The hot summer sun cast a warm glow over the privileged patrons of the Sunset Valley Country Club. The Darling sisters, growing like weeds every day, splashed in the pool, blissfully unaware of the silent disapproval of onlookers.

Morgana Wolff gazed with adoration, as the heavily pregnant Agnes Darling basked in the warm rays of the sun. "Goodness Agnes, you're just glowing." She admired.

"Oh, quit it, you!" Agnes scoffed.

"No, I mean it!" Morgana added. "Your complexion looks flawless, and that hair of yours is so shiny and bouncy. Must be those vitamins you've been taking."

Agnes's mind flashed back to a memory of some old wives' tale Bianca Crumplebottom had shared with her the last time the Crumplebottom Sisters paid a visit:

"Blossoming in the bottom of the belly, a daughter spends her time mimicking her mother's actions, and thieving her of her divine beauty. Yet, a son nestled within, enchants his mother with radiant grace."

"Well it's because I'm having a boy, if you believe in nonsense." Agnes replied with an irritable eyeroll.

"That's absurd, darling. You were gorgeous through all your pregnancies." She grinned. Morgana had always been a loyal friend to Agnes, but it was when Agnes was with child, that a particular instinct within Morgana kicked in. She protected Agnes fiercely, especially during the day when Erik was away at work, faithfully concealing her own longing for the maternal bliss Agnes experienced.

Agnes dismissed the old wives' tales as archaic and superstitious. The gender of her child held no importance to her; life had already given her everything she could ever want.

As anticipation grew, Agnes delved into nesting, transforming her makeshift painting studio and home office into a charming little nursery adorned with sunny shades of yellow.

There were various reactions elicited upon announcing the impending arrival of the third Darling child, though the predominant sentiments were ones of joy and support.

...Mostly. With Agnes and Erik dedicating so much of their time to preparing for the new baby, the soon-to-be Darling middle child was left to her own devices, seeking life-long attention from the lurking shadows of her mind...

Reintroducing the kids so far. Baby #1 was a boy named Jack. He has long since moved out. His parents are Lauren Hawthorne and Eric Lewis. He’s currently beefing with Victoria for some reason. Also he got kicked out of drama club.

Baby #2 is Victoria. She just became a young adult and is about to move out. Her parents are Lauren Hawthorne and Thorne Bailey. She was an incredibly moody teenager. Formerly besties with Jack.

Baby #3 was Callum! He just became a teenager. His parents are Lauren Hawthorne and Kieran Donnelly. Callum is a very goofy guy. Always joking around. Sweetest sim in the house.

Baby #4 is Joy! She is currently the only child in the household. Her parents are Lauren Hawthorne and Clement Frost. She has ketchup red hair and I’m not sure why. Can usually be found talking to Callum.

Baby #5 and the oldest of our twin girls is Agnes! She’s going to age up into a child tomorrow for the sake of my sanity. Daughter of Lauren Hawthorne and Mortimer Goth. Perpetually dirty.

And our current youngest is baby #6! This is Gwendolyn! She is Agnes’ twin sister. Will be aging up with Agnes tomorrow. Her parents are also Lauren Hawthorne and Mortimer Goth. She’s also perpetually filthy and angry.

Aradelle Maamtrasna

Part of the 6th generation of my legacy, Aradelle is the oldest daughter of Greenberry and Gwendolyn. She wasn't close to her grandmother, but was often told by people that she looked more like Sabine's daughter than Gwendolyn's.

The Dredger Legacy

I finally loaded back into my Dredger Legacy for the first time in forever...and proceeded to ruin their lives. There was just too many sims in the household and I said maybe Atti should go for a dip! ...in the pond. simsie style.

It took her, no joke, 4 sims hours to show the sadness buff as the top buff. like all im saying is maybe she might have a cowplant accident soon? 

Everyone was pretty all around depressed. The twins (who apparently aged up last save) consoled each other and i missed it. Millie chose to do some yoga. Dad (Zion) threw himself into work and went into the office on his day off. His boss must have been impressed...or depressed...by this and gave Zion that last promotion. Congratulations Zion! You’re a Hall of Famer. 

Gen 3 Heir, Cass, tried to be the top tier scout that he is, and bravely went to the science center to work on his last remaining badge. His birthday is in 2 days and he is committed to achieving his goals in honor of his brother. Unfortunately, all his close friends have already aged up and are busy with their careers. Atti was his closest friend, and Cass just didnt want to be alone. He ended up sending a sad text to a girl in his club, even though he didnt really know her at all. Her name is Gwendolyn Griffiths and she looked kinda cute in the club directory- so we thought- what could go wrong? Shockingly, she invited us over for some comfort and NYE celebrations.

Somewhere along the night, Gwen started really vibing with us. Like really vibing. Cass couldnt help but notice her flirty tone and realized just how pretty she is. He took a selfie so he can show off how pretty she is. Aren’t they the cutest!!!! 

We are still just too sad to make a move, but we wanted her to know we were interested. We gave her a romantic gift from our frog collection and Gwen loved it! Romance bar has got some pink in there! Cas went to bed with a little more hope. 

The new girl’s name is Gwendolyn Griffiths. Everything about this family was weird. They live in the goth house? Her dad is not in the picture, and i finally figured out that she is the granddaughter of Cassandra Goth thanks to cassi’s ghostie showing up.

Anyway, she lives with her mom, teen sister, twin child brothers, and littlest brother. They all have the whiteness of the Targaryens...Gwen here has a skin tone a little darker than her mysterious family. {She also generated with the MSQSIMS Asperger trait and a striped shirt and I was a weenie about it}

She generated with a base game hair that i’m sorry i just didnt vibe with. and her and her sister’s eyebrows were a mess. other than that i didnt change her appearance for the above pic. I did add eyelashes cuz, lashes. 

^ this was the outfit she populated with. my heart just cant take it. i stan a neurodivergent queen. I kept this one and added one with some overalls because she is in Cass’s Frog hunting club. 

i am in actual love. Gwen Griffiths, you definitely got me excited to play this legacy again!

LOL. Luckily for these “Amish,” I modded out neighborhood-view traffic in my main playing user account because it bugs me. So, no mysterious lights randomly zipping around the area.

Those winding roads look reallllly nice!

It’s a really nice set. Easy to place (not too fiddly, like I find a lot of small neighborhood deco to be), a good number of shapes to mix and match, AND they don’t float when viewed in lot view. Kudos to Criquette! :)  I kind of went all zen when I was “building” the roads. It was quite meditative and it was fun to create the shapes. I’m looking forward to building the “road network” as the neighborhood grows.

Maybe she's looking into the past. :P I don't know what the criteria for the Spy On Guy is. Mine starts as the first sim to move into the 'hood, or the oldest one. Sometimes is changes before that sim is dead to one I've played more (with more memories/relationships? or maybe that reputation thing has something to do with it, idk)

Now that’d be a neat trick! Yet it also makes an odd kind of sense. Whenever a telescope is used to look at objects many light-years away in space, it’s seeing that thing as it was dozens or hundreds or thousands or millions of years ago, after all. Doesn’t quite work the same way when you’re just spying on your neighbors, of course, but...Details. Don’t bother me with details. :)

In any case, I think the Spy On Guy is determined by instance number, meaning the playable that was created first in the neighborhood is The One, initially. Which is why it’s always Mortimer Goth when you play Pleasantview or any subhood attached to it. For this neighborhood, since it has no premades, it was Goopy, who was a clone of the original townie. From there, I don’t know how the game determines who the next one will be. If it just goes down the list in order... Sandy was the second playable created, but she’s dead, too. Steven was the next...also dead. After that, it was Gwendolyn, so it SHOULD be her being spied on, but...apparently not!

They normally do. In Drama Acres it was Peter Ottomas, but now that he and Sam are dead it's David. That's weird.

Yeah, after giving it further thought, I think it’s just in this neighborhood where it hasn’t switched to someone else. This neighborhood does have its odd quirks. I think it’s because it was originally made on my old Simming computer that got zapped. It does funky things on occasion.

Yup, two. Mardipäev in 10.nov and Kadripäev in 25. nov. They're kinda similar to Halloween, but have key differences. You dress up (as a dark man for Mart, light woman for Kadri), go around the town asking for entrance (in song), then entertain the family and bless their household in exchange for treats.

Ahhhh, so it’s kind of like Christmas caroling, then...which is also a dying/dead thing here in the US. (Sadly. It was one of my favorite things about Xmas when I was growing up. My family and some of their friends and all us kids used to do it as a group every year, and it was so much fun.) It’s cool that you get two occasions to do it!

Oh, and I don't mind teens trick-or-treating. I did as a teen because I didn't want to give up the fun, but they have to be in a proper costume. If they're just going around trying to mooch candy off people - no way! We don't give them any. ;D

I think there should be some kind of generally-accepted age cut-off for trick-or-treating. 14, maybe. After that, go to parties or parades or something in your costume, but leave the door-to-door candy-begging for the younger ones. :) I’ve seen older kids harassing younger ones out on Halloween, and it...irritates me. And I’ve been known to kick bully ass, so...yeah. :)

Here in the Midwest trick-or-treating is very much alive! My family buys a few big bags of candy and we always run out before the night's over. My neighborhood is in a pretty blighted part of the city though it's managed to stay fairly safe and well-maintained so I think a lot of families come from nearby neighborhoods to trick-or-treat in my area! :D

I’m glad to hear it’s still going on there. In the area(s) where I live, it seems most people take their kids to malls to trick-or-treat these days...although since malls are dying, too, I’m not sure what they’ll do. ;) Or maybe it’s just not as big of thing out in the west? I dunno... When I was growing up in northeastern Indiana, it was definitely a thing, even though I lived in less-densely-populated farmland. I never went out, myself, but the local kids generally went into nearby towns, driven in in groups by parents who had trucks/vans/station wagons. But, y’know, that was like 45 years ago, so... :)

It's also creeping its way in France, which is weird because people don't really celebrate it, it's more about the supermarkets trying to sell candies and other stuff like house decorations... On the same way, I just hate that shops are now doing the Black Friday thing, because as I see it it's typically American (the day after Thanksgiving) and it should stay this way. But Autumn is awesome, best season ever !

Ohhhhh, don’t get me started on the commercialization of Christmas. It’s just...so, SO out of alignment with Jesus’s teachings that it makes my heart hurt. The Black Friday thing is just an outgrowth of that cancer, IMO. But I’ll stop there. :) I’m kind of surprised that Halloween isn’t generally celebrated in France, though, in that France was at one time an area populated by Celts, and the Halloween thing of costumes and trick-or-treating does have its roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and its mumming and such...although it, too, has been greatly bastardized and commercialized, of course. Perhaps that’s why it’s not so popular in France. French folks don’t strike me as people who appreciate American-style gross (in many senses of the word) consumerism and commercialization. :P

Coraleye: Yeah! I bet it all changed for her when she saw your handsome little face.

Seymour: It took her some time to warm up to me. Even then the little shit preferred her animals and imaginary friends.

Coraleye: [Smiles] Uncle Bo...

Kirsten: And she wasn't even the one they considered "troubled." Gwendolyn, now that's the one they had to watch out for...

Gwendolyn Darling

Mr. and Mrs. Darling often wondered what kind of personality —if any— Gwendolyn would have developed if it weren't for the invention of the modern television. Her entire demeanor was made up of pieces of tidbits she collected from her time spent in front of the screen.

Despite the children from school finding her rather strange, Gwendolyn navigated social settings with ease. She'd smile like a dazzling silver screen starlet, and crack jokes like a beloved gameshow host.

Persephone Darling

Persephone was a very grumpy and irritable child. often opting to keep to herself due to her crippling social awkwardness. As Seymour explained, her only real friends were creatures with feathers or four legs, as well as those conjured by her imagination. But where she lacked in cheerfulness, she made up for in athleticism and harbored a profound passion for animals. Persephone maintained an active lifestyle and found enjoyment in a variety of sports, spanning from swimming and ball games to the art of ballet.

As Seymour's due date drew closer, a knock on the door followed by the family dog barking madly signaled an unexpected visit from Agnes's nephew, Mortimer—a visit undoubtedly orchestrated by Cornelia. As if he were being forced to recite the offer against his will, Mortimer reluctantly extended his services to babysit the girls, as her days grew busier with a new baby. Agnes appreciated the offer and could've certainly used his help, but she knew well that Mortimer, being a teenage boy, would likely rather be off doing something else, rather than tasked with keeping an eye on his younger cousins.

Agnes remembered back to her sister Cornelia's assertion that Mortimer's best friend, Bella Bachelor, was beginning to "smile at him in a different way now." Struck with a clever idea, Agnes proposed a deal to Mortimer: If he would be willing to babysit the girls and take good care of them during her labor and the early days with the new baby, he could bring Bella along to assist him. Considering his mother didn't allow him and Bella to be alone anymore, Mortimer lit up like a lightbulb, and eagerly accepted. He did request, however, that Agnes not mention Bella's involvement in this arrangement to his mother.

And it sure was lucky the Darlings got a babysitter just in time, for not long after, in the early hours of the morning at 4:27 AM, on All Hallow's Eve, the Darlings welcomed a bouncing baby boy with little babydoll eyes. They held him close, celebrating the first happy birthday of many more to come.

Love Day- Night

Mortimer agreed to babysit his baby cousins for an overnight stay so that Mr. and Mrs. Darling could get some alone time— well, almost alone time. His aunt Agnes would never leave little Seymour with Mortimer, not when he's this little, anyway.

Mortimer was incredibly eager to accompany his best friend Bella Bachelor to the Love Day Ball at School that night. After his parents went to bed, he dutifully tucked the Darling sisters into the oversized bed in the Goth Family vacant guest bedroom, where they'd be merrily snoring away when he and Bella returned from the dance. Or so he thought...

Seated on the staircase in the Goth Family Foyer, a room that Bella Goth had remembered so fondly before she disappeared, Mortimer was softly humming a longing tune that still lingered in his head from the school dance: 'So This Is Love...' he continued to hum, courageously looking her right in the eye.

She blushed wildly and averted her gaze.

"Too bad we couldn't sit outside and enjoy the stars," She mused. "I didn't think it'd be this cold tonight..."

Mortimer gazed deeply into her amber eyes, " The stars don’t shine half as bright as your eyes!"

She giggled, "Mortimer!" "Bella... I wanted to tell-ya... I think I like you lots." "I like you lots too, Morty. I think you're swell. What's the big picture?"

Mortimer's eyes darted quickly at her lips, "Bella, I think I oughta be your fella!" He grinned. "Mortimer, you're a real smooth talker," Bella chuckled, her cheeks flushing slightly. "You must've practiced that one." "You bet I did." She looked up at him, batting her eyes, "I... don't suppose you practiced a first kiss?"

Mortimer's eyes widened, and he froze, his little shadows in the room mimicking his reaction.
