I'm not sure how well this will do or even what I'm exactly putting here. I feel just so under pressure to make this work. I see others work as hard as I am and make it but I'm struggling to make more than a few hundred dollars by the end of the month. I want to be able to do what I love and survive financially. I know my partner supports me and wants this to grow as much as I do but I feel so guilty that he goes to work to pay for our house and I'm just struggling to make enough to feel like I'm truly contributing.

To be clear art is my life and I'm not trying to make it sound like I'm only in it for the money but I do need to make some.

I just updated my webstore and I hope it does well but I'm worried it might not be enough.

If it would be possible, could I ask for advice, suggestions, feedback on the website, my work, etc. Thank you for anything Tumblr folks might have to offer, especially reading my little rant 💜

Comment: This was incredibly cute and fluffy! Even though it's a short fic, it set the scene really well and it was so easy and lovely to get lost in their little world for a bit.

I don't actually think severe penalties for plagiarism are ethical or effective but we don't have time for an armchair penology rant. I'll just say that in my limited experience as (former) teaching faculty, the only anti-plagiarism policy we had with evidence that it was effective, was adjustments to the coursework to ensure that if someone was not ready to take a particular course, they realized this before the drop deadline.

I don't watch video essays at all and I had never heard of James Somerton before the hbomberguy takedown dropped, but given this experience I wonder if he, too, got in over his head. Making $170,000 a year on Patreon sounds great but think about what kind of pressure to keep performing that must be.
