One of my most succesful and exciting projects. Working with the hot superstar sensation that is Matt Cleare, this R&B masterclass of an album stylized as “BUTTERFLY TWIST!” is an amazing addition and spin to cinematic rock invasions into shoegze R&B. Working closely with the artist and his agent, we’ve striked a good balance between grungeyness and what Matt calls a “DIY Popstar” aesthetic. Having been given full creative freedom and assigned as the art director of this project, the combination of album visuals (cover and tracklist) along with different social media promotional pieces and animations into the mix brought this project to fruition. This animation includes a small sample from the artist that gave me permission to use for my portfolio.
