This affected Sam BAD and caused her to go into a horrible space mental health wise and ultimately caused her to run away

When she got to Canada, she had stolen and exchanged a bunch of her parents money (cus she doesnt care about them and hates them) and bought the absolute cheapest place she could. A two room (kitchen/living/bedroom + sperate bathroom) apartment in Uranium City

She enrolled herself in the local school in a very illegal and fake fashion and took a uniform from lost and found cus ofc she did

She stayed low mostly in school until she met a certain Ukrainian "bad boy", Mischa Bachinski and they became the besties ever

They did most of the stuff she did with her old friend, but this time she was having more fun and felt more free due to not living with her parents and not being in that stupid ass school

Her and Mischa bonded over missing their countries (despite the horribleness Sam faced there, she still misses Ireland a whole heap) and she is the only person who believed Talia is real

Sam ends up in choir because she helped Mischa steal the wine and they sit in the back on Mischa's phone playing games, texting Talia (when they could, yk, timezones), taking dumbass selfies, etc

Mischa helped her become herself a lot more and she loves him like a brother and will kill anyone who speaks against him or hurts him. They both agreed if they ever met eachothers parents it would be on fucking sight

Ocean fucking hates Sam. Cant stand her. She thinks its insane how little she cares about school and is dumbfounded by her punk ideologies (she cant wrap her around head it, shes a little silly <3) She rants to Constance about how she needs to care more and Constance just nods and pretends to listen meanwhile she's in awe of her bravery to be herself and get away from her home.

Noel ends up taking a liking to her because he talks to Mischa sometimes but they dont really interact.

Mischa thinks shes "madwickedawesome" and "the dopest person ever, yo!!" He is the only person who knows about her old friend and the fact she had bad parents, but barely knows the half of it. He encourages her to be who she is and Sam loves him so much, theyre so bestie I cant

Ricky wishes he could talk to her because he also thinks shes pretty cool, but obvously he cant :(( She talks to him sometimes, which he appreciates, but its mostly just complaining about Ocean being annoying in choir when she tells her to get off Mischa's phone

On the day of the accident, her and mischa wander off most of the time, going on some of the rides, but staying off somewhere else most of the time. They come back to ride the cyclone because everyone else is and they both agree rollercoasters are fun.

In the afterlife, she stays talking to Mischa mostly, but begins to talk to Noel and Ricky too.

Her and Ricky end up bonding over cats cus theh both love them, and she hypes him up like crazy after SABM with Mischa

She is infatuated with Jane Doe and thinks shes cool as fuck, even if shes also pretty creepy, and tries to talk to her sometimes

Her song is...something. it starts off with her refusing to sing and Karnak being like "you have to" and begins to force a song onto her. Its chaotic and not at all how Sam wants, being a bit like TSIA.

Sam eventually is like "fine, I'll sing, but Im doing it my way you fucking bitchass machine" and her song is about being conflicted with herself, loving being open about being punk and doing all her illegal stuff, but she loves writing and poetry, something shes never told anyone even Mischa. She sings about feeling like she's always been doomed to be unhappy, always be unsatisfied with her life and missing Ireland despite her horrible life there.

She opens up about her shit parents and her old friend and after her song Mischa gives her a big hug and its cute asf :c

She, after the song, becomes more like her true self and the other choir members are all like "dam shes fucking deep" which she enjoys quite a bit

When you're in University, the biggest happening apart from studies, is partying. You'll find in the dead of a Friday night, every dorm is lit. Fantastical colors, partying teens and adults, just enough to loosen everyone up.

Tonight was a Friday like any other. I'd go to a party, pretend to have fun, then sneak away to the male dorms.

Mina clicked her tongue while watching me strap on my heel. Her skin, dark and beautiful as it was, had been coated in a thick layer of body glitter. She never failed though, to look gorgeous.

"(F/N)! You look breath taking!" She smiled, hugging me. I stumbled a bit in the heels, but stood straight.

Heading to the party was a breeze. Along the way we picked up Momo and Jirou. Momo wore a long black maxi dress, Jirou in her usual pants and band tee. I, however, wore a short dress in hopes of getting taken back to my regular spot at the male dorms.

Upon arrival, we stepped into the- very crowded- dorm complex lobby. Men and women alike were dancing to old hits, congregating perfectly.

It wasn't long before Mina dragged the girls to her friend group of guys, who were always nice, but loud.

When we were pulled there, my eyes shot wide open and the man standing in front of me. Red hair, nearly matching the solo cup in his hand.

He nodded, face becoming flush. We got more comfortable quickly, his hands finding my hips and grinding to the soft beat of the music.

I could feel Kirishima's burning gaze, his red-hot eyes finding my own, burning into me. He scoffed, getting up and walking over to me.

"Denki, what the fuck are you doing?" Kiri screamed, holding his friends shoulder back and forcing him away from me.

I felt the air become tense, "What?" Denki asked, arching a brow.

"Eijiro, what are you doing?" I asked, defensively stepping in front of the frizzled boy on the floor. His eyes met my own, then looked to the floor.

"I'm single, Kiri. I've asked you to change that, you won't. I'll dance with who I want." you spoke, reaching a hand to help Denki up. Kirishima began to walk away, more than furious. He walked out of the dorm completely.

Denki and I headed back to the tables, myself profusely apologizing.

"You all are on a first name basis?" He asked, sipping the drink I had gotten for him. "Yeah, we uh. Are exclusive, I guess. Not official." Denki's eyes widened, almost looking exasperated. "You're the girl! Oh my god, how stupid am I?" He hit himself on the head. I chucked awkwardly, "The girl?"

He nodded, adjusting himself. "Kirishima kept talking about some girl he was 'falling in love' with; but he said he was too scared to commit. He said he wanted to, though." I felt crazy and blind. So dumb.

I shot up, wishing everyone their goodbyes and running to the male dorms.

Once there, I knocked hard on the front of the door. The same man with spicky blonde hair answered. "What the hell do you want?"

"Where is Kiri?" I asked, hoping he'd come home. "His dorm." Good. Quickly I slid past Bakugou, running through the building like a bad woman.

Once at his dorm, I knocked softly. I didn't want to make him more angry than I assumed he was.

I was wrong, though. When the door opened, his eyes were stained with reminisce of tears. My heart felt so heavy, so crushed seeing him like that.

"W-What do you want?" He asked. His voice felt so broken, my tears nearly fell just the same as his.

"Eijiro, let me in, please." I cooed, touching the part of his hand that was out from the door. He then opened it more, allowing me to slide in. Once in, I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck, pulling him close to me.

"Why did you care?" I asked, brushing my fingers through his hair. He only sighed, throwing his head back. "I didn't mean to. It just happened." I nodded against his skin, nuzzling into him.

"Kiri, I have something to tell you." I took his hand, softly looking into his eyes.

He sniffed, looking down at me and gesturing me to proceed. "I love you." He looked shocked, but immediately pulled my head into his chest, softly raking his fingers into my locks. "I love you too, pebble."

I laughed, feeling silly. "And I want you to be my girlfriend. Officially."

I held his waist tighter, smiling against his skin. "Then you're my boyfriend," I spoke, tapping his nose lightly with the tip of my index finger. "-Officially."

Allison’s been awake since three am—that’s a solid six hours more than Lydia’s been awake, three hours before she woke because Allison has been fretting and worrying since the day she was born essentially, and then another three while she’s been in surgery.  She feels a little silly for all her worry, considering it was a completely routine procedure to fix Lydia’s bad knee; she fucked it up their senior year of college, when she was late for an exam because Allison convinced her to go one more round in the shower and so she ended up sprinting up the stairs to her exam room and wiped out on the stairs, landing with all her weight on her right knee.

She’s felt guilty for the last four years, honestly, she has, especially when it was cold and Lydia’s knee ached.  So now, four years after injury and two years after their wedding and about six months after Lydia reinjured said bad knee when she and Allison tried to go the Vegas for their anniversary but ended up battling a couple of harpies, she’s finally getting her knee fixed.  The guilt outweighed the worry a little, enough to keep Allison from pacing the length of the waiting room.

The guilt is mostly gone now though, so it’s the worry that’s reigning, no matter how silly Allison feels for it.  They’re nearing hour four and the doctor had said they’d be finished by that time, at the latest, and her mind is running through all the awful potentials and—

“Take a breath, sweetie,” Melissa says, appearing in the door of the waiting room and flashing Allison a smile.

Allison’s never been one to heed advice, even advice so well-intentioned as that from Melissa McCall.  She stands immediately, wringing her hands and rambling, “You’re here?  You’re here, which is either a really great thing because that means Lydia’s out of surgery or it’s a neutral thing because it’s going to take longer and you came to try and preemptively calm me down and—.”

“Two breaths, then.”  This time, Melissa’s slightly more forceful, but she’s incredibly gentle when she pulls Allison into a hug.  “Lydia did wonderfully,” she assures her when she pulls back, keeping her hands on Allison’s arms and squeezing gently when it seems like the other woman’s about to start rambling again.  “The surgery was completely routine and she’s hanging out in the recovery room as we speak.”

“She is?”  God, Allison sounds ridiculous.  She’s been away from her wife for three whole hours which is, technically speaking, literally nothing in the face of what else they’ve encountered.  But?  Well.  Allison’s rarely been the one that’s sat in the waiting room.

Melissa, actual angel that she is, walks with Allison all the way to the recovery room and, after doing a couple quick checks on Lydia’s vitals, leaves her with a couple of ginger ales and packets of saltines.

“You remember the drill?” she asks, halfway out the door.  

Allison’s been through enough surgeries that the routine is nearly seared into her mind—coming out from under general anesthesia is a real bitch sometimes, a bitch that causes awful, awful nausea that can really only be quelled with time and an abundance of patience.  How many times has Lydia sat at Allison’s side through it?  Too many, probably.

Regardless, Allison nods and waves as Melissa heads out.  It’s a quiet day at the hospital, the first in quite some time—probably due to the minor incantation that Lydia and Stiles worked out to ensure the smoothest possible surgery—so the recovery room is empty, save for the two for the two of them.

Lydia’s still out, though, so Allison settles in, pulls out her phone and starts scrolling through Instagram.

She’s moved onto Twitter and is well on her way to waging all-out war against a former president when she hears a gasp.

Her wife’s eyes are wide as she stares up at Allison, wide and a tiny bit unfocused, but Allison remembers that too.  She slips her phone back into her jacket pocket and starts to smile, starts to greet her when Lydia cuts her off.

“Oh my god,” she breathes.  “You are so pretty.”

It’s not at all what Allison was expecting her to say—quite frankly, knowing her wife she was expecting some grumbling about how cold the room was or how uncomfortable the bed she was on was—and it’s enough to startle a laugh out of her.

“And your laugh is pretty too!” Lydia grins dopily.  “Holy shit, you’re like an angel or something.”

“And you’re pretty out of it, huh sweetheart?”  Allison leans over to smooth back some of her hair, finds herself grinning when she sits back and finds Lydia giving her this awestruck look, like she’s never seen her before.

“I’m gonna marry the hell out of you,” she informs her wife seriously.  “I’m gonna buy you dinner first, but then I’m gonna marry you.”

For a split second, Allison’s terrified that somehow Lydia’s managed to lose her memory.  But then she remembers the recording Lydia got of her after her back surgery, the one where she was so out of it when she came to that she started ranting to Lydia how she had planned the perfect proposal for her girlfriend…a solid month before said perfect proposal was supposed to occur.  

Pulling her phone out again and turning on the camera, Allison reaches with her free hand for Lydia’s and asks sweetly, “What was that?”

“You’re just so pretty!  And I like pretty girls!  And pretty boys, sometimes, but you’re, like, the prettiest person ever and I really like your face and I wanna smush my face against your face.”

“Is that so?”

“Mhmm.  I wanna kiss your pretty face, but first I’m gonna buy you dinner.”

“Where do you think we should go the dinner?”

“Dunno.  You pick.”

“How about the moon?”

“That would be really cool, pretty lady, but it’s hard to get there.  We should get married there, though.”

“So, you’re serious about marrying me?”

“Super serious.  The most serious I’ve ever been.  I’m gonna marry you so hard—.”

“Oh, god,” Lydia groans, blushing.  “I’ve seen enough!”

Allison grins cheekily, protesting, “But we haven’t even gotten to the good part!”

“I just told you I was going to marry you so hard.”

“I know,” Allison agrees.  “But you haven’t seen the part where you promise to play with my hair for forever because it’s, and I quote, the prettiest hair in the world—”

“Besides—.”

“Besides my own.  Jesus, even when you’re out of it, you’re a tiny bit vain.”

Lydia lunges for the nearest pillow, pulling up short with a sharp gasp, her face twisting in pain at the sudden jarring of her knee.  Allison’s smile drops in an instant and so does her phone, freeing up both hands to gently push Lydia back against her small nest of pillows, blankets, and maybe one or two of Allison’s softest t-shirts.  “Hey,” she murmurs apologetically, “I’m sorry, I’ll stop being mean.”

Unable to reach a pillow that’s not currently supporting her, Lydia settles for weakly slapping her wife’s shoulder and rolling her eyes in response.  “Turnabout’s fair play,” she says.  “God knows I’ve got some embarrassing videos of you after surgery.”

Allison scowls at her, even as the mirth in her eyes gives her away.  “Yeah!” she exclaims indignantly, feigning outrage.  “You should let me milk this, considering how much dirt you’ve got on me.”

“Puh-lease,” Lydia drawls.  “My dirt is just you being incredibly sweet to me.”

“You’re such a sap.”

“Same to you, punk.  Now get over here and let me kiss your face.”

gansey:

generally Proficient at preforming femininity - looking and acting in ways everybody traditionally expects from a girl - but only really feels the need to be read as very Traditionally Feminine when she’s around her family

has very little physical dysphoria (she doesn’t rly want hormones or surgery) but her social dysphoria can get rly bad & lead to panic attacks if she doesn’t pass well enough in public

but with her friends, it’s not typically too bad!

i think she probably came out when she was like 14 or 15? she started transitioning when she was off traveling by herself!

so her family was kind of Shocked and gansey still. Has Trouble with that sometimes. but they’re not outright terrible about it. just. not rly Good either. 

she’s got shoulder-length hair in a clean-cut bob (that gets a little curly in humidity), but she puts it up into a ponytail or a hat as much as possible because she doesn’t like the way hair feels on her neck 

(it’s reminiscent of hornets)

post-trk she definitely chops her hair off and gets a rly cute pixie :’)

is Skilled at makeup and uses it to hide all the evidence of sleepless nights

paints her nails religiously because she finds the act of painting them very calming and likes the way it feels!

often paints them orange to match the camaro, even though helen tried to tell her that it looks a little juvenile to have bright orange nails

daily wardrobe (polo shirts, khaki pants, boat shoes) is virtually unchanged tbh… geek… i love her….

and for formal occasions, helen lets gansey borrow from her wardrobe if she wants!

ronan:

butch! trans! lesbian! ronan! niall! lynch!!

(she loves her full name because her parents gave it to her and she doesn’t plan on ever changing it)

came out when she was 15, and once niall was killed, she started physically and socially transitioning All At Once

still has her head shaved. im in love with her. 

has and will punch a bigot without hesitation

she has 100 earrings in each ear and wears lots of rings

paints her nails to pick it all off the next day

when gansey’s extra anxious, she paints ronan’s nails for her, and it’s Soft :’)

her wardrobe is 100% unchanged from canon - rich tired punk farmer - and she looks gr8

she generally can’t walk in heels at all but she’s got this one pair of heeled boots that make her absurdly tall and she Loves It!

makeup skills are limited to making her look as Pissed Off as possible (meaning middle-school emo raccoon eyeliner and black lipstick probably)

typically not super dysphoric unless verbally misgendered

& isn’t rly comfortable with how deep her voice is but also isn’t willing to try to talk higher because she thinks she sounds silly, so she stays quiet a lot around new people

dreams up some fuckin miracle hormones for everyone and it’s Wonderful!

adam:

came out & transitioned later than everybody else because she wouldn’t even Consider her gender while she was still living with her parents

tbh gender probably plays into the whole Feeling Unknowable even to herself thing

but all her friends are trans as heck so she’s got a rly solid support system to help her once she starts to figure it out!

is rly reluctant to publicly transition because she’s worried abt how it might affect her future - being a trans girl makes life so much harder than just staying a cis boy - but, over time, she starts to make peace with it and realizes that Being Herself is worth the risk!

she fiddles with gender rly subtly at first: not really changing the style of clothes she wears, but buying t-shirts from the girl’s section instead of the boy’s section… growing her bangs out but keeping the rest of her hair short… wearing lip gloss… 

and these little changes help her comfort immensely, and eventually lead to more obvious changes in presentation!

tbh she probably comes out as A Girl first and then realizes she’s actually maybe a demigirl/a nb girl/something like that because being feminine feels Way Better than being masculine, but being A Girl doesn’t feel totally right either

and ronan helps with this, both as a role model for Not Giving A Fuck and also as a butch girl who shows adam that gender and gender expression don’t have to always align perfectly!

every now and then, adam puts on a skirt, and everyone in a 5 mile radius falls in love because she looks Damn Good!

especially with knee socks? like! shit!!!

noah:

noah is a ghost! you think ghosts care about gender? nope! noah’s agender or genderfluid in every universe and thems the facts 🙏🏻

but when noah was alive… he had some Gender Stuff

like, nothing as concrete as actively identifying as something other than a boy, but i think he definitely dabbled in gender presentation as a “haha jokes isn’t it funny” but secretly and quietly because it Felt Right

like… he definitely stole adele’s skirts a few times and his friends were like “czerny r u gay!” and he’s like “haha” but it was definitely actually subtle Gender Feelings that he didn’t have the vocabulary to express

anyway! once he’s dead he has no body and his presentation as Ghost Illusion can change with his comfort

so some days, he manifests looking more femme, and his friends know when to switch up pronouns and make him feel better!

similarly, he can read everybody’s mind, so he always knows what to say and how to comfort his friends when they’re feeling down about anything, including gender stuff!

henry: 

stylizes her name to ‘henri’ to be a little more femme!

she’s inexplicably stylish. like. the outfits she puts together are Ridiculous and no one in their right mind would wear them and they look Amazing?

sometimes more femme, sometimes comfy being a little more butch, sometimes splicing styles completely! There Are No Rules!

also her Hair. legendary. she grows it out and does all kinds of things to it. she’s known for her elaborate braids. :’)

makeup took the longest to master but now she’s great at it and helps the rest of the girls do their makeup too cuz she’s easily the best at it!

absolutely unapologetic? henri “kiss my trans ass” cheng. henri “down with cis” cheng. 

once henri is fully integrated into the group and gets access to the Dream Hormones, she’s like “!!! idk why my mom is wasting time trading magical artifacts when we could just sell this shit! we’d be set for life and it’d be a great cause!!”

blue:

let’s make her a trans girl too cuz why not!

when maura was pregnant and they found out blue was a boy, calla and persephone were like ‘…sounds fake but okay’

so when blue gravitated toward femme stuff and insisted she was a girl from a young age, they were all like ‘ah that makes more sense!’

there wasn’t a lot of money around 300 fox way for hormones and stuff, but there’s lots of love to go around and they always make sure blue is supported and as comfortable as possible!

blue gets into sewing and making her own clothes during middle school, once puberty starts to wreak havoc on her ability to seamlessly shop in the girl’s department! 

this is a skill that she shares with the rest of the girls once she meets them – she helps them tailor and tweak all their clothes to fit more comfortably!!

she and henry become Fashion Buddies and they make outfits for each other all the time!

300 fox way is kind of a sanctuary for all the girls – surrounded by women who easily and immediately accept them as women too, surrounded by the magic they’re all so in love with… maura, calla, and persephone are their adoptive moms! they have sleepovers at blue’s all the time, individually when they’re having bad days and group sleepovers for fun!!
