You’re the first half of the superhero duo HeartAche. heart for your heart rendering abilities & ache for the extreme headache that comes from your partner Hitoshi Shinsou’s brainwashing quirk. the two of you meet under the recommendation of pro hero EraserHead when he saw your stats trickling into the underground hero world. You'd been busy trying to get fully switched into the underground hero society since graduation and saw that you were recently invited to apply to UA as an assistant nurse for Recovery Girl. Aizawa thought your quirk was exactly what Eri needed in a mentor. Not to mention, if you really wanted to break into the underground hero world you had the perfect above-ground cover, especially with recovery girls impending retirement. Aizawa actually pushed for your hire. Something Principal Nezu has never seen him do in all his years. With the surprising interest from EraserHead noted in your interview you couldn’t say no to the stable and exciting position as a second nurse for the prestigious UA. During your first few months on hire as UA official staff Aizawa was busy working to move your stats into the underground. That’s were you met your new best friend and work-hubby Hitoshi Shinsou. You and Hitoshi hit it off immediately after a few long nights of stake-outs having connected over your reconciliation with your “villainous quirks.” Your shared affinity for loud music, food, and cats. Something shared with your boss EraserHead. You guys regularly do mission briefings and business meetings with your (now shared) mentor Shota Aizawa in a private room of a local cat-cafe. ——— you two primarily do heavy ops missions together. Frequently used to bust into large criminal organizations headquarters with the helpful info provided by the local hero-collaborations.

With Hitoshi’s combat skills and BrainWashing and your stealth skills and incapacitating abilities; taking apart giant organizations was a walk in the park. The two of you are also busy in the intel-gathering work and have become stake-out buddies. Fortunately, coffee is a dismissible company expense in your line of work. A small perk of working underground, especially with Aizawa who regularly keeps the agency building supplied. Furthermore, you routinely did work alongside of Present Mic, Invisible Girl, and Hawks in order to infiltrate these organizations. Including some minor spy work! Who knew Japans favorite DJ was a highly skilled spy back when he first started?! Like Present-Mic you have an above-ground identity as a beloved rescue hero and UA nurse. You’ve been dubbed as the Japanese Sweetheart since your surprise debut in a motor-vehicle accident and you’ve actually made the chance to have that as your official hero-name. it DOES give you an overwhelming sense of satisfaction when villains call you “sweetheart” and you response with “yeah that’s me.” Before absolutely demolishing them with your quirk. ———

the agency itself is entirely too chaotic and entirely too sleep-deprived. It’s a bright a flashy building in Present Mic’s aesthetic sensibilities, so an eyesore to his husband EraserHead. But, Present Mics cover up-top is important for EraserHead and everyone else working below.

it’s incredibly chaotic to be working underneath two married proheros and teachers, but somehow they make it work together for the two agencies. there’s a plethora of top-notch employees that work to keep everything under wraps, so paperwork isn’t a regular issue when working there . . . but teacher paperwork is something that you do see frequently being done . . . you sometimes grab a stack and join them. —— Upstairs has a full recording and production studio for the bands. As well as multiple offices for all the loudly dressed employees. Meanwhile downstairs the basement is mostly purple. The entire building got a repaint in the last year colors curtesy of Eri, so upstairs is yellow and pink while downstairs is black, white, and purple themed. Both levels have an impressive coffee and tea bar for all employees to use. The one time they ran out of coffee grounds was a double-agency crisis! Additionally, both levels have since gained a family of rescued stray cats that live as official agency office cats. Everybody loves them. The coffee supplier and cat food supplier are extremely loyal friends of the agency and love to chat to the people and hang with the cats. so the entire building is full of comfy couches and sofas as well as a few of those giantic cat trees. They have a few different themes set around the agencies: flowers, rocket ships, sailor moon, and the giant enchanted cat tree. Yes, these themes were a EraserMic family consensus.

the “Mega Tree” as its enthusiastically referred to is located on the main floor in the upstairs lounge area which is right by the hallway to the elevator, so people working for Aizawa often show up to work a few minutes late: a completely understandable reaction. ——— EraserHeads agency basement is soundproofed from all the DJ-ing above. The offices for himself, yourself, and Hitoshi all include your desk set-up, a large couch, and small attached bathroom. Which is Incredibly important to spruce up after long periods of nocturnal workings. although you and Shinsou also have a gifted giant yellow sleeping bag that remains shoved into your stake-out duffels. And Every One of you keeps your office well stocked with your own blankets and pillows for when leaving the office is too much a hassle or nearly impossible. And everyone’s drawers house earplugs and sleeping masks, even sound proof isn’t enough for Present Mics voice. not to mention that they regularly restock the bathrooms with hygiene supplies. —— yours and Hiroshis offices are across the hall from each other that lead to Erasers at the end of the hallway. And yours is the only one set properly for online meetings or with a mini fridge. A vital part of your quirk is replenishing energy through food. so it’s very often that these two barge into your office to raid your mini fridge while you’re on a meeting. because of this mini fridge, your attention to interior design, and your status as teacher/mentor/big sister yours is Eri-Chans favorite office, so your door is almost always open! you always have one of her favorite snacks: apple crisps; located in your snack drawer as well as a few apple juices in the fridge. And it’s much more pleasant to sip on juice while looking at your big fake candied sweetheart’s wall background, your scattered collection of framed photos and hero headlines, your pretty diffuser, and your slightly nibbled office plant and grow light. Because Hitoshi’s walls are just covered by dozens of cheesy cat posters. AND he keeps a litter box in the corner to corral the cats into his office more often. TOTALLY THE WRONG VIBE You two are surprised how he manages to be productive in there. —— So, she loves to come over and help you do some of the lighter hero duties such as organizing thank-you mail, fan mail, as well as the all important hero event invitations you receive.

With your above ground presence you definitely receive more than her brother and dad, although her papa also receives quite a bit. You and him share the same panicked grins every Monday in the mail-room, but luckily they don’t mind her coming around after school to help you. the other days of the week she bebop’s around the agencies building doing homework and hero training before going home. her own application to officially apply to UA as a student is approaching within the next few years, so everyone on the agency dotes on her improvement. Other than mail Eri loves to help you shop for gala and charity event outfits. It’s such a fun girls-time activity for her. I mean Hitoshi and Yamada have style, but it’s not the same as taking an afternoon to try on all the gorgeous glittering women’s gala outfits. plus her opinion is invaluable. furthermore, she adores sharing in your heart-themed obsession. Often helping you scout out more heart sweaters and fluffy jackets when you’re out. yes, you have a matching pair of heart sweaters! Hitoshi thinks he’s seeing double when he comes back from a mission and sees the two of you flitting around the coffee bar with a hoarde of giant shopping bags. he quickly decides he needs a nap.

——— overall being the Japanese Sweetheart and part of power duo Heartache is a pretty sweet job. you’ve met a lot of people and made a lot of friends. Everyday is a completely new chaotic adventure and you wish that Aizawas students would stop breaking themselves so much!

fic idea I'll never write because it has too many fight scenes and I'm bad at those soooooo

quirkless Izuku Midoriya in the support class, approaching every hero student before the sports festival, offering his skills as a quirk analyst to help them prepare, starting everyone off with a free sample of advice to entice them into the deal

with a caveat

he is going to be fighting in the sports festival too, so if they agree to let him coach them, they will be giving him a leg up on them as he will know all their strengths and weaknesses, but coaching them in private means that none of the other students will be aware of their new moves

his talent as an analyst and strategist are already well known at the school, to the point that teachers sometimes even consult him, and he takes tea with Nedzu twice a week, he's scary smart

but he's quirkless,

the hero students think giving him an advantage is just going to even the playing field right? it's only fair to give him a fighting chance, some students agree just for that reason alone, he's so passionate, it would be such a shame to see him crash and burn right at the start

they mean well, they truly do

there are only two and half hero students who don't take him up on his offer

one being Bakugo, because Midoriya knew better than to even bother offering, partly due to his pride and ego, partly because Midoriya was already extremely familiar with Bakugo's quirk, but also because Bakugo knows damn well it's a fool's deal and he's already told off everyone in his class for being dumb enough to accept it

one being Monoma, who took one look at the situation at hand and laughed in Midoriya's face, surprisingly this wasn't due to any amount of pride, quite the opposite, Monoma did not underestimate him for being quirkless, as someone who had to spend half his time fighting quirkless himself he was well aware that Midoriya was just as much a threat as everyone else and Monoma would treat him as such

the half being Todoroki, who in the process of taking Midoriya's advice on how to exert more fine control over his ice, and then realising he's doing the same for almost every other student in his class, realised exactly how much of a threat this quirkless boy actually imposed, and then realised that if he wanted to have any chance of taking him unawares he might be forced to use his fire, as it's the only part of his quirk Midoriya had absolutely zero knowledge of, in fact it was one of the few quirks left in the whole hero course that Midoriya had no knowledge of

at the sports festival Midoriya shows up carrying several cases of support gear, he's been cleared by the teachers to be allowed one support item in each match on the condition that it was made by a support student in his yeargroup and that he was at least somewhat involved in its design and creation (powerloader was in charge of observing this process to ensure he met the guidelines and grew a few new grey hairs because of course their most terrifying analyst teamed up with his most terrifying engineer)

Midoriya chooses not to use any of his support gear in the team challenges, he wants to show that he belongs here on his own merits, to prove that he can make it using nothing but his own hard work and ingenuity

it's the one on one fights he utilises his support gear

Midoriya calculated which students were most likely to make it into the 1v1 rounds and prepared a customised support item to fight each of them, taking full advantage of every weakness he'd unearthed during his coaching sessions

he doesn't use any gear in his fight with Shinsou however, he wasn't from the hero course so Midoriya didn't offer to train him (Shinsou had as much to prove as Midoriya did and he had no intentions of getting in the way of that, and Shinsou would have turned him down regardless) but he had a vague enough idea of what his quirk was so their fight would essentially be nothing more than a quirkless brawl

it's a close call but where Shinsou's attention was split between fighting and trying to get a reaction from his shit talking, Midoriya was focused 100% on nothing but the fight, despite it being easy low hanging fruit Shinsou never uses Midoriya's quirklessness to bait him into responding, not wanting to stoop that low

his fight with Todoroki is intense, but with heat based support gear he's able to get through Todoroki's defences

Midoriya didn't get the Todoroki Family Traumadump in this universe so instead of a 'your quirk not his' speech we get a 'don't hold back on me they will jump at any opportunity to blame my success on someone else because I'm quirkless, I want everyone to know I won because I worked the hardest for it' speech

Todoroki ends up backed into a corner and forced to use his fire, unfortunately for him Midoriya was not only prepared to go up against his fire, he also built an entire strategy around Todoroki's poor control over it, it's close but in the end he's able to manoeuvre Todoroki out of bounds by using the fire to obscure the boundary line, and he wins the fight

Midoriya ends up facing Bakugo in the final round, to start with Bakugo is absolutely fuming at the fact that Midoriya made it this far, he is even extra pissed off when Midoriya states the only support gear he'll be using in this fight is leg gear to help him manoeuvre around, not even using an offensive weapon

Midoriya uses every little piece of knowledge he has on Bakugo to predict his movements and attacks, but Bakugo had been training privately specifically to avoid Midoriya seeing his progress (as much as he shit talked Midoriya for being quirkless he knew damn well that he was a genuine threat, even if he wouldn't admit it), but Bakugo had never seen Midoriya fight before today, with no edge over him strategically other than what he had learned from watching the previous fights, which helped little due to Midoriya's fighting style shifting with each opponent

it's a brutal, long drawn out battle, but Midoriya's close familiarity with Bakugo's quirk gives him an advantage Bakugo just can't catch up with, Midoriya mostly uses Bakugo's own quirk against him, eventually baiting him into pulling off a bigger than necessary blast with enough kickback to throw him in the air and then takes advantage of the uncontrolled momentum to throw him out of bounds, taking a risk and falling close to losing his own footing on the boundary line in the process

Midoriya wins the sports festival by a hair, securing a future seat into the hero course

Bakugo is actually really humbled by the experience, he has to go through a whole process of rebooting his brain to figure out how to feel about the whole thing, he wants to be pissed off but Midoriya had fought him with every ounce of strength and tenacity he had, it was more of a challenge than any of his own classmates had given him, he'd done everything in his power to beat this kid down their whole lives and instead Midoriya had taken that and turned it into fuel to prove him and everyone else wrong

Bakugo stops calling him Deku after that, saying the name just doesn't suit him anymore, Midoriya says that it never suited him, but it's nice that Bakugo is finally catching on

when Midoriya is eventually moved into the class, a couple of the students are a little pissed about the underhanded way he went about the whole thing, feeling as though he had kinda misled them and taken advantage of them trying to be nice to him by giving him an extra edge in the competition

Midoriya points out that he had been very transparent from the start, and that if they had taken him seriously and respected him as an opponent then they never would have taken his deal in the first place, he wasn't taking advantage of their kindness, he was taking advantage of their quirk bias

Aizawa backs Midoriya up by stating that Midoriya had actually cleared this strategy with the teachers to ensure it wasn't breaking any rules, and he was exceptionally disappointed that a majority of his class had fallen for the bait, and that they should take this as a lesson in not underestimating their opponents regardless of their quirks

Midoriya and Bakugo end up working together for more cohesively and make a terrifying duo, eventually even going with matching themed hero names Arsenall and Dynamight (lifting DIRECTLY from this tiktok because it's absolutely fucking genius, except in this universe the name is in reference to the vast variety of support gear he uses rather than the multiple quirks he has)

anyway I made this whole thing as a side effect of an idea where canon Midoriya gets hit by a quirk that pulls alternate timeline versions of himself into his world and Arsenall was one of them, there was also a guerilla journalist/vigilante Midoriya called Rabbit who I might also make a post of because I actually had the outline of an entire fic about him mentally noted down at one point so he is way more fleshed out

the other two versions didn't have super fleshed out stories but mostly because one was just quirkless Midoriya if he joined the support class but didn't enter the sports festival, and the other was villain Midoriya who is already basically an existing fanon character so I didn't feel the need to flesh him out so much

😅so. I did end up drawing some of the soulmate glimpses that were in midoriyas route and u know I had to draw the multi dimensional bf FIRST. I feel guilty after putting him through 8 routes of pining so he gets special privileges lolol( I will reread ur route soon shinsou I PROMISEEEEE💔💔💔). Talked about how he breaks my heart every time he shows up last ask so I will spare u the details on it this time. But omg (proceeds to not spare any details) .. the guilt I feel knowing he feels the EXACT . SAME . WAY . EVERY ROUTE makes his presence in the fic like the stereotypical dead wife that appears at the beginning of the movie that the main character spends the entire film trying to heal and move on so they can get with the love interest. He really is like The Boyfriend TM.

shinkami: shinsou is similar to suga in that he asks a lot of questions, which is to be expected i guess. he's less about uncontrolled sounds and more about steady and even and intentional sounds. if you hear something from him, it was probably on purpose. he doesn't often sound flustered or taken by surprise or anything other than steady. kami is the exact opposite al;dfksjf he is a whiner through and through!! even if he's not being teased, he's literally still whining. it's actually so hot.......... don't perceive me about it. he pants, he whines, he whimpers, he curses, but he can never string together a sentence. all his brain cells move to his cock, which is not all that surprising

The thing about nhthcth is that it's going to be very bad for a very long time and then it's going to all get resolved one way or another, for better or for worse. I don't want to say anything about how that ending is going to go, so I'm going to keep it vague.

I'd probably do a sequel with a drastically different tone. Now, it's all plot and serious dark stuff. I'd probably do something really fluffy as a sequel. Bucky Barnes Designated Driver AU, wherein Matt Murdock makes so many wrong decisions they round around to the right decision. Daredevil helps out the Winter Soldier, offers him a safe place, and the sheer dumbfuckery this asshole is capable of starts tearing through years of hydra brainwashing and leaves bucky barnes as the only one with sense stuck with the entire new york vigilante population. featuring a half feral peter parker, a may who has been convicted of felony arson and only regrets getting caught, a long-suffering foggy nelson, a terrifying Karen page, and a bucky barnes who cannot believe how fucking stupid these assholes are.

this isn't a fandom I've put anything out for before but I have this elaborate Fake Dating AU between All Might and Inko from My Hero Academia, except instead of Fake Dating it's fake bitter exes. Problems at the entrance exam results in Izuku's parent being called, only he doesn't want this to be how his mom finds out he has a quirk so he calls all might to get him instead. only. they already called his mom. And he called his “dad.” And everyone just sort of decides to roll with it to cover up OFA. So everyone thinks inko and all might had a reallllllllllyyyy messy divorce and are trying to hold it together for their son, that they had together. featuring an exhausted aizawa, an enthusiastic and earnest iida, and a shinsou who has learned entirely too much about the symbol of peace’s home life.

Q: Do you have any discarded scenes/storylines/projects?

also so many. there's a lot of stories that I love but that I’m pretty sure I’ll never write, and a lot of stories where I ended up changing the shape of the story and losing some of what I had. In nhthcth, there was originally a storyline involving Naomi herne and Evan Lukas. I ended up trashing it because it mostly served to bring in another character, and I could do that in a much easier and more direct way. Danny’s story is actually the opposite—he had a much smaller role, and then he ended up getting developed and becoming a central character. I ended up trashing Mike crews original role in the story as a result and rewriting it entirely.

Jon and Gerry made me so sad in nhthcth that I actually have like? 90ish pages? Of a fanfic of like, my own fanfic, where Elias didn’t do his due diligence and bind Jon young and they actually escaped. Agnes Montague was there, and aged down for the sake of the story. In my head, it was called the Gerry Keay Home for Disillusioned Child Messiahs. Fun story, but I’ve ultimately discarded it.

There’s a lot of stories that are just too long for me to commit to writing, so theyre effectively discarded. I had this one Jon Sims/Danny Stoker dated in uni story (based on another tumblr post, I have no idea where that is though, I’ll go back and edit this with credit if I find it again) that was so sad that my friend went into the groupchat to tattle on me for making her sad when I was telling her about it. I wrote like? Twelve pages of it? Then I got distracted with something else. But I love it still.
