Mayday beyond basic understanding of labor & productivity, 5/2017.

For #Mayday, yes capitalism is a trap AND with all the progressive flair, I hope it builds toward: hiring Trans Women of Color above living wage & in leadership; sustain Sick & Disabled people who hustle without pay stubs; showing up for Migrant community & their rights; re-distribution of resources to Black and Femme communities; compensating for artists/cultural workers & not tokenizing their efforts; access funds for the self-determination of these multiply struggling communities; fundraise for those who aren't mainstream hireable whether because of ableism, anti-Blackness, Transmisogyny, xenophobia, fat shaming, or anything else; question whatever real work or labor is. I want to honor those unable to work, those getting sick working in violent unstable volatile environments, those navigating harsh systems of proving humanity, just to get fed. Please implement these strategies if you haven't already, as it doesn't matter what your placard says or who is at the protest when we're not caring for all in our communities. Remember that some folks may appear to be doing the same labor/job/activities but likely have to work thrice the effort just to get support, shine, accreditation, affirmations, that monies. Props to those who share whatever they got even when they're scraping empty, nourish community in ways that aren't quantifiable by a grant/paycheck/survey. Props to those who nourish themselves when there's no family, no safety net, no savings, no partners, no retirement plan, no community. Isolation is the harshest hustle. That deserves compensation both monetary & spiritual. I witness you. That is the work that keeps (y)our people alive. That's the work that ancestors taught us. * Below please post any fundraisers/patreons for community reparation tanks for those that deserve resources. ** Priority for Black, Indigenous, Transgender, Migrant & Undocumented, Femme, Gender Non-conforming, Poor, Disabled, Sick, Elder peoples and those who overlap in these identities.

We napped & overlapped. The reception was conveniently just outside the room, so “the femme process” took time (as she does). Decade-long kindreds can take as long as they please.
