Perfumes Used in Your Practice.

In this post I'll wanna talk about perfumes or (parfum) in French and colognes. Now if you seen my other post on colognes I talk about this I a older post link at the bottom. In this post I want to dive a little deeper on these threes by .L.T.Piver

These are some that popular in Haitian Vodou, New Orleans Voodoo, Puerto Rico Espiritismo, Sanse , Santeria and so on. These are all ADR religions. All these perfume or lotions is what there were called are good for spiritual bath and what someone like me would use them for.

But let's get into it; starting with the earliest one.

Starting with the 1885, Alphonse Heliotrope Blanc”, the first Eau de Cologne. This is another good one can be used in protecting and ward off negative energy, bad energies, Great for spiritual baths like cleanings can be added with coconut water Florida water etc for your baths.

Next we have Reve d'Or: Released in 1889. This old school scent is characterized by woody and aromatic accords. This would be used also in spiritual baths and is giving to the Vodou Spirits such as Erzulie Dantor, also Oya, Mami Wata. If your into neopaganism this is used for the Crone aspect of the Goddess.

Last we have POMPEIA" was created in 1907, it floral with an oriental note. This type of smell would have been popular in Ancient Egypt used in baths as well or worn by someone like Cleopatra. Some will offer it to La Sirène, Yemaya, Saint Clare of Assisi, sometimes Simbi even the Mothered Goddess in New age

Now the three together if you follow a ADR religion like it can represent the three Orishas like Oya, Oshun and Yemaya. In Vodou it would be Erzulie Dantor, Erzulie Freda and La Sirène.

In let's say Espiritismo I was told The Three Marias" generally refer to the spirits of Mary Magdalene, the Virgin Mary, and Mary Cleophas (also called Faith, Hope and Charity.) 👇

It can represent the three goddess. The Maiden, Mother, Crone. 👇

They can represent The Moirai or three Greek Goddesses of Fate and Destiny, or Moirae Mythopedia, also known as the Fates. They are Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos. 👇

Randomly wondering why Emmerdale hasn't brought in any long lost Sugdens; real, adjacent (Merricks!) or retconned, in these last 10ish years or so, besides Robert. And I'm not even talking long-term, just at all!

Let's see.

When Robert arrived back, he was tacked-on to a family he was only related to by marriage-to-be, the Whites. They were wealthy, powerful and had a three generation dynamic he wasn't a part of, as Lachlan wasn't his child (we got to meet Donny later). Of course Rebecca completed the White line-up.

Making Robert a dad was super important to TPTB, but even then, Robert lost Seb to Liverpool long before Ryan Hawley gave his leaving notice.

In contrast we have the Dingles and the Dingle add-ons. Here is what I could think of right now; A secret daughter for Marlon in April, Kyle came back to live in the village, they brought in Aaron's sister Liv, then we had Faith re-cast, Mandy came back + Vinny, brand new secret sons - Ryan for Charity (and his son Oscar on top of that!) and Nate for Cain, and finally Caleb, his wife Ruby and their son Nicky.

Not to mention the people who have married and/or had kids with Dingles.

They brought in several Bartons, relatives by marriage to Moira, but blood relatives to her children; James, Ross, Pete and Finn + Emma, then a return from Holly, Matty and finally a brother for Moira; Mackenzie.

Tates: they started with Joe (and Graham who was very entangled with the whole family) followed by Kim, then Jamie, Andrea and Millie (and Millie's maternal granny), and also Caleb and his family who are both Dingle and Tate adjacent.

The Anderson family was extended with daughter Naomi, mother Claudette and father Victor, and we even got to meet the mum/ex-wife.

We got two new Sharmas in Amit and Suni, plus the return of Archie, a couple of extra King kids in Elliot and Carl + nephew Tom, Meena was Manpreet's sister, Chloe was Kerry's secret daughter and Amy's sister, and Paddy got a brand new dad in Bear. Vanessa and Tracy were made sisters and got a joint dad in Frank. Rhona's mother Mary came and stayed, and then there was Gus and a new biological baby with no cheating story!

Heck, we were even subjected to Wendy's creepy ex-husband, Russ, making the total Posner count four characters + they made one of them "father" to Harry!

Both Jack and Joe Sugden were away from the village plenty, as was Robert. They could have gotten up to all sorts. Andy had a whole other birth family, but they all disappeared. Robert has two half siblings in Sandie and Tommy (he is something of a mystery), and they are bound to have families of their own. And what about Sarah Sr, couldn't she have a relative or two out there in the world, who would be blood relatatives to Victoria and Harry? Kathy was very much a part of the Sugden family, she had at least one kid in Australia we've only ever heard of.

I don't know if the show doesn't 'dare' mess around with the Sugdens and feel they are a bit 'untouchable' or if they just plain and simple aren't at all interested in them? (Actually I can guess.) But I still think it's weird and the Dingles should never have taken over the whole village like this.

That turned into quite a long post, if anyone made it to the end of it, sorry! 🙈

The wedding of Princess Ceanna Stagfield and Prince Ewan of House Dalriada was a grand affair, a celebration of love and unity between the kingdoms of Aethelmark and Caledonia. The ceremony took place in the magnificent cathedral of Mistpeak, the heart of the Caledonian kingdom.

Guests from far and wide had gathered to witness the union of the two young royals. Among them were Ceanna's mother, Queen Genevieve of Aethelmark, and her companion, Sir Nehemiah Pearce, their presence a testament to the delicate peace that had been forged between these two families. Also in attendance were Prince Ewan's parents, King Duncan and Queen Moira, and his three younger sisters, Princess Fiona, Princess Alisa, and Princess Mary.

The cathedral was adorned with vibrant flowers and lush greenery, casting a spell of enchantment over the proceedings. As the ceremony commenced, the air was filled with the melodious chants of the choir, their voices echoing through the hallowed halls.

Ceanna, resplendent in a gown of shimmering silk and lace, walked down the aisle, her heart pounding with a mixture of excitement and apprehension. Her eyes met those of Prince Ewan, and a smile lit up his face. He looked every bit the dashing prince, his eyes twinkling with admiration.

The ceremony was a beautiful blend of tradition and heartfelt vows. As the priest pronounced them husband and wife, a wave of joy washed over the congregation. Confetti rained down from the balconies, and the air was filled with the sound of jubilant cheers.

After the ceremony, a lavish feast was held in the grand hall of the castle. Guests dined on sumptuous dishes, danced to lively music, and toasted the happy couple. Ceanna and Ewan moved gracefully among their guests, their faces radiating happiness.

As the night drew to a close, the newlyweds retired to their chambers, their hearts overflowing with love and anticipation for the future.

Philip and Anastasia are Micropremies, being born at 25 weeks. This was due to an emergency c-section needing to be done because their mother was on the verge of death. (She died 2 minutes afterwards)

Ali did color guard all throught school. Rifle was her favorite

Lex is a major history buff while Mary is very into Literature

Cecelia and Barty are THE stem siblings, with Cecelia being recognized as a math prodigy and Barty is a chemical genius

Moira graduated valedictorian and studies biochemistry

Bella is a bit of a germaphobe and is almost constantly wearing gloves (but like fashion)

Darren Madison (the father of all the Madison excluding Lex) is a Senator

Christopher Duke (Bella's dad) is COO of a major conglomerate

Damian studies Law, wanting to specialize in Imagration law

Hycthina is a med student while Orpheia is a poet/songwriter

Both Ali and Lex have absent fathers, neither of them taking their fathers name. Ali took her step father's while Lex took his mother's maiden name

Hycthina is the one who lives with Lex and the rest while Orpheia lives with their mom's side of the family. This is due to a messy custody battle occurring after their mom died just 2 weeks after their godmother (Anastasia the elder). There wasn't a good reason for either to have them, with the LeBeau's having shaky legal ties to their mother and the state no recognizing Lilianne as a suitable substitution for Anastasia (despite being her sister)

Backstory: Hope’s mother was a nun named Margaret in Rome, Italy. She was only 24 years old when had a miraculous pregnancy. At first the people from her convent believed she broke her vows and slept with a man. The Doctors confirmed that Margaret was indeed still a virgin.

Once Hope was born she was raised in the church and they kept her miraculous birth a secret from her. The young child had gifts and eventually catches the attention of The Supreme Cordelia Goode and her coven of witches believing that she was one herself.

Hopes Grandmother, was a witch who attended Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies. So, it wasn’t too far off for them to believe that she was a witch herself. That is where she officially meets The Antichrist Michael Langdon. As a child she used to dream of a blonde boy named Michael. She was terrified to learn that he was real.

INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER

[ Gwendolyn “Wendy” Dare (Wendy Darling, Peter Pan), she/her, CIS female, 24, demisexual Face claim: Ellie Bamber ] Dreams of exploring dark caverns by fairy light and nightmares of being captured and threatened by pirates are becoming more and more vivid for Gwendolyn Dare. Still just quick flashes, they should be nothing more than dreams, but they feel so real. The elementary school teacher has always been known to be kind and creative, however at times can be distracted and doubt herself. She can often be spotted in the local tea shop, usually reading or writing in her favorite notebook. Her friendly smile, calming presence, and feminine style with hints of whimsy like hair bows (they seem to remind her of something) always has her standing out.

FAIRYTALE LIFE

Wendy Moira Angela Darling had always been an imaginative child. Though her world was decidedly not, from the time she could think she was dreaming up wonderful possibilities. Her mother encouraged her charming stories, and she shared them with her two younger brothers, John and Michael. A trip to the market was a quest for the lost grail, and it was important that they not stray from Nana, the family’s faithful Saint Bernard, on walks through Kensington park because there was a warrant out for their arrest and she was their faithful werewolf guard. But her favorite topics were pirates and treasure hunts. Though Wendy’s world was not so imaginative, there were worlds that were, just past the thin membrane of her reality. Beings from such worlds often broke through, which was how she’d met her childhood best friend, Peter.

Peter Pan lived in the Never Land, and said he’d used to live in London like her, but had run away to have adventures. She thought it sounded terribly lonely- she couldn’t imagine losing her brothers and parents. Peter and Wendy got on like a house on fire, playing at imagination with and without John and Michael. When Peter returned from the Never Land, he brought with him stories of his escapades against the blood thirsty Captain Hook and his men, and while he was away, Wendy, John, and Michael made him the hero of their own games. Everything was perfect. But, as Wendy grew, her father began to grow concerned about what he called her “fanciful nature.” Most concerning, perhaps, was her tendency to speak of her imaginary friend Peter Pan (for George had certainly never met such a person, even if Mary said their daughter was merely making up stories about a friend their children played with. Women and their silliness) as though he were real. No daughter of George Darling would be addled in the head, unable to perceive reality. His sister Moira had had to be institutionalized back before he’d married, and it had been a huge embarrassment for his family. So, George decided to send Wendy off to finishing school, before it was too late. His own father had always said that if he had done so, things would have ended differently with Moira. His daughter needed to understand reality and her limitations within it. Then she would be happy.

Wendy was mortified. Nothing had ever threatened the perfect life she had with her brothers, and she didn’t know how to cope with the change. Peter found her crying when he next came, and was outraged that her father was sending her away “to grow up.” He insisted she come with him to the Never Land. Now, Wendy was destined to grow up of her own accord, and that two days earlier than other girls. But, she was afraid to leave everything she knew. And she had never wanted anything more than to go on a real adventure. And she’d grown up with the Never Land. It felt like home. The only thing that had kept her home before was her family, and now she stood to be separated from that as well. So it was that Wendy, John, and Michael first went with Peter to the Never Land. Wendy fell in love with all of it: the island, the people, the adventures, the sword play. Not conforming to the factions of pirate-native-mermaid-lost boy, she set up her own home - with the lost boys’ help - in the midst of it all. She befriended Tiger Lily, next in line to lead her people, something she could never have imagined in King Edward VII’s England. She went on adventures with the boys. She watched the mermaids from afar, quickly learning that to do anymore was to wish for death. And she befriended a dear wolf who had been separated from her pack, whom she named Luna, to accompany her on her adventures. Most of all, she relished her time with her brothers and with Peter. Though she adored this new sense of independence and adventure that the Never Land brought her, she soon found that John and Michael were forgetting their lives at home. She didn’t know why they were and she wasn’t, but they’d started to believe that she was their mother - what had started as a game with the lost boys. Perhaps it was their age. And then there had been the falling out with Peter. She was afraid for everything to change, for her to lose the life she’d built for herself in the Never Land, but she couldn’t keep her brothers here and have them forget their parents.

She’d shared her concerns with her best friend, and he told her of when he had attempted to return home only to find his parents had shut him out. Perhaps he had done so to convince her that her parents had already forgotten them and that they should stay, but it only struck fear into her. It had been one thing to run away, but it was quite another to never be able to return. She said they had to leave immediately, sparking the only fight she and Peter had ever had. But of course, Peter would not keep them there. Afterwards, he sulkily informed her that a fairy would take her and her brothers home and, enchanted by the novelty, the lost boys chose to go with them. However, they were kidnapped by Hook and his men, intent on revenge and finally having found Peter’s home, before they left. The hours that followed were the most terrifying of Wendy’s life. Though they’d had a few run-ins with pirates previously, none had seemed as dire as this. And then Hook had claimed to have killed her best friend. And the last thing they had done was fight. In the end, it turned out alright. Peter arrived miraculously and freed them, and they arrived in England no worse for wear. The lost boys still wanted to remain with her, but try as she might, Wendy could not convince Peter to undertake this new adventure with her. The worst thing was that he seemed to genuinely want to come with her, but his fear of growing up was holding him back from life. From her. She’d thought their friendship had meant more to him. So, Peter returned to the Never Land, and Wendy embarked on the adventure of Finishing School. She made fast friends and excelled in her lessons. Her school was one of some that included such subjects as English, history, and fine arts in an effort to make their girls more “interesting,” to their future husbands (in addition to typical subjects such as embroidery, social graces, and horseback riding), and she relished the learning. It was difficult to not be allowed popular novels, but she always had her imagination. Still, she learned quickly to catalog her personal stories in her head, rather to write them where anyone should find them. One of her fairy friends from the Never Land even came to visit her from time to time, and she would carry Wendy’s letters to Tiger Lily. Though, she still had the occasional nightmare about that day she and her brothers had been captive aboard the Jolly Roger.

But, as Wendy grew into a young woman, she missed the agency that she’d had in the Never Land. She missed the magic. She began to ponder what she wanted in life, and though she greatly enjoyed the thought of balls and meeting a nice young man who valued her thoughts and opinions, starting a family with him, she quickly came to the realization that she would not be happy forsaking adventure in order to have that. She would have both, or she would waste away. So, she planned, and with Tiger Lily’s and her fairy friend’s help, she journeyed back to the Never Land, and from there to the enchanted forest with Luna. Her old Never Land skills served her well as she began to set out on her new life as an adventurer. She wanted to see what the magical world had to offer her, and if she had a place in it. She spent time traveling between cities, meeting people and seeing the sites. And so, it came to be that she was in the enchanted forest when the curse washed through the land, and she awoke someone new.

Cursed Life

Gwendolyn “Wendy” Dare grew up an imaginative child, safe and secure with her brothers and parents. A modern man, her father did not find his daughter to be a threat to traditional values or to be in need of an institution. Ever a social conformist, he was well aware that a woman could do anything she set her mind to. And if that were true, that went double for any daughter of his. But, in this world, Wendy was diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis. Sometimes, her joints would swell and stiffen, making it difficult to get around. More often, she would get the pain without the swelling. Sometimes no more than a twinge, sometimes causing her to limp, and on rare occasions making her incapable of moving without pain. Her condition did not affect her plans for the future. She still wanted to travel the world on adventures, to have excitement, to help people. But her father had even higher hopes. Didn’t she want to get a doctorate? Become a lawyer? Go into politics? Frankly, no. Wendy works at the local elementary school as a second grade teacher. Some days it’s hard to get around… and there are those nightmares about being captive aboard a pirate ship that occasionally keep her up at night. But she loves her kids and how she’s able to encourage, support, and teach them. And she indulges the storyteller in her by writing whenever she can. Yet, she grew up with big dreams of adventure. What happened to the girl who wanted to travel the world? Shouldn’t she want to achieve for all the women in years past who couldn’t make their mark on the world? While she is happy making her little impacts on her class (even if she is a disappointment to her family), she can’t help but wonder… is that a lie she tells herself because she can’t handle anything more? Sometimes she thinks it is. Maybe she’s weak. But, she’s so, so tired… whether that’s due to her father’s expectations, her condition, her nightmares, or her mother getting sick (which made Wendy up any hope of traveling the world indefinitely). Maybe she’s cursed. She’d never thought being an adult would be this hard.

HEADCANONS:

• Lives in a little apartment to give herself some sense of privacy, but it’s relatively close to her parents so she can see her mother and brothers. (Once we have more characters, a roommate would be a nice connection) • Her brothers joke that, given her penchant for pirate stories, they ought to get a walking cane made for her with a sword concealed inside. • Single. Romantically minded but cautious • Favorite books are The Magician’s Nephew and Pride and Prejudice • Wendy loves overcast skies, she calls it “adventure weather.” It feels like something is about to happen, and it’s also the best backdrop to sitting in the window with tea or hot chocolate and reading. -One summer, drafted her brothers into preforming a play with her because they complained they were bored • Has a little fairy garden by her front door.
