Anyways you’ve poked me so I’m going to talk about it now. Sorry not sorry.

Before I say anything: “Moth, Tinker, don’t like, all your characters live in galar?” Yes! Because when you’re making an au for Pokémon why make a region out of scratch, when Game Freak’s left a perfectly good blank slate for you right there?

Anyways with that out of the way, I’m putting this under a cut because this is going to be long.

Sword and shield are such disappointing games. You could say a million things about it— the graphics, the routes, the nat dex cut, so on and so forth, but that’s a long dead horse and im not going to start beating it.

I like Sw/Sh’s story. Or, more accurately I like the idea of the story that the games tried and failed to give us. I really want to say there’s something there to grasp at, but honestly? There’s not. Nothing burger ass game.

The plot up until the climax of the story is “The darkest day was a thing and there was a hero that stopped it. Bede’s mean and wants wishing stars. Wait, what?! There’s two heroes? And badass dogs? No way!”

It genuinely feels like they had a full story arc with plot beats written out, but had to scratch everything besides the climax and try to fill in the gaping plot holes as quickly as they could before they hit the deadline for release. It’s so jarring and bizarre when you reach the climax of the story, because it’s just… out of nowhere? You and Hop try to break into the Macro Cosmos tower to interrupt Leon’s meeting because he was… late for dinner? And Oleana hears this and starts acting like an unhinged evil antagonist out of nowhere, even though at the moment not letting you in is just, perfectly logical?

And then the whole hide and seek game she does for the keys— Team Yell joining in, none of this feels deserved at all, probably because there was, I don’t know, supposed to be things happening before this that properly built up to it?

It’s so frustrating, because if they had even executed the story at all, it would’ve been so cool. The guy who practically MADE galar is re-awakening what is basically an eldritch god in a misguided attempt to save the region from future disaster (trauma? Paranoia? All of the above?) but his plan backfires and nearly destroys everything instead??? It’s such a cool idea! And it’s just. Barely even executed at all.

Oleana and Rose both could’ve been such interesting characters. Their Pokémon teams are symbolic of themselves as people, for crying out loud! Imagine how cool those fights, especially Oleana’s, could’ve been if there had been a proper fucking storyline??

(I won’t go too in-depth, but Oleana using beautiful and feminine Pokémon up until her g-max garbador ace— a literal heaping pile of trash? And how that represents the her horrible personality hidden behind her appearance?

And how Rose’s team is made up of thorn and thorn-like Pokémon, as well as industrial Pokémon and his childhood starter? Without a rose in sight? He’s lost who he was to the pursuit of innovation or something. There’s no Rose anymore, only the thorns. Too bad there’s nothing before these moments.)

It ends up just feeling like a barely even executed dollar store version of Sun and Moon. You’ve got the punk evil team who isn’t actually evil, the altruistic company/foundation that turns out to be far worse than the evil team, extraterrestrial pokemon who are very debatably Pokémon being brought into the world and causing problems? Yeah everything screams “we tried to recreate the s/m formula,” down to Hop using Hau’s animations. Insane.

(Also team yell feels like another dead horse that I don’t want to beat— but they don’t work like Team Skull did. Team skull worked! Really well in my opinion! Meanwhile Team Yell is just… kind of a vague nuisance. I get that was the point, but if Macro Cosmos was going to be the villains— why not give any buildup beforehand? Oh well. I said I wouldn’t beat the dead horse.)

Tl;dr: Sword and shield is barely even trash, it’s an empty dumpster with some unopened cans in it and I am sitting in there playing with the cans trying to create a coherent story out of it. Man galar’s good if only it was good. Go watch Twilight wings it’s Galar if it was good

#10: knowledge for knowledge's sake by tigriswolf (ao3) || quite an old piece detailing how a change in the personality of one Hermione Granger could have had a massive impact to the story— and while I don't fuck with JKTerfling, the fics I've read from the old fans in the HP fandom are still honestly, some of the BEST I have EVER read. This one in particular irrevocably changed me as a teen, and is one story that I continue to draw inspiration upon when I create dark!AUs for my SI/OCs.

Anyway, this particular fic was SO brilliantly original and YET so entrenched in the personalities between T&K that it ABSOLUTELY just wrecks me everytime I reread it. anyways hi @connyhascontrol pls know ur brilliant <3

#6: I think I'm gonna call him out by hellelf (ao3, users only) || again, another AU for Hermione fic, that's chockfull of world building and interesting relationships! It's been unupdated from its 5 chapters since 2021, but I still LOVE to look back at it from time to time 💖

#5: The Confectionary Chronicles series by cheshire_caroll (ao3); Into the Black series by angelholme (ao3); Hermione Granger & the Serpent's Renaissance series by epsi1on (ao3) AND New Blood by artemisgirl (ff.net) || if it's not evident, i am an absolute slut for fics ft. Hermione being badass & put into a v cool plot w/ insane amounts of world building, so yeah, def a top 5 most contender <3

#4: The Infinitely Curious Woman by chararii (ao3) || literally ALL of their fics are absolute bangers, and while I forever mourn their decision to stop all Naruto fics thanks to the great harddrive incident of 2022, I have nonetheless the GREATEST respect to their skill & talent to bring SUCH LIFE to their stories. In particular, I chose this particular fic of theirs because the premise of Sakura making her own way by shedding off her morality the more she learned & got influenced by her 2 greatest teachers was absolutely nothing short of DIVINE. It was and IS such an inspiration to read, reread & explore, and I will forever love @chararii for this brilliant piece of a fic

#3: The Endgame that never was series by @heleneplays aka me (tumblr masterlist) || ok I know this seems self-absorbed but DEAR MOTHER OF CHRISTIE i literally WENT OFF for a whole ass day and a half going feral for the Relics of the Lost Age series book 3 finale (hi @jamesshawgames pls know im still here and STILL simping even tho i am currently having a brainrot for a different thing on main sjdhdkdk i hope ur doing well dearest mr. chief author sir!!!!) and created this series from my dreams + nonstop ben&ben playlist— and honestly, I think it's VERY sexy of me <3 bc I rarely like things that I do after a while, but THIS— alongside Universal Constant (ao3) are truly my BEST work <3

Beau for the ask meme?

First impression: I don't think I had any strong feelings about Beau when I started c2? Although this animatic of Beau and Nott's tree race was a big reason I got into c2 lol so I guess we can thank Beau for my c2 obsession. :)

Impression now: God I love Beau. She's absolutely my favourite of Marisha's pcs. Not only is she a badass with an amazing character arc and some fantastic relationships (Brjeaus? Empire siblings? Beauyasha? All fantastic) but I'm also so in love with how Marisha plays Beau.

Like Beau's whole gender presentation and relationship with femininity is deeply deeply relatable. I love that Beau is kind of masc, I love the slightly deeper voice Marisha puts on for her, I love that she's unapologetically a horny lesbian and kind of a fuck boy, I love that she wears makeup but it's always described as messy day-old makeup, I love that she didn't want to wear that tiara of intellect or wear a dress to a ball because it's not her, but she made the circlet into something that fit her, she was so happy when the clerics bought her a nice suit, she cares about how she looks, she is very much a woman and connected to her womanhood but not in a feminine way. It's just... it's so much and it's so good and Marisha plays it soooo well.

(That got long but wow I have feelings about Beauregard Lionett.)

Favorite moment: The tree race with Nott lmao. Absolutely iconic moment. (Also any bit where she turns to Fjord for how-to-people advice is my favourite, too.)

Idea for a story: Something exploring Beau and Veth's relationship, maybe? Ooh, maybe something about Luc and TJ growing up and becoming friends, with Beau and Veth as kind of a background friendship.

Or an AU where Beau becomes Fjord's second mate and continues to have pirate adventures with Fjord and Jester? Tbh I just want all of the Nein to continue to be pirates together post-canon lol. That was my favourite era of theirs.

Unpopular opinion: I don't know if I have any unpopular Beau opinions?? Idk man I just think she's cool.

Favorite relationship: The Brjeaussssss!! I love Fjord and Beau's relationship. They play off of each other so well, they're best friends, they're funny together but there's also so much genuine emotion between them... They're both kind of stoic but they love each other so much. I love them.

Favorite headcanon: Kind of said this above but I looove the idea of Luc and TJ growing up and being besties. Beau even mentions it several times, that she thinks they should be friends. I think she continually sets up playdates for them as they grow up. :)

Main thing aside from procrastination stopping me getting on with Hermitphibia is False’s lore. Feel like I need to wait things out before I write more for her & Anne.

...that said, i’ve had this one rattling about my brain for weeks, & recent revelations in the HC-Empires crossover have added to it:

Picture a time in mid-Season 1, before meeting Sasha & Scar, or even Grian. When False is the only Hermit Anne’s met, but definitely after the Snow Day incident.

False’s training of Anne is progressing well. Anne’s natural ability is impressing False, & the teen’s enthusiasm’s keeping things moving. False has even been trying to curb Anne’s less healthy tendencies, though doesn’t yet know their full extent & won’t for some time.

However, one thing False has noticed that’s really getting under her skin is Anne’s growing hero worship of her.

It was subtle at first in a “cool big sis” way, but its becoming clear Anne Boonchuy’s starting to see “Badass False Symmetry” as something to strive for. Comments made on Snow Day about how she would “never leave anyone to die” aren’t helping at all.

And putting aside False’s personal feelings, Anne’s done things that False recognizes as some of her own shortcomings. Things that have in past & present only caused problems.

And one evening, in the middle of Anne going on about how awesome her teacher is... False snaps.

She rather sharply exclaims that she isn’t some ideal to be looked up to. She might try to do the right thing & she knows her way around combat as if she were born to it, but she’s done things in the past. Bad things.

Things she can’t take back even if they were done with noble intentions, that were Anne to know the full extent of them would erase any ideas she has about False being a good person (i’m thinking both leaving Gem behind in S8 & the whole Empires!False debacle).

This completely throws Anne off as False is basically calling Anne a fool for liking her, & the blonde storms off before she can form a response. Cue an episode’s worth of shenanigans stemming from a crisis happening (maybe Night at the Inn) while both Anne & False are emotionally preoccupied, that’s largely resolved by Anne learning when to do what she views as right rather than following someone else’s moral compass, as well as teaming up with False & proving to the blonde that despite past mistakes, she is a good person at heart.

After this there’s an emotional talk, & False opens up a bit more to Anne about her past & the Hermits. At some point, Anne comments that the Hermits sound like one big dysfunctional but happy family & admits to being an only child. Sprig’s also a part of this conversation for a non-only child’s perspective, & gets a tad too invasive with questions:

“...Soooo, do you have any siblings, False? Um, actual ones, I mean.”

“Sprig!” Anne hissed.

“...One.” False replied quietly, suprising girl and frog alike. “A sister, but...”

False trails off, pulling an almost pained expression, & Anne gets the feeling this is a tricky subject that False isn’t quite ready to talk about with her, so lets it go for now.

Or in IRL terms, i’m waiting for the Twins!False arc to wrap so I can avoid contradictions, though i’m going to assume for clarity’s sake that by the time of the AU the other Hermits have long since discovered pre-S9 False was twin sisters living under one twin’s name, though i’ll avoid outright stating that in case False’s final lore proves to be a little different.

For now, though, the air’s been cleared between teacher & pupil, at least until the next crisis rears its ugly head.

And that’s more or less all i’ve got in the tank, for now. As always, i’ll happily answer any asks should anyone have any off the back of this. :)

Fate AU: Master/Servant AU KuroEne 🖤💙

Technically, in KagePro lore context, Kuroha refers to Azami and Marry both as his "Master" so this AU works well with Kuroha and Marry (regardless of whether you enjoy their dynamic as platonic and/or ship).

With that being said, I'm KuroEne brained and gay for my wife, so I chose Ene for this.

THIS AU IS SO COOL WAHHHH

I'm such a huge fan of KuroEne's dynamic cuz Ene is super bold and confrontational.

Ene constantly butts heads with him and gets flustered by his teasing

Idk why I never thought of that before but that could actually be soooo interesting...

Especially if Kuroha/Saeru embeds Divine Spirits as part of his components upon his summoning and becomes a High Servant.

Kuroha/Saeru (Snake of Clearing Eyes)

Divine Spirits:

Yamata no Orochi

"Yamata no Orochi (八岐大蛇 (ヤマタノオロチ), lit. 'Giant Eight Branched Snake') is an eight-headed serpent from Japanese mythology."

So, with Yamata no Orochi as one of his components, he can summon a giant serpent.

I’d choose Snake Gods, Gods of Knowledge, or Underworld Gods/Lords.

Fate: Master/Servant AU where Ene is a Master and magus that summons Kuroha/Saeru as her Servant because she wants to fight and win the Holy Grail War (HGW)

The winner of a HGW has any wish of theirs granted (though often, the Holy Grail comes with corruption/is not exactly what it appears to be...)

If I had to put him in one of the traditional Servant Classes, it'd be Archer. Cuz Archer Servants are just anyone that uses long ranged weapons in Fate LMFAOOO. Which includes guns.

But my bias says to make him an Alter Ego-class Servant. Alter Ego is one of the Extra Classes (outside of the conventional ones). It's my fave Servant class.

Because so many of my top faves are Alter Egos (See: Douman, Kiara, Meltryllis, Koyanskaya. Kama also technically qualifies)

Alter Ego fits him really well imo. Especially considering the "Joker" motifs of the Alter Ego (Servant Class) card in FGO, and how Sidu drew the Kuroha Joker Playing Card illust before. Joker themed~

It just fits so well with him, considering canon-verse Kuroha's nature as a "being who exists to grant wishes"

Just think of how badass would it be if he could summon giant snakes. Man. MAN... This AU is so cool actually. I need to come up with 2 more Divine Spirits for him. I'd say it has to be a Divinity that has power over knowledge, or more serpent beings.

Like I'd imagine that his power as a High Servant would be to be able to summon giant snakes and make them shoot across at enemies like Kiara's demon pillars

Like when he first meets Ene (upon getting summoned), he introduces himself to her as Black Konoha (黒コノ��, Kuro Konoha), but his True Name is Snake of Clearing Eyes (目が冴える蛇, Me ga Saeru Hebi)

Master/Servant AU: KuroEne

Ene gets surprised that she summoned a Servant in a class outside of the conventional ones. Someone is fucking with the system (He's responsible for it lmao)

Ene constantly butts heads with Kuroha due to his teasing WHDHHSDHS

Also just imagine how OP (overpowered) this fucker would be LMAOOO. It'd fit him, honestly. Canon-verse Kuroha is ridiculously OP when possessing Konoha's body.

I was inspired by my beloved LimGuda with this since many of LimGuda’s fan-artists draw arts of Douman carrying Ritsuka (jumping off a ledge while carrying them, or catching them after they fall from the air)

So I just imagined a scene where Kuroha gets out his revolver and fires gun shot blasts (or picks up and throws a set of throwing knives) at an enemy Servant, and then jumps off a building’s ledge while carrying Ene in his arms.

At the end of the HGW, Kuroha and Ene end up as the victors of the Holy Grail War, but Kuroha betrays Ene by taking the Holy Grail for himself and making a wish for immortality.

He also wishes to the Holy Grail to make the world loop endlessly so that these days can continue forever and ever, creating a form of eternity to allow him to be with his S/O forever.

Kuroha’s entirely self-serving love (because he believes it benefits the other party too)

Quoting this from my previous rambles:

"Kuroha is literally so fucked up dude cuz even his twisted form of affection that he holds for his S/O (the Mekakushi Dan member who he's paired with), is still in a twisted, selfish, self-serving way. Even when he caters to his partner's pleasures, it still ultimately caters to his pleasures the most. That makes him interesting, though. Someone so inherently dark and twisted and sinister, with selfish desires like that…" 🥰💞

Context

Some of my faves in FGO 💞

Fate's origins started with the visual novel, Fate/stay night (F/sn) which set up the foundations of the franchise with its focus on the Holy Grail War (HGW), basically a battle royale where Master/Servant duos fight each other for the Holy Grail, a wish granting device.

And every other Fate sub-franchise, such as Fate/Grand Order (FGO), has its own form/version of the HGW.

From the Type-Moon (TM) Wiki:

"The Holy Grail War (聖杯戦争, Seihai Sensou) is a competition that decides the ownership of the Holy Grail through intense battle royale."

...

Basically, some Fate Servants have Divine Spirits (Gods, Goddesses, or other Spirits) embedded in their Saint Graph as Servants. Since they are merged with Divinities or other Spirits, they can use aspects of their powers.

For example, Ashiya Douman (Limbo) embedded Divinities into his Saint Graph and turned himself into a High Servant, a Servant with 3 Divinities. That's so like them. Very gender of you, Douman! 💗💞

I put my fave FGO charas here Douman and Kiara 🥰💗💞 My no. 1 FGO meow meow mfs~ My cat cot and wifey~ Melt is in my top fave FGO femme charas.

Note: Saint Graph = The "base" or foundational essence of a Servant. Basically, the "records" that hold their identities, powers, past memories, etc.

Fate AU: KuroEne (Dialogue Scripts)

I just wrote these quickly for now so these aren't refined and not in order. I used line breaks to separate different ideas or scenes

Context:

“The Command Spells (令呪, Reiju, also translated as "Command Seals") are three claims of absolute obedience, the crystallization of a great magic, that a Master has over a Servant in the Holy Grail War system.”

So basically, the Command Seals are 3 red spells on the hand, filled with great magic. Masters can use a Command Seal to order their Servant to do whatever they wish for, and the Servant must obey. It’s like a binding spell. Each time they’re used, you lose a stroke (use up a Command Seal). Though it is possible to replenish them.

A Master that uses all 3 Command Seals in a traditional HGW loses authority over their Servant, and thus cannot order them around anymore. So the Servant no longer has to obey any orders.

In FGO, Ritsuka uses them in important moments to turn the tides in fights (ie. Giving their Servant more magical energy, honing their strategy, etc.)

...

I came up with the idea that, throughout the HGW, Kuroha/Saeru would urge Ene to use her Command Seals in important fights (without drawing suspicion ofc), so she uses them up one by one as the HGW goes on.

He does this so he doesn’t have to obey orders when he plans to betray her, so that she can’t order him to stop his plan (ie. betraying her by stealing the Holy Grail for himself)

I’d imagine that Master Ene is naive and not fully aware about the specifics of a HGW as a Master and magus and fully trusts her Servant, Kuroha/Saeru, due to his amassed knowledge and listens to him about the things he tells her about the HGW. So… Yeah.

FGO AU: KuroEne

I also thought about a FGO AU with KuroEne.

There are a few ways this could go:

1) Kuroha gets summoned as Ene’s Servant and fights with her to stop the source of the “Singularity” (distortion in space-time, being caused by a Holy Grail in a certain time period). He acts as if he’s on her side, with Ene not catching onto his true intentions at all, only to reveal himself as the true perpetrator of the Singularity.

Kuroha is the cause of a Singularity that causes the Summer to loop endlessly, over and over again.

In truth, Kuroha used the Holy Grail to create a Singularity that’d loop endlessly.

(I got inspired by FGO’s more lighthearted Summer events that went exactly like this)

2) Same thing as above, but Ene is working to stop the source of the Singularity (and endless looping summers), Kuroha/Saeru, who is her enemy.

You can have the betrayal be more serious or a more lighthearted betrayal (causing a time looping Summer and general mischief)

3) If you want a nightmare~ish scenario, maybe, his wish of immortality requires a large source of magical energy in order to make come true, so Kuroha/Saeru wishes to the Holy Grail to make a calamity with black tendrils eat up most of the towns people in order to give him an immortal body. He’ll spare his Master tho <3

In this scenario, Ene expresses her disbelief and anger with his actions and calls him a true monster, and he nods and says he agrees with her (^-^)

Kuroha/Saeru's Love

"Kuroha/Saeru claims to love humans, specifically their foolishness, and looks down on them as well."

Azami's genuine pure form of love for her family, willingly sacrificing herself for her family and mankind.

Vs.

(In the context of a Kuroha ship AU)

Kuroha/Saeru holding a twisted form of affection and obsession for his S/O and wanting to continue the time loop Tragedy in order to be with his S/O forever in a twisted, selfish, self-serving way.

He looks up to his Masters and serves them, but won't put anyone else above himself and his wants and needs. In the end, he's doing this all for Azami, because he believes that this is what she truly wanted and needed, but ends up being the one causing her the most suffering.

Ai (愛) vs. Koi (恋)

"Selfless" vs. "Selfish" love

Azami -> Loving someone for the sake of someone else

Kuroha -> Loving someone for his own sake

I love your Kung Fu Panda Avatar au it’s so cool you combined my two favourite things together I also have a lot questions too like Po’s avatar form would look so badass I can imagine it still taking the form of a dragon, I can imagine Tigress going through an arc where she learns not to use her Fire bending with just anger and Po helps her with this, Viper being a water bender fits her so well with her especially her using blood bending remember the bridge scene in the first movie when they were fighting Tai Lung, Viper went on him and kept making him hit himself so I like to imagine in that said scene she was using blood bending.

At first I was wondering where Jade Palace would take place and then I realised it would obviously be in the Earth Kingdom, Since Lord Shen is from the fire nation it’s makes so much sense his family ended up making the first fireworks also Lord Shen gave me nightmares as kid cause how scary and intimidating he his and him being a non bender makes him even more terrifying.

Remember in the third movie when the pandas were the creators and masters of chi how about in this au its actually called Chi bending and it pretty much has the exact same abilities in the movie where not only can it heal others (probably even stronger and faster than a water benders healing) but it can also grow and heal plants and trees too also Po’s people are called the panda clan and (yes I still want the animal aesthetic to this au I mean already heard Shen’s family are peacock clan so it’s fair and I also find it really cool the nations in this au have animal clans in it) and the reason they call themselves this is because a long time when Po’s people were first becoming a village, they didn’t know any type of bending and they didn’t have any type of crops or nothing to grow food and were practically on the break of starvation until one day a giant panda spirit (and no not the one in avatar lmao) came to them and offered to teach them chi and they agreed and after it taught them chi it immediately disappeared never to be seen again and to thank the panda spirit for helping them they officially named themselves the panda clan and dawned the clothing of it and stories of this said spirit have been passed down from generations to generations (and I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a celebration based around it where they a bunch food together cause food is definitely an important thing to this clan and all of them being big and round us definitely a genetics thing and not because they eat to much) of course over time they’ll forget to know how to use chi and they’ll end up learning it again thanks to Po (also his clan is definitely in the Earth Kingdom).

The stuff I said before may explain why might some people might wear different type of clothing and colours to their nation, either their like Viper where their parents are from two completely different nations or your like Po where your family may be from a unique clan where they wear the the colours of that said clan to represent themselves Like black and white and that’s all I want to say sorry if it’s so long I just really love your au so much and just thought of so many ideas for it keep up the great work.

Your points about the panda clan and them inventing anew type of chi bending is soooo good and since they're a unique little village, they wear distinct clothings, i.e. black and white, rather than the typical green attire most EK towns wear.

For the Jade Palace Location/ Valley of Peace, I'm thinking of placing it somewhere near an Air Temple and the earth kingdom. It'll probably a small, yet popular place for benders and non benders from different nations to live in. Kinda like a mini Republic City? This is all because i headcanon mister Ping to be a nonbending fire nation citizen lmao.

Maybe a wheelchair but he's fine, also he can use the Warhammer for super speed and make it awesome once he's used to it. Archie and Charlie get freed once they rebuild the bridge (and they were playing scrabble to pass the time). Nomura is still dead because she died on screen and I can't really deny that but she's with Draal so it's okay. Everyone is traumatized but they'll be fine. NotEnrique is still babysitting 500 babies and Steve is about to bring 7 more.

In summary, I reject Groundhog Day ending but everything else was great, as long as it actually happened. It was a good movie. But you can't just cancel years of passion. Having the prospect of a million "canon AUs" sounds great for writing but at the same time nooo you can't do that he didn't have to go back THAT far HHHHH

I liked the movie. It was a great watch and a satisfying end to a franchise, but I gotta say I do not fancy the ending of it so I will from now on be in denial. I honestly feel kind of betrayed that this show was my whole life for so long, I learned every smallest fact, and they basically deleted it from existence. I know what they were going for, I think, but no thank you I will be going with my own opinion. Still gonna rewatch it a few dozen times though ✌🏻

Alright, I said I’d do it and now I’m doing it. We will not be arguing over ships because it’s impossible to argue if I include..... all of them. I’ll include some nice ship things and then rate the likeliness of the ship happening in my au.

Kataang: my babies. soulmates. they would be that adorable couple that has been together since the eighth grade. they work well together because they’re both kind hearted and care about each other deeply. they hold hands in hallways, call each other pet names (the infamous “sweetie” that makes sokka want to die), and always try to give each other little surprises to brighten each other’s day. they’re very into valentines day. would it happen? yes. 100/10. 

Sukka: my babies part 2. sokka comes to every football game to cheer her on during halftime. he also goes to every winter guard competition. Suki goes with him when he does his graffiti. she insists it’s to be a lookout in case the cops find them, but she just loves watching him make his art. they don’t go out much, and are just as happy watching anime in suki’s room as they would be on a date. would it happen? YES. 10/10.

Zukka: the hottest ship of the ATLA renaissance. probably the best ship of all time. they just have this perfect dynamic. sokka is a genius with terrible ideas and no impulse control. zuko is just a guy with anxiety. sokka would definitely help zuko come out of his shell a little bit. and iroh loves his nephew’s boyfriend. sokka helps out for free in the jasmine dragon if zuko is working. would it happen? maybe. i do love them a lot. 8/10.

Zutara: okay. everyone has an opinion on zutara. my opinion is that i don’t like it unimportant. they stay up late on facetimes and talk until like 3 am. they play a lot of games and katara is super competitive, so zuko lets her win a lot. she’s cute when she’s convinced she’s the king of gamepigeon 8 ball. would it happen? unlikely. 4/10.

Taang: i don’t hear about this ship a ton. it’s not one i ever thought about. they’re both super protective, even though neither of them really need to be protected. aang is definitely more affectionate than toph, but toph can and will beat the shit out of anyone that hurts aang. would it happen? they’re the only two freshmen, so maybe, but still unlikely. 5/10.

Tokka: i’ve always thought toph’s little crush on sokka was adorable. they would skip school, go break the law for fun, that kind of nonsense. this is one of those rare instances where sokka has the most common sense. they would be more of a “what’s up you ugly idiot” kind of couple than a “hey baby! :)” kind of couple. would it happen? I could see them getting along. it would be pretty chaotic. 6.5/10.

Mai Lee: MY GIRLS. they’re perfect for each other. Mai is peak alt girl. She’s a goth queen, eyeliner sharp enough to kill a man, chains, little shirt big pants, and a nose piercing. ty lee is the exact definition of cottagecore. strawberry dresses, lots of blush, makes her own earrings. ty lee even gave mai a pair of earrings she made to look like knives. they walk down the street holding hands. if anyone throws them a weird look, mai throws a knife right back. would it happen? HELL YES. 1,000/10.

Tyzula: here’s the thing. azula never did get that sweet sweet redemption arc, so in my au she’s still a bit of an asshole. if they got together, i can see azula really trying to improve herself as a person for ty lee. i see ty lee really trying to sell the idea of including azula to the rest of the friend group. i’m really into the idea of instead of ty lee “fixing” her, having azula work on herself with ty lee as some extra motivation. would it happen? if azula put in effort to be a better person, sure. 7/10.

Maitara: what, did you think i was going to forget maitara? i did say every ship. katara vibes with the softgirl aesthetic while mai is on the egirl side, and honestly i am living for it. would it happen? this one is definitely a rare ship. but i think it could work. 5/10.

Maiko: ah yes, the canon one. zuko’s not quite as edgy as mai is. he’s like, if you diluted the eboy aesthetic a little. but i think it would maybe work between my two emo babies. they’re a couple that you never really see engaging in any pda so you just assume they’re friends until someone tells you otherwise. they’re very cute together, but dare i say kind of boring...? would it happen? goth x goth solidarity is cool, so maybe. 6/10.

Azutara: dude, there’s not a lot to say for this one. it’s been a little while since i’ve even seen an azutara shipper. are they extinct? (azutara babes pls tell me if ur not extinct). yeah so if this happened i think it would be because azula put in the work to be a good person and was welcomed back into the group. once she was in the group, katara would have gotten to know her real personality and liked her. but katara also holds her accountable for her actions. she puts up with no bullshit because she knows her worth. would it happen? i don’t think so. 2/10.

Sutara: this seems like chaos. these ladies would be the power couple of the century. i think with two women so strong and powerful, they’d butt heads a lot. they would be out in the world and actively changing it. would it happen? they’re both badass awesome women, but i’m not sure. 3/10.

Zukaang: uhh... i can’t say i ever thought about zukaang before now. but i guess you would have this bright ball of energy and a dark brooding type, so i can see how it could be cute. would it happen? um... no. i’m not sure if opposites attract that much. 0/10.

Tophko: another one that has literally never crossed my mind! i’m not sure how i feel about angry + angry as a dynamic. i think they would make great friends. okay, i think they would be a couple you mostly wouldn’t want to mess with. they can mess with each other, but no one else is allowed to mess with them. would it happen? no. i’m a slut for height differences, but not at the expense of a good personality match. 0/10.

Jetko: ah, the infamous jetko. the thing about jet in my au is that he’s kind of a sports boy. jock vibes. i guess i haven’t thought about his personality much except that he’s, well, a cocky sports guy. even if mans was bi or gay, i think he would have too much internalized homophobia to openly be in an gay relationship. would it happen? here’s the thing. i could maybe see them having kissed once or something, but not together currently. 4/10.

Jetka: okay i see a handful of people saying jetka rights so i thought i’s include it. i think the most likely scenario would be, maybe, they kissed once or twice and then sokka got ghosted because jet was closeted and scared. since jet obviously didn’t try to burn down a village, maybe that could be the reason sokka doesn’t like him. would it happen? maybe they never got together but jet could have been sokka’s first dude crush or something. 2/10.

Jetara: my immediate thought was that jet asked her out and they went out for like a week but katara quickly realized hey, he’s an asshole. ALTERNATIVELY, katara recognized him as the guy who hurt her brother or zuko and never went out with him at all, because hey, i don’t need all that drama. would it happen? maybe awkward exes. 3/10.

I mentioned the cut line about Timothy's placeholder actor talking about a brother and a Vault Key in the tags on another post recently and now I can't stop thinking about it because the line itself + the person saying it just didn't sit right with me since I found it so. Here's a thing I wrote up to make sense of it in my Swiss cheese platter of a brain

"For losing control of your brother when we had him locked down? Yeah, we're square. But last I checked, you still owe us a Vault Key."

And here's his placeholder actor saying some other lines that are actually from the dlc so ya know I'm not joshing u abt this being Timothy's placeholder guy

So anyway I was thinking about who Timothy's actually talking to who has a brother, right?

Naoko Katagawa maybe? I can't imagine Tyreen would wanna listen to Timothy. Maybe someone in the casino dlc was supposed to have a brother. He could be talking to Aurelia, but then he'd have to be on the side of the villains, no?

Yeah so um.

My theory is that this is actually Troy's line and a different placeholder actor was used for him here. Then it makes sense why he's telling this mystery character that a) mystery person has their brother locked down (Hammerlock in the Anvil? Weird way to say he's imprisoned, buuut it's what fits) and b) they owe the speaker a Vault Key (Aurelia does indeed owe them a Vault Key during Eden-6).

The biggest thing against this is that Troy's placeholder sounds way different to me.

For example, here's a line from Troy talking about Tannis to the Vault Hunters:

Maybe I'm as bad with voices as I am with faces, but this sounds different to me. This will be so hilarious if everyone is like "cruddy. Bro. Those are the same guy." like I'm sorry!!! I'm bad at this lol

It could be that they just had whoever was available recording lines when they were introduced so they could fit them in on time- we know the casino dlc was already in development before the game shipped, so maybe they just grabbed Timmy's VA to do a quick line or two for Troy until they could get Troy's VA in. It is funny to me that (if this is the case) Timothy's was the one chosen for it, cuz he even says the line the way Timtam would. Meanwhile, you can hear Troy's placeholder guy absolutely Going For It in his lines and being sassy as hell. But maybe Timothy's placeholder was the only one available at the time.

All THAT said I'll still hold that saying "losing control of your brother when we had him locked down" is an extremely weird way to say he was broken out of prison by his friends. It sounds less like a "dammit you lost the brother we kidnapped" and more "this powerful person escaped our trap and we're fucked now" and I mean if this were H2O AU and Hammylocks was a werewolf in canon I'd be all over this, but he's not?? And that's why I originally thought this line was directed at someone like Naoko or Tyreen, who DO have powerful brothers that warrant keeping them under control and 'locked down'. Not that Hammerlock isn't strong in his own right, he's a badass hunter, but. You know what I'm saying? Compared to other characters featured in the story, he's not so scarily strong.

Maybe I'm reading into it wrong, I tend to do that frequently lol. If I'm right though and this is a weird way to express what happened in-game, then I think it makes sense why this line didn't click for me.

It is fun to try and figure out what goes on behind the scenes of this game. I'm really excited for the cut content stuff. I hope we finally get an explanation for those Evil Tyreen and Evil Troy portraits and the whole story where Troy flips out after Tyreen either gets hurt or dies and demands the cameras be shut off. And Scooper!!!! I want Scooper, he's so fuckin cute and he had a quest with a bully and 😭. Also the Eridian Gates, those seemed so goddamn cool.

I'd also love answers as to why a Guardian started talking and why Lilith asked us if we heard that after we killed Tyreen in the subtitle files. I assume that was gonna be a tie-in to the Overseer (same voice actress for the mystery Guardian line from the Vault of the Destroyer and the Overseer) with her trials since she and that whole situation is obviously very important to the lore if the Guardian Takedown had anything to say about it, but they went with the other method of finding each area? Which is fine, just a bit confusing cuz it does then make the Trials feel like side content when they appear to be main-story stuff.

And why originally Ava was supposed to ask Lilith to teleport them for noodles on Athenas instead of Lilith just yeeting Elpis across the galaxy!!!! Like I'm 90% sure the original ending had Lilith sticking around after she gets her powers back. And she was totally supposed to join us in the final fight against Tyreen, there's no reason she was suddenly holding her stomach and limping in that final cutscene. Plus her voice lines there, PLUS the Sanctuary drop pod right next to the vending machines. Also you can find Boom Town right above the portal to the Vault of the Destroyer if you noclip out of the area and that was probably there because Tina, Brick, and Mordy were also going to join us. I found their fightin/encouragement lines in the subtitle files.

Oh, also, I'd love to know more about the Bug Smugglers TV show. Annnnd the Second Stars cuz I love them. And can we see some Junpai-7 content pls 👀 it's mentioned soooo often between Commander Lily and BL3 that I wanna believe it was planned at least a little bit. Beach resort planet hoooooo! God imagine if we get to see Krieg and Maya together on Skywell-27 with like concept art or original scripts or something. I'd genuinely cry.

A oneshot I made (I've been writing a few) in the Wig OK Bruh AU. Of Cody getting some romantic advice from Noah, of all characters.

Some slight Coditty time

"I don't know...you think girls like swords?"

Noah shook a bottle of formula in one hand when trying to balance his daughter in the other. "In my experience, it depends on the girl. He looked over to the fedora-clad nerd currently sitting on his couch. "If it's Kitty, then maybe."

Cody groaned, and glanced back at Noah. "You know, you're not being very helpful", he said before turning his attention back to the TV.

"Hey", Noah pointed to Cody with the bottle, peeved out. "You came into my apartment to ask for advice! Or so you claimed anyway…"

Cody looked up from the video game he was playing. "Your video game system is better", he sheepishly admitted.

"Well couldn't you go to Harold's or something? I'm kind of in the middle of something here-"

Noah was interrupted when his two month old started to fuss and reach out for the bottle in his outstretched arm. Noah turned his attention back to her.

"Hey, I know, can you wait two more seconds", he asked, with noticeably more patience. "I'm lecturing Uncle Cody about why his plan sucks."

"Hey!"

"It's true", Noah shrugged and sat down on the couch next to Cody. He put the bottle into his daughter's mouth, who immediately started to calm down with what she wanted. He watched Cody continue playing the game in a half-asleep daze.

Cody glanced over a bit, before double taking when he saw exactly what 

"Didn't think you'd actually put Bramble in the dinosaur one", he commented.

Noah looked down at Bramble, wearing the orange and blue dinosaur footies they received at their baby shower.

"Yeah I didn't either", he admitted. "But it's the only clothes she seems to like. We try to put her in anything else, she starts bawling."

Cody laughed. "How long did that go on for?"

"Stop changing the subject", Noah kept him back on track. The sooner Cody got his advice, the sooner he would leave. "So, when are you gonna ask her out already?"

"I will", Cody insisted. "I just don't know how. I've been waiting for the right thing to say to follow-up on our last conversation."

"And when will that be? You gonna wait for ANOTHER friend to go into labor?"

Cody thought back to that awkward second meeting.

"It... it's HAPPENING! It's actually happening! I THOUGHT I'D BE MORE PREPARED FOR THIS!!!"

"I know, everyone does on the first kid, big guy."

Owen sat surrounded by friends in the hospital waiting room. He was in the midst of hyperventilating.

"Just keep breathing in the bag", Geoff instructed. "In and out. In and out."

Owen did so, and tried to get calmer with other reassurances.

Across from them in separate chairs, Kitty and Cody were sitting next to each other. The 2's silence was so tense you could cut a knife through it.

"Soooo...uhh", Cody twiddled his fingers and looked towards Kitty. ".....How ya been?"

"I made headway", Cody tried to defend himself. "And I think she was really impressed with my singing."

"Ah yes", Noah rolled his eyes. "Izzy's "birthing ambience"."

"You gotta admit, coming into the world to Bohemian Rhapsody. It was pretty badass! Especially the way you added on with that high note", Cody complimented, unaware that "high note" was actually a high-pitched scream of pain. "You still never told us what you thought of it."

"Well sorry. I was a little too busy getting this", he moved his head down to Bramble for emphasis, "little gremlin out of me to write down my critique notes."

"Alright dude", Cody feigned offense. "Man, you are really snappy today."

"Yeah", Noah looked down at Bramble, still drinking the bottle, completely unaware of the conversation going on around her. "This kid here. She's kept me and Owen up for weeks...but at the same time….I think having her and Owen around's made me the happiest I've been", he smiled while he looked down at his daughter.

Cody smiled at him. Seeing Noah be so sincere and happy was such a rarity. And it was a nice change of pace. "That's really great dude."

"Yeah….so I gotta make up for all that smiling and lay it extra thick on everyone else", Noah's smile changed back to a frown as he looked back up at Cody. "So grow some kiwis, and ask her on a date."

Annnnd, there was the old Noah back.

"I...I would, but... I'm just nervous", Cody admitted. "I mean, Kitty's cool! She likes video games too! She's also seen the world!"

"Yeah, she's a regular female you", Noah rolled his eyes. "So, what's stopping you from dating her and staying out of my apartment?"

"Well, your door", Cody commented. "And….and well, me."

Noah raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

"I don't know if you've noticed but…. I'm not exactly the cool guy everyone thinks I am."

Noah gasped and sarcastically feigned shock. "No! You? The Codemeister?"

"Ok everyone but YOU thinks I am" Cody rolled his eyes. "I just don't want to screw my chances up with her. I've already made a bad first impression."

"That's true", Noah nodded. "Doesn't get any worse than sloshed at my baby shower. Well I guess unless you puked all over her shirt….oh wait...you did."

The 2 were interrupted briefly when Bramble started babbling, the bottle finished. Noah held her out to Cody. "Can you hold her please?"

Cody was confused, but took Bramble into his arms. Noah got up from the couch and went behind Cody's view. "Well, yeah I did, but that's when I was drunk. Who knows what I'll do-"

"Put her over your shoulder."

"Uh...ok", Cody did so, and continued speaking. "Who knows what I'll do while sober. I just...I don't want to be-"

"Creepy", Noah interjected. "Like a skinny 16 year old trying to sneak his way into a goth's bra?"

"...... We'll go with something like that, sure."

Cody could hear some water running behind him, probably Noah by the sink. "Relax, you're overthinking it", he heard Noah's voice talking. "Keep that up, and by the time you're done thinking, she's gonna move onto somebody else. Just talk with her like how you talk to us."

Cody heard the water stop and Noah's footsteps get closer to him. "For example, like the two of us. What do we usually talk about?"

"Video games? Job updates? Our latest therapy revelations from looking back on our time as reality TV stars?"

"Exactly", Noah came back into Cody's view and sat beside him on the couch. "Maybe leave out the therapy parts, in case she already thinks you're crazy", he noted and started to pat Bramble's back. "But other than that, just talk to her about the stuff you like, and see what she likes."

Cody thought about it. Maybe he was overthinking this. But, it was an improvement over his underthinking as a teenager...I guess. But he felt more confident, at the very least, a whole dinner talking about video games wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

He smiled up at Noah, with his regained confidence. "Thank you Noah. I really appreciate you helping me with this."

"No Cody"

"BLARGH!"

Cody's smile quickly changed into a shocked grimace. He could feel the spit up running down the back of his shirt. His eye twitched as Noah took Bramble back into his arms with an enormous shit-eating grin, leaving Cody a shell-shocked mess.

And under the cut is all my rambling about designs or whatever! (this ended up not being about designs too much. Hm)

OK WE NEED TO BE ORGANIZED HERE I’ll be going generation by generation, from left to right. Everyone will be here, just for organization sake. Of course, some people are more important than others, so be warned for long rambles (in generation 2 especially) OK LET’S GO

Generation 1: Iida Parents: Idk man. They don’t even have designs. They’re probably cool Enji: He doesn’t deserve to be drawn well :) That and he doesn’t deserve to meet his grandkids :)) Rei: She deserves to be pretty and be a cool grandma. Her grandkids adore her. Hisashi: This mans is kinda wildin’ in my universe. Whatever he’s up to, it’s not being Inko’s husband. Inko: Soft grandma!!!!! We love her and she loves her grandkids and husband. Toshinori: He deserves to retire and settle down and be happy with his family and be adored by his gandkids. Emiko’s Father: He and Yukie got married (and Yukie got pregnant with Emiko) almost right out of highschool. He expected Yukie to give up her career to care for Emiko, but that didn’t gel with Yukie, so she divorced him when Emiko was little. Idk where he is now. Yukie: We love her. I love her. She’s super sweet and super cool and super short and that’s all you need to know. She also looks a lot like Eijirou (or, at least I tried to make them look similar) Crimson Riot: I subscribe to the Dad-Crimson theory, so here we are. After Emiko started elementary school, Yukie tried to get her career back together, but after meeting and having a thing with Crimson Riot and getting pregnant with Eijirou, she gave it up to be able to care for her kids. Nadie: An American journalist who moved to Japan for work! She and Yukie met and got married when Eijirou was 9-10. She has 3 kids from her previous marriage (that ended in disaster). Christopher Skyline: (Yes, THE Christopher “Captain Celebrity” Skyline. We’re just ignoring the Vigilantes canon over here.) Nadie’s ex-husband and the father of Hanae, Etsuko, and Suzume. He was a serial cheater, and the kids was a desperate attempt made by Nadie to try to make him stick around. Sperm Donor: Just a sperm donor. Mitsuki: Still looks SUPER young. She doesn’t like it when her grandkids call her “Grandma” or anything like that because it makes her feel old. Masaru: Loves being called “Grandpa” or whatever by his grandkids. He loves them, and likes to visit them a lot. Mika: Still quiet and chill. We love her. Kyotoku: Still loud and fun. He’s a cool dude, and he got them smile lines Beru: Her head is weird. I’m sorry queen, but it freaked me out. Ganma: He freaked me out even more. He was my least favorite to draw. Sorry bro. Uraraka’s Parents: Her dad reminds me of my dad (vaguely). They don’t have names, but they’re cool. Also, Ochako was able to get them a nice house, so good for them. Shouta: Just go look at @nartothelar‘s Silver Fox AU that was my main inspiration. He a grumpy old man who only likes his kids and grandkids and family. Hizashi: Same thing as Shouto. I like to think that all of his hair has grayed, so his hair is like Platinum Blond now.

Ok! Gen 1 done, and it was mostly me rambling about Eijirou’s parents. Maybe one day I’ll dedicate a post to them.

Generation 2: Tenya: I had him grow his hair out because 1.) I thought it was cute and 2.) it represents him loosening up a lil’ after school. He wears contacts during Hero Work, but wears his glasses casually. Tensei: Literally just the same dude. He’s Tensei and he’s chill and he’s cool. Dabi: I gave him an eyebrow piercing and a fun new cut. (Fun fact: That’s his Fantasy AU fairstyle) Fuyumi: I hope her hair looks very Teacher-y and Motherly. I think she looks super cute. Natsuo: A simple dude. He finds a cut that works and sticks with it. Although I did give him sideburns and a lil’ touch of beard. Shouta: Instead of shaving his red side, he combs the white side over it. Also, I hc that in his left eye, he’s half blind. Izuku: Yikes. He got the wound early in his hero career. He went blind in his right eye, so he and Shouta together are like 1 and 1/4 blind. Emiko: Eijirou’s older half sister. I would say she’s Girlboss and Natsuo is Malewife, and I think that’s accurate - even if only a little. She’s a social service worker, and met Natsuo in college. I had an old design before, but I like this one A LOT more Eijirou: I am a simp for long hair Eijirou, so here we are. ALSO freckles!!!! I love freckley eijirou. Also stubly beard and cool new scar. He is very dad. Hanae: The chill little sister. Probably a lawyer or professor or something smart like that. Etsuko: The crazy sister. She works in the hero field! If as hero support or as an actual pro, idk yet! Suzume: The ex-crybaby sister. She’s prolly doing something fun and artsy. Also, HUGE demigirl vibes Kane: The energetic little brother! He has most certainly gone pro, since he’s like very early 20s now. Fun Fact!: He was 6 when Mieko was born, so a lot of people thought they were siblings. It only got worse when Akio rolled around. Katsuki: hehe Undercut Bakugou. Also, hearing aids! I put his eyebrow scar there so he and his hubby are matchy matchy. Actually, both of their scars are pretty matchy matchy.... huh. Also, I’m totally not saying he was invloved in the fight that gave Izuku his scar, definitely not. Mashirao: STOP SAYING HE’S PLAIN AND ORDINARY. HE’S BEAUTIFUL DAMMIT. Every time I draw him I think about how darn pretty he is and that he could be like a KPop star or smth Tooru: It’s tooru! Super fun lil’ lady. What a queen. Mina: Look at that kick-ass scar I gave her. It’s what she deserves. Although, that eye may be a lil fucked up. Ah well, at least it looks cool. Yuuga: LOOK AT HIS HAIR. I am so happy with how it turned out! He so pretty. He and Mina are DEFINATELY Girlboss and Malewife. Hado: Also a simple lady. Prolly also needed to stick to her brand of long hair. She still super pretty tho. Lowkey disappointed I didn’t give her the stereotypical Anime-Protag’s-Mom hairstyle Haya: Completely shaved her head, and got more piercings! Like, 100% more Punk Rock. Itsuka: FRECKLES FRECKLES FRECKLES. And short hair!!!!!! Sigh, I love her. Tetsutetsu: I tried to make him look like Ejirou, even if just the face structure. I like how his hair and scar turned out tho. What a lad. Mezo: What a cool dude! Got a sick nasty scar, but covers it with his hair. I think, even with a majority of his face covered, he is still very handsome Miya: She has a name now!!!!!! What an icon. She’s a Hero Costume Designer, and she has a spider mutation. Wolf Spider, specifically (I think). She is so adorable and spunky I love her. Momo: Short hair!!!!!!1!1!1!11! God, what a goddess. We love her so so so much. Also, she gets to have a cool scar, too Kyouka: While she’s in UA, she straightens her hair, but after she graduates, she doesn’t care abt it. Momo rlly likes it curly. She also has that thing going on where you shave all of ur head except for ur bangs (and the side thingies). Oh! And eyebrow piercing! Satsuki: Pretty! Also, I made sure that all the girls who would’ve been 6-7 during the current time all had ponytails now (Satsuki, Etsuko, and Eri) Samidare: He’s super cool, and I decided to give him long hair to make him cooler. Also, Demiboy vibes, anyone? Tsuyu: A queen!!!!!! I love her so much!!!!!!! When her hair is down, it reaches to her shoulder blades. Ochako: SHE LOOKS SO BADASS I AM SO HAPPY. Look at her, with those cool scars, and that cool hair! What a queen! Mirio: Classic Mirio! Tbh, idk if I’ll give Mirio his quirk back. Like a lot of the stuff in the recent arc I’ve ignored, soooo......... Tamaki: He has SO MUCH HAIR. It ridiculous. Since growing it out, he uses it to hide behind if it’s left down. So Mirio likes to do stuff with his hair and make it look cute. Nikko helps, too! Eri: A queen!!!!!!!!!! Idk if she’ll be a Pro Hero or doctor that specializes with pro heroes, but I want her to be happy and help people! Hitoshi: Hanta and Denki weaves flowers into his hair a la Rapunzel all the time. The braid is really loose and shitty a lot of the time tho. Ah well. Denki: Because I moved his black stripe to down the center of his hair, my little sister keeps calling Denki and Race Car. And I agree. He got those scars because he was able to train himself to really not fry his brain anymore, but that means if he overloads, his electricity escapes some other way, so through his ears and into his face. Hanta: That scar was very strategically places because I am a firm believe that Sero will uncannily resemble Shouta when he gets older. I hadn’t done a really good job at that tho....... hm.

Gen 2 is done!!!!!! It was my fave generation to draw UwU. I’m not sure what to say with Gen 3, since I’ve already talked about them a lot. Jeez, idk. I’ll think about something to ramble about later.

Holy shit. The world building in straight shooter is top notch. This cyberpunk au concept is so unique and it didn't even matter that I wasn't sure what it entailed cus you described it so well. The characterization of the mc is soooo badass!! I LOVE a strong female lead and she is IT. Her skill for her craft, her sass, her intelligence blows me away. I love that she gave him the cyperpunk version of a key to her place haha and when he walks in one day to see hobi there and he's *jealous* like boyyy pick up the clues!! I love that concept of a lil silent (healthy) jealousy to help push the characters along. I cackled every time she came onto yoongi and he's like 🤨🤨 and pls, the way he quietly cares for her is so- sweet is not really the right word- 🥺🥺. And it was so satisfying to watch his cool exterior break. I love the contrast of their personalities, they remind me of fire and ice. The entire bit of dialogue between them after hobi leaves her new shop was my favorite scene. I was so impressed with her when she laid it all out there for him. My fave line tho "don't be obtuse" HAHAHA I will be using that when dealing with dum dums from here on out. And the smut tho... WOW he really went from I don't like you you're annoying -> respect -> loosing sleep over hobi wearing your insignia -> you'll take what I give you 🥵🥵🥵 thank for you sharing this piece with us!! lmao this took soooo long my sincere apologies for the wait!

the basics:

so mjn is a string quartet (which is what it says on the tin so idk why this is a whole bullet point)

martin = violin I, douglas = violin II, arthur = violist, carolyn = cellist

herc is a violinist and pianist, the latter for trios and stuff

theresa is a pianist and books them to play at an investiture ceremony

they basically go around playing for people’s weddings and as ambient music for other events (mr birling demands ambient music every year or something like that i haven’t thought that out)

okay now for some ✨details✨

martin and douglas as violinists are the easiest translations from charter airline to string quartet bc they play the same instrument.

the chaos comes from martin being tasked to lead, but being awful at it

to martin’s credit he is very diligent. he knows his parts pretty well, and his melodic interpretation isn’t bad, it’s just that he could be better at. a lot of stuff

douglas is very good at supporting a melody but he is even better at playing the melody, to martin’s general chagrin

but douglas makes a very good second violinist in that he works well with the lower instruments (i mean lower like range not in any hierarchical sense)

he knows how to defer and he is good at it. martin....meh.

also i was a second violinist for my stint as an ensemble musician so i May be biased... 🤭

lil rant: i absolutely love violas and i don’t get why people make fun of them or the people who play them !! the viola is a beautiful instrument and in a different life i would have chosen it! also my violin teacher plays the viola and she’s a literal genius and she’s one of my favorite people on this green planet and i would Die For Her !! so keep the viola jokes off my tl !! 😤

arthur: “it’s like a cello and a violin, but mixed together. it’s got a C string, like a cello, but you can put it on your shoulder like a violin! and furthermore, i don’t have to buy an extra seat for it like Mum does whenever we go travel—”

arthur unironically sees the viola, and alto clef for that matter, as a “best of both worlds”/“happy medium” type deal

nobody else quite understands why arthur thinks this way, especially about alto clef, but he is quite good at the viola so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

carolyn is a cellist. this is because she believes in bass clef supremacy.

also the cello is a beautiful instrument and in a different life i would have chosen it so this is kind of self indulgence too

literally what am i talking about? this whole au is the peak of self indulgence.....

carolyn also has played the double bass, not so much nowadays because she cannot fit it into her car

but if a chamber piece calls for it (and i am looking straight at the trout quintet for this) she will play it and she will look absolutely badass while playing it

i’m talking this level of cool. look closely at how the bassist on the left interacts with the celli. and how they all look at each other but i digress so natural! so fluid! i swoon! i first saw this recording in like. 2017 or something. i haven’t recovered

honestly though that video^ gives me so much serotonin i wanna play in an ensemble again :(((((( also someone i won’t name kinda threw shade at that recording once bc it’s not what you’d expect from a string ensemble and i was Ready To Fight

One Piece Daemon AU

Presented with only slight spelling corrections and some elaborations, the mess of a One Piece Daemon/His Dark Materials AU that would not leave me alone and would only let me work on it at 1-3AM.

Also now I’m writing snippets for it just like my Gundam Wing and Star Trek daemon AU. Because.

Luffy: sea king with Conqueror Haki so they can’t be controlled. Separated but not because that’s as free as you can get. Fuck yea, she’s in north blue chilling the fuck out (heh) half the time and being absolutely chaotic as shit the other half. Her attitude is diametrically opposed to what Luffy is doing at the time. LOL she runs/swims into Shanks when Luffy’s still barely a pirate so he has no idea (not that the marines do either) one time. This 2000ft tall monster is squinting at him, and he thinks he’s about to get ate and then she goes “oh you’re so much smaller now!” Cause of course she spent her formative years as a baby version of his daemon. The entire crew is goddamn losing it, cause what kind of monster is this that even Red Hair’s Haki can’t control it, until Shanks yells out her name and then everyone loses it further still. I have decided Eastern dragon aesthetic but water/earth theme as opposed to Kaido’s air/fire theme. Still blue, but blue-green, tiger stripes cause camoflage and also badass and maybe she settles after Luffy meets Zoro’s daemon *whistles*

Zoro: tiger obviously normal colors or green and black cause why the fuck not, Zoro is not into stealth really. ”The only one who can call me stupid is me. “ “.....stupid” Cat vs sword fight ensues. Can be found cuddling Chopper when Zoro’s tired, super sloshed, both.

Nami: monkey? Lemur: small, fast, quick hands, caring but only when you prove you deserve it. Absolutely torments Zoro’s when she’s pissed because tigers can’t normally climb fucking main masts but a) she parkours and b) when has that ever stopped Zoro/her? Likes to hang out in the tree grove, absolutely pick pockets people while Nami plays distraction.

Robin: cat some kind of cat not big CARACAL. Looks aloof but absolutely ready to be ridiculous at any opportunity.

Franky: dog or dolphin. Something excitable loyal ready to throw down Newfoundland? Big, friendly, over-excitable, likes water and sailing...yes.

Usopp: Corvid or monkey; curious, intelligent, stubborn, inventive, tool solving/using. Lives in groups/troops and cares for others. Probably corvid, too similar to Nami otherwise. Crow most likely.

Sanji: swan. Black, and absolutely a viper and very sorry about Sanji’s attitude towards woman cause she’s more refined about it. Same intensity though. Will bite the shit out of you. Tiger vs swan fight, GO. Do also groom each other though cause human affectionate displays are stupid sometimes.

Fishmen don’t have daemons its another conflict and excuse for racism.

Law: wolf but like starved and Eurasian crazy with it. LONG leggos. Spiky black fur around the head, grey black white speckled cause T R A U M A

Ace: was a fire hawk, no actual fire but red as hell and BIG tail and wings. Her species not liked on most islands cause they don’t leave once they’re settled. They stand their ground. More angst ha ha. Never met settled Luffys daemon because I’M A MONSTER.

Sabo: never settled until he learned Ace was dead and then she settled as fire hawk because trauma and angst and also he knows who he is now. Not being settled was useful for a while when he did infiltration etc but now they’re both happy/sad about it.
