What motivated her to do such a dishonorable act is known by her closest confidants. Only they will eventually come to learn that Hawke’s acquaintanceship with the Arishok had turned to something deeper. In the end, Hawke could not bring herself to kill the man she loved.

They first saw it piercing through Evranin’s heart, glimmering in flames, raining blood on their faces.
