I love reading how buck and eddie yearn bc they do have most of what they want, and they can try to convince themselves they don’t need anything else…but then they’ll think about having more kids, or kissing, or living under the same roof, or all the other things they can’t do under the platonic label

the thing is, anon, it's two fold

number one, you underestimate their ability to overstretch the truth in order to get what they want. living together? lots of people have roommates, and Buck's already at Eddie's half of the time, the other half he's at work. so obviously it's economically responsible for them to live together and split the bills and groceries etc etc. kids? well they're already raising one, what about one more? sex? friends with benefits do exist! and the thing is, they can do all this, they can live together, raise children together, have all the sex they want, and they will still yearn. because those idiots are possessive commitment whores. they want the commitment. they want to stand before their friends and god and everyone and scream "HE'S MINE" (and even then the yearning won't stop by the way. pining is a state of mind. one they both have mastered)

the second part is, well, there's nothing stopping them from being together. and that's the fucking kicker to me. they're not citizens of rival countries in some fantasy world whose marriage will cause a scandal. or blood sworn enemies. they're friends in love. who raise a child together. they're firefighters. humans. normal human fucking begins. if they want to be together they should fucking be together. but noooo the Narrative says no (not yet) and someone (Eddie) is refusing to look at the Buck shaped hole in their body and soul

i’m a big fan of the kas!eddie theory because there’s nothing i love more than a brainwashed man with a Came Back Wrong storyline.

ESPECIALLY if that brainwashed man who came back wrong ends up getting his bell rung by the good, noble guy from his past who doesn’t actually wanna hurt him but has to in order to protect his loved ones.

i am SUCH a sucker for brainwashed came back wrong guy starting to get his memories back and he can’t complete his mission because he’s starting to remember. he knows this good, noble guy. he knows his friends.
