I put together a very small protection bundle, just a small vial of black salt & an amethyst, because one of our finance managers at work asked me if an amethyst would help her with protection. I gave her black salt for protection and and chevron amethyst because it's neat and if she's called to the stone then maybe it's the one she's meant to have right now.
When I gave it to her I told her how to make black salt for her own protective uses.
The theory of this is, since the little vial of black salt I gave her is simply corked, and not sealed, it can be uncorked, so it can kind of meander with the space she's in, absorbing & banishing any already existing negative energy while also rebuffing/repelling any new negative energy that would try to come into the space. It's as simple as "shake then uncork the jar to enact spell" type of cleansing.
To be fair, the vial I gave her is maybe less than an inch tall, it's a tiny thing, but she also now knows how to make her own black salt if she feels the need for more.
I really am the Work Witch.

Absolutely nothing fancy as I'm a firm believer in not over complicating things. But like all of us, I'm in need of some financial boosting after my vehicle unexpectedly bit the dust. I'm in the process of weighing out my new-used vehicle options and seeing what works best with my current finances, but a little extra cash couldn't hurt at the end of the day.

As a college student, finding new ways to do spells has been both interesting, and a pain in the ass. I'm on campus, so that means no candles/ smoke cleansings, as well as avoiding sound/ bells in workings (unless I feel like being an asshole). No stove in the room either, so simmer pots are a thing of the past.
Because of all of this, my forms of witchy work has turned to a more "creative" approach.
Want to banish something? write the petition and flush it down your toilet. Need to cleanse your space? time to do it the old fashioned way and sweep the floors after dusting it with the salt packet at the bottom of your drawer.
Find magic in everything you can: reading for a lit assignment and find a quote that's raw af? use it. Draw sigils on posters! Chalk pen your micro fridge! Drink coffee!

For the record, the universe is often sassy as fuck.
(Universe, or your spiritual team, or happenstance, or whatever you like to call it)
For instance, just tried to stir the intention of getting better at communicating with a specific person into my tea, as you do.
The same person texted me not three minutes later.
Careful what you wish for an all that, because life will respond, and it’ll do so while laughing at you.

Simple spell: a penny for good luck
Tumblr media
Photo by pina messina on Unsplash   ☽🔮☾🕯🃏🌕🕸✨🍃🍄🧿🌙✩
Everybody knows the rhyme “see a penny, pick it up and all day you’ll have good luck”. It is so popular that different variations of it have spread across different countries (even those that don’t speak English!) and different superstitions have become associated with it: if the penny is face up, you’ll be lucky for a week, but if the penny is face down you’ll be lucky for only a day, or you must turn it face up for the next person that comes by... Even in countries where the rhyme doesn’t work the superstition still holds: in Spain, where I come from, it was considered good luck to pick up the coins we encountered by chance in the floor, and stealing coins from a lucky fountain or any other place where coins were left for good luck was considered a big no-no: you’d potentially be stealing somebody else’s luck, and bringing bad luck your way in return! It is impossible to pinpoint where this tradition comes from: some say it might be from the days where metal was considered a gift from the Gods, and to find a penny laying around meant they’d decided to bless you with wealth (and therefore, ignoring it meant refusing any blessings or fortune that might be sent your way). It is also believed that the idea might come from an ancient pagan spell that used pins instead of pennies, but that the association with metal stuck.  (Find the source here: https://spirit-esoterica.com/blogs/it-s-a-kinda-magick/a-penny-for-luck) Some others say it might come from an old Roma spell: it is mentioned here (https://www.spellsofmagic.com/spells/wealth_spells/money_spells/19760/page.html) and here (https://magic-spells-and-potions.com/simple_luck_spell_penny_for_luck.htm). There is also the belief that since pennies are made out of metal, which fairies hate, picking up a penny in the street will simply prevent bad luck and make any fairies that want to mess around with you reconsider. The version of the spell I was taught is a little different from the ones I mentioned before. While most spells will have you throw the lucky penny in a fountain, well or leave it somewhere for the fairies the version I was taught has you leave it in a spot that is easy to find: according to the law of threes, what you do unto other comes back threefold, so if you leave a lucky penny for others to find you’ll make them luckier and become 3 times luckier yourself! What you need:  A penny or any other small denomination coin available in your country. Get the penny from your pocket, hold it in your hand and put it to your heart. Concentrate and visualize lucky, fortunate things coming your way. This might involve financial wealth, passing an exam, finding a new job or any other thing you might consider lucky. Raise your intention and energy, and transmit it to the penny: a good way to do so is to imagine it becoming more golden and shiny. When you feel like your penny is sufficiently charged, raise it to your Third Eye (the spot in your forehead between your eyebrows) and say “A penny for good luck!”. Kiss the hand that holds the penny to seal the spell. “Drop” or leave the penny in any place where it is likely somebody else will find it: on the sidewalk, in the park, on a bench... when somebody picks it up luck will come your way, and threefold luck will come to you in return. Let’s Talk About: Preparing for the New Year
With December here, I’ve been feeling very contemplative about what sort of goals and intentions I have for 2023 and I thought I’d share some of the ways you can prepare.
Prepare? Why? I’m not big on resolutions.
Shifts are happening all the time but I feel there are profound shifts at the start of a new year (collective) and at your birthday (personal). The energy of being able to seize change is heightened at this time because it’s a fresh start! Plus collectively many people make changes at the New Year and so there is collective energy helping manifest change as well. That’s why it feels more meh in February when many people stop putting energy into their goals.
Fine. So how do you prepare?
First, I look back on the reflection I wrote at the start of the year and compare where I wanted/thought I’d be to where I am now. If you didn’t write anything down, try to think back to the beginning of this year and where you were mentally, physically, and spiritually. I think about why certain things didn’t happen the way I thought and evaluate if that makes me feel good or bad. At the beginning of this year I thought I would be moving closer to my family, lol. And I moved further away, but this isn’t bad for me. Just shows how much my perspective has shifted this year and I did spend more time with them this year than usual. I usually also review my reflection from my birthday.
Now what?
Once you’ve reflected about the journey you’ve made this past year, begin thinking of changes you want to make. It’s December so it’s the last month to finish up any goals you set for this year as well as a chance to start working to release anything you don’t want to bring with you in 2023. It’s the perfect time to finish your to do list and to take action on the things you’ve been putting off. Identify what is no longer serving you and how you can move on from this. Give yourself the rest of the month to think about what you really want, really examine it and put thought and energy behind this because it’s a manifestation tool and it will help guide you throughout the next year.
Okay.
On December 31, it’s time to write down your reflection. You look back at the larger themes of the past year and write down your joys and disappointments. Themes like joy, or career. What was the main thing you spent your energy on this year? What was the main lesson you learned? What are you bringing with you into the New Year? Start to envision the version of you you are trying to become and write down who that person is, what do they do (goals), what you want to accomplish to propel yourself forward. Sometimes I like to do a clearing meditation or sage my space and then go to bed.
Manifestation Ideas:
- If one of your goals is more financial security write about what the security would provide you, is it freedom? Just asking for money isn’t specific, why do you want money, how will you use it. What does life with that security look like?
- When I’ve done manifestations for things like money, joy or love, I would burn palo santo and use the charred end to draw a symbol on something and I would set the money (I used a $100 bill) on it, along with my crystals, light a candle or incense, and just honestly talk to spirit about money and my finances and what I want and why, what around money I wanted to heal. Then I would close my eyes and focus and repeat please bring me abundance, until I felt it was time to stop.
- To really bring in fresh energy consider cleaning your space deeply leading up to the new year (a few days before for example) and even opening up the window to let fresh air circulate. Clean your car or other places you inhabit, maybe your area at work.
- Be sure to take a magic bath to cleanse your energy on the 31st! By magic I mean adding salts and other things that make you feel good. For my magic baths I’d light a few candles, use epson salt bubble bath and just soak for as long as I wanted. I’d turn out all the lights and listen to Frank Sinatra or something spiritual and just allow myself to do nothing. This allows you to sit in your own energy and can really bring you back to center.
- Also if you are really stagnant and desiring change, getting rid of stuff like clothes, things you don’t need anymore, etc., can really be freeing and create space for the newness you want to bring towards you. You need to make physical, mental and spiritual space for it to come.
2022 was a year of change for many, including myself. I knew 2022 was bringing hella magic and change to my life and felt it for months leading up to the year. 2023 has kinda taken me by surprise as it’s energy isn’t as strong as 2022 was for me, 2023 feels like it will be a continuation of forward momentum. What does 2023 feel like for you?

Kitchen Staples and Their Properties
If you're any kind of kitchen user, there are a few things that are usually present. Things like bread, cheese, beans, and vinegar are all things that many kitchens keep in stock. So, here is a list of some staples you may have in your kitchen, and what they mean.
Bread: health, abundance, the hearth, kindship
Beans: wisdom in choices, luck, money, divination, prosperity
Butter: peace, friendships/relationships, spirituality
Cheese: goal completion, happiness, moon magic, health
Eggs: feminine/goddess magic, fertility, mysticism
Honey: joy, love, sex, wisdom, lust, purification, health
Milk (Cow's): feminine parenthood/guidance, love, sustenance, spirituality,
Rice: fertility, protection, luck, money, growth
Salt: purification, protection, grounding, cleansing
Sugar: banishing negativity, love, affection, invoking kindness/sweetness
White Vinegar: cleansing, purification, protection
Adding some things together melds their properties! Cooking in butter for your friends can strengthen your relationships with them, and baking bread can bring abundance into your home.
As always, do your research, practice safely, and blessed be!

Nope Out Spell
💀🎃 SIMPLE SPELLS FOR SPOOKY SEASON 🎃💀
So that glamour spell went too well, spooky season got too spooky, and it's time to hit the eject button. No problem.
Go anywhere private (bathroom stall will do) and focus on the spell that you cast. Recall the moment that you cast the spell as clearly as possible.
Say, think, or sign:
I revoke you, I rebuke you I erase you, I undo you Whatever was raised is put back into earth Whatever I called goes home I undo you, I erase you I rebuke you, I revoke you That old path is undone That old spell is no more As I will it, so shall it be
Observe, believe, feel, understand, or know that you've sent a CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION notice to that spell.
It's probably going to take a little bit for the effects to fade, and I recommend you do anything that makes you feel really grounded, nonspooky, and feeling like yourself.
If you're really having a bad time and you need to knock it up a notch, take a shower and observe, believe, feel, understand, or know that the grounding, normal water is washing off any last trace of spooky stuff and washing it down the drain.

used to, ghost would always sleep on his side facing the door with his back almost pressed to the wall. in a room where the bed isn't in the corner? he'd either move the bed or sleep on the floor in the corner.
it doesn't take long for soap to figure out his lieutenant's sleep pattern and does his best to quietly help. the first time they have to share a bed (obvi before they're together cause this is fanfic, how else would it go) neither is really sure what to do.
the bed is in the corner, but during the typical "who takes the bed, alright fine we both will" argument, they come to an impasse. neither will let the other take the floor nor do they know the best way for both to be on the bed. either ghost has someone in the way of him and the door, or has someone at his back that he can't see.
they do eventually land on (without discussion bc ghost is a prideful bastard) soap taking the wall side, but ghost is still nervous. he surprises himself by being much more comfortable than he thought he would, it feeling less like there's a stranger right behind him and more like soap is watching his back for him, even though he knows soap is asleep. ghost himself doesn't really sleep, but that is to be expected.
something something they get together and ghost realizes he's most comfortable knowing soap is there, not to protect him cause he's still to prideful for that, but to help watch his blind spot without having to push himself against the wall.
(also ghost likes being the little spoon. hmm? what? who said that...)

During Wilbur's stream today, Tallulah was killed by a mob, and before he could revive her, Wilbur was also killed.
He was able to respawn and revive her BARELY in the nick of time (so she lost no lives), but I need you all to see Roier's POV of the event because the second he saw Tallulah go down (and then Wilbur go down right after, meaning there was no one there to revive Tallulah), he sprinted across the map as fast as he could to get there in time to save her.
