Because I'm curious about this...

A reminder that these are fanon ships, hence why Katt (Matt x Kristy) is not among the choices and I wanted to know who you would ship Matt with aside from him and Kristy since people always used his marriage as an excuse to not ship him with anyone, even though that hasn't stopped them from shipping Hotch and JJ with other people despite the two characters having spouses in the show (even if the former was divorced and later widowed). As well as Morgan, though he was shipped with Reid and or Garcia prior to eventually marrying Savannah in the show.

You don't have to ship either of these pairings, you can simply choose the one you find the most interesting

In the episode when Spencer is in the Mexican prison and Clara and Matt show up you can visibly see Matt upset over the state that Spencer is in

When he goes to greet Spence he looks like he wants to hug him but decides against it

The way when Spence rambles and everyone is like 🙄 but Matt almost always looks like he's genuinely interested

I don't ACTUALLY ship it but I'm soft for them

I see it as Matt found Spence as a substantial replacement for his baby brother, Monty
