i don’t think i’ve ever used this account before but i need to rave about the feast makers. i never expected to love a book series quite this much but the scapegracers trilogy has helped me through a lot. the feast makers is exactly what i wanted from the third book. the characters, the romance, the writing its all just as perfect as it has been since the first book. clarke has crafted a world so rich in detail and angst that i feel like ive lived and grown with these people. as someone who is a struggling senior in high school, its just been so nice to have this series. i never expected to love a series about gay witches as much as i do. i have a bunch of minor gripes with the book but the story of sideways pike and her scapegracers will go down as one of the most touching and beautiful journeys i’ve ever experienced. time to go reread the trilogy

The things that are going on in this hotel suite between Marcus & Scully are quite literally the ONLY fireworks I care about today. Or ever, honestly. Talk about a BANG. 🎇🥵💀

I know that this part was one of the shorter ones in this series, but that didn’t stop it from being jam packed with amazing moments. And it won’t stop me from going on at length about those moments, either. So here goes:

Drug or no drug - it was the truth. Everything they do and say is honest because they literally cannot hide anymore, just like they can’t keep their eyes and hands and mouths off of each other. They are living their verbal and physical truth and they both know it and my honesty kink is so damn satisfied it’s incredible. I know at this point Reader is still not sure how it’s going to be once the drug wears off, and that makes me a little sad, but once the truth is OUT there’s no putting it back in the bottle. But even though neither of them can help what their saying, I get the feeling that they wouldn’t even if they could. I get the feeling that even without the drug, this level of honesty was right around the corner for these two. But I’m glad that they didn’t have to wait to find out.

Want this. Want you. Want us. Excuse me but this is quite possibly the sexiest fucking thing he could have said in that moment. It’s a confession and a proclamation and pretty damn near a promise and it flings reader right off the edge AS IT SHOULD. Her response of “I knew it” just cements the whole thing: this is what’s meant to happen for them. This is what they’ve been missing and what they’ve wanted. And this is what they could have all the time if they let themselves. Because even though the drug increases sex drive, I have a sneaking suspicion that everything would/will be and feel just as perfect without it.

Good because I’m nowhere near done with you. CAN YOU HEAR ME SCREAMING INTO MY PILLOW?! He means for that night, sure. But does he also mean like… in general? I think so. I think he does. I think he means that he’s got a lot of catching up to do to show her how much he’s wanted this for so long. This whole situation is seriously the BEST instance of delayed gratification I have ever seen.

Also? I just have to put this out there. I’ve told you that I’ve not really been a fan of sex pollen stories on the past. They just haven’t done it for me. But THIS ONE has me rethinking my entire life, and I think I know why now (other than the fact that it’s written so beautifully and with so much care and creativity): it’s because underneath the substance that’s making them fuck nasty like animals, there’s history and emotion and feeling. These aren’t just two strangers who sneezed into the wrong bush and are now using the fuck out of each others bodies with no regard for survival. These are two people who have been repressing these desires because they DON’T want to use each other, they want MORE than that but haven’t had the opportunity to act on it (and this one’s on you, Pike) and now that they’re knee deep in Special Circumstances, they get their chance and realize it’s not just the circumstances. They’re not going to just go their separate ways after this. There’s so much more at stake. And that is what has got me by the throat here. So THANK YOU for choosing to go that route with this. Me and my hopeless heart love a smut filled with feelings.

Quite a few people with Chiron in Gemini are singers, talented ones too

We always talk about intuition of Pisces and Scorpio but Cancer placements are also crazy intuitive. I feel like you really can’t fool someone about how you’re feeling with Cancer in the big 6.
