Sinestro being married to the embodiment of space and said deity crying on Hal's couch is not something he expected upon returning to earth after Sinestro betrays the GLs.

Yellow Lantern Phantom!

Danny had no idea how he got the Yellow Ring in the first place; at first, he wanted to bring fear to people! But then he learned, he can meet aliens! Well, time to learn how to use fear! Vlad willingly helped him. Go be a Poltergeist on the people who don't want to send money to Amity Park because of "fake ghost attacks".  Danny was having much more fun with that than he should have, but man, that was funny.

It was in Coast City where Danny had been pranking a politician for Vlad, as it seemed to have an invasion!  He can finally use that new power ring of his! It's time to have fun!

Danny had Both Sinestro and Hal Jordan were bewildered by the appearance of a child wearing a yellow lantern ring playing with the Parademons. The notion was utterly baffled as to why a child could even wield the power of fear.

Why Can't We Be Friends?

Before John can spend his rare downtime bonding with his childhood friend Angela Foley's son for the next two weeks, he first has to find someone to babysit the... weird looking creature that's apparently his nephew in all but blood's best friend. Not an easy feat given how clingy to the point of being attached to the hip the ferret shaped thing is.

Tucker has to bribe his pet(?) with hanging with the Green Lanterns along with the rest of the Justice League up in the Watchtower(they'll definitely be discussing that later) just to convince him to not try and tagalong. And that's how Hal finds himself dealing with the major headache that is Phantom.

No, he's not exaggerating. That's exactly what the measly gremlin is with his constant demands for food, affection, or playtime from anyone who's present and insistence on getting into whatever he can, one never-ending headache. What makes it even more taxing is how everyone else, even Batman is so wrapped up in how "cute and lovable" the little bugger is they see nothing wrong with his annoying antics.

And as if it couldn't get any worse, the tiny menace seems to have taken a liking to him the most out of all the League and won't quit following him around. It's like dealing with an abnormally needy and scarily intelligent cat, and Hal absolutely abhors cats.

That said, he does find himself feeling just a smidge of regret when he allows his stress over a grueling patrol to get the best of him and yells at the little creep for drinking his coffee. If it'll get everyone off his back and stop Phantom from making those hurt puppy dog eyes at him he'll make it up to the diminutive devil later somehow. Right after he sneaks a nap in while he's stuck on monitor duty.

But of course Phantom won't even allow him that, as he's now pestering him rather persistently with that aggravating chirping and trilling. Since napping is no longer an option he'll just see what Phantom wants and hopefully get rid of him for at least a few minutes afterwards. So Hal slowly drags himself into consciousness, and is met with a large oddly colored hunk of swiss cheese?

Waking up a bit more he starts hearing the swiss cheese begging him for death. Okay, clearly something's wrong with this picture. Wiping the last of the sleep from his eyes Hal looks again, and is instantly screaming in horror upon realizing what he had mistook for swiss cheese in his sleepy haze is actually Sinestro, looking very much like he'd fought a school of piranhas and the piranhas won. With all the blood and all the chunks of missing flesh and skin Hal can see why his former mentor was pleading with him to end him.

And throughout all this that little monster Phantom is staring up at him, perched on the barely alive korugaran, covered in his blood and looking far too pleased with himself. If it weren't for Hal's training and fortitude he'd either be running scared or having a nervous breakdown. That doesn't stop him from being immensely relieved over no longer having to be on guard around Phantom once John finally comes to get the miniscule hellion off the Watchtower.

Though it would be nice if; Superman stopped trying to guilt trip him. *He swears on everything holy he's gonna find the biggest piece of kryptonite and shove it where the sun don't shine if he has to listen to how Phantom never would have did what he did if Hal hadn't been so harsh one more time.*

Wonder Woman ceased with her badgering about how he should have shown more appreciation towards Phantom and the gift he had bestowed upon him.*He'd love to see just how appreciative she'd be if it was Cheetah getting dumped in front of her all chewed... oh wait.*

Flash quit laughing at him. *Shut the hell up Allen. He did NOT scream like a little girl.*

And most of all, John and all the other GL dropped it about how they were so jealous he was the one Phantom gifted instead of them. *Seriously guys? With all that little miser put him through, that's what you're taking from it?*

Fear vs Fear

Danny was doing homework when Fright knight came to him.

FK: I would like your permission to go out on a Quest.

DP: Why are you asking me?

FK: You are the Guardian of the portal, a keeper of balance, and may be the next ghost king. So i ask your leave.

DP: What is this quest?

FK: It has come to my attention that there is a energy entity out in the stars who claims to be the emotional embodiment of fear and is powering this "Sinestro Corps" to do heinious deeds in the name of fear and terror. I seek to eliminate this corps and give this "Parallax" a beating and a lesson in true fear.

DP: Parallax sounds like a pharmaceutical drug or a laxative.

FK: Fear work well as a laxative. Your friend Tucker knows this very well.

DP: I thought you were the embodiment of fear?

FK: I AM.

DP: OK permission uh granted i guess.

Fright Knight bows then turns to go but is interrupted.

DP: oh and Fright knight?

FK: Hmm?

DP: win.

FK: of course.

Highly recommend keeping an eye on this series. It is focused on General Zod's son and Sinestro's son. Both want revenge on their Dads. Both want to leave a mark on the universe.

Dp x DC fans especially might want to keep an eye on it. Imagine the son of a yellow lantern meeting Danny in ghost form and mistaking him as a Green Lantern. Or in a world that ectoplasm is similar to kryptonite how would Lor-Zod handle a being that is the physical form of a major weakness.

Danny as a Villains mentor

We always see fics where Danny is the Mentor to a Hero

Danny as a Mentor to Batman, to Shazam, to Superman, basically everything

But what about a world where Danny is just really Morally Grey. Where he decides to help a fledgling Villain in their exploits because he just really likes them

And there are so many possibilities!

Maybe Vandal Savage was one of Danny’s longest friends, both of them being immortal and all

Maybe Lex Luthor, famously a Skeptic, wanted to disprove his childhood friends when they said Ghosts were real. So he tries to summon a Ghost and ends up meeting Danny. Who then shares his technical Knowledge with him, and helps him become as successful as he is nowadays

Maybe Sinestro was one of his space friends, and when he grew dissatisfied with the way the GLC handled things, Danny helped him forge his Yellow Ring

Maybe Danny was a good friend of Ra’s Al Ghul before he became Immortal? Maybe he was the one to give him the Lazarus Pit, or the one who trained him in combat as a kid

So many possibilities!

Sinestro and General Zods Kids Join Forces in "Sinister Sons" Comic Book Series

DC Comics has announced Sinister Sons from writer Peter J. Tomasi and artist David Lafuente. The series will follow Lor-Zod, son of General Zod, and Sinson, son of Sinestro.

"When the Lor-Zod, the son of General Zod, was cast off his adopted homeworld of New Kandor, he runs afoul of a kid on a mission, the son of Sinestro! Nemesis Swap

As the Nemesis of the Heroes talked, they chose to swap for a week. They would attack the hero of the lottery. The Joker, Luthor, Cheetah, Reverse Flash, Vlad Plasmius, Black Manta, and Sinestro So Joker left to hunt; same with the rest. 

Vlad at least warned the other Villian, while Phantom is a child. He would attack ferals, and if they were not careful, they would lose a body part. He doesn't get that normal people break like sticks. So while Vlad was fighting against Green Lantern, Joker against Green Arrow,  Cheetah against Superman Lex Luthor vs. Aquaman Black Manta vs. Batman and Reverse Flash against Wonder Woman + Sinestro was actually doing pretty well with Plasmius enemy; he was confused about who he was, and as he learned, he was an alien.  The boy didn't even try to fight him and only wanted to hear his stories and similar ones.

Danny learned from the Ghost Writer that other worlds exist, even his favorite world. The Justice League!

However, Ghost Writer has always been hesitant to use his portals to explore other realms. This is due to the immense power and danger lurking on the other side.

Danny's curiosity gets the better of him, and he can't resist using Ghost Writer's portals to go into the DC universe.

Danny was here to have fun, so he decides to dress up as various DC villains, but with his young age, it has an adorable twist: he appears as a tiny child version of them.

To his surprise, Danny realizes that these costumes give him access to the powers of the villains. He seemed to mimic them, like he did in a few of his fights against his enemies attacks.

Like Ghostly wails with Dan or Cloning with Vlad.

And just seeing this would be much more fun! He started his playful journey to meet iconic heroes and villains.

The first one Danny met was the Flash family while dressed as Reverse Flash. He stumbles upon a face-off between Flash, Kid Flash, and the real Reverse Flash. With his childlike innocence, Danny manages to confuse all three speedsters, much to Kid Flash's chagrin. Danny began to tease Kid Flash about a prank he played on him. "It was me, Wally; I shoved the coffee table ever so slightly so that you would stub your toe right before you were sent off to school." "It was me who made your mother and father see your adult magazine!" Thawne laughed as he heard what the boy did. Leaving after Eobard was defeated, leaving very confused Speedsters behind.

Next, Danny decides to become Ares, the God of War. This leads to a comical confrontation with Wonder Woman. Ares is perplexed by how this young boy possesses his godly powers, and Diana is equally confused by the mysterious demigod child.

The one he had most fun was the Ra's al Ghul cosplay, complete with a sword. Danny found himself entangled in a battle between the League of Assassins and Green Arrow with his sidekick Speedy. Ra's was puzzled by this unexpected child version of himself, and Green Arrow can't help but be amused and confused by the whole situation. After the battle, Danny poured the ectoplasm from his bottle on the ground and jumped into it. Which made it look like Green Arrow and Ra's that Danny just jumped into Lazarus water and was swallowed by it.

Sinestro and Hal Jordan were bewildered by the appearance of a child wearing a Yellow Lantern ring. The notion of such a young Yellow Lantern throws them off balance during their battle. Sinestro and Hal Jordan are utterly baffled as to why a child could even wield the power of fear.

Dressed up as the Ocean Master, Danny intervenes in a conflict between Aquaman and Aqualad against the vengeful Ocean Master. Initially mistaking him for Orm's son, Arthur planned to talk with the boy, only for him to leave after the fight.

When Danny dons the Lex Luthor Warsuit, he finds himself in a confrontation with Superman, catching the attention of Lex Luthor. Lex is intrigued by the young boy's capabilities and is somehow proud of him, even though they aren't fighting on the same side. If Lex sees potential in him and contemplates offering some guidance, the boy would go far. The Suit was like his own.

At Last, The Mr. Freeze Costume, Danny intervenes in a showdown between Batman, Robin, and Mr. Freeze in Gotham City. The Caped Crusader is intrigued by this young "villain" and contemplates whether the boy can be taught to use his abilities responsibly. As Danny was just talking about Dr. Victor Fries inventions and theories, Victor saw that the boy had good ideas and theories.

Danny had his fun, and he tried to return home, only for the portal not to work.

He used it many times and had to wait a short time. Well, what are a few days here?

(For the record, ghosts from the infinite realms are basically walking talking lantern rings since they seem to Do all the things lantern rings do- LOL pariah darks ring of rage seems familiar!)

Danny would be pretty much unstoppable with a lantern ring regardless of colour, but combine both Danny's protection obsession and that ghosts are basically beings of emotion...

You would have to worry about danny overloading his ring or overcharging any green lantern rings when he got near! (Even amplified they do have limits)

(Clockwork has a strict habit of redirecting any lantern rings that try to sneak in through natural portals, damned if he's gonna put up with those guys again! - once was enough after pariah and his shiny ring of rage!)

Danny had the courage to face the ghost king using an untested powersuit prototype, an evil future version of himself while on his last legs, even save his reality while being publically hunted by his countries government! Definitely green lantern material

(You can't tell me dani wouldn't also try to become a green lantern-to which she would probably nick a second ring (blue- it chose her, shh) to dual wield.

But honestly, jazz, tucker and sam would fit blue lantern rings quite well, they have immense hope and faith in Danny, and are willing to go to bat when Danny can't handle the fight, even if it endangers them.

Jazz could also count as an indigo corp due to her compassion and care for Danny through their childhood. (Although the star sapphire corp comes close second... I can't help but think of jazz hunting jason down in anger management fics! 🤣)

Vlad on the other hand... the guys either gonna end up in the orange corp shackled to larfleeze or try to join the sinestro corp (but let's be honest vlads not really interested in fear, just power!) Maybe if he causes enough damage the indigo tribe would induct him (forcefully!).

Bonus:

The lantern corp's are on the watchtower observation deck about to induct a new lantern... the ring shot off away from the gathered prospective candidates and they heard a scream as danny is brained in the head at high speed with the ring like it was channeling the boo'merang!

Bonus: bonus:

Danny mocking an escaped Dan who's Thermos got knocked open by a sinestro ring falling into the infinite realms: oh, by the ancients Dan, yellow really doesn't suit your colour scheme, it makes me want to gag!

Dan: "RAHH! DIE ALREADY!"

Danny eventually beating him and smashing the ring: "ugh, this thing is similar but less effective then frighty's sword... or maybe that was just Dan, oh well!"

I was looking at the different lantern corps and I thought, what if Danny was chosen to be a blue lantern? I think it suits him considering their oath "In fearful day, in raging night, With strong hearts full, our souls ignite. When all seems lost in the War of Light, Look to the stars, for hope burns bright!"

Besides that he would love to have gained these powers for never giving up even in the darkest of times and not just for having an accident

I think danny would love being a lantern

I dont know much about green lantern and have no idea what a blue lantern is but either way danny would love to be a lantern

He would would be that one person that goofs around but somehow is still there

I think if in a fight someone finally manager to piss him off he'll show them thats he's not a human

Also danny would loose his damn mind working with alians amd traveling through stars

I don't know anything about blue lanterns though

DC villains Christopher Lee couldve played

SoI was watching the documentary Necessary Evil the other day ,a documentary on DC villains narrated by Christopher Lee

Now Christopher Lee was a phenomenal actor .....Who nearly played multiple DC villains

He nearly was the Kryptonian criminal General Zod in Superman The Movie and Superman II.....But he couldnt film in England at the time,so they got Terrance Stamp instead

He was considered for the Penguin in Batman Returns....But they went with Danny Devito instead

And he was almost Ra's Al Ghul in Batman The Animated Series...But it wouldve been to expensive ,so they got David Warner

Now while I think he would've been an odd pick for Penguin(I still wouldve wanted to see it ) ,Lee would've been perfect for both Zod and Ra's (Though I think Stamp and Warner are equally perfect )
