New WIP alert!

Ok so I pretty much completely scrapped my fic A Born Racer except the barebones concept and have redone it. I have no name for it yet but it is going to be a sim racer to formula 1 driver fic, with appearances from a retired driver as a mentor. I'm thinking I'll set it in 2022? I still have to figure a lot out but yeahhhhhhhhh, I'm excited about it :)

Heres a small excerpt i've written for the beginning:

Her heart pounds in her chest, adrenaline surging through her still as she leans back in her chair. The track fades from her view, replaced by the real-world of her sim room. A notification pops up on her screen: “Message Received – Brandon Baldwin” She clicks it open, not expecting much—just another fan message or sponsor query. But this one is different. We’ve been watching you for some time now, and I have to say, your performance today was nothing short of spectacular. We are interested in having a conversation about potential opportunities in a real racing series. Possibly even Formula 1. We believe you have the talent, precision, and racecraft to transition into the real world of motorsport. If you’re interested, please let us know.

Alrighty sooooooo I was thinking about one of my og/non fandom ocs- Roach [Roach is a hellracer/nascar racetrack owner within the swag pits of hell. He's also an engineer, but that's not important atm] B- and thinking about his character background got me interested in making a biker gang OC(?) for that awesome sim, Loveless Biker Boys (p.s u should play it <3).

◂◄Flamin' Biker Boys►▸

▸►Feel the burn! [Background info]◄◂

The Flamin' Biker Boys was a gang originally started by the one and only well known Nascar/Racetrack Murder Derby owner- Verner 'Roach' Hemp: A man who considers his racetrack to be the love of his life.

Though as the years passed, 'Nettie' and Matthias had moved near Roaches racetrack to help Roach manage the murder derby.. Then soon after that two more people joined (who'll be discussed later). Then after seeing the more than exciting beef going between the Loveless Bikers and the Rival Bikers, the group wanted to join in on the supposed violence. Thus the Flamin' Biker Boys were born!

But-.. How'd they come up with that name?.. Well they originally started with Irradiated Biker Boys due to the amount of nuclear waste around the racetrack and because their biker suit colors and uniforms were themed towards being neon green, but soon the radiation had bombarded its way into the derbies underground lounge...and as Roach walked down the concrete slab-like steps to inspect the issue- a sulphuric stench had already knocked it's way into Roaches brain, ridding his current state unconscious.. Though instead of killing him instantly, it mutated each sweat gland and pore within his body to produce a flammable substance- but instead of warning the rest, he was like "come down here so we can set our hair on fire and be cool!!🤓"

I haven't fully thought through the gangs status background so don't judge me(plz).

If you're thinking of joining these bad boys, here's a few things you gotta remember!

Be just a tad bit vehicle smart! (Whether you know a tiny bit or a lot)

Be able to withstand extremely high temperatures and violent conditions when you're on the race track.

Don't complain about the smell.

Please glare at the other biker groups to make yourself look cool!!

▸►IF YOU DO MAKE IT IN◄◂

While I will talk more about what'd each biker would do to welcome you in(due to each of them having special abilities to mutate you), Roach would most likely be the one to woo you into mutating to officially be a member. He'd probably lock you into the old irradiated lounge room to see if you'll survive.

If you do survive, Congrats! You got cool inflamed hair(or your pores can release a deadly gas.. There's actually multiple things you could possibly end up getting, I'm just naming the two most common).

If you don't survive, you're either a melted blob of flesh and bloody goop or you're charred to death.

▸►IF YOU DON'T MAKE IT IN◄◂

If you're wanting to go into a No Murder/Gore route: they'd probably just be like "I'm sorry, but go bother someone else"

If you want to go into a more violent route: there's multiple things that could happen- they burn you, you suffocate to death, you're handed over to the Rival Biker Boys uh... So on so forth.

▸►ABOUT THE BELOVED FLAMIN' RACER BOYS◄◂

☣︎Dante-

A 30 year old, 6'4 god complexed man who still believes that Dice and Jeff are the same person disguised as two.

Dante's the supposed charisma of the group.

His flaims range between a multitude of colors, but mostly stay Highlighter yellow.

☣︎Moth-

A 26 year old, 6'6 eye sewn intelligent man whos IQ is above 200.

His name isn't actually Moth, it's Francis. The only reason why he's called Moth is because he called a wasp a moth and everyone absolutely destroyed his ego about it.

Moths flames usually remain teal or sea foam green.

☣︎Verner 'Roach' Hemp and 'NETTIE' Hemp

I put these two together because you guys already know a bit about them BUTTTT-

Two completely opposite brothers who don't actually hate eachother. Roach being 42 years old and 5'6, while 'NETTIE' is 51 and stands at 7'0.

The funny thing about these two is that Roach owns a Hellracing nascar murder derby while Nettie owns a hefty metal welding warehouse that specializes in creating absolutely screwed up violent vehicle parts.

Roaches his hair is more lava/corium-like than it is at being pure fire, but his magma hair is usually a salmon pink color.

'NETTIE' On the other hand can change the color of his inflamed skull. It was originally a pastel yellow, but he usually switches from a toxic green to a midnight purple.

☣︎Matthias *insert whatever*

A 35 year old, 6'4 man who deems himself the better twin between him and Tobias.

He's one of the racetracks 'enthusiastic' speakers/radio hosts. He specializes in making his own hazmat suits!

Matthias likes to keep his flames a classicorange! Totally not because he likes to mock his brain fried brother, but because he thinks orange actually suits him. (It doesn't, personally the rest see Matthias being a rose gold/dead pink kind of guy).

☣︎DOOBIE THE NEWBIE

An 18 year old, 5'9 man who idolizes the loveless biker boys just a bit too much.

Doobie (real name being: Dud) is a guy who originally sparked his stupid, drug-ridden way up to the top alongside his supposed childhood friend Neon, but instantly turned down Neons suggestion/invitation to join the rivals.

Doobie doesn't have any cool flame hair since he's the newbie, but his real hair is an auburn color.

ITS NOT SILLY DW!!! mysims is a series of games that were made for the wii and ds, and they r so so so important to me bc they were a huge part of my childhood <33 i even have ocs for each one bc they r everything to me. i’ll explain each one quickly under the cut :]

OKAY SO. there’s six games in total: the original is just called mysims, and then there’s mysims kingdom, agents, skyheroes, racing, and party <3

original mysims is an animal crossing kind of deal!! your character (customisable w both name and appearance) is what’s called an essence user - essentially someone who can use various elements around the world in order to build and create things. you’re called by mayor rosalyn to rebuild a town that was abandoned by its previous essence user and is now mostly deserted. the gameplay consists of moving sims in, and completing tasks for them where they ask you to build them things for their homes!! each sim belongs to a different interest group, like the personality groups in ac: there’s fun, cute, spooky, tasty, studious, and geeky. the type of sims you move in will affect what things they ask for (as in, cute sims will ask for things made with cute essences as opposed to spooky ones)

kingdom is similar to the original in that you’re completing tasks for people!! it’s a little more story based though: your character, a pig herder, is encouraged by your friends to apply to be the kingdom’s wandolier, which is pretty much the same concept as an essence user except this time you get a sick ass wand to go with it 💪 when you win the competition, you and your friends are asked by the king to go to island to island and improve morale around the kingdom, helping people with their problems and building things that they need. there’s also a few collection quests which i really like!! throughout the game you’re asked by various characters to collect figurines, flowers, fish, and pieces of armour! my second fave game of the series :]

AGENTS IS MY LOVE ITS MY COMFORT GAME OF ALL TIME. your character is a detective who longs for a real mystery to solve, and you get the chance when you’re hired as a special agent. one of the cases you get is from a woman named evelyn, whose house has been broken into. as you investigate and figure out what was taken, you realise it relates to a man from the first case you solved - when a man named morcubus attempted to steal a girl’s dog, and you proved the dog wasn’t his. through your cases you travel to various places (snowy mountains, industrial city, dinner party in a gothic mansion) and try to discover what morcubus is planning and how evelyn is connected to him. it’s my fave one of the series if you can’t tell 🫶

skyheroes is a piloting/shooter game where your character is found by a rebel group after crashing on a beach and developing amnesia! you join the group that saved you and learn they’re fighting a war against morcubus (he’s everywhere honestly) since he’s taken control of the skies and is now restricting people’s travel and trading. throughout the story you have to get other pilot groups to join your cause and rally against morcubus, while trying to find out who you were, what memories you lost, and how you came to be shot from the sky and crashed on the beach. i rlly love this one but i am yet to fully get through it bc despite enjoying it immensely i suck absolute dick at it

racing is. well. a racing game. it’s similar to simpsons hit and run in a way, with the missions being to drive around collecting things or racing against npcs. the plot is that your character is an aspiring racer, and is learning to properly race in a town called speedville (yeah) which is mostly abandoned since the previous star racer mysteriously left. you enter the championships and begin living your dream as a racer, but are soon met with morcubus (i’m telling you. everywhere) who’s trying to overtake speedville in order to use it for his own company and is attempting to stop you from winning any races so you can’t give speedville its glory back

party is kind of a mario party vibe!! it again begins with having to rebuild a rundown town, but this time you do it through entering festivals and winning at the minigames :] <- going to b real i do not have too much to say abt this one. there’s a character called mc emi who is my best friend ever tho

1. World of Warcraft, unfortunately. Started playing when I was maybe 10, was pretty addicted to it for several years, though have fairly recently pulled away. Guess it was a good distraction growing up, but now it just feels like an addictive money sink, and I'd rather not give Bliz my money.

2. Top Gear Rally for N64, unrelated to the British car show. One of the first games I played, not much to it I suppose, but it was a sort of comfort game for me when I was young. Got me into racing games, being able to paint the cars was neat

3. The Sims 3 (PC). Several games in the series could fall in here, though I feel 3 stood out the most. Love making my OCs for a vague comic concept I'll probably never commit to making. Character creation in general has always been a big deal to me, and the sims allows me to explore that a lot. Plus it was always fun to see what all the little goobers got up to.

4. Kirby Air Ride. Loved playing this with siblings, especially city trial. Hard to list everything I love about the game, there is a lot, though haven't really revisited for a long time. Hard to stay super invested playing alone, and disk would always get too scratched up. Would love a remake or port.

5. Paper Maro: The Thousand Year Door. Spent a lot of time playing this, played through multiple times. Love almost everything about the game, story was pretty good overall. Love and appreciate Vivian, favorite lil trans bean.

Honorable Mentions

Lego Racers (N64). Similar space as TGR for me, though wasn't as much of a comfort game.

Mario Kart: Double Dash. Loved playing through this with my family, probably still my favorite in the series. Lot of these make being stuck to 5 hurt :')

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Was obsessed with the Chao garden, got me interested in Sonic related stuff in general. (Oddly, more interested in their non game stuff.) Liked the story a lot, was fun to play game with siblings.

Kingdom Hearts 2. Played through and liked a lot, spent way too much messing with the gummy ships. Curious about the rest of the series

Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Love in a kinda dumb fun way. Up there in fave racing games. Never managed to beat the campaign, need to revisit sometime.

Dragon Fable: Got pretty invested in this funny lil browser game, along with the other BattleOn! Games, though wasn't much to them and interest waned pretty quick.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. played a fair amount when it released, though became more of an interest years later

Asking about Trooper OCs? I have a few! Most unfortunately, I don't really have art of all my Clone OCs.

I do have a sim-built (rough) concept for Brass in 6 BBY, though:

If you look closely, you can see that I gave him wrinkles and eye crinkles. He's wearing his "I'm now a farmer and it's a bit chilly and wet outside" outfit, including his rain boots.

Some more about my OCs:

Brass (32 BBY—6BBY):

A former Advanced Recon Commando and Clone Lieutenant. He is identified by his simple military-cut, sometimes a five o’clock shadow, and burn scars on his right-hand shoulder, neck and cheek. Post-War, he lives with his wife Obria and her daughter (his adoptive daughter) Nye'a on a remote planet.

Racer (32 BBY—19 BBY):

A clone trooper. He is identified by his high fade, a close-cropped chin-strap beard with a circle-goatee, and an Aurebesh letter “r” on his on his right-side neck, under his ear. He is killed during the fall of the Republic.

Charlie (31 BBY—3 BBY):

A former clone trooper. They are identified by their swept-back pixie cut and small republic-cog under their left eye. They use she/they pronouns and, post-war tend toward feminine gender expression. Brass' adoptive daughter calls them Titi Charlie.

Patch (32 BBY—4 ABY):

A former clone medic. He is identified by his short flat-top hair style, a circle-beard/goatee, a long scar along his right jawline, and a tattoo of a snake wrapped around a stick down the left side of his neck. He is bi/pan. Post war, he and Charlie stick together and hop around from planet to planet trying to keep a low profile. Patch eventually joins the Rebellion.

Point (31 BBY—16 BBY):

A former Advanced Recon Commando and Clone Corporal. He is identified by his short mohawk and undercut and his vitiligo, which includes a shock of white in his hair. Point runs into some trouble with the empire not long after its rise and is killed in a standoff with Stormtroopers.

Click (31 BBY—20 BBY):

An Advanced Recon Commando and Clone Sergeant. He is identified by his stylized buzz-cut (I thought Kix' tattoos were his hair as a kid, and Click's hair is an homage to that misunderstanding) and blast scars on the left-side of his face.

Ok f1 fanfic peeps so I've got two things kinda swirling around in my head as a new fic idea has come to me. Basically it starts in like 2016, a sim racer (a girl who’s had to quit karting/racing around 2013 due to finances) has a chance to go to a race as a guest of one of the teams and ends up meeting one of the older/more experienced drivers, when said reader/oc offers advice about the set up or turns on the track and they ask her how she knows, she tells them that she wanted to race as a kid but didn’t have the financial means so she threw herself into learning just about anything else and now just sim races. older/more experienced driver decides to take her under his wing and helps her through the feeder series and into f1. It will be an eventual love interest of Max but I'm trying to decide which older driver is going to kinda take her under his wing.

[puberty 2.0 - now with spots! X"D After the de-ageing accident Ford aged pretty fast to normal but he has to deal with some side effects… sorry Ford… but hey, on the good side: the clothes almost fits again! So it’s just stuff I think about that could happened in his Portal years without consequences to canon/normal timeline :3 And I like the idea that Ford has meet some of my OCs on his journey. Here it’s Sim again, the ‘alien cat’ from inktober day 4 and 10 in his anthro-form cause why not…

Watching cars 3 kinda makes me wanna write a fic where maybe a younger sim racer or something along those lines has a chance to go to a race and ends up meeting one of the older drivers, when said reader/oc offers advice about the set up or something of a car they ask her how she knows, she tells them that she wanted to actually race as a kid but didn’t have the courage or financial means to try and go further than karting (she was bullied a lot) so she threw herself into learning just about anything else and now just sim races.
