As promised, I have the teen version of the townies I used for my story The Art of Being Seen Part I - Youth. You can download part II here. Not included is teen Vanessa and teen Geoffrey. I have something in the works for them, dw! (Note: I have decided not to share Nancy in any life stage. I am so sorry if that's a let down but she's been adopted into my Briar legacy and that means she's not up for download. <3
Each comes with their school uniform + any outfit they were seen wearing throughout the series. All the other category are generic blank base game outfits.
Their traits are the ones that came with the game!
I use height sliders! Specifically these presets by Luumia.

15 Questions For 15 Mutuals
I finally got tagged in one of these fun things so I decided to do it. Thanks @oasislandingresident I love learning new things about my friends <3 Anyone who would like to do this as well, I officially tag you! Dooooo itttttttttttttttt
Are you named after anyone? My grandfather's sister who died during the Spanish Flu. Yes, I freaked ALL THE WAY OUT when the pandemic started because of that. So far, I have escaped that fate!
When was the last time you cried? I think the better question would be when was the last time I *didn't* cry. Stupid sappy commercials, dumb songs on the radio, etc yep, I'm a big baby!
Do you have any kids? I have 2 adult children AND a granddaughter! I'm old yall and I am just as surprised as you are that I am still here, lol
Do you use sarcasm a lot? Sarcasm is my love language.
What sports do you play/have you played? I trained in ballet from 18 months old until I broke both of my ankles on a skateboard when I was 15 sooo no more ballet or anything really after that. I did play soccer and was a cheerleader for a brief time in my teens (until I got kicked off the squad because I got caught smoking a cigarette in my uniform on school grounds oopsie!).
What’s the first thing you notice about other people? Their sense of humor or their kindness (or lack thereof of both).
Scary movies or happy endings? SCARY MOVIES!!! Horror is my favorite genre, love love love horror movies!
Any special talents? I have a magical talent of never stfu when I should. It's awesome(no it is NOT).
Where were you born? Virginia Beach, VA AND I MISS IT VERY MUCH
What are your hobbies? Sims, reading, painting...typical boring old lady stuff, I guess lol
Do you have any pets? Yes, a siamese terror named Pete and in February I had an all black cat show up at my window meowing for his life. I brought him to the emergency vet and he has fought a severe respiratory infection, gained a bunch of weight back, and is now healthy enough for his dental surgery in June. His name is Huxley, he is only 2 years old, and he is my special boy that the void sent to me exactly when I needed him.
How tall are you? I am 5 ft even exactly. Or as my husband likes to say, 5 feet of evil lol
Fave subject in school? History, definitely! You would think it would be English considering I'm a writer but nope, I am a huge history nerd!
Dream job? You know what, I don't even know. Maybe an art buyer? History professor? Something where I could travel? I really don't have a dream job because eventually all jobs become...a job lol so meh *shrug*
Eye colour? Green eyed monster RaWr

Nelson Scores Championship Clincher
AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Bearden 0 Ravenwood 0 Overtime (5-3)
Friday, May 24 1:30 CT
MURFREESBORO--Junior goalkeeper Logan Nelson had a block and a goal in the penalty kick shootout Friday to go with his 100 minutes of scintillating keeper play to lead Bearden over Ravenwood 0-0 (5-3) and win the school’s sixth AAA State Championship at Richard Siegel Soccer Stadium.
The shootout was necessitated after the two powerhouse teams played to an intense 0-0 deadlock following eighty minutes and two ten-minute overtime periods. The Bearden forwards kept countering the dangerous Raptor offense behind Jack Raulston’s determined, powerful shots and Dillon Sims’ skillful advances into the corners.
Noah Price once again provided spark in the midfield, as did Wylder Lee up top, not to mention the ice water in their veins as the two unlikely P.K. shooters coolly stepped up and buried their shots in round three and four of the shootout to set up Nelson’s heroics.
The Bulldog ‘bend but don’t break’ backline stepped up big time. Shawn Spencer was a beast on the outside, and Nic Prins flashed his speed running down the Ravenwood forwards. Shepard McMurray continued his strong inside play, and Cole Stopka always seemed to be in the right spot with his volley clears and headers.
Starters Aidan Ainsworth, Lucas Ford, Ahmed Dkhiri, and Preston Ford were integral in the winning effort, and Jack Tirgrath, Omar Hewezi, and Omar Ardahji provided much-needed relief throughout the hard-fought contest.
But the day belonged to the game MVP Nelson, and the Hollywood ending. Just before the shootout, Coach Ryan Radcliffe told his All-State keeper, “You got us here to the P.K.’s, now go win it for us!”
Said Nelson, “As soon as I got the block, I knew I had to put my shot in the back of the net! This is the best graduation present you could have for these seniors, who deserve it so much!”
Goals: none.
P.K. Shootout:
Bearden 11111 = 5
Ravenwood 1110x = 3
JACK RAULSTON (made), DILLON SIMS (made), NOAH PRICE (made), WYLDER LEE (made), LOGAN NELSON (made) - Bearden wins shootout 5-3.
Shots/Shots-on-goal: BHS 16/6 RHS 18/10.Corners: BHS 6 RHS 6. Fouls: BHS 7 RHS 14. Offsides: BHS 1 RHS 0. Conditions: grass soccer pitch, cloudy, 72 degrees. Records: BHS 21-3-1 RHS 18-4-2.
Outside the box.........Nelson executed a perfect cartwheel and backflip to celebrate his clinching P.K. goal.........Don’t burn those white jerseys! Bearden won their last four games on their way to the State title wearing those white uniforms with the impossible-to-read numerals.........Woof!

The Sims 2: Meet Chris Marks:
“Meet my newest member in my main house, Chris. Honestly, when I saw her for the first time, she was looking like a boy: soccer uniform and she was also rocking a santa kind of hat, so I assumed it was a boy. When I asked her to change her hairstyle, I was really confused. I though it was a bug in the game. Oh well, she’s an adorable girl, and I decided to give her a pink hairstyle because my sim’s family is really “unique”, so I wanted her to stand out. I’ve decided to adopt a child, because I have no patience for babies/toddlers.”

Day 4
Day 4 Mwaluvanga 16/04 Sim, Andrea, Jarrad, Mel, Mia, Jude
Again woke up in the morning with the sounds of the stomach going a little crazy, even thought we have been fed very well, rice, potato, pancakes, carb loading with every meal, but this morning was a nice treat, we had donuts but in the shape of a triangle, someone had Jam, smother the inside of that with jam….Jam Donuts!! For breakfast!! Ha ha, was greaaaat!
There is Aust time, then there is Kenyan time, if they say 15 minutes, it is more than hour & half, if they say it is only 15kms up the road, it is at least a minimum 20kms up the road, a team was told the ecclesia was only 400 meters up the road, the team walked minimum 3kms!
We then jumped into a car and took off to the school (Good Samaritan) we visited yesterday, this time we were greeted by the whole school, approx. 40 kids, singing ‘we welcome you, thank you for coming’, the music was just magical, this school was on holidays, the kids all got into your uniforms & came in for photo day, today we photographed the kids, all in their classes, all reciting or acting for us, acting their usual day in the class, this was gorgeous, the singing, the recital, the dancing at the end was a true Kenyan experience, the kids kicked a soccer ball around the field, while the last of the photos were taken, the children then sent us on our way with a beautiful song & dance number, came back to the children’s school, where we covered the photos of the kids that came in for the day to have their photo taken with the kids having their photo taken, the kids waiting were to write their letters to their sponsors, I spoke to a young man
He said he was Kenyan by accident, his dad & mum escaped the war over the border, he was born in Kenya, his mother died & his father had to keep running & he believed that he has died, he is one of the orphans in this house that they look after.
We then headed into the opposite direction for the day at Mwaluvanga ecclesia, this was a small ecclesia, filled with 20 or so bro & sisters, there was approx. 30 children, the photos were done of all the sponsor kids, there was a talk done by myself, this was on the vineyard again, a quick question from Bro La, which was answered by Jarrad
Banana seed/plants were handed to over a dozen of the families in this ecclesia, they then would plant, look after & cultivate this plant to gain the fruit from it in a couple of years’ time.
Lunch was served, rice, lamb & tomato liquid drizzled over the top of it, was very tasty, but was very filling, went to munch down on what I was told was guava, it was in fact a lime, the first bite turned my face inside out, Mia enjoyed the entertainment provided by my expense, was given a freshly chopped coconut, drank the fresh cool milk.
Drove back to the school, went up to visit the children in the home, came back, went to talk to the ladies & Andrew & Simon, Jarrad was asking each person a favourite verse in the bible, they were loving us spending time with them, listening, explaining & just spending time with these gentle souls, made our way back for dinner, enjoyed rice, potato rice combo. Ventured to the kids home for the afternoon meditation from Diane on the the Lord and his ability to heal others that asked to be healed, he said ‘what do you want from me?’, sang a couple of songs/hymns, came back to the room, sat outside with the others, listening to the sounds of the night, time for bed
Another night down…goodnight

A virtual tournament — Simulations fill the void with sports on hold
Sam Adams, a sports anchor at SWX in Spokane, Washington, was just as disappointed as his viewers that the NCAA tournament was canceled.
He understood, of course. But Eastern Washington, which went 23-8 in nearby Cheney, had a strong chance of making its third tournament in school history. And Gonzaga, of course, was 31-2 and set to be a No. 1 seed.
Adams had airtime to fill, but mostly he had a curiosity for what might’ve been. So he turned to Wolverine Studios, makers of PC sports simulation games, for help. Gary Gorski, the company’s founder and lead developer, made a custom bracket for SWX in Draft Day Sports: College Basketball 20, allowing Adams to simulate the games and get realistic outcomes.
“I wanted realism,” Adams said. “But selfishly, I wanted to run highlights.”
This time, he turned to his 14-year-old son, Grant. Father and son used a modified version of NBA 2K on his PS4, downloading custom teams in college uniforms, and played the games on the courts where the NCAA tournament sites would have been. Grant would play and Sam would cut highlights to match the results the simulation provided. He would voice them on the newscast, just like he was recapping a real game.
“When we actually ran the highlights, it was like a weight had been lifted off our shoulders,” he said. “Like, sports again!”
Without live sports, sports simulations are uniquely placed to keep fans occupied.
Today is one of the best days of the year. The first rounds of the NCAA Tournament are filled with surprises and thrilling finishes. Brackets busted, dreams made true.
TODAY WILL BE NO DIFFERENT! (despite coronavirus’s best efforts)
The #QuaranTourney has begun. (A thread) pic.twitter.com/mXatvjOMJU
— 𝚂𝚊𝚖 𝙰𝚍𝚊𝚖𝚜 𝚂𝚆𝚇 (@SamAdamsTV) March 19, 2020
“It’s a perfect distraction,” said Gorski, of Draft Day Sports, which publishes simulations for pro and college football and baseball, along with golf. “Our games are so deep that you can sit there for a couple of hours. It’s a great time to get lost in sports.”
On Thursday, which would’ve been Major League Baseball’s Opening Day, there were a variety of news outlets using Out of the Park to simulate games.
“We’re all in this together,” said Richard Grisham, chief operating officer for Out of the Park Baseball. “Maybe it’s a little bit of a way to deal with what’s going on. It definitely is for me.”
The one common theme among them is they’re a departure from the “button-mashers,” or the console games with 3D graphics. The dynasty or franchise modes of console games just scratch the service of their older text-based counterparts.
“Sims are more about stats and strategy than they are about winning reflexes,” said Chris Valius, director of GMGames.org, which chronicles and reviews such games. “Sims tap into the curiosity of how teams are constructed and coached.”
The games have become increasingly sophisticated as they’ve aged, focusing on accuracy over graphics or arcade-style gameplay. Paul and Oliver Collyer started Championship Manager, a hugely successful soccer series, in London in 1992. Out of the Park Baseball developer Markus Heinsohn, who was a Major League Baseball fan in Germany, started OOTP 21 years ago. Jim Gindin, who produces some of the genre’s best pro and college football games at Solecismic Software, launched Front Office Football in 1998. Gorski, a college basketball diehard, has produced his for 14 years.
And as analytics have moved from the realm of the geeks into mainstream sports acceptance, so have sims.
“Games like these feel more real than ever,” Valius said, pointing to the watershed moment five years ago when OOTP Baseball secured MLB and Major League Baseball Players Association licenses, allowing real teams and players to be used. “We are seeing this niche gaming area make friends with league offices.”
Count Boston Red Sox owner John Henry among those friends.
“I was amazed by the breadth and depth of it. Shocked, actually,” he wrote to the developers. “I am absolutely fascinated by the historical and fictional options available. You enable someone to navigate through highly specific, adjustable scenarios through seasons — only limited by your imagination.”
Grisham said several MLB scouts have told him that they even use their game as another data point in their evaluation process, because the simulation can show player development.
In-game options are mind-boggling, with the thousands of configuration or customization options.
Solecismic’s college football game The College Years features players from 14,000 public high schools in recruiting. Draft Day Sports’ College Basketball 2020 features 353 real teams. Out of the Park includes all historical major and minor league seasons, including Negro leagues, since 1871.
“Our games are just deeper, and because we don’t have the flashy graphics, we have to put the emphasis on making the AI realistic for a career-type sim,” Gorski said. “You can’t make the same type of trades in our game that you can make in 2K. The AI just won’t let it happen. They don’t have to put the resources into that. Our focus has to be on giving people that realistic experience over a long period of time.”
Communities develop around each title, from the publishers’ own forums, to Reddit, Discord and livestreams, where fans can play together. Seasons or games can be played against an AI opponent or in online leagues with players across the world. Gamers create downloadable custom teams, lineups or leagues and continue to modify them.
“It flatters me that they do it,” Gorski said. “There’s no payment, there’s no money. They love the game so much that they’ll spend the time to do it.”
With an uncertain return for many leagues, simulations help many fill the void. Both Grisham and Gorski said they’ve seen an uptick in engagement, gaining new fans who weren’t repeat buyers.
“I can’t hang with the kids in ‘MLB The Show.’ But I can tinker with the lineup,” Grisham said. “I can do that all day long. It’s the grown-up’s version of a video game instead of Fortnite.”
With college basketball on hold, Adams has recreated the NCAA tournament step by step with Draft Day Sports: College Basketball 20. Courtesy Sam Adams/SWX
In Spokane, Adams shows the highlights on his newscasts corresponding to the same schedule the tournament would’ve been played. Only he (and Grant) know who wins each game. If a game was due to start at 7 p.m., he teases it on the 5 o’clock news and shows it later in the night. The routine is comforting.
“I spend as much time doing this as I did the last 11 years in the tournament covering Gonzaga,” he said. “It’s just a different kind of work.”
And producing the highlights has been a new sports bonding experience.
“I guess,” he said, “it’s the coronavirus’ version of father and son playing catch.”

The Weekender: Old Kingdom Edition
It's nice to see a weekly update packed with a range of genuinely interesting new releases, sales and updates. It'll set us up well for April as we start getting reviews out - this week has been more news focused as we're in the limbo period between freelance budgets, but hopefully you've appreciated being kept up to date with some of the more notable happenings this week.
We've got a couple of features on the horizon that hopefully will start appearing next week, otherwise it's mainly keeping on top of the review pile.
Meanwhile, in mobile gaming...
Out Now
Holy Potatoes! A Spy Story?! (iOS Universal) (Review)
Headline for this this week is a new entry in the tongue-and-cheek Holy Potatoes! Series, which we reviewed yesterday. This version sees you put in charge of a spy agency, building up your HQ, going on missions and navigating through a central story. For fans of the series it's more of the same, which is fine although we hope to start seeing more innovation in the future. For newcomers this is a respectable espionage-themed management game that's refreshingly silly. Hopefully, we'll see this one cross over to Android.
youtube
This War of Mine: Stories - Father's Promise (iOS & Android)
For some reason PT never covered the original mobile release of This War of Mine, arguably one of the most successful indie titles of this generation. While it's narrative focus isn't quite the kind of thing we look at here, the marriage with tense, survival mechanics as you strive to live through the civil war that's tearing up your city makes for some morbidly compelling gameplay. The Stories spin-off is a stand-alone tale, with a unique story and unique locations, and is a stand-alone release.
youtube
R.B.I. Baseball 19 (iOS & Android) - Full Review Incoming
Sports releases are few and far between in the mobile world, so we try to highlight newcomers wherever we can, especially across sports other than Soccer/Football. We'll try and get a full review of this one up and running so true baseball fans can gauge whether or not this is worth their time. The 2019 version of R.B.I. Baseball sports some new features such as a Franchise mode that lets you manage the same team across multiple seasons, and of course the yearly updates to rosters, uniforms etc...
youtube
Egypt: Old Kingdom (iOS) - Full Review Coming Soon!
The sequel to Clarus Victoria's Predynastic Egypt turn-based management/sim game, although this new title is only on iOS for the moment. Released on PC last year, Old Kingdom offers more of the same simulation-like gameplay where you must guide Egyptian society through the "Great Pyramids" era. The mobile version represents starts at '2.0', so it's had a lot of fixes and improvements since launch on top of the new features brought in.
The developers are offering the main game for free, where you can play through the first 50 odd turns, with the full game being locked behind a £4.99 IAP.
youtube
Shattered Plane (iOS & Android) - Full Review Coming Soon!
Last but certainly not least, a new turn-based strategy game has come to turn. Shattered Plane pits four players and/or AI opponents against each other in a fast-paced game of conquest. You have armies that you push around the map, and you can either attack your opponents armies or conquer settlements. It describes itself as 'tactical' but there arn't any actual tactical battles - everything auto-resolves. Planning is paramount, and maps are procedurally generated. There are online rankings, as well as local hotseat multiplayer available.
youtube
Updates
Rebel Inc. (iOS & Android) (Review)
Ndemic have released the third major update for their insurgency strategy game, Rebel Inc. Free content includes deserting soldiers and luxury hotel construction, while the Tanks & Caves expansion adds a new maps, a new commander, and tanks! You can unlock the expansion for $1.99 or by playing through the whole game on Brutal. There’s a season pass option now as well.
Don't forget to check out our tips & tricks guide if you're looking for advice - we're in the process of updating it with the new content.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (iOS & Android)
One of Bioware's all-time classics, Knights of the Old Republic, as been a welcome sight on mobile for a while now thanks to Aspyr (the same company that brought Civilization 6 to iPads as well). Being as aged as it is, you don't often see much support for it these days but the mobile devs have been good at pushing out quick-fixes where they've been needed. This week they released a small patch that made some UI & resolution adjustments for iPad and iPhone X devices, as resolving a crash issue on iPad Pro.
Sales
Holy Potatoes! We're in Space?! (iOS Universal) (Review): $2.99 Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! (iOS & Android) (Review): $1.99
In celebration of the release of A Spy Story, above, Daylight have discounted their other Holy Potatoes! games, so if you're interested in checking out the others now's a great opportunity to jump on board.
Wars Across the World (iOS Universal) (Review): $0.99
One of our favourite iOS war games is currently half price for the second time since launching... although considering full price is $2, that's not saying much. WATW's main thing is through the various scenario DLCs available, which are still their usual price. Still, if you're looking to speculate, now is a good a time as any.
Solitairica (iOS & Android) (Review): $1.99
We're getting a lot of roguelike/card game combinations coming out at the moment, but back in 2016 Solitairica set a gold standard for this type of game. You can read Tof's review to find out our full thoughts on this, but if you haven't tried it yet we'd highly recommend you do so while it's going cheap. Note that the game is free-to-download on Android, with IAPs for the full game.

We Put Bryce Harper And Manny Machado On A Bunch Of Different Teams
We are now less than a week away from almost all pitchers and catchers reporting, and the two biggest free agents on the market — Manny Machado and Bryce Harper — have yet to sign. The rumor mill around them continues to swirl, but we’re tired of not knowing for sure where these two will play this year. So we thought we’d take matters into our own hands, instead of simply waiting around for the latest hot-stove updates.
To that end, we called on our friends at Out of the Park Baseball (OOTP), a strategic simulation game that allows players to put on their general manager hats and run their own teams. We asked them to simulate out the careers of Harper and Machado a bunch of times under scenarios where they sign with a bunch of different teams. Think of it as the multiverse of MLB possibilities that still could play out, depending on where these two superstars end up signing.
It’s important to note that this is all guided by the game’s artificial intelligence, so it’s based on a simulation engine primarily intended for fun gameplay.1 Having said all that, in the true spirit of J. Henry Waugh’s Universal Baseball Association, what if …
… Machado signs with the White Sox?
Frequency: 80 percent of simulations2 Average contract: Eight years for $198 million Six-year team wins: 78.7 per season Six-year WAR: 6.0 per season Best playoff result: Loses divisional series in 2021
Machado is one of the brightest stars in the OOTP universe, with an overall rating of 77 out of 80 (using the traditional 20-80 scouting scale). If he were to sign with the White Sox, one of his most frequently rumored suitors in real life, OOTP sees him having a tremendous individual debut in Chicago, putting together an All-Star season worth 6.5 wins above replacement. But the White Sox would have to wait until 2020 to improve as a team, leaping from 63 wins in 2019 to 92 in 2020, with Machado once again having a strong 5.8-WAR season. Chicago would average 92 wins per season in 2020 and ’21, making the playoffs both years, but they would top out with a tough five-game loss in the American League Division Series in 2021, then drop down to 80 wins in 2022 as Machado’s teammates regress.
He would average 5.7 WAR per season over the next two years, but the Sox would miss the playoffs both seasons, with Machado opting out of his contract to join the New York Mets on a five-year, $197.5 million deal before the 2025 season. (Chicago would be fine without him, making the American League Championship Series in 2025 and 2026.) In New York, Machado’s individual numbers would decline to an average of 4.1 WAR per season, but he would help the 2028 Mets reach the World Series — where, in classic Mets fashion, they would lose to the Astros in seven games. After bouncing to the Nationals and Rockies in the early 2030s, Machado would retire in October 2032 with a JAWS score of 63.4, which should easily earn him a place in the Hall of Fame.
… Machado signs with the Padres?
Frequency: 20 percent of simulations Average contract: Eight years for $212 million Six-year team wins: 83.3 per season Six-year WAR: 5.0 per season Best playoff result: Loses league championship series in 2024
If Machado were to sign with San Diego, OOTP’s AI thinks that he would make about $14 million more over an eight-year contract than he would with the White Sox. But how would his Padres do on the field? In this universe, Machado would have an incredible initial campaign in Southern California, putting up 7.5 WAR and winning the National League’s MVP in 2019. His team, though, would only improve from 66 to 76 wins, good for third place in the NL West, and Machado would later struggle to repeat his amazing debut season. The simulations have him averaging just 4.1 WAR per season in 2020-21, with the Padres winning only 71 games a year. But in 2022, Machado would bounce back with 5.2 WAR, and San Diego would win 95 games, making the divisional series. It’s part of a three-year playoff surge for the Padres, peaking with 100 wins in 2024 — but that team is projected to crash out of the playoffs with a disappointing five-game NLCS loss to the Dodgers.
That offseason, Machado would opt out of his initial contract and sign a five-year, $157.5 million deal with the expansion Memphis Scouts — which are a thing in this universe! — where he would spend the next five seasons playing reasonably well (4.2 WAR per year), but losing so many ballgames would surely give him flashbacks to the horrid 2018 Orioles. The best season of Machado’s final years is forecast to be an out-of-nowhere 4.3-WAR season with the 101-win Cincinnati Reds in 2032, but that team would ultimately lose in the divisional series. In September 2035, Machado would retire from pro baseball as a probable Hall of Famer.
… Machado signs somewhere else?
While OOTP’s AI thinks Chicago and San Diego are the destinations most likely for Machado, it also forced him onto the Phillies, Yankees and Twins for the sake of the full multiverse. The first two outcomes are about a wash individually, with Machado nearing 7 WAR in his best simulated season for each team and producing roughly the same total WAR (33.9 in New York, 32.6 in Philly). He would also stay longer in each city: seven years with the Phillies before opting out to join the Giants and the full eight-year contract span with the Yankees. But in terms of team performance, Machado wouldn’t win a World Series in either Philadelphia or New York, coming closest with a seven-game ALCS loss in 2022 as part of his Yankees timeline. It’s kind of a sad set of outcomes for a pair of teams that you’d think would offer Machado the greatest chance of team success. As for the Twins, they would be very successful with Machado, winning 90.2 games per season in his five years in Minnesota, including a World Series berth in 2021. But he would also opt out of that contract as early as possible, moving on to sign a massive deal with the Giants. Such is the way of Minnesota sports.
Let’s move on to Harper, whose future is more difficult to read than Machado’s. OOTP’s AI predicted that he’d sign with any of four teams — the Giants (64 percent), Cardinals (20 percent), Padres (12 percent) and Dodgers (4 percent) — and that’s not even the full spate of his commonly rumored options. But let’s peer into OOTP’s crystal ball anyway. What if …
… Harper signs with the Giants?
Frequency: 64 percent of simulations Average contract: Seven years for $175 million Six-year team wins: 82.1 per season Six-year WAR: 3.3 per season Best playoff result: No playoffs
The Giants are a weird team that won 73 games last season despite trying to contend, and they do have the need for a corner outfielder like Harper if they want to try it again in 2019. According to OOTP, San Francisco would pay about $15 million to $20 million more over a seven-year deal than Harper’s other potential suitors, and they wouldn’t get much postseason success out of it. They are projected to average 85.5 wins per season over the first four years of Harper’s deal, finishing second in the NL West (and out of the playoffs) each year. They would also get classic inconsistent Bryce: 5.7 WAR in Year 1, followed by 2.2 and 2.9 WAR (both seasons riddled with injuries), then 4.4, and then 0.6 in a terrible 2023 season during which Harper would hit .209, with the Giants crashing to 74 wins.
After six up-and-down seasons by the Bay, Harper would sign a four-year, $116.8 million deal with the Brewers. He is projected for a strong season on a playoff-bound Milwaukee team in 2025 but then just 2.1 WAR per year over the next two seasons before opting out early yet again to join … yes, the Yankees. During his inevitable run in pinstripes, Harper would boast an .821 OPS as his Yanks make (and lose) the ALCS in 2028, but he would put up negative WAR over the next two seasons. He would retire at age 38 after being released by New York (and briefly rejoining the Giants). Harper’s final JAWS score of 49.9 would put him right on the edge of the Hall of Fame relative to other right fielders.
… Harper signs with the Cardinals?
Frequency: 20 percent of simulations Average contract: Seven years for $151 million Six-year team wins: 87.2 per season Six-year WAR: 4.9 per season Best playoff result: Loses World Series in 2027 and 2030
This is one of the most successful universes either star free agent had in our OOTP simulations. In this world, the Cardinals would grab Harper for the bargain-bin price of $151 million, and he would stay with them for a total of 12 seasons thanks to another midcareer contract extension. St. Louis would be mostly competitive throughout Harper’s dozen seasons there, averaging 87 wins per year and making the playoffs nine times, including two pennant-winning runs. Harper is projected for 53.4 total WAR in a Cardinals uniform (which would actually rank him just below Ozzie Smith for fifth on the franchise’s all-time leaderboard), winning the 2023 NL MVP with a 1.033 OPS and 7.4 WAR. In Harper’s final season as a Cardinal at age 37, OOTP sees St. Louis losing the 2030 World Series to (Machado’s?) White Sox in a heartbreaking seventh game.
After leaving St. Louis, Harper would sign a three-year, $62 million deal with the Mets, but a fractured knee would cost him 88 games in his first New York season, and he wouldn’t be the same player afterward, averaging just 1.1 WAR/year in 2032-33. Following an ineffective 51-game stint with the Giants in 2034, Harper would retire as a surefire Hall of Famer with a JAWS score of 69.2.
… Harper signs somewhere else?
Harper has been linked to so many teams, it’s tough to keep track sometimes. So we asked OOTP to look at the other teams its own AI saw Harper signing with (the Padres and Dodgers), plus the Phillies, White Sox and Harper’s erstwhile team, the Nationals. Of those, the Dodgers easily offer the greatest amount of team glory — in fact, they would basically become a dynasty with Bryce on board, winning the 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024 World Series and losing it in 2025 (as Harper would put up 44.3 WAR during seven seasons in L.A.).3 Individually, Harper would finish with 98.3 WAR in that universe, edging out his 93.2 WAR in the Cardinals simulation for the best of the options we looked at. The rest offer varying degrees of lesser success from both a team and personal perspective, with the Phillies, Nats and Padres projected to make the playoffs a few times on Harper’s first contract (he would re-up with the Padres and Nationals for the long-term in those simulations) and Harper accumulating just shy of 80 career WAR in each universe.
So where should each star sign? If these OOTP simulations are any indication, it looks like Harper and the Cardinals would be best off with him playing right field in St. Louis, and Machado should lean toward manning the hot corner for the Padres. But those are but two options in the multiverse of possible outcomes. The only thing that we are 100 percent certain about is that at least one of these teams should sign these guys now. Stars like Machado and Harper shouldn’t still be going into spring training without a deal in place — for their own sake and for the sake of fan bases whose teams can use them to compete this season.
Special thanks to Richard Grisham and Out of the Park Developments for their help with this story.

82 iPhone Sports Games That Will Get You Hooked
Having a few iPhone sports games installed will surely help you make time pass faster when commuting or waiting for something.
According to the Bureau of Labour Statistics of the United States, Americans are spending a minimum of 5 hours daily engaging sport activities.
The top iPhone sports games that you will find in our list are having awesome graphics and simple controls.
This makes it easier for you to take your tablet or phone and get hooked by a great game.
If you’re into rough sports or you prefer to manage tactics and teams, there is surely something that you can find in our list of mobile sports games for your iOS device.
NBA 2K17
The NBA playoffs are in full swing, but you’re just as likely to find first-rate hoops action on your iPhone with NBA 2K17. Slick graphics, a variety of game modes, and full court gameplay continue the record set by the series, with expanded gameplay features and physical controller support included in the latest release.
Highlights include a deeper MyCareer mode with a new Off Day Simulator, as well as an expanded EuroLeague feature, alternate team uniforms, and historic players. All of this comes on top of the already excellent package of Season, MyCareer, and Blacktop mode play, making this a premium sports game well worth its asking price.
Madden NFL Mobile
An interesting mix of hardcore sim and free-to-play fun, Madden NFL Mobile combines the franchise’s hard-nosed American football action and tactical play with a digital trading-card system. The game features slick graphics, as well as technical gameplay that rewards smart playbook choices and sound tactics in the field.
Madden NFL Mobile also offers League and Season modes, live events and challenges to spice things up, as well as a marketplace and auction house for purchasing booster packs or extra players to upgrade your team.
Football Heroes Pro 2017
Whereas Madden NFL Mobile goes for a mix of arcade and simulation gameplay, Football Heroes Pro 2017 is a full-on arcade experience that draws inspiration from Tecmo Bowl and NBA Jam. Simple arcade controls, super moves and a cartoony art style keep things light and fun, with multiplayer support over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth that lets you battle it out with friends.
Like many free-to-play sports games, it’s driven by a collectible card mechanic, with players spending in-game points or real cash in order to purchase booster packs of players.
NBA Jam
NBA Jam is a 2-on-2 basketball arcade classic, and the modern mobile remake stays true to the original’s wacky aesthetic and arcade gameplay, while also offering modern features like online multiplayer.
Players can dive straight into the action with the Play Now mode or unlock hidden players and cheats in the single player campaign. Local multiplayer allows you to go head to head versus a friend via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
MLB Perfect Inning
While Gamevil’s earlier Baseball Superstars games featured an anime-RPG aesthetic, the licensed MLB Perfect Inning offers more realistic sports sim gameplay along with its free-to-play card-collecting system.
Perfect Inning’s numerous game modes include a full-on AI-controlled simulation, an offense-only mode, and a mode that has you take full control of your team’s pitching and batting. As players progress, they earn points that can be spent to buy new players or upgrade their existing lineup (all of which also can be done with real cash).
While Perfect Inning delivers a compressed baseball game experience, MLB Home Run Derby 2016 goes for a more full-on arcade experience, challenging players to hit as many home runs as they can in a given amount of time.
Players earn points for both the number of home runs hit, distance those homers travel and targeted skillshots, with end-of-match rewards allowing you to sign up new players, buy improved equipment or grab temporary boosts for in-game performance.
Arcade mode has you battling for points, while single player and multiplayer derby modes will let you battle it out against the AI or other human players in head to head bracket battles. MLB updates the game every season to reflect the venue for that year’s All Star Game.
Real Boxing 2: Rocky
Put up your dukes in Real Boxing 2: Rocky. Players can take on the role of Rocky Balboa and relive the movies by fighting it out against iconic adversaries like Apollo Creed and Ivan Drago to become world champion.
Alternatively, you can chart your own course by creating a custom boxer and engaging in the game’s career mode, where you can challenge a variety of opponents as well as time-limited bosses, or engage in PVP matches against other players.
Virtua Tennis Challenge
Sega’s Virtua Tennis Challenge brings the venerable sports franchise to mobile devices, letting players choose from 50 fictional players in their quest to become the world’s No. 1 tennis player. Players can utilize either gesture controls or a more traditional virtual gamepad as they cut loose with lobs, slices, drop shots and more.
The SPT World Tour mode challenges you to advance to the top by competing in new tournaments daily. Exhibition matches allow you to cut loose with quick matches, and you can challenge your friends to a multiplayer match over Bluetooth.
Table Tennis Touch
Table Tennis Touch takes the high-intensity game of ping pong and translates it adroitly into a mobile-friendly form. Players take control of the paddles with swipes, engaging in high-speed rallies against a variety of opponents.
Players can engage in a Career mode, have at it in Quick Play games or unlock a variety of challenging minigames in Arcade mode. Table Tennis Touch looks and plays great, and the addition of a multiplayer mode lets you play against friends in local and online matches.
FIFA Mobile
FIFA Mobile is the latest of Electronic Arts’ annual football games, delivering slick soccer action straight into your smartphone; it’s also one of the 10 best iOS games of 2016 according to Apple’s App Store rankings.
In addition to the Ultimate Team management mode, FIFA Mobile also includes a variety of short game modes, such as Attack Mode that puts you in command of an aggressive play against the other team’s goal, as well as a continuously updated roster of Live Events games themed around the latest matches and events. In addition, FIFA Mobile now includes social play Leagues, with players grouping up and joining forces in inter-league competitions.
Matt Duchene’s Hockey Classic
Take to the ice with Matt Duchene’s Hockey Classic, the latest in Distinctive Wireless’s mobile series, which adds new game modes and expanded team rosters to the mix. Players can jump in for some instant action with Face-Off games, while Playoff and Winter Games modes have a more tournament style going for them.
A grueling new Hockey Giants mode has teams racing to 5 points, and the Outdoor Series and Live Games add new ways to play for an already solid mobile hockey game.
Football Manager 2017 Touch
For a more strategic view of “the beautiful game”, check out Sega’s long-running Football Manager series, a game that puts you in the manager’s chair of your favorite football clubs.
A fantastically detailed sports simulator that prizes accuracy over flashiness, Football Manager dry, menu-driven interface and gameplay isn’t exactly spectacular, but for a stat junkie that loves all the nitty-gritty details of transfers, lineups and tactics, it’s a dream come true.
More iterative than revolutionary, the 2017 edition features new game modes such as a Fantasy Draft, Online Versus, and Online Career modes. The Touch edition is designed for higher end tablets like the newest iPads, while Football Manager Mobile is designed to work on smartphones.
True Skate
Take to the skate park with True Skate, a mobile skating game that has you swiping, flicking and dragging on the touch screen to pull off crazy skateboard tricks.
Rather than engaging you in missions or competitions, True Skate is more of a skateboarding sandbox, allowing you to play around in the game’s virtual skate park and score points based on the difficulty of your tricks. In-app purchases provide additional content, such as more skate parks and board customization options.
King of the Course Golf
Electronic Arts’ King of the Course Golf is decidedly less of a hardcore golf sim than the Tiger Woods series. The game instead aims for a more arcadelike feel, with game modes for conventional stroke play or trick shots such as hitting bulls eyes or skipping your shot across the water.
The quick-play challenges might be on the fantastical side, but the game does offer famous real-world courses, such as TPC Sawgrass, Pinehurst No. 2 and Banff Springs
Super Stickman Golf 3
And now for something completely different. Super Stickman Golf 3 throws simulation totally out the window in exchange for absolutely wacky, side-scrolling physics-puzzle gameplay.
Featuring 20 dynamic courses, hundreds of holes and a wide variety of hazards and terrain types such as magnets, moving obstacles and sticky terrain, Super Stickman Golf is definitely not your daddy’s golf sim.
Players can unlock a variety of player avatars, ball trail effects, and dozens of hats with a variety of game traits, and can participate in online multiplayer when they’ve grown tired of the single player challenges.
New Star Soccer
If you’ve never really gotten along with classic footy games on mobile, New Star Soccer shows that there’s another way. This is a proper native mobile football game, and it’s brilliant.
Punch Club
Train your MMA fighter into a formidable fighting machine whilst simultaneously taking care of his life outside of the ring. It’s basically a Rocky simulator, which is fine by us.
Skiing Yeti Mountain
This deeply daft casual game somehow nails the rhythm and momentum of downhill skiing with a simple touch and swipe control system.
Penny Time
There are more faithful skateboarding sims on iOS, but Penny Time focuses on simply being fun. It does so by creating a slick, stunt-filled autorunner with a distinctive art style.
Touchgrind Skate 2
This one takes a rather literal stance regarding controlling a sports game with your fingers. The board appears on the screen and your fingers become tiny legs, enabling you to perform gnarly and rad tricks, man! Irksome lingo aside, this is a fantastic title that’s initially demanding but hugely rewarding once mastered.
You can also upload videos of your best moves and show off to your friends, and there’s fortunately no way you can skin your knees, unless you trip over while obsessively performing ollies, powerslides and heelflips while walking down the street.
Magnetic Billiards
If you’re the kind of person who gets off on using cushions to pot the odd ball in pool, you’ll love Magnetic Billiards. A sort-of physics puzzler take on the popular pub game, it dispenses with pockets entirely — you instead clear the table by building clusters of connected balls that then vanish.
Emptying a table’s the easy part, though — the real skill is in figuring out insanely complex trick shots to get to that point, ‘buzzing’ balls of different colours, and creating a pleasing magnetic shape before it vanishes into the ether. For free, you get 20 tables; £1.49 nets you a ‘skeleton’ key that unlocks the rest of the game.
World Tour Golf
With EA having deserted ‘proper’ golf games on mobile for the arcadey nonsense of King of the Course, WGT thwacks a ball and gets a realism hole-in-one. This really is a quite astonishing game, from the delicate controls through to the eye-popping photo-realistic courses you play on.
A word of warning: it also takes no prisoners. There’s no nonchalantly spinning a ball in mid-air when you fluff a shot. Here, you’ll end up in the bunker, then overshoot the green, before multiple putts leave you embarrassingly over par. But put in the practice and you’ll be a virtual golfing superstar before long.
R.B.I. Baseball 17
If you love the realistic simulation sports games that exist on all the major consoles, you’ll love R.B.I Baseball 17.
This massive game (a download size of 2.55 GB) allows you to play the full 162-game 2017 MLB season as your favorite team! Through free updates, you can keep up with all the roster changes throughout the season, so you never skip a beat!
With three difficulty levels to choose from, you’ll be able to enjoy the experience of real baseball regardless of your skill level. Can you take your team in the postseason?
When it comes to realistic sports simulations in iOS, R.B.I Baseball 17 is a home run.
Snowboard Party 2
Snowboard Party 2 is a surprisingly exciting snowboarding game that has a lot of depth. With five game modes, 50 unique tricks to perform, and 16 playable characters, there are a lot of reasons to keep playing.
Despite being a slightly older game, Snowboard Party 2’s graphics are still pretty impressive, and the game hasn’t been abandoned by the developer. The newest version updated about a month ago.
Snowboard Party 2 is the closest thing you will be able to get to those classic SSX Snowboard games you used to play on your favorite console.
Fishing Kings Free+
Dream of hitting the open water and reeling in a big one? Fishing Kings Free+ is an oldie, but a goodie!
Sail around the world to catch the rarest and biggest fish around! You’ll need gain experience, make money, and collect new gear to become a true master angler.
Despite being an older game, the graphics are still pretty impressive, and the gameplay is really fun and challenging, making it great to play for a couple of minutes or a couple of hours!
8 Ball Pool
Another classic game that is still going strong, 8 Ball Pool is a fantastic pick-up-and-play billiards game!
With several different tables and locations to choose from, you can face off against AI opponents on three different difficulties in the practice arena!
Do you think you have what it takes to be the best pool shark in the world? Take on people from all over the world and show them who’s boss!
Whether you want to spend minutes or hours playing pool, 8 Ball Pool has a super active community; you’ll never have trouble finding someone to play with!
Flick Champions
Like a lot of sports? This game has eight variations of sports, from soccer to bowling.
The games resemble table versions, rather than realistic sport versions. However, they’re still more involved than something like foosball or air hockey. The games feature tournaments and various unlockables, and have same-device multiplayer in the universal iPad version.
Flick Soccer
Soccer is most fun when the player can score goals (sorry, 0-0 matches will never be exciting).
This game is all about the set pieces, and trying to sneak balls past the goalie. The flick mechanic is very easy to use, and makes the game much more fun to play than the average soccer match.
Dream League Soccer 2016
Everyone loves soccer and there’s no doubt about it. Dream League Soccer 2016 is a full featured game with amazing graphics. The game lets you create a team of real FIFPro players, build your own stadiums, and take your team online to get acknowledged.
It’s almost like playing in real; the only difference is that your fingers will work instead of your legs. The game is free to play, but it does have optional coin purchase, in case you wish to.
Snowboarding the Fourth Phase
Snowboarding isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, as it required physical fitness as well as professional training. But if you still wish to have the feel of Snowboarding, you can try Snowboarding The Fourth Phase game for iPhone and iPad.
It has high-resolution graphics that will simply leave you stunned. With power packed levels and features, the adrenaline rush will stay on the peak. It’s completely free to play, but there are optional coin purchases to progress speedily.
Flick Rugby 16
Rugby required extreme fitness to withstand the blows given by opponents. But if you don’t want your bones to break, better play the game on your iPhone or iPad. Flick Rugby 16 is a free to play game with optional in-app purchases.
Apart from that, the game offers a selection of world’s best rugby nations, stunning HD graphics, and much more. It is surely a great game, if you are a fan of rugby.
Golf Star
Golf is considered as a game of rich people and to some extent it is true, not everyone can play golf at the golf court. That’s the reason why we listed Golf Star in this list. The game has stunning next to real graphics.
The terrain, players, and entire gameplay have been detailed with perfection to deliver a golf experience like never before. Like all other games that we have listed, this one is also free but with optional in-app purchases. So far, this is one of the best sports games for iPhone and iPad.
World Cricket Championship 2
Cricket season is on and ICC T20 World Cup is on its way, then why not have some fun with the same on your iPhone / iPad as well? World Cricket Championship 2 is one hell of a game with almost everything that the game of Cricket has to offer.
You can play more than 45+ different shots, select the stadium, build your team, and much more. It is undoubtedly one of the best sports games you can ever play on your iPhone or iPad.
Snooker World
Snooker is one of my favorite sports and so is this game. Snooker World presents you with many different game modes that include one-on-one, multiplayer, and arena. The game also offers a training course, if it’s your first time.
There’s a wide range of selection available for cues and tables to suit your gaming style. Apart from that, you can also chat with players by text or by voice. So get yourself ready to lead the charts worldwide. Did I say the game is totally free?
EA Sports UFC
One of the fastest growing sports is UFC. Now you can virtually get involved without getting hurt. Pick your fighter and begin training. Along with the standard dodging and hitting, each fighter has special skills that will be improved the longer you fight. Use small hits until you a fill up a meter where you can take someone down.
Get your opponent on the floor until you can put them in a submission hold and eventually win the match. One of the most exciting features is the live events. Play along during an actual match to earn rewards. The graphics on this game are intensely realistic, you can even see sweat and blood. It is the best way to enter the octagon and get up close and personal with the action.
Jam City Basketball
This is an arcade-like version of a basketball game. It isn’t affiliated with the NBA so there aren’t actual players or teams but that doesn’t make it any less fun. Play as a guy who just loves basketball and learn how to run and shoot in a gym. Once you’re ready to play against others, you have a few options.
You can play in Arcade mode, which is a two v. two game against the computer. You can also play a Shootout against someone random or a friend. Wait for the app to find your opponent and shoot until the balls are gone. Graphics are cartoony, but gameplay is fun and silly.
Super Rocketball:ChampionLeague Online Multiplayer
Soccer and car-racing are two separate yet equally fun sports to try. If you are interested in both, then this hybrid treat might just delight you! Featuring sports cars in outrageously fun games of soccer, now you can enjoy racing, dribbling, and scoring goals at the same time. Team up with the world’s best players to get more fun experiences!
Control your car throughout the field by tapping on the buttons for directions, and the buttons for accelerating, boosting, and jumping.
32 Secs
Take a break from the real world and speed race to the future on your bike. This racing game’s objective is to overtake every other glitzy vehicle to reach the next checkpoint gate within 32 seconds. Collect coins along the way, and run through speed boosters to accelerate.
Avoid colliding with other moving vehicles, and use the coins you collect to upgrade your vehicle’s power, brakes, handling, structure and even model!
Tap to dive and follow the arrows’ directions to perform the right poses! The goal of the game is to fill up the bar with as many points as you can until you reach the target. There is a time limit for each move, so make sure you tap and swipe as fast as you can. Collect coins while you dive by clicking on them before they disappear!
Keep an eye on the bar on the upper left; once it is full, you can use your special skills by touching the screen with two fingers
Crazy Freekick
Prepare for a free kick soccer game that is capable of delivering lots of laughs! The early levels will help you pick up the game mechanics - simply drag to aim, and then release to kick the ball into the goal. However, things begin too get crazy as you pass each challenge across the 16 stages. It seems that the opposing team will do anything to keep you from scoring, from riding on bicycles to breaking the fourth wall!
Stickman Surfer
Life is a beach, so it’s time to get surfing! Grab your board, hop on that jetski, and rev up your … motorcycle?! Enter this stickman game which takes water sports to a new surreality. Ride the tide as you dodge various obstacles which come your way from every angle. Snapping sharks, ragged rocks, and bothering birds will try their hardest to have you feeling on the soggy side.
Tap the screen to move your player up, and perform daring jumps over ferocious waves as you automatically scroll to the right in this 2D paradise.
Zombie Olé

Ending thoughts on iPhone sports games
There’s a long line of top notch sports games throughout videogame history. Take any moderately popular sport, and you’ll probably find it’s available in some kind of simulated form.
Off course, sports games don’t necessarily need to be dry simulations. Developers can take the core rulesets of familiar sports and go off on a tangent, or even invent completely new sports of their own.
The result is that whether you’re naturally sporty or not, you’ll probably enjoy the vast majority of these fine sports games.

Dear Phoenix families, Welcome to the 20th academic year of Concordia International School Shanghai. For our new school families, we are excited you are here. You are joining more than a school; you are joining a community–a community that has been preparing for your arrival. For those of you that are returning to the community, welcome back! I look forward to meeting all of you soon. As we work to live out the mission of the school, we are mindful that each child at Concordia is a gift from God. Unite. The Class of 2018 selected this word with the help from the faculty. Throughout the coming year we will explore the word Unite together as we put on love. There is room for faculty and parents to focus on uniting in love too. As this year unfolds, we as a community will uncover what it means to wear love!

Reminders
» Carrying Copies of Passport and Visa
We have been informed by Public Security Bureau that policemen are being sent to different locations like supermarkets or streets to check people's passport and visa. We would like to remind our community that carrying a copy of your passport and visa in your wallet is recommended so you are fine if you are checked. Please note that the policemen will show you their working ID when they stop you. If they don't, please ask. If you forget to carry the two copies, they could take you back to their office. In this case, we suggest you contact your employer who can confirm your passport and visa information. They may also stop unaccompanied students so I would recommend that you review this procedure with them as well.
» New Residence Permits, Work Permits or Passports?
Whenever you or your family members receive new residence permits, work permits and/or passports, please be sure to send copies of your new documents to the Admissions office, in the Welcome Center (1st floor High School). Or, email soft copies to Admissions. Keeping your children's files up to date helps us keep in compliance with Chinese governmental regulations.
» No Bicycles for Children Under Age 12 on Public Streets - Shanghai International Schools Association (SISA)
The following information regarding bicycle riding in Shanghai is shared in an attempt to be helpful to all its member schools. For safety purposes, the regulations in Shanghai allow for bicycles to be ridden on public streets only by children age 12 and above. This regulation is strictly enforced in Puxi, but is unevenly applied in Pudong. The immediate danger is that families may assume that local protections for bicycle riders may be the same as in their own country, but they are not. It is important to be aware that if a child under 12 is involved in any kind of accident on a public street or crossing, the parent may be held responsible. Sidewalks and bicycle paths along public roads are considered part of the public roads. In addition, as accident insurance is relatively new to China and there are not many precedents with these situations, your own accident or medical insurance company has the right to refuse cover in the event of violation of the local law. We hope that better understanding will result in better safety for younger children.
» Community Bulletin Objectives
The Community Bulletin conveys school and student-related information and supports community, volunteer and charitable organizations. The classified section and driver/ayi notices are meant as a service to parents. With the exception of sharing information and offers from Concordia's official corporate partners, we do not support commercial ventures or for-profit organizations. The Community Bulletin editors reserve the right to omit submitted content deemed to fall outside the scope of the Community Bulletin.
» Parent Directory Privacy Policy
At Concordia, we are very protective of family information and data. The school emails only information that is important and directly related to the school and student issues. Internally, we carefully monitor what is emailed to parents and ensure it is appropriate. The use of email addresses from the parent directory for non-school related or commercial reasons is a severe misuse of the directory.
» Submitting Community Bulletin Items
The Community Bulletin is a bi-weekly newsletter. Please submit text in final format by Wednesday at noon in Arial font (maximum 100 words or 5 sentences in paragraph form with a headline) to [email protected]. Based on the schedule of the next bulletin, submissions may be included the week they are received or the following week. Any submission received after this time on the week scheduled for publication will be included in the next bulletin in two weeks. Submitted items may run for a maximum of two consecutive publications.

You are joining more than a school; you are joining a community–a community that has been preparing for your arrival. For those of you that are returning to the community, welcome back! I look forward to meeting all of you soon. As we work to live out the mission of the school, we are mindful that each child at Concordia is a gift from God. Each one comes to us with their own individual story. Our faculty and staff look forward to hearing from them and learning more about that story. Whether this is your first year or your 15th year, we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with you in the educational experience of your child(ren). What's new this year? We have expanded and refurbished the Elementary School nurses' office. We've upgraded the deck on the playground and added a golf simulator. We have a brand new air-conditioner for the Phoenix gymnasium which adds cooling and improved air quality in our largest meeting area! In addition to the facility changes, we have also added some new members to our leadership team. Mrs. Brenda Petersen has been promoted to Assistant Head of School for Personnel and Activities. Brenda has been member of the Phoenix community for the past 5 years. Mrs. Jennifer Mendez replaces her as the High School - Assistant Principal. Jennifer has served in teaching and administrative positions in Dubai, Johannesburg and Moscow. Mrs. Dawn Dekoker has been promoted to Assistant Principal in the Elementary School. Dawn has been serving at Concordia for the past 3 years. Mr. Bo Hardegree is the new Director of Marketing. Bo previously held positions in marketing in the United States.
Unite. The Class of 2018 selected this word with the help from the faculty. Throughout the coming year we will explore the word Unite together as we put on love. This year, we will encourage our students to wear love, in academics, spiritual explorations, athletics, fine arts, co-curriculars and service. There is room for faculty and parents to focus on uniting in love too. As this year unfolds, we as a community will uncover what it means to wear love!
It is going to be another amazing year as we receive our students and families on Wednesday, August 16th for the start of the 2017-2018 school year. If you are available, please join me at 2:15 PM in Phoenix Center Ford gym for our opening assembly. I hope to see you there! Blessings,
Mary K. Scott Head of School #UniteConcordia

Drivers & Ayis
When hiring ayis or drivers, please remember to check references and ask around the community for first-hand recommendations. Even in situations where ads are posted by Concordia families, please recognize that these ads are not vetted in any way by the school before posting. Although names and contact information of ayis and drivers are posted in the Community Bulletin, we do not affirm and/or affiliate ourselves with them.

THIS IS FOR SIMS 2.
Major League Top Separated
This is for AM and AF. It comes with morphs. (thank you @simgigglegirl) It is found in Tops in the Everyday Category.
This project took longer to make than actually converting the outfit.
The concept was to make them for the fans so they are not exact replicas of the athletic wear. They also have a jersey texture overlay. It comes in all the original colors as TS4, except without the decals. It also comes with my college team recolors. There is also an extra college “blue and white Llama” jersey labelled “bluewhite_Llama_J.” This has lettering on the back that I made for story purposes, but thought to share it anyway.
Delete what you don’t want. Keep what you want to keep.

All soccer uniform links: Original 4t2 Major League Outfits, added morphs, teen versions: Male and Female, college extras. Stadium, just in case you need one of those too.
Additionally: I am not planning on doing the shorts, but feel free to do them, if you wish. Let me know so I can add links to my posts.
Happy Simming!
