Shadow looks up at the both of them, a teasing grin growing on her face, "Or, I could just bring myself back. I'm getting stronger, it won't be long til I can ditch this stupid thing, I swear."

Kai rolls his eyes, "yeah right. You are recovering, but don't think I've forgotten how I'd always have to patch up your injuries twice because you couldn't stay out of trouble long enough to let them close. I'm not making that mistake again, little missy." Kai shakes a finger at her teasingly. He gets slapped by his indignant sister who had always hates that nickname.

Stumbling back he rubs his cheek, "alright, alright I get it." Though the teasing grin on his face is going nowhere.

Paper Relations

Shadow sat in her bed next to her handler, who was asleep at the moment, had been for a while. She'd inclined her bed to sit up, used all her spare paper to make paper airplanes, which were now on the floor and out of her reach, and she was bored. Kai was still recovering, her handler was asleep, and all she had left was a stack of paper to consent to group physical therapy.

Kai had requested to be in the same session at her, which she was happy about. She was overjoyed that he seemed like his normal self again and that she could finally spend time with her brother again. After all these years, it was exactly what she wanted. But if they were the case, then why did she have a sinking feeling in her stomach? The feeling that she was missing or overlooking something that would seem obvious later.

She wanted to trust him, wanted so desperately to believe that he was back just the way she remembered him. But... Things changed. She knew that well, and sometimes it was for the better, but oftentimes, especially in situations like his, there were secrets hiding within every crevice, waiting until you let your guard turn to rear their ugly head. She knew she couldn't wait until everything was figured out to trust people again, but... What if it ended until hurting more than just her?

She shook herself out of her thoughts, not wanting to go down that path, and picked up the stack of papers and a pen, and sighed heavily. "paperwork" she muttered under her breath, resigned, distracting herself from her current dilemma with her disdain for such mundanities.

Though she couldn't avoid it for long, and eventually, after dawdling on things for longer than she could bear, decided to judge her handler awake, she'd gotten enough sleep, right?

"Blue," she whispered, trying to be gentle, "hey Blue, I need to talk to you about something..."

Alibi

The morning had gone seemingly well, having the day off, you were able to take care of a lot of errands you had been putting off such as pulling all of the weeds from your backyard that managed to weasel their way back in even after drenching them in weed killer.

You were so engrossed with picking them and listening to one of your favorite podcasts, you almost missed hearing the doorbell ringing. Taking the gloves off, you paused your podcast and went inside to answer the door, slightly surprised to see two very professional people standing outside.

"Good evening ma'am. I'm Special Agent DiNozzo with NCIS and this is Agent McGee, mind if we ask you a few questions regarding Karen Moss?"

You shifted your weight nervously, stomach turning at the sound of your friends name.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?"

They shared a solemn look between the two of each other, telling you everything you needed to know.

"Her body was found this morning a few streets away and based on her call history, you were the last person to speak with her before her death. May we ask where you were last night around 11pm?"

You covered your mouth in shock, not believing that they just told you that your close friend died, let alone was possibly murdered and know were questioning you as if you might be a suspect. You thought back about the time they were referring to and memories of Jethro and you tangled together in your bed sheets popped into your mind. You thought about telling them, not sure if they even worked with Jethro, but decided on giving them the simplified version instead.

"I was here. With my boyfriend.."

"Is he here now to verify your whereabouts?" DiNozzo asked, taking a small peek over you as if he'd catch a glimpse of someone fleeing. Were all NCIS so suspicious?

"No, but I can give you his number. His name is Leroy Gibbs. His number is-

"Wait, sorry. Leroy Gibbs?" Agent DiNozzo interrupted, facial expression disbelieving. "Grey hair, high and tight haircut, broody mysterious Leroy Gibbs?"

You chuckled a little at his choice of words to describe your boyfriend, seeing how well he made an impression on people.

"Well not usually broody around me but yes, I guess you could say that. Why? Do the two of you know him?"

Once again, the two agents shared a look, this time one of confusion and awe.

"Uh, could you just hang on one second," DiNozzo asked. "I'll be right back."

You stood there with Agent McGee who looked like he wanted say something, but didn't as Agent DiNozzo walked a few paces, pulling out his phone and dialing a number.

"So was Kathy murdered? You said her body was found. When I talked with her last night, she said she was on her way to meet up with someone for a blind date," you asked McGee who was focused on the phone call Agent DiNozzo was having.

"Well Abby was able to go through the Lieutenant's phone and her number was the last dialed. We were just following- Uh yes- Well I wasn't sure- Of course boss, I'll tell McGee."

Agent DiNozzo came back over before murmuring to Agent McGee.

"Gibbs wants us to bring her in for protection. I told him you'd explain to him why we questioned his girlfriend without letting him know."

"What do mean, me? You're the one that had Abby look up the phone records."

"Just take one for the team McProbie. He's still mad at me for the whole coffee incident. Plus, you owe me."

You watched the two supposed Federal Agents argue like siblings, neither one of them wanting to be in the line of Jethro's mood and honestly it was kind of funny. Jethro never really talked much about his team but you had only been seeing him for a few months and 9 times out of 10, the two of you weren't doing much talking when you saw each other.

You decided to break up the little tiff the two of them were having in order to save some time.

"Alright, well while the two of you sort all that out, I'm going to change and lock up the house before we leave."

"Sounds good," Agent DiNozzo responded before going back to bickering with his partner.

You took another sip from the little paper cup of water Agent David had given you as you waited in the conference room. She wanted to know about you and Jethro but you didn't divulge much information, knowing Jethro liked his personal life kept close and unknown for the most part. It wasn't long before the door opened and your boyfriend walked in along with Agent DiNozzo and David. You decided against giving Jethro a hug or kiss in front of his subordinates, although the both of them looked like they'd love nothing more than to see that happen.

You all sat down at the conference table except Agent DiNozzo who was wound up tighter than a jack in the box.

"Did Kathy give you a description of this blind date she was seeing?" Jethro started the questioning with. You spoke about everything you knew from the phone call you had with Kathy, tearing up towards the end, still not believing your friend was dead.

Jethro reached out to hold your hand and give you a tissue to wipe your eyes with, making his agents stare in interest at the caring gesture.

"It's like I'm in an alternate Gibbs reality," DiNozzo whispered to Agent David.

Jethro shot him a look before speaking. "Why aren't the two of you putting out a BOLO on this guy?"

"On it boss," Agent DiNozzo spoke quickly, leaving the room with Agent David following close behind, shutting the door after them.

"I think you should stay with me just in case until we catch the killer," he offered, standing up.

"Ok," you squeaked, not wanting to do much talking anymore.

"Come ere," he ordered softly, pulling you to your feet and into his arms for a hug. You accepted it eagerly, breathing in his scent, calming you down a bit.

Once you were better, the two of you walked out of the room and into the squad room, not expecting to be stared at by almost everyone there.

"What kind of reputation do you have with the opposite sex to make everyone look at me like the new zoo exhibit?" you asked Jethro, making him chuckle.

"They're just being nosy. Ignore them."

Jethro stopped Agent DiNozzo from asking anymore questions about the two of you as well as pulling you away from a very animated Forensic Scientist that seemed to have had entirely too much caffeine.

Jethro accompanied you back to your house where you packed a bag before driving you to his house, making a drawer available for you in his bedroom.

"I get my own drawer now. Things are really becoming serious, aren't they?" you teased him.

"Hey, I'm not the one who told my agents that I was your boyfriend," he retorted.

"Should I not have?" you asked genuinely worried that you had overstepped a boundary. He pulled you into his arms, staring into your eyes and tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.

"I don't mind the title. Just know that they're gonna have a million questions for you now," he stated, referring to his very curious agents. You smiled, giving him a peck on the lips and loving the new stage you both were now in.

"That's alright. I'll be sure to tell them how you love it when I give you back scratches while we cuddle together and watch movies."

Your joking was cut short as his fingers pressed themselves into your ribs, effectively tickling you till the both of you were on the bed, him hovering above you.

"You know, had it not been for you, I wouldn't have had an alibi for last night," you told him, running your fingers through his hair.

"Must of slipped my mind but," he murmured into your skin, kissing your shoulder. "I don't exactly remember how last night went. Maybe you can help jog my terrible memory."

Laughing at his playfulness, you played into it, pulling him in for a passionate kiss, ready to remind him exactly what happened that night.

"cousins who act like bickery siblings" really sums them up (with a delightful dash of Relationship Writing Fumble) since you didn't watch it as much, a fun fact for you: they were even born on the exact same day. my siblings and i called them "cous-twins" when we were growing up bc of that

HELLO??!?! BORN ON THE SAME DAY!!!!!!! they 100% are cous-twins omg how am i not meant to ship them? even when i was a kid and watched it, at first i assumed they were like bickering childhood friends who would probably be love interests. then i found out they were COUSINS, and my interest did get piqued but sadly not enough to watch it more often than in passing.

i loved that they were cousins but close enough to bicker exactly like siblings because they spent so much time together. they really are so adorable, and their dynamic makes for an amazing relationship, especially when they grow up and mature enough to not bicker as much.

Demon slayer Swap Au: pt2 Daki/Ume

Daki is not a hashira. However her and Gyutaro are rarely separated. Gyutaro is a hashira and due to their innate compatibility, was given special privileges to bring his sister along with him to any mission and hashira meetings.

Daki uses Thunder breathing unlike Gyutaro who came up with his own breathing style (Toxic breathing, like a mix between thunder and snake). Daki uses a katana and Gyutaro uses sickles.

As a child Daki was burned alive. Most people believe this was caused by a demon, only few know the truth behind it. This is not helped by the fact that if asking Gyutaro if a demon did that to her he’d say, “Not much of difference to me,” with a stern look and a nod. The people who do know what happened are Daki herself, Gyutaro, Douma who found them, and Muzan (swapped with ubayashiki).

Due to the burns her skin was deformed and discolored. She still chooses to wear revealing clothing as it is intimidating towards demons, motivating to other thunder breathing students, and she finds herself beautiful in her own way. She knows the difference between inner and outer beauty. She still doesn’t take kindly to those who insist she or anyone else is ugly, and whoever dares say something along those lines gets a long lecture of what it truly means to be beautiful and ugly.

Douma found the pair of siblings on the brink of death and instead of turning them into demons brought them to the corps and they became demon slayers. Sense Gyutaro was older, unharmed, and had experience with combat he mastered the breathing techniques much faster and quickly became a hashira. Daki on the other hand, although skilled wasn’t able to reach his level. Lucky this didn’t separate the siblings and they still work together.

I couldn’t find certain timeline facts so these are more guesses and correct me if I’m wrong. Gyutaro is two years older than Ume and Ume was 13 when she was attacked and burned. That means she was 13 and he was 15 when Doma found them. Gyutaro became a hashira in almost no time at all at the age of 18 while Daki was still learning Thunder breathing.

I thought it would be funny if in this au Daki and Gyutaro had a sibling like relationship with Kaigaku. (They’re both thunder breathing users and Kaigaku became no.6 after they passed) Overall daki is closer with kaigaku. Daki took longer to master thunder breathing she was with him during a lot of his training and helped him become a better and more balanced slayer. Ultimately this helped him be less cocky and stopped him from becoming a demon. They still are quite bickery with each other.

I’m still trying to think of other things to add but idk what. Like I feel like I’m forgetting something

Asking you about your specific Poe brotps!! —CCFM

Rina....bless you so much for giving me a chance to infodump. So my brotps for Poe err on the side of gulp shittos: lots of background Resistance characters who have my whole entire heart, that I've built up entire dynamics with him off of - it's honestly maybe my favorite thing to write about, and comes up a lot in an rp 'verse me and my partner (@hermitmoss) wrote a few years ago. Some have some canon basis, others not so much lol. I just think that for majority of the Resistance, Poe is kind of this....surrogate big brother (Snap is also). If you're having a shit time, and Poe has time in his schedule, you bet your ass he's gonna give you a hug and let you talk things out. You need advice? Poe's probably got some to give, etc etc.

So first, there's Poe and Beaumont. Beaumont is the character we see in tros that hypothesizes ways that Palpatine could have survived. There's a really lovely comic where he goes to Kashyyyk with Chewie, which reveals that he's estranged from his parents who disapprove of his career choice (he is a scholar, with a focus on the Force). But! Relevantly, Beaumont is kind of a scruffy guy, so I decided that this guy in tfa

could definitely be Beaumont. It's not, canonically, because Beaumont only joins after the Hosnian Cataclysm, but this is my canon and I do what I want lmao. Basically, I think Poe and Beaumont bond over their interest in the Jedi/Force. Poe believes in the Force, per Oscar Isaac, and I tend to think that errs on a sort of religious belief for him; and since Beaumont has a special interest in the Jedi, I like to think there's a lot of philosophical conversations between them and Poe occasionally helping Beaumont pour over research materials (you remember how one of the high republic books, i think, canonized smutty romance books about the Jedi? the funniest mental image I have of them both running into one of those and getting flustered/mildly scandalized about it lmao).

In my little canon, Beaumont is a pretty lonely guy and is still working out what "friendship" can be like while reeling from the estrangement from his family, and Poe's really there to support him through the whole thing. And of course, Beaumont loves his very hyperactive friend right back and gives him support when he can as well. Also I feel like it'd be fun if Beaumont specifically got brought into the Resistance because of his connection to Tekka, and because they needed some idea on other Force oriented sights that Tekka could have visited!

Then there's Poe, Tallie and Paige. Yes they go together, lmao. Technically, a lot of my headcanons actually focus more on Snap than Poe here: Tallie is noted to be in charge of Blue Squadron, which Snap is second in command of, so I like to think they often swap duties, especially when Snap is busy with Black Squadron things, and they're like. Very bickery siblings who always argue over the last cup of caf in the morning (it's tradition!).

But I think it's canon-ish leaning that Poe is friends with Paige (I believe Kelly Marie Tran mentioned in an interview that the background is that Paige was friends with Poe and kind of a wingman to him, so that's how Rose is familiar with Poe?), and I like to think the same thing with Tallie. I think Poe and Tallie are kind of those friends that rib each other plenty - yeah, sure Poe's her commanding officer, but he's just as much of a dork as Snap so she's gonna give him plenty of shit.

I haven't built up nearly enough with Poe and Paige specifically, but I do headcanon that Tallie and Paige are together <33 because I love tragedy, I guess, but also there's a lot of commonalities between them, and I like picturing Poe being supportive of them and being the first to get the gossip that they're together because he accidentally runs into them kissing lmao.

I truly could keep going all day, but I'm gonna try to keep this somewhat brief, and just. Bullet point the rest lmao:

I think Poe is a little bit eager to get Admiral Ackbar's approval. It's kind of a whole thing in ghost story, because Ackbar is sort of the closest thing to an authority figure in Leia's life still, and that matters to Poe. He respects the hell out of Gial, and the two eventually wind up bonding over their love for Leia, and sharing koya fruit. To my endless delight, a ROTJ anniversary comic special confirmed that Ackbar was friends with Shara and Kes, and they were some of his most trusted confidants - which really adds so much to how close Poe seems to be with Aftab, calling him "junior" all the time....truly family friends!!!!

Poe!!! And Kalonia!! I've actually written about them once before. I think Poe really, really hates medbays from trauma of losing his parent(s), and tries avoiding them when he can, so it's kind of a running joke that Kalonia scares him. But! He'll also stop by early in the mornings to anonymously drop off bouquets of wildflowers or snacks for Kalonia, so she has a little bit of extra appreciation. And of course there's this moment I wrote of them in an rp that still tickles me to this day:

Beaumont smacked his scanner again, "Yeah it's...on the fritz. I guess Poe's the only one who's really getting help -" "Bruised ribs?" Kalonia said loudly, or as loudly as her soft voice would allow her. Poe nearly wilted under her stern gaze. "How did you expect to treat that yourself?" Poe hesitated a moment, before answering slowly, "Wait for them to unbruise?" Kalonia pinched the bridge of her nose, "Please get Commander Dameron under a stabilizer. Once he's treated, he and Knight Surris will help us treat Lieutenant Donneta's lekku."

She puts up....with so damn much....

then we have Poe and Kaydel!! Obviously their friendship (and his with C'ai) get a lot of focus in tlj which is one of my favorite things about the movie, but I love to think that she winds up being Black Squadron's psuedo baby sister. I think she has a habit of getting tunnel vision when she's working, that she forgets to eat and things like that, so they implement something they call "the kaydel protocol" which just means Black Squadron takes turn checking in on her through the day to make sure she's ate and drank plenty of water.

I also like tossing around Poe and Taslin Brance! We barely see Taslin in the movie, but there's a deleted scene where he's the one to inform Leia Poe's X-Wing was destroyed in the village, and in the Flight Log, he's the unfortunate soul to deal with crabby Poe "do not LOOK at me do not TALK to me about the fucking finalizer okay I'm FINE look at me I flew to Takodana and Starkiller, could a traumatized person do THAT" Dameron by trying to get him to debrief. I think Taslin is something of an anxious, kind of clumsy guy, that is horrified and exasperated by the kinds of stunts Poe comes up with, and probably does a lot of the more "boring" high command work with Poe, like paperwork and lists and stuff.

And especially for you, Rina, I LOVE Poe and Threepio's dynamic! I know their dynamic is written fairly inconsistently from the comics to the films, but I find the accidental like, implied development of their dynamic really enjoyable. I love the parts in the comic where Poe's like you really shouldn't be calling me master you're a war vet and a hero man, we should be calling you that, and Poe hauling ass back to carry Threepio out of danger, and then Threepio offering to sacrifice himself so Poe can escape Terex....ough. I like the implication that they went from these very professional colleagues to friends that are so done with each other but come hell or high water they're sticking it out for each other. It always tickles me in tlj when Poe is listening to Finn and Rose's plan and goes "so we blow that one up?" Threepio just WHIRLS around like "wHAT did you just say" it's so delightful to me, and I love that Threepio tends to give it right back to Poe in tros when they're all snippy with each other ("you both make excellent points....some times" makes me laugh my ass off every time). and then poe calling threepio his brother in the tros novelization??????????????????????????? ough......I really can't think of any dynamic with a human that Threepio has where he'll rib right back, so to speak, and it just. Fascinates me. I want so much more about them, especially since I'm sure they worked closely together since Threepio has his spy network and Poe seems to oversee a little bit their other spy network, on top of being (somehow) a spy himself.

oc lore: bickering (big 4)

Tarou and Hajime: fuckin constantly bickering. just the dumbest things imaginable. they went back and forth about what the correct ratio of cookie to chocolate is in a chocolate chip cookie is for three hours once. three. HOURS. they get over it in like, an instant though. so they're like an old married couple

Tarou and Leo: they hardly ever bicker, actually. they largely agree on any given topic. besides, Leo doesn't like to talk much around anybody but Hanako atm (he's working on that). the rare few times they do bicker, they take a minute to relax. they're both guilty of holding onto dumb things for far longer than they should. (Leo and Haji WOULD bicker quite a bit, if Haji wasn't so stubborn and Leo liked to talk)

Hanako and Leo: less bickery, more debatety. they hold civil discussions about the superior type of potato chip regularly. when they do legitimately squabble, they don't hold on for very long. normally all it takes is Leo flicking something at Hana's forehead and they're back to normal.

Hana and Tarou: they're brothers.

Hana and Haji: they're like the Disney Channel version of brothers. people who have never once had a sibling writing siblings. they don't really bicker as much as it is Haji making fun of Hana and Hana whining about it to Tarou.

He was so grateful to have Tori, someone who was always there for him, even if sometimes they would have their typical sibling bickery, but they would allways be there for each other no matter what, and times like these even if it might feel like he was being stupid or if it didn't even make sense what was happening to him it was good to have her and hug her like this would always calm him down and make him feel safe.

There’s toxic work environments, and then there’s this sibling bickery like they’re crammed in a minivan on a 12 hour road trip

I feel like if you were on the Invader Zim crew, you were liable to be roasted in the show.

- Gir's voice actor got a green car that the crew thought was ugly. So they put in a whole skit in the show about a guy getting his ugly green car destroyed.

- the Tallests obsession with snacks is ripped from Jhonen Vasquez, who constantly brought in gas station snacks into the studio. The crew thought some of the snacks were gross.

- they got a guy who is scared of babies to write an episode about evil babies.

- Jhonen Vasquez and Rikki Simmons kept making cameos in the show, the first time it was as a possibility for Zim's human disguise. He called them "Ugly" and "Stinky".

Intermuse Dynamics. / Louis && _____

Louis & Fox - Louis is pretty protective over Fox. I wouldn’t call it a sibling relationship, but they’re definitely friends, and Lou would fight you for Fox. Fox is very firmly nestled into a “friend” box in Louis’ world (as opposed to “lover” box), and thus there’s very little he wouldn’t do or drop for her. 

Louis & Circe - Louis and Circe cannot STAND each other. Louis thinks Circe is an old fashioned stick in the mud, and Circe thinks Louis is a brute with a thirst for pointless violence. Neither are wrong lol. They have been known to use each other once in a while- Circe’s manners come in handy when Lou’s in an uncomfortable social position he can’t get out of, and Louis’ penchant for physicality is useful when Circe finds herself in a violent situation SHE cannot get out of. But outside of those two specific instances, they are frequently sniping and bickering with each other.  

Louis & Styxx - Louis & Styxx - Dependent on the timeline and the verse but generally positive. In the 100 and apocalypse they get along well enough- Styxx sees the usefulness in Louis’ fightiness, and Louis sees a genuinely good person-leader in Styxx that he’d willingly follow the instructions of. In basic moderns there’s a rare chance they overlap but if they did I think while constantly exhausted by Louis’ constant need to be the jokester, Styxx will always see past the blustering fighty boy to the deepness lurking in Lou, and they’ll always get along relatively well, if a bit bickery.

I'm only a fan in certain ways lol so this may have more of an emphasis on their relationship flaws and toxicity than another fan's list, but it's still shippy, and I aimed for a decent balance.

Ain't Love Grand: Hawk/BJ as the successful "couple" despite their surface differences paralleled/contrasted with two genuinely incompatible couples.

The Joker Is Wild: Trapper complex, top/bottom jokes, pigtail pulling perhaps, the fucked up weirdness that makes them compelling.

Peace on Us: The red party, aka BJ at his most supportive.

Period of Adjustment: Well it's my shippiest episode lol. BJ's insecurity about being Trapper's replacement paralleled to his insecurity about being replaceable to his family (ie how easily his daughter confused Radar for him) is nicely homoerotic, and I love the more toxic aspects of their relationship which this episode clearly focuses on.

Where There's a Will, There's a War: BJ fretting about Hawkeye, Hawkeye having difficulty coming up with something to leave BJ that symbolizes what BJ means to him, and the nicely homoerotic ending, ie BJ half wakes up and sees Hawkeye and says "remind me to give you a kiss in the morning" because he's been worried about him all day and he's glad to see him, but Hawkeye assumes he's dreaming about his wife and this assumption leads to his revelation about what to leave BJ in his will, prioritizing BJ's family. It's a disconnect between them that feels very homoerotic to me at this point in the story. BJ focusing solely on Hawkeye and Hawkeye mistaking it for his obsession with his wife and kid... good suff.

Oh How We Danced: Opening with a joke about Hawkeye standing in for Peg for BJ's anniversary, ending with someone else literally standing in for Peg while Hawkeye watches from the sidelines after giving him the most thoughtful anniversary present anyone's ever given anyone ever.

GFA: Their relationship is the most prominent with the final climactic goodbye, it's largely about their issues but in a way that's fun because again, I'm all about the flaws wrt shipping them. BJ doesn't want to admit he'll probably never see Hawkeye again, gets weird when he's drunk at the goodbye party and telling a joking story about cheating on his wife. Intriguing stuff. ETA whoops I missed that you also said discounting the last. Oh well, pretend Comrades in Arms is my choice here then I guess.

Hanky Panky: Because I feel like it serves as a good gay explanation for why BJ doesn't support Hawkeye emotionally very much if you want a nicer and homoerotic explanation for that, ie last time he was someone's shoulder to lean on he cheated on his wife. Plus a couple of gay jokes, and a neat parallel wrt BJ asking Donovan to open up to him and Hawkeye asking BJ to open up to him.

The Yalu Brick Road: Hawkeye makes a good joke comparing the North Korean who surrendered to an old girlfriend's sibling who tagged along with them and killed the mood, plus in general they've got a comfortable bickery married couple vibe here.

Rally Round the Flagg, Boys: BJ being a condescending dick about how he's so much more cool and rational than Hawkeye, and proving himself hypocritical by saving Hawkeye from an angry patient at the end more violently than necessary.

Bonus: The Grim Reaper for being the very first episode that made me start shipping them because it's one of BJ's first condescending dick episodes lol; Comrades in Arms for BJ fretting about Hawkeye; The Kids for Hawkeye's first sappy very loving look at BJ when he tells the story to the orphans... probably others where they seem happy and married-couple-esque together but I don't have a good memory for those.

Oooh this is a tricky one

To be honest, I haven’t put much thought into it, mainly because I love Carver with all my heart and, while I don’t dislike Bethany, I find her a lot less interesting? Like Carvers got all this shared Ostagar trauma with Hawke, all this bitterness, confusion, identity issues surrounding his Templar namesake and all that. Bethany’s just kinda. There. (I wanna specify this is not a hill I want to die on, I’d love for someone to change my mind, I really want to like her)

So yeah. I have some biases which effect this a little. Now to answer your question:

Leo and Carver had a pretty classic petty, bickery sibling rivalry (with love) lots of pranks, play fighting, real fighting and getting into trouble as kids and well into their teens. They rarely saw eye to eye, but they had a pretty good yin and Yang thing going. Carver took his role as “protector” very seriously and Leo just. has So Much Bloodlust towards Templars. And you’re about to find out why :)

Bethany and Leo get along and love each other well enough. Yknow, if you ignore the major awkwardness and resentment around That One Time Bethany Was Almost Caught And Leo, Age 14 And Too Young To Fight, Engaged In Sexual Favours With A Templar For Their Freedom that they refuse to communicate about. They both blame themselves, while thinking the other blames them. You know the drill.
