Can allistics make sense please why is it rude to play up your body language to broadcast that you’re uncomfortable bc it’s too loud but at the same time asking calmly if they wouldn’t mind being a little quieter is met with the same vitriol as if you’d screamed at them to shut up. Can’t leave the room unannounced to take a break (that’s rude), can’t ask to step out for a minute to take a break (that’s also rude). You have to smile and take it and smile and take it and God Forbid you show any emotion except placid contentment (not even joy; your joy is unpalatable to them) or else you are Ruining Everything for Everyone. Any expression of your needs or boundaries is an inherent act of aggression because deep down the allistic world has never moved past the idea that autistics are fairy children disguised to look human. To them you are a monster; it is in your nature. You’d butcher yourself into pieces and let everyone pick their choice cut if you thought it would help. Its not enough. It’s never enough.
