Working on a beach lot, Snapdragon Beach, for Oasis Flats. It's not perfect but it took a lot of fiddling with editing the terrain with the cheat and then playing with the terrain on lot. Putting the rocks and plants helped make it look better though!

Welcome to Pleasantown !

People move to Pleasantown hoping to find peace and tranquility... and not knowing about the nice mess they just got themselves into. Rivalries, tension and strange events are a common sight in this town... is it true that aliens live among us? Did people really go missing? Can anything be done to get the neighborhood feeling good again, or will the drama drive all the inhabitants away?

This was inspired by a post by @budgieflitter and I thought the idea was super cool. I added some townies, gave the lots a refresh, and here we are. Our favorite Sims from Strangetown, in an alternate timeline where they live in the Pleasantview setting and their lives took an entirely different direction. The only big difference between Budgie's Pleasantown and mine is that Ajay is deceased in this hood ; I tried to make the rest as faithful to their post as possible.

 INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS : • For the main hood, copy the PLST folder to your [Your Name] / Documents / EA GAMES / The Sims 2 / Neighborhoods folder. • For the subhood, copy the SPST folder to your C: / Program Files (x86) / EA GAMES / The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection / Best of Business / EP3 / TSData / Res / NeighborhoodTemplate folder. You will have to add it to your primary neighborhood as a business district.

The hood has seven playable families, all the townies from Maxis Strangetown and the NPCs from the DS game. I rebuilt the Pink Flamingo with some pics I found as a reference, and it is owned by none other than Hoot Howell ! Yup, he's there.

The hood also comes with a French version, for those whose game is in that language (j'ai pensé à vous les mecs, j'ai même fait l'effort de faire des jeux de mots pourris avec les noms des ex-maris d'Olivia Chimère, ce que la VF originale n'avait pas fait).

Pelican Town Hood - Download

UPDATE: There is now a cc-free version available for download!

UPDATE: Version 1.2 is out and contains some minor fixes like adding missing storytelling images and fixing surnames.

It's finally here! This is a recreation of Pelican Town from Stardew Valley as a custom Sims 2 neighborhood. It contains:

17 playable lots/families

7 bin families

14 community lots

5 custom townies (+ Leo in the adoption pool)

6 stray animals inspired by the cats and dogs you can choose in SDV

All buildings and Sims are supposed to resemble their SDV counterparts as much as possible. I am definitely more comfortable with building than with CAS, so feel free to give the Sims makeovers ^^ All sims have custom memories, relationships, skills, bios, family photos etc.

All EPs and SPs are required! Keep in mind that this is by no means a CC-free hood. I have included all of the CC with the download, see the attached README for more information. I might make a CC-free version one day if anyone's interested, but that's a pretty big might! I am using default replacements in the screenshots, these are not included in the download.

If you decide to play the hood, be sure to let me know about any problems or feedback you might have. I am super excited to see what you all do with it. This is the first time I created and shared a custom neighborhood for TS2, so I hope everything is working properly.

Full disclosure, I experienced some pink soup issues during playtesting :( They were usually resolved by exiting and re-entering the lot. I don't know if it is caused by my system or this particular neighborhood, maybe it's the amount of trees? Anyway, let me know if you encounter any similar issues.

Thanks y'all for showing interest in this project and encouraging me to finish the hood! I started this back in March 2022 and was done building a long time ago, but setting up all the SimPE stuff took much longer than expected. I had loads of fun though!

Since tumblr will not let me put enough images into one post, I'm going to make seperate posts with more info about the lots and families. Or you can check out the download and see for yourself :) Happy Simming!

a Mid-Century Florida-Style Unpopulated Neighborhood my utopiazed TS2 version of the real life Spring Hill which was developed by Mackle Brothers/Deltona Corp in the '60's Isn't it time your sims moved to Florida? ...with minimal CC!

I spent my formative years - ages 8 through 18 - in a place called Spring Hill, Florida. At that time it was just a "place" ...not yet incorporated into a town, with dirt roads if you veered too far off the main boulevard. It had one school (K-8th,) one small grocery, and one gas station with a convenience store - oh, thank Heaven! The whole development was designed as a "retirement" community, meant to entice New Yorkers to buy their Florida-dream-opportunity sight unseen, and move down to the land of eternal sunshine. (And many did!)

Sameville has a total of 93 included lots. 63 are residential lots - one of which is an apartment/trailer park. There is also a cemetery. And there are 23 commercial/community lots. (Plus 6 designated "empty" lots - 4 residential, and 2 commercial.)

Just like the RL Spring Hill was when I moved there in 1974, there is a lot of room to expand this neighborhood. The "city" area is just made up of hood deco buildings and there are many beach lots awaiting your personal builds. Please customize the hood however you want!

Every lot is a clean copy; no sim has ever been in this hood. Each lot was cleaned and compressed with Chris Hatch's Lot Compressor. Everything has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer. And run through her Hood Checker.

⛵Coal Harbor, port of Hawara⛵

Hello!

I have long wanted to make a port using CC that I have hidden there. So I spent an entire afternoon letting go of my imagination, and after a while I ended up creating the port, which I named "Coal Harbor", I tried to create it with a Caribbean and summer theme 🌴.

Coal Harbor is located in a natural channel that empties into the sea. The port allows docking of various types of ships; such as tourists, cargo, boats, among others 🚢.

Coal Harbor has restaurants, cafes, shops, markets that are available from morning until night, making the walk through the port pleasant and enjoyable 🌞.

One of the most unique moments of the port is at night, where the lights and stars make the moment in Coal Harbor special 🌟.

Welcome to Diphylleia, your new populated neighborhood!

Diphylleia is a neighborhood formed by two large islands connected by a bridge. One island is more residential, which the majority of the population lives and has a few community lots. The other island is where only the richest families lives and has most of the community lots. Both have beach lots.

✿ Neighborhood Info:

This neighborhood requires all EPs & SPs or Ultimate Collection. It also does not needs a camera mod, you can see all lots in the vanilla game. All lots are compressed with Mootilda's LotCompressor.

This neighborhood comes in three versions: a Normal one, a No CC one and an Empty one. The Normal version needs custom content, and is avaiable in ModTheSims. Both Normal and No CC uses the NID "LEIA", the Empty version uses the NID "LEI4", so you can have a populated version and a no populated at the same time!

✿ Installation guide:

Once you download the version you wish of the neighborhood, you will extract the .zip file and put the LEIA folder (or LEI4 folder) into "Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Neighborhoods". There is an English and Brazilian Portuguese instructions file in the .zip.

✿ Main Story:

The Aurora family, founders of the neighborhood, live on the richest island. (...) The election day is set and Charlotte, Aurora's oldest daughter, got elected as mayor! In the celebration party, someone unexpected came… It was Elisa, Charlotte's evil sister, who decided to return home just to ruin her sister government. During the party, Elisa met Nicolas, the son of Christtoper Walls, the richest men in Diphylleia. She had an affair with Christtopher but since he is far away from Diphylleia, she feels somehow attracted to Nicolas… After all, he looks a lot like his father… Well, Elisa just does not know that Christtopher never left. (...) Can Zuri Okanlawon, a sucessful journalist, catch this love triangle and ruin Charlotte's image - as Elisa wishes?

Stardew Valley Neighborhood Project

So, here's my first post on this blog. Over the past year, I've been having lots of fun recreating Stardew Valley's Pelican Town as a custom hood in The Sims 2. I figured it was about time to finally create a Simblr for sharing my progress.

This Valentine's Day, I've been sharing the love with my sims and their world. I'd like to share the latest part of that worldbuilding project with my simblr friends (who I also appreciate deeply.)

Welcome to Kettlehaven, home to the first seven households I've made. This is where the Pollen household now resides, as well as several completely new sims, and some crossovers from roleplays, premades and forays into TS3.

Kettlehaven is the site of the only walled community within the Lake Lulla region: the Healing Gardens, established as a place for those who need help with their journeys of recovery. The Gardens' resident healers, Qusul and Equinox Pollen (yes, my simself) have built on the knowledge of legendary Nuidya herbalist Serendipity Herendez zan-Carmela, brewing a variety of remedies for grief, stress, and occasionally the after-effects of possession. This is totally where the village's name comes from. Not line of sight in the kitchen, not at all.

I've spent a few days tinkering with the hood deco, and again, I'm very pleased with the atmosphere I've managed to create. Tomorrow, I might be posting intros to the other six families - watch this space!
