"She's stable now, and I've restored her to full HP. However, healing takes a toll on all creatures. She is going to need to rest—no matter how fine she acts when she wakes, tell her that I said to stay in bed for at least a day."

Asgore spoke softly to the skeletons in the room, hand resting on Angel's forehead. Her pained expression was smoothed over, replaced by abject relief, her eyes just barely open. They were still glowing that bright purple, but duller now, clearly having given up on forcing her HP to halt now that Asgore was there.

"Humans get especially fatigued when healing. It takes a lot of energy, even supplemented with my magic."

"WOWIE! THAT SOUNDS TERRIBLE."

Asgore merely chuckled, raising a claw to his mouth to remind Papyrus to stay quiet. The skeleton shut his jaw with an audible snap, looking a little guilty though his eye sockets glowed a bright green in relief.

"Thank you for calling on me for this—she was in an incredibly precarious position. Her HP was—"

"low. too low. she shouldn't have survived that."

Sans interjected, off to the side with his arms crossed. His expression was tight, permanent grin just a little strained despite the relief showing clear in his eyesockets.

"...that was magic, right?"

Asgore shut his mouth and looked down at her again, her eyes blearily focused on some distant point. Still glowing.

"...Yes. I never would've imagined a mage falling in all this time..."

"so what do we do?"

Asgore thought hard, eyes trailing to the nearby window.

"... I'm sure you're aware of how rare purple magic tends to be. I'm afraid I cannot do anything about helping her control it, beyond what any monster would teach a child. Perhaps seeking out someone who can may be beneficial—so she does not...show it off in public."

There was a mutual look of understanding among the small group. Bad enough that another human had fallen down here—a human mage would likely incite fear and backlash from everyone who didn't know her personally. The residents of the Starlight Isles (and Ruined Home, perhaps) might be understanding, given how popular she'd gotten as Starstruck...but the rest of the underground? It wasn't worth the risk.

Asgore bid them adieu, only stopping to brush a few strands of hair off of Angel's forehead before he made his choice to walk home. Papyrus prepared to sit and stare at Angel, but Sans cut him off before he could. Even if the taller skeleton wouldn't admit it, the last few stressed hours had taken their toll on him.

"i'll keep watch, bro. go get some sleep. you're dead on your feet."

"NO I'M NOT—WAIT, THAT WAS A JOKE, WASN'T IT?!"

"to-marrow is another day. go rest. or you'll have to listen to more of these—"

"BYE!"

Papyrus zipped up to his room before Sans could hit him with the rest of the joke, bypassing the stairs entirely and simply vaulting the balcony above, landing with cat-like grace with nary a whisper. His door would've ordinarily slammed, but apparently he was still conscious enough of Asgore's reminder to stay quiet that it instead painstakingly slid shut.

Sans turned back towards the human on the couch, noting that her eyes had finally shut. Her head lay flat on the cushions, a blanket of Papyrus's tossed over her form. Something about the scene nagged him, and he shifted from foot to foot before glancing back up the stairs to Papyrus's shut door. He raised his hands and slipped his cape off his neck, messily bundling the blue fabric up before kneeling in front of the human, one hand taking her shoulder (CAREFUL, his thoughts screamed, remembering the injury even though it technically no longer existed) to tug her forward.

"Huh...?"

She sounded rough, her eyes blinking open at the movement to stare at him with a somewhat comical expression of annoyance.

"lift your head."

She did as told, the skeleton swiftly tucking the make-shift pillow under it and patting her shoulder back down.

"get some rest."

"...'kayyy..."

He turned and walked to the television, switching it on. Then he went to the lightswitch and shut off the main house lights, casting the room into darkness. It was almost dark enough for him to pretend not to see how she turned her face into the fabric of the cape, a dopey smile settling onto her expression as she nuzzled into it.

One of the funniest things I've seen Sanuso haters/dislikers say about the ship is how "Sanji would never", as if we hadn't seen Sanji constantly protecting Usopp and caring about him deeply, sometimes even more than the rest of the crew does. As if Sanji and Usopp weren't constantly paired together in their arcs pre-ts and weren't seen in the background next to each other all the time. "Sanji would never" as if Usopp wasn't quite literally everything Sanji can't be and as if they didn't complement each other perfectly.

I love furina so much, I hate the infantalization of her sm it's not even funny. I was talking about this to my friend yesterday and it's genuinely infuriating, so let's start

1. Her backstory was extremely sad and it made the fandom feel sympathy for her (as it should). But it really does get to a point. The fandom instantly started babying her and turning her into a "Traumatized silly who eats cake 🥺". I really hate to bring this up, but regarding how people in the fandom treat neuvifuri just says it all. "Furina's literally his daughter" She's a grown ass woman who's his FRIEND 😭. That is a popular headcanon, one that I genuinely hate because it's literally just another way y'all baby her. The fanart with this headcanon just says it all, with furina being extremely short and being insufferable to neuvilette for some reason.

2. The reaction you get when you find her attractive in the same way people find characters like yelan, chlorinde and ei attractive. She's short (like most of the female cast) and flat chested so people think that makes her a child. "She's cute not hot" it low-key just shows how half you people who were "excited" about her not being oversexualized and having normal body proportions aren't actually all that accepting, because the second you aren't curvy like the other female characters, they instantly see them as a child.

3. "She's one of wriolette's children!" ☠️ No hate to normal wriolette enjoyers but the main reason why this fandom sees her as a child is because of this ship. For some reason, this fandom thinks female characters get in the way of gay ships, so they have to make them pick-mes or children. Same thing in the hsr fandom, with mozeqiu and how they babied feixiao.

4. 98% of her fanbase has an extreme victim complex and it's genuinely concerning. Most of the genuinely bad Furina hate stopped after 4.2 when her backstory was released. Everyone had a valid reason to dislike furina before her backstory dropped because nobody likes an 'bratty' archon who SEEMINGLY does not do their job, especially after a lot of us were hyped for a female character who could do her job instead of abusing her people for a couple hundred years and then instantly being forgiven..⚡ "proud to say I never hated furina" I know 50% of people who say ts are lying LMAO. She's also a fictional character. Dislike her if you want, you're not a misogynist.

5. Too much focus on her trauma, it's been months, I get it, it's tragic, but what else? Y'all done gave her the aventurine treatment and then claimed to love her ☠️

6. I understand headcanoning her as aroace for fun but I can tell when it's because y'all don't like a certain ship, it's just another way to baby her. "She needs healing, not a boyfriend!" And it's coming from a wriolette shipper?? Neuvilette needs healing too but I don't see you headcanoning him as aroace. Fandom acts like significant others are just people who hurt you more, like you can heal WITH the person bro 😭👻.

1. My take on their canon relationship: it's so underrated I love what they have. they're opposites in so many ways, and even with atsumu often being disliked and being quick to judge others, these two only have respect for each other. I love that kita is so proud of atsumu post-ts, and that atsumu is still in awe of what kita can do, even if that's growing rice now. they balance each other out and bring out the best in each other, all while having a good time together.

2. Do I ship them: all the way to the moon and back. they're meant to be.

3. Reasons why I do/don’t ship them: their canon relationship is already great, and we know they care about each other. atsumu literally cried over the care package kita put together for him. they're opposites attracting, but in the most important ways they're the same, both always working hard and doing their best to improve themselves. there's so much potential for comedy with their clashing personalities. so much potential for angst and pining since they both view the other as out of their reach somehow. so much potential for fluff since they both deeply care about those closest to them, esp family. and, this is really just the personal icing on the cake, I like senpai/kouhai ships where the kouhai is significantly taller hehe

4. Headcanon, if any: kita often sends atsumu packages whiloe he's working on his farm and atsumu lives in osaka - usually they contain some rice kita grew, as well as pickled vegetables and other things he made, but also general little gifts like face masks in winter or a small umbrella after atsumu mentions losing his old one. with each package comes a note. they're not anything special, just reminders to take care of himself and share with osamu if he visits, but atsumu keeps every single one of them, he has a folder with protective foil to tuck these notes into, and if he feels down after a lost game, he always looks at them.

You are so right. For the first time ever, I block quite a lot of my moots in twitter and tumblr. I can't believe all the things they said about BNHA (especially Izuku). Personally, I love all the events until now. Do I have complain here and there for a certain characters? Yes, of course I do, but that does not made me hate BNHA. Izuku is a great character and one of my favorite protagonist from all media....Also, as BKDK shipper, I love all the canon moments between Izuku and Katsuki (sorry if maybe you're a fan of Izuku but dislike bakudeku ship).

You know I don't hate IzuOcha ship (I think it's kinda cute) but I do dislike most of their fan right now. One of my ex moots said, "Damn with this events in BNHA. F*ck, at least Midoriya will end up with Uraraka. If somehow Midoriya don't end up with her and only thinking of Bakugou, damn I don't follow this series for the gay sh*ts...."

Like, I'm mad and sad when reading that... For me, I wish Izuku don't end up with anyone at the end of the series (as much as I love BKDK ship, I know it's impossible to be canon). Don't you think it will be funny if there is plot twist and somehow Ochaco end up with Shoto?

I've felt that exact feeling since I got into BNHA.

You and I mostly do have the exact same feelings.

Starting with the ships, neither I have a problem with. I have ships just as much as the next problem, but the past year or so has taught me that when it comes to ships, some people don't actually see the characters as individuals and only seem to care about that characters for the sake of their ship.

Which sucks because I feel that takes away a lot of understanding the story. When you don't understand the character's story from their personality to their backstory to their growth, most likely you're not going to understand the overall story.

I hate seeing things like "Well, at least Uraraka will end up with Midoriya" because that just tells me that the person is maybe here for the shipping and that's it and don't care about either character.

Like, why are people so eager to see Uraraka become a wife and have kids? She is a, what, 16 year old girl who wants to be a hero! I want to see her be a hero!

And look, I know BakuDeku got some amazing moments together and some really would make someone go "I ship it". I don't hate it, some of you who followed me long enough know I don't. But at the same time, let's acknowledge they are separate characters. Yes, they're almost like a package deal because they've been in each other's lives since forever. They're going to be intertwined like that.

But come on! How about individually?? Midoriya became my favorite easily and not because of Bakugou.

Like, again, I'm for shipping. I got my ships. But it's not the ships that annoy me (unless otherwise like... *shivers*), it be the shippers.

And yeah, sometimes for any story I read I may have a complaint or two, but I will never understand people who built their whole blogs around "critiquing" and nothing else. Like, damn, how fucking perfect you want the story to be?

In fact, write a story that doesn't get anyone coming at you with something they don't like about it. Impossible. Because someone is going to have something they don't like about it.

Those people will have "takes" and then I just know they have read the story at all. They would miss details or misinterpret the characters how they want them to be looked at and still have no idea what they're talking about.

This fandom, some of the people can be fuckong switch ups, I swear.

So first, Midoriya is too emotional and a crybaby and it's obvious that his flaw was just emotional driven he can be. But now it's a fucking problem he's expressing his emotions at an appropriate time? It's a damn issue he isn't crying for a gag?

Y'all got to be fucking kidding me. This is the same fandom who at a time didn't give a damn about the villains. Who were like "they don't deserve redemption, they should die" even after learning their backstories. And now y'all want to advocate for them? Actually mad even though the story is not even completely done yet?!

I wouldn't say I'm an expert on BNHA or any story I read up. At the end of the day, I am just a fan who happens to be very entertained. I'm here to have fun. But the way this fandom, that fandom and every other fandom be acting makes me feel like I'm reading some whole other manga, watching some different copy of an anime.

[Note: okay, I did giggle at the thought of Horikoshi doing that with Uraraka and Todoroki. I doubt it would happen and I'm not saying it should... it's just funny to me because just yesterday I was thinking something similar with two different characters.]

Just noticed you said you're still answering the ship classification game :) how about Usopp/Kaya?

Makes Sense, but like a medium amount of compelling?

To me, Usopp and Kaya are fun and cute in the way that his relationship to her helps round out the complexities of his backstory, and I like the idea that he has someone he cares for back home (in a different facet than His Veggie Boys). That being said, I sort of think I like it more from the perspective of young love? I think they should both be allowed to grow into adulthood on their own. I was talking to a friend earlier that I don't know if I actively ship it in the way I don't actively ship myself with my ex-boyfriend from when I was 16, but I still see it as an important time in my life developmentally.

I think there's a lot of emotional honesty in acknowledging the circumstances of being close to someone when you're younger, but also living different lives. I like to think that he thinks of her fondly, and she him. But I don't know if I like the idea of them getting together at the end of the story? Like, if his goal is to go around the world and return to Syrup Village, I'm worried it would be easy for the plot to almost "give" him Kaya as a representative reward for his achievement, which I don't like but could see happening. Like it would be a gross framing (but also not the first time I've disliked op plot "rewards").

I think there's some very interesting themes with Usopp in Syrup Village especially around racism and almost apartheid? And I think his relationship to Kaya tells an interesting story within that lens. But I want them both to grow into their own people, and if circumstances bring them back together, cool. And if not, also fine. The end point doesn't diminish what they meant to each other as young people finding companionship in their loneliness.

TLDR: I wouldn't say it's an active ship, but I think it has sweet applications. I like the idea that Usopp has had a close relationship before; it rounds him out. Ship for pre-ts, but don't really ship as much post-ts because my babies are both growing into full fledged adults on their own journeys and thats ok.

you know something we as a tg society don't talk about enough? how much Greg hates Shiv and how there's absolutely no reason for it besides her relationship with Tom (how she treats him or the fact that she's in a relationship with him in the first place). and you could say, "oh she's awful to him", but so is everyone else in the show (excluding Roman because they openly hate *each other* for some reason), and yet Greg doesn't seem to have this profound resentment towards anyone else does he. hmmmmn.

i can think of a reason ppl don’t talk about it lol they don’t wanna be decimated BUT. you are right! i mean after that alt poster was revealed, the one where greg is like half climbing over the table to where tom and shiv are, there’s like. multiple instances of him being portrayed as reaching for tom. he’s a little homewrecker!!! lmao. and like, that’s the shows doing, none of us came up with it. it was showing us itself that greg was gonna be a person who would drop into tom’s life and throw a wrench in it. like my opinion is that i don’t think ts would face the breaks it did if greg weren’t around, like.

to me, tom had the strength to stand up for himself and to not fold in america decides bc of greg. i’m not saying ts would never fight or he wouldn’t be miserable i’m just saying. the sequence of events and his feelings for greg absolutely influenced it all. greg doesn’t like her bc she hurts tom! and that’s his best friend! like, even taking out shipping, even if we look at it platonically [lol] greg is defensive of tom because they’re besties. i think many of us can relate, like. if our loved ones get hurt we get mad! we don’t like people who do that to them! so it can’t e denied that he would specifically dislike her because of tom. but it is definitely more Inch Resting considering all the factors between the three and i think there’s definitely jealousy/possessiveness/frustration involved lol.

One Piece ep. 1105

spoilers thoughts below

really liked the (I think) added details to where Saturn was staying on the ship. really emphasized his detachment from the everyday. (his status, if you will)

loving the mystery vibes in the sci-fi setting; I'm reminded why I enjoyed/am enjoying this arc so much

didn't remember Lilith getting so upset when S-Hawk attacked her (did that happen? I can't remember details that far back...)

still enjoying the animation a lot

I laughed at Brook being afraid of Stussy and later when he praised Franky on his energetic enthusiasm (I love you Brook)

it's also fun to watch knowing the answer to some of the mysteries and seeing how the anime is setting it up

generally, I had a lot of out loud responses to this ep, but a lot of it was just generally exclaiming or reacting. I can't precisely remember what it was all about. :P but I had fun watching it.

This ep did remind that, since I've been thinking about whether One Piece, post time-skip, is still a good story, I've enjoyed a lot of the post-TS arcs that aren't related to the Law-Alliance-Defeat-Kaido Saga. Though I enjoyed Wano, overall, and there were parts of Dressrosa I liked, I definitely think Whole Cake and so far, Egghead have been more enjoyable. And I attribute that to the focus being more on the Straw Hats, rather than Law and his plans (though the samurai in Wano were fine).

This isn't because I dislike the whole plot with Law but it went on. for. so. long. Anyway, I'm very happy to be in a new arc, even if it has been going on for what, a year or so now.

Also of note, I've noticed that flashbacks post-TS, except for Sanji so far, have focused more on non-Straw Hats, which is interesting but that's another topic unrelated to this post. That is all.

I'm unsure to get Unicorn Overlord since I like Fire Emblem but generally dislike other strategy RPG games (I didn't enjoy Triangle Strategy). Would you recommend it?

Oh boy... I'd want to say absolutely but I will try to describe pros and cons as best as I can without any spoilers first :D

First off, you have to know what makes you like FE as a game?

Second well, I too didn't really like Triangle Strategy even though I did my share of fan arts... okay I only drew Dragan a lot lol....

Gameplay

Overlord Unicorn uses gambit system (it was my first time hearing that!) so you don't move individual characters, you assign the characters into a unit and the whole fight is automatic (though it still has some rng involved.)

You assign skills and can tweak conditions to them, which can be a lot of fun if you are into min maxing or want to experiment and optimize. I did some tweaking and played on medium difficulty (?) and had no issues, if anything it started to feel too easy after a while.

It is real time movement and not like with how FE has turns. It can seem scary or maybe overwheling if you're not used to such systems. I adapted very, very fast. I didn't feel any weird difficult curves and everything flowed very nicely.

The menu may seem very overwhelming at first because it is very busy ...but after an hour or two of gameplay, the menu and the whole UI felt like some well designed work of art and became very intuitive.

Open world

Unlike FE, here you can roam and explore and do side quests and find treasures, restore areas you liberated... it has a lot of small activities which I loved to do between battles. So the game felt a lot more relaxing and fun to me because it wasn't just cutscene > battle > cutscene battle. You can tackle regions out of order and pretty much can go into the final battle right away if you really want to!

Story!

Hokaaay so... A lot of people do say TS had better story and I think yes, but UO felt way more satisfying to me. At the end of a game, I want to feel satisfied not conflicted or bittersweet or feel like "ah if only this or that happened". But if you are more into realistic outcomes and an idealistic finale doesn't vibe with you then you may cringe at some parts.... or you can of course just execute everyone you see if you rather do that!

You do get very basic beat bad guy, liberate area, reclaim your home kingdom so it's not anything over dramatic or gut punching. If you like a character, chances are you will recruit them. Nearly every enemy you bump at you end up recruiting (as long as you don't execute or jail) so at least no surprise your favorite died I guess? :D;;;;

I don't want to spoil but you do get some nifty lore and explanation on why bad guys do the bad things and while simple, I really enjoyed it.

The romance in the air! (or not)

Okay I will be a little blunt, that's not the kinda game for that xD;

It's heavily biased towards hetero couples and the male options are like none. Nearly all if not all of the female ones end up romantic and become Alain's queen. It's obvious what the target is here. Nothing that can stop the power of fanfiction or fan art though!

Other characters than Alain don't really get affected by the amount of rapport conversations so you don't really ship other characters like in FE games and their endings don't get affected by how much their rapport developed.

Personally, I saw the maiden ring as fancy status accessory and just slapped it on my favorite character and moved on. Lore wise, it is important and you do get 2 variations of the ending where your chosen maiden ring bearer plays a bigger role.

About the jiggly wigglies

I don't know how you feel about fan service but it sure has some of them jiggle mechanics on some female character! It's not too bad and it doesn't feel out of place given how...everything kinda jiggles. (the food especially!) so it didn't personally bother me but I know some people may side glance it so I thought to bring it up.

Final thoughts?

I am not sure... If you pick it with more open mind without trying to compare it to FE, I think you may enjoy it.

My final thoughts on UO is that I felt extremely valued as a player. Again, I try to avoid spoilers but I could see where they thought "lets add this" or "lets give that" to make the experience more fun/smooth/enjoyable. My perception is slightly wrapped as someone who has experience working in game development, I can tell when a dev team put thought and tested things and when a dev team just wanted to meet a deadline and publish something. This game is not the later.

I read it took 10 years to make this game and it kinda shows with the amount of polish it has. But I also don't want to set some extremely high expectations just because I had so much fun. xD;

IS for sure doesn't care about shipping but I'd like to think they're aware of some of the controversy surrounding the avatar pairings coming the west. Especially, considering the "Question of Conduct" dlc quest from 3H was for them poking fun at the people outraged by Byleth being able S support their students post-TS.

Oh they sure do care about that in fact it's because they DO take those critics into account they sometimes were accused of pandering to the Westerner side of the audience, but IS usually makes / pokes fun of controversy only when they think they are in the right.

Ephraim x Eirika rumors ? They were in their right since the JPN version had none of the rumored content.

Thraja's swimsuit and the skinship mentionned in Corrin's support ? Obviously, they were going to poke fun at it since japanese dislike censorship that's why Vander and Corrin's B support talks about that or that Thraja has curtains--I mean a cape in her summer alt. I mean it's not like the Tea parties in 3H and the summer alt proved them wrong.

And for Engage, well... the localization as been such a controversy that apparently they don't want Treehouse to localize the next main game. IDk if that is true so unless confirmation I'd take that info with grain of salt, but it would not surprise me at all if they ended up finding a way to poke fun of the "Alear's hair looks like toothpaste/Pepsi".

But they do take into account most of the criticism they receives concerning "moral concern" but they don't need to think about the Western side of the fandom, they already have limit they can't cross with their JPN audience

Fine Line was Sony's biggest-selling album for about 9 months. They were not thinking about Walls when they promoted it. Those two albums were not being mentioned in the same conversations.
