Danny was doing homework when Fright knight came to him.

FK: I would like your permission to go out on a Quest.

DP: Why are you asking me?

FK: You are the Guardian of the portal, a keeper of balance, and may be the next ghost king. So i ask your leave.

DP: What is this quest?

FK: It has come to my attention that there is a energy entity out in the stars who claims to be the emotional embodiment of fear and is powering this "Sinestro Corps" to do heinious deeds in the name of fear and terror. I seek to eliminate this corps and give this "Parallax" a beating and a lesson in true fear.

DP: Parallax sounds like a pharmaceutical drug or a laxative.

FK: Fear work well as a laxative. Your friend Tucker knows this very well.

DP: I thought you were the embodiment of fear?

FK: I AM.

DP: OK permission uh granted i guess.

Fright Knight bows then turns to go but is interrupted.

DP: oh and Fright knight?

FK: Hmm?

DP: win.

FK: of course.

I think DC should do more with the concept of the yellow rings. I want them to be the complete opposite of willpower.

A green lantern ring chooses you, what if a yellow lantern ring haunted you?

There's no flashy lights. No "you've been chosen." You just find a ring on your finger one day. That unsettles you, so you take it off. Maybe you keep it, maybe you throw it away.

Either way, it's resting on your pillow as you wake up. This time, you really do throw it away.

It's too late, though. You start hearing whispers that aren't there. You become more hostile to your friends and family because you are so paranoid. They're hiding something from you. They never actually loved you. Those little fears and insecurities everyone has build up into a chorus screaming at you. You are alone.

You find the ring on your finger again one day. You don't take it off. It speaks to you, tells you that it can weaponize those voices and use it on those that hurt you. You accept, because you're too far gone to realize no one has actually betrayed you. The possession is complete. Sinestro welcomes you home.

Fear vs Fear 2

The Green lanterns have been busy. They've been follow this path of seemingly one sided beatdowns of Yellow lanterns and liberated planets. They believe they've finally caught up.

Fright Knight stands on a freshly liberated planet with a pile of yellow lantern rings. If he melt down these rings he could forge something great for his young prince. The question is what? The only weapons his liege has wielded are a scythe and a longsword. Both fearsome weapons.

Maybe some armor? The prince doesent have armor. Does he have enough rings for a full set? could he make it black? yellow is not the colors of the prince. The prince wears white and black. Maybe a helm?

He is drawn from his pondering as he see's green light in the night sky. More distractions. This would be the green lantern corps then. Blue, Pink, and Indigo have all met with him and begged him to stop. The Yellow lanterns are needed in the Emotional Spectrum for the prophecy of Blackest Night. He hardly cares but his prince will likely be pulled into the battle in defence of the portal. So he will not kill all the yellow lanterns and Parallax will be spared his wrath. Let him see what these Green Lanterns have to say.

Fright Knight treaty's with the Green Lanterns and is convinced to release some of the rings, but not before he forges a warscythe and a helmet to give the prince. The warscythe is named "The Golden Harvester of terror" and the helm is named "Aegishjalmr".

Danny has no idea what to do with them. He has no idea he will need them on The Blackest Night.

My 4 Lantern Ring Amalgamation Combos

Ok. Here I’ll be going over my 4 Lantern Ring amalgamations. It occurred to me that since the 7 Lantern Rings that are powered by emotions can combine to make the White Lantern Ring which is powered by life, then 2 Lantern Rings can combine to make a new Lantern Ring that is powered by another emotion. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.

First off, there’s my amalgamation between the Yellow Lantern Ring of Rage and the Orange Lantern Ring of Greed. I think that the Lantern Ring that those 2 would make when combined together would be powered by Jealousy. After all, jealousy is about being angry at someone for being better than you and it’s also about desperately wanting to get the better of them. Being angry at someone is what rage is all about and wanting something is what greed is all about. Also, I think that if the powers of the Red Lantern Ring and the Orange Lantern Ring are combined, they would make a power that siphons the energy of someone and then transfers that energy to someone else. The Red Lantern Ring’s power is to unleash an acid-like liquid on an opponent that would melt and by extension kill them. This would also technically rob them of the energy they have that allows them to live hence the Lantern Ring amalgamation’s power siphoning someone’s energy and thus taking it away from them. And the Orange Lantern Ring’s power to replicate someone’s identity and use it as an Orange Lantern construct would be harnessing someone’s energy hence the Lantern Ring amalgamation’s power allowing someone else to harness someone’s energy.

Next, there’s my amalgamation between the Blue Lantern Ring of Hope and the Orange Lantern Ring of Greed. I think that the Lantern Ring that those 2 would make when combined together would be powered by Pride. Pride is about focusing on a certain something of yours above all else just like greed and it’s also about having faith in that something just like hope. Also, I think that if the powers of the Blue Lantern Ring and the Orange Lantern Ring were to be combined, they would make a power that would increase someone else’s power. The Blue Lantern Ring’s power is to heal people and by extension rejuvenate their energy and the Orange Lantern Ring’s power is to replicate someone’s identity and use it as an Orange Lantern construct. That means that the replicated energy of that someone is modified and thus turned into an Orange Lantern construct. Since rejuvenating energy is about restoring energy and modifying energy is about altering it, the aspect of the Blue Lantern Ring’s power that rejuvenates someone’s energy and the aspect of the Orange Lantern Ring’s power that modifies someone’s energy could merge to make a power that amplifies the power of someone else.

Now, there’s my amalgamation between the Yellow Lantern Ring of Fear and the Indigo Lantern Ring of Compassion. I think that the Lantern Ring that those 2 would make would be a Lantern Ring that is powered by Depression. After all, feeling depressed is about yourself is about feeling sorry for yourself and seeing the worst in yourself. Feeling sorry for someone is feeling sadness about their well-being which is technically one thing that compassion is about and seeing the worst in something is focusing on the bad part of something which is technically one thing that fear is about. Also, I think that if the powers of the Yellow Lantern Ring and the Indigo Lantern Ring were to be combined, they would make a power that could destroy anything at an atomic level. The Indigo Lantern Ring’s power is to teleport and thus make something disappear from Point A and reappear at Point B and the Yellow Lantern Ring’s power is to create a construct of that which a person is most afraid of and thus weaken that person’s resolve. And since resolve is about staying on a course, the Yellow Lantern Ring’s power, when combined with the Indigo Lantern Ring’s power of teleportation, could stop the teleported object from going through its course from Point A to Point B. That means that the teleported object disappeared without reappearing. And since this is in the context of teleportation, it might as well be destroyed. Also, teleportation does involve teleporting an object at an atomic level. So, the powers of the Indigo Lantern Ring’s power to teleport and the Yellow Lantern Ring’s power to essentially weaken resolve could combine to make a power that destroys anything at an atomic level.

Finally, there’s my amalgamation between the Blue Lantern Ring of Hope and the Indigo Lantern Ring of Compassion. I think that the Lantern Ring that those 2 would make when combined would be a Lantern Ring that is powered by Forgiveness. After all, forgiveness is about having faith in someone despite what they’ve done just like hope and it’s also about empathizing with that someone just like compassion. Also, I think that if the powers of the Blue Lantern Ring and the Indigo Lantern Ring were to be combined, they would make a power that could restore things even from total annihilation. The Indigo Lantern Ring’s power is to teleport and during the teleportation process, the teleported object disappears from one place but has yet to appear in another and is thus technically nowhere. And being nowhere is technically one of the things that complete nothingness is about and complete nothingness is technically one of the things that total annihilation is about. And the Blue Lantern Ring’s power is to heal someone and thus restore them back to optimal condition. So, the Indigo Lantern Ring’s power of teleportation and the Blue Lantern Ring’s power to heal could combine to make a power that could restore something even from total annihilation.

Drabble: Fear The Almighty Bird Tube

"Hooty, you're a Yellow Lantern now?" Colli asked wide eyed. The celestial boy with otherworldly fluffy lavender hair and a heart of gold was beyond confused as he noticed the ring on Hooty's beak. "Yep! People say I'm terrifying, so I will use this power to protect you, Colli!"

The bird tube loved and cared a lot about Colli, and if someone should have the dumb idea to hurt the sweethearted starboy, Hooty wouldn't hesitate to inflict fear upon those who wish to harm Colli! "FEAR THE ALMIGHTY BIRD TUBE!" Hooty yelled.
