I think if you put Piranesi into Area X he would wander off in a joyful daze of natural beauty and happily become an entire flock of birds in less than 24 hours, but if you put the Biologist into the House she would immediately start having the worst time humanly possible. Yes they are both scientists, yes they both have their names stolen from them, but in the end the Biologist simply does not have the connection to + awareness of herself/her place in the story to survive in the House without losing her mind; while Piranesi spends his entire book overjoyed to be the House’s blessed child, the Biologist spends her entire book doing her damndest to tell her own story without having to be in it
