in my humble opinion as someone with multiple cluster b disorders including bpd, the aim shouldn't be to "cure" it at all, because trauma cannot be cured and this is not an attainable goal, which sets an unfair precedent for us ourselves as victims of the disorder. the aim should instead be to heal and rehabilitate to a point where you can cope with the behaviors you've developed that are connected to the trauma. healing will happen, but the desire to "cure" all "sick" people is not a helpful stance to have and is way more damaging than it is helpful. hurt people don't need to be "cured" so much as just understood and helped. "curing" us is very much a medicalized idea that bases a person's worth on their ability to function. you and your struggles will always be valid, whether you heal or not, whether you're "cured" or not <3

wait, does everybody really not wish they were plural? I just kinda always thought that and like talking to yourself all the time (but out loud and not auditory hallucinations so its normal) and only being able to access certain emotions sometimes and then feeling them overwhelmingly, and like having multiple names that you switch between at any given time were just standard parts of the human experience, and being plural meant you had to like lose large swathes of memory and wake up in the middle of situations and events

i loved episode 17 but im gonna be so honest, i'm kind of disappointed that they're probably never gonna discuss evil paper again. when brian teased it i thought, "oh, maybe they're gonna revisit him and flesh him out more so he's a better representation of did and explore how alters like him often form to protect the body in some way. maybe he'll come back and protect paper from mephone x somehow", kind of like how invitational took the time to explore yin-yang more and make them a more respectful portrayal of did systems. but nah, we just get a jab at how evil paper was "reductive" and nothing else. i know i shouldn't have gotten my hopes up and the crew probably think it's for the best that he stays gone (understandable), but man..... missed opportunity :^(

I propose ShellFern propaganda for being Moonpaw's new parents: imagine how the clans would take the first "half clan" kit being born since the new rule being instilled being this really special kid with a really unique appearance. Some would absolutely take it as a sign for this being good, others it being a sign of the devil Dark Forest and both sides would be using her as "proof that the new law is good/bad". A whole ass other storyline for others going on that Moonpaw is unaware of while the main story is unfolding.

They DID tease in the article that she could be a force for good or for evil. If they actually do something with that, I could have the cats in other Clans have opinions about this, be passively speculating about what Moonpaw will turn out to be. We will also be having insight with Tawnypelt and Waspstar (replacing Leafstar in BB) into the goings-on outside of ThunderClan as well...

Perhaps. Let's see if she has any siblings, or if the writers immediately toss ShellFern a litter of babies.

Shout out to plural allies. Like. Genuinely. We love y'all. It's so rare for a singlet to really Get It, and oftentimes even after we come out it feels like we're still in the closet. So shout out to singlets who listen and who do their best to understand and who make the effort to treat us like individual people. We love you. We appreciate your efforts a lot more than you probably know.

Btw, may I ramble/rant about Stranger for a bit? Imma ramble about Stranger for a bit.

Most posts I see on them seem to be about the facets of Stranger audibly disagreeing with each other, and talking at different turns, when, like, that’s not how they work?

Even in their own route, when they all mesh together, they talk in unison — yes, their tones and their predominant emotions are different, but they all have the same goal — and all ask the same things (“Did you do this? Did we do this? Can you pull us back apart?”), and in the Stranger ending variant, they always refer to themselves as a collective, they work as a group — a system! — and when they talk, they talk for all of them.

Not to mean they don’t have disagreements within themselves, I imagine they very much do, but I think those are mostly dealt with internally — much like the Shifting Mound will spend their time in introspection, getting to know each vessel you give them individually, and waiting till their complete so that they can all figure out their goal as a unity.

Anyway, do y’all think Stranger would take up on sewing so that they can make clothes that’ll fit them and also personalize it to each alter’s taste?
