ANTI FAM SLEEP HEADCANONS BC I CAN

Anti Cosmo sleep like he's dead on a coffin, very vampire like, very fancy and compact. During his sleep he moves from little to nothing at all, but you can often find him looming in the corridor on his way to the bathroom during the nights.

Anti Wanda sleeps like she's fighting a rabid animal in her dreams. WILL toss and turn almost every second during sleep and AC is pretty much fine with that. Might once in a while accidentally throw him out of the bed.

Irep also sleeps like he's dead, the difference is that he looks like he been run over by a car. Takes all the space on the bed and outside of it too. Probably does the rotisserie chicken turning during sleep

Thanks for requesting! This is my first OP piece, let me know how it goes!

Tsuki's note: As i am on episode 300 or something, i am not so sure about Sanji's family to do a convincing plot. So, bear with me here. Reader is his sibling from the heart aka grew up together like siblings.

You were taken in by Zeff soon after he and Sanji started the restaurant.

You were a lonely rude kid.

But soon enough you found your passion in baking.

Zeff trained you to protect yourself - you never know what is lurking in these waters.

So very often you sparred with Sanji.

He was like a brother to you, always together.

Alas, before the strawhats got to Baratie to recruit Sanji, you were already gone for your own adventure.

A client saw you had great talent for baking and invited you to work in a renowned restaurant.

This person also loved Sanji's cooking but your stupid brother declined.

Sanji and Zeff fully supported you on pursuing that path.

They knew you could fend for yourself and the experience was great!

You were heartbroken that Sanji didn't tag along with you and also leaving the Baratie behind.

But you went anyway.

After months of leaving the Baratie and living on this new island, working for that restaurant you met the strawhats.

When they arrived at the island and reached the city, Sanji immediately recognized the restaurant that you would be there.

Alas, he had no time to explain anything, because the captain just rushed there. Luffy was gone in seconds.

Sanji chased after him in sheer desperation. Luffy could easily bankrupt a restaurant.

After the introduction was said and done and you hugged Sanji tightly, You offered the crew a cake you baked.

Soon you realized a single cake wasn't enough, because Luffy absolutely loved it!

He was like a vacuum cleaner swallowing the whole cake.

Well, that was not the end of your interaction with the captain, no.

While they were on the island, he went to you almost every free day he had to ask you for food.

You had told him your specialty was sweets, not meat, but he didn't seem to care.

Luffy claimed that, sure, there is no better food than meat, your baking goods came second place.

Did this comment made you happy? yes.

Did you like having him around your kitchen the whole time? No. He ate everything.

So to stop him from just blasting into the restaurant you promised him little treats.

It worked, surprisingly. But it was meant he came t nag you directly, quite often.

It made you wonder if your brother was actually feeding this boy or not.

A little bit before the crew went exploring he asked you make little bento's.

You thought that was weird, as Sanji has done them minutes ago.

But Luffy said he needed more strength than that and your food was the jackpot!

Again, happy? yes. Very.

You gladly baked what he asked, for everyone, of course.

You were worried sick as they took a long time to return - Luffy and Sanji promised to return to your work to say bye.

After a few days they were back beaten and bloodied, but smiling and filled with stories about what happened.

They didn't stay for long though, just two more days to recover.

These two days Luffy assumed you would keep your deal from before.

Well, you forgot about it, so he blasted in the kitchen upset, demanding his donuts.

To make up to him, you baked the donuts and cupcakes.

When it was time to say goodbye, you were invited in the crew by Luffy , who claimed that having a baker would be great.

But Sanji shot him down. Your silly brother didn't want you to sacrifice your career to be a pirate.

Despite you working with Zeff of a floating ship.

You didn't accept Luffy's invitations. The captain was very upset, but as soon as you explained you wanted to go to other restaurants to learn more recipes for him, Luffy got over the moon.

He accepted your negative, as long as you kept your promise.

And you did! After the two years time skip, you all met again.

This time you had tons of new recepies to share with Sanji and bake!

Needless to stay you had Luffy on your heels the entirety of their visit.

(lyney and lynette might be a little upset at him later for pushing himself too hard - though they understand more when he explains. they would do the same for you, after all.)

if he knows you like pers and who doesn’t, he’ll do his idle animation holding the mechanical penguin more often (hopefully you’re not paying too much attention, though, because you might find it odd that he’s wearing his helmet during the pers idle animation…)

surprisingly, she’s actually not too worried - even if she doesn’t like seeing you sad, she knows you’re strong enough to pull through whatever it is that’s upsetting you.

but just because you can handle it doesn’t mean she can’t help!

any of her voicelines that you think are cute, you’ll suddenly be hearing much more. (although it is a bit odd to hear her talking about the “silly frogs” when it’s not even raining.)

any cooking you do seems to go much better than usual - not only are you getting specialties first try, but you get high quality dishes without even trying.

(you might also find a few extra qingce household dishes in your inventory.)

ningguang:

she already wishes she could whisk you off to liyue. this is not helping.

whenever she sees you sad, she thinks about how well she could take care of you if you were in teyvat; thinks of the gifts she already has prepared, the spare room she keeps unoccupied just so she’s ready for whenever you decide it’s time to descend. seeing you cry just heightens those feelings.

her voice might sound a bit harsher than normal, but it’s not directed to you - rather, to whatever it is that has upset you.

whenever her idle animations play, she tries to summon brighter, sparklier gems than normal, hoping that the sight will lift your spirits, or at least take your mind off your problems.

if you stop at any shops in liyue, the prices might be mysteriously lower than normal. not by enough for you to notice, but enough to save you at least some trouble - the loss of a few thousand mora is nothing to ningguang, if it can help you even a little.

for some reason, when you’re sad, fontaine is always raining…

neuvillette hates seeing you upset. as someone who has spent much time crying himself, he knows what it’s like to suffer in silence - something he would never want for you. he hopes that being with him, even with a barrier inbetween, makes you feel less alone.

he longs to wipe your tears away, but that’s not an option behind the screen, so he’ll settle for smaller ways to cheer you up.

if you go underwater, you might notice more sea creatures than usual; not attacking you or even interacting with you, but just… hovering around, sharing neuvillette’s desire to brighten your spirits.

neuvillette’s voicelines will also sound quieter; not quite a whisper, but definitely softer than normal. it’s not an extreme difference, but he hopes you find his voice comforting.

seeing her cutie sad just breaks her heart!

speaking of cutie, you might notice her tacking the nickname onto the end of voicelines that don’t normally have it.

lisa wishes she could rest your head in her lap and read to you - never has she hated the barrier between you so much!

similar to freminet, lisa puts her all into any fights you bring her to. it doesn’t matter if it’s a slime or the fatui, she’s hitting them with enough lightning to completely fry them, trying to wrap up any fights you need to complete as fast as possible so you can relax.

although she wants to spend as much time with you as she can, she knows that she shouldn’t be selfish, and that often sleep is the best medicine for heartache. for once, she’s not just upset when you leave - she’s also hopeful you’ll come back smiling.

Could be for like, my actor AU or alt timeline AU but generally, this is how I imagine this man outside of combat

He is the silly silent type of person

If he was in MW2 (2022), he would definitely be a part of the silly trio with Soap and Gaz

The "3 Stooges of Sarges", Price would mutter as he finds himself in one of their schemes once more with Simon giggling at the side

As per rule of threes, Soap is the loud extrovert, Roach is the silent introvert, and Gaz is the balanced out ambivert-- which can either lead to him convincing the other two to stop or... encourage them with better ideas... maybe.. sometimes? Most of the time

As per silent protag rule, he has immunity! Well, more like a very high threshold for tolerating pain that it looks like he instantly heals after getting shot

(Dont worry he just gets knocked out for a second but is back right at it- which is a cause of concern of the crew)

Though is scares the dickens out of the enemies when they were so sure that they shot him down but just simply arises from the dead

Spookin' them and acting as the distraction for the other two to finish the job for him

(In which they immediately treat him or call for medevac while Roach pouts, saying that he can still go on)

But seeing that pool of blood follow him doesn't really help his case here now

Roach is also one of the top shooters in the range and during the missions, always having the highest kill count and the bragging rights that come with it

(Ghost is actually jelly and tries to compete for it when they get sent in a mission together)

He's also just so knowledgeable when it comes to handling and making weapons

That he full on bellows at the poor attempts of Soap trying to make tools back in the "Alone" mission in Las Almas

Ghost shrugged, albeit smirking underneath, at how he consolidated Johnny boy- saying it was his "first time" and all that but he too had to face palm a couple times during their comms with each other

Roach is the type to loot an enemy's body for bullets, weapons, frags- just to use it against the enemy and make them confused

I'm pretty sure that, even one time, he had swapped his clothes with a foot soldier-- easily infiltrating their base and destroying it from the inside then out

He IS the go-to man for information retrieval and silent infiltration ops because of it (but is actually dubbed his specialty, as per Price's compliments)

For some God forsaken reason, if you ask Roach to grab or shoot at something-- he is ON it like,

"Take down that AC-130 from above with a nail and rubber Sarge-" *BOOOOMMMM*

"Say less, cap'n."

I see Kris as Lyra’s older sister by 2 years! Tho to the Johto gang she’s like their big sis figure of the group always giving advice and taking care of them!

Around the time HGSS is happening Kris already went on her journey and is working under Professor Elm as the lab assistant!

Silver technically stole the starter that Kris specifically hatched for Ethan and Lyra so she has a bit of a attitude towards Silver tho it’s v silly

Kris is actually really good friends with the Kanto cast especially Leaf since she met them on her adventure

In the timeskip, she’s sorta a Sonia role where she’s not a professor /yet/ she’s trying to get her PhD. She and Lucas are friends cause they are in the same internship in Lumiose (under sycamore) together but it’s one of those competitive ones where in the end of the internship only one of them is offered the job to stay under Sycamore but it’s p fun

Her specialty when she graduates is gonna be studying about shiny pokemon! Shiny Pokemon are really rare in the pokemon world not many people have actually seen one irl so there’s not much studies on it so a lot of ppl don’t know if it was a genetic mutation of sorts within the species or environmental factors that caused shiny Pokémon to appear so that’s what she wants to find out but as well protecting those rare pokemon from greedy people like poachers and stuff

She’s afraid of Mareep cause one bit her hand in a petting zoo when she was little

She’s really good with technology like if I would put her in a girls cartoon archetype she’s the smart one of the group who’s a hacker/technology based somehow like the nerd girl tm

Both of the sisters hate this (more so Lyra) but Kris doesn’t really like being compared to Lyra in a large amount of ways (they are both different people who have different strengths and weaknesses. For example Kris was a Stem kid growing up she put alot of time and effort to her studies or to inventions to help Pokémon but she struggled a lot socially with her peers (sorta in a similar way to Dawn) Meanwhile Lyra on the other hand did a lot of sports like lacrosse or volleyball, she was in orchestra and choir and was a social butterfly around people but she struggled with grades ALOT. There was a lot that Lyra admired about Kris and there was a lot that Kris admired about Lyra but their parents constantly pit each other’s weaknesses against each other being like “oh why can’t you be more like your sister” which put a strain on their relationship growing up especially when Kris went to college and Lyra was struggling in high school hearing these comments all the time. Eventually the sisters do talk it out as adults but yeee that’s a big part of the dynamic but it’s hard to explain

Oh yeah another general headcanon is that Kris (and Lyra) are related to Steven Stone through their dad’s side of the family (cousins) which is why he shows up in HGSS

Coffee On The Horizon World Building

Alright, so there's... A lot more that goes into this because there's more to be included than just "coffee shop". As well as more than just me and my friends. We are working on a layout for it, so I'll add that whenever we get it done!

Okie dokies... Starting off, I'll start with explaining a bit of my friends and I and the start of the shop. We decided it would open up about the middle, near the end, of HC-8. The opening takes place September 15, 2021. Location I'll explain a bit more later. We somehow got quite a crowd, and news of our shop spread like wildfire.

As for me and my friends... Here's the list and what all of our jobs are:

We're all silly goofballs who pick on each other and have fun. We of course can be serious tho, and would take our jobs as such but we prefer to be relaxed. Unless someone messes with our family. Anything more involving us, I'll answer any questions, otherwise, time to move on!

Location time! So... I don't have an actual map of the place this takes place. I do have a rough idea tho! So, big city, we're on the outskirts of downtown, where the stores are. Our building is sandwiched between other buildings with the place where Melon and Nine live together being above the Café. Servers are all connected here. In the sense of like... Anyone online can access them, or for reference I suppose, things like MCC, instead of being streamed from people's PCs, it's a live thing where people go to a stadium for! I hope that makes sense. In this giant city though, there's different quadrants, the living one (homes and stuff), gaming, music, shopping, etc. Coffee On The Horizon Café is located on the edge of the Shopping and Home districts. The gaming district is split as well, since there's soooo many games. So they have smaller hubs and stuff that lead to a bunch of servers connected to a set building or something like that (You enter a building and can choose the server you want to join, essentially).

discovering i was aro was exactly like realizing i’m autistic. it meant that i didn’t have to keep waiting for smth to change, i can just exist as i am now with my present sense of understanding. i like the relief and simplicity of it ig!

i’ve been slacking off with aro/aspec hcs these days, those used to be a lot more frequent when i was younger (foreshadowing ?!)

i like aroace narancia still! charlie kelly is an obvious one, and sometimes i hc cousin greg for the kick of it (pretty much any green character has an aromantic au for me somewhere). i also have aro hcs for my own ocs, which is different from actually canonizing an orientation for them

will be keeping an eye out during my dc dive, i’ve seen aroace impulse hcs and it intrigues me. an aromantic speedster, what a fine thought…

im gonna explain cgeorge's first because its. silly (also I pulled it up first) if you look at a jellyfish 's hood cap thingy, i don't know the name, but it sorta looks like the top of a mushroom! and that's the entire reason there. i think he has the tentacles jellyfish has but they're just going down his back <- he wears a moss cape over them to keep them wet with the moisture ^_^ (also I like to think he starts to glow after making a deal with XD.. look up glowing jellyfish they're cool)

Do you have any headcanons regarding Jon or Edward’s brain? Personally I hc Ed as being autistic and having ocd (the second being confirmed in comics) and I know that cranesmistressoffear has some autistic traits. I want to be clear I’m not making you agree with these, but as an autistic kid I’m always on the lookout and was just curious what your interpretation was!!!!! I can absolutely see Edward being on the autism spectrum! Even Crane with his hyper obsession with fear. And both being considered exceptional geniuses in thier field of specialty.

Headcanons aren't generally things i think about for existing characters. So i'm quite open on accepting and adopting many headcanons.

When i do have "headcanons" it's most likely b/c they flourished from something silly.

Like years ago i came across this roleplay vid where you were a kidnapped victim and the kidnapper looked like cillian murphy, who back then i heavily associated with scarecrow. And the guy was talking about potatos, like, really pouring out his love of them.

So in my mind for a time, jonathan crane, master of fear, was a die hard lover of potatoes.

i feel like i sound like a broken record with how much i keep saying thank you so i'm sorry for saying it so much 😭 but thank YOU. sincerely. from the bottom of my heart. i say this with full honesty when i say that like... people's support really keeps me going. i tend to doubt myself a lot with writing, and namely with a character as popular as volo whose... popular fanon opinions i tend to heavily disagree with, for the most part, as if my 500000 page metas didn't make that obvious enough. because of that, i usually tend to lean towards self-critique and i sometimes wonder if maybe i've got it all wrong, and i often worry my frequent rambling and ooc posts come off as obnoxious and in a sort of soundproof room of me never stopping in running my Big Mouth about this blorboayga from my myths. i've also been out of practice with writing for a few years and my rust is immeasurable, so coming back to writing on tumblr made me indescribably nervous. all of this encouragement really brightens my spirits a whole bunch; just hearing simple things like 'hey, we like your writing funky magic man' brings a smile to my face. :')

EITHER WAY thank you, sincerely, i'm really glad my efforts into trying to write all that i can into him don't go unnoticed! i always worry on sneaking in showcasing how he's lying into pre-betrayal stuff, because i think to myself 'well, maybe i shouldn't? would it be more impactful if i cut it from this writing, to make it more unable to discern if he's being genuine or not? does telegraphing it like that cheapen it? am i telling, rather than showing? or should i keep it, to show the double nature of who he is? is it better for the impact?', so knowing someone appreciates that definitely helps with easing some of those thoughts!

and with ginter, thank you so much again! i wouldn't be exaggerating when i say picking up a character with next to nothing with them and fleshing them out has always been my specialty: i think my last long-standing muse had maybe.. my god, six lines total? in canon? and like, thoughts from the characters around them that i just worked off of, and somehow, it worked. so i'm glad that you enjoy him, too: i think he's a character with a lot of potential, and i was a little sad when he wasn't anything more to him other than just idle shop dialogue. i hope in the dlc, we might see more to him and what's up with him, since volkner's a fan favorite: until then, i'll keep on trucking with grandpa, and developing that sweet ginkgo lore... and amassing the angst with good ol' volkner, of course, because the stuff we've talked about with them Gets My Ass. :')

and before i sign off: to you, fae, i give my praise as well!! as i said with morty, i think ingo and emmet are difficult characters to pull off. being the popular fandom darlings of the 2011, it's easy to water down their characters or shove them into tropey boxes, but you put a lot of charm into ingo and a lot of thought that goes a long way! he feels very natural, and wonderfully pulled off! you really dig into the depth that pla gives him too, and while he bounces magnificently off of morty's emmet - kudos to that too! their relationship feels very natural - you guys manage to strike them as individual people who can stand on their own, while also being the most important character's in each others lives and highlighting how important their bond is. a two car train!!

and i've also mentioned how much i love your volk in dms, but seriously, you made me care for the big lug who i didn't spare a second glance usually because he just wasn't my type of character. that takes a lot of skill, and i can't tell you how much i commend you for it. full speed ahead, and don't lose your spark!

new hc idea me and my friends just came up with and i think it’s brilliant:

idk why or how but kaz needs to *whispers quietly so the children don’t hear* kill guy for a job.

kaz has been racking his brain thinking on how to do it as subtlety as possible.

but he just can’t.

until,,,

he sees nina and matthias eating waffles in a little diner on the way home from the crow club.

and it just hits him.

ya know? like his plans do

anyway the next day he meets up with Wylan.

and has him do his ✨thing✨

later in the day he meets with Nina to discuss his plan.

she loves it

literally jumps up and down.

yelling, “Kaz you wonderful horrible bastard! oh i could just kiss you right now!”

she doesn’t, of course.

it’s the thought that counts though.

anywayyyy they set it up for the next day

the target is one to frequently occupy a bar in the barrel so it makes the job easier.

they set it up so she’ll be there to meet the target during his weekly drink.

Nina walks into the club an hour later,

so the target is throughly trashed at this point.

and she does her thing

finally after a solid hour of Nina laughing and practically sitting on this mans lap, she convinces him to come with her to get waffles.

“oh my, i’m famished. you know what sounds absolutely marvelous? waffles. don’t you adore waffles? they are like heaven on earth i think. i’d do anything for some waffles right now.”

“well, little miss lady. who would I be to stop you. if you want waffles, waffles you’ll have.”

just like that.

how Nina hates men.

they go to the same diner Kaz saw Nina and Matthias at a few nights ago.

“well would you look at that, we have the place all to ourselves.” the man says winking.

Nina almost barfs then and there.

anyway they both get a huge plate of waffles.

one plate for Nina.

and one for the target.

“you have no idea how much i’ve been craving waffles today! thank you so much! you guys have the best waffles here!” she gushes to the waiter.

“it’s no problem, waffles are our specialty, after all.” Wylan says with a wink and smile as he slid a heaping steaming plate of waffles to the target.

“go on, you get the first bite.” nina says, smiling her million dollar smile.

no one noticed matthias sneak in the kitchen just to watch his women do what she did best. they also don’t notice how his breath hitches everytime she smiles that way

the man looks at Nina, in all her glory, as she piles on as much whip cream as possible.

he gives her a quick look up and down.

lingering *there*

how she hates men.

and he takes a bite.

the effects are instant.

he kinda chokes a bit.

“like me, waffles can be deadly,” nina laughs as his eyes go wonky.

and then he drops.

just like that

“did you kill him?”

“it’ll only knock him out for a bit. just long enough for us to give him over to Kaz.” Wylan says as Matthias comes in to grab the guy.

“so, he’ll be dead soon enough.”

silly boy.

Wylan and Matthias are half way out the door before they notice Nina not following them.

“Nina, are you really finishing your waffles?” Matthias says, holding the man awkwardly over his shoulder.

“What? i wasn’t lying when i said i was craving waffles.”

Sanji:

Fish nerd fish nerd--

I mean, he’s a chef of the high seas with a specialty of seafood, of course he is.

It does not matter if you are at an aquarium with this man or sitting on the edge of a pond, he will prolly know exactly what little fishy is swimming near you in the water and also knows a dozen different little facts about the species at hand.

He has a little pocketbook on species of fish in the area, so if he forgets anything, he can just flip through it and give you a little spiel from there.

Usually one of the facts he gives is a dish it would be good in, but it still counts, and it’s funny as hell to hear him spouting off a recipe description in between facts like it’s totally normal.

It becomes half of the fun- pointing out any fish you may see to ask if Sanji knows it’s species or any little facts about it, low-key waiting for the day he gives a confused expression and says no, he doesn’t know that particular fish!

The day has not come yet but it will someday, you hope. For no other reason than it’d be cute to see him flipping through his pocketbook to no avail and then watching it closely with you in wonder.

Also, he’s really big on little details. Quietly sits hugging his knees up to his chin on the bank and marvels about how that little fish’s scales sparkle rainbow-like in this particular lighting, or mumbles about how fluid the others’ tails move in the water with simple flicks and darts.

It also helps that he likes to bring along snacks for both you and the fish alike. Something that gets them practically swarming the water, and is plenty healthy for them to boot.

You could be sat there for hours and not get bored honestly. Between the pretty and relaxing fish, and nice conversation, Sanji’s really a joy to go watching fish with.

Law:

The man lives in a submarine. It's like going to an aquarium whenever it submerges and you peek out some of the larger windows.

Needless to say, watching fish with him is fun as all heck, especially once he comes out of his shell a bit more.

The Polar Tang could be stopped near a reef and he’ll pretend to be disinterested and like it’s something he’s used to, but the second a golden colored fish comes swimming near the window and you point out it looks like the submarine itself, he can’t help but crack a little smile.

He REALLY loves when tropical fish go by especially- The bright colors make him happy and he likes to look at their markings as close as he can through the clearer blue waters until they swim out of view.

He WILL find the strangest looking fish and deem it ‘you’, and you will have no say on this subject.

You may, however, find the next strangest fish, and deem it ‘him’, and he will no say on this subject.

This will proceed to go on for about twelve more fish until both parties are smugly grinning like idiots and also pretty much half-scaring the fish outside the window away in their loud but lighthearted banter and joking.

Between all the bright colors of fish through the clear blue water with sun shining down into the water, and the snarky big idiot making comments and starting fun back-and-forth, it’s a really fun thing to do together. Both silly to no end, and relaxing as heck somehow.

Paulie:

Whenever he has a lunch break at work, he takes that as an opportunity to go sit on the edge of the canal and watch fish while he eats. It became so much of a habit that even on days off, he likes to just chill and watch fish during lunch or having a snack. It’s even funner and relaxing with someone to share the time with, so there you go.

You will quickly find that he has affectionately named many of the fish, and can surprisingly spot a new or different one fairly easily since he’s seen them all every day, even if many are of the same species and look extremely alike. He can tell the difference.

He’ll point them all out too ! Calmly tells you their names, and a little fact about that fish.

“That’s Reginald. They won’t eat anything but pricey bread. That’s Talluhlah. She owns the canal pretty much, and won’t let you tell her otherwise. And that’s Jacka*s. He stole my sandwich once.”

If there’s a new fishy face in the water when watching with you, he’ll let you do the honors of giving them a name of your choosing. He’ll suggest ideas until you decide on something, and will from then on never call that fish anything different than what you named it.

He does not know anything about fish species or the actual types that swim by him whenever he’s eating lunch or watching fish with you, and he’s never had much of an interest in learning enough to make the names stick.

He does know, however, that he likes it when blue ones come by, since they blend in fairly well in the canal until they come closer to the surface. He thinks it’s funny how they ‘sneak up’ on the both of you and gets a handful of snickers out of it.

You know those little moments you experience and don’t think too much about in the moment, but think back on and remember it as nothing but vivid fun and happiness, even if it didn’t seem like much, even now? That’s what watching fish in Water 7 with Paulie feels like.

⛅️Sunset HC

Some people don’t stop and watch the sunset, assuming it’s the same every time, or too busy with their lives to notice the change until it’s already dark. You grew up in a city, where the buildings and smog cluttered the sky on the days you had a chance to be out. 

Finding the best place to watch the best sunset was just one of Esme’s many specialties. The girl always had such interesting things to show you, and tell you, and this was one of them. She’d impatiently pull you up from whatever you were working on and demand you come outside. “You’ve been cooped up all day! Don’t you want some fresh air?”

You both will climb on the roof of a tall building, or on better days, already be outside in the country relaxing. You’ll be the one spreading out a soft blanket while Esme comes back with blackberries she found. 

These days in the country were the fun and lazy ones. Watching the sun go down while joking around, then snuggling up to watch the stars. Esme could see them remarkably well, and point out constellations, though she didn’t know all of them. You were glad to teach her new ones.

Her favorites were the pretty lavender and pink sunsets, just as pretty as the fiery ones, in her opinion. The ones that gave cool relief on a summer day were nice, but everything looked brighter in the autumn. That’s when she’d definitely bring you out to the woods to gather chestnuts and apples. 

Esme would love to see a sunset on the beach, with the water sparkling from the sun setting over it. She calls it a silly fancy, she’s never been anywhere near a beach, but you tuck the thought away for later... It’d be a perfect anniversary or birthday trip.
