I think one of the biggest tragedies of Laios & Falin and their relationship is how much his actions impact her life. But like. Specifically how much they WOULDN’T impact her life as much if they weren’t both stuck in such a shitty abusive situation.

This part of the Falin-tries-makeup daydream hour comic is what got me thinking about it again because truly it just... it seems like such a like an offhand comment that I'm sure Laios didn't mean to be cruel or anything. That's just like. A little kid not thinking about what they are saying. ESPECIALLY when the kid in question is Laios.

But man they depended on each other SO much as kids. Too much. It really feels like they didn't have any other source of positive reinforcement, or anyone else to share themselves with. So of course an offhand comment like that has a huge impact on Falin.

Or this little bit from one of the flashbacks:

This tears me apart. Do you think it tears him apart to think about? I think it does. I think Laios holds every small failure to care for Falin against himself.

And then there's the Bigger stuff. The way that him coping with his own trauma ended up impacting her.

Like his interest in monsters. Like him going to find a ghost, and accidentally revealing Falin's magic to the whole village in the process.

Like him needing to leave. And leaving her behind.

He shaped her life so much, and he carries so much guilt for it. And again, there should have been other people there to help. The same things that made Laios need to leave home are the things that made his leaving so hard on Falin. She ate alone after that. She shouldn't have had to eat alone just because Laios wasn't there.

She was 9 when he left for school, and he was 11.

Nine. And Laios feels like he failed her because he didn't stand by her through this better. As an eleven year old.

Both of these kids deserved so much better from the world.

u know wot im gonna talk about attack the block. its a movie made cause the director was fed up of seeing 'hoodie horror' and charecters like Moses[played by John Boyega in his first acting credit], black kids who got involved in bad stuff/expelled from school beeing shorthand for 'pure evil'

he went around interviewing kids to get the language right and meet people like moses. heres the full quote: "We did find some who were quite similar to Moses, who’d been excluded from school or got involved with bad stuff. And they’re not monsters. They’re very empathic, and when you spend a bit of time with them they’re normal and sweet, enthusiastic and bright. maybe this is just because it feels like a metaphor for how tlovm uses vex in general (and i could write an essay about it and have and will again) but something that i both understand tlovm choosing to do and deeply hate as a choice they made is vex no longer being the one to break thordak’s crystal even though vax was still the one to kill him. especially since the show was very explicit about thordak being responsible for killing the twins’ mother and also set it up as a sort of avenging of percy, it felt tonally weird to literally just have vex hanging out in the background for both the crystal breaking and him being killed. it’s fine (deeply upset voice) i understand that adjustments to pike’s vestige made this make sense for the plot but. glad to have vex continue to be a witness in tlovm moments that in the campaign her agency in were delicious character moments. it’s fine.

Okay so first noelle cause I looovvveeeee her. Her vibes are just immaculate. kid who was on the internet from way too young and got really into args ans horror games despite being afraid of them and has mommy issues and is gay and has a strained relationship with her childhood friend and she's got the whole Christmas theme Goin on with angels and all that jazz and she's got gifted kid syndrome and she has a missing sister and she's living (?) In the exact sort of video game she would have obsessed over as a kid and ugh there's just so much I like about her.. top one being that I really think the snowgrave route is supposed to mirror what we do with chara In no mercy (I went this long without mentioning them I should get points for that)

She's right behind queen as my favorite deltarune character. I also just love her relationship with Rudy it reminds me of me and my own dad, and when he dies, I will be inconsolable. (I do think he's dying 100%. That man was made in a lab to die tragically) If we go with the theory that the game deltarune asriel was making is actually undertale then I hc she playtested it for him :)

I have less big thoughts about Susie but she is still the beloved. (I have to replay my deltarune save b4 chapters 3& 4 come put because I forgot to warn the first enemy we fight w her lmao) the main thing I keep coming back to with her is how she feels like a typical Shonen protag (Naruto, and luffy for example) in contrast with Kris's silent rpg hero thing they got going on. She has the biggest change from chapter 1 to 2, she does what she thinks is right (not what she's told), she's the main source of humor in the fun gang, and while there's romantic undertones with all of Kris's relationships, susie is the most liked and likes everyone else equally if we go off of their tea stats. (she has the same results for everyone else's tea except her own! ). I think she's really similar to undyne and I'm calling it now the final fight in the game is going to be us (controlling kris) vs her and all of kris friends (except for ralsei...I don't know whether ralsei would be on our side or Susie's..) in an effort to save Kris from us.

I also just love her scene with toriel at the end of chapter two and the scene where she tells noelle she's dreaming. Ralsei may be the fluffy boy but istg susie is the emotional core of the game, she may be down to clown and kind of a murder hobo but by god does she love her friends. Also she has a tail that wags when she's happy and that gives her a million billion points for ever and ever.

I just rewatched the first ep of c3 cause of reasons and I need to know if Laura decided that Imogen was going to be in love with Laudna from the start.

I want to know when, how, why… was it pre-campaign, was there a moment throughout? when did it happen and when did imogen realize… cause, let’s be real. This was imogen heart-eyes temult on the literal first episode of the campaign:

Like, can you BE any more infatuated with your best friend who's also been your bedmate for two years and ongoin, that happens to have musical thoughts (opposed to everyone else's noise that hurts you) and that you chose to run away with cause she made you feel peace for the first time after a very long time?

We've always seen Lizzy with curls but her hair is actually straight.

My question aims at who curled her hair while she was with r!Ciel? And dress her up and stuff? Probably she had to do all that by herself? That's why she's not wearing fancy dresses but pajamas?

I know it's stupid but I have so many questions. We know there's a butler among the stars but I don't think that's the answer. Am I complicating the lore for nothing?
