Friendly reminder that Doctor John Watson had no one. He returned from the war ill and newly disabled. He had nowhere to turn at his most vunerable moments and drifted without purpose within his new, alien life.

Friendly reminder that Sherlock Holmes had no one. He was different, no one understood him. He had been battling addiction alone for years. His only chance at survival in a world he was ill-suited for was to carve out his own niche.

Friendly reminder that they met each other when each of them desperatly needed someone. Friendly reminder that Holmes was instantly open with Watson, and Watson was instantly smitten. Friendly reminder that Holmes provided Watson with a mystery, a distraction that Watson desperatly needed. Friendly reminder that Watson showered Holmes in praise when he was so unused to it. Friendly reminder that Holmes let Watson write about his life, and Watson helped him through crippling drug addiction.

They're both broken men who begin to heal in the presence of each other. They built their lives around each other, encouraged each other, comforted each other. If they hadn't met, their lives would have been worse for it.

#sherlock #it might be the cough medicine but I'm really feeling the bbc sherlock wedding episode today #a good feeling ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡#like finding an old block of cheese in the back of the fridge you forgot about and its gotten super hard and chewy #i currently have half a block of gouda curating in the vegetable cupboard #waiting #how are you doing friends!! *unhinged chuckle intensifies* misic taste?!?! The only thing even remotely similar to recognizable music taste is the fact that I like celtic women! When it comes to anything else it's either a song from a show I like, a cover on the music of a gamme I like, or something I stumbled upon completely on accident and just decided to take home with me like a lost kitten that then proceeds to take permanent residence in my house! 🤣🤣🤣

Uhhhhh..... i think I've heard of MBTI? No, i'm sure I've heard of them. I just have no idea of what or where¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Look, there's a permanently ongoing music (playful) feud in my house. Om mom's side, melomaniacs. my sister mother aunt and i have names taken from operas and my sister had learned the lyrics of verdi's "va pensiero" when she was freaking three!!!. On dad's side, soft 60' or 80' rock, mostly italian.
