How to Shift: Simplified
This is is what I did the time when I was closer to shifting (I'm currently in a break, since like a week after that attempt), and it's also how many people shift.
It's actually pretty simple. I'm going to explain it in steps to make it even easier to understand, although it's not supposed to be a step by step method.
LAY DOWN AND RELAX: Breath deeply, meditate, count your heartbeats... do whatever it works for you. take a few minutes, till your mind is as calm as possible.
IMAGINE: Start imagining the exact place where you'll wake up. It's not necessary to visualise, I personally don't do it. I just imagine everything in first person as I were there. If you feel like it, try adding more and more details, like the breathing of your roomies, the texture of your clothes, etc. However, this is optional.
THINK AS YOUR DR SELF: What are you doing tomorrow? What's that thing you can't forget to do? Do you have to finish your homework? Think in first person, as you were you other self. Daily basic things. Think what s normal person would think before going to sleep.
ENJOY BEING THERE IN IMAGINATION: Once you've imagined it, you're there. So, go on, enjoy it.
That's basically all. It's not a method. You don't have to do it in order. You don't have to remember the steps. Do it naturally, enjoy the process. Do what you feel like to do.
I'm going to tell you the KEY to this.
FORGET YOU'RE TRYING TO SHIFT. Focus on the 4d (imagination) to the point you don't remember you're not there, but attempting to shift there.
And remember, it's not a step by step method (it's like the fourth time i say it i know), but more of a "do what you feel" method. So do it in the order you like the most. If you rather first start thinking as your DR self, do it. If you rather mix imaginacion and thoughts, you're free to do it. The important thing, is that you feel there, and forget you are (not) there, but you are attempting to shift to that place.

the doubt method
this is a shifting method for the doubters out there. the ones who try to affirm or act as if they’re in their dr yet they contradict themselves by thinking that they’re still in their cr and feel bad about it.
what you have to do is choose two of your drs. the first one (dr 1) is the reality where you’re planning to go, the second one (dr 2) is a reality that you simply like but it’s not your priority.
start affirming of being in your dr 2, but then contradict yourself by saying sentences like “ugh i just know thats not true because i’m actually still in dr 1, that’s so annoying, i really want to be in my dr 2 yet i’m still in dr 1, why??” you basically have to rant about it.
this is similar to when you go against your affirmation out of doubts like “no i’m still in my cr :((“ so you would use this to your advantage and instead go “no i’m still in my dr 1 :((“.
try this and see yourself shift.
edit: someone on tiktok informed me that there’s a similar method so make sure you check that one too, it’s called the nowehere method.

・゚゚・。Dolly's sleep paralysis method for shifting
🌟 You heard that right. This is a method I'm sure someone else has thought of already, but I'm putting it into words for you guys.
Now, this method is weird and can even be scary to some. I recommend it to those who have gotten SP before or just aren't afraid of anything. But anyone can do it, really!
This is my favorite method, I've been able to shift multiple times with it. My little brother also uses it to lucid dream :)
1. How does it work?
It's very simple. Have you ever tried shifting through a lucid dream, only to end up waking up in your cr bed, not being able to move? You might even see or hear things, what some people call "Sleep paralysis demon"
Now, here's the thing: sp demons don't exist.
🗣️-"But Dolly, why do I see, feel and hear things when I'm in sleep paralysis? It freaks me out!"
🐇- Sleep paralysis is a state, during waking up or falling asleep, in which a person is conscious but in a complete state of full-body paralysis. During an episode, the person may hallucinate, which often results in fear.
It happens when you pass between stages of wakefulness and sleep.
(If you're interested in the science behind it)
During REM sleep the body enters a state of temporary paralysis called muscle atonia. This state is likely a mechanism to prevent sleepers from injuring themselves by acting out their dreams. That's why you can't move!
Many experts believe that hallucinations during sleep paralysis occur when people experience the vivid dreams of REM sleep while they are awake.
So, don't worry about this so-called demon. It can't hurt you. Its just your half-asleep brain!
PRO TIP: When you find yourself in SP, don't open your eyes. Just relax, and remind yourself it's just your body being half asleep. If you have scary thoughts, shake them off. Sleep paralysis can even be fun if you learn how harmless it is.
2. And how can you shift with it?
Because SP is a state of half-sleepiness, it's the perfect time to manipulate your consciousness into being somewhere else.
I'll separate this method in two parts:
1.How to get sleep paralysis?
I've always gotten SP when my sleep is disrupted. That is, if I go to sleep at my usual time, like 10pm, and put an alarm to wake up at 2am (3-4 hours after falling asleep is perfect), and stay awake for a few hours, then fall back asleep, my brain will be all like: whaaaat?
My little brother also uses this method to lucid dream, and it always works for him. So, in steps:
Go to sleep when you're comfortable. Put an alarm to wake up 3-4 hours after falling asleep.
Wake up with that alarm, and now chill! Go to the bathroom, watch some youtube videos, read a book, wake yourself up, and wait until you're sleepy again. This usually takes me 2-4 hours awake. It's best to do it in weekends, please don't do this on school nights 😭
Fall back asleep. This might be hard, but just spend some time in the darkness, daydream about your dr, just relax and let your body slowly fall asleep.
You might wake up paralysed. That means it worked! (Scroll down a bit to see what you do at this point)
There are other methods to get sleep paralysis. This is just my personal favourite, but everybody is different!
2. I'm in sleep paralysis! Now what?
Now, just relax. Calm your mind, remind yourself: this is just my brain half-asleep.
Keep your eyes closed. Take your time to affirmate. My personal favourite is "I am shifting" because it's easy to remember.
Try to visualise your desired reality. Imagine you're already there. Because you are.
You might feel really strong symptoms, but I personally find them fun.
If you're very scared, don't worry. You can always wake up from SP. Just try moving a bit, and after a few seconds, you should be back to normal.

shifing method i saw on tiktok
Credits to Reya, idk her @ but we all know who she is. Im p sure the method wasn't her idea either but I could be lying, but its where I found it (on tiktok) Now, going on. The method was her imagining going up to her dr self and telling her, "I am you." Nothing like 'we are the same person, you're my doctor self,' no, just "I am you." Apparently, she was surprised because , by being commanding and affirming that way, she shifted with that method after just three minutes of focusing. I tried it and, due to some factors I couldn't focus for more than a minute (my fault), but already heard my dr IN A MINUTE. that's CRAZY. The universe is really ours.

i shifted and i’m not freaking out like i thought i would😭
ok so i was meditating last night (with the intention to shift/manifest), i was saying my “i am” affirmations and then i just heard my dog start barking like either in my room or right outside, so i was like “uhhh she’s not supposed to be in my room or outside, she’s sleeping..” then it stopped so abruptly after i said that like😭??? then i heard my name being called and i was like nuh uh uh, so that stopped too ! and i started seeing my dr room so i was like errr i don’t wanna be in my dr room then it changed into a classroom, i had on uniform (japan’s typical summer uniform, white shirt and blue skirt) and i was twirling my pen while looking out the window, the sun seemed to be just rising and i don’t think the teacher was there yet but then i was like nvm and came back (here), i assume that can easily replicated!! im very surprised, i shifted and i wasn’t even scared like i usually am, i’ll definitely be further prepared tonight!!!!!!!

All of Kelpie's possibly controversial shifting opinions and why shifting isn't "working" for you
I've been in the shifting community for almost four to five years now (it's insane), and I feel this makes me qualified enough to share a few shifting-centered opinions I've formed over the years. In no way, shape, or form am I saying you have to agree with these, nor does it matter to me if you don't. I hope you can agree with at least a handful of them, though.
Firstly, shifting without effort is much harder than shifting with effort. I'm not saying shifting without effort is impossible—this would be contradictory, since the times I have shifted were either low effort or accidental—but what I am saying is that putting in extra effort makes seeing results so much more likely. I can count on my hands and toes the number of times I’ve genuinely laid down and attempted to shift since I found out about shifting. For the past four-ish years, lying down and doing the "intention" method has gotten me three or four mini-shifts and one full shift. I bet that if I had taken the time to put all my energy and thought into actually shifting, I could have reached the hundreds by now. So, if you've been doing the same thing for years, there's a good chance that’s why shifting isn’t "working" for you. To sum up this point: If you want results and want them consistently, put in the effort. If you’re okay with your results being irregular and inconsistent, that’s fine too.
This is a very hot take within the shifting community, but I don’t like the idea of getting rid of the label "mini-shifts." This is for two reasons: the whole "you’re always shifting" mindset and the usefulness of the term itself. The idea that there’s no such thing as a mini-shift constantly comes up when I discuss my shifting experiences, but the term "mini-shift" is extremely helpful in describing the differences between my shifts to my DRs. Yes, a mini-shift is still a shift, but keeping the term helps distinguish between the two because they are super different experiences. The term simply refers to the shift itself being a miniature event and is strictly about the time spent there.
This is often paired with the "you’re always shifting" mindset, which I don’t agree with. If you’re using this phrase to mean "every attempt shifts you to a reality where you’re closer," then yes, a hundred percent. However, I don’t believe in the idea that going to a store and choosing an apple over an orange means you’ve shifted to the "apple reality" instead of the reality where you chose an orange. I understand where this concept is supposed to lead, but it’s not something I believe in. If you do, though, that’s okay.
Now, onto race changing. Even if I tried from the depths of my soul—reached all the way down and rearranged stuff—I could not find a single care to give about this subject (same with age changing, but I’ll get to that later). As a WOC, I do not care what race you are in your desired reality. End of story. It doesn’t affect me if you change your race in your DR, and I don’t have the energy to tell you that you shouldn’t. At the end of the day, no one from this reality is in that reality with you. Am I Black here? Yes. Will I remain Black here? Yes. Is there a reality where I’m not? Probably. Will I go there? No. But that’s just because I wouldn’t feel comfortable changing my race in my DR. This isn’t to say I’m pro-race changing or anything, but if that’s what you want to do in a reality I have no access to, go nuts, buddy.
Now, age changing. I do not care if someone ages themselves up. If you’re aging yourself up from 14 to 29, go ahead. I’m not your mother, and everything you do in your desired reality is your decision to make. On the flip side, if you’re aging yourself down from, say, 31 to 17 to be in your favorite show as a teenager, like The Vampire Diaries, this seems to be the more controversial aspect within the shifting community. In my humble opinion, it really shouldn’t be. You can be any age you want in YOUR reality. It’s a hundred percent up to you to decide how you customize your avatar in your DR.
Lastly, "gatekeeping" S/Os. It is a hundred percent okay to feel jealous when someone is also shifting for your significant other. Personally, I hate when people are shifting for one of my boyfriends, so when I see content like that, the creator is swiftly blocked. I don’t understand why this became such a giant argument within different shifting communities, especially shifting Discords. You do not have to interact with people you don’t want to. So, if someone is shifting for your partner, BLOCK THEM. On the other hand, going onto someone’s page and commenting or messaging them that they are "your partner" is weird and extremely embarrassing.

Connecting to your DR
idea for connecting to your DR better. i think this has been done before, but i can’t remember.
so, write a letter to your DR self. ask all the things you’re curious about. ask what it’s like. what you’re like there. what memories you’ve had there. all that. do that BEFORE you go to shift.
then, go shift. do whatever you do to do that: methods, affirmations, loa, intention, etc.
even if you don’t shift, when you’ve finished your shifting attempt, write a letter back to your CR self from your DR self’s POV. write a letter back AS IF you’ve already shifted and now hold all that knowledge.

My biggest shifting advice pt.2
If you attempt to shift before going to sleep at night and when you open your eyes, you still wake up here, read this.
Your brain has habits. So when you go to bed at night, even though you intend to wake up in your DR, you always wake up here. Why? because of your habits. Your mind is extremely used to go to bed and sleep and then wake up here, that is almost impossible to change that habit. What do you have to do then?
During the day, lay down, relax and do whatever you want to shift. intend to wake up in your Dr. Make a new habit, and you will shift.

(kind of a method, but i hate the term now)
okay so who said that the universe or the gods can’t shift you? didn’t we say that realities are infinite therefore infinite possibilities exist? then why are we, again, limiting ourselves? now i’m pissed so you’re gonna hear me out.
assumptions create reality. therefore let’s say you’re hellenic pagan and you worship the god Hermes, then he sure as hell can shift you to your desired reality. why? because you believed so. because you ASSUMED he would shift you. he is a god who travels between realms therefore it should be easy to shift a mortal, no?
so if you struggle with self confidence you can still rely on the gods or the universe itself (which are still both part of you). give an offering and ask them with respect to shift you to your dr. and then just TRUST THEM.

I want to give a shout out to all the shifters who don’t believe in the mainstream view of shifting, or law of assumption. To shifters who are religious, who believe in destiny or divine timing. Who don’t believe we’re all-powerful gods with all the answers. It’s okay to be uncertain. It’s okay to have beliefs that don’t align with ShiftTok or Shiftblr.
At the end of the day, nobody has the one way to shift. Your journey is no less valid, and you can still shift. ♥️♥️

New shifting/manifestation method?
Ok so idk if anyone's gonna see this but I just feel like I should share my last shitfting attempt where I went into the void state super fast and easily bc I feel like this could maybe be helpful for people. Both for shifting and just manifesting.
So in this attempt I had woken up but not really yk, I was still in that sorta half asleep state which was really good because it made my mind super susceptible to whatever affirmations I wanted.
Basically the method I did is inspired by something I saw on tiktok recently about using a "now or never" mindset which will trick your mind into thinking you HAVE to shift/go in the void state which will make it happen much easier. So I imagined myself jumping off a really tall building where I'd die if I reached the ground (obviously lol) and sorta just yelled at myself in my head stuff like "I have to be in the void state right now" and just like forcefully affirmed "I am in the void state I am in the void state" and basically convinced myself I would die if I didn't go into the void state right now. And dudes I kid you not I literally went into the void state within SECONDS it was fuckin CRAZY.
I think the key is to not actually give yourself that much time like you have to convince yourself that you have to do it within the next few seconds. This is also why I think you should try this when you're reeaaaally tired and/or sorta half asleep so before bed or right after waking up because then your able to actually convince your mind easily while its susceptible.
Ok so here are steps if ppl wanna try this:
1. Start when you're mind is really tired or half asleep so before bed, after waking up, or during a nap.
2. Before doing anything I think it's good to set the intention of what you want to do e.g. mine was "I'm going to go into the void state and successfully shift to my desired reality".
3. Make up a scenario where you are going to die within seconds (scary ik but trust me). For me I think scenarios where you are falling are the best. And you gotta really immerse yourself in this scenario so sorry to people who can't visualize 😭.
4. Aggressively affirm to yourself that you HAVE to shift or go into the void state right now like its urgent or you'll die.
And yea that's about it. It's like 3 steps and super quick so it doesn't hurt to atleast give it a try. I wanna see if this can work for other people or just me because I have a unique relationship with sleep.
Also no I didn't get to my DR sadly as I got a little scared lol, but I did get into the void state which as you know makes it a lot easier to shift. Sorry if this was kinda rambly this is my first ever post.
