#genshin#genshin impact#genshin impact headcanons#this is largely aimed at people who are under the mistaken impression that any characters have a CANON age particularly the travelers#sarah miller-crews saying she was under the impression the travelers were 15 and then correcting#and saying “actually i don't know for sure that's just what i thought” has left the fandom with the mistaken idea that that is solid canon#and it most definitely is not#i find it much easier to believe the traveler is biologically 18 at the very least#largely because of that part in one of the mondstadt quests where kaeya is openly flirting with the traveler (obviously as a joke but still#he's clearly a young adult and would not at all be flirting with a teenager as a joke or otherwise#this is also why the way lisa flirts with the traveler makes me extremely uncomfortable (and i think it's intended to)#because even though i headcanon them as 19 she seems like she's in her late 20s and that's a bit much of an age gap#this is also largely aimed at one particular artist who keeps drawing neuvillette and wriothesley and making them both look like old men#it weirds me out because there's literally a line in the fontaine archon quest where paimon says wrio's younger than she expected him to be#and neuv is pretty nimble and uses the young male adult model so idk where that person got the idea that they're in like their mid 50s#calling them both “wrio” and “neuv” feels very cursed but there is unfortunately a character limit in the tags#it annoys me that the fandom is completely blind to context and just goes “medium height model equals teenager#and tall height model equals adult" because if the medium height female characters in liyue are any clue that is definitely not the case#ganyu and keqing literally work IN THE GOVERNMENT#hu tao RUNS A FUNERAL HOME#yanfei is a freaking lawyer#they would not be letting teenagers do that#heck this is the case in every nation almost#tighnari runs the whole dang forest ranger thing out in gandharva ville#cyno also literally works for the government and is like their frickin chief of police for the entire frickin country#faruzan is a licensed professor at arguably the most prestigious university in all of teyvat#layla is literally in college and as far as we know is normal college age and isn't doing advanced classes as a teenager#in inazuma ayaka runs their clan's GOVERNMENT WORK along with her brother#kokomi and gorou are literal generals in the army#heizou is a licensed detective

Hi! Do you have any ficus about either Inuyasha and Kagome expecting their first child or inuyasha and mahometanos courting in the feudal era (au/canon divergent)? Thank you!
Hello Nonnie,
We apologize for this ask getting lost in the shuffle!
Since this request was submitted we have put together two lists of Feudal AUs, one which focused on "early marriage". We have linked both lists below.
For this list the team focused on the "expecting first child in the canon era" portion of the ask since we have not previously compiled recs for that topic. (But if you like pregnant Kagome NFSW in both canon or AU-- we did that, too.)
While many fics on this list are one-shots, we also included longer stories where Kagome's pregnancy is a major component of the plot.
Previous Lists
Feudal AU's // Similar to Half-Breed's Wife and Feudal Marriage
InuKag Expecting Their First Child
Up The Wall by Hadi42 (T)
Kagome would like to believe that she's a rational person, but it's not always easy to stay reasonable or calm when Inuyasha just won't get the hint.
A Busted Knee by WakingPriestess (NR)
Kagome takes a tumble while on her way back from attending to a patient. Shippou swears Inuyasha is going to kill him, because a bruise on Kagome is one thing. A bruise on a pregnant Kagome is an entirely different beast.
Get Through This Day by @mamabearcat (T)
A very pregnant Kagome is feeling more than a little stifled under the constant watchful eye of her anxious hanyou husband. A little angst tinged fluff piece for Inuyasha and Kagome. WARNING: Contains multiple mentions of a previous miscarriage. Please don't read if you think this would be upsetting for you.
Together Changed by @goshinote & @lostinfantasyworlds (G)
On his first human night since finding out he’s going to be a father, Inuyasha begins to feel overwhelmed by the idea of impending parenthood. As always, Kagome knows just how to set his mind at ease.
Tiny Miracle by @len-barboza (T)
Post-canon comic collection.
Miracle by @dawnrider (M)
A repost of story of the same name under same pen name originally posted on FF.net in June of 2011, now complete: The Shikon has influenced many lives, particularly Inuyasha and Kagome's. Seems it has one more trick up its sleeve for the young miko and her hanyou companion. Can they roll with the changes, especially when Inuyasha might not be feeling quite himself?
The Sounds Of Love by @mamabearcat (G)
'Inuyasha gazed down at her, his heart swelling as he took in the beautiful picture his pregnant wife made, finally resting in the afternoon sunlight.' So, I felt the need to create some art of a tired and sleepy pregnant Kagome, and a very happy and soft Inuyasha, watching her as she slept. And then I wrote this to go with it. Not much substance to it, just an extremely fluffy moment in time. All the soft Papa Inuyasha feels. Because I want them both to be happy.
InuKag Family (collection) by Reindrops (G)
Just a few works of InuKag fluff that is mostly canon compliant.
Mating Season by @splendentgoddess (X)
FINALLY COMPLETE! 100 Chapters! What was once a cliche PWP is now an epic tale of romance and adventure! See how Inuyasha suffering from "mating season", and a squabble with Kagome over some pocky, sets the dominos in motion for the story of a lifetime!
The Honeymoon Phase by @that-one-nerdy-gal (T)
Kagome has finally returned to the feudal era to live with Inuyasha and the couple couldn't be happier. A few months after Kagome's return however, she can't help feeling like there is something missing from their lives. A collection of one-shots that follow our couple on their journey into to becoming parents. These shorts take place after the events in Final Act, but before Yashahime. (Edit) After watching Yashahime, this is officially cannon divergent and I'm okay with that.
They Great Dog Demon War by @lavendertwilight89 (E)
After Kagome returns through the well to Inuyasha with Naraku and jewel destroyed, they all thought they would would happily ever after. That is, until they end up in war involving Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's uncle, Inu-Touma, and his sons trying to reclaim the land their father took from him. They must fight these new and powerful enemies with their friends risking everything they have to save humankind. Their uncle and cousins reveal their hidden powers and end up sending Kagome back in time and facing new challenges and dangers with the help of her family and friends. How will Inuyasha and his friends save the world without ruining the timeline and reawakening their defeated foes? Will they come out victorious? Or will they fall at the hands of this powerful adversary?
Honey by @little-known-artist (K+)
Kagome was restless, kicking and shoving and wiggling as she tried to sleep. Inuyasha had gotten used to this in the few years they had been married, and held her to him to calm her fussing before he drifted off to dreamland himself.
Blackout by King Baka (E)
*COMPLETE* A night of celebration yields life-altering consequences for Inuyasha and Kagome. Can they weather the storm, or will the consequences of their actions prove too much to handle

Maiden of the Planet: Canon or not?
CloTi nonsense: "Maiden of the Planet isn't canon, so you can't use it for proof!" This argument should automatically be suspect considering that 99.9% of the people spouting this are rabid CloTi fans. Why would they try to discredit an obviously canon novella? Simple- it crushes many of their CloTi ideas It proves that Aerith is over Zack and loves only Cloud, Aerith knows "the real Cloud", and Aerith didn't love Cloud because of Zack. It also strongly hints at Cloud's feelings for Aerith being much more than mere friendship. I will discuss these ideas further in a later essay. Studio Bentstuff and Benny Matsuyama.... Not long after the first chapter of Case of Denzel appeared on the movie website, a complete guidebook to FFVII was also published by Studio Bentstuff named Final Fantasy VII: Ultimania Omega. Besides an indepth guide to the game, it also contained a short story (not related to "On a Way to a Smile") named Hoshi wo Meguru Otome , "The Maiden who Travels the Planet". This story written by Benny Matsuyama focuses on Aerith as she travels the Lifestream and is set about midway through the original FFVII game. Although not written by the original FFVII scenario writer Nojima himself, the work was under the supervision of Square-Enix. Before the release of FFVII:AC, Nomura had approached the staff of Bentstudio and said he wanted a new book made for FFVII so that fans can enjoy the game once again. As the original game is now obsolete (unless you check some old second hand stores), this was probably the best thing to do. Besides an in-depth walkthrough of the game, this 592 paged book contains huge amount of details about FFVII such as detailed analysis of the story and locations, original concept art along with an introduction to the recent Compilation of FFVII series. (Source: http://xcomprandomness.co. uk/ff7novels/) Although not written by Nojima, Maiden of the Planet (MotP) was commissioned by S-E, who then carefully supervised its progress. This means that there is nothing contained in this novella that was not approved by Nojima and Nomura. Why would they commission a novella to be written just to toss it aside as a mere fanfic, as so many CloTi fans claim? Talk about wasting their money. In the weeks before the release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the Final Fantasy VII Ultimania Omega was released to coincide with the fact that many fans would be replaying the original game as a way of refreshing their memories. Final Fantasy VII Ultimania was originally released as a deluxe strategy guide and gaming Bible. However, as has happened with other Square Enix titles, such as Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts, whenever a new edition of the game is released, an updated version of the book is published, entitled Omega, the final letter of the Greek alphabet (used in this case to denote the final version of the book). These updated strategy books often contain new information, side stories or strategy guides to help players beat new bosses or get past newly added sections to the games. Director Tetsuya Nomura approached Studio BentStuff about reissuing the book, and Benny Matsuyama was commissioned to write a short story told from Aerith's perspective, entitled Hoshi wo Meguru Miko, which literally translates as The Holy Maiden who Travels the Planet. Despite the fact that the tale itself was not written by the scenario writer Kazushige Nojima, it was written under the watchful gaze of Square Enix. (Source: http://www.animefringe.com/magazine/2005/12/feature/01-4.php) Once again, Nomura approached Matsuyama about writing the story for him and then S-E kept a watchful eye on what he wrote. So, you can be assured that everything in that novella had to pass inspection before being allowed to be published in the FFVII Ultimania Omega. I would also like to point out that Benny Matsuyama is not just another writer at Studio Bentstuff, he is actually co-director of the company, along with Tezuka Ichiro. Benny has also written more than just MotP for S-E. He also wrote the following: * Musei Renu Haito, Tōbae wa Onore Mazu ("in the abandoned capital where mist never clears up, the first howling comes from me")- a short story set during FFXII's continuity and published in the FFXII Ultimania Omega. * The Whistle You Called With- a short story set from Yuna's point-of-view and describing her reunion with Tidus, published in the FFX-2 Ultimania Omega. * The diary entries in Final Fantasy Dismantled. Matsuyama was also in charge of Dismantled itself, and the whole book was supervised by Square who also gave the materials for it. So, does anyone question the validity of these other written works? No, actually, they don't (not even CloTis). Funny that it is typically CloTis that question the validity of MotP, especially when it slaps a crack in their CloTi doctrine. Double standards much? Why only question this one novella and not the others? Are they really that threatened by it? Studio Bentstuff itself is S-E's primary workhorse when it comes to publishing guidebooks. Actually, Bentstuff has produced a staggering 38 Ultimania guidebooks for Square-Enix, which encompasses not just Final Fantasy, but SaGa, Legend of Mana, Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Vagrant Story, and Kingdom Hearts. Benny Matsuyama has also had a hand in writing portions of some of these Ultimanias as well. Other Written Final Fantasy Works.... CloTis like to assert that MotP cannot be canon because it was written by someone other than Nojima. Well, guess what? MotP isn't the first Final Fantasy novella not written by Nojima. And it sure isn't the only one written for S-E by Matsuyama. * Final Fantasy II - Tsū Muma no Meikyū 1989- novel. Notes: Novelization of Final Fantasy II written by Kenji Terada. The title roughly translates as "Labyrinth of Nightmare." Never released outside of Japan. * Final Fantasy III Yūkyū no Kaze Densetsu - 1992- manga. Notes: Collection of two novellas set in Final Fantasy VII's continuity, written by Kazushige Nojima and published in the book Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Prologue. Notes: Two-volume novelization of Final Fantasy IV. Never released outside of Japan. (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Final_Fantasy_media) I would like to point out that the validity of these other written works is never called into question by anyone, not even CloTi fans. Once again, it sort of makes one wonder what the CloTi angle is, and why they assert that only Nojima can write canon works. Guess what? Nojima didn't write Dirge of Cerberus. It was written by Chiba Hiroki. Are you going to tell me now that an official Compilation game isn't canon because it wasn't written by Nojima? FFVII wasn't written by Nojima either. It was written by Hironobu Sakaguchi (with Tetsuya Nomura). Is FFVII not canon now, too? Contradictions? Does Maiden of the Planet contain contradictions to the original canon? Actually, it is quite fluid with the original storyline and contains very few, if any, contradictions. The ones people bring up are actually contradictions to their interpretation of the original game, typically CloTi fans. I have to say that Maiden fit in just fine with my interpretation of the original game and I can say that for many other ClAeris fans as well. If Maiden contradicts someone's interpretation, then they need to consider that maybe, just maybe, their interpretation is wrong. Also, I'd like to point out that pretty much every addition in the Compilation of FFVII contradicts the original game. At this point, Square-Enix contradicts themselves left and right. It has left a lot of fans angry and disillusioned. But, I digress.... A few examples of other contradictions: * Before Crisis: A female of Red XIII's species, named Dinne, is shown living in Cosmo Canyon at one point. And, yet, in the original game, Red XIII is constantly shown being in despair over being the last of his kind. He and Bugenhagen discuss this together and wonder if Red's species will become extinct after Red passes. And yet Dinne is supposedly right there, according to BC, living in Cosmo Canyon with Red and Bugenhagen and they know all about her. Seriously, S-E? o_0 That is the biggest retcon I found from that game but, believe me, there are plenty more, mostly revolving around the Nibelheim incident. * Crisis Core: This game changed the way Cloud and Zack escaped from Nibelheim as well as Zack's entire death scene. It also changed up the Shinra uniforms and Tifa's outfit (degrading her further by having her dress like a stripper- stupid fanboys! >_<+ ). * Case of Tifa: This novella states that Avalanche went to Kalm to see Elmyra and it was then that Cloud told her about Aerith's death. However, in FFVII, Cait Sith tells everyone in Disc 2 that he'd been to Kalm to deliver the news about Aerith's death to Elmyra. * Advent Children/Complete: The main inconsistencies I've seen here revolve around Materia. Not only are they bigger now than their original marble size, but the colors seem to have changed as well. Kadaj uses a green Materia to summon Bahamut-Sin in AC/C, but in the original game Summon Materia was red. * Last Order: Most of this Anime was completely inconsistent with the original game. The largest retcons, though, involve the actual Nibelheim incident. For example, in the original game, Tifa gets slashed, goes unconscious and never knows that Cloud showed up to fulfill his promise (which is why she reminds him to fulfill it later, when he joins Avalanche). In LO, Tifa gets slashed but stays conscious and sees Cloud there. So, she knows all about Cloud being there and not being a First Class SOLDIER and yet she later lies to him about it? The retcon made Tifa appear to be a liar, like she intentionally deceived Cloud. At least in the original game, she never saw him and had an excuse for deceiving him, because she simply got confused about the events. Also, in the original game, Cloud and Sephiroth struggle in the reactor. Cloud gets impaled, but overcomes the pain, lifting Sephiroth over the railing and tossing him into the reactor below. In LO, Sephiroth impales Cloud and then does a lemming impersonation, committing suicide into the reactor. Way to go... you just took away Cloud's first defeat of Sephiroth and the entire reason Sephiroth was so dead-set on making Cloud suffer (because he was defeated by a "failed experiment" like Cloud). Thanks for ruining the scene and Cloud's entire twisted relationship with Sephiroth, jackwagon. Note: Last Order has since been confirmed as not being a part of the Compilation. I just included it because CloTis cling to it so much with its cheek-stroking and all. XD If you really want to see a list of all of the contradictions throughout the Compilation, I will refer you here. Simply do a search for "The lists [8.2Co]". I haven't read further into this essay, though, so I cannot say if I agree or disagree with other parts of it besides this list. Considering the person who compiled this essay was a CloTi, I am sure there are things in there we wouldn't agree on. ;) One thing we do agree on is that Maiden contains far less inconsistencies than other canon entries in the Compilation of FFVII. Taking all of these inconsistencies into consideration, Maiden actually fits better into the original game's canon than most of the other Compilation entries listed here. It follows the original mythos and storyline (Discs 2 and 3) of the original game and establishes a foundation for AC/C. So, what are the so-called "contradictions" in Maiden? Honestly, the only real inconsistencies I could find that actually mattered and weren't some CloTis nitpicking some inconsequential little things were the following: "Hey Aerith, did you see Cloud's finishing?" Zack guided his energy into the second wave as Meteor was thrown back losing its force. "That was one my sword techniques too. Doesn't it charm you again?" (Maiden of the Planet) CloTis take Zack's boasting to mean that he taught Cloud Omnislash, but he actually says nothing of the sort. He doesn't actually say that he taught Cloud anything, even though it is common knowledge that Zack at least taught Cloud Meteorain. If you read the excerpt again, you'll notice that Zack simply stated that one of Cloud's "finishing" moves, used during Omnislash, was a technique Zack had once created. As we all know, Omnislash is a series of 15 sword attacks. Since Cloud and Zack were once best friends, doesn't it make sense that Cloud might have learned one of the sword slashes used during Omnislash from observing Zack? It is also possible that Cloud learned the whole of Omnislash from observing Zack. Or perhaps Zack did teach Omnislash to Cloud at some point, since Zack is also shown using this particular attack in Ergheiz. This website states (search for "Omnislash" within the document) "You should hold the buttons until Cloud, or Zack, does Omnislash just to be safe". So, no, this excerpt shows no contradiction, despite what some CloTi fans may be saying. Let's move on to the next... "The mad apostate angel smiled boldly. But the damage he had taken was far beyond what he could endure and his spiritual body started to fall apart as he laughed. Beams of light blasted out from inside his body as if they were cutting him apart." (Maiden of the Planet) Maiden insists that Sephiroth smiles and laughs after his defeat in the original game. Fans claim that this does not occur. However, given the quality of the graphics used, how would one know for sure? The expressions on the faces of the characters never changed during a battle. Plus, this game did not contain voice acting. So, how would one know whether Sephiroth smiled and whether he laughed? The technology used to create the game did not allow for such expressions of emotion anyways. So, IMO, this scene in Maiden does not directly contradict the original game. And, honestly, if it did, who cares? Considering the staggering amount of contradictions present throughout the Compilation in other canon entries, trying to prove that inconsistencies exist in Maiden doesn't equate to it being canon or not. More absurdities... Another reason I have heard CloTis mention in regards to Maiden not being canon in their eyes is that it isn't mentioned as an official part of the Compilation of FFVII. Personally, I think this is a ridiculous reason to not consider something canon, but I will cover it anyways because they continue to insist upon it. First of all, I think I should bring up the fact that there is a distinct difference between "being canon" and "being a part of the Compilation of FFVII". "Canon" materials consist of all things that are official. This includes the entirety of the Compilation as well as the Ultimanias (official guidebooks), interviews with the creators, etc... In other words, something doesn't have to be a part of the Compilation to be "canon". For example, the Ultimanias are canon and yet they are typically not considered part of the "Compilation of FFVII". The Compilation of FFVII includes the original game, the On the Way to a Smile novellas, and all of the spin-off games (no matter how craptastic they are). So, if there are materials out there that are canon, but not part of the Compilation, then why does "being a part of the Compilation" mean so much to CloTi fans? Obviously, being categorized as part of the Compilation of FFVII does not denote canonicity. This is just one more reason why I think this argument is absurd and someone really needs to be slapped for saying it. CloTi fans further make themselves seem foolish by claiming that Maiden isn't canon because it isn't mentioned again. Clearly, in their minds, unless something is mentioned constantly in official sources, it isn't canon. o_0 I know, once again, this really makes no sense. Last Order: In the Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary Edition, on page 226, it stated "'Last Order', is an original anime work depicting the situation of Nibelheim event by one's own explanation." There was also a footnote there, which stated that it was "A work outside the Compilation of FF7". In Reunions Files, this was stated about Last Order: "The 'Advent Children Advent Pieces Limited' box set includes an animation entitled 'Last Order'- approximately 30 minutes in length. Last Order's production and script were done by Madhouse. Zack's escape and the Nibelheim incident are explored further in this production, while certain scenes differ slightly from the game's storyline (such as the scene in which Tifa looks at Cloud when he comes to save her). Since a single scene can be subject to multiple interpretations, it was agreed upon to portray them in this way. (p.95) Also, in the FFVII 10th Anniversary Ultimania, it said, "The most distinguishing feature of 'LO' is that, after completing the supplement of FF7 story, it initiated an independent one. For example, 5 years ago, in the Reactor of Nibelheim, Cloud runs to Tifa and their faces meet at each other; Sephiroth flies downward the Reactor. If you consider it a new interpretation to start FF7, then this work can furthermore be enjoyed." Also, from the FFVII 10th Anniversary Ultimania: The feature of 'LO' is that it partially has its own unique interpretation based on 'FFVII'. (Tifa's profile) So, not only is Last Order not considered a part of the Compilation, its canonicity has been called into question. It was called an "original anime work" and the scenes within are called a mere "interpretation" of the events of FFVII. It was also referred to as an "independent" work. It even clearly stated that the script and production were done entirely by an outside source, the animation studio Madhouse. Just how much guidance were they given, if any? It never says. Not only that, but no one who has actually seen LO would actually consider it an accurate representation of the Nibelheim events. It completely bastardizes that sequence of events and warps the storyline to such an extent that the events of the original game no longer make sense. And, then, there is Crisis Core, which came along after Last Order, and actually changed the events back to fit more closely with the original game's canon. So, why am I bringing up Last Order? To make a point- that when something isn't canon, it not only doesn't fit at all with the original game's events, but the creators themselves make statements that ostracize that particular piece of work from the current canon. Have they ever stated anything like this for Maiden? Actually, no. Like I said before, it was commissioned by S-E, who then carefully supervised its creation (unlike LO, which was completely dropped on an outside entity and may or may not have been supervised by S-E). Maiden also fits in almost perfectly with the original game's canon, the novellas, and AC/C (unlike LO, which completely screwed up the entire plot basis for FFVII). Themes from Maiden are also followed-up later in another novella about Aerith, Case of Lifestream: White, which was written by Kazushige Nojima himself. The bottom line is this: Last Order is mentioned quite often, although it was confirmed as not being a part of the Compilation and it's canonicity is highly questionable. So, why would the amount of times something is mentioned matter at all in trying to determine whether something is canon or not? So??? Is Maiden canon or not??? Now that I have proved that all of the CloTi "reasons" for Maiden being not canon are completely bogus, let's focus on why it definitely should be considered canon. It's quite simple- Maiden of the Planet was published in the Final Fantasy VII Ultimania Omega. As I've stated before, all of the Ultimanias are considered canon. They may or may not make it into the list of being a part of the Compilation of FFVII, but they are canon nonetheless. The Final Fantasy VII Ultimania Omega, however, is not only canon but it is considered a part of the Compilation of FFVII. In fact, it is referred to as "the literal edition of 'The Compilation of FF7'" within its own pages (p.3). Since Maiden is contained within the FFVII: UO itself, then it is safe to say that, not only is it canon, it is considered a part of the Compilation of FFVII. What is so amusing is that some CloTis believe all of the Ultimanias are canon except for this one, even when it has been made painfully obvious that is, indeed, canon. Others believe it is canon, but not the story published within it. It's hard for them to accept the truth when Maiden is so brutally ClAeris-slanted, but there it is. If the UO is canon, which it undoubtedly is, then everything within it should be taken as canon, including Maiden.

Genshin Roasts and Funz
Ok so I’ve been saving screenshots from events and quests meaning to make posts about them, but they never make it to actual post status 😭 so i just decided to compile them here as kind of a throwback post
For some reason in the Bake-danuki quest every time snow was involved there was an option to blame Kaeya??? Stop shading my boy mihoyo, he has trauma, he didn’t ask for this.
Madame Ping roasting Yanfei for supposedly being “too busy” during the Lantern Rite
Cloud Retainer getting mad that the other adepti went on their gaycation
Kaeya, Venti? Which one of you did this?
Paimon get roasted by Mihoyo. Like, all she was asking for was like a juicer? or a magic juicer? And the writers literally go out of their way to make her look dumb as hell, have the MC insult her, etc. Like seriously who hurt you?
Backhanded compliment for Xiao, he gets called handsome and short in the same sentence 😭
The Shogun is a weeb confirmed. I’m inclined to think this is true, Miko just passed it off as a joke. Can you imagine... “It’s been 300 years, for celestia’s sake, you’re my girlfriend, the least you could do is bring me some dango!”
I know everyone’s seen this already but this panel is just comedy gold 😭
I love how Paimon always talks about how she hates Childe for being evil but then when we see him again she’s scrambling like crazy to cover for him. She really does care ❤️ And poor aether is just putting up with it.
I see you, Ningguang, making your wife get all your stuff for you. Also, “I compensate her in other ways?!” 👀 that’s bold.
My review of the Enkanomiya event.
Why all these Sangonomiya Samurai like “snake lady hot?” I mean they’re not wrong but I think we’ve got bigger problems guys.
alright, that’s what I got for now, hope you enjoyed.

Hi there! I’m kinda new in the sesskag fandom and after the yashahime mess I wanna drown in fluffy fics lol. Any recs involving sesskag + shippo + rin (plus sesskag oc kids would be awesome) family dynamics? Thank you!
Hi Anon,
I apologize for the delay in response.
I'm in agreement with you on the need for some good fics after Yashahime. We already have a few rec lists that meet your criteria, such as the family/pregnancy list and the have kids list but there have been some new fics posted since then or that we haven’t featured before. I've compiled a list below.
If you need more fluff, I highly recommend checking out our Fluff Serial and Fluff One Shots lists.

Kamisato Ayato: A Meta Analysis (as of 2.6)
You know, even after I decided to try my hand at purely fanfiction writing for fun, I always come crawling back to meta for some reason. Or fear it because of that Beidou thing I promised like a month ago I swear I'm working up the nerve to finish it-
In short: I've heard people complaining about Kamisato Ayato's playing style and when I saw what they were doing, it made perfect sense why. Y'all were building him wrong.
Now I understand that I don't play the game and that my opinion on this matter carries no authority and means jack shit, but as someone who delved in head first to understand the mechanics of the gameplay out of interest, I feel as if Ayato is a decent character to play based on the information and gameplay I've seen so far.
By the way, for those of you who don't know, the following weapons and artifacts aren't F2P friendly because I'm making a point. Everything else, on the other hand, should be relatively easy to gather and get as they are build suggestions and are easily (?) attainable in other artifacts and weapons.
Introduction + Statements:
If any of you remember the audacious claim I made about a month ago, I said that Kamisato Ayato would rearrange the DPS listings in terms of outperforming some of the higher ones.
Now that Ayato is out and available to play with, it appears that I was only half-right as his toolkit isn't what most people were expecting. If you know how I see playable characters, my firm belief is that there are no bad characters, only bad or mediocre players who don't utilize them correctly.
Seeing as Keqing Mains, Gamespot, and most of the other avenues I use have yet to compile any relevant builds or information as they practice a vigilant thoroughness and attention concerning this, the assumptions and conclusions I come up with are my own views on this and may or may not become outdated with time and discovery (along with patches, I feel Yae Miko mains and their pain as well).
So to start this off, I will be looking at his toolkit, skillsets, weapon, and ideal artifact sets (Haran Geppaku Futsu), according to the information compiled on the Genshin Impact Wiki at the highest levels possible.
Kamisato Ayato - Basic Build (Weapons + Constellations):
Basic Statistics
Health Points: 13,715 Attack: 299 Defense: 769 Critical Hit Rate: 5% Special Stat: CRIT Damage of 38.4% Fighting Style: Sword, melee/AoE
Attacks
Kamisato Art - Marobashi (Normal Attack): Five rapid consecutive strikes, Charged Attack takes stamina and delivers one forward slash Takimeguri Kanka: After shifting positions to enter this state, leaves a watery illusion behind that deals AoE Hydro Damage upon an enemy being nearby or after it hits its duration Kamisato Art - Kyouka (Elemental Skill): After entering the 'Takimeguri Kanka' state, will rapidly hit enemies with slashes of AoE Hydro Damage (Shunsuiken); hits from this state will grant a stack of then 'Namisen' effect (gaining one only every tenth of a second) which increases Damage based on his Max HP and increases resistance to interruption, the maximum stacks being four Kamisato Art - Suiyuu (Elemental Burst): Creates an AoE that causes watery blades to descend, dealing Hydro Damage and increasing Normal Damage to those within it
Passive Abilities
Kamisato Art - Mine Wo Matoishi Kiyotaki: After using the Elemental Skill, gains two stacks of Namisen and upon the illusion exploding, gains the maximum amount of stacks Kamisato Art - Michiyuku Hagetsu: When not on-field and the energy is less than 40, will recharge two energy points per second until 40 is reached
Constellations
Kyouka Fuushi: Elemental Skill Damage increases by 40% on opponents with 50% HP or less World Source: Namisen stacks are increased to a maximum of five and three stacks or more increase Max HP by 50% To Admire the Flowers: Maxes out Elemental Skill Endless Flow: After using Elemental Burst, every team member's Attack Speed increases by 15% for fifteen seconds Bansui Ichiro: Maxes out Elemental Burst Boundless Origin: After using Elemental Skill, every Shunsuiken attack has two additional slashes, each one dealing 450% of the Attack as Damage (not affected by Namisen)
Weapon
Haran Geppaku Futsu: All Elemental Damage Bonus increases by 24%, every time a nearby party member uses an Elemental Skill, a Wavespike stack is gained, the maximum being two; when the weapon is used, Wavespike stacks are consumed to increase Normal Attack Damage by 40% for eight seconds; the substat is a CRIT Rate of 33.1%
Artifact Sets
Echoes of an Offering (4): The two-set bonus is an 18% Attack Damage increase and the four-set bonus is that when a Normal Attack hits, there's a 36% chance that it will trigger the effect of 70% Normal Attack Damage based off of the Attack; in the event that this effect isn't triggered, the chances of it being triggered with the next Normal Attack increases by 20% every two-tenths of a second
Pale Flame (4): The two-set bonus has a Physical Damage Bonus of 25% and the four-set bonus gives increased Attack Damage of 9% for seven seconds; if this ability stacks twice (one stack every third of a second), it will also increase the two-set bonus by 100% (50%) for it’s duration
Heart of Depth (4): The two-set bonus has a 15% Hydro Damage Bonus and the four-set bonus gives 30% more Normal/Charged Attack Damage for fifteen seconds after an Elemental Skill is used
Noblesse Oblige (4): The two-set bonus has a 20% Elemental Burst Damage Bonus and the four-set bonus gives a 20% Attack Damage Boost to all party members for twelve seconds (cannot be stacked)
Important Note: This is purely speculative and based on various builds and types of gameplay for multiple DPS types one might wish to see. Other artifact pairings include any match of Pale Flame, Shimenawa's Reminiscence, Bloodstained Chivalry, and Gladiator's Triumph for the respective two-set bonuses of 25% Physical Damage Bonus and 18% Attack Damage
Artifact Stats
The Flower and the Plume are already a given (flat HP and flat Attack), but in terms of the Circlet, Goblet, and Sands, the main stats should primarily center around Attack Damage %, Energy Recharge, CRIT Rate, CRIT Damage, Hydro Damage % and Physical Damage % while the substats can consist of CRIT Rate, CRIT Damage, Attack (flat), Attack Damage %, and Energy Recharge
So based on this information, I have come to the conclusion that ideally, Kamisato Ayato's DPS capabilities in gameplay is primarily Physical Damage. Combining this with the desirable artifacts (Artifact Sets) for this basis, here are my suggestions and ideal builds on the use of Kamisato Ayato as a Main DPS, Burst DPS, and Sub DPS.
Gameplay:
Kamisato Ayato as a DPS, based on what I've seen from his toolkit, would be ideal if there was a heavy emphasis on Hydro Damage and Physical Damage in terms of the artifacts given and his base stats because he has the capability to be well-rounded for both.
The information below is my recommendation of which talents to level up in order to recieve the best usage for Ayato based on the constellations specifically.
C0: Elemental Burst > Normal Attack > Elemental Skill Heavy emphasis on the Burst mechanics and the Damage done with his Normal Attacks C1-C3: Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack Heavy emphasis on building Damage for the Skill and the use of it during his Burst C4-C6: Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack Heavy emphasis on the Burst as it enhances his Skill
This approach based on his utility, in my opinion, seems to fit well with his tool kit. This can easily be subject to change once patches are introduced and depending on what he's being used for, but overall, I find that it relatively holds up the same. However, I also find that building this per according to the role you want him to take on your team, you can also follow these suggestions below.
Main DPS Kamisato Ayato -
Elemental Skill = Normal Attack > Elemental Burst Artifact Sets: Echoes of an Offering (4) or Gladiator's Triumph (2)/Heart of Depth (2) > Heart of Depth (4) or Pale Flame (4)
This is operating under the assumption that Ayato will be some sort of main carry, which is why his tailored artifact set would be the optimal choice. However, if you want to emphasize on his Hydro Damage specifically in tandem with his toolkit, the Heart of Depth/Gladiator's Triumph combo is a good way to go.
You may see the Pale Flame artifact set as a very interesting choice, but the four-set bonus leans heavily on the Elemental Skill and combined with his five-star weapon, you have an extremely powerful melee-style DPS that will hit decent numbers. The Heart of Depth artifact set is what most people farmed for and rightly so, for it also relies heavily on his Elemental Skill.
In this case, main stats for these artifacts should be geared towards Hydro Damage or Physical Damage, Attack %, and CRIT Damage while the substats should go towards Energy Recharge, CRIT Rate, Attack %, Attack (flat), and CRIT Damage. The ideal ratio for CRIT Rate to CRIT Damage in this build is 1 to 2.5.
The reason that I don't hold his burst in high importance here is that althoguh it covers a wide AoE, it's not good in terms of applying the Wet effect as well as other Hydro characters. In this state, it also enhances his Normal Attacks and his Elemental Skill, so I would max those two things out so that the Burst's effects would be maximized with it's usage.
Burst DPS/Sub DPS Kamisato Ayato -
Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack Artifact Sets: Noblesse Oblige (4) > Heart of Depth (2)/Noblesse Oblige (2) > Gladiator's Triumph (2)/Heart of Depth (2)
A bold declaration sure, but one to be made nonetheless. The reason that I don't have the Echoes of an Offering artifact set in mind for this build is because it's four-set bonus is not ideal for the purpose of this build as a Burst/Sub DPS.
This build is meant for the maximum utilization of Ayato's Elemental Burst, which gives a boost to every party member and also enhances his own abilities, as given by the suggestion of Noblesse Oblige as the number one choice.
Another choice if you want more damage to come out of the Elemental Burst specifically is the Heart of Depth/Noblesse Oblige combo with the Hydro Damage Bonus and the Elemental Burst Damage Bonus. Gladiator's Triumph in the Heart of Depth/Gladiator's Triumph combo can also be swapped out with Echoes of an Offering as it has the same two-set bonus.
In this case, main stats for these artifacts should be geared towards Hydro Damage Bonus, Energy Recharge, and CRIT Damage while the substats should go towards Energy Recharge, CRIT Rate, Attack %, and CRIT Damage. The ideal ratio for CRIT Rate to CRIT Damage in this build is 1 to 3.
Now that this is out of the way, I will take the time this to address some comparisons and misconceptions.
Final Statements:
I fully intend on calling people out when I say: Kamisato Ayato is a good solid DPS, but he is not Childe.
Let me repeat myself.
Kamisato Ayato does not equal Childe.
Yes, I gave him a Burst DPS build that could be interpreted as similar to Childe's in some ways, but for the love of all things good in this world, this does not mean that he has the same playstyle as Childe.
Childe's specialty lies in his Riptide status effect that keeps his enemies afflicted with the Wet status and does continuous damage. Ayato does not have that. Sure, he has his exploding illusion, but normal Hydro status is not Riptide Status. Childe also does an explosive amount of Hydro Damage at once while Ayato does a set amount of Hydro Damage more consistently, in which I can positively say that any comparison of numbers is up to mostly a difference in gameplay rather than buffs or nerfs.
If you think I'm simply being partial, then you are simply wrong, as I have covered DPS Childe's playing style extensively. You can find the link for my analysis on Childe's gameplay here.
Conclusion:
In summary, there are a profoundly deafening lack of people in this community that know how to search up a few sites, read basic statistics, and apply some data to their playable characters.
I'm not exapserated at the players that are trying their best or those who are genuinely playing the game for the story line. No, I turn my ire at the cacophony of bitching and moaning over Ayato's release and his gameplay, because for the love of God I don't even play the damn game and yet I still feel the need to tell folks to stop clowning.
At this point, really, I'm not even all that surprised any more as the community at large has a less than savory reputation. Yes, some clickbait channels tried to go 'Ayato weak not worth rolling' but these are clickbait channels. They're almost always wrong anyways. Of course, I am aware of some streamers and folks saying 'ehh character no good' and people clowning others just for building characters outside popular opinion.
This is almost enough to chase me out, but if there's one thing I am, it's stubborn as hell and ready to talk about whatever might be a problem. Other people call it spite. It doesn't really matter what they call it becuase at the end of the day, the truth of the matter is quite simply this:
There are no bad characters. Only bad players.
This concludes my Kamisato Ayato analysis. So go sip some boba tea, make some suspicious food, and go joke around with the fellows.
This is your meta junkie, signing off until next time.

Miko’s Termination
So, the email application on our work phones like to log you out occasionally and apparently that's what happened to me sometime late last week. I kept checking it each day and found it strange 4th-7th that I had no email push notifications, not even auto-emails, so I thought I was doing well work-wise. Last week I'd felt quite confident and happy with the work I'd done, successful even.
I wake up around 11:30am today to see I have missed texts, calls, and a couple voicemails. Apparently I had a meeting this morning at 10am with my immediate boss that I had no clue about AND NEVER CONFIRMED. Opened the email application, logged in, and saw maybe 7 emails from the 3rd-7th, including the one from the immediate boss saying I did a poor job at three different stores last week when she visited the 4th.
Dollar Tree was minor (old signage I hadn't tossed yet, and loose cards, which is confusing. Did customers miss the pocket or did Dollar Tree put my go backs there?), a Walgreens had some xmas gift like things still up, which okay. And then apparently Hannaford was trashed despite my being there the 3rd and doing the best I could with what I had available to me. There was no new stock to put out, so I straightened. Then she asked to meet me this Tuesday, 7th at 10am.
Also had an email from immediate boss' boss saying they both tried contacting me this morning (whilst I was sleeping as I had no clue something was wrong), and to call Sharon immediately.
As I'm composing my email to boss and boss' boss explaining what had happened, I get 5 consecutive/broken up texts from boss' boss saying something about an incident at a different Walgreens before xmas (WHAT is she talking about, I'm thinking?) and that they're processing my termination today and to leave my work phone at a Walgreens.
So I compile the email, explain the email app logging out thing, mention that I don't like being coddled or hovered over as boss is apt to do, mention the box wasn't at my disposal last week and I looked for it and that this year I was doing a far better job than I ever managed last year. Forgot to mention I had no clue what the issue at Brewer Walgreens before xmas was. Sent it off to boss, boss's boss and a few other boss-like people in the area I'd met previously and who liked and supported me the few times we met and worked together.
In short, breakdown in communication and confirmation leads to my getting fired before I can even defend myself.
Good news is I was only unemployed for two hours as the decision about the Assistant Tech Director was made today (whether or not it was because they saw my situation or I was really the best fit for the job, I’m uncertain) and I was chosen!
#luckily i was mostly mad during those two hrs though i did worry about my bday trip coming up...#miko things

Photo
29TH AUGUST 2015
Her clothes were covered in mud, stains of muck clung to the skin on her knees from hours of kneeling down in the forest, there was dirt under her nails. She hadn’t been this unclean since... since she was running for her life, through a forest not unlike this, terrified and alone. It felt such a long time ago, and sometimes only yesterday, she’d found that since she was taken time could either go very quickly or tremendously slow. In reality it had been months, she knew because she counted, tracked the days whether she liked it or not. 132. Since she was taken. 125. Since she escaped. It would be exactly 4 months tomorrow. A lifetime. And no time at all. Time was meant to heal all wounds but Tami still carried hers, some tucked away in her heart and others that were clearer to see.
For the last part of the school year she spent every day with gloves fit snugly over her hands, right up to her elbows, hadn’t dared to take them off unless she had a moment alone, even then it was difficult. The first few days here too, she wore gloves every minute she was working, long sleeves to cover the rest of her arms as best she could. She couldn’t even quite remember when she took them off, mid-task perhaps, when it became obvious she needed use of nimble fingers to get the job done and had discarded her shields without a second thought. She didn’t even notice at first, by the time she did it was only because someone else had, their gaze lingering on her skin reminding her of marks she’d bear for the rest of her life. For a sickening moment she had been so terrified- horrified, even, perhaps- that anyone had seen them at all and had made an effort to pull her sleeves as low as she could. The stranger- she still didn’t know their name- had smiled softly and shook there head. We all have scars. They’d shown her theirs, broken jagged lines across the back of their calf, they told her their story and she told them hers, not as alone as she thought. The next day she left her gloves in her room, began wearing t-shirts that had seen no use for the past few days, her skin no doubt thanked her for the streams of sun she allowed to look upon it.
But still, as she put her phone back into her short’s pocket, her brows furrowed. It was hard to ignore, the licks of discolouration that crawled all the way from her hands up towards her elbows, on her fingers and palms it resembled something close to marbling. They didn’t look like her hands. They weren’t red though, not any more, the colouring was not completely unlike her own but she could see the difference and feel it too, she was more vulnerable in these healing places and had spent months of massaging and tending to the skin to reach a point where the gloves were mere accessory and not a protection against sensitivity. She rubbed her fingertips together and huffed, still not completely fine.
Turning on the balls of her feet, she headed back towards the guesthouse, stretching her arms up above her head as she went. As thick as the forest was, sunlight still broke through between the branches, casting shadows across the ground and blasting her with moments of warmth until she stepped out of the streams. She weaved her way through temporary workbenches and odd stalls that were being pulled into their rightful place by groups compiled of a diverse mix. She left prints in the ground as she walked, picking up mud in the grips of her trainers, when she reached the steps up to the guesthouse she slipped her shoes off and socks with them, padding barefoot up the steps while banging her trainers together, dirt scattering from them back onto the ground, she kept them off as she went through the front door into the entrance. The woman behind the front desk looked up and offered a smile as she passed, Tami gave a nod of recognition and carried on up the stairs, following a careful path along wooden planks as she headed down the corridor- stand on a crack, break your mother’s back, as she’d heard people say- until she finally reached her room.
She’d left the window open, the screens down, it was cool and she was immediately grateful for it. Her trainers were placed by the door, she kicked it shut with the back of her heel, and no sooner had she took a step into the room was she peeling her top up over her head and tossing it to a washing basket in the corner of the room. Padding through into the bathroom, she turned the shower on with a twist of a nob, headed back to the main room to find her brush. There was a full-length mirror in the room, as she passed she spared it a glance, making it two steps beyond before she stepped backwards into frame and turned her body towards the glass. Her skin was darker than a week before, she hadn’t noticed but now, stood in her sports bra and shorts, she could see how the sun had kissed her arms and legs but had yet touched her stomach or chest. Her hair was longer too, she had cut her hair at the start of summer, seeking to connect to some part of her heritage and simultaneously distance herself from parts of her own history. It was long now though, falling past her shoulders, her bangs threatening to overtake her brows any day now and become a nuisance to her sight. More than all of that, she looked at her arms dangling by her sides, the flares of differentiation in her skin, touched by fire and branded as such. When she stood like this, eyes searching the reflection before her, she barely recognised herself. She seemed to be someone who’d seen more of the world, someone who’d been more worn down and broken apart by it, dare she say, someone who had found her feet again. Dirt under her nails, mud on her knees, sweat on her skin. Older, wiser, harder. This is what the world made of her and she had yet to decide whether or not she liked that, whether she was quite ready to lose who she used to be. She wondered whether she’d ever truly had a choice in the matter.
A deep breath later and Tami turned away from herself, found her brush and shed out of the rest of her clothes at the bathroom door, before she showered. She walked around her room in a towel afterwards, hair dripping onto her back, hauled her suitcase onto the bed to pick through her things and find something for the BBQ. When her phone buzzed, she nearly missed it, the sound not registering for the first two bursts and when it finally did she had to route through her pile of clothes on the floor to find it in her shorts. She answered the call as she adjusted her legs to sit more comfortably on the floor, smiling just a little at her father’s patchy greeting.
“I did tell you the reception is terrible here,” She reminded with a roll of her eyes. “Is everything ok? I’m getting ready for dinner.”
“Dinner? I hope you’re eating well.”
“I don’t think I’ve ate so much, I’ve earned it though... And you didn’t answer me question.”
“I bet you have,” He paused, voice gentle when he continued, “Everything is fine, sweetheart, it’s just-”
“Just what?” She sat up straighter, her brows furrowing. “Dad, what is it? Is it you? Mum? Tell me, I can come back home right now if I have to.”
“No, no, we’re all fine. I just have some unfortunate news, Miko...” The phone crackled and Tami picked at her thumb impatiently. When her father spoke again the disappointment in his voice was so heavy it made her shoulders slump, “We’ve just had confirmation this morning, the Ministry came to a decision, Rowland Foley’s not getting his job back.”
“What?” Voice a whisper, she curled in on herself slightly and shook her head. “I don’t understand, he didn’t do anything wrong, why would they do this?”
“I’m sorry, sweetheart, I know how much you liked him. This isn’t what any of us wanted, but right now this isn’t a decision we can fight.”
“No, I-” It dawn on her then how important this had been to her father too, how much work had gone into getting Rowland into Hogwarts in the first place, the amount of time and energy the whole organisation had put into find him support, gathering the right evidence, building up a case just so he could do a job he was more than qualified for. A shaky breath left her, eyes squeezing closed when she continued, “I’m sorry, I know how hard you worked to get him there.”
“It’s been a long day but don’t worry about me, we worked hard once and we’ll do it again, this is what we do.”
“I can come home, I can help with your work, I can-”
“No, no, stay there. Enjoy your last few days, you’ll be home soon enough, don’t let this ruin the time you have left. I’ll leave you to get ready so eat well and I’ll see you soon, alright, Miko?”
“Alright. I love you, dad.”
“I love you too.”
The call went silent and she dropped her phone into her lap, her gaze falling to the floor. No more Professor Foley. It made her chest ache to think of the castle without him, not just because he was wise and kind and honest, but because it had taken him so long to get there. He had fought so much for his right to belong in Hogwarts, he had undergone intense interrogation and months of campaigning, ridiculed by strangers for wanting to find a place for himself in society, and it had all amounted to nothing.
They fought and they fought, and it always ended with nothing.
#periculumplot#[ drabbles ]#e: summer 2015#scars tw#the plot stuff is riiighhhtttt at the end but I thought I'd go with a full on update on Tami's mental state while I'm at it

All Nine Autobot Results for “Which Autobot Would be Best Suited as Your Guardian?” Quiz.
@minerfromtarn expressed the desire to read all the Autobot results for the “Which Autobot Would be Best Suited as Your Guardian?” quiz that has been circling around.
Going through all the posts and taking the quiz a dozen or so times, I compiled a list of the nine Autobot results – Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Arcee, Bulkhead, Cliffjumper, Smokescreen, Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT I DID NOT CREATE THIS QUIZ – AND AS SUCH, DID NOT WRITE THESE RESULTS!
Both the quiz and results are credited to Vulcanlover12 on Quotev.
(all results under the cut)
Smokescreen
It looks like you got the youngest of Team Prime as your guardian! Smokescreen would most definitely volunteer for the position, as he always has so much fun hanging around Jack and Miko and Raf. Optimus would be hesitant to give him such a weighty responsibility, but upon Smokescreen’s enthusiastic insistence, he would leave the decision up to you. And, honestly, who could refuse this precious sunshine boy? He’s probably going to be the easiest friend you’ve ever made, he just adores everything about you! He’ll always be doing his best to make sure you’re happy and content, no matter what! I hope you like lots of laughter and fun and affection, because you will never be in short supply whenever Smokescreen’s around.
Here’s some tidbits based on some of the questions:
Smokescreen is so excited to finally be a guardian, he wants to get to know as much about you as much as he can, as quickly as he can. You might have to tell him to slow down a little, and he will willingly back off to give you some space if you need it. Please be patient with him, he’s excited to have a new friend. He’ll be asking you questions constantly within the first week of getting to know each other - he’s soon going to know all your favorite things and will be able to list them alphabetically, no problem. Question games like 20 Questions and Would You Rather are among his favorite ways to get to know someone, so be prepared to ask some of your own. He’ll love sharing his past with you, telling you about becoming an Elite Guardsman and working with Alpha Trion at Iacon. Don’t be surprised if he brags a little - he’s just trying to impress you. You do have the best guardian in Team Prime, after all!
I hope you like sleepovers, because sleepovers are definitely inbound when you become Smokescreen’s charge. He and Miko always team up together to make the absolute best nights of your lives, every one seeming to become more fun than the last. Smokescreen would totally let all of you sleep on his chassis, but Optimus would advise against it for fear of one of you rolling off in your sleep and hurting yourselves. Brace yourself, though - you’re going to be staying up a while, and with how much of an early bird Smokescreen is, he’s going to be the first one up and will already be chomping at the bit to get the new day started. If you yourself are an early bird, you’ll have to remind him to let the others rest. He’ll protest a little, but if you do something with him like watch TV while you eat breakfast, he’ll be okay. So long as he’s occupied, the others will be none the wiser. He’d really like it if you went up to the top of the base with him to watch the sunrise. He’d practically beg you to sit on his shoulder, so you could ‘have a better view’. (It’s okay, Smokescreen, we know she’s cute, don’t worry. You just keep working your Destiny’s Child™ magic.)
Smokescreen would really enjoy watching you do your makeup, seeing what colors you picked out and how you would blend them. He’d like playing with your hair, too, and he’d be very careful if you let him brush it. He’d like running his digits through it, feeling how soft it is, but let’s just pray he snags or tangles them up in your hair only once or twice - it will happen occasionally, and he’ll feel bad every time. He’d love it no matter what style you have, too - whether it’s short or long or in between, it’s yours and he loves the color! (It’s a shock to him to find out that you can cut it, though - “Wait, you mean that stuff actually grows? And it doesn’t hurt to cut it?” You’ll have to explain you don’t have any actual feeling in the hair itself, just where it’s attached to your scalp. He’ll laugh, quite fascinated. “That’s weird, man - humans are so weird!”)
The number one way to get Smokescreen pumped for something is to start playing music - pick out a song on your phone and he’ll immediately start dancing, sometimes pulling you in to join him. Even if you aren’t a good dancer, he’ll show you some moves, don’t worry about it! It is literally impossible to make yourself look bad in front of this sunshine boy - he adores you too much to think of you as anything less than amazing. He’ll definitely let you sync up your phone with his radio, and if you go on patrol with him, it’s guaranteed that he’s going to have your tunes blasting over his audio system. He’ll try his best to sing along, even if he doesn’t know all the words - but damn, does this boy have a singing voice! He could’ve gone to Broadway, you know, had he not been born a twenty-foot alien robot. He doesn’t have a particular favorite genre, as he’s listening to something new and different all the time, and he’ll comment on things that he likes about every new song. (You’ll start playing songs by Destiny’s Child as a joke, and when he asks you who they’re by you’ll just say, “You,” with a really big grin. He doesn’t get it until he has Raf look it up on his laptop.)
Smokescreen loves flowers, and in that, he’d probably end up liking springtime the best. He would totally bring you flowers, even if he isn’t your significant other - he tends to like the little wildflowers that grow on the side of the road, and he’ll stop at an empty section of wherever he’s patrolling and pick you some. He’ll be careful not to squish them mid-transformation, and he’ll present them to you upon his return to base with the happiest, beaming smile you’ve ever seen. He’d love it if you made them into a flower crown and wore it like a princess, and if he picked enough that you could make him one, too, he would very nearly squeal in delight. He’d beg Miko to take a picture of you together, you perched on his shoulder and leaning against his helm. (“Look! We match!”) He’d ask Miko and Raf to make him a copy so he could keep it in his subspace. In those very rare, very far-in-between moments whenever he’s feeling down or discouraged with himself, he’ll pull it out and look at it until he feels better. It works every time, and he eventually considers it to be a good luck charm.
Sometimes, Smokescreen will confide in you, especially if you’re a natural listener. He’ll tell you about his hopes for the future, about how he wants to make Optimus Prime proud and prove his worth to the team. He’ll tell you about Alpha Trion, and admit how much he misses Cybertron. He’ll share his doubts, too, if he’s not feeling very good about himself - how he wonders about his value to Team Prime, or if he’s ever going to do something right and like the other Autobots want him to. You have to remind him that he’s still learning, and that nobody does anything perfectly - not even Optimus Prime or Ultra Magnus. They make mistakes, just like he does - and, sometimes, things just happen that nobody can control or change. Learning is a part of life, and Smokescreen just hasn’t had as much time to experience as many things as the other Autobots have. His optics will light up and he’ll pull you up into a loving but gentle hug, his door wings fluttering, his spark swelling up in its chamber and his cooling fans kicking on as he murmurs his immense gratitude to you. He always comes away feeling ten times better than he was before, and it’s moments like those that he’ll thank Primus and whatever other deities that were out there that they gave someone like you to someone like him. He thinks he doesn’t really deserve you, so make sure you reassure him of how important he is to you, too. But Smokescreen confiding in you means that he will definitely be open to listening to you vent whenever you need it! He’s probably only second to Ratchet in regards to being a good person to vent to. He’ll let you get all that you want to say out before speaking himself, and he’ll make sure he understands everything about what’s going on before he gives you any advice on what to do. He’ll comfort you if you need it, and he’ll cuddle with you without argument, even if you don’t ask for it. He hates to see you upset or having a hard time, and he’ll promise to fight whoever is giving you trouble. He won’t even use his energon cannons, either! He promises!
You’d better get ready to teach a completely clueless alien about human culture, because Smokescreen is greener than any of the other Autobots, as they’ve already resided on Earth for quite a while and have had time to adapt. He adjusts to it better than Ultra Magnus, though, because of how young his mentality is. He’s very open to everything you tell him, and he expresses an immense interest in anything that pertains to you or the other humans directly. He’d love comic books, especially science fiction, and if you were to buy him any he’d be thoroughly enamored. But with pop culture also comes road etiquette - Jack may have taught him Driver’s Ed 101, but Smokescreen still doesn’t know all the manners that comes with sharing the road with other humans. You wouldn’t want him getting yelled at or potentially pulled over only for the cop to realize this car doesn’t have a driver. (As funny as you both think that’d be, you still insist that Smokescreen let you sit in the driver’s seat, even if he’s still driving, just to keep up appearance’s sake. He’d let you, anyway, though - he loves having your company while driving.)
Despite how it may seem, given his somewhat reckless and irresponsible personality, Smokescreen’s quarters are, in actuality, very tidy and well-kept. He knows where everything is, and though he may not have much in his possession, he’ll share any old holopads Alpha Trion had given him that contain stories with you. You suggest that he let Optimus look at them, too - and, as it would turn out, most of Smokescreen’s favorite stories are Optimus’ as well, and they start trading books to read. If Optimus lends him an actual human-sized book (which most of them probably are, at this point), Smokescreen will have you read it to him. He says he likes when you do different voices for the characters. He’ll read his to you, too, if you ask him. His voice is very soothing to listen to, when he’s calm and focused - you’ll quickly lose yourself to this other world that he constructs within your mind with his words. You’ve fallen asleep leaning against him multiple times due to this, and he’ll always smile softly before laying back and letting you rest on his chassis, soon joining you in recharge while listening to your breathing. He’ll wake you up the next morning by stroking your back gently with his digits and humming an ancient song from Cybertron.
Smokescreen would be so protective of you, but it’s not really the aggressive type of protectiveness - it’s more like a passive type, in all honesty. (“He’s the one that insulted you?” You nod. “I’m going to punch him.” “Smokescreen, no.” “Smokescreen, yes.”) He, by no means, would ever actually consider harming a human, and would talk circles around beating up your adversaries at school just to make you flustered by his attention and distract you from any hurt feelings that you might’ve obtained. He’d comfort you when needed, and reassure you that no other human would ever live up to you or your importance to him. He makes it his goal to have you giggling and smiling before he’s through with you. The only time he would actually get aggressive is if you were physically hurt. He would fuss over you, take you to Ratchet to make sure you’re okay and all that, of course - he’d ask about what happened surprisingly calmly (worryingly calmly), before his optics would dim with sadness and he’d pull you up against his helm so he could nuzzle you and comfort you. But, after you were either returned home or asleep in his berthroom, he would go cruising around town to see if he could find your aggressor. If they were to be out, he would then proceed to scare the living daylights out of them by chasing them and threatening to run them over. He wouldn’t actually hurt them, oh no, but he would give them a very strong warning against raising a hand to you in the future. You would definitely scold him if you were to find out about it, but he wouldn’t feel very bad about it unless you gave him very strong reasoning for it. Anyone who would hurt his human should pay for it in kind.
Smokescreen would so give everyone nicknames, and you can’t tell me otherwise - except maybe Optimus and Ultra Magnus, because he respects (at least one of) them. They might not be anything extravagant, mainly derivatives of the others’ names (“'Cee” for Arcee, “'Bee” for Bumblebee, “Bulk” for Bulkhead - stuff like that), and the same would most likely apply to you. He might call you 'human’ though, or maybe 'squishy’ if you’re alone and he’s wanting to tease you. 'Half-pint’ and 'Shortcake’ might show up occasionally, especially if you’re on the shorter end of the height scale. If you tend to have a feisty personality, he might call you 'Firecracker’ or 'Firespark’. But, if you were to become his significant other, pet names will certainly make frequent appearances. 'Babe’ will be among the most common, as well as 'angel’. Smokescreen would absolutely adore any pet/nickname you could give him. 'Smokey’ would definitely make him flustered, as well as 'Sunshine’. (Also, I recommend that you call him 'my prince’. He would absolutely shut down before arming you up and covering you in smooches.)
Smokescreen would go all out for your birthday and Christmas, practically begging Fowler to deliver whatever he’s gotten Raf to order online. He’s try his absolute hardest to wrap the parcel(s), but he’d probably end up having to ask June to do it for him. She’d let him pick out which color wrapping paper and ribbon he’d want, to compensate so he wouldn’t feel bad. He’d most likely pick red, white and blue or blue and yellow, depending at what paint job he’s got. He’d present it to you with a beaming grin and fluttering door wings, insisting that you open in immediately. It’ll most likely be something you’ve mentioned you wanted before, or maybe a pretty decorative piece/painting. He’d also be totally down for getting you a cute coffee mug. (If you get him something in return, he would melt into a puddle of molten meddle and rattling cooling fans.)
Cliffjumper
It looks like you got Cliffjumper as your guardian! You probably encountered the Autobots a lot earlier than Jack, Raf, and Miko did, so you’ve known the Autobots far longer and are more familiar with them. The newer three humans would be thankful for your presence and experience in Cybertronian matters, and you inadvertently become a cultural mediator between them and the millennia-old ‘Bots. Cliffjumper would have thrown himself hole-heartedly into the idea of being your guardian, and he would have adored the very ground you walked on. His loss, not only striking the team a hard blow, proved the hard truth of their war to you. However, it would most likely cement your loyalty to the Autobots’ cause and make you strive to support them in every way that you could. Cliffjumper wouldn’t want you to grieve, and though it was hard loosing him, you remind yourself that he cared deeply for you and that he would want you to keep living your life.
But, enough of the sads. Let’s get on to some fun tidbits based on some of the questions!
Cliffjumper would so be for going outside at all times of the day to just sit and enjoy the weather - rain, sun, or snow, he’s going to practically beg you to go outside with him all the time. He loves to take the longer patrol routes for this reason, so make sure to kick back and make yourself comfortable in his cab if you do decide to go with him. At least he’s good at entertaining - you’ll never be bored, with all the tales he’ll be spinning to make you laugh. He loves Earth wholeheartedly, to be completely honest. He’s glad that he got to come here, and he enjoys all the cultural and geographical features that our home planet holds that differ so greatly from Cybertron’s. He’s all about exploring and scouting new areas, and sometimes he’ll sneak you off to some place he found that he’d thought you would like. (This has caused Agent Fowler many causes for ire, at times.)
If there’s one thing that’s obvious, it’s that Cliffjumper just loves having fun. It literally doesn’t matter what the activity could be: he loves rocking out to music, dancing like no one’s watching, hooting over a sport on TV, watching movies - anything. He’s among the most energetic of the Autobots, only second to Smokescreen, and he’s got to burn off some of that steam somehow! And he would totally adore it if you joined him in anything that he’s doing - it’s the number one way to get him smiling and excited. He would so be down for sweeping you up in his servos and dancing to whatever tune he’s got blaring over his radio system - he might even use mass displacement occasionally so he can actually dance with you. (Be cautious, he has a tendency to accidentally step on his partners’ toes.)
Cliffjumper listens only to country/western. No exceptions. His selection expands from the early days to the most recent single, and I sincerely hope that you enjoy listening to it, because that’s all he’s ever going to play. He’ll let you play your music, too, don’t get him wrong - but he just loves this genre to bits and pieces and no one knows why. (Arcee has admitted to you that she’s heard him belting out Brad Paisley while taking a decon-shower before. Cliffjumper has got quite the voice, that is for certain.)
Cliffjumper would totally be down to have a car wash in the summer time - he enjoys basking in the sun, and he loves his paintjob to be spotless, so why not combine both of those things into one? He’ll wait patiently for you to scrub all the dirt and dust away from his plating, should you be willing to do so, and he’ll even let you use a pressure washer to get in all the nooks and crannies for that hard-to-reach grime. Be careful, though, he might start a water fight. Also, he’d be one to shake off the water like a dog, so don’t wear a very important outfit if you decide to do this. (Once, it turned into a team-wide deal - you actually spent the entirety of one blistering summer day scrubbing the whole of Team Prime down to shiny paint and glistening metal. Everyone was notably peppier after that, even Ratchet - being clean was just as good a feeling to Cybertronians as it was to humans, you supposed.)
Cliffjumper, as we all know, is a very easy-going and generally happy 'Bot - not many things rub him the wrong way, just because he doesn’t let them. But there are a few things that will, very rarely, rear his defensive side. If someone in town is harassing you, or if you’ve been hurt, then Cliffjumper’s not going to be one happy camper. He wouldn’t try to get revenge by resorting to violence or anything, besides maybe purposefully spinning his wheels to kick up dirt in their lawn or on their car - rather, he would turn his attention to you and make sure you’re feeling all right. He’d do his best to cheer you up, potentially making a fool of himself in the process, but so long as he can make you smile, it’s all worth it to him in the end. He’ll baby you, too, if you’re hurt - he’s very much like Ratchet in regards to the mother-henning department, and sometimes it will get to be a little smothering - but he cares so much about you, it physically pains him to see you hurt in any way. (Expect lots kisses to make all of your boo-boos feel better, no question.)
This big red 'Bot is probably the best person you could wish for if you’re one prone to depression, or even when you just get upset. He’s just so understanding and patient and loving, he’ll do anything and everything to help make you feel better. He’ll literally drop anything that he’s doing if he even thinks something is wrong or out of the ordinary. And trust me, he’ll be able to tell - this 'Bot can read people as easily as Optimus reads books. He’ll scoop you up gently in his servos and take you someplace else in the base (it could range from an empty store room to his berthroom, and it’ll depend upon your emotional state at the time - whichever is closest), settling down against a wall and asking what’s wrong. It’d be best if you were outright and just told him, so he’ll know what he’s dealing with. He’ll talk you through everything you’re feeling, making sure not to leave a single stone unturned in his reassurances. He’ll tell you that it’s completely normal not to feel too hot, and that everyone has their down days. He’ll promise you that he’ll stay with you until you feel better, no matter what. (He has refused to go on patrol during instances such as this, and after he’s explained his reasoning to Optimus, the Prime will allow him this. Cliffjumper’s sense of responsibility and care for you is admirable, and who is Optimus to refuse you your way of emotional healing?) Typically, days like this wind up with him taking you to town so you can get a big tub of ice cream (or whatever your comfort food may be) and a movie so you can curl up on his chassis and watch together. Let this mech take care of you, he just loves you so much.
If you’re a shy person, then you’ve got nothing to fear with Cliffjumper as your partner. He’ll handle all the talking, and won’t force you into any situations that might make you uncomfortable. He won’t make you speak if you don’t want to, and he’ll let you have your space as you need it. Though, you’ll probably start to notice that you won’t be as shy anymore after you’ve spent a good deal of time around him.
Cliffjumper’s an early bird, I’m just warning you now. He’s up as soon as the sun’s up, if not before, and he’ll be rearing to go even if you’re still half-asleep and dressed in your pajamas. He’s got the extra pep to put in his step, and you’ll be prone to wonder if Cybertronians could drink coffee after all.
Please, please, please: if you have any affection for this mech, please call him 'Cliff(ord) the Big Red Mech’. Once he learns the reference, he will love the nickname to absolute bits and pieces and will practically beg you to call him it at every given opportunity. He’ll also give you a nickname in return, something probably denoting to your appearance and just as equally affectionate. He adores any and all petnames, as well, so expect those to be peppered in your conversations, even if you’re not in a relationship.
If you get along with Arcee, Cliffjumper’s going to be all over you. He cares for the femme dearly, and while she may be prickly at times, she has potential to be more than what she is. Cliffjumper sees that, and wants the rest of the team to see it, too. It’ll probably take her a while to warm up to you, especially you being the object of Cliffjumper’s affections, but just give her time - she’ll become just about as fond of you as Cliffjumper is.
Cliffjumper’s the type to literally pick up anything random to gift you, even if it’s just a rock. If it reminds him of you, or if his first thought goes to you when he sees it, he’s bringing it back to you. Flowers are a common trend, and he’ll teach himself how to make flower crowns (courtesy of the internet, thanks, internet) just so you can wear them. He’ll be sad to see them wilt, but he’ll seek out newer, brighter ones as soon as he can. Also, don’t try to refuse legitimate gifts from him when your birthday (or Christmas) rolls around, he’s going to do it anyway. He loves to spoil you, so don’t even bother trying. This mech just adores you, let him Live™.
Bulkhead
Looks like you got the resident gentle giant of Team Prime as your guardian. Bulkhead wouldn’t volunteer for it, as he already has his hands quite full with Miko, but he would be open and welcoming when Optimus appoints him to you. He would just take in stride like he did with Miko, being careful at first when he’s getting to know you. You would figure out pretty quickly that he’s a Tired Dad™, and you would do your best to try and relieve him of Miko every so often so he can rest. And he may be a Tired Dad™, but he’s also a Proud Dad™, and he’ll quickly adore you just as much as he does Miko. Miko would be all over the idea of having a Wrecker-sibling, too, so no need to worry about sharing. She might get a little jealous every so often, though, if Bulkhead’s giving you some attention, but it’s not malicious. You and Bulkhead will just pull her into whatever you’re doing and she’ll be fine.
Here’s some tidbits based on some of the questions:
Bulkhead would be all over the idea of having another person to take dune-bashing - he’s grown fond of it, doing it with Miko, so he’ll be ecstatic to share one of their favorite pastimes with you. He usually ends up having to go to a carwash afterwards, so he can get the sand out of the seams in his plating. I hope you like heavy metal, too, because that’s what they’re going to be blasting the entire time - windows rolled down and volume loud enough that Megatron could probably hear it from the Nemisis. They’ll let you play whatever you like, too, occasionally, but Slash Monkey is required for dune-bashing. I feel like Bulkhead would like country/western, too, much to Miko’s chagrin - but if that’s what you start playing, then he’ll be relieved to have that similarity with someone else.
Bulkhead really wouldn’t enjoy being exposed to Earth’s elements, so he’d probably avoid rain or snow when he could. If you wanted him to sit with you while you watched it fall, though, he’d probably oblige you because he likes spending time with you. If it’s snow, maybe while patrolling somewhere up north, you and Miko are guaranteed to wrangle him into a snowball fight. He can’t say no to his kids, especially if you both pull puppy-dog eyes on him. (He’s a softy, don’t make fun.)
If you’re curious and ask him about it, Bulkhead will tell you stories about old battles on Cybertron, or stories about being with the Wreckers. He’ll be very open to the idea of sharing his past, and if Wheeljack is there, then you’re going to have two of the best storytellers this side of the Milky Way getting you to laugh or lean forward in anticipation while they recount old tales. Every time this happens, they wind up with the collective audience of Team Prime sitting around them and listening intently. (You’ll even catch Ratchet glancing over occasionally, but don’t tell anyone. He wouldn’t appreciate you ratting him out.)
Bulkhead, out of everyone on Team Prime, is probably, by far, the most protective of them all. If a Decepticon were to even glance your way, they’d be receiving a rearrangement of their faceplate, courtesy of his fists. It will absolutely tear him up inside if you get hurt, even if it’s just a paper cut, and he’ll get Ratchet to look at it no matter what. If you get into a fight at school, he’ll have half the mind to personally ‘interrogate’ whatever kid raised a word or hand against his charge. He’ll always make sure you’re okay, first, though - your wellbeing is his first priority. He’ll tell you to avoid altercations whenever possible and contact an adult to handle it instead. If you were protecting someone else, the pride this mech will feel will threaten to burst his very spark chamber, but he’ll still tell you to be careful. He has to be a reasonable, responsible adult, after all.
Long nights of movie marathons are inbound when you hang out with Bulkhead and Miko. She likes horror movies, but you and Bulkhead have to talk her down from them because sometimes they remind him too much of darker times in the war. He would much rather the genre to lean towards fantasy or science fiction, which both appease Miko. If you’re a nerd for them, too, then all three of you are going to end up geeking out over whatever you end up picking. Sometimes the other members of Team Prime will join you, too, and you usually end up accumulating quite a crowd around the comparatively tiny screen Fowler had provided for the kids a while back. You imagine the image would be kind of funny, having these big metal robots all crowded around four tiny humans while watching a movie.
Bulkhead’s not a naturally organized mech, bless his heart, and neither is Miko - so you’d end up having to help them keep track of all her stuff around the base. Keeping these two from doing something too dangerous or helping Bulkhead keep Miko in line quickly becomes your responsibility. You basically become the Mom Friend™ to match Bulkhead’s status of Tired Dad™. The other Autobots find it funny, for some reason, when you and Bulkhead will simultaneously tell Miko 'no’ when she asks to do something questionable. What? You’re being responsible, like you’re supposed to be. Why are you laughing, guys?
As a big mech - frankly the biggest of them all, if you don’t take Optimus’ height into account - Bulkhead has to exercise extreme caution around you humans. Especially Miko, because she has the bad habit of darting around under Bulkhead’s pedes. He doesn’t have a very good equilibrium, if you did say so, so the amount of time’s he’s almost fallen trying not to step on the young girl is probably well into the double digits. You often have to remind her to watch where she’s going, especially if more of the Autobots are in the base. Bulkhead will sometimes opt to let you both ride around on his shoulders to solve this problem, but he’ll be stiff as a board when he does this, for fear of throwing one of you off. You both make sure to hold on to his plating so to let him relax.
If you get along with Wheeljack, then Bulkhead is going to be one happy mech. Sometimes Jack will joke about the two Wreckers having joint custody of you and Miko, because you’ll probably end up spending just as much time with Wheeljack as you do with Bulkhead. You’ll often end up going with them on patrol together, and they’ll have a friendly race if you’re somewhere with little risk of getting seen or running into other humans. It usually ends up being a tie, but Miko makes them both feel like a winner while you insist on grabbing victory grub from a drive-through and going to find somewhere pretty to eat.
Bulkhead reserves his nicknames for those who are closest to him (I.e., 'Jackie’, because he’s known Wheeljack far longer than Miko, as much as he loves her), so he’d probably only give you one if you were to become his significant other. It would most likely be derived from your name, and he’d only refer to you as it when the others aren’t around or aren’t paying attention. He loves you, and he likes having you to himself. He would like to be called anything with the term 'stud’ in it, like 'Studmuffin’. He gets so flustered, and he thinks you’re so cute when you call him by a nickname.
He would definitely get you flowers of some sort as a gift for any occasion - they don’t even have to be a bouquet! A potted plant, or one of those pots with an assortment of tiny succulents would do just as well, and would last far longer. He himself loves flowers, too, so he’d always be down for receiving them from you, too. He’d love it if you made a flower crown for him.
Ultra Magnus
It would seem that you've wound up with Ultra Magnus as your guardian, probably against both your initial begrudge. Optimus appointed him to protect you, however, and Magnus would put aside his personal feelings to follow the Prime's orders and to ensure your safety. You warm up to him after a while, however, when you realize that beneath his rigid exterior, there's a big heart in that spark chamber of his. Eventually - it takes quite a long time, but eventually - he warms up to you, too. And you're never quite the same after he does.
Have some tidbits based on some of the questions:
As much as he would hate to admit it, Ultra Magnus actually likes Earth a lot more than he lets on. It's refreshing to be on a planet that's so full of life and vitality. And though he doesn't get to often, he enjoys going out on long drives in the middle of the day and soaking the sun into his alt-mode's outer plating, feeling the wind rush by him and allowing him to forget about the immense responsibilities resting upon his shoulders - if not just for a little while. Sometimes, once you've both opened up to each other, he'll invite you to bring any homework you might have and go with him on one of his "scouting missions". You know it's just his way of letting off steam and stopping to catch his breath, but you never point it out. Your friendship is built upon tactful silence and knowing what to say and when and when not to say it, after all.
Ultra Magnus also enjoys listening to thunderstorms, surprisingly enough. He'll sit just inside the doors to the base, him having cracked them open just enough so he can see the rain fall and the lightning flash. He'll let you sit beside him at times like these, and on a very special occasion he'll invite you to sit between his neck and his shoulder, so long as you hold on to make sure you don't fall off. If you fall asleep up there, though, don't worry - he's very careful, and he'll make sure not to drop you when he maneuvers you to the couch on the upper floor. He secretly finds it endearing, though he wouldn't tell a soul (he doesn't even really like admitting it to himself).
You don't actually share your music with Magnus, per se - you didn't think that he would like such "noise" (as he's referred to Miko's habit of blasting Slash Monkeys through Bulkhead's stereo system). He catches you listening to it one day, though, and much to your surprise, he starts asking you about it. He's genuinely curious about why you like this or that song, or what the lyrics mean. You always answer his questions until he's satisfied, and on the very rare occurrence that he's not filing reports or on patrol, he'll sit with you while you listen and comment on particular things he likes about each track. (He actually figures out your favorite radio station and surprises you one drive by turning it on. He admits that perhaps he's taken a liking towards music, which is unusual for him because he's never been too fond of it before.)
If you like winter, then you're in luck - Ultra Magnus finds absolute fascination in it and the many varying effects it has on different places on this Earth. He especially enjoys snow, despite his displeasure of getting it between his plating. (He has taken you and the rest of the kids to a state farther north just so you could all have a big snowball fight before. The other Autobots joined in, of course, but all were taken aback by it having been Ultra Magnus' suggestion in the first place. At first, he didn't want to get involved in the flying projectiles of frozen water, but when Optimus - Optimus Prime himself - threw a ball the size of a small car directly at Ultra Magnus' helm [and quite successfully hitting his mark, one might add], he decided that maybe it wouldn't break any protocols to return friendly fire. He wound up winning, by far. He also let you and the kids crawl up into his cab afterwards to warm up, despite being soaked and unavoidably getting his upholstery wet. He did make sure that you all stayed still long enough so Ratchet could give you a thorough checkup, though.)
Out of everything that he does, Ultra Magnus considers his work and responsibilities to be his top priorities always. His priorities change when you come into the picture, however, but you always make a point of never bothering him if he's busy or in the middle of something. It's something that made him admire you, and one of the things that started to get him to open up to you. He makes a point of making himself available to you whenever possible in return.
You know he struggles with his war-ingrained formality sometimes, but as he grows closer to the Autobots you notice he makes more of an effort to relate and express himself. Sometimes it works out, other times it comes across wrong. You try to help him when you can, suggesting things that he could ask the others to start conversations and get to know them better. It makes a noticeable difference, and it's only until after he gets more comfortable with it that you realize he had been nervous at the very start and had just hidden it beneath all those layers of discipline and rigidity.
I sincerely hope you're an early bird if you've got Ultra Magnus as a guardian. If not, you're in for a rough time, because this 'Bot gets up at 0500 sharp every morning, no matter what. And even if you are an early bird, you're going to struggle at first, getting used to his borderline religious schedule. Sometimes you wonder how he functions at even an iota of a normal capacity. You've asked him exactly that once before, and you think that was the first and only time you've ever got the closest to a laugh out of the stoic mech. He did smile, though. Maybe it was the phrasing of your question, or maybe it was because of your own bleary-eyed, half-catatonic state. Your bedhead had been particularly bad that day, after all.
Sometimes you make a game of moving Ultra Magnus' stuff around - never by much, mind you, and you certainly don't tamper with it - but you find an indescribable delight in moving his stack of holopads over just a quarter of an inch and seeing his optical ridges furrow and tug down whenever he walks by. He always notices. Always. And you do it whenever you get the chance. (You're pretty sure he knows, but he's never asked about it. You wouldn't be surprised if he'd checked every single holopad for fingerprints or energon signatures to find out who keeps doing it.)
Ultra Magnus wouldn't give you a nickname unless you actually became significant others, and you wouldn't dare call him one to his face, but when he's not around you'll refer to him as 'Maggy'. You've made a pact with the rest of Team Prime that they should never dare utter this fact to Ultra Magnus, lest they suffer your wrath. If the possibility of becoming his significant other were to happen, however - which would take even longer than your friendship took to forge and for him to even refer to you by your first name - he would most likely call you 'darling' or 'my world'. Kind of cheesy, but don't tell anyone. He's a big softie when he wants to be.
If Ultra Magnus were to get you a gift - the keyword being a very emphasized 'if' - there's a ninety-nine percent chance he's going to get you a Swiss Army knife. No joke. Even if you already have one, he's going to research every make and model on the internet in order to get you the very best one. He'll even sharpen the blades for you, if you need it done. And if you ask him to teach you how, he will drop everything and make sure you know every brush and stroke and technique of keeping your blades paper-thin sharp so that you could even cut through the Nemesis' hull if you wanted to. Needless to say, you wouldn't really know whether to feel flattered or worried by the end of the experience.
Optimus Prime
It would seem that you've caught the optic of the leader of the Autobots himself. Optimus takes it upon himself to keep you safe, as he senses that you and he share many common traits. He soon becomes fiercely affectionate and protective of you, and, eventually, he will wonder how he ever lived before he met you.
Have some tidbits based on some of the questions:
You and he enjoy watching the sunset together, and will linger to watch the stars come out. He'll tells you stories of where he's been, the distant worlds he's seen, and sometimes - if the sky is clear enough - he'll find Cybertron's star and point it out to you. You love to listen to his voice, to his experiences, and sometimes you wish that you could add your own. He pushes you to do so, claiming that your stories are just as enrapturing to him as his are to you.
Sometimes, in the rare occasion that it rains in Jasper City, Optimus will let you sit in his alternative mode or will sit beside you in the small cave above the base so you can see and hear the rain. He knows you enjoy it, since you told him about it once, and will stay as long as he can. The only thing that would pull him back into the base is if the wind and lightning started to get bad. (You have been known to fall asleep leaning against him or curled up in his passenger seat - he makes it his goal to sit as still as he can or not let his engine rev too loudly so you can rest just a little longer.)
You make a habit of sharing your music with Optimus, whenever he's just chilling in lulls between missions. He claims he finds your taste in music to be soothing, and sometimes you could swear that you hear him hum some of the melodies you've listened to with him. (It's a secret wish of yours that he would one day sing a duet with you. You don't care if anyone else hears or not, so long as you got to hear his rolling timbre rise and fall in time with a song. [He would so be up for it.])
Optimus once expressed his liking for spring to you; he enjoys seeing fields of flowers blooming and hearing the birdsong in wooded areas. He's invited you to go on drives with him on occasion, long stretches of highway and wildlife and fresh air. It's refreshing, and being with someone who still finds Earth so new is uplifting in a way you just can't describe.
Both you and Optimus are very family-oriented people, and he's taken aback at first by your fierce protectiveness of the other humans and the rest of the Autobots. He admires your affection for them, and often you find yourself the center of his gentle not-smile when you're interacting with the other Autobots. (Especially Ratchet, you've noticed. You're one of the few humans the medic can stand, and it clearly shows. It reflects in Optimus' regard for you, as well.)
You've admitted your despondent wish that you could help the Autobots in their cause to Optimus before, and he's reassured you that you do just as well giving them emotional support than you would if you ran into battle with them. Your dedication to them and their cause is just another thing that makes him admire you all the more.
As you share your favorite music with him, Optimus shares his favorite stories and books with you. You're surprised when he starts lending you actual books of his, and though you still don't know how he manages to read them (they're smaller than his fingers can actually hold the pages individually), you end up thoroughly enjoying every single one that he lets you borrow. (He has a surprising inkling towards fantasy and romance, but you keep that to yourself. Can't let Megatron find out Optimus is a big softie.) Sometimes, you ask him to read some parts to you, especially bits you know will turn into a funny or very meaningful, emotional scene, as his voce adds that extra layer of perfection that brings it all together. To your surprise, he often returns the sentiment - but he makes sure to give you breaks so your voice doesn't go out.
After you've gotten to know each other for a long time, you start to call Optimus 'Bossbot' or 'Big Red' when you're alone. You're not really aware of just how much he enjoys the nicknames, and he would absolutely be okay with you referring to him by them in public. You never do, though, as you figure propriety is important to him. He does have to admit to himself that he enjoys the level of intimacy you hold it to. He wishes he could come up with a nickname or a pet name for you, but finds that he couldn't quite put all of what you mean to him into one singular name. Sometimes, he'll settle for 'My Spark'.
Optimus would most definitely get you books as a gift, no matter the occasion. Ever expressed an interest in astronomy? Bam, that's what you're getting for your birthday. You want to learn more about Cybertronian mythology? Boom, he's getting Ratchet to help him compile a file of all their combined knowledge on the subject. You'd better buy yourself a bookshelf if you don't already have one, because if Optimus catches wind of something you may want to learn more about, you're getting a book about it at some point or another. (Agent Fowler ends up being Optimus' personal mailman at some point - Optimus would order the books off the internet and he'd have Fowler bring them to him. Agent Fowler often makes a joke out of saying he'd always wanted to be a librarian as a kid.)
Arcee
Despite how she may play it off, Arcee actually loves the color pink. If you surprise her with a bow or flowers, she'll definitely be delighted by them. She'd love to wear a flower crown, too - it would accentuate her secondary pink plating. She would so strut her stuff while wearing it, too - look at what my charge made me, I know I look good! She'd love any gift you got her, for that matter. Anything from you that reminded you of her is incredibly special to her, and her wings will flutter in flattery. She'll always strive to return the favor, as well, so be prepared for something in return. It may not be something too gaudy, but it'll be sentimental and heartfelt. Help her, she's too precious.
Arcee would probably express an interest in your favorite music - Jack shared his with her, so why not find out yours, too? So long as it's not of Miko's favored caliber, she'll probably enjoy whatever you like. She might compare some of her favorites with you - she doesn't have many, but every now and again she'll hear something over the radio that she grows fond of. (Be warned, though - if you listen to country/western, she may disappear from your company for a while. Don't take it personally, she just needs a little space - it was Cliffjumper's favorite genre of music, too. She'll come back eventually, with a small, distant smile, and she'll sit with you and enjoy the mutual silence only broken by the music while she reminisces on old, fond memories.)
Arcee enjoys winter, surprisingly enough - snow, in particular. She loves making shapes out of it, and she'll definitely be down for a snowball fight (you'll have to initiate it, though - she's got to act like the responsible adult, after all). She laments the fact that she and Optimus weren't able to bring Raf a snowball back from the Arctic.
As we know, Arcee struggles with the losses of both Tailgate and Cliffjumper. This is source of both her introversion and protectiveness over you and Jack. As mentioned before, it's going to take her a little while to get used to you and open up, so just be patient with her. She's also prone to being a little prickly at times, so don't feel bad if she bypasses you sometimes. But, with time, she'll accept you into her small brood, and you'll soon forget about her grudgingness in the first place. There's a chance that she might even share stories about her adventures with both her past partners.
If you've got a dry sense of humor, then you're going to get along with her very well. She's got wit dryer than a desert river-bottom, and if you can keep up with her quips then she'll be enamored with you.
Arcee likes to take long drives to clear her head, so expect her to disappear every so often for a few hours. She'll invite you to go with her, occasionally, so if you need a breath of fresh air then she'll take you somewhere quiet and peaceful.
Arcee's the type of friend that will know exactly where everything you have is and where it last was, so if you've lost something, then go to her. She'll help you find whatever it is, as well, but she might scold you for losing it, especially if it's something important like a laptop or your phone.
She is definitely a night owl due to her insomnia, so she'd definitely be down for late-night movie marathons. She'll let you sleep on her chassis, and she'll stay with you if you struggle with insomnia, too.
She probably won't be likely to give you a nickname, but she wouldn't mind it if you gave her one. If she were to give you one, though, it'd probably be derived from your name.
Arcee would get you a gift for your birthday, but she would struggle with it as she would worry herself to the primer trying to figure out the perfect thing to get you. She'd probably end up either going to the other Autobots or the kids for help, and depending on who you're closest to will determine how much help they offer her. She would end up choosing something sentimental and special to you both. There's also a good chance that she'd take you somewhere pretty.
Wheeljack
It would seem you got Wheeljack as your guardian! He'd probably be dismissive of you at first, given he probably wouldn't want a human charge for fear of you being a liability - but Optimus appointed him to you, so he'll see to it that you don't get hurt. Bulkhead would talk him out of his initial reluctance, telling him that having a human charge is not as troublesome as it may seem at first, and to give you a chance. Wheeljack would see to your needs, but it would take a while for him to actually open up to you. And, even then, it's going to take a while for him to trust you completely - but that's how he is with everyone, isn't it? Just be patient with him, and he'll come around before long. He's a worthwhile friend in compensation for getting past his shell.
Here's some tidbits based on some of the questions:
Wheeljack has gone through a lot, and he's seen a lot, so please don't take it personally when he's not very warm towards you in the first couple of weeks. He's got trust issues, and has trouble getting to know new people. Bulkhead's going to be a big help to the both of you, starting conversations that both you and the Wrecker can add to and relate. Wheeljack's not much of a talker, so don't press him to open up and you'll be fine. Let him open up on his own, and you'll see the results it'll bring. Once he gets used to having you around and accepts the fact that you're going to be his responsibility for the indefinite future, he'll start asking things about you. Your name, what it means, when your birthday is, what things you like to do in your free time, that kind of stuff - simple, but effective. If you express an interest in his ship, you'll be in for a long, in-depth conversation on the ins and outs of the Jackhammer and its intricacies. It's Wheeljack's home away from home, and it really shows. That'll most likely be your first true conversation, and it'll help him to relax more around you, knowing that he has something to fall back on if other interactions take a nose-dive. Wheeljack always needs a backup plan, and once he's got one, it'll be smooth (but still slow) sailing from there. (He'll take you flying, eventually, if you ask him about it. He'll keep you on his shoulder so you don't fall, and will do some of the less dangerous air tricks he's learned over the years just so you have to hold onto his face plating. He thinks it's cute if you squeak, too.)
If you get along well with Bulkhead, you're set for life. Wheeljack will feel so much more comfortable around you if you have Bulkhead as common ground. He'll tell you embarrassing stories about the ex-Wrecker just to get him flustered, and you'll both start teasing the dark green mech before the conversation is over. Wheeljack can see why Bulkhead likes you, because you like Bulkhead right back.
Wheeljack likes going out on patrol in the mornings, just before the sun has risen and when the air is still cool. He'll be okay with you joining him, so long as you don't engage him in anything other than an occasional question or remark. If he can get away with these (sometimes Ultra Magnus has other plans), it gives him a chance to breathe some fresh air and relax in preparation for the new day. It helps to keep him grounded and be less likely to get agitated with the other members of Team Prime (though you can never really know if it's going to be one of those days Magnus makes it his goal to be more domineering than usual). It ends up being a habit that you wake up early enough to go with him, and sometimes he'll stop in a secluded area so you both can watch the sun rise. ("It's almost like meditation," you tell him one day, and he ponders it a moment before shrugging a nonchalant shoulder and nodding. "'Guess you could say that," he muses.)
If he were to pick a season that he favored over the others, he'd probably say autumn. He likes that certain scent the air gets (you know the one), and the colors that the tree leaves turn before they fall. He'll often go to heavily forested areas during these times to just sit and watch the sun shine through all the reds and oranges and yellows and feel the cooling breeze brush by him. He'll invite you to go with him, and will recommend that you bring something to eat so you don't get hungry. He'd be totally okay with you bringing a picnic, enjoying the companionable silence as you both enjoy this little moment of quiet among your lives of chaos. He'd probably aim to do it farther into the evening, so you both can watch the sun set and stargaze for a while before returning to base. He'll point out star systems that he's been to in his travels, tell you stories of what he's done in each of them. If you end up falling asleep listening to the sound of his voice, he won't hold it against you. It'd probably take him a while to notice - he'd be looking up at the dark, glittering expanse above him, before looking down. He'd then realize that you'd gone limp leaning against him, sleeping soundly. He'd smile gently and chuckle softly before waking you. He'd promise that you can sleep on the way back, he just needs you to sit up so he won't squish you mid-transformation. He thinks you're cute when you sleep, so it wouldn't really be his fault if he turned his radio on low and dimmed the lights within his cab while you curled up on his declined passenger seat. He wouldn't even bother transforming back whenever you returned to base - he'd ward off anyone that would come close and recharge in his alt-mode so he wouldn't have to wake you up again. The next morning he'll play off any affection he may have shown in the action, however, by teasing you about how you snored or drooled all night (even if you didn't - you get to the point when you can call him out on his bs).
Wheeljack's ship may be tidy, but the same cannot be said for his berthroom. Whether it's in the base or in the Jackhammer, it doesn't matter - the amount of stuff he's accumulated over the centuries has just kept piling up and has gotten to the point where he wouldn't be able to do anything about it unless he were to clean out its entirety. He finds things he hasn't seen in years, humming in thought, 'That's where that went!', before tossing it back into the void of junk. It's a constant treasure hunt, his berthroom. The only space that is cleared away is his berth and computer terminal, and even then, it's in danger of being hidden by stuff. Wheeljack doesn't let you into his room much, for fear of losing you among the mountains of junk. You joked one time about how you wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of creature feeding off the old, dusty things piled atop each other.
Wheeljack isn't really one to listen to music that often, but he'll let you play yours out loud if you're patrolling while you keep yourself occupied. He'll comment on a particular song he may find all right every so often. (You actually make a playlist of the ones he likes, so you can play them more often. If he's ever noticed, he's never said anything to you about it.) Also, it's very, very, very unlikely, but there's a minute chance that you might catch him singing to himself while he works on the Jackhammer or one of his inventions. To your surprise, it'll be Earth songs, probably leaning more towards jazz, blues, or country/western. He's got that barely-there rasp to add on top of that smooth cadence that you just can't beat. You wish he'd sing more often, but you never ask him directly for fear of alienating him from the idea. (He'd totally be okay with singing for you in private, if you ever become his significant other. It's one of his ways of seduction, and boy, does he do it well. He's going to get you flustered in no time, bucko. He'd also like singing duets with you, and he might even record them to the Jackhammer's audio files so he can listen to them while he flies or works.) But while this mech may not really be one for singing (at least publicly), he is probably the smoothest slow dancer you'll find this side of the Milky Way. He'll start up some tunes that you've either introduced to him or that he's discovered himself and raise an optical ridge before smirking and mass-converting to a more manageable size. (You'd probably reach about the middle or top of his uppermost chest plate [the one that's in the center of his chassis on the picture]). He'd like that size because he'd still be able to look down at you and hold you in his arms comfortably. He likes that you're smaller than him; he thinks you're cute.) He'd offer a servo to you, his optics glowing, before pulling you against him and proceeding to woo the fool out of you. He'd take it slow, guiding you through the steps and motions, and even if you consider yourself to be a bad dancer, you're going to know how to two-step by the end of the night. (You honestly don't know how Wheeljack of all people knows how to two-step, but you certainly aren't complaining.) He'll only do this when you've gotten very close, however, so you're already very comfortable with each other by this point and there won't be much of a risk of him clamming up halfway through.
This mech is one smooth talker. He'll tease and compliment you in the same sentence and still manage to fluster the fool out of you. He's perfected his wit into an art, having used it both to entertain and get himself out of deadly scrapes time after time, and if you're one that can keep up with his banter, you'll be exchanging verbal swordplay in no time. He'll make a sport of flustering you, though, so just get ready for the mass of borderline flirting that he's going to be sending your way. He finds it entertaining to get you to blush - he likes the darker hue your skin takes because of how alien it is to him. The differences in your respective biology fascinates him to no end, and sometimes you'll catch him just watching you while you walk or talk or do something else. It's not a malicious fascination, either - he's just genuinely curious about how your species differ and are still very similar in regards to your basic anatomy. He's not a scientist by any means, but it's still something he thinks is interesting. He'll ask you questions occasionally, like how you digest fuel or react to certain things. If you're knowledgeable in the subject, then expect a long list of inquiries that he'll expect to have answers to before he leaves you alone.
Wheeljack would it enjoy it if you were to offer to give him a tour of Jasper City, or whatever else may have been your home town. He'd like to see where you grew up, where you spent your free time, where you made the most memories. He'll tell you about Cybertron in return, describing his home and what it was like before the war had ravaged it of its beauty and peace. He misses his home, you can tell, but being able to be a part of yours makes it a little better.
Wheeljack would enjoy intense action or thriller movies. If that isn't your cup of tea, then he wouldn't push you to watch them with him, but he would enjoy your company. The yawn-and-lean is inbound, so just prepare yourself.
The Wrecker also has a touch of insomnia, so if you were to stay up with him while he tinkers with his gadgets to keep him company, he'd be really touched. If you suffer from it, too, he'd sympathize. He'd suggest maybe you both should go see Ratchet, mostly intended as a joke, but when you say that maybe he should, he actually starts to consider it.
Wheeljack has a bad habit of clamming up whenever something undesirable happens, whether Ultra Magnus pissed him off (again) or if he's just not feeling up to snuff. He'll close everybody out, excluding himself and going off on patrol by himself or hiding away in the Jackhammer. There's a good chance it'd probably coincide with a fresh bout of depression hitting him. He's gone through a lot, especially loss, and I wouldn't doubt it if there's a good bit of PTSD he deals with, too. He won't speak to anyone during these times, not even Bulkhead, so it would probably be best that you give him space, at least for a little while. You'd probably end up going into the Jackhammer to find him muttering curses to himself in frustration while he tries to fix one of his gadgets. He'll be okay with you staying there under the guise of doing homework or something, and having your presence there will make him feel a little less lonely and would help ground him in the midst of his turmoil. Don't try to pry, though, or he'll just clam right back up and shut you out again. Just be patient with him - he might actually start venting a little bit if you wait quietly long enough. He just needs someone to release his pent-up emotions to, he hasn't had that in a long time and it's taken a heavy toll on his emotional wellbeing; so don't speak until he's done or he'll stop. He really needs to let a lot of his turmoil go, so be prepared to hear some dark and negative things. He'll try to make it up to you, though, by thanking you and offering to take you to get something to eat. He really appreciates you being there for him, and it's after the first time this happens that Wheeljack realizes what Bulkhead had meant and why he'd been reluctant to have you in the first place. He'll be noticeably warmer towards you after this, and will be far more affectionate, realizing how important you've grown to be to him. (Bulkhead will notice the change immediately, and he'll breathe a sigh of relief knowing that his best friend has finally let himself be close to another person. He's even more relieved that that person is you - you're good for Wheeljack, he knows, and Wheeljack's good for you. You balance each other out well.) Every time that the both of you go through this, where he gets in a slum and you pull him back out of it, his affection for you will increase and his gratitude will grow more sincere. Eventually, he gets to the point that he'll just vent whenever the source of his agitation first arises, so it doesn't have time to build up and threaten to pull him down. He gets better about communicating his feelings, too. It would seem you're helping this mech to finally start to heal, and he'll be forever thankful for it.
If you've got a thing for men with scars, Wheeljack's got you covered. He likes to show off his physical scars, all the dings and nicks in his plating and the deep scratches on his faceplate. He'd love it if you were to draw him, tilting his helm at just the right angle that he knows makes him look best. He'll model for you if you ever need a visual reference, following your directions and holding the pose until you're done. He'd admire any art you produced, even if it wasn't of him, praising you on the effort and skill you put into the pieces. But, as all soldiers do, he's got psychological scars to match the outward ones. His wit, while it is part of his character, is also a defense mechanism he uses to deflect others away from anything he may be going through. His depression is something he battles regularly, but his PTSD does rear its ugly head every so often. Usually it'll flare up after a particularly harsh brawl with the Decepticons, and Wheeljack will get this faraway look in his optics. It's not quite like how he is when he's depressed - he'll still talk with the others, he's just going to be vacant. He'll usually have a nightmare while recharging that night, and then he'll end up staying up until morning afterwards for fear of having another one. If you offer to stay with him, though, he'll at least go lay back down and let you crawl up on his chassis. If you'll start telling him happy or funny stories from your childhood, it'll help him relax again and distract him from the dark memories that're threatening to bubble over. You'll notice that his shoulders will relax, his venting will even out, and the life will come back into his optics in the form of warm affection as he gazes at you. If you talk long enough, he'll drift off into recharge. He'll sleep soundly for the rest of the night, and the next morning he'll wake up and wonder what he had ever done without you. This, like your venting sessions, will recur occasionally, and eventually it just becomes a habit of him subtly inviting you to sleep with him if he's going through a particularly rough patch. The nightmares will grow fewer and farther between, as well, until they're practically nonexistent. He'll get used to your presence, however, and he'll miss you sorely if you're not there with him.
While Bulkhead may be very protective, Wheeljack is far more aggressive and far more terrifying with his carefully brandished fury (and swords). If anyone were to even think about laying a hand on you, they'd better have written their will, because all that's going to show up in the morgue is a lump of bloody flesh hardly recognizable as a human's remains. Of course, while he may very closely consider the abovementioned treatment of your potential aggressors, he knows that he couldn't do that to a human without severe consequences. He'd settle for agitating them in traffic, or doing all that he could to ruin their day, like honk loudly and make them drop their coffee or park in both of the last two parking spaces in the K.O. Burger's parking lot ahead of them. You'd admonish him for it, and he'd just shrug a side view mirror and grunt noncommittally. ("It's not like they didn't have it coming," he'd say. "What afthole would honk at an elderly femme crossing the street?" "I don't think you need to worry about that one - she did hit his car and made his airbags go off, if you do so recall." Wheeljack chuckled gleefully, "Oh, I do recall. I think she would've made a fine Wrecker in her day." "Wheeljack, you're insufferable." "I know. And you love me for it.") However, if it were to be a Decepticon threatening your wellbeing, then...well, Wheeljack's going to have the chance to vent his frustrations out on that (poor) Vehicon. There's going to be a few flashes of gray, and then the Vehicon's going to be laying scattered across the ground in unidentifiable pieces. No one - no human and no Decepticon, either - messes with Wheeljack's human and gets away unscathed. He might not always be able to do what he wants, but he will always make sure there's compensation for the wrong someone has done you.
A relationship with Wheeljack would be unlike any other. He'd absolutely spoil you, pampering you and ensuring you are in constant supply of everything you might need or want. And while it may have taken a long time to get to the point where Wheeljack would consider settling down, the time and the work you've put in for it were well, well worth it. He's already made certain of your worth to him, but making the step of having you just as his human charge to having you as his significant other would be a big one for him. He doesn't do relationships all that often, especially long-term ones, but he'd be willing to put aside his hesitation in favor of making you the happiest human that has ever walked planet Earth. You are never in short supply of affection or attention, as Wheeljack seems to have a daily fix that he holds himself up to getting from you. You're the light of his life, and he's going to damn well make sure you know it. He doesn't know what he's done in his long, lonely life for Primus to bless him with someone like you, but he's going to appreciate every second of having you that he can.
And now, for the pet names. Wheeljack is the king of pet names, there can be no argument against that fact. He calls everybody something other than their name, even Ultra Magnus. Sometimes, it's due to affection, others, due to camaraderie, and then sometimes it's due to disdain. You can usually tell pretty easily which designation each one falls under. He enjoys getting under people's skin or getting them flustered, thus probably why he persists in agitating 'Doc'/'Sunshine' just to get a rise out of the older mech. However, we would reserve only the most special names for you, especially as his significant other. He'd call you by your name, first and foremost, because he considers it to be very intimate to use someone's given name - but southernisms are probably abound, as well. 'Darlin'', 'Sweetheart/spark', and 'Sweetpea' are good examples. He would rather you not call him 'Jackie', as that has and always will be Bulkhead's name for him, but he'd love it if you returned the southernisms right back at him. He'd be fine with any given pet name, but use his real name and you'll have him melting in seconds - just keep in mind he's going to try his hardest to get you right back, and will not be adverse to using kisses as a means to even the score.
Bumblebee
Looks like Raf's going to have to share the resident muscle car with you. Not that he minds, though - he enjoys having your company just as much as Bumblebee does! He probably volunteered freely to take you under his watch, under Optimus' approval. The Prime had no doubts of the scout's capabilities, and boy, was he right. You're inbound to have the two best friends you've ever had, and between these, two, you're never going to have the chance to feel down about yourself! They'll always make sure you're happy and smiling, and you'll always be having fun. Bumblebee will become just as protective of you as he is of Raf in no time, guaranteed
Here's some tidbits based on some of the questions:
Bumblebee loves the color yellow. It's of little surprise, really, given his paintjob (which, even after he has to change it, he still keeps yellow accents, despite the risks of getting found out by the Decepticons), and you quickly pick up on that fact within the first couple of weeks of getting to know him. One day, while he's patrolling somewhere in the breadbasket states, he comes back to base with a whole armful of bright yellow sunflowers that he claims were growing on the side of the road. If you can make flower crowns, then you're going to have this 'Bot enamored with you. Fortunately, the stems are thick enough to bind together and the flowers are large enough that they'll sit on his helm. In return, he'll tuck one of the smaller sunflowers behind your ear and whirr in excitement. If you get Miko to braid it into your hair so it'll stay a little longer, then his cooling fans are going to be running overdrive because the both of you match and he'd never realized humans were so cute before.
You most likely have trouble understanding all of what Bumblebee says, and Raf will have to translate most of it, but sometimes you can pick up on what the scout is saying from his gestures. You bring up the idea of the both of you learning sign language, and he absolutely loves the idea to bits and pieces. It takes a while, and neither of you never really learn it in its entirety, but you manage to learn enough that you can hold a pretty strong conversation with Raf only having to fill in some of the gaps of the gestures neither of you know. Sometimes, if Fowler is bickering at Optimus, Bumblebee will start talking with his servos behind his back. You usually catch the gestures for "stuffy" and "stiff", but the little quirks Bumblebee makes with his optical ridges always make you have to stifle your laughter. He's so cute and can make you laugh so easily, it's ridiculous.
If there is one thing for certain, Bumblebee likes to sunbathe. Sometimes, if he doesn't have anything to do, he'll go up to the top of the base and sprawl out on the rockface. He'll let you and Raf settle in beside him, but only where he casts shadows. He doesn't want either of you to get sunburned or have heat strokes. Bless this bb, he's so concerned for you guys' wellbeing.
Bumblebee would also absolutely let you play your music over his radio system, even if he's in his default mode. Luckily, his alt-mode's got Bluetooth, so when you sync up your phone, he lets you play your music whenever you want. He loves dubstep and chiptune, no question, and if you like it, too, you're in for a constant stream of it. You have dance-offs frequently, and the others always end up watching no matter what they had been doing before. Bumblebee's got some good moves, for someone who's made of metal. Sometimes you manage to get Raf to join in, and you've actually choreographed before. While it may not have been perfect, it was ridiculously fun and sometimes you'll just start going through the motions randomly. 'Bee will always, always drop whatever he's doing to join you, blaring a suitable song over his radios to give it a little extra.
If it's the summertime, you bound to go on frequent drives with the scout, as his rank reflects his responsibilities. Make sure to bring a book or something else to do, because Bumblebee absolutely loves to drive, to feel the sun and the wind on his outer plating, so you're going to be out a while. You think he might've enjoyed being a racecar, and if there's a clear stretch of road, you'll coax him to go faster, much to his beeping and whistling delight.
If you get along well with the rest of the team, you're going to have Bumblebee absolutely enamored with you in no time. He loves his dysfunctional little family, even if the 'dysfunctional' aspect rears its head more often than any of you would like. Sometimes he'll just watch you interact with the others and start humming to himself at the warm, fluttery feeling in his spark chamber. (Bless this boy, he would get such a crush on you so quickly he doesn't know what to do with himself.) He especially delights in if you take a liking to Optimus and vice-versa - his father figure is extremely important to him, and he would love sharing the Prime's attention with you.
As we know, Bumblebee is a naturally lighthearted Cybertronian, so if you're ever in a slump, he will do his absolute best in trying to cheer you up. He'll give you anything and everything you need, no matter what - you want to go for a drive? He's already asking Ratchet to open the groundbridge. You want to go grab some grub and watch a movie at a drive-in theater? He's already loaded you up and on his way to town. You want cuddles? He's already sweeping you up in his arms and nuzzling you against his helm. You just want some quiet and space? He's already got you in an empty room in the base and will wait patiently until you tell him the next thing you want. He's the absolute best at handling someone who's crying, too - he'll just hold you close and wipe the tears away as they come. He might even use mass displacement so he can hold you better without the risk of squishing you or poking your eyes out. He just cares for you so much, and it makes him so sad that you're not feeling good. This boy loves you, even if you're not in a relationship, and he just wants you to be happy.
Bumblebee has nicknames for everyone, most of the humans just can't tell because they don't know what he's saying. The Autobots aren't really phased by it anymore, and will respond without a thought. You're honestly surprised when Raf, translating as he always does, refers to you by a nickname Bumblebee calls you that you weren't aware of. The scout actually gets flustered, not having expected Raf to let you in on his secret, and his door wings will flutter nervously until you respond. He'd most likely call you something that alludes to your appearance, something you like, or a shared experience that you've both gone through. Say you admit your favorite flower to him, like morning glories - that's what he's going to call you: 'Morning Glory'. It's simultaneously simple but meaningful at the same time. He might call you other things like 'Sunshine'. And please, please, please call this boy 'Honeybee' if you give him a nickname. It will make him so happy and flustered and it will the number one way to get him to do something for you. It'll have him wrapped around your finger in no time.
Bumblebee would definitely be one to get something the two (or three, depending if Raf is present) of you could do together. Board games, video games, and puzzles are definitely examples of such things. He'll get you your favorite movies/television shows if you don't have them already, too, so you can watch them together. He loves spending time with you, and there's nothing better than bonding over games or TV, right?
Ratchet
It would seem that you hold the most similarities with the resident curmudgeon medic. Ratchet most likely didn't volunteer voluntarily to be your guardian, so Optimus probably appointed him to watch over you. He's against the idea at first, as he's always got seven and a half hands full (and very, very busy, thank you, Optimus!), but if you're patient enough with him, you'll find that you have quite the protective and caring Autobot wrapped right around your fleshy little finger.
Here's a list of tidbit based on some of the questions:
If you can manage to coax Ratchet away from his work and get him up to the top of the base to watch the sunset with you, you'll have accomplished something that not even Optimus Prime can do. It would be difficult, and Ratchet certainly would not make it easy, but once he sees the sky and its tranquil conglomeration of color, all his complaints would die on his glossa. He's always been one to appreciate natural beauty, and this will certainly give him the little break that he didn't know he needed. It would resonate with him that you would get him to do this for his own wellbeing, and he might apologize for giving you such a hard time. He might, might even offer to make up for it by inviting you to sit on his shoulder. He's a gentle 'Bot, he's just tired and worried for the rest of his little dysfunctional family.
You've been known to pick on him on occasion by cutting out pieces of orange paper in the shape of his optical crests and sticking them to your eyebrows, but only when he's not around. Everyone finds it absolutely hilarious, and they always get you to do your best impression of the him. You can impersonate him quite well - remarkably well, even Optimus thinks so - and never fail to have the Autobots rolling on the floor and nearly crying from laughing so hard. You get his cadence just right, and your spot-on, higher-pitched rendition of his infamous phrase, "I neEDED THAT!" even got Optimus to stifle a laugh once, you swear. (Once, Ratchet came in on one of your random renditions, and he started to scold you for it, but you actually went right back at him, staying in character the entire time as the both of you began to bicker. Bulkhead very nearly pissed himself from laughing. Bumblebee was actually crying by the end of it. Arcee retreated to her berthroom and wouldn't come out until the next day for fear of the medic hearing her laughter. And, you swear it to this very day, you heard Optimus say to Ratchet after he'd stomped off, fuming, "I was not aware that we uncovered an Iacon relic that was capable of cloning, old friend.")
Ratchet, at first, would gripe about you playing your music out loud, even if it was quiet. He eventually lets up, however, and rigs up a simple, Bluetooth-like system in his computer that you could connect your phone to and play your tunes while you both work. He made you swear not to tell Miko, though, or else none of them would ever get any rest ever again. You notice that he tends to like country/western, especially Johnny Cash and Brooks and Dunn. He swore you to silence in regards to that fact, as well. (Sometimes you'll start humming "Ring of Fire" just to pick at him. It never fails to glean a glare from him. Never.)
Ratchet often longs for peace and quiet, and, sometimes, under the guise of you needing a break, you'll get him to pick some random destination on the groundbridge and take you on a drive just so the poor old medic can have a while to himself. You always keep yourself occupied in those times, opting to do homework or doodle in your notebook just so he wouldn't have to bother with you by thinking or talking. Sometimes he'll go off-road and find a concealed clearing so he can stretch his legs out and relax while you explore the immediate area or just stick close by. He'll start naming off birds as they sing, or cloud formations as they pass over your heads, his optics half-lidded and his voice calm and distant. You're certain it helps him, because he always seems a little less grouchy the next day.
Ratchet is fiercely protective of his family, as we're all aware, and despite his initial repugnance of humans, you've all grown on him and he considers you just as close to him as the Autobots. You're well aware of the soft spot he holds for Raf, and sometimes, you're ashamed to admit, you've gotten jealous of the boy. (It was when you had a close-call with a Decepticon scouting patrol, having been riding to base, that you got injured while Ratchet was evading the Vehicons' fire. You wound up with a concussion from hitting your head on his dashboard, and you'd blacked out. When you woke up, you were in the base and Ratchet was borderline hysterical. Optimus was standing nearby, looking quite remiss as to how he could handle the situation, while Ratchet had obviously been pacing a trench in the floor. As soon as he'd noticed you were awake, he'd started fussing over you, asking what hurt, he'd been so irresponsible and reckless and it had been his fault-! You'd interrupted him then, insisting so strongly and firmly that he couldn't have had any idea that Decepticons were going to pop up that Ratchet actually stopped, his mouth hanging open, his optics wide as he stared down at you in absolute shock. Something had passed over his faceplate at that moment, something you couldn't quite decipher, but what you'd said obviously cemented in his processor and it seemed to calm him down instantly. He then methodically went through standard medical procedure in regards to a cranial wound, as though he hadn't just been frantic over the very thought of you being hurt. Optimus had stood there, obviously astounded [and rather impressed, if you could read the Autobot leader correctly], before he'd come the closest to smiling you've ever seen and had quietly moved away. [Since then, you've never doubted your importance to the Autobot medic, and you never miss how an edge in his voice will crop up, asking if you're okay after he's made a harsher stop while driving.])
If you're one to draw or craft things with your hands, like clay modeling or woodcarving, Ratchet will be all over that like a marshmallow on a sweet potato pie. He finds absolute fascination in crafting, and will ask about it nonstop until he has satisfied his curiosity (which, in all honesty, will not happen). He's a mechanic, a physician, and a scientist, so he certainly knows about how important one's hands can be. He enjoys watching you work in whatever you do, and it's probably the only time he'll ever focus on anything that he himself is not doing.
If you struggle with insomnia, as a lot of us do, Ratchet will find that he sympathizes greatly. He most likely suffers from PTSD (I mean, who can deny that? Can you imagine some of the stuff he's seen, especially being a medic?), so that's probably one of the reasons he doesn't recharge that often. Nightmares can give quite an incentive not to even try to rest. But, if you ask him to lay with you because being with someone helps you sleep better, then by Primus, he'll do it. He hates to see you so frustrated, especially with yourself, and he'll even take you into his berthroom so you're both away from potentially prying eyes. He'll settle you either next to his helm on his berth or will let you lay on his chest plating, where it's the warmest due to it being the location of his spark chamber. And, while he watches you drift off into well-deserved sleep, he himself will find, the next morning, that he'd recharged quite soundly as well. (It would probably become a habit for the both of you, in all honesty. You'd take comfort and peace in each other, and if you're gone one night, then Ratchet doesn't recharge. He can't, knowing that you're somewhere else and he's here, alone.)
Ratchet does have a sense of humor, despite what everyone else seems to think. It only peeks its head out at very rare moments, but you spend enough time with him to know exactly when it does. It's a very dry, a very satirical sense of humor, and you'll catch it in the moments when he grumbles under his breath or when he's griping at Optimus. Every now and again, however...every now and again, one of the Autobots will do or say something, make a remark, and Ratchet will look over to you, slowly, raise an optical ridge, and proceed to snark the shit out of whatever the other Autobot had done/said. He only ever directs such remarks at you, however, just quietly enough that only you can hear, and it takes every iota of willpower in your body not to split your appendix from laughing so damn hard. (This happens very rarely, unfortunately, and you wish that you could record these moments and send them in to America's Funniest Home Videos or something. You'd win the freaking ten thousand dollars, hands down, no questions asked. Alas, as you cannot make any public evidence of the Autobots' existence on Earth, your dream of getting rich is diminished to you leaking tears and snot and almost shoving your fist down your throat in an attempt to stifle your inhuman noises of borderline painful laughter while Optimus looks over at you, quite concerned, and Ratchet looks far too smug for his own good.)
With you being this close to Ratchet, however, there is one thing is for certain - if you ever need to just bitch about something, no matter what it is or who it may be about, you can bitch to Ratchet. He'll listen without judgment, and he'll offer small reminders to keep you from being too malicious. He's an expert at taking the brunt force of someone's venting, and he'll always make time for you if you're in need of a good explosion of frustration or hormones. He knows when to speak, when to make you stop so you can collect your next round of verbal ammunition, and when to finally, finally take you in servo and allow you to snot and sob onto his faceplate if necessary. He never complains about it, never speaks of it outside of whatever room he managed to take you to in time, and always, always asks if you feel better after the tears have dried up and you've calmed down. (You've told him once that he could've hired himself out for therapeutic cuddles on Cybertron instead of becoming a physician, and you actually got him to laugh at that.) However, as he extends that courtesy to you, you must also extend the same sentiment to him. And by the First Thirteen, he takes full advantage of it. If you think how he gripes while the other Autobots are present is bad, then you haven't experienced what it's like to have him by himself in a room where he knows they won't overhear. You can tell he's the type to bottle up his frustrations, because he's almost explosive in these moments of solitude, and has almost melted the clothes of your body and the flesh off your bones before (this is only when speaking of the Decepticons, however). Fortunately, he never directs his frustrations directly at you - or maybe he does it on purpose, so he won't alienate you - and it allows you to give him advice on what to do and how to deal with some of the stuff he's fussing about. A lot of the time it's simple things, like how Bulkhead had broken one of his tools again, or how Optimus almost got himself killed fighting the Decepticons again, or how Miko had broken her amplifier turning up the volume to loud again and had asked Ratchet to fix it (again!). You figure out pretty quickly that you've become his anchor, and you can start to tell when he's in need of a good bitch-session. Sometimes you'll even go back and forth to save time. You guys are Best Bitching Buddies™.
Now, as much as you're certain to tease Ratchet, there is little doubt you're going to come up with a couple of nicknames for him. 'Docbot' is among the main members of your roster, as well as 'Sunshine' (courtesy of Wheeljack, thank you very much, Wheeljack). (Ratchet swears that you and Wheeljack get together just to exchange and compare lists of pet names that will infuriate him. You're actually kind of irked by how closely Ratchet made his assumption, but had never actually heard nor seen one such of your meetings. They do happen. Frequently.) Ratchet, under common circumstances, would most likely not give you a nickname. However, if you were to become his significant other, he'd ask that you stick to one name for him and, in return, he'd give you one. Any sane person would accept the offer, no question - who would pass up the chance at receiving any sort of affection from Ratchet himself? Honestly. He'd probably go for something simple but endearing like 'Sweetspark'.(Hush, don't laugh, let this old mech rest. He's an old romantic and he knows what he's doing.)
Ratchet would get you gifts, no question. They'd be for special occasions only, however, like your birthday or Christmas or maybe even a Cybertronian holiday of similar caliber. He'd get you something practical but with potential sentimental value, like a scarf ("Never mind that it's orange and white, it's soft and warm and Cybertron below me stop looking at me like that!").

Anime Winter 2019 Final Impressions + Plans for Spring 2019
(I’ve seen Screen Rant and Crunchyroll using this shot as a thumbnail for news posts when the second trailer dropped, so I might as well use it too 😂)
The very first anime season of the year ends and we’re moving on to the next one, and it appears that this season is going to be the best one yet, before I discuss why with what shows I’m going to watch, let’s go back to the Winter season to rank every show I watched this season!
(Just don’t expect to see Kaguya-sama on this post, I haven’t really watched it at all, sorry. (but I will binge it eventually))
1.- Mob Psycho 100 II: Mob Psycho 100 continues to be a sakuga wonder and powerful storylines, I always thought the first season would be much more memorable for me, but I think this season definitely tops the character development and plotlines.
As for the sakuga wonder, this proves why Mob Psycho 100 is being held at better hands unlike One Punch Man, it went from Madhouse to JC Staff which is utterly disappointing, but Mob Psycho 100 being adapted by Bones and continuing to work on it is the best thing the series ever has.
I still haven’t read the manga but I can probably tell this is not the series finale, I wonder if there could still be a third and final season so it can adapt the final volumes of the manga, since it has ended recently, that third season would come in a quicker time, maybe like a year, a year and a half, or two, I don’t know, but it’s not impossible for that to happen anytime soon.
10/10 - Rank: S++ - 100% - AOTS #1.
2.- Kemurikusa: This all-new reboot has completely lived up to my expectations and it delivered some neat changes to the original and some big surprises.
Part of my experience was a bit dragged by the uncultured assholes that is 4chan with “Kemono Friends 2″ is better and such (Since it’s 4chan, some of them could be trolls, some of them could tell the truth, can’t really tell for sure), but it didn’t completely ruin my enjoyment of Kemurikusa, this is no big deal. And then there’s also the janky animation, but it’s Tatsuki’s quirk, so I’m not completely bothered by that and let him have it.
There are still some plot holes around the universe and everything else that raises questions after witnessing certain moments, but I think it’s best to leave things as it is, I wouldn’t expect Tatsuki to answer every single question, or even touch the world again.
I wonder what's next for Tatsuki now that Kemurikusa is finished when it comes to a new TV project, another remake of his classics or a completely original series? He would probably continue doing shorts for now. Either way, I totally need more Tatsuki TV projects since Kemono Friends. But for now, I would expect to see shorts being posted by parts on Twitter and then the full compilation on YouTube and NicoNico.
I almost forgot, I needed to address something: For the longest time I’ve been hyping up to watch the original 30 minute series before watching this reboot, I realized that you don’t really need to watch the original, but you should at least acknowledge its existence. But if you want to compare this to the original that badly, then you do need to watch the original. (We’re back in square one lol)
And for all the haters, please read this thread, and when you finish doing so, apologize and go take the L, conche tu madre, thank you.
10/10 - Rank: S++ - 100% - AOTS #2.
UPDATE - April 4th: Okay, a week after the finale’s release (Wednesday), Tatsuki out of the blue released a brand new 12.1 short video! (So far it raises so many questions)
I genuinely did not expect to see more Kemurikusa content, sequels even, but this is quite a surprise. I don’t know how long this is going to be but I’m sure it could be a weekly release. Anyways, this is really neat.
Smiley Riku is best Riku.
3.- The Promised Neverland: This was a pretty solid adaptation and the suspense has kept me on the edge of my seat constantly.
I’m so happy to see that a second season got announced for 2020. I wonder if it’s going to be a My Hero Academia situation, where it started with 13 episodes (in TPN’s case, it was 12 episodes long) and later seasons have two-cours.
9/10 - Rank: S - 95%
4.- BanG Dream! season 2: The first season heavily focused on building Poppin’ Party, this season features all of the bands and some episodes were focused on each band, which I was really interested, definitely looking forward to the 3rd season in Fall. (which I genuinely forgot it was coming out too)
Speaking of season 3, I recently researched that Rokka is a member of RAISE A SUILEN, and I wonder if S3 might get a storyline with Rokka becoming a member of RAS.
This looks way better than Monster Strike, I like that the characters have more like shading/lighting than being pure cell-shaded anime-like, but my common complaint with Sanzigen, or maybe even CG anime in general, is that they tend to make some background characters completely hand drawn which doesn’t blend well with the CG characters, it’s just horribly noticeably bad and inconsistent. You can add hand drawn effects and such, but for the love of god, never do hand drawn background characters and even main characters in flashbacks. (like Lay and Tae)
The third season was originaly going to come out on Fall but it got delayed to Winter 2020, which is a bummer, it could have been like BBK/BRNK three years ago but time is always needed.
9/10 - Rank: S - 96% - AOTS #4
5.- Ikki Tousen: Western Wolves: After spending an entire week binging everything Ikki Tousen, I couldn’t wait to see what Western Wolves had in store given on what I last saw with Extravaganza Epoch (even though I kind of forgot already), with 3 episodes for 3 months, this was a solid series with good fan service.
I hope I won’t wait for another 5 years or so for another series.
8.5/10 - Rank: A+ - 88%
6.- Kakegurui XX: Now I’m worried if this was a worthy follow-up given MAPPA’s track record of making crappy second seasons, best example being Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul.
Occasionally I was less motivated to watch an episode when it came out raw and rewatch that episode with subtitles by whatever group and sometimes I also felt like this series was way over-the-top than I previously felt like the first season
Anyways, I thought it was a decent follow-up.
7.5/10 - Rank: A- - 76%
7.- Manaria Friends: Decent series, but the most important thing I want to talk about is, this was supposed to come out on April 1st, 2016, but it got on hold a month prior its release. Since CygamesPictures was founded in 2016, perhaps they took the series and reworked into what it is now, after 3 years of reproduction and release, I wonder if it was even worth the wait. I’m also surprised the show is 15 minutes long, I’m not sure if this was part of the original version, but it’s that kind of short.
For some strange reason, I wish any footage of the original version of Manaria Friends would be leaked somewhere. 😁
Now with Manaria Friends released, and with the upcoming Princess Connect! Re:Dive anime series (and maybe they even took Granblue Fantasy: The Animation (that’s right, it’s confirmed that it’ll get a second season) away from A-1, that’s my theory), let’s see what does CygamesPictures have in store when it comes to anime based on their IP and maybe even original projects of their own (which has gotten me more curious since I’m an original anime fanboy).
Also, the show’s English title is called “Mysteria Friends” for some reason. (Well, not really “for some reason”, there’s definitely a reason why, but I’m not that big of a Rage of Bahamut person)
I never knew the show was going to be 10 episodes long, since it premiered late in January, I thought it would run for 12 episodes which it could be in April, which is way late to the Anime Winter 2019 closing party, but closing the series at episode 10 feels like a good time.
7/10 - Rank: A- - 74%
8.- Boogiepop wa Waranai: Not much to comment on this one, and I haven’t really read the LNs, but this one seems interesting. The only thing I’m not a fan of is its own style of character designs, it just looks weird and doesn’t really respect much to the original artist’s style, which lead to this whole thing with this Twitter rants and Kadokawa apologizing for the miscommunication (Can’t stop talking about this), so I guess the damage control wasn’t worth it to get used to the anime’s designs. At least the animation and visuals look good, though.
7/10 - Rank: B - 70%
9.- Lupin the 3rd: Goodbye Partner: After Part 5, I didn’t expect a new OVA special would appear right away, it’s a self-contained OVA special, it doesn’t have anything to do with Part 5 at all, though.
The only thing I’m super dissatisfied is that in 37 minutes, it seems like there was a huge skip, we jump to a crazy situation right away, after a conflict Lupin and Goemon had with Jigen minutes prior, we see that they’re working together again, like, what? It’s just feels so random...
7/10 - Rank: B+ - 72%
10.- Mini Toji: This franchise continues to give less of an impact in my life and to consider it to be on the range that of Kancolle and Touken Ranbu (you know, those games I always joke about that Toji no Miko is their baby), one year later after the base anime series, they decided to make a short spin-off series, I couldn’t turn down the offer to watch it, I was curious on what’s it going to be, and the show overall is alright, it is funny at times and I had some laughs but it’s not too hilarious.
As for the chibi style, it just looks so weird. Seeing the image below which I found in 4chan when episode 8 came out just makes me wish they could have chose this style instead of the one from Mini Toji because the current style just looks so wrong.
And there’s also the most painful, if not, the worst running gag ever, Kaoru is always getting mission jobs from her boss, every episode we see her tired and it makes me feel super bad for her, let her rest, let her suffering end. ;_;
Not to mention the show has a very sluggish pace, everything happens so fast I don’t even have time to understand or even laugh at what the fuck is going on. For a 3 minute short series, the best thing they could have gone is make a shorter opening or don’t feature an OP at all, just feature a title card to open the show and that’s it. Or maybe they could have extended the run time to 7 minutes (a la Sugoiyo!! Masaru-san) so I can enjoy the pace better.
Unlike Manaria Friends, I did know but then I forgot this series was 11 episodes long, but at the same time it threw me off thinking there could be an 11th episode but then I realized episode 0 counts.
6/10 - 60% - Rank: C-
And now... time for the top 3 worst anime of the season!
11.- W’z: I’ve probably never paid a lot of attention to the trailers (and even vaguely remember it), I thought it would be a stand-alone and different kind of series with a lot more music themed or something, but when the series premiered, it revealed itself as a sequel to Hand Shakers... THAT’S RIGHT, A SEQUEL TO HAND SHAKERS NOBODY ASKED FOR.
Despite being surprised that W’z is a sequel to Hand Shakers, I’ve grown to really like the series overall in a short amount of time, it makes me like Hand Shakers more than I previously could.
In like 3 or even 4 episodes, I couldn’t stop fanboying out constantly seeing the characters from Hand Shakers who look so grown up after the 10 year time jump after the series happened.
I mentioned that I thought that W’z was self contained, there are some moments and characters that are barely self-contained because the plot is all heavily linked to Hand Shakers (not that I’m complaining, though). I genuinely didn’t care much for the new characters, except Yukiya because he’s the adopted son of Break and Bind (Real names: Reijiro and Yukine Araki, respectively) , and he’s the McGuffin for accessibility to the Ziggurat to find Nagaoka and Mayumi. The one character I was the least satisfied for their lack of development was Midori, at first he’s had a couple of interesting moments, but the rest he barely appeared in the series and only in the previews, but in episode 9, they finally gave him plenty of screentime and even dropped some good info bombs on what the Ziggurat can do and stuff, so that redeemed my feelings on the character.
Another complaint would be the DJ Nielsen character, he’s got interesting motives and he’s the one who gave Reijiro baby Yukiya in a flashback, but his rapper-kind of voice can be so annoying. He and CHU2 from BanG Dream S2 would make a great team, or maybe a contest on who speaks the worst. (SPOILER ALERT: It’s a draw, they’re both so bad in different levels)
Then we get to episode 10 where the most important thing is that NAGAOKA AND MAYUMI FINALLY SHOWED UP. It actually took so long for them to appear because there was like a lot of stuff in the way, but whatever, I was so happy to see them... albeit with a caveat. Since the goal was to get Nagaoka and Mayumi out of the Ziggurat, it turns out that the duo themselves can’t get out because they want to live a normal life and Nagaoka was sick, as Mayumi said. It’s a little sad and it sucks that they can’t get out, but at least Mayumi had a phone call with Koyori after all.
I thought episode 12 with a Midori/Seba episode (it wasn’t an episode dedicated to those two) and to be on par with Hand Shakers with the 12 episode total, but I’m glad there was a 13th episode to have a good conclusion, and boy, this episode delivered some good surprises: The biggest moment is where Nagaoka told Yukiya how much he has grown and then Yukiya himself straight-up called him “Dad”, like three episodes prior, I had theorized that Yukiya would be Nagaoka and Mayumi’s true biological son but I backed off because I thought it would be disturbing (maybe not really, Mayumi must be old after the 10 year gap and she and Koyori don’t look like they have aged at all), BUT IN REALITY, HE REALLY IS, GOHANDS THE FUCKING MADMEN. The second thing I was happy to see was Makihara, at long last the man finally shows up, he always narrated the first few episodes and I couldn’t stop saying “Show yourself, Makihara!” or something and then there were a couple of namedrops, they took so long but maybe they wanted to save Makihara’s appearance in the flesh for last.
This may not be the biggest deal, but since every single character from Hand Shakers appeared in W’z all grown up and such, the one thing I really wasn’t happy with is the absence of Hibiki and Kodama. Sure, they both got namedropped once (though Kodama was namedropped twice) and mentioned their current careers (Kodama being a singer and actress and Hibiki being a costume designer) but I never got to see them at all, maybe they weren’t the most popular amongst GoHands’ staff. They weren’t my bigger favorites of the Hand Shakers cast (and I don’t mean it in a negative way) but seeing them how they have aged would have been really worth it, come on, GoHands!
Despite the hideous visuals GoHands has grown to have in recent years, I really liked W’z, it makes me like Hand Shakers more than I previously could. If I really liked the show so much, then why it’s in the top 3 of my worst anime of the season? Well, mainly for the aforementioned hideous visuals, while they don’t bother me much, it’s for the sake of people who can’t stomatch it. (Says the guy who put Kemurikusa on second place and gave it a 10/10, Rank: S++, 100%).
Like Kemurikusa, W’z also has a couple of plot holes, which I don’t really expect they could get answered that much, but some parts certainly raise a lot of questions, most notable, this Composer character, we never got to see who was this Composer Senri and Hana worked with. (They both don’t have in common, but they both made me ask questions about the plot and lore.)
Regardless on how you feel about the visuals nowadays, I still want GoHands to continue doing projects, one day they’ll return to their former glory with good visuals like the K franchise and they’ll win their old fans back, but the more important thing is that I still want to see them creating interesting stories.
I’d like to see more stuff taken place in the Hand Shakers universe, just don’t make sequels with every 10 year gap because I don’t want to see all the characters from Hand Shakers and W’z grow really old and die, prequels would be fine to explore more on the Akutagawa/Okuike families and/or fill the 10 year gap between said series. If GoHands decides to make completely different IP that’s not set in the Hand Shakers universe, being its own self-contained universe, I would be totalyl fine too. (I previously thought W’z was a self-contained series before it premiered after all.)
You can call me a lunatic or tell me I’m high, and say whatever you want about Hand Shakers/W’z, I’ve grown to like the franchise and I got the balls to tolerate the visuals unlike you. Besides, It’s not about the visuals anymore, it’s about enjoying the story a lot more.
By the way, I made this meme ages ago and I’m so proud of it. 😂
5/10 - Rank: C - 52% - (AOTS #5 :^) ).
12.- Virtualsan - Looking: This got announced and released a trailer simultaneously out of nowhere, but when I saw the trailer (though it was focused at introducing the main VTubers) and the opening preview, I always thought the show was going to look half-assed, and indeed it did. And speaking of the opening, this series should have been hand-drawn so it would have been cooler to see the VTubers that way.
The bigger problem is that there’s no Kizuna AI at all, which many people aren’t happy with, I’m not worried too much since I like seeing the other VTubers (people should at least watch other kinds of VTubers, not just Kizuna AI alone). Even if Kizuna AI sings the first opening theme, it won’t make up for the fact that she’s completely absent. (At least try to learn to like other VTubers the same way you have your many normal YouTubers/Let’s Players you like, you dumb fucks)
The weirdest selling point of this show, Hideaki Anno was involved in the series. Yes, you read that right, the very same guy who did Evangelion and Shin Godzilla. No wonder why there’s this one sketch where we see the main cast dressed as the girl school uniforms from EVA.
The title of the show, Virtualsan - Looking has given a lot more meaning as I kept watching, it turns out that it’s actually referred to the VTuber Baacharu always watching, he always pops up at the very start of every episode and he’s a recurring star in “Listen Sister!” (forgot the name already, oops) where he always get thrown by Tokino Sora in order to confess to Sister Claire herself [Tokino]. Then he occasionally appears at this Siro segment where some VTubers take a seat and Siro gives a lot of trivia about different topics (then Baacharu became the last guest to star in this segment). It all makes sense now, but for some reason the subtitles called Baacharu “Virtual”.
Speaking of localization, for some reason Crunchyroll decided to license the series a week after its release, but guess what? The episode release schedule was behind, they simulcast the previous episode before the new one aired in Japan, that is until with episodes 5 or 6 which made things even.
There’s no real reason for me to hate this series, I quite enjoyed it and had a lot of laughs throughout the series but the half-assed special effects and stuff are not for the faint of Western audiences’ heart.
Though, I gotta say, this has the potential to spawn more genuine VTuber anime, I’m really optimistic to see more of them in the future.
4.5/10 - Rank: D+ - 48%
13.- Kemono Friends 2: *sigh* Oh boy, trying to write a series review on this one is going to be really tough, but to make it short, it’s as expected, Kemono Friends 2 is a soulless cash grab of a show, a shadow of its former self, definitely the WORST of the season. There’s just so many problems the show has:
Recycled storyline from the first season with a new human character nobody asked for.
Boring ass opening theme song that isn’t memorable and isn’t singable like WELCOME TO YOUKOSO JAPARI PARK.
Having two characters who serve the Raccoon and Fennec-type of roles. (despite having them featured in the OP numerous times and started to appear on episode 10)
Ceruleans look like unfinished CG mess compared to every character and heck, even the Ceruleans from the first season.
Occasionally inconsistent framerate from character movements, most of the time is a bit slow but there are a few times that it goes really fast.
Completely wiped out Serval’s memories of the events from the first season
etc.
Let’s go part by part:
The biggest crime of this season is of course not following the To Be Continued teased at the end of the first season and they decided to soft-reboot the series with a totally new human character, Kyururu.
Then, enter Armadillo and Pangolin, two characters who are looking for Kyururu for reasons [that is from the beginning of the series, later it was explained why they did it, it was to bring Kyururu to Domestic Dog], sound familiar? That’s because their roles are very like Raccoon and Fennec from the first season... when Raccoon and Fennec ALWAYS appeared in the opening (and then finally appeared on episode 10).
Speaking of the opening, the theme is a boring jazz earrape and it’s certainly not memorable or even singable as the first season’s opening, WELCOME TO YOUKOSO JAPARI PARK, those days are over.
I mostly didn’t even care for literally every character in the series. However, there are characters I do care, Kaban-chan (which I’ll discuss about her in a bit) of course, I will always care for Kaban-chan, and Domestic Dog, she’s the one Friend I’d definitely protecc because she’s a doggo and I feel bad for her in episode 8. The characters I’d definitely least protecc are Kyururu, nobody asked for a brand new human to take the Kaban-chan role, and Serval, because she doesn’t remember shit about the first season, they kind of ruined her character.
Serval was the worst change that has ever happened to her, as I stated, they basically wiped out all of her memories of the first season (or so it seems). Caracal told Serval that she had traveled with a human before and there was a small flash with Kaban-chan’s silhouette, this is one of the many things this season broke my heart very badly.
As for Caracal, the chemistry between her and Serval this season didn’t absolutely work here. Her character is depicted kind of a tsundere compared to her Welcome to Japari Park version which, gotta be honest, I definitely prefer the Welcome to Japari Park version and voice way better than the Kemono Friends 2 one. Without disrespecting the VA way too much, her voice for Caracal didn’t work for the character.
Rewatched a small portion of the first season, despite Serval having the same VA, she sounds a little different in Kemono Friends 2.
Speaking of Welcome to Japari Park, there’s the finale coming up in two weeks, so I hope it has a better conclusion than Kemono Friends 2 (which I’ll talk about later).
Now... let’s talk about Kaban-chan! If Serval wasn’t that of a poorly written character enough, Kaban-chan has definitely suffered the most! At the end of episode 5, a paper plane with a flame on its tip was flying out of nowhere, just to drive the Beast away, I heard a voice and IT WAS KABAN-CHAN!!! I was so happy that she finally appeared and I was eager to see more of her in the next episode, then the next week came and... she had plenty of screentime but... SHE DIDN’T DO SHIT! SHE DIDN’T DO A LOT OF SHIT, LIKE, SHE COULD HAVE INTERACTED WITH KYURURU A LOT MORE ABOUT WHAT DOES SHE WANT AND EVERYTHING, I CANNOT FORGIVE THIS EVER!
Well, it’s not like I wanted her with Serval to be like “Hey, Serval! Do you remember me?”, I understand she had her reasons and she must have been aware on Serval’s memory or something, but at the same time, she didn’t do a lot, though later in the episode, it was more focused on Kyururu talking to the owls about the origin of the Ceruleums, Kyururu theorized that the Ceruleans must have been spawned from the sea, and they all decide to test this out, which I don’t really blame too much that it turned out that way because they need to focus more on the overarching story of Kyururu’s search for her house, but come on...
At the end of the episode, Kaban says goodbye to the main trio, but most importantly, to Serval, as she asked Caracal to take care of her, she was downright sad. This episode was completely unsatisfying that I went so far to make a review out of it.
But that’s not the end of Kaban-chan, as she did appear in the final episodes, which I’ll talk about them in a bit...
But I gotta say, I really dig Kaban-chan’s new design. She has indeed grown up given by her height and her matured voice. 👌
There’s something I haven’t discussed very often and that is the NicoNico ratings. I haven’t seen these very often but I’ve seen two screenshots of two random episodes of the ratings, and guess what? Japan definitely voted for the “I didn’t like it.” option! Here’s a screenshot of episode 6:
This is the exact same episode with the underwhelming reunion with Kaban-chan, it deserved it.
This is very funny because, two years ago, Pop Team Epic also a lot of dislike ratings, but it’s not because PTE is bad bad, I think it’s because it’s a kuso anime and people would follow the gag that it sucks or something, but in the case of Kemono Friends 2, it’s plain bad.
Moving on, episode 9 came by, the PPP episode, and there was no Crunchyroll-Hime cameo from the first season, wow, the disrespect. Then we get to see Crested Ibis again! Though she was not a main Friend of the episode (as it is a PPP-centered episode), she has become more of a minor role, just doing auditions, she even name dropped Alpaca.
Next we’ve come to the one episode where Armadillo and Pangolin finally captured Kyururu and brought to her master, the master appeared to be a Friend called Domestic Dog. She started talking to Kyururu that she has finally met a human after a long time, she brings Kyururu to her house and OH MY GOD, SHE MADE DOG SOUNDS, DEFINITELY PROTECC, I’M BEING SERIOUS, PROTECC.
Then comes the scene where Doggo was protecting Kyururu from the Beast, the moment I saw her full of scratches and dirt, my god, I cannot unsee that, that was horrifying.
(Yes, I couldn’t resist bringing John Wick jokes)
Then when doggo let go of Kyururu, to come back to her friends, I felt so bad for her. I saw a comment on Crunchyroll where someone said “Oh no, she’s Seymour from Futurama” and things couldn’t be any more painful.
Right at the end of the episode, these two Friends from a promotional poster I saw a while before the series premiered finally showed up.
They’re purpose was to give Kyururu some sort of existential crisis (well, not that much) by asking her if her house really exists, why did she made her drawings, etc.
Now we’re finally in episode 10 where Raccoon and Fennec finally appear after being in the OP literally every episode ever (Maybe I was asking for meaning or pay-off way too much), then KABAN-CHAN REAPPEARS and that time she was hella serious because she, the professor and her assistant, found out that there were Ceruleans being spawned from Kyururu’s drawings. Kyururu then made a drawing of literally every Friend she has met, including Pigeon which she just met but wanted to include her, and that immediately screamed maximum danger, as I thought there would be a huge army of Ceruleans shaped like the Friends, this is where things got interesting.
Episode 11, comes this war of Friends vs Ceruleans shaped like them, blah blah blah...
Episode 12 came and NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT THE ENDING!
THE ENDING, I.... TAKE A LOOK AT THIS!
Then there’s the post-credits scene:
My face during the very end:
................................................................................................................................................................................................can somebody explain to me what the fuck just happened?
That Kaban-chan and Serval scene........ how could they do this to me.... and I don’t mean it in a good way.... Then that drawing with Mirai and two other Japari Park workers...................
THEY JUST MADE KABAN-CHAN SUFFER!!! ;_;
AND THEN THAT JAPARI PARK FRIENDS DRAWING, WHO ARE THE OTHER TWO WORKERS, MIRAI GETS TO CAMEO, EVERYTHING AAAAAAAAAAAAA
FUCK... THAT!!!
Sure, these moments should bring hype and I should be happy that they did this, the Kaban-chan and Serval scene and the drawing, but it won’t work for me, Kemono Friends 2 tries really hard to redeem itself with hype-worthy moments like these, they just won’t make up for this irredeemable garbage.
Now, I wasn’t a douche on watching the entire series, there are some moments that I found genuinely interesting, had some laughs and made me smile (probably out of confusion, I have problems smiling even on inappropiate shit), the models perfectly capture Mine Yoshizaki’s art style, but without disrespecting Tatsuki, at the same time the models feel lifeless compared to the first season’s.
One thing I don’t understand about the designs is that I’ve seen people in 4chan blaming Tomason for the lazy designs and stuff, or something like that because I’ve seen them use “they” and I don’t really think they’re referring to Yoshizaki, they must have been really referring to Tomason, and that’s not true, Mine Yoshizaki does all of the Friends’ designs, and please don’t call some of them lazy, don’t disservice the man.
Then there are also the next episode previews made by Kikuchi Milo featuring the characters from the first season. Because of Crested Ibis’ minor appearance in episode 9, now I kind of wish the Friends from the first season to show up in the series, not just the next episode previews.
There were also two ED themes, which I find it bizarre that a one-cour series changes theme songs.
We never got to learn more about the Beast character though, she was like an underdeveloped Friend and she behaved more like a genuine tiger animal or something, we never get to learn her origin, or even her race.
Boy, this review turned out way better than I expected, I had a lot of fun writing about this soulless pile of trash. I hope the Welcome to Japari Park finale will help me forget this shit, let’s see how it would build up to the first season of Kemono Friends given that it’s a prequel and this is really old footage, I’m sure there must be how the future of the series got set up or something.
This might have been the most brutal anime review I’ve ever written but it’s the truth.
Watch Kemono Friends 3 get announced but inb4 it could be an adaptation of the mobile/arcade game of the same name instead of following the anime’s overarching story.
Though I think if Kemono Friends 3 happens, it could still be a continuation of the anime's story and it has nothing to do with the mobile/arcade game of the same name. It could be a similar situation with Welcome to Japari Park where there's a manga and a short series and they're both totally unrelated.
To conclude this series review, let me just say this:
Kemono Friends 2 is the Pacific Rim: Uprising of anime.
0/10 - Rank: E - 0% 🔥 🔥 🔥 Hail Hydra (or in this case Hail Kadokawa) No Tatsuki, No Tanoshii
Fuck you, Kadokawa. 🖕
Fall 2018 ongoing:
At last, ongoing anime from the previous season, I wasn’t having this streak lately and it was about time I had it.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind: JoJo Part 5 continues to be strong. There’s not much to add but I got some small things to say: When I’m 4chan threads, seeing screenshots of Part 4 makes me realize that Part 4 is the WORST looking and poorly produced part out of all the rest, thankfully Part 5 looks way better.
Since I was so accostumed on how the characters sound like in All Star Battle and Eyes of Heaven, the new voices have definitely grown on me now.
Also, how does King Crimson work?
Ace Attorney season 2: I genuinely had this post written with JoJo as the only ongoing Fall 2018 anime alone and somehow I have forgotten about Ace Attorney despite still watching the series. I feel like I enjoyed the Bridge to the Turnabout episodes a lot more.
I felt like this second season has genuinely given me a little bit of a sour taste in my mouth unlike the first season, which it definitely lead me to drop the series, but I didn’t drop it completely, I have picked it up again around episode 10 because I felt bad.
Now, let’s start talking about the Spring season, and why is this going to be the best anime season yet? Well...
1.- Kimestu no Yaiba - April 6: I’M SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS ONE! Ahem, well, to tell you the truth, I just love being wowed by Ufotable’s fantastic visuals. I’m definitely checking this one blindly, I feel like this is something I should read the manga because I’m starting to feel like it could be an unfaithful narrative mess, and it’s already making me sad. But is Ufotable the type of studio to go off the rails and completely butcher the story? (Probably God Eater as people say but I don’t really see what’s with the hate and why is it offensively bad, I played God Eater Burst long afterwards, though. Call me an Ufotable stan if you want, but I really don’t see any problem with God Eater even when I binged it years ago, aside from a bit of animation hiccups (probably the/my first with (modern) Ufotable having a bit of hiccups) but I don’t mind it, I just enjoyed the way it is; people are gonna tell me this too and I’d be like totally disagreeing their opinions, refusing to seek the reality; I’d love to rush my ass off and read the manga like I did with One Punch Man, My Hero Academia and Monster Musume but I’m just so lazy to do it now, and I can’t read manga with over 100 chapters long.)
I always watch a lot of anime without even reading the manga first, even I don’t read JoJo (Even though I know some of the biggest spoilers from every part through the games) and Mob Psycho 100, but for some reason Kimetsu no Yaiba feels like a huge deal for me, I wish I couldn’t let the opportunity of reading the manga first go to waste, yet, I’m here about to watch the anime. I wish I could have realized this sooner.
Anyways, enough of that insane talk and wouldn’t boost hype confidence, I’m still going to enjoy it regardless how the story goes and the music might be something worth praising because the composers are fucking Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina, animation and visuals are no surprise worth of praise , I’m just ready to watch Ufotable’s next big TV project since Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu. (yes, there was 2018′s Emiya-san chi no Kyou no Gohan but it was a monthly series and each episode was 12 minutes long, so it’s not kind of a big deal; then there’s also the Heaven’s Feel movie trilogy (loved the second movie (even though I’m an anime only, I’m legit scared of Gavin and other kinds of elitists now; even though he unfollowed me)), but like I said, TV project)
As of March 27th, I read some news that Ufotable is under investigation over tax evasion and now I’ve grown way concerned than I was. It may not affect the releases of Kimetsu no Yaiba and even Fate/Stay Night Heaven’s Feel III but I just don’t want to see Ufotable close. After Kimetsu no Yaiba come out, let’s see how Ufotable will do.

(Use ROT13 if you want to decipher what I said here)
Quick update, I HAVE read the first three chapters, it’s relatively solid and given on the scenes I’ve seen in the trailers, I do believe Ufotable is going to make a pretty good job on adapting the series faithfully narratively.
But most importantly so far, I hope Ufotable will do justice this panel! Which I had posted this on my Kemono Friends 2 series review.
Bones disappointed me with the anime version of Mina’s “NO WAY” scene from My Hero Academia, and I hope Ufotable won’t do the same, I want a perfect recreation of that Tanjiro face.
Here’s the comparison below:
Anime:
Manga:
Do you agree on this? (If you don’t, it’s fine, don’t worry about it)
UPDATE - April 13th:
UFOTABLE, YOU FUCKING BLEW IT!!! GET BANKRUPT!!!
I changed my mind about Bones with the Mina “NO WAY!” part, it actually looks faithfully recreated, UNLIKE UFOTABLE.
(Alright, I gotta stop updating this post constantly with what’s happening right now)
RELATED: What will Ufotable’s final release be?
2.- One Punch Man season 2 - April 2nd: I’ve said this before and I will say it again, I’m NOT expecting OPM S2 to be any good and I’m NOT looking forward to it, even if I say that, I’m still going to watch it, regardless, but I’m not very hopeful for the visuals (Man, all I ever care about in anime is the visuals, I don’t give a crap of the story, I just want good animation!).
Since the release date is revealed to be April 2nd, which is Tuesday, I’m going to miss the good old One Punch Man Sundays when the first season came out, but Tuesdays are a good day for anime, so it’s worth it.
Well, I wrote that sentence literally like a day or two, and a new visual got revealed, it looks clean but it’s already not gonna look like that, very S1-like, given the first teaser trailer released. That aside, Viz Media confirmed that it will be premiered on April 9th on Hulu (RIP Daisuki.net), which that’s on Saturday, so that’s close on the good old OPM Sundays 4 years ago.
Actually, I’m pretty split on that information, in one hand, the official Twitter account tweeted the visual with the April 2nd release, but in the other, Viz Media tweeted that it comes out in the 9th and calls it “the same day as Japan” and “ Details and availability regarding the April 2nd special programming in our territory are currently unavailable.”, I’m so confused.
(Sorry, this post has been in progress for the entire Winter season and I’m writing stuff I was currently experiencing at the time)
March 18th, the second trailer dropped and somehow I’m kind of alright with it, still not super impressed but at least it’s kind of something. But the biggest let-down is the new opening theme by JAM Project revealed in the trailer which it’s not as great as THE HERO. I’m a bigger fan of the way THE HERO is, I’m probably the more upbeat type of person, and with this? I don’t want something calm, I wanted a more action packed song! I hadn't payed a lot of attention to the editing of the trailer with the black screens, but yeah, it's so bad.
The more I think about the trailer and seeing people’s reactions, I’m starting to think it’s really looking like absolute ass than I previously mentioned, so I couldn’t agree more. But hey, at least I love seeing some of the jokes and memes related to the trailer.
I thought I had to wait until AnimeJapan to drop the trailer but they decided to do it now.
I now understand what’s with the April 2nd and April 9th releases. The April 2nd release is going to be more like an special of sorts and next week is when the series for real starts. It’s the same issue I had with Kemono Friends 2, but that was unpredictable at the time, so with One Punch Man, I can totally wait for next week. (At the time of posting this, the day has come)
3.- Attack on Titan season 3 second cour - April 28th: It’s seriously been like annoyingly forever after the first cour ended in Fall 2018, but I’m finally it’s going to continue.
I still don’t know what took so long, but whatever.
4.- Isekai Quartet - April 9th: From what I see now, this is going to be more like a show with different isekai projects focused as sketches or something, I randomly thought it would be a crossover but apparently it’s not the case. Regardless, I’m still going to watch and enjoy the way it is.
By the time I saw its announcement, I immediately went to binge Re:Zero, I have seen Youjo Senki, Overlord and Kono Suba, so I needed to watch Re:Zero so I can be complete or something.
Since I write this post as time goes on, the trailer for Isekai Quartet has released and indeed it is a crossover like I wanted!
5.- Girls’ Frontline comedy anime short - ???: It appears that we’re getting our first Girls’ Frontline anime and it’s a comedy which it’s even cooler.
The trailer was first revealed on a BiliBili livestream on January for Chinese audiences, then a few days later, there was another livestream taken place in VTuber Nekomiya Hinata’s channel for Japanese audiences, where they showed off the same trailer but one frame of new footage and then there’s a new trailer for another Girls’ Frontline anime, that’s right, we don’t have just one, but two different Girls’ Frontline comedy anime, this one’s focused on the AR Team and 404, and the other one has a variety of T-Dolls featured, but the former is the bigger focus here.
What I find rather surprising about this short anime is that ever since they showed the trailer on said livestreams, there’s no official upload of the trailer, not a whole lot of news sites reported about this, and not even a full release date after two months. I thought there would be more information on AnimeJapan 2019 but there was nothing in sight.
So I guess I’ll have to wait until April to see if this will indeed come out, it could be a surprise release not everyone is going to notice or it might be delayed to Summer. Nevertheless, I’m excited to see this one, and the other one too but I prefer this one with the AR Team and 404 the most.
By the way, thanks for tagging me twice on these Girls’ Frontline anime, Moetron. I’m happy that I let you know these trailers exist. Here, have this powerful image of G11 meditating.
6.- Fruits Basket remake - April 5th: I never watched the original Fruits Basket and I’ve been seeing a lot of announcements about returning English voice actors and stuff, I dunno why but I’m thinking the remake could be overhyped with all this stuff, but I’m sure it’s still going to be enjoyable for the people who read the manga, who watched the original anime series and newcomers alike.
Speaking of the manga, I wondered why is there a need for a remake now, one of my friends told me that there could be an actual ending of the series since the original anime prematuredly ended when the manga was still going at the time, so I believe the remake might add the manga’s ending or something, I don’t know anything about it but it sounds like a likely thing to happen.
7.- Miru Tights - May 11th: There isn’t much to comment on this one, but it’s interesting because it’s basically Yom the anime. Yep, the man of the thights is getting an anime. Who would knew one day this would happen? Also, it comes out on May 11th, it’s kind of an unusual date even for a web series.
8.- 四月一日さん家の (Watanuki-san Chi No) - April 19th: After Virtual-san wa Miteiru, it seems like the anime industry wouldn’t give up on start making anime with VTubers now.
Unlike Virtual-san wa Miteiru, this one’s not really classified as “anime”, it’s more like a drama as its official Twitter account says or something. Well, at least this show stars Tokino Sora as one of the three leads, so it’ll be interesting. Though I’m not sure anyone would really like to torrent this but at the same time it’d be a waste not to.
9.- Bungou Stray Dogs season 3 - April 12th: I’ve watched the first two seasons of the show in December 2017, then watched the movie in my cinema with my older sister on her birthday, I’m definitely quite a fan of the series, not completely hardcore as I need to read the manga, but I’m fine for now. Anyways, I’m glad there’s a third season happening and can’t wait to see it.
There was originally going to be a Chiitan anime this Spring but it got delayed to Summer. And yeah, you read that right, a Chiitan anime.
HONORABLE MENTION (Since that just happened): Pop Team Epic special: I genuinely forgot a special was going to occur on April 1st (being April Fools), but I’m glad I watched it and still loved it like the base series and now I want season 2.
Thanks for reading this post, this must have been the longest post I’ve ever made yet for so many reasons. What’s your most anticipated anime of the season?

10 Best Foot Massagers To Buy In 2019
Pooja Karkala May 27, 2019

Show your feet some TLC by investing in any of these foot massagers. Let’s now understand what features you need to look for while purchasing one.
Features To Consider Before Purchasing A Foot Massager
The design of the foot massager plays a huge role in influencing your massage experience. Every foot massager has specific massage types and modes. Some massagers allow you to place your feet comfortably on the deck without enveloping them completely. They are usually lightweight and portable. These devices mainly focus on the soles of your feet. Other closed massagers work on the sides, soles, and arches of your feet. They combine two or three massage techniques for maximum benefits. These models are expensive and require more maintenance. Some models have a remote control feature with which you can personalize the massage technique.
Massage Type
Pick a massager that compliments your need. If you are a busy person, high-intensity foot massagers are best. But if you require therapeutic massages regularly, pick a water-based foot massager. If you have chronic pain or plantar fasciitis, go for shiatsu foot massagers as they target the deep tissues. Some foot massagers are specifically designed to improve blood circulation and loosen tight muscles. But if you are looking for a variety of options, some foot massagers accommodate features like oscillating massage, deep kneading massage, combined with shiatsu massage, and heat massage.
Speed Control
Some massagers have rapid speed control, while others have medium speed control. These settings depend on the massage type. If you choose a therapeutic foot massager, the speed settings are minimal. High-intensity foot massagers have high-speed control. However, it is always better to begin with a lower speed to help your feet get accustomed to the device.
Heat Settings
Heat therapy helps relieve muscle pain and relax tightened joints. It brings instant relief to the arches of the feet by distributing the blood evenly.
Portability
Not all foot massagers are portable. If you wish you take the massager to your office or on your trip, pick an open design foot massager as it comes with a bag. Closed design massagers are comparatively heavier and bigger.
Keeping these points in mind, pick your favorite product from the list. Try it out and let us know how it worked for you by commenting below.

Assessment 1B - Character Design
For Assessment 1B, we were asked to design our version of the Wizard of Oz characters as per the Haunted Forest script. Our main character and at least one secondary were to be developed in full, ie. construction sheet and turnaround.
To begin this assessment, I compiled a lot of references and inspiring pictures that I could draw from to bring my characters to life. As I had already decided this was to be a very Asian influenced Wizard of Oz, I began my search with the country I know the most about (Japan), and actually found that the ideas for my characters began to fit together nicely.
My Dorothy was to be inspired by the Japanese miko, or shrine maidens, that attend to the Shinto shrines.
Toto I decided would be a Shiba Inu, the Japanese breed of dog.
I couldn’t quite decide at the beginning how my Scarecrow was to look, but I knew I wanted him to have a henohenomoheji face – a face created by Japanese characters that children often draw. A few ideas I was tossing between were dressing him as a monk, or just a simple traveller.
In Japan, komainu (or lion-dog) are lion-like statues that appear guarding either the entrance or inner shrine of Shinto shrines. I thought basing my Lion off of this would play in nicely with Dorothy being a miko.
My Tin Man I wanted to be a protector, and my mind instantly went to a samurai. I thought that perhaps he could just be a suit of armour with nothing inside.
Lastly, although she only really makes an appearance at the end of the Haunted Forest scene, I still really wanted to have an idea of what my Wicked Witch would look like. I’ve always found these female masks in Noh theatre quite unnerving, and thought that it would be a wonderful idea to have the witch wear this, while underneath it her face is quite ugly.
When I had the basic ideas of what I wanted my characters to be and look like, I chose my two that I would work on for the final pieces. I decided on, obviously, working on Dorothy, as she is the main character, and for my secondary I decided to work on the Scarecrow. I always thought those two had a cute relationship in the movie, and I envision them to be the same in my version.
Beginning with Dorothy, I did some thumbnails, playing around with ideas and sometimes straying from the miko path just in case I found something different I liked. I did however really like the miko the best and did a few further sketches of faces in my sketchbook.
Along with the Dorothys there is a Scarecrow, Lion and Witch, as well as some shapes to work out some shape language, but for the moment they are unimportant. Deciding on the age of my Dorothy was the main thing, and I did end up liking her being a small child in the end.
Children are extremely adventurous and innocent, and I wanted my Dorothy to be like this rather than an older more proper Dorothy.
I also decided at this point, as she was a child, perhaps when she met Scarecrow he had no face and she was the one that drew his henohenomoheji face for him. Little things like this that fit together really make the character real I think.
Taking Dorothy further, here is her construction sheet. She is approximately four heads tall, with her arms a little longer that what would be normal to balance out how short her torso is. I wanted her to be mainly made up of soft, curved lines and circles as the shape can be associated with something cute as well as unthreatening. To contrast that I added the triangle shape of her hakama (the pant skirt).
Here is her final turnaround without and then with the construction/measurement lines.
I actually found this quite challenging, as I have never attempted a turnaround and drawing consistently has never been my strong point, and you really need to do that to do a both nice and believable turnaround. Thinking in 3D space is still a struggle, however I hope that these issues would just be overcome with practice and repetition. I actually really like my little Dorothy, I think she’s quite cute and likeable. I would want to liken how I envisage her personality to the female heroes in any Miyazaki Ghibli film – a strong young female lead, but still with some flaws as she is still a child.
Next I worked on Scarecrow.
Here are some thumbnails I did for him. I actually had some trouble as I didn’t want him – or at least his silhouette – to look like just another normal person. I felt something had to define him as a scarecrow stuffed with straw. Hence I chose to carry on with a design that had straw as a feature.
My construction sheet for Scarecrow, as well as some examples of faces made from Japanese characters. He is approximately 5 1/2 heads tall and as noted, very much based on flow. As his body is stuffed with straw and I imagine he’s just sewn together, he is very round and cylindrical, with no harsh lines except for his walking staff, laces, and anything straw.
Here is my final turnaround, again with no lines and lines. I had the same struggles as I did with Dorothy – keeping everything consistent and thinking in 3D space – but I’m still pleased with challenging myself on these. I hope to improve in the future. I do like him, I think he looks quite friendly and not the sharpest crayon in the box, which is really what Scarecrow is all about.
In addition, I did a few roughs of what I decided the other characters are like.
Here are some sketches of the characters, as well as a block in of height differences and checking that the shape language is interesting enough. On the top you can see some different emotions coming from Dorothy, and I thought her long hair could also reflect that.
Here was a rough drawing of Dorothy, working out some colours and personality.
Lastly, here is a rough drawing of my team all together.
I’ve really learned a lot during this assessment to do with not only figure drawing, consistency, and thinking in 3D space, but with collecting resources and inspiration to try and build my very own characters. Even though they are based on a pre-existing characters, I feel that I have made my own new versions that work well and I am happy with. They have their own backgrounds and stories, as well as their own world, and I really enjoyed seeing them develop through their stages. I definitely need to practice more with turnarounds and drawing consistency, but nonetheless, regardless, I had a lot of fun and look forward to learning more as we continue to the next stage.
