There was a meme I saw (the one where someone is stacking down domino’s from smallest to largest (or vice versa)) and it was of Far Cry, and had Takkar (doing something unquestionably and unnecessarily ridiculous) as the smallest domino and the largest domino as Dani (also doing something unquestionably and unnecessarily ridiculous) and it basically joked “all far cry protagonists are descendants of Takkar”. And I find it hilarious, because despite how unlikely it is, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was true.

All the protagonist have (at least one) good qualities, enough to do something for the right reason, while being capable of so much violence, and at the same time do something unquestionably risky and ridiculous that just makes me go “yep, there’s Takkar’s genes kicking in.”

What about you? Do you think there’s some “secret connection” between the protags and Takkar?

I believe the only character from Primal who’s canonically connected to another character from the Far Cry franchise is Urki, the ancestor of Hurk, and by extension of Adelaide and/or Hurk Sr. and Sharky.

I don’t know if there are other connections between the Far Cry protagonists or if some are secretly related (in the minds of the writers), but according to a study from 2004, mathematically, the last common ancestor of all living humans may have lived only a few thousand years ago! Primal takes place in 10,000 BC, approximately 12,000 years ago, so they might actually all descend from Takkar!

And in a sense, I guess we could also say that all Far Cry protagonists are descendants of Jack Carver :)

Honestly love the use of PIE in Far Cry Primal, its what originally drew me to the game. And for the most part it sounds believable EXCEPT any cutscene w Urki I have to skip because Dylan Taylor has the strongest Canadian accent in the game and it immediately ruins the immersion lmfao like bro sounds like he was air lifted and dropped from Toronto to 10000 bce Central Europe

Ig the character is a ref to other characters in other Far Cry games? But irregardless the guy gave 0% effort into sounding idk lmfao less from modern North America xd which sucks cuz his lines arent horribly done, the character is fun, but the accent is so jarring next to every other character lol

Shalomeyshaloom is an idea I had for a new character who was inspired by Venom and Frankenstein

And his backstory is that on the planet Urky Durky, Jerry Jester was trying to make a serum that could give him Shape Shifting abilities, but he somehow failed and the serum had a life of its own and became Shalomeyshaloom. And Jerry was too lazy to fix it so he just sent it to Earth

And he has the same abilities as Venom, and like Frankenstein he tries to do good deeds but everyone thinks he’s a monster, and he usually accidentally makes things worse

Urki had a dog named Sadie outside of the maze, it probably still talks about her from time to time! They still really love animals and spend a lot of time with Kato, Wren, and Odyssey tending to the animals in the clearing. Their favorite animal there is actually one of the quail that it's named "Pip".

2. a sad headcanon

They're afraid of loving people, and that's been slowly driving a wedge between it, Wren, and Odyssey. Something about the responsibility that comes with loving somebody makes its heart hurt.

i blame this song for giving me ideas.

wren, odyssey, urki, altair, and kato are all sitting together trading jokes and playing some dumb board game (probably monopoly; altair is winning)

sylvester and accius are in the kitchen, sylvester's spilled flour everywhere and is just trying to finish preparing the food while accius makes the mess worse. they're having a great time.

bowen is supervising the disaster in the kitchen, talking with melody about how he couldn't do much better. melody just sighs and pretends she won't have to help with cleaning up later

ivy, morrigan, and nyx (who almost didn't get invited, but sylvester said they wouldn't show if everyone wasn't invited) are chatting near the door, waiting for the last two to show up. ivy's pretty certain that pandora and lyra just aren't going to show, it's almost been an hour since the party started.

but, there's a knock at the door and there pandora is, talking about being sorry for running late, but that he was busy and work ran late, and morrigan just tells him to get inside.

lyra's the last to show up, horribly late but nobody really complains when she hands each person a small gift, saying that they're from oliver. even if he didn't actually show up.

by midnight, half of the people there are passed out on the couch, and pandora's telling some "has to be fake" story about what he was up to that day. sylvester and nyx are still at odds with each other, but they're actually talking.

life is good, even if it's just for one holiday :)
