I’d like to request some sports jerseys with simlish decals. If that’s not possible, I’ll accept simlish t-shirts instead.
Thanks so much for sending through your request! And it was a timely one too considering that the Olympics are currently on the go. I've rounded up a bunch of different sports jerseys - soccer, baseball, hockey, football. I hope you enjoy using them in your game! CC links under the cut.

BODY SEARCH MASTERLIST
Kim Sunoo. Nishimura Riki. Park Jongseong. Uchinaga Aeri. Lee Heesung. Sim Jaeyun. Ning Yizhuo. Y/N Y/L/N. Park Sunghoon. Yang Jungwon. 10 teenagers. 10 minutes past midnight. 10 minutes since they’d found themselves mysteriously at the chapel of their school - none of them having memories of how they could have reached there. No, the only memory they had was of a set of jarring texts from an unknown number requesting that they find her. Who the ‘her’ in question was, was not revealed at all.
“Guys, seriously, this is creeping me the hell out. Where are you guys going?” Giselle voiced her frustrations. Seriously, who the hell splits up like this? Haven’t they watched horror movies? “What’s your favorite scary movie?”, the teasing voice of Lee Heesung whispered into the shell of her ear, not only making goosebumps appear near her skin, but lurching her into a scare. Smacking him with a pout on her face, while the boy just laughed while clutching her hand, the couple that had been dating since the beginning of freshman year just walked behind trusted Park Jongseong, who was also trailed by Y/N and NingNing. NingNing’s nervous eyes kept flitting between Jay and the gloomy darkness around her, a contrast from her confident and approachable appearance at school. During the day, atleast. Who knew what night, this night, in particular could bring?
“Sunghoon’s wandered off”, Jake mentioned. There was an edge in his voice as he said it, and it even made Jay’s eyes harden under the milky light of the moon. “We’ll find him guys. Let’s figure out what’s happening first maybe?”, NingNing chimed in. Biting her nails, she added, “Even the two underclassmen have wandered off somewhere, and so has Yang.” We’ll get them soon.
“Look, there’s Sunghoon!”, Y/N said, her voice almost lost like a wisp in the wind. Luckily, Jay and Jake caught on to it, and turned their heads to where Sunghoon stood, in the middle of the soccer field. Motionless, yet slightly trembling. They jogged up to him, the boys yelling out his name. “Sunghoon, Park Sunghoon! Come here!”
Sunghoon turned around to the sound of their clamoring voice, pale skin having dewy drops of sweat beading his forehead. But perhaps, what was most characteristic about him, was the expanding patch of red on his crisp white school uniform.
He opened his mouth slightly, yet no sound escaped him. He slumped forward while they looked at the garish scene before them. Because it was only the top half of Sunghoon’s body that had slumped forward, jaggedly dismembered torso falling forward onto the blackish grass.
“What the fuck?!”. “Fuck!”. A scream. And just a gaping jaw. Those were all the reactions the 4 could muster up. With legs propelling them forward at insane speed, Jay and Jake ran to where their deceased friend lay, halting harshly when they saw that Sunghoon’s body wasn’t the only entity on that field.
“Who is that?”. It was Heesung who asked this time. He and Giselle ran over as soon as they’d heard the screams and shouts, and even Sunoo and Riki and Jungwon were running over to them.
It was obvious who Heesung was referring to, but no way to answer. She looked about 9 years of age. A small silhouette of a girl. There were no discernible features on her face, and all they could make out was a mop of unkempt black hair, greasy and dragging till her ankles.
None of them wanted to stick around for answers. Not when the little girl took a step forward, barefoot and crunching against the ground. That’s when they felt it, the extreme and spine-chilling bolt of terror. Each of them took off almost immediately, running into the school building, ready to hide in there then have to cross the girl who, despite her size, acted almost like a barricade against the school gate.
Park Sunghoon was dead. Park Sunghoon was dead and she was probably next. That’s all Y/N could think of as she ran into the school, breathing heavily, trying her best to enter the art classroom, the room she was most familiar with. What Jungwon said while they were running is what plagues her mind.
“It’s happening. It’s the Body Search.”
What the hell even was a Body Search? And frankly she wasn’t planning to stick around here long enough to find out. If it was anything that required what just happened, she’d rather not know. There was a dead silence around the room where she crouched, keeping an eye out by the door. That’s when she heard it.
Pit. Pat. The sound of two little feet approaching the room she hid in. Pit. Pat.
Pit.Pat.Pit.Pat.Pit.Pat. The feet were running. Running to where she was, ready to tear her apart.
Her mouth opened, ready to scream, until a veiny, large hand covered her mouth. Wide eyed, she turned to where the hand emerged from. Jay. Crouched under the desk right next to her, he raised a slender finger up to his lips, to signal what she had to do. To be absolutely quiet. To survive. To think. Slowly nodding her head down, she turned back to where the door. In another time, in another situation, she would have blushed hard at what had just happened. But a near-death experience leaves very little room for crushes.
The feet seemed to be distancing from them, making both Jay and Y/N feel a sense of relief. A relief, that was short lived. Not with Jake’s and Giselle’s simultaneous screams piercing the air. Abruptly getting up from their positions, survival be damned, the two made way down to the hallway where She saw a frozen Giselle, a Jake bleeding out at the landing of the staircase, neck bent at an angle and eyes slack. And Lee Heesung. A Lee Heesung who seemed almost suspended midair, until their eyes traveled down to where the jagged end of the wooden frame of a classroom door seemed to have been struck right through the middle of his chest, blood unceremoniously pooling down to the floor just below him. It’s when her eyes shifted to where Giselle was that Y/N let the scream bubbling inside her go.
Because, standing with Giselle was a little girl, barely 9 or 10 years old. Matted black hair that reached her ankles, and a body covered in blood. A hand outstretched, that seemed to have passed right into Giselle’s mouth, and emerging from the back of her head - little fingers wiggling in her joy. It seemed that Y/N’s scream delighted her even more, because she gave a Cheshire-like grin on hearing it - pale, crooked teeth forming the most terrifying smile they’d ever seen. Grabbing Y/N’s hand and leaving no second to spare, Jay took off in the opposite direction. He wasn’t going to wait around to see what was to happen to them - in what creative ways this little demented creature could murder them in cold blood. His plan was to reach the chapel where it all began.
Yang Jungwon was dead. Yang Jungwon was dead, and so were Jake, Giselle, Heesung and Sunghoon. NingNing and the juniors were missing. It was only him and Y/N he cared about right now.
Sunoo’s panting hard, and his lungs prickle with the burn of exhaustion, as the adrenaline gives away. He’s running and he’s been running for a while now. He lost their senior NingNing a while back - the red smears at the bottom of the staircase led him to believe so. The low visibility isn’t really helping either. He can’t tell where the little girl is either, or where Riki or Jungwon disappeared off to. Run. Running. That’s all he can think of right now.
He reached the shoe rack, the little white cubicles creating a mosaic in front of him. The burn in his lungs has only intensified. “This is a good place to hide”, he thought to himself.
“Hyung!”
Sunoo jumps violently, organs violently lurching inside him. Still no sound of small feet, only Riki, glad to have found his friend in one piece still. Riki quickly sprints to where Sunoo has crouched, a little wooden cubby meant for storing the smaller sports equipment. Riki’s hands are desperate as they grab on to Sunoo - being alive meant something much more important right now. Riki was scared. The tsundere Riki, their class mood maker, a happy go lucky kid was scared right now, and a sense of despair and hopelessness hit Sunoo right in the heart.
But despair, or any emotion was cut short.
Pit, pat. Little red feet. Run. Hide.
Their eyes grow wide simultaneously. Pulling Riki closer by the arm, Sunoo prays with whatever finality he can muster. She must be getting closer, and it’s all he can do right now. Because no matter where they hid, she’d find them. Sniffing out their fear maybe - the thundering hearts and the tremors that shook in their bones.
It’s dead quiet now, and it makes Sunoo’s ears ring slightly. Everything held a bit of horror in it, including the quiet.
“Where did she go?” Sunoo barely mustered up a whisper.
“Do you think she left?”, answered Riki, in an equally low baritone sound, hoping for it to get concealed with the wind, lest they get discovered.
“We should head to the chapel-”
There’s a crash. That’s all that Sunoo registers. The speed and the totality of it was far too much for him to realize the rest. All he knows right now is that she’s here, there was a sound, and the space where Riki was is empty now.
There’s something dripping on his head. Where’s Riki? Where’s the Little Red Girl? Where’s Riki? Where’s the Little Red Girl?
He looks up to the source of the mysterious liquid dripping onto his head - only to lock eyes with Riki’s lifeless ones.
“Fuck, what the hell is that?”. Jay’s frustrated and scared. So fucking scared. His best friends are dead. “Do you think we might find answers in the chapel?”, the quiet voice of Y/N Y/L/N cut through in the frenzy in his mind. His childhood friend, whom he’d grown estranged from, had no idea what she was like now. But he knew who she was before - a daisy in a lawn. A force of nature that made the shy, new kid in the neighborhood Jay feel more welcome than he ever did when he moved to Korea from the States. She inspired him, in a way, to be the Jay of today. And she didn’t know that at all. Realising his silence, he cleared his throat and answered - “Well I hope. This is all madness.”
The medbay was silent as they sat there, trying to catch their breaths. The adrenaline was starting to wear off, and the exhaustion was catching on, considering their sweaty bodies and their panting breaths.
“She’s here.”
Y/N says it with grim finality, while Jay still cranes his head to hear where the little girl could be? “How do you know?”, Jay turns to look at the teary-eyed Y/N. Sobs are sputtering out of her mouth now, faster as tears stream down her face. Alarmed by this new development in her emotion, he opens his mouth but Y/N cuts him right off. “Jay, I’m sorry. She’s behind you.”
The alarm is harsh in its morning call. It’s blaring and blaring, and bleary eyed Y/N wakes up drenched in cold sweat. This isn’t right.
“Your dad already left, so I’m planning to drop his lunch off at his office later. I made fried tempura prawns today, way too many I think. Share them with your friends, alright?
This isn't right. This isn't adding up. There’s something wrong. She saw all this happen, in a dream? No. That can’t be. Something’s wrong.
The bus pulls back and the cat yowls, and then students gather near its dead body. It’s wrong already, but she knows something is off when she makes eye contact with a certain Park Jay, who’s eyes mirror the same discomfort on her face.
“What do you know then, Jungwon?”
They’re all huddled by the stairwell - All 10, seemingly alive considering the gruesome ways they all died last night. It was Jungwon asking the question, flanked by Giselle and NingNing on the other side. Jungwon is nervous too - glasses slipping on the bridge of his nose and wringing his hands around. Even the juniors joined them - staring hard.
“Well. I’m not sure about this alright? But I’ve read some books about occult practices and hauntings before. Based on our situation, well.”
“Fucking spit it out.” Park Sunghoon harshly said, his body while seeming nonchalant against the railings, seemed to be shaking in some sort of feeling - fear, but also anger. Maybe the absolute bone-chilling realization that you’re repeating the same day.
“I think we’re participating in the Body Search!”. The words tumble out of Jungwon’s mouth in a nervous ball left for the rest to untangle.

Nelson Scores Championship Clincher
AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Bearden 0 Ravenwood 0 Overtime (5-3)
Friday, May 24 1:30 CT
MURFREESBORO--Junior goalkeeper Logan Nelson had a block and a goal in the penalty kick shootout Friday to go with his 100 minutes of scintillating keeper play to lead Bearden over Ravenwood 0-0 (5-3) and win the school’s sixth AAA State Championship at Richard Siegel Soccer Stadium.
The shootout was necessitated after the two powerhouse teams played to an intense 0-0 deadlock following eighty minutes and two ten-minute overtime periods. The Bearden forwards kept countering the dangerous Raptor offense behind Jack Raulston’s determined, powerful shots and Dillon Sims’ skillful advances into the corners.
Noah Price once again provided spark in the midfield, as did Wylder Lee up top, not to mention the ice water in their veins as the two unlikely P.K. shooters coolly stepped up and buried their shots in round three and four of the shootout to set up Nelson’s heroics.
The Bulldog ‘bend but don’t break’ backline stepped up big time. Shawn Spencer was a beast on the outside, and Nic Prins flashed his speed running down the Ravenwood forwards. Shepard McMurray continued his strong inside play, and Cole Stopka always seemed to be in the right spot with his volley clears and headers.
Starters Aidan Ainsworth, Lucas Ford, Ahmed Dkhiri, and Preston Ford were integral in the winning effort, and Jack Tirgrath, Omar Hewezi, and Omar Ardahji provided much-needed relief throughout the hard-fought contest.
But the day belonged to the game MVP Nelson, and the Hollywood ending. Just before the shootout, Coach Ryan Radcliffe told his All-State keeper, “You got us here to the P.K.’s, now go win it for us!”
Said Nelson, “As soon as I got the block, I knew I had to put my shot in the back of the net! This is the best graduation present you could have for these seniors, who deserve it so much!”
Goals: none.
P.K. Shootout:
Bearden 11111 = 5
Ravenwood 1110x = 3
JACK RAULSTON (made), DILLON SIMS (made), NOAH PRICE (made), WYLDER LEE (made), LOGAN NELSON (made) - Bearden wins shootout 5-3.
Shots/Shots-on-goal: BHS 16/6 RHS 18/10.Corners: BHS 6 RHS 6. Fouls: BHS 7 RHS 14. Offsides: BHS 1 RHS 0. Conditions: grass soccer pitch, cloudy, 72 degrees. Records: BHS 21-3-1 RHS 18-4-2.
Outside the box.........Nelson executed a perfect cartwheel and backflip to celebrate his clinching P.K. goal.........Don’t burn those white jerseys! Bearden won their last four games on their way to the State title wearing those white uniforms with the impossible-to-read numerals.........Woof!

Glitches, Winterfest, and first kisses!
images described below cut:
[id: 5 Sims 4 screenshots. In the first one Carole sits at an outdoor picnic table with her laptop computer in front of her. She’s holding a raised fork and has a thought bubble about food. A plate of food sits several feet to the left of the computer. The second shot is the same scene taken from above to show that, indeed, Carole is about to try to eat her keyboard with a fork.
The next two shots are at the Kibo sisters’ house. First they stand together in the kitchen, Judith on the left and Carole on the right. Judith, who’s wearing her soccer uniform, is handing a festively wrapped box to Carole. Behind them some holiday cards stand displayed on the dining table.
Next, Judith stands with Father Winter and Terri beside the front door. Father Winter is handing a present box to Judith, who’s smiling and gesturing ‘what, for me??’
In the last screenshot Judith kisses her romantic interest Gerard. The two are standing by the Brindleton Bay dock in the snow. Behind them, strings of lights are strung between posts and seagulls are chilling on the ground.]

Day 4
Day 4 Mwaluvanga 16/04 Sim, Andrea, Jarrad, Mel, Mia, Jude
Again woke up in the morning with the sounds of the stomach going a little crazy, even thought we have been fed very well, rice, potato, pancakes, carb loading with every meal, but this morning was a nice treat, we had donuts but in the shape of a triangle, someone had Jam, smother the inside of that with jam….Jam Donuts!! For breakfast!! Ha ha, was greaaaat!
There is Aust time, then there is Kenyan time, if they say 15 minutes, it is more than hour & half, if they say it is only 15kms up the road, it is at least a minimum 20kms up the road, a team was told the ecclesia was only 400 meters up the road, the team walked minimum 3kms!
We then jumped into a car and took off to the school (Good Samaritan) we visited yesterday, this time we were greeted by the whole school, approx. 40 kids, singing ‘we welcome you, thank you for coming’, the music was just magical, this school was on holidays, the kids all got into your uniforms & came in for photo day, today we photographed the kids, all in their classes, all reciting or acting for us, acting their usual day in the class, this was gorgeous, the singing, the recital, the dancing at the end was a true Kenyan experience, the kids kicked a soccer ball around the field, while the last of the photos were taken, the children then sent us on our way with a beautiful song & dance number, came back to the children’s school, where we covered the photos of the kids that came in for the day to have their photo taken with the kids having their photo taken, the kids waiting were to write their letters to their sponsors, I spoke to a young man
He said he was Kenyan by accident, his dad & mum escaped the war over the border, he was born in Kenya, his mother died & his father had to keep running & he believed that he has died, he is one of the orphans in this house that they look after.
We then headed into the opposite direction for the day at Mwaluvanga ecclesia, this was a small ecclesia, filled with 20 or so bro & sisters, there was approx. 30 children, the photos were done of all the sponsor kids, there was a talk done by myself, this was on the vineyard again, a quick question from Bro La, which was answered by Jarrad
Banana seed/plants were handed to over a dozen of the families in this ecclesia, they then would plant, look after & cultivate this plant to gain the fruit from it in a couple of years’ time.
Lunch was served, rice, lamb & tomato liquid drizzled over the top of it, was very tasty, but was very filling, went to munch down on what I was told was guava, it was in fact a lime, the first bite turned my face inside out, Mia enjoyed the entertainment provided by my expense, was given a freshly chopped coconut, drank the fresh cool milk.
Drove back to the school, went up to visit the children in the home, came back, went to talk to the ladies & Andrew & Simon, Jarrad was asking each person a favourite verse in the bible, they were loving us spending time with them, listening, explaining & just spending time with these gentle souls, made our way back for dinner, enjoyed rice, potato rice combo. Ventured to the kids home for the afternoon meditation from Diane on the the Lord and his ability to heal others that asked to be healed, he said ‘what do you want from me?’, sang a couple of songs/hymns, came back to the room, sat outside with the others, listening to the sounds of the night, time for bed
Another night down…goodnight

We Put Bryce Harper And Manny Machado On A Bunch Of Different Teams
We are now less than a week away from almost all pitchers and catchers reporting, and the two biggest free agents on the market — Manny Machado and Bryce Harper — have yet to sign. The rumor mill around them continues to swirl, but we’re tired of not knowing for sure where these two will play this year. So we thought we’d take matters into our own hands, instead of simply waiting around for the latest hot-stove updates.
To that end, we called on our friends at Out of the Park Baseball (OOTP), a strategic simulation game that allows players to put on their general manager hats and run their own teams. We asked them to simulate out the careers of Harper and Machado a bunch of times under scenarios where they sign with a bunch of different teams. Think of it as the multiverse of MLB possibilities that still could play out, depending on where these two superstars end up signing.
It’s important to note that this is all guided by the game’s artificial intelligence, so it’s based on a simulation engine primarily intended for fun gameplay.1 Having said all that, in the true spirit of J. Henry Waugh’s Universal Baseball Association, what if …
… Machado signs with the White Sox?
Frequency: 80 percent of simulations2 Average contract: Eight years for $198 million Six-year team wins: 78.7 per season Six-year WAR: 6.0 per season Best playoff result: Loses divisional series in 2021
Machado is one of the brightest stars in the OOTP universe, with an overall rating of 77 out of 80 (using the traditional 20-80 scouting scale). If he were to sign with the White Sox, one of his most frequently rumored suitors in real life, OOTP sees him having a tremendous individual debut in Chicago, putting together an All-Star season worth 6.5 wins above replacement. But the White Sox would have to wait until 2020 to improve as a team, leaping from 63 wins in 2019 to 92 in 2020, with Machado once again having a strong 5.8-WAR season. Chicago would average 92 wins per season in 2020 and ’21, making the playoffs both years, but they would top out with a tough five-game loss in the American League Division Series in 2021, then drop down to 80 wins in 2022 as Machado’s teammates regress.
He would average 5.7 WAR per season over the next two years, but the Sox would miss the playoffs both seasons, with Machado opting out of his contract to join the New York Mets on a five-year, $197.5 million deal before the 2025 season. (Chicago would be fine without him, making the American League Championship Series in 2025 and 2026.) In New York, Machado’s individual numbers would decline to an average of 4.1 WAR per season, but he would help the 2028 Mets reach the World Series — where, in classic Mets fashion, they would lose to the Astros in seven games. After bouncing to the Nationals and Rockies in the early 2030s, Machado would retire in October 2032 with a JAWS score of 63.4, which should easily earn him a place in the Hall of Fame.
… Machado signs with the Padres?
Frequency: 20 percent of simulations Average contract: Eight years for $212 million Six-year team wins: 83.3 per season Six-year WAR: 5.0 per season Best playoff result: Loses league championship series in 2024
If Machado were to sign with San Diego, OOTP’s AI thinks that he would make about $14 million more over an eight-year contract than he would with the White Sox. But how would his Padres do on the field? In this universe, Machado would have an incredible initial campaign in Southern California, putting up 7.5 WAR and winning the National League’s MVP in 2019. His team, though, would only improve from 66 to 76 wins, good for third place in the NL West, and Machado would later struggle to repeat his amazing debut season. The simulations have him averaging just 4.1 WAR per season in 2020-21, with the Padres winning only 71 games a year. But in 2022, Machado would bounce back with 5.2 WAR, and San Diego would win 95 games, making the divisional series. It’s part of a three-year playoff surge for the Padres, peaking with 100 wins in 2024 — but that team is projected to crash out of the playoffs with a disappointing five-game NLCS loss to the Dodgers.
That offseason, Machado would opt out of his initial contract and sign a five-year, $157.5 million deal with the expansion Memphis Scouts — which are a thing in this universe! — where he would spend the next five seasons playing reasonably well (4.2 WAR per year), but losing so many ballgames would surely give him flashbacks to the horrid 2018 Orioles. The best season of Machado’s final years is forecast to be an out-of-nowhere 4.3-WAR season with the 101-win Cincinnati Reds in 2032, but that team would ultimately lose in the divisional series. In September 2035, Machado would retire from pro baseball as a probable Hall of Famer.
… Machado signs somewhere else?
While OOTP’s AI thinks Chicago and San Diego are the destinations most likely for Machado, it also forced him onto the Phillies, Yankees and Twins for the sake of the full multiverse. The first two outcomes are about a wash individually, with Machado nearing 7 WAR in his best simulated season for each team and producing roughly the same total WAR (33.9 in New York, 32.6 in Philly). He would also stay longer in each city: seven years with the Phillies before opting out to join the Giants and the full eight-year contract span with the Yankees. But in terms of team performance, Machado wouldn’t win a World Series in either Philadelphia or New York, coming closest with a seven-game ALCS loss in 2022 as part of his Yankees timeline. It’s kind of a sad set of outcomes for a pair of teams that you’d think would offer Machado the greatest chance of team success. As for the Twins, they would be very successful with Machado, winning 90.2 games per season in his five years in Minnesota, including a World Series berth in 2021. But he would also opt out of that contract as early as possible, moving on to sign a massive deal with the Giants. Such is the way of Minnesota sports.
Let’s move on to Harper, whose future is more difficult to read than Machado’s. OOTP’s AI predicted that he’d sign with any of four teams — the Giants (64 percent), Cardinals (20 percent), Padres (12 percent) and Dodgers (4 percent) — and that’s not even the full spate of his commonly rumored options. But let’s peer into OOTP’s crystal ball anyway. What if …
… Harper signs with the Giants?
Frequency: 64 percent of simulations Average contract: Seven years for $175 million Six-year team wins: 82.1 per season Six-year WAR: 3.3 per season Best playoff result: No playoffs
The Giants are a weird team that won 73 games last season despite trying to contend, and they do have the need for a corner outfielder like Harper if they want to try it again in 2019. According to OOTP, San Francisco would pay about $15 million to $20 million more over a seven-year deal than Harper’s other potential suitors, and they wouldn’t get much postseason success out of it. They are projected to average 85.5 wins per season over the first four years of Harper’s deal, finishing second in the NL West (and out of the playoffs) each year. They would also get classic inconsistent Bryce: 5.7 WAR in Year 1, followed by 2.2 and 2.9 WAR (both seasons riddled with injuries), then 4.4, and then 0.6 in a terrible 2023 season during which Harper would hit .209, with the Giants crashing to 74 wins.
After six up-and-down seasons by the Bay, Harper would sign a four-year, $116.8 million deal with the Brewers. He is projected for a strong season on a playoff-bound Milwaukee team in 2025 but then just 2.1 WAR per year over the next two seasons before opting out early yet again to join … yes, the Yankees. During his inevitable run in pinstripes, Harper would boast an .821 OPS as his Yanks make (and lose) the ALCS in 2028, but he would put up negative WAR over the next two seasons. He would retire at age 38 after being released by New York (and briefly rejoining the Giants). Harper’s final JAWS score of 49.9 would put him right on the edge of the Hall of Fame relative to other right fielders.
… Harper signs with the Cardinals?
Frequency: 20 percent of simulations Average contract: Seven years for $151 million Six-year team wins: 87.2 per season Six-year WAR: 4.9 per season Best playoff result: Loses World Series in 2027 and 2030
This is one of the most successful universes either star free agent had in our OOTP simulations. In this world, the Cardinals would grab Harper for the bargain-bin price of $151 million, and he would stay with them for a total of 12 seasons thanks to another midcareer contract extension. St. Louis would be mostly competitive throughout Harper’s dozen seasons there, averaging 87 wins per year and making the playoffs nine times, including two pennant-winning runs. Harper is projected for 53.4 total WAR in a Cardinals uniform (which would actually rank him just below Ozzie Smith for fifth on the franchise’s all-time leaderboard), winning the 2023 NL MVP with a 1.033 OPS and 7.4 WAR. In Harper’s final season as a Cardinal at age 37, OOTP sees St. Louis losing the 2030 World Series to (Machado’s?) White Sox in a heartbreaking seventh game.
After leaving St. Louis, Harper would sign a three-year, $62 million deal with the Mets, but a fractured knee would cost him 88 games in his first New York season, and he wouldn’t be the same player afterward, averaging just 1.1 WAR/year in 2032-33. Following an ineffective 51-game stint with the Giants in 2034, Harper would retire as a surefire Hall of Famer with a JAWS score of 69.2.
… Harper signs somewhere else?
Harper has been linked to so many teams, it’s tough to keep track sometimes. So we asked OOTP to look at the other teams its own AI saw Harper signing with (the Padres and Dodgers), plus the Phillies, White Sox and Harper’s erstwhile team, the Nationals. Of those, the Dodgers easily offer the greatest amount of team glory — in fact, they would basically become a dynasty with Bryce on board, winning the 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024 World Series and losing it in 2025 (as Harper would put up 44.3 WAR during seven seasons in L.A.).3 Individually, Harper would finish with 98.3 WAR in that universe, edging out his 93.2 WAR in the Cardinals simulation for the best of the options we looked at. The rest offer varying degrees of lesser success from both a team and personal perspective, with the Phillies, Nats and Padres projected to make the playoffs a few times on Harper’s first contract (he would re-up with the Padres and Nationals for the long-term in those simulations) and Harper accumulating just shy of 80 career WAR in each universe.
So where should each star sign? If these OOTP simulations are any indication, it looks like Harper and the Cardinals would be best off with him playing right field in St. Louis, and Machado should lean toward manning the hot corner for the Padres. But those are but two options in the multiverse of possible outcomes. The only thing that we are 100 percent certain about is that at least one of these teams should sign these guys now. Stars like Machado and Harper shouldn’t still be going into spring training without a deal in place — for their own sake and for the sake of fan bases whose teams can use them to compete this season.
Special thanks to Richard Grisham and Out of the Park Developments for their help with this story.

Reminders
» Carrying Copies of Passport and Visa
We have been informed by Public Security Bureau that policemen are being sent to different locations like supermarkets or streets to check people's passport and visa. We would like to remind our community that carrying a copy of your passport and visa in your wallet is recommended so you are fine if you are checked. Please note that the policemen will show you their working ID when they stop you. If they don't, please ask. If you forget to carry the two copies, they could take you back to their office. In this case, we suggest you contact your employer who can confirm your passport and visa information. They may also stop unaccompanied students so I would recommend that you review this procedure with them as well.
» New Residence Permits, Work Permits or Passports?
Whenever you or your family members receive new residence permits, work permits and/or passports, please be sure to send copies of your new documents to the Admissions office, in the Welcome Center (1st floor High School). Or, email soft copies to Admissions. Keeping your children's files up to date helps us keep in compliance with Chinese governmental regulations.
» No Bicycles for Children Under Age 12 on Public Streets - Shanghai International Schools Association (SISA)
The following information regarding bicycle riding in Shanghai is shared in an attempt to be helpful to all its member schools. For safety purposes, the regulations in Shanghai allow for bicycles to be ridden on public streets only by children age 12 and above. This regulation is strictly enforced in Puxi, but is unevenly applied in Pudong. The immediate danger is that families may assume that local protections for bicycle riders may be the same as in their own country, but they are not. It is important to be aware that if a child under 12 is involved in any kind of accident on a public street or crossing, the parent may be held responsible. Sidewalks and bicycle paths along public roads are considered part of the public roads. In addition, as accident insurance is relatively new to China and there are not many precedents with these situations, your own accident or medical insurance company has the right to refuse cover in the event of violation of the local law. We hope that better understanding will result in better safety for younger children.
» Community Bulletin Objectives
The Community Bulletin conveys school and student-related information and supports community, volunteer and charitable organizations. The classified section and driver/ayi notices are meant as a service to parents. With the exception of sharing information and offers from Concordia's official corporate partners, we do not support commercial ventures or for-profit organizations. The Community Bulletin editors reserve the right to omit submitted content deemed to fall outside the scope of the Community Bulletin.
» Parent Directory Privacy Policy
At Concordia, we are very protective of family information and data. The school emails only information that is important and directly related to the school and student issues. Internally, we carefully monitor what is emailed to parents and ensure it is appropriate. The use of email addresses from the parent directory for non-school related or commercial reasons is a severe misuse of the directory.
» Submitting Community Bulletin Items
The Community Bulletin is a bi-weekly newsletter. Please submit text in final format by Wednesday at noon in Arial font (maximum 100 words or 5 sentences in paragraph form with a headline) to [email protected]. Based on the schedule of the next bulletin, submissions may be included the week they are received or the following week.
Any submission received after this time on the week scheduled for publication will be included in the next bulletin in two weeks. Submitted items may run for a maximum of two consecutive publications.

School News
» Welcome Message from Dr. Mary Scott, HOS
Dear Phoenix families, Welcome to the 20th academic year of Concordia International School Shanghai. For our new school families, we are excited you are here. You are joining more than a school; you are joining a community–a community that has been preparing for your arrival. For those of you that are returning to the community, welcome back! I look forward to meeting all of you soon. As we work to live out the mission of the school, we are mindful that each child at Concordia is a gift from God. Each one comes to us with their own individual story. Our faculty and staff look forward to hearing from them and learning more about that story. Whether this is your first year or your 15th year, we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with you in the educational experience of your child(ren). What's new this year? We have expanded and refurbished the Elementary School nurses' office. We've upgraded the deck on the playground and added a golf simulator. We have a brand new air-conditioner for the Phoenix gymnasium which adds cooling and improved air quality in our largest meeting area! In addition to the facility changes, we have also added some new members to our leadership team. Mrs. Brenda Petersen has been promoted to Assistant Head of School for Personnel and Activities. Brenda has been member of the Phoenix community for the past 5 years. Mrs. Jennifer Mendez replaces her as the High School - Assistant Principal. Jennifer has served in teaching and administrative positions in Dubai, Johannesburg and Moscow. Mrs. Dawn Dekoker has been promoted to Assistant Principal in the Elementary School. Dawn has been serving at Concordia for the past 3 years. Mr. Bo Hardegree is the new Director of Marketing. Bo previously held positions in marketing in the United States.
Unite. The Class of 2018 selected this word with the help from the faculty. Throughout the coming year we will explore the word Unite together as we put on love. This year, we will encourage our students to wear love, in academics, spiritual explorations, athletics, fine arts, co-curriculars and service. There is room for faculty and parents to focus on uniting in love too. As this year unfolds, we as a community will uncover what it means to wear love!
It is going to be another amazing year as we receive our students and families on Wednesday, August 16th for the start of the 2017-2018 school year. If you are available, please join me at 2:15 PM in Phoenix Center Ford gym for our opening assembly. I hope to see you there! Blessings,
Mary K. Scott Head of School #UniteConcordia

[id: 4 screenshots. Carole is shown standing in front of the dorm elevator, stretching and yawning, still wearing her Foxbury Soccer uniform and cleets. Her left arm and hand are wrapped in a bandage. To her right are the mailboxes and bathrooms, and to her left another sim walks past to their room.
In the second picture Carole juggles a soccer ball in the cafeteria with a serious, concentrated expression, next to her display board that has in-progress pictures and text taped to it. Nearby students sit at a table, doing homework.
In the third picture, Carole skillfully juggles the ball in the kitchen-dining area of her parents’ home. The sulani sunset colors peek through the open windows. In the foreground of the picture and shown from behind, Terri watches her daughter.
The last pic shows Carole still in her parents’ house, focused on her presentation board, which now looks much nicer and more organized. It’s nighttime outside. In the background, Judith and Terri chat and cook in the kitchen, and Akira sits on a bed talking to another sim. Icons above Terri’s and Judith’s head show Judith’s cooking club is currently a meeting.]
