#relief#it is done#new position in new small team (same money meh)#call instead of personal meeting bc home office today and my work laptop´s camera is broken so all that suited me fine#wonder what immediate boss and other colleagues are gonna say (cry panic scoff rage bitch?)#boss is unavailable for another 2 weeks and i have a hunch big boss timed it just so#other colleague who´s supposed to be part of it only returns next year#now how to transfer knowledge of 12 ys to others#i like being an expert in what i do and will probably stay one for some time and help out#so many projects still to prep#anyway#how fast things change out of nowhere#did not ask for this but here we are and it does make some sense ig#workschmork#done for today#ready for the weekend

I was subbing for the fourth grade this week.
Everyday I write a question on the board and they have to answer.
Today was Favorite Friday. Where they get to answer a fun question.
Today's question of choice- Favorite Disney character.
Everyone gave their answers.
Lots of Kylo Ren and Marvel.
Surprisingly a few Hannah Montana's.
Some kid wrote Will Smith.
One of the girls stood there for a moment thinking.
Then wrote my name.
Said I was a warrior or something.
The kids begin to decide if I was a warrior soldier or a warrior princess because apparently they're different...duh!
I jokingly asked "maybe more like the evil queen"
Which was my first mistake.
When, one of my boys not even bothering to look up from his morning work says "y'all are wrong! She's obviously the ugly stepsister."
He stated it like a fact.
I blinked.
Then blinked again.
Surely, I miss heard.
So I asked him what did he say?
He smiles and says "I said you remind me of Cinderella's stepsister!"
I tried to laugh it off, and asked if it's because I'm funny like her.
He thought about it for a few seconds.
Really dug deep and searched for the answer.
And said no it's because I look like one of them.
All the other kids quickly began to agree.
Lots of "OOHHH YEAH! " and "You do!!!"
I think I'm done for the day.
