Have the Boleyn tabs been changed to loops with green inside for all costumes?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Photos @isaacgrinnellphoto on Instagram
Yes! That started with the Boleyn redesign for Broadway in 2020 (what I call the 3.0 costume). It's been used for practically all new Boleyn costumes ever since:
Tumblr media
(Joan Marcus, naomialade1, b__shannon__b, _animalise)
Above examples are Andrea Macasaet (2020 Broadway), Naomi Alade (2023-25 West End), 배수정 (Pae Su-jeong, 2023 South Korea), and Analise Rios (Breakaway 6.0).
All current costumes have the looped tabs and green lining. However, in some prior costumes there’s been a few exceptions:
Tumblr media
(aisforashleee, paiged_perc, James D Morgan)
L’Oréal Roaché and Ashlee Waldbauer (Bliss 3.0) both had the 3.0 looped tabs but it didn’t appear to have the green backing.
Kala Gare (2021-23 Australian Tour) has been in an earlier production and re-used her 2.0-style costume, which had the 2.0 flat tabs rather than the 3.0 looped tabs. They added some studs to her flat tabs to mimic the 3.0 design changes, but didn’t actually replace them with looped.
Also, thank you for including the photo credit in your ask. Always appreciated.

Happy Asian and Pacific Islander Month to our queens!
Here in the US, May is Asian-American and Pacific Islander month. So just like last year, I'll be highlighting the Asian and Pacific Islander queens of Six. This year is especially fun as there's currently an Asian or Pacific Islander queen in every currently-running replica production of Six!

Six Fun Fact
Because I'm obsessed with spreadsheets, I've been slowly adding more and more data to my little (ok it's big and slows my computer down hardcore) spreadsheet of Six information. After adding initial debut dates for every role each performer had, I came across a little fun fact: of the 73 unique debut orders performers in Six who performed 2 to 6 roles have had, there have, to this date, been 3 groups of people who debuted all the roles they have performed (again, to this date) in the exact same order; 2 groups of 3 who debuted 3 roles, and 1 group of 2 who debuted 2 roles:
Seymour/Howard/Parr
Elizabeth Walker (Breakaway 1.0)
Tumblr media
Seymour Debut: 16 January 2020
Howard Debut: 18 February 2020
Parr Debut: 26 February 2020
Ellie Sharpe (Breakaway 2.0)
Tumblr media
Seymour Debut: 11 October 2021
Howard Debut: 10 November 2021
Parr Debut: 14 February 2022
Jessie Davidson (Broadway 3.0)
Tumblr media
Seymour Debut: 23 March 2024
Howard Debut: 7 April 2024
Parr Debut: 6 May 2024
Boleyn/Howard/Seymour
Bryony Duncan (Bliss 1.0)
Tumblr media
Boleyn Debut: 8 September 2019
Howard Debut: 23 September 2019
Seymour Debut: 18 December 2019
Ashlee Waldbauer (Bliss 3.0)
Tumblr media
Boleyn Debut: 22 November 2021 (First Show)
Howard Debut: 22 November 2021 (Second Show)
Seymour Debut: 3 January 2022
Izzy Formby-Jackson (Bliss 7.0)
Tumblr media
Boleyn Debut: 30 November 2023
Howard Debut: 2 February 2023
Seymour Debut: 13 January 2024
Aragon/Cleves:
Shekinah McFarlane (West End 1.0)
Tumblr media
Aragon Debut: 4 September 2019
Cleves Debut: 5 September 2019
Ella Burns (Australia 1.0)
Tumblr media
Aragon Debut: 25 January 2020
Cleves Debut: 28 February 2020
*All photos taken from performers' and/or production members' social medias except the following:

Shekinah Aragon (@shonalosuise_photography on Instagram)
**Bryony's photo as Seymour was from her as a Swing in the West End 2.0 production and Shekinah's Cleves photo as Cleves was from her as Principal in the UK Tour 2.0 production, despite them debuting these roles in the Bliss 1.0 and West End 1.0 productions, respectively.

The History of Swingo, Part 14: Imperial Swingo
This section will briefly discuss alternates/swings that performed in more roles than would be expected based on the structure of the productions they were in.
Tumblr media
(Mallory Maedke (L) as Seymour and Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert as Cleves during the pre-Broadway tour.)
Mallory Maedke and Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert were the alternates on the pre-Broadway US tour. They each covered 3 roles, Mallory B/S/H and Nicole A/C/P, and used alternate costumes, Mallory in black with the Boleyn skirt and miniskirt variations and Nicole in teal with pants and Cleves. By the time the production opened on Broadway, two more alts had been hired and they each changed one cover for better coverage overall, Mallory to A/S/H and Nicole to A/B/C, leading to them having each performed 4 roles overall.
Tumblr media
(From L to R: Marily Caserta as Boleyn, Cassie Silva as Cleves, Wesley Carpenter as Howard.)
Marilyn Caserta, Cassie Silva, and Wesley Carpenter have all been universal alternates for the US productions and thus learned four roles. Marilyn was a cruise swing for Bliss 3.0 covering A/C/P and added Boleyn to her covers when she became a universal alt. Cassie was originally a B/C/H alt for the Aragon tour before becoming a universal alternate and picking up Aragon as her fourth cover; she later became principal Boleyn on the Boleyn tour. Wesley covered B/S/H/P; prior to becoming a universal alternate she was principal Seymour in the same cruise cast as Marilyn.
Tumblr media
(Jana Larell Glover (center) as Cleves with the Boleyn tour cast.)
Jana Larell Glover is currently a Broadway alternate covering A/B/C/P. She was previously a Boleyn tour alternate covering A/C/P and picked up the fourth cover when she joined the Broadway cast; it’s unclear why she learned a fourth cover as no other non-universal US alternate has covered four roles.
Tumblr media
(Willow Dougherty (L) as Seymour and Abbi Hodgson as Boleyn.)
Willow Dougherty and Abbi Hodgson were both cruise swings that worked multiple contracts, Willow in the 4th and 8th Bliss productions and Abbi in the 2nd Bliss and 2nd and 5th Breakaway productions. Willow covered A/S/H in her first contract and B/S/H in their second; Abbi covered A/B/C in her first two contracts and A/C/P in her third; resulting in each performing 4 roles total.
Tumblr media
(Liv Alexander (L) as Aragon on the West End and Madeline Fanser as Aragon with the AUS tour.)
Liv Alexander and Madeline Fansler were both cruise swings who became swings in non-cruise productions for a short time, during which they each debuted a fourth role. Liv was originally an A/B/C swing in the first Breakaway production, after which she became a universal swing for the UK productions and performed one show as Seymour. She later became principal Boleyn in the second Breakaway cruise production. Madeline Fansler covered A/S/P in the third Breakaway production, after which she was brought onto the 2021-23 AUS tour for the last five months to provide additional coverage and performed one show as Boleyn (her last performance with Six).

Marilyn Caserta’s Universal Alt Costumes
Tumblr media
We’ve finally seen all of Marilyn Caserta’s costumes as universal alternate!
She initially debuted in her NCL costume as Aragon over the summer. She’s since gotten a John Kristiansen costume. Her top is reused from Mallory Maedke but she got a new skirt and leotard.
Marilyn added Boleyn to her covers as universal swing, which she debuted on Broadway in another new John Kristiansen costume.
She got an updated Cleves costume with a closed jacket. As of her Cleves debut with Boleyn Tour in Feb 2023, she doesn’t have a reveal costume set yet.
Marilyn is still using her NCL costume for Parr. That could change in the future. More details here.
She’s also received new wigs for all four roles and a new pair of US alt style boots.
