Here are the common features I saw among Zionists on the Internet:
They have the Israeli flag on their profile picture (Seriously, it's weird, I can understand the Palestinian flag, because it's not the first time people showed support like that, it happened with the French flag at one point, but yours? Strange)
They often have Hebrew in their descriptions (Although their blog is usually in English) and mention that they are Jews (It's probably not a crime, but it does its job with Hebrew… I don't know why, but when I came across Zionists, their description always has words in Hebrew and mention that they are Jews…)
Of course they are bullshitting around the clock on October 7 and blaming Hamas (Because even the Palestinians themselves are Hamas to them)
David star, related to the flag of Israel, but sometimes you can come across a Zionist with this symbol on his profile, not every person with this symbol on his profile is a Zionist (I saw one person in the tags about free Palestine who talked about what Israel is doing to the Palestinians, so yeah , compared to the flag of Israel it is not so certain, is anyone a zionist?
Of course they will deny the existence of Palestinian Jews, what do you require? That they accept other Jews who are not European?
They will use your ethnicity and origin as an attack (Poles, Germans and Muslims)
Of course you will meet Zionists who will claim that other Holocaust victims are "Stealing Jewish things"
Profiles without profiles, but entire blogs are fucking porn
They will attack other Jews in the comments for supporting Palestine, using the texts "You hate yourself" or "They would kill you there"
Of course they will defend Israel's crimes, because the Torah told them that they deserved this land, so fuck the indigenous people (Which they are not, because they are Europeans, or possibly Asians)
Threatening with rape because their level is typical of housing estate pathology
Everyone is anti-Semitic, even Jews, what the fuck don't you understand?
They use information as fresh as a student's sandwich left in the haversack all summer long
Of course, for every crime committed by Israel, they will go into "But Hamas!" mode
They love pinkwashing and homonationalism, unlike LGBT+ people who don't buy this shit
They love to see themselves as victims when real victims want to hit them with a frying pan
Racism, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, Zionism in a nutshell
Their empathy went out for milk and didn't come back for decades
Sure they will call you a Nazi even though they collaborated with the Nazis, which sounds legit
They swear more than a typical Pole
They don't know the difference between manja and swastika, but they themselves wouldn't want their star to become a symbol as they see manja, which has nothing to do with Nazism, and also has a rich history and has been around longer than Hitler stole it, yes, it makes a lot of sense , yes, it references the Pokemon controversy because oh god! In the Japanese version there is manji, and this kata was imported! Obviously it's time to cancel Japan!
They are so fucked up that they enjoy raping Palestinians and dying children…
Yes, Polish anger, when Damian Soból died, Israelis started memeing it and calling him a Nazi (And from Hitler), so I don't have much to add, I won't forget it
I don't know why but a lot of Zionists are LGBT+ which is weird, it just sounds sus (I'm aroace)
Many Zionist blogs have "Anti-Semitism" in their names, which is interesting
They consider Poland a country that cooperated with the Nazis, which is a lie, Poles were victims of the Nazis, and many died in concentration camps along with the Jews
Of course they appropriated the watermelons, because Zionists only know how to steal (Oh, you can see how much Polishness they have)
You can fight for Sudan and Congo, but you will be an anti-Semite because you are also fighting for Palestine, what don't you understand, you stupid non-Jew?
A text about Ukraine, because of course, white people have to be in the spotlight all the time, and the rest? They not white so they has to die, typical mentality…
Of course they use the Jewish tag, because it is known that Zionists must represent the Jews, no, good plan (They probably think they are safe, no, you won't be safe, we will harass you for supporting the genocide)
Yes, these are many of my observations (But probably many others had them too)
Zionists are simply trying to disguise themselves, but the truth is that it looks like manipulation to them, which is shit

Im genuinely really disappointed in Kittycorn for the fact that despite kit's relatively large following, kittycorn has said NOTHING publically about palestine, despite having the power to lead a lot of people to a lot of resources.
“Kit doesn’t have much of an internet presence outside of Sparklecare!!!” Then explain to me why i see so many popular artists who barely share jackshit about their personal lives, not even their pronouns, and yet still reblog and share stuff about Palestine. Kittycorn has literally 0 excuse not to say *anything*.
I'm gonna be so real and say that I'm half-expecting Kittycorn to be like "oh i dont reblog anything about it cuz it makes me sad :-((("
kit could at least like. Draw the Sparklecare characters in support for Palestine. Kit could do the bare fucking minimum here.
Kittycorn has such a large following and a lot of power, whether kit likes it or not. I understand Kittycorn did not want this large following, nor does kit want more of it, but christ can you fucking do something?
I don't know why people aren't talking about this.
holy fucking shit youre right. ive noticed that too but i didnt wanna bring it up because i know that would make me seem "desperate" to "attack kit" or something but yeah. the ONLY thing ive seen kit do to raise awareness is post an announcement with the arab.org link in the comet caring club server. yknow the one that most fans DONT EVEN KNOW ABOUT since its closed off? yeah. no public statement or anything. no tags in any bios, no watermelon emoji, nothing. COMPLETE SILENCE on anything that isnt kits own comic. fucked up, especially since the sparklecare blog is without a doubt kits biggest platform.
there was this fanart of uni holding the palestinian flag and it was really accurate to the official artstyle, i thought it was official when i first saw it. and it had a shit ton of reblogs, including me on my main. i recognized so many names scrolling through the list. but wanna know who i DIDNT see? thats right, the official sparklecare blog. kits either ignoring it completely or actively dancing around the subject, which is NOT GOOD.
i am in no way trying to accuse kneeby or anyone on the sparklecare team of being a zionist, but i would definitely like to highlight the blatant ignorance the official blog has shown. this isnt the only time ive seen kneeby act this way, as kit also has #blm #acab in kits twitter bio but from what ive seen kits done absolutely nothing to actually raise awareness to said causes, which rubs me the wrong way since im black myself. however now kneebys completely avoiding doing anything, not even a hashtag anywhere. just a single announcement in a private discord.
and yes im putting fanart and au tags on this post, people need to notice this. do better.

US Senator Mark Warren is sponsoring a bill called the Restrict Act that will allow congress to designate any foreign body as a threat to national security and jail and/or fine (up to $250,000) anyone who is convicted of consuming “threatening material” from said foreign body.
A Palestinian woman in Israel was already arrested for this (the act hasn’t passed in the United States but the Israeli government does whatever the fuck they want). She was found to be liking posts about freeing Palestine and that alone was enough that they confiscated her phone as “a threat to security of the state” and convicted her of being a terrorist.
When this bill passes (I could say if but almost everyone in office right now supports it so it’s probably a when) our government will be able to send people to jail for liking tiktoks. We can be sentenced for so little as googling and reading an article on the history of Hamas. And this is just in regards to the current conflicts; I don’t even want to imagine how many of north americas enemies we wouldn’t be allowed to engage with at all.
What follows is a summary of the bill, taken from congress’s website. The language can be hard to understand but I’ll do my best to go over it after.
This bill requires federal actions to identify and mitigate foreign threats to information and communications technology (ICT) products and services (e.g., social media applications). It also establishes civil and criminal penalties for violations under the bill.
My words: This bill allows our government to crawl the internet and invade the privacies of all users. Any sympathies found with the USA’s political non-allies will be flagged as a federal crime and threat to national security.
Specifically, the Department of Commerce must identify, deter, disrupt, prevent, prohibit, investigate, and mitigate transactions involving ICT products and services (1) in which any foreign adversary (such as China) has any interest, and (2) that pose an undue or unacceptable risk to U.S. national security or the safety of U.S. persons.
My words: the Department of Commerce will monitor any media associated whatsoever with the USA’s political non-allies and any person who interacts with it will be federally charged. Extreme censorship will also undoubtedly follow.
Additionally, Commerce must identify and refer to the President any covered holding (e.g., stock or security) that poses an undue or unacceptable risk to U.S. national security or the security and safety of U.S. persons. If the President determines that the holding poses such a risk, the President may compel divestment of or otherwise mitigate the risk associated with the holding.
My words: I don’t know much about “holdings” so I’m assuming this is just a way to take more people’s shit. (Feel free to add onto/educate me about this in the reblogs/tags/comments.)
Commerce may (1) designate any foreign government or regime as a foreign adversary upon a determination that the foreign government or regime is engaged in a long-term pattern or serious instances of conduct significantly adverse to U.S. national security or the security and safety of U.S. persons, and (2) remove such a designation. Commerce must notify Congress before making or removing a designation; these actions are subject to congressional disapproval.
My words: this is just repeating that the Department of Commerce has the right to name any foreign body as an adversary and risk to national security, they only have to make sure Congress knows they’re doing it.
The bill outlines (1) enforcement mechanisms, including actions by the Department of Justice; and (2) civil and criminal penalties for violations.
My words: this is the part that mentions enforcement (censorship and threats) and penalties (jail time and heavy fines) to those who do not comply. The worst part is that the Department of Commerce is under no obligation to inform the public about which foreign bodies are designated as non-allies, so you could be sent to jail for looking at vacations in Thailand if they were an unacceptable government at the time.
Im not trying to start a panic but this is genuinely terrifying, especially when paired with Project 2025 and every other bill currently being lobbied that limits free speech and is basically turning our country into a dictatorship. We need a full reform, at every level, top-down. We can’t just vote a better person into office, because of the electoral college. We need a revolution.

Hi! I don't want to start anything on here and am always willing for civil conversations. At this point there's so much I've found out about Seb (besides the video he liked, the tommy lee thing, and the girlfriend thing) that I feel so guilty if I would continue to support him. I love him sm but it just doesn't look good rn. He is associated/follows an organisation (for helping veterans) that has posted a blue lives matter flag picture and who's co-founder has sexual assault allegations against him, and worked with him in 'The last full measure'. His friend Paul Walter Hauser has done blackface in the past, and when called out on it he just listed a few people that also did blackface. There's more, I found a discussion on here that I can link. I seriously don't support "cancel culture" bc I don't think it helps anyone but there are just a lot of 'mistakes' and shady people that can be linked to Seb, I wish it wouldn't be that way. I honestly don't know what to think about it anymore.
Hi! I’m also open to having civil conversations and I don’t believe you’re trying to start anything. I really do think this situation of dragging up a four year old video and taking it completely out of context is harmful not just to Black people, but to fandom/activism in general. This is gonna be long because I’m going to take your points one by one, and I want to preface this by saying that I will not answer any derogatory, sideways asks pertaining to this subject. I will delete every single one and will block your silly ass. I’m not going to argue with people who think I’m blindly supporting Sebastian because I’m just trying to get fucked by him, or people who think I hate myself and am trying to appease some white man.
So, on with the discourse!
The video he liked - this video was taken completely out of context and that is my main issue with this whole situation. It was not a video of a white man saying that he thinks he should be able to say the n word as everyone claimed it was. They were quickly debating on whether or not it's okay to say in rap lyrics. He was told no, that's not okay, that's never okay and they moved on from it. That's it. End of story. That somehow was twisted into a click bait style headline of "Sebastian Stan likes a video of a white man defending his right to say the n word" when that is absolutely not true. My other issue is that people are more upset that Sebastian liked the video than they are about the white man in the video literally saying the n word. So, do you really care about the use of the n word like you're claiming? Cuz if you do, you'd be more upset at the white man that said the word than you would be about the white man simply liking the video. Or, are you just using this as an excuse to grandstand against a white man you don't like?
The Tommy Lee thing - Sebastian Stan playing Tommy Lee does not make Sebastian Stan a bad person. Is Charlize Theron a bad person for playing Aileen Wuornos, a prostitute who started murdering men? Is Leonardo DiCaprio a bad person for playing a slave owner? Is Edward Norton a bad person for playing a nazi sympathizing racist? Actors play bad people. That doesn't mean that they themselves are bad people. 1990's Tommy Lee was a bad person, but that should have no bearing on who Sebastian Stan is or his character as a man.
The gf/Paul Walter Hauser thing - Why are we holding Sebastian accountable for what the people around him are doing? Again, why are we more upset that Sebastian is associated with people who have done questionable things than the specific people themselves? I'm not going to speak on the kimono wearing -- I'm not Asian. It's not my place to say whether or not its offensive because it's not my culture, but she posted that picture and attended that party before she started dating Sebastian, quite possibly before she even knew him. Same with Paul. I think that black face thing was long before he knew Sebastian. Now, if Sebastian was defending these actions, going around saying "I think it's okay for white women to wear Kimono's" "I think black face is fine" "I think white people should be able to say the n word" then we'd have a different story, wouldn't we? But that's not what we have, and that's not what he is doing. He is not responsible for the things his friends do or have done in the past just because he's more famous than they are, and he is not required to speak on them. Let's put it this way -- would you be comfortable having to be responsible for something a friend of yours did before you knew them? Would you want to have to be forced to answer for your friend when you yourself had nothing to do with the questionable behavior?
The organization that supports the military/blue lives matter - Sebastian cannot control what message that foundation puts out and it does not mean that he is or is not pro-police himself. There is not enough concrete evidence -- if any evidence for that matter -- that Sebastian is a blue lives matter supporter. Did Sebastian donate before they put up the blue lives matter post? Or after? I don’t know, cuz I don’t follow him that closely, but if he donates before they come out with a particular stance, that means he should be held accountable for that? I know I donated to an organization once and they turned out to support something that i’m 100% against. That means I’m a bad person because I couldn’t see into the future? Another point, how can we be certain that Sebastian saw the blue lives matter post in the first place? I know I’m not online 24 hrs a day, I miss posts all the time and I’m just an average person. I make three or four tumblr posts a day, and I’m gone. I have to play catch up on social media, and even then, I still miss stuff. So I’m sure the same happens to a working actor. As for the co-founder, I don't know who this person is and would rather not get into any allegations against them because I don't want to trigger anyone who comes across this post. If Sebastian knows about these allegations, is a willing participant/supporter of this person then yeah, that's pretty shitty, but we don't know the inner workings of this friendship/acquaintance/work relationship. We don’t know how close they are or if they even still speak.
I’m a pretty big fan of Don Cheadle. He’s a stand up guy, he’s a great actor, he’s funny, he’s political and stands up for what he believes in and in a very public way. I support him. Don Cheadle is also friends with Chris Evans, RDJ, Mark Ruffalo, and Letitia Wright (just to name a few). Chris Evans has a bipartisan forum that highlights/promotes right wing politicians, RDJ defended Chris Pratt during the whole “he’s the worst Chris in Hollywood” crap, who’s technically done black face, and who once said to a female reporter “nice tits” when she walked into the room, Mark Ruffalo just walked back his support of Palestine, and Letitia Wright retweeted/supported an anti-vaxxer/anti-trans Pastor who equated an ingredient of the covid vaccine to the devil because it contained some parts of the word Lucifer. Does that mean Don is now a bad person because he’s friends with these people? Why isn’t he getting any heat for his friendships with them? Why isn’t he being held accountable for what they’ve done and said? Oh right, because he’s not a white fave. So people don’t care one way or the other, which brings me to my next point.
I can guarantee you that if Sebastian’s gf or Paul or this co-founder were not associated with Sebastian in any way, nobody would give a shit about her wearing a kimono, about Paul doing black face, or about the co-founder/organization being blue lives matter supporters and in that lies the actual problem. Being critical of people and their actions should be consistent and should happen all the time -- not just when they interact with your white fave. That’s when it becomes performative and looks like you just want to be able to show internet people that you follow/support/stan unproblematic celebrities, when really, you don’t care.
I think the moral of this post is that I think it's unfair to hold a complete stranger to a standard that I cannot hold myself to. I also don't view celebrities the way most teenagers/twenty somethings do, and that’s because when I entered fandom we didn't have social media, so I grew up with a wall between myself and said celebrities. There is no wall now with the presence of social media. "Fans" nowadays have a weird ownership feeling over celebrities because they can read their personal thoughts or view personal pictures and think that they have this personal quasi-friendship with them. I can't get on board with that. I prefer having the wall and I still keep the wall.
If supporting Sebastian makes you uncomfortable, then by all means, stop supporting him. Just make sure you are making this decision for yourself based on credible sources and concrete evidence and that you're not letting this fake woke activist mob make you feel uncomfortable. Internet activism means nothing unless you put your money where your mouth is in your real life and 90% of the social justice internet warriors do not. Real activism is bigger than changing your avi to a black square.

Carly: Demi Lovato fucking hates me. I’m fucking done and so do my other mutuals. Fuck this. Fuck everything. Fuck life. I’m done with this shit.
Claudia: What’s wrong
Carly: I started this fucking hashtag. The thing is I was supporting her. The Lovatics I asked to join were supporting and defending her. I’m just fucking done with every goddamn thing in my shitty life. I guess this is what I get for trying to support her and send her love. Whatever.
Screenshot: I’m extremely frustrated, I accepted a free trip to Israel in exchange for a few posts. No one told me there would be anything wrong with going or that I could possible be offending anyone. With that being said, I’m sorry if I’ve hurt or offended anyone, that was not my intention. Sometimes people present you with opportunities and no one tells you the potential backlash you could face in return. This was meant to be a spiritual experience for me, NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT and now I realize it hurt people and for that I’m sorry. Sorry I’m not more educated, and sorry for thinking this trip was just a spiritual experience. Going against all advice right now and apologizing because it feels right to me and I’d rather get in trouble for being authentic to myself, that staying quiet to please other people. I love my fans, all of them, from all over.
POST: Demi doesn’t deserve this kind of backlash. #weloveyoudemi
ddlovato: Or how about y’all stop having to make hashtags saying you love me every time you realize your words affect me?
Carly: I’m the one who started the hashtag because I fucking love you. I’m not the one who hurt your feelings and the Lovatics who I fucking asked to join were defending you. So I’m fucking sorry and won’t do it again.
Carly: Forgive me for standing up for you then and trying to show you support. I guess I’m done then.
~.O.~
If you have to ask me why I hate this woman, here’s another example. Let’s ignore the invalidating of other queer people simply because she never experienced homophobia from a certain person. Let’s ignore her siding with a genocide-supporting asshole. Let’s ignore her body-shaming of other women because of her own insecurities. Let’s ignore the myriad of other issues and just use this example.
Carly is a Twitter mutual of mine. She loves Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato equally. However every time Demi does something rude af or wrong, she’s at the forefront defending her no matter what the infraction is. To every fandom on stan twitter. To an annoying degree because I hate Demi as a person and don’t want to hear about her. But Carly is a nice person so I just shut up and say nothing whenever I see her Demi posts.
Recently Demi has been kissing Israel’s ass about how perfect they are essentially and how cleansing and calm the country seems during her trip there. A good portion of her fans were very quick to call out how not perfect they are and explain what’s going on with Palestine. They basically just asked for her to be more considerate of other people and what countries that aren’t America, are going through. Now the rest of stan Twitter has not been as kind with her on this matter. Most calling her very terrible names that shouldn’t be repeated even by me who hates her.
But her own fans have been very calm and defensive of her. And so comes that Insta Story and then the rude ass remark on that Insta post.
And now Carly is heartbroken on Twitter and saying some very concerning things that should be monitored closely.
Demi’s own fans are calling her out for her overreaction to a simple post telling her that her fans love her even if she makes mistakes. I don’t care if she’s feeling defensive, she could have simply ignored the post if she didn’t like it. She didn’t need to attack the people behind the hashtag. The person running that account and Carly are now feeling horrible as a result. Add on the fact that she’s been replying to other fans in equally terrible ways and blaming them for the fact that she’s going offline for a time.
dmetriaspickle: bb, we all feel sorry you’re feeling so bad, we just meant to make you see whatever was going on there, it was not our intention to make you feel bad about this, we all love you and just want you to be happy.
ddlovato: Oh don’t worry, you guys made me feel terrible about it, and prob qwill continue to do so. I’ll be hibernating
So I have another reason to hate her. Not just how rude she was to her own fans but because of how she loves her double standards. I can think of so many times where she criticized other celebrities for not being ‘educated enough’ on various topics and where she publicly dragged them for it, but when she’s in that same boat it’s a Poor Me, I Didn’t Know, Stop Being Mean To Me.
No. Her fans have been going to bat for her ungrateful ass all over stan Twitter. They tried educating her while tearing down anyone insulting her. I’ve seen nothing but them being supportive left, right, & center and this is how she treats them?
1.) Being a fan of someone doesn’t meant you can’t criticize questionable actions of theirs.
2.) Being a fan of someone doesn’t mean you can’t be offended by questionable actions of theirs.
3.) Anyone trying to tell you otherwise is a problem.
The fact that she did the ‘you caused this and will probably continue doing it so it’s you’re fault what happens from now on’ is wrong af. That’s the most concerning thing imo. That kind of manipulation tactic is a red flag. And now all these fans who were honestly concerned/offended by the things she was saying and doing unawares, are made to feel like if she has another breakdown, it’s gonna be their fault. Because when Demi gets in too big for her britches on social media, she ‘takes a break’. Everyone knows it.
It’s all about how their words affect her, but she won’t take account of how her words affect them. Because whether people want to admit it or not, Demi has the most power in this situation. She is the famous, wealthy, pop singer. She’s got some decent numbers in various ways on her side. And fact is, the fans who sided with her and thought the Palestinian fans were overreacting, are now attacking other Lovatics on her behalf because of her comments.
And her fans weren’t dragging her! Stan Twitter was collectively at the helm of this bs and the Lovatics were on the defense. Demi is taking her anger out on the wrong people and I hate it.
#i fucking hate this woman#you don't get to hide behind mental illness over and over again when you keep doing the same shit#mental illness isn't an excuse to be shitty to people

So I'm mostly over the whole CDM mess at this point, but some of these defenses are truly incredible. I...I really should stop reading them, but I can't fully look away.
In fact, out of morbid curiosity, I checked @projectqu*er's blog to see if they'd said anything further on the matter---and they'd actually posted a statement "in solidarity with Chicago D*ke March" from an affiliated Jew who is attempting to stick up for them, you know, so the white goy running that blog can feel justified in talking over the rest of us.
First of all, it's nothing short of absurd that people are seriously giving CDM the "solidarity" they've been calling for (SOLIDARITY!), as if they are somehow being oppressed or in any way mistreated by being widely held responsible for their antisemitic actions, which they still haven't apologized for or even acknowledged.
Secondly, I'm...I'm really just fucking floored by huge swaths of this statement, wow. I mean, it pissed me off at first, but now I mostly feel sad for this person and all the antisemitism she seems to have internalized, which is pretty easy to do in that sort of environment from what I've seen (sadly). I hope someday she can truly, unequivocally *know* that it is possible to support Palestinians as an unabashedly Jewish person---without forgetting all our Jewishness entails, without rewriting our histories or glossing over so many legitimate realities of the diasporic experience. I hope she can reconnect with her own Jewishness someday. I hope she's okay.
I mean, she basically frames the whole thing as if wanting to exist as a Jew in public is seriously akin to White Fragility, as if *public existence* is actually a thing that fucking white goyim would *ever* have to worry about...ever, in any fucking universe, at least on the basis of being white goyim. Like?! When is the last time anyone was kicked out of an event because of an explicitly pro-LGBT cross, even though white Western Christianity has persecuted and oppressed countless groups of people pretty much since its inception (DEFINITELY including Jews)?
But the MAGEN DAVID is ALSO on THE ISRAELI FLAG!! Yeah, and as much as plenty of leftists (myself included) might verbally shit on the American flag or whatever, CAN YOU IMAGINE a white goy EVER actually being expelled from an event because of an American Pride flag, the likes of which can literally be seen at comparable fucking events constantly, even though this country is itself undeniably violent and imperialistic?
Anyway. She also attacks both Ellie Otra and Lauren Grauer on a personal level, effectively demonizing both of them, characterizing and dismissing both of them as Fragile Whites obviously---acting as if they were both affiliated with A Wider Bridge (and as if A Wider Bridge is something much more insidious than it really appears to be) when only Lauren Grauer is actually affiliated with AWD, and this was discovered after the fact as far as I know, and it was not brought up by her as far as I know, and it definitely had nothing to do with her flag or why she was fucking there---ignoring the Persian part of Ellie Otra's Jewish background and all the ways in which that could further complicate goyische perception of her, especially white goyische perception of her---and mysteriously making no mention whatsoever of Eleanor Shoshany-Anderson, the Iranian Jewish woman who would most certainly be considered a woman of color by anyone's standard, who also had a Jewish Pride flag with a [*gasp*] Magen David on it and was booted precisely the same way, you know, for having *the audacity* to be visibly Jewish. She is just...unnamed, forgotten. Erased. How convenient.
And like...fuck, you know? Fuck.
It's hard to know exactly what to believe at this point, since CDM's Official Story has changed several times now. But this person does also assert that Magen Davids, arguably the mostly widely recognized symbol of Judaism and Jewishness in general, were effectively banned because Palestinian marchers were triggered by seeing them on a few rainbow flags.
Um. Okay. Giving her the benefit of the doubt and assuming that isn't just a bullshit excuse, like assuming there really were Palestinians there who really were triggered by that image, triggered as in legitimately having a *trauma response*...I can think of at least a few alternative means of supporting them without infringing on anyone else's rights (you know, just off the top of my head):
-They could have explicitly reassured the triggered marchers that they were safe and supported there, reminding them of where they were.
-They could have marched alongside the triggered marchers and made space for hearing them out---directly, intentionally making themselves emotionally available to the triggered marchers if they needed to talk through any thoughts or feelings.
-They could have physically helped the triggered marchers stay away from the triggering images---marching around them, in front of them, or behind them as the case might have been, you know, whatever---just making sure the flags weren't especially visible to them or at least trying to block those triggering images from their direct view(s).
Did they even *try* taking any of these sorts of measures, by any of their own accounts? No. Of course not. And as far as I'm concerned, it is still indefensible and completely uncalled for to just...jump right to interrogating and booting people for visibly taking pride as LGBT folks within their own marginalized cultural background, ethnicity and religion, you know, to *literally expel* them for being visibly Jewish. Fuck.
I used to be pretty frequently triggered by people grinning at me the wrong way, bringing me back to a sexually traumatic incident from my adolescence, but I would never tell any of the people around me they're not allowed to smile.
Sometimes I'm triggered by the sight, smell and taste of bananas because my abusive ex forcibly shoved one in my mouth before dragging me across the kitchen floor, but I would never banish anyone for eating a banana.
Sometimes people in ED recovery are triggered by the mere sight of Very Thin or Very Fat bodies; and if you knew this was the case for someone in your space, would you *actually* tell someone else to "cover up or get out" because you knew *their physical form* could be triggering? I would sure as fuck hope not. Because that is no way to behave.
And despite the particular form of hypocrisy that I mentioned earlier, I *could* understand kicking them out if those flags had in fact been Israeli flags at an explicitly anti-Zionist event, if those flags were *actually* supposed to be making any kind of statement about Israel/Palestine or if those flags had been, hm, I don't know, anti-Palestinian in any way.
But the fact remains that they were Jewish Pride flags. They were quite obviously Jewish Pride flags. And goyim have absolutely *no right* to decide what an ancient Jewish symbol means.
That's the thing, though: any awareness of more general goyische/Jewish dynamic seems to immediately evaporate in these sorts of anti-Zionist spaces, if it was ever there at all (which ultimately helps no one). Suddenly there is no discernible memory amongst *non-Palestinian* goyim of the Crusades, the blood libel, the Inquisition, the countless murders, the multiple expulsions, the pogroms, the forced assimilation, the Venetian ghetto, the historical segregation in numerous countries, the Holocaust, the Farhud, the discriminatory laws, the ongoing hate crimes, all the current ways in which our religion most definitely isn't regarded as the default in *every country except Israel,* none of it. None of it at all.
Because having or maintaining any active awareness of that sort of stuff makes all the most accepted narratives too messy, too multi-faceted. So suddenly all Jews (or "Zionists" as thinly veiled code for "Jews," as the case *sometimes* legitimately is) are framed as privileged oppressors in every context *in the world,* and I have literally had this kind of thinking espoused to me by people whose ancestors very likely persecuted mine at some point.
But it's fine in the name of anti-Zionism, right? It's all just anti-Zionism for sure!! Because Jews have ~never~ existed before the contemporary state of Israel and still don't exist outside of it, clearly, except in Evil Zionist Cabals. In fact, I am pretty obviously typing this from the Globalist Zionist New World Order Illuminati clubhouse. Duh.
From this person's statement:
"...Zionism is a system of power and control places Jews in a position of privilege vis a vis Palestinians.
This means that when Jews enter an anti-Zionist space, we accept that we are entering it under certain conditions. As beneficiaries of the system of power and control that those spaces were set up to combat and dismantle, we may be held to a higher political standard. We may be required to affirm certain political positions in order to remain in the space. We may be asked certain questions about our politics because of our positions of privilege. ... That is our role as accomplices, and privileged people in that space. Other privileged groups of people are treated the same way in social justice spaces, and that is the norm in our corner of society."
As beneficiaries. As ACCOMPLICES. I just. Wow. WOW. Other privileged groups of people? That would all be well and good if *all Jews* were in fact "the beneficiaries of the system of power [of Zionism]," (holy fuck), but that is certainly not the case. I mean, *how* are any Jews *here* at all privileged on the basis of "Zionism's" existence, or on the basis of our Jewishness specifically? Name one way! One fucking way! Without relying on those good old antisemitic tropes!!! I bet you fucking can't?!!
Of course some of us *are* privileged on the basis of our (debatably conditional) access to *whiteness* which is important to remain cognizant of, but we're certainly not privileged in any way specifically *because* we're *Jewish*---and the access some of us do have to whiteness is really in spite of our Jewishness, not because of it.
Of course we would have privilege as Jews in Israel. Israel is the one nation-state in the world where we would be privileged specifically on the basis of Jewishness, but we are not living in Israel. This is not Israel. Regardless of how any individual American Jew may or may not feel about it, we are not living in Israel. Even in radical circles, even at an explicitly anti-Zionist American q*eer event, this is still the United States---and the actual implications of our Jewishness here in this "Christian nation" don't magically vanish when we enter an "anti-Zionist space" for one LGBT March or any other kind of event.
Pretending otherwise to suit your agenda, however well-intentioned it might be in regards to supporting Palestinian folks, is really bizarrely dishonest if not outright absurd. It is not just forcibly, violently rewriting our people's entire fucking history, it is also erasing the ongoing context of how diasporic Jews very much do still exist as a marginalized ethno-religious group in the entire rest of the world (including here, unfortunately, as we are being so blatantly reminded of now with the emboldenment of literal Nazis). And would you deny this completely? Or do you somehow truly believe that it can be ignored?
#It's 4 in the morning lol I'm gonna be so tired :/ sry 4 the length but like#fuck#antisemitism#Chicago Dyke March#CDM#fuck them#fucking fuck#personal#:/
