The F6E Parents as Sims!
Sooo this is what I've been busy with the past week. 😅
I've wanted to do this for a while now, both to recover from the update, and to get a better idea of what I want their character art to look like.
I used some height/fitness mods, but I tried to use as few CC as possible (mostly because it's annoying trying to hunt for the perfect ones). Some of the colors/styles aren't accurate of course, but I'm happy with the results for the most part. If anyone's interested, I might upload all the families to the gallery later (I need to remove the spoilery elements), along with links to the CCs.
Nestor and Mary
I gotta be honest, I was kinda lazy when I made the photo of Mary in Chapter 4, so this is a more accurate image of what Mary looks like in that photo (just imagine her with much longer hair). I mostly picked that outfit for Nestor because it has a lil chicken on it (it's the closest I can get to The NeStore logo), but it seems appropriate for his work anyway.
Josephine and Mariano
I didn't want to make Josy and Mario elders, but I honestly think they look better that way, hehe. They're wearing their everyday outfit since I'm still not sure what they're wearing during Rosie's party. Although... I might actually change Mario from bald to semi-bald like he is here.
Danica and Ma'am Bianes
Okay, Ma'am Bianes isn't Lily's police-mom, but I don't really have a clear idea on what Rickie looks like yet. 😅 Both of their outfits here are pretty close to their respective appearances so far, but just imagine that Dani's arm tattoo is WAY more elaborate.
Stephanie and JM Sr.
I found an outfit that's totally accurate to Tita Steph's current description in the story, but it made me remember that she's a feng shui expert and I think red suits her more than plain black in this case. I'll see if I can find a cane mod/cc for her later.
You don't really meet JM's dad in the story, but here he is anyway, hehe. He's much more grumpy looking in the close up.
Yaya Connie and Kuya Popoy
Not much to say here, but I like how both of them turned out since I didn't have a clear idea of what they both looked like before this. I wasn't planning on giving Connie short hair, but I think it fits her a lot. Just make the trim and ribbon in her outfit black and it's perfect.
Julie and Robert
Out of everyone, I think I'm satisfied with Julie and Robert the most. I can't find a good LT uniform-looking outfit for Robert without CC, so here he is with Julie's favorite shawl instead. Well, it doesn't have any patterns, but even with CC it's annoying to look for scarves/shawls separate from the outfits that aren't tightly wrapped around the neck.
***
Maggie and MC's Dad aren't here for obvious reasons, but I might make Maggie's original version later.
Anyway, I made the characters in IAC too! You can find the post here. Major spoiler warning, of course.
If you're curious, I showed F6E here too a while back, but that one's old and outdated. I kinda want to make them as teens/young adults now though.

4, 12, 23, 29, 44 for the oc asks! c:
4. A character you rarely talk about?
shoutout to: Firi of the Red Scarves, a would-be dnd roguelock turned dnd npc turned. Tav maybe. when I get BG3
his thing is that he's a high elf born with a disability that makes casting magic painful, and his parents, who were dead set on having a wizard son, tried to Fix Him by any means possible, and when he realized they were going to do Unethical Science on him he ran away from home. on his way out he grabbed an expensive-looking necklace off his father's desk, planning to sell it, but that necklace turned out to contain an imprisoned friend that was supposed to serve the wearer of the necklace for a hundred years. Firi went "sweet", put the necklace on, became a warlock and used his newfound powers (which, being borrowed magic and not his own, aren't painful for him to use) to get out of the country and start a new life Elsewhere under a new name. the problem is, the fiend also swore to kill the wearer of the necklace as soon as the hundred years are up, buuuuuuuut maybe Firi can endear himself to it enough that it won't do that! we'll see! <- he is: coping in the best way he can
12. Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot
@curiouslavellan's Aurelia and Helaine are both on the brain quite a lot. and yes it's because they're in AU worldstates with my own characters but also just. I Care Them. they both have this. I don't know. sincerity?? and determination?? to them?? even as the world throws progressively horrible stuff at them?? like you just want to see them succeed and also get a warm meal and a good night's sleep (and some therapy/Reflection Time) because really it's not their fault the world is going crazy around them and they're trying their best
(also I've put Aurelia in my Sims Medieval as the physician and it's been really funny)
23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?
WELL. Pyrrha Thorne (who I'm still rotating) started out as a Dalish character, and then I came up with a different backstory that I also like and. might fit Veilguard's entire deal better, tbh. but we'll see if I go back on it because her having a Dalish background does also have its own crunch (but also I'm really attached to her very non-Dalish name, SO. and we have one Dalish Grey Warden on the team already)
29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they’re going?
....see many of them would go investigate, but not telling anyone... I'm going to say Adina (she does what she wants), Kyana (none of your concern.), Secret (it's going to be FINE, guys), Pyrrha (why?? would anyone need to know she's going there?? she's just checking it out real quick) and Inquisition-era Neilar (honestly he probably SHOULD have said something but. he just didn't feel like it)
44. Something you like about your OCs in general
Every time I make a character I try to center them around a Concept or Idea that's appealing to me personally, and as a result of this they all have struggles/conflicts that are REALLY fun for me to observe and to play with. Each of them has at least one ThingTM that I'll get emotional about if I think about it for too long, and that's what keeps me invested.
...also the ships. I think I've been doing a good job with the ships
#thanks for the ask!!!#oc: firi of the red scarves#probably a galemancer. for the Wizard Power Seeking of it all#but we'll see#oc: pyrrha thorne#oc: adina saar#oc: secret hawke#oc: neilar lavellan#oc: kyana amell

What kind of CAS kit would you like for The Sims 4?
I would love to have outwear CAS kit similar to Poolside Splash Kit. We need more cold climate cold weather outfits - that coat we got in recent update is great example but I still want more. Also we don't have enough beanies and gloves in game, maybe we could get scarves.

1. Lilith Nocturne (Vampire Witch)
• Traits: Evil, Genius, Loner

• Occult: Vampire
• Clothing Style: Victorian Gothic, dark corsets, long flowing black skirts, lace gloves, and high boots. Think dark elegance, with silver and red accents.

2. Mortis Grimes (Undead Revenant)
• Traits: Mean, Gloomy, Hot-Headed

• Clothing Style: Ragged, old-fashioned clothing, torn and weathered. Always in shades of grey and brown as if he's crawled out of the grave. Wears broken chains and tattered formal wear.
• Backstory: Mortis was buried alive centuries ago, and now he's back from the dead, seeking revenge on those who wronged him, even though their descendants have no idea.
3. Selena Shade (Possessed Doll)
• Traits: Insane, Materialistic, Childish
• Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy (because dolls love to be adored)
• Occult: Not an official occult type but behaves like a possessed object
• Clothing Style: Dresses like an antique porcelain doll: frilly dresses, bows, ribbons, and patent leather shoes, all in faded pastel colors.
• Backstory: Selena was a beloved childhood doll, but her owner cast a forbidden spell, trapping her spirit in the toy forever. Now Selena haunts households, yearning for attention.
4. Sable Morgana (Dark Fae)
• Traits: Erratic, Self-Absorbed, Kleptomaniac

6. Vespera Nightshade (Living Nightmare)
• Traits: Evil, Noncommittal, Loves the Outdoors
• Aspiration: Soulmate (twisted goal: she wants a partner to consume their soul)
• Occult: Custom-shadow demon/creature of nightmares
• Clothing Style: Long black cloaks, velvet dresses, always barefoot with smoky or fog-like aura around her. Dark purple and black dominate her wardrobe.
• Backstory: Vespera is a creature that feeds on fear. Every night she haunts the dreams of her chosen victims, slowly driving them mad. She's looking for a "lover" to torment for eternity.
7. Isaac Morrow (Cursed Musician)
• Traits: Creative, Gloomy, Perfectionist
• Aspiration: Musical Genius
• Occult: Human (cursed)
• Clothing Style: Formal, 19th-century concert attire. Old, decayed tuxedos with a ghostly pallor to his appearance. He always carries a violin.
• Backstory: Isaac was once a celebrated violinist but made a dark pact to ensure his talent. Now, he is cursed to play endlessly, never satisfied with his work, driving others to despair with his haunting melodies.
8. Ophelia Graves (Witch of the Moors)
• Traits: Loner, Jealous, Brooding
• Aspiration: Spellcraft and Sorcery
• Occult: Spellcaster
• Clothing Style: Long black robes, tattered scarves, and ancient relics. Always barefoot with disheveled hair and muddy hems. She wears necklaces made of animal bones.
• Backstory: Ophelia lives deep in the moors, feared by the townsfolk who call her a witch. She practices necromancy, longing to raise her lost lover from the dead.
9. Victor Revenant (Living Dollmaker)
• Traits: Loner, Creative, Evil
• Aspiration: Master Maker
• Occult: Human (with dark magic)
• Clothing Style: Victorian, leather aprons over classic gothic suits. Always carries tools and looks slightly unkempt, with blood-stained gloves.

10. Eira Frost (Ice Queen)
• Traits: Self-Assured, Evil, Loner
• Aspiration: Freelance Botanist (but she kills plants instead)
• Occult: Custom-spirit of winter
• Clothing Style: Ice blue dresses, sparkling tiaras, and crystal jewelry. Her clothing seems to shimmer with frost, and her skin has a cold, blueish hue.
• Backstory: Eira was once the spirit of winter who brought beauty to the land, but after being betrayed by her lover, she became cold and vengeful, freezing everything and everyone who crosses her path.

India Travel Tips for First-Time Visitors
India is a land of incredible diversity, rich culture, historical marvels, and vibrant traditions. It’s a destination where every corner offers a new experience, and each state showcases its own unique heritage, cuisine, language, and festivals. However, for first-time travelers, navigating India can be overwhelming. Here are some essential travel tips to make your journey smoother and more enjoyable.
1. Plan Your Itinerary Carefully
Select a Region or Route: India is vast, so instead of trying to cover too much, focus on a few key places or regions. For a first-time trip, the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur) is popular and offers a blend of history, culture, and architecture. Other famous routes include Kerala in the south, Rajasthan in the west, or the serene Himalayan foothills in the north.
Consider the Season: India’s climate varies greatly. The best time for most places is from October to March when the weather is cooler. If you’re visiting the mountains, summer (April to June) is ideal, while monsoon (July to September) brings lush landscapes, especially in Kerala and Goa.
2. Pack Smart and Dress Comfortably
Light and Modest Clothing: IndiaTravel Tips for First-Time Visitors Pack breathable, light clothing, but also keep in mind that modest dressing is appreciated, especially in rural areas and religious sites. Lightweight scarves and long skirts or pants can help you stay comfortable and respectful.
Essentials to Carry: Include comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and basic first-aid items. For extra safety, pack a small padlock, a power bank for your devices, and a photocopy of your passport.
3. Stay Safe and Be Cautious
Use Reliable Transportation: India has a mix of public transportation options—buses, trains, and flights. Trains offer scenic journeys, but for shorter distances, flights are convenient. Use licensed taxis or trusted ride-hailing apps like Uber or Ola, and avoid late-night travel alone.
Watch Your Belongings: Pickpocketing can be an issue in crowded places, so be cautious with valuables. Carry a crossbody bag and keep an eye on your phone and wallet.
4. Embrace Indian Cuisine Wisely
Start Mild: Indian food is famous for its flavors, but it can be spicy for newcomers. Start with mild dishes and build up your tolerance. You can try butter chicken, dal (lentils), paneer dishes, and vegetable biryani for a delicious introduction to Indian flavors.
Choose Safe Food and Water: Avoid street food from places that don’t look clean or where food has been sitting out. Drink only bottled or filtered water, and avoid ice in beverages unless you’re sure it’s made from purified water.
5. Respect Local Culture and Traditions
Dress Respectfully at Temples and Religious Sites: Many temples and religious places require visitors to cover their shoulders, arms, and legs. Remove your shoes before entering. It’s also respectful to keep a scarf or shawl to cover your head in some temples and gurudwaras.
Be Mindful of Personal Space: Indians are warm and welcoming, but personal space expectations can be different. In public spaces, crowds can be intense, especially in markets or during festivals. Embrace the experience but also assert your comfort when needed.
6. Stay Connected and Informed
SIM Card and Internet: Most travelers opt for an Indian SIM card for mobile data. Major networks like Airtel and Jio offer good connectivity across urban and rural areas. You’ll need to provide your passport and a photo at the airport or any major telecom shop.
Stay Updated on Travel Advisories: Keep an eye on travel advisories, especially if planning to visit remote areas. Your hotel can often give guidance, and it’s wise to have a local contact number for emergencies.
7. Be Prepared for Cultural Differences
Accept Indian Time: Things may not always happen on schedule. Trains may be delayed, and locals can sometimes arrive a bit later than expected. Embrace the relaxed pace, and don’t stress if things don’t go exactly as planned.
Expect Curious Questions: Indians are often friendly and curious about visitors. You might be asked questions about where you’re from, your family, or even for selfies. It’s okay to politely decline if you’re uncomfortable.
8. Learn Some Basic Hindi Phrases
Learning a few Hindi phrases can enhance your experience and help you connect with locals. Greetings like “Namaste” (hello) or phrases like “Dhanyavaad” (thank you) can be useful. English is widely spoken in urban areas, but a little Hindi can be helpful in rural areas and with street vendors.
9. Carry Cash Along with Cards
Although digital payments are increasingly popular, many small shops, markets, and restaurants still prefer cash. Carry small denominations for local purchases. ATMs are available in most places, but have some cash in hand for remote locations.
10. Embrace the Spirit of India with an Open Mind
India is a land of contrasts, and things may not always go as planned. Be open to the differences and embrace the unexpected. Sometimes the best experiences come from unplanned moments, spontaneous conversations, or detours to places you hadn’t planned to visit.
Final Thoughts
Traveling in India can be a transformative experience, full of warmth, color, and new perspectives. With these tips in mind, you’ll be better prepared to navigate the nuances of this dynamic country. Be open, be respectful, and take in every moment as a unique adventure. Safe travels!

Packing Like a Pro: Essentials for Your Study Abroad Experience
Embarking on a study abroad journey is an exciting and enriching experience that opens doors to new cultures, perspectives, and adventures. Whether you're heading to a bustling city in Europe, a serene countryside in Asia, or a vibrant university town in Australia, packing smartly can make all the difference in how smoothly your time abroad goes. To help you prepare like a pro, let's delve into the essentials for your study abroad experience.
1. Research Your Destination
Before diving into packing, take some time to research your destination. Consider the climate, local customs, and any specific cultural norms that may impact your wardrobe and lifestyle. For instance, if you're going to a tropical region, lightweight and breathable clothing will be key, while a colder climate will require warm layers and waterproof gear.
2. Essential Documents
Ensure you have all necessary documents in order, including your passport, visa (if required), acceptance letter from your host institution, travel insurance, medical records, and any other important paperwork. Keep digital copies backed up online and carry physical copies in a secure travel document organizer.
3. Clothing Essentials
Pack versatile clothing items that can be mixed and matched for different occasions. Include comfortable walking shoes, a waterproof jacket or coat, layers for varying temperatures, formal attire for special events or presentations, and swimwear if you'll be near beaches or pools. Don't forget accessories like scarves, hats, and sunglasses.
4. Electronics and Adapters
Bring along essential electronics such as your laptop, smartphone, chargers, power banks, and any adapters or converters needed for the local electrical outlets. Consider investing in a portable hotspot or SIM card for reliable internet access, especially if you'll be working or studying remotely.
5. Medications and First Aid
Pack an ample supply of any prescription medications you require, along with a basic first aid kit containing bandages, pain relievers, antiseptic wipes, and any personal health items. Familiarize yourself with local healthcare options and emergency numbers in case you need medical assistance during your stay.
6. Travel Essentials
Include travel essentials like a sturdy backpack or carry-on luggage, travel-sized toiletries, a reusable water bottle, snacks for the journey, a travel pillow and blanket for long flights or train rides, and entertainment such as books, music, or podcasts.
7. Money and Banking
Plan your finances ahead by notifying your bank of your travel plans, obtaining local currency or a travel card for convenience, and keeping emergency cash in a safe place. Familiarize yourself with currency exchange rates and budgeting tips to manage your expenses effectively while abroad.
8. Cultural and Language Resources
Bring along language guides, dictionaries, or translation apps to help you navigate language barriers and communicate effectively with locals. Research cultural etiquette and customs to show respect and adapt to your new environment with ease.
9. Personal Comfort Items
Don't forget to pack items that bring you comfort and familiarity, such as photos of loved ones, favorite snacks or treats from home, a journal for documenting your experiences, and any hobbies or activities you enjoy (e.g., art supplies, musical instruments, sports gear).
10. Safety and Security
Prioritize your safety by researching local safety tips, registering with your embassy or consulate, sharing your itinerary with family or friends, and staying vigilant in unfamiliar surroundings. Use secure locks for your belongings and avoid carrying valuables unnecessarily.
Final Thoughts
Packing like a pro for your study abroad experience involves thoughtful planning, research, and organization. By considering the essentials outlined above and tailoring your packing list to suit your destination and personal needs, you'll be well-prepared to embark on a memorable and rewarding journey of learning, exploration, and growth. Bon voyage!

Prague: The First Few Days of Czech-ing Out the City
Hello everybody!
I still don’t know how to say ‘hi’ in Czech… we’re working on it.
My name is Rachit Khandelwal, a junior studying computer science, and I’ll be one of your bloggers for the IFSA IPE Tech Accelerator program in Prague. You’ll find my tone in the future to be pretty blunt and conversational, trying to give you the real deal on wherever I go and whatever I see. Over the course of the next few months, I'm planning on taking you along my journey where I hope you immerse myself in a brand new culture and overall, just live more in the moment. We often forget to make everyday a highlight will at Michigan with all the schoolwork and external stress but in Prague, I hope to take my life back off autopilot and explore as much as I can. Along the way, if I make lifelong memories, learn a new language, eat some fire food, and explore. bunch of new countries, I can't complain.
It's been a whirlwind of a few days since I landed in Prague, and boy, do I have stories to tell! Let's dive right into the rollercoaster that has been my initial encounter with this stunning city.
The Jet-Setter's Journey
My trip to Prague was a classic mix of excitement and the usual travel hiccups. After a long flight, which I spent mostly trying to contort into a semi-comfortable position, I had a stop in Paris, which sounds cool, until you realize you’re waiting there for 4 hours. When I finally touched down in Prague. I felt like a character in a spy movie, navigating through a place trying to read a language I barely understood.
Weather Whiplash
The weather greeted me with a brisk, refreshing air – around the same temperature I left behind. The setting however, is a refreshing change, though, seeing people bundled up in coats, scarves fluttering in the wind, against a backdrop of historic buildings.
The Gastronomic Gambit
Ah, the food! My first meal was at a Kebab restaurant near my dorms. For some reason, every street has a Kebab place… don’t ask me why. Oh and let’s not forget the pastries for dessert – Trdelník might just become a staple in my diet. People did say that Prague was a pretty cheap destination for food, but so far, it’s lowkey as expensive as the US. The kebab ran me back like 10 bucks and the dessert ran me 6. Not complaining because it’s still relatively cheap but the way people were describing Prague, they said I’d be living like a king here.
The SIM Card Saga
Connecting to the world here was... interesting. The quest for a SIM card was a mix of charades and guesswork. It was a little confusing on what to exactly do even after getting help from the advisors. Eventually, through a combination of broken Czech and hand signals (on my part) and English (on theirs), I emerged victorious, phone connected to the Czech network.
Unpacking Adventures
Unpacking was like reliving packing, but in reverse. I've managed to transform my room from ‘luggage explosion’ to ‘organized chaos’. My sneakers have found their temporary home, and my dirty clothes have found the floor (yes, I forgot to bring any type of laundry bag. Add it to the list of random stuff I have to buy).
Orientation Odyssey
Orientation was a blur of faces, names, and a whirlwind tour of the campus. I’ve learned two key things: where the restaurants are (priorities!) and that my sense of direction needs some serious work. I foresee a few accidental detours in my future.
The Social Scene
Meeting my fellow students has been a highlight. Everyone’s in the same boat – excited, a bit overwhelmed, but ready to dive into this experience. We’ve already made plans to explore the city together and have even started making plans to go to other countries, and I have a feeling some lifelong friendships are on the horizon.
So, there you have it – my first few days in Prague have been nothing short of an adventure. Stay tuned as I continue to navigate this beautiful city, from the cobbled streets to the classroom, and everything in between. And just to treat y’all, I’m throwing some photos for you to look at Prague through the eyes of my camera.
^ Yes, this is a real photo. I can't believe it either.
^ Breakfast at our orientation.
^ This is the hallway outside of classrooms.
Catch you in the next update,
Rachit Khandelwal

Tag Game
Thanks @nyoxt fo tagging me
Last Song you listened to: Ah The Rankin Family, showing off that my musical tastes have not changed since I was a small bean.
youtube
Last Movie you watched: The House of Usher, I've been on a Vincent Price kick lately so I've been watching his movies.
Currently Watching: A friend doing a horror stream on twitch because I'm supportive and also because it's funny when he cusses me out for eating cookies while he suffers. (they're seasonal gingerbread cookies)
Other Things I've Watched this Year: Spiderverse, House on Haunted Hill, The Raven, The Great Mouse Detective, House of Wax. Like I said I've been watching Vincent Price movies, and also just my friends twitch streams.
Currently Reading: Scarlet by Genevieve Cogman. The Scarlet Pimpernel but the French Aristocrats he's saving are Vampires. I love Genevieve Cogmans books because they're fun, funny, and while the premises might be a bit goofy she does put a lot of thought into them and they end up a lot deeper than you expect unless you've read them before.
Currently listening to : I also don't listen to podcasts. If it's about music I have a Shanties and Such playlist that I don't think will surprise anyone who has seen me answer these things or knows me in real life.
Currently Working on: Christmas Scarves so lots of knitting right now.
Current Obsession: Scarlet, Baldurs Gate 3, Shadowrun Hong Kong, Skyrim, The Sims 4. Scarlet is in the lead because it just got delivered yesterday and I have been waiting a year to read this so it jumped the queue.
I'm Tagging: @sorcerous-kitty
