I think I just figured out what flavor of Asexual I am,

I understand that some other asexuals are sex repulsed or simply not interested in reading equal content. I read those types of things, and it always made me feel a bit weird whenever thinking harder about it. But learning that your specific branch of identity has a label and shared experience beyond the umbrella term of asexualtiy is new to me.

Aegosexual is quite the name, but I think it fits.

Aegosexual classifies people who experience a disconnect between themselves and the subject of arousal. This enables them to experience sexual attraction, arousal, and desire in response to sexual stimuli, yet they have little or no desire to engage in sexual activity with anyone.

something that took me so long to realize

when i didnt like a girl character with guy characters and then going 'clearly we dont need that' my response was originally getting the Aromantic definiton and going 'YEAH THATS MY GIRLS!!! AROMANTIC!' me now: no.... no theyre just lesbians.

So, my laptop is covered with stickers, as it tends to happen. And some of them have the ace flag because yes. Which causes some very interesting interactions.

At first it felt like a mistake since: sure, I was a cool kid at college but if I had to get my pc out while at an aunt's or other family members' house it felt like having a target 🎯 that allowed people to either pry into my life or be homophobic.

But then I realized old people in my family aren't that nosy nor do they immediately recognize horizontal lines as flags so I've been fine.

However, whenever my queer cousin shows up I panic because despite him being gay I can imagine him being acephobic.

So anyway, the lessons is:

That I should have fun decorating my laptop because at the end of the day if someone wants to be homophobic they will, regardless of anything.

Aroace Lesbian Maya actually means so much to me. She likes food and pretty girls in that order. She's totally had conversations with Phoenix before about their shared love of women. I think she's romance indifferent but has entertained the idea of dating other girls before. The thought of herself kissing a guy on the lips makes her physically ill but she would kiss her girl friends without a second thought if they asked her. She kind of floats in between feeling more like a lesbian or more aroace and then just decides, fuck it, she's both
