Re: the latest helluva boss short, i REFUSE to believe that blitzø is bad in the sack. i just refuse that notion all together. i do believe he has zero technique whatsoever though, because he relies heavily on confidence and on his excellent capability of reading people.

See, thats all you need to be a sex god imo. If youre skilled enough at reading peoples reactions properly, you dont need technique because you dont need generalisation, you figure out what that SPECIFIC person likes. and that makes you invaluable to their eyes. i do believe two things, one is that blitzø enjoys cracking open that mistery and exploring what makes someone tick, two is that he is extremely observant and good at reading people/situations (exes and oohs is a great example of this, both in how he clocked the drugged drink right away and how he slept with chaz to get info), aside from also being quite versatile, handy and extremely adaptable.

Third thing i believe is that blitz is also DEFINITELY all over the place, so sometimes he may also be bad at sex because he can also be selfish and self centered, so he may not care enough to pay attention to the other person at times. But he has the capability to be great in bed is all im saying.

So what i believe happens in the short is, first of all as other people have said he has some complicated feelings about this crystal. Because of course. So maybe he doesnt even feel like pleasuring a stupid crystal when he should be pleasuring stolas, thank you very much!! And also the crystal is an inanimate thing, he cant really gauge a reaction from it so he would have to rely solely on technique, which he lacks 😋

Rereading the best series in the world in preparation for the show (which I’ve been so excited about I’ve been having DREAMS about it) and I’m so ashamed to have forgotten how amazing of a character Annabeth Chase is. Is she perfect? No. Is she realistically flawed? Yes. Does she try her best to help her friends, keep herself alive, and still remain true to who she is? Yes.

My biggest problem with characters modeled like her, (brainy, tough, annoying at times due to her intelligence, attractive) (such as Hermione from HP), is that their intelligence is made to be their whole personality. Their only contribution to the story is their intelligence and strategy (AKA their interest as a character and usefulness is limited to their smarts)

Annabeth Chase is not always wise. She sometimes panics in times of weakness (spiders), she makes rash decisions when it comes to her friends (jumping on the back of the monster in PJTC), and openly admits her fatal flaw is hubris. She does not limit herself to her intelligence - she trains and fights and tries her hardest (eventually) to get along with a kid who she has every reason to hate (his father is her mother’s enemy, he is praised for being a hero and gets a quest so easily after she has fought for one for years).

Percy gets all the credit for his loyalty and though he is beyond loyal, people tend to overlook the fact that Annabeth basically declared her alligence to him, dispute their parent’s hatred towards each other, on their first quest because he IS HER FRIEND.

She is too trusting. She can be “annoying” (though I don’t believe that’s the right word for it) with her intelligence. She is loyal to a fault. She is not always right.

Annabeth Chase is the most perfectly imperfect character and I will never forget that again.

we've been using cardboard and then a thumbtacked-to-the-wall scarf to block the light in our bedroom window at night up until recently (this is our fourth or fifth year of living down here and we only finally got to have a curtain rod installed a couple months ago), theres mold that grows around the windowframes in the winter if we don't keep up with vinegar/bleach on it, springtails are in the bathroom for weeks at a time from ??? god knows where, there is an obvious mold problem down here that our mother says she "just doesnt know what to do" about and refuses to look into it, we find weevils and carpet beetles frequently and consistently (like at least three or four every week), and there are several unfinished spots of the basement that our dad nearly started crying over last year because he apparently felt so bad that we have to live with this and yet he does not make it a priority to finish or fix (even though the main floor that we're not allowed into without permission has gotten several purely cosmetic upgrades).

we do not complain because complaining gets us abused more. we pay rent each month. we have literally Zero income whatsoever, and our mother has expressed anger and disapproval at the idea of us getting onto welfare and disability for the past three years and suddenly this year out of the blue she says to us "why haven't you been working on getting onto PWD? you know it takes a long time, right? you should've started working on that a while ago!"

i think we're allowed to fuck up the property ever so slightly in an attempt to make it tolerable to live in. jesus fucking christ.
