ExHusband!Simon x Reader
You Want a Divorce? (Two)
Note: I feel like this is so bad im sorry!!!!
CW: Angst, titty sucking, passionate asf sex, simon missed ur pussy and you very much and vise versa, breeding kink, PIV (no protection, pls use it irl), squirting, simon eats the FUCK out of ur pussy, multiple orgasms, praise, hint of degradation, possessive!simon, OVERSTIMULATION, slight daddy kink… sorry
Part One
It was a quiet ride, the subtle sweeps of cars fleeting by as Simon gripped the wheel, eyes trailing off to the side to look at you briefly. Your head was leaned against the window, your knees knocking together anxiously as your daughter babbled in the back, cooing about how Mummy and Daddy were now back together.
You tried to hide the shed of tears that filtered across your iris, every small childish mumble like a stab to the gut as you listened to the genuine happiness in her tone. You would turn around occasionally with a small smile as you reached out to tickle her foot, giggles filling the car.
Simon pulled in, the car bouncing slightly as it hit the gravel carpark, his hand swerving into a spot before he turned to the back. “You excited, baby?”
Ella’s face lit up as she fumbled to take off her seatbelt, “Get me, Daddy! Get me! I wanna see the lions!” It was refreshing knowing she still viewed Simon as her hero, no matter how distant he was in their lives. You knew that even though your ex-husband was rarely around, his time with them did everything it could to mend the time apart. Toby woke up at the commotion, the toddler having slept the whole way there despite his older sister’s constant bickering about what animals she had to see first.
Everything seemed to flash past you as you walked inside, the whir of kids and noise sending your brain into overdrive as your eyes flickered to Simon with Ella swinging around on his shoulders and Toby kicking his legs in the stroller. You looked away; breath shaky as you attempted to compose yourself. This was supposed to be a happy day, for all of you, yet seeing him with your children, something that was supposed to be normal, felt so distant and unknown. Gathering yourself, you plastered a fake smile, hands reaching out to pinch your son’s cheeks as you grabbed the stroller.
Your heart hammered in your chest for the remainder of the day, fingers tingling with anxiety that bled into your veins, consuming your lungs with what seemed like everything but oxygen. It was a series of squeals and commotions from your young ones, their elation evident through the bright glow of their face, soft red resting on the apples of their cheeks. As the day quieted down, Toby slumped in the stroller as you tucked him into the car seat, his new plush crocodile cradled into his arms, mouth wide open as subtle breaths snored out.
Ella was cradled into Simon’s shoulder, her shoes half hanging off as she clutched onto him, dead asleep. You settled into the ride home yet your anxiety only seemed to heighten. You were alone with Simon, with no kiddish voices to break the tension, brown orbs glaring into the side of your face.
“Should we talk about this morning?”
You scoffed. “You have some nerve asking to talk about this morning,” you screamed into a hush, “What you did was completely disrespectful. Not only did you break into my house and kick my date out, but you left our kids in the car! What the fuck were you thinking?”
He cleared his throat, almost like he wanted to hold back how he felt. You noticed the white in his knuckles as he gripped the wheel, right eye twitching as he stared at the squiggles of tar ahead. “I don’t want our kids growing up thinking it’s normal for parents to separate. They need their mum and dad together, y/n.”
The world silenced for a second, the screams of the wind rushing past you seemed to slow as your voice cracked, seeps of emotion pouring out as you choked on your breath, “Then you should have fought for your family, Simon. There is no us anymore, it’s just them. They’re all that connects us now.”
You felt like all the ivory had been sucked out of your eyes, endless pits of your pupil consuming you whole, blurring your vision with fog as you blinked, hot streams of liquid salt spilling onto your cheeks, brimming at the cracks of your lips as you sniffled. You could feel his hesitation as he looked at you.
His words regurgitated in his throat as he stammered, tangled limbs reaching out to grip yours as you pulled away.
“Just drop us home.”
Your eyes had dried now, soft stains of bare skin caving through your foundation as you smudged your fingers against it. Simon stuttered as he pulled up to the driveway, tyres screeching to a halt as you sat in silence.
The soft strum of fingers caught your attention as you turned around, the innocent face of Toby looking back at his parents, tongue blabbing out of his mouth. “Dadda! You have dinner?”
“No, sport. Daddy’s gotta go-“
“Yeah, baby. Daddy will have dinner with us.”
You blinked at your own words, Simon’s surprised expression meeting yours. The wrench in your heart would never subside, the entirety of the beating organ still belonging to your ex-husband, but being a mother was a sacrifice. And you would sacrifice yourself in every existence you become one if it meant your children didn’t have to battle the same internal wounds.
“They’re tucked in,” Simon said, voice soft as he noticed your withered body in the couch. Your hair was messy now, strands spitting out as you anxiously tucked them back in, smoothing them down with the dampness of your palms as you ran around all night, ushering to the demands of your children.
“Thank you.”
You felt ill, your tongue cascading down your throat as you palmed at your knees, desperate for him to leave yet desperate for him to stay. Simon stilled, keys jangling in his hand before he sat down next to you, his weight disrupting the couch as he shuffled around.
“I need you to know that I did want to fight for you, y/n. I have counted every single day since you handed me those papers, waiting by my phone every single night on deployment hoping for you to text me, call me, fuck - blow my phone up. I never wanted the temporary absence that we had apart become permanent. Everything I said,” he breathed, voice cracking slightly as he looked away, “Everything I said on October 6th, 7 years ago, I meant. You weren’t supposed to get away from me - I shouldn’t have - I shouldn’t have let you get away from me.”
It was strange. Simon was never one for feelings, the brutality of his job allowed for any harsh emotions to crack through his fingers as he pulled a trigger, any dampness of tears would sweat through his skin as he pummelled a blade into an enemies head.
But it was you. And you weren’t violent, or any enemy, you were his wife, the person he vowed his entirety too.
Your anxious cascade cracked as you whimpered out a sob, chest heaving as you buried your face, tight with tears, into the pillows of your hands. You felt warmth spread through you, the texture of Simon’s fingers burning through you like wildfire, every ember he felt scorching through your flesh as he pulled you in.
Arms tangled together, intwining like wool as he wrapped you into his chest nimbly. A zephyr ran through you, your wrists clutched in his hands as you straddled him, the weight of you feeling like the grandest treasure upon him.
It was nothing strange, nor sexual but Simon recognised that cry, the differing pitch as you shuffled your frame into his. Simon knew you like the back of his hand, every crevice, every crease, every scar. He knew your backstory, and the one you made up to impress people. He knew the hex of the colour of your eyes and the print of your thumb. No papers would take that away from him.
Soaked eyelashes clumped into one as you looked up at him, orbs resembling once of a doe, innocence seeping through every inch of a salt-stained tear. His eyes met yours, apertures of cocoa reflecting your weary frame as you gripped onto him.
“Let me come home, please.”
Simon’s voice was desperate, it was raw, any shed of arrogance erased through the lines, eyebrows knotted together as he rubbed at the small of your back.
Your nod was subtle, but he could practically hear it, calloused hands gripping at the plush of your cheek and seeping through the tip of your spine, thumb rubbing at your earlobe as he clutched onto you.
Hot, seething pricks ran through your limbs as your lips connected, saline lining your mouth as he lapped at the heat of your tongue, rough groans leaving his lips as he savoured the taste.
Any diffidence left your body as familiarity sunk back into you. Hands pawed at the globe of your ass, gripping the flesh as anguished limbs wrapped around Simon’s waist.
With an easy tug, he lifted you, your hands wrapping around his neck as he pulled you in closer, teeth kissing. You never questioned Simon’s strength, and you wouldn’t start now as you felt your back hit your mattress.
He tugged at his shirt, the black fabric pooling on the floor as you sucked in a breath. Your eyes traced every scar, lighter flesh engraved into the skin of his torso, a short trail of hair disappearing into his pants as you stared at his burly physique.
Simon gripped at your shirt, the material practically ripping before his hands were at your chest, grabbing at your flesh desperately as you tangled your fingers into your bra, sliding it off. His mouth was hot on your chest, the sound of moans and pants filling the air as he positioned himself between your legs, teeth grazing the hard nubs, sucking with fervour as you whined, your hand at the base of his head, cradling it.
“Missed these so fucking much,” he practically whined, groping your tits as he pinched your nipples, lips sucking deep marks of possession into the soft skin. Your pants were desperate, begging him for more as you pulled his hair, fingernails clawing at his scalp.
Your hands fumbled with your pants, hips raising as he slid them off, clumsy fingers chucking them across the room as you laughed, lips connecting once more in a giggly state as his thumb pushed against the wetness of your panties.
“Missed how fucking wet you got for me. Such a good fucking girl,” he groaned, fingers rubbing at your heat through the thin cloth eliciting a pained moan from you.
“Simon - I need more, been so long.”
He choked out a laugh as his fingers hooked into the fabric, lace dribbling down your leg before he mewled at the sight of you. His hands held your thighs apart, your soaking cunt on display as it throbbed, slick folds glistening in the poor lighting.
“Prettiest fucking pussy,” he choked out to himself, placing your legs over his shoulder as he knelt down. Your back arched as you felt his tongue lick a long stripe of your pussy, his body seething for a taste of you as his lips found your neglected clit.
He lapped at you mercilessly, your cries and moans moulding into one with the filthy squelches of his mouth against your heat. Long digits circled your entrance, teasing you, before they curled in.
Your eyes rolled, pools of ivory exposed as you let out a guttural moan, your thighs tightening around his ears as he smirked against your pussy. Cocky fingers rubbed at the right spot, favouring the clench of your tight hole as he pulled every noise he could get from you.
You were barely cohesive as he lapped at your slick, the throbbing of your clit edging him on as he soothed your g-spot with the pad of his fingers. The coil you had only ever felt with Simon began to build, the familiar sensation pooling in your stomach as you stuttered out a whimper.
“Si- too much - I’m gonna-“
“That’s it baby,” he cooed, pulling away from your pussy for a second to take in your expression as you came, your face contorted with pleasure as your legs jerked, pussy wrapping tighter around his abusing digits as he fucked you through it with them. You looked down at him, saliva and your slick coating his mouth and chin as he grinned.
You stammered out a groan as his mouth attached back on your pussy, slurping up your liquid gold as you attempted to push his head away in overstimulation.
“Oh my- fuck - Simon - too much,” you whimpered your words commanding him to continue as he guzzled around your clit, teeth grazing the sensitive bud as your legs shook uncontrollably.
It wasn’t long before the continuation from your previous orgasm rose again, heat swarming your lower belly as you screamed out, your hand slapping over your mouth as you felt Simon’s spare hand wrap around your thigh, squeezing tightly.
You pulled at his hair, tugging at the ashy roots before you were gushing around his fingers and tongue again, sloshing liquids soaking your sheets as he groaned at the taste, mouth lapping it up with vigour. You whined in humiliation, the overwhelming pleasure becoming too much as you heaved.
“Si - no more -“
“I’m sorry baby, too fucking good. Will never get enough of your pussy.”
His words were filthy yet only held the truth, his continuous slurps against your heat causing your body to jerk as you relentlessly bucked your hips. Simon’s abuse continued on your pussy, your pussy gushing and coming another 6 times before he was satisfied, the sheet under you drenched in both your slick and squirt as Simon milked your overwhelmed cunt, claiming he was “making up for the months lost”.
You were dry heaving, throat dry as he captured your lips in a kiss, the taste of you infiltrating into your glands as you groaned, his hands reaching to tug at your breasts as he took in your fucked out state, legs jiggling and twitching as your pussy convulsed at the number of orgasms he dragged out of you.
You felt like you had been lying here for hours, yet you weren’t satisfied. You would only be content when he was inside you, stretching you to the brim as he pumped a load inside your worn-out hole.
“Simon - please - I can’t… I need you now,” you were practically crying, tears shedding at the brim of your eyes, bottom lip jutting out as he tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear, slicking back the sweat on your forehead.
“I know baby, done so well for Daddy, hm? Even after all that you still need to be plugged full of me don’t you?”
You nodded as a harsh slap landed against your clit, your body jolting as you squeaked. “Yes, please,” you cried, “Please Daddy.”
His hands were like clockwork, tearing at his jeans as they released his cock, a satisfied groan leaving his body as he gripped at the tent in his pants, a sticky wet patch soaking the material before his length throbbed out, angry tip slapping his stomach as a trail of precum glistened against the base of his cock.
His dick was flushed red, begging for release as he ran it through the squelch of your sopping folds, rubbing against your manipulated clit as you moaned.
Your hands gripped his head as he leant down to kiss you, his arm holding him up while the other positioned himself at your entrance. He stilled for a moment, cock almost pressing in before he whispered, “I love you.”
“I love you.”
The words were soft yet meaningful, your eyes interlocked as he began to push inside, your mouth gasping open as you clutched onto his shoulders. It was hard when you were together all those years to get accustomed to his frightening length, and now it had been a year and the stretch was searing through you.
“I know, sweet girl, you can take it. Such a tight cunt for me, so fucking good.”
Fingernails clawed at his back as he pushed in, your whines muffled by the palm of his hand as he held himself up his elbows. “Holy fuck,” he spluttered as he bottomed out, his lips connecting to your neck as he sucked, resting inside you for a second as you whimpered.
The burn slowly faded as you rutted against him impatiently, the tip of his cock resting against your sweet spot as you gasped.
“So fucking impatient, always been such a slut for me. Haven’t you?”
You nodded, whining as he began to move, moving his hips slowly as he rubbed inside you perfectly, your mouth wide open as your head lolled back. A series of expletives tipped from your tongue as you choked on the air, Simon’s pace picking up at your dramatic noises.
“Fuck - taking me so well-“ he grunted, hands groping at your tits as he watched your pussy absorb his length. It was an obscene sight and he loved it. Every fibre of your being belonged to him and it was something he constantly craved.
“All fucking mine - shit - my fucking pussy,” he grunted, thumb rubbing at your clit as you mewled, twitching below him as he spat, “my fucking wife - got the tightest fucking cunt just for me.”
You clenched around him at his words, knowing it was true as his balls slapped against your ass, skin spanking against each other as the sound filled the room, ecstasy roaring through both of your veins as you made love.
The squelch of your pussy was taboo as he lapped in the missed sound. His eyes took in the way your body reacted to every movement, no matter how small. He took in the way your breasts bounced with each thrust, lower stomach bulging as he pounded into you.
“Fuck - Simon - oh my God,” your words were a mere blabber, barely making sense as you clutched onto him, pulling him down to meet your lips.
“I can’t pull out, baby - fuck - gotta cum in this pretty pussy. Give you another kid, hm? - shit -“
His hips didn’t falter as his pace fastened, chasing his own high as he rubbed at your clit, your breaths growing shallow as your orgasm began to build. “Gonna fill you with my cum until it takes. Need your belly round again and your tits full - such a good fucking mum, makes me so fucking proud.”
His words were the final straw as the build up in your stomach popped, your whole body convulsing as your pussy clenched around him, a loud groan leaving his throat before you felt the hot splashes of his cum pumping inside you.
“That’s it baby, milk my cock. Such a good fucking girl for Daddy, gonna break you apart everyday on my cock until you never forget who you belong too.”
He didn’t pull out immediately, his cum plugged inside you as some seeped out, rolling down the crevice of your ass below you. Your eyes shut, gentle pants leaving your lips as you felt Simon’s absence before a soft cloth was wiped gently across your sex and masculine arms were gripping onto you, carrying you into the guest room before engulfing you into a thrill of heat, Simon’s chest against your back as you fell asleep.

Part 1
༻✦༺ ༻✧༺ ༻✦༺
Matt sighed deeply as he parked his car at an abandoned gas station. He closed his eyes tightly as his index finger and thumb pinched the bridge of his own nose. His body was completely tense, as if someone had thrown a sack of potatoes over his shoulders and hadn't removed it until now.
The boy reopened his eyes seconds later, looking vacantly at the pitch black surrounding him before seeing out of the corner of his eye his phone screen light up for the thousandth time, alerting him of a new notification. He picked up the device, unlocking it and scrolling through the notifications bar.
His heart seemed to stop pumping blood to his body instantly, his face taking on a pale color as he saw more than 20 new messages and thousands of missed voice calls coming from Chris.
His brain seemed to go on red alert as his mind screamed Y/N's name, and then he finally revisited the memory of what he did to his own girlfriend just over an hour ago, the smoky fog finally dissipating from behind his eyes.
Matt felt like his chest was burning while his heart accelerated strongly. His arms momentarily lost strength, almost dropping his phone.
His eyes flicked through the messages before tossing the device onto the passenger seat, turning the key in the ignition and driving back.
He stepped on the accelerator with full force, exceeding all permitted limits and passing all red lights. He knew he would wake up the next day with a new ticket - or several -, but that was his last concern at that moment.
His orbs were fixed on the road, his brow furrowed as his mind rattled off the words he threw at his girl, his precious girl. If he could, Matt would go back in time right then and there, so he wouldn't break his promise to never hurt and abandon her.
Matt turned his steering wheel abruptly when their house appeared on his eyesight, slamming the break in front of the garage door, wasting no time in parking correctly. His hands quickly unlocked the doors, throwing his body out of the driver's seat and slamming it behind him, the dull thud echoing through the lonely night.
The boy's hands shook as he fumbled for the front door key, cursing under his breath each time it seemed to slip through his fingers.
Finally, after a few long seconds, he was able to open it, closing it slowly so as not to wake Nick, not wanting to involve another person in his huge mistake.
His steps were quick down the stairs, stopping in front of the familiar white door. The boy took a deep breath before turning the handle, pushing it slightly.
Matt's eyes met Y/N quickly, pain hitting his heart like a stake at seeing her in such a vulnerable state; Her eyes - despite being closed - were swollen and her face was wet from the last tears she shed before falling asleep.
A rude sound caught his attention, his gaze meeting Chris's, who stood up from his chair abruptly. His eyes held a fury that Matt didn't remember ever seeing before, while his shoulders were tense with nervousness.
Before Matt could utter a word, Chris pulled the collar of his shirt, bringing his face closer to his own. Chris's nostrils were flared from his heavy breathing, hitting Matt's face.
"If Jimmy was here, you'd be dead. That's no way to treat a woman." Chris rasped, his voice low but full of anger. "Fix your mistakes, or I'll end you."
He pulled away, roughly letting go of Matt's shirt, watching him with his right eyebrow raised and crossed arms, waiting for his next move.
Matt swallowed hard, biting his bottom lip hard, feeling the sensation of crying rise through his veins. He quickly turned his back on Chris, walking over to his brother's bed with tentative steps.
His hands lightly pulled the duvet down, exposing the fragile body covered in the pink sweatshirt set. Matt hooked his arms under Y/N's neck and knees, pulling her up carefully, watching her eyes move beneath her eyelids quickly. A sign of a nightmare.
Matt hugged her closer to his body, walking past his brother with his head down in shame, leaving the room and going up the stairs slowly, not wanting to wake her with every movement of each step.
Upon arriving in their respective bedroom, the boy took her to the bed, placing her body gently on the soft mattress.
"M-Matty?" The fragile voice echoed like lightning in Matt's chest.
Matt sighed, closing his eyes tightly as he crouched down, getting into a squatting position. The boy rested his arms on the mattress, bringing his face slightly closer to hers, watching her eyes slowly open.
"You came back. I thought you left me." Y/N whispered, her lips trembling as her eyes filled with fresh tears. "Would you really leave me?"
Matt felt his heart being crushed by her words, his cheeks burning, as if he had been slapped. He swallowed hard, mentally calling himself every worst name possible.
"No, no, no, baby! I would never leave you-" He shook his head repeatedly, his brow furrowing in such a way that he was sure it would leave marks.
You already did.
"But... You said you'd stay forever, and then you left me out in the cold, alone." A sob escaped Y/N's lips, her weak body shaking incessantly. "What did I do? Why would you do that to me?"
Matt felt his own eyes filling with tears, blinking them quickly to ward off the tears. The boy bent over his girl, hugging her head gently, stroking her hair with his fingers.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, my love. I fucked up. Badly." An ugly sob escaped Matt's throat, cutting off his sentence. He closed his eyes tightly, the taste of his tears touching his tongue. "I love you so much, I'm so fucking sorry. I know that this doesn't change my actions, and trying to find a plausible explanation for why I acted that way won't erase what I did." His eyes travel across Y/N's features, seeing an ocean of hurt in her eyes. "If I could, I would go back and remake our day all over again."
He paused momentarily, swallowing hard.
"All the work we are getting with the 6 million and the new things on the channel has taken a toll on me. I missed you so much, Y/N, you have to believe me. I don't know what's gotten into me, I just got so upset because I wasn't seeing you as much as before. God, I was so selfish." Matt shook his head, biting his bottom lip hard. "I love you, and I never want to hurt you, not again. I was on the wrong, I fucked up with you."
His hands shook as they found her cheeks, caressing the wet skin.
"I'm so sorry." His voice now was a mere whisper, pain present in his tone.
"I-I understand. I also made a mistake, I should have warned you that I had to work overtime and... Give you space, I know I can be a lot sometimes. I never wanted you to come pick me up out of pity or obligation-"
Matt shook his head repeatedly, silencing her by guiding her head slightly so that she looked him in the eyes. His fingers working to brush the loose hair from her face.
"Don't say that. Please. You did nothing wrong. I love taking care of you as I take you to work and pick you up... It was my fault. I was an asshole, a terrible boyfriend, I- fuck..." He presses his lips into a thin line, stopping the sob that was about to come out. "I left you alone, what the hell was I thinking?"
"It's okay." Y/N whispers, lowering her eyes to the mattress, feeling her chest burn in pain from seeing him so distressed.
"Shh, no. It isn't okay." Matt denies it, his fingers touching Y/N's chin lightly, forcing her to look at him again. "I don't fucking deserve your forgiveness." He was pleading with his eyes for her to understand that she was not the one to be blamed.
Y/N nods while sniffling, closing her eyes as she feels her fingers caress her face as if she were made of porcelain.
"I love you. So much." Matt says. His hands cup her face, bringing his own closer, touching their noses in an eskimo kiss. "I love you. I love you. I love you." He repeated it like a mantra, sighing when he felt his girlfriend's ragged breaths so close to his. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Fuck, baby, I'm so sorry."
Their faces were equally wet with tears.
"It's okay, I'll forgive you at some point. Just... Don't ever do it again. Please." Y/N plead in a vulnerable whisper, half opening her eyes, before closing them again as she feels Matt's lips caress hers.
"Never, I'll never do anything like that again. I promise. I'll take care of you forever." He assured, nodding his head. "What can I do? How... What can I do to make you forgive me?" His tone was full of despair.
Y/N pondered momentarily, her heart beating heavily in her chest. Her hands snaked across the duvet until they reached Matt's wrists, wrapping her fingers gently around them. She pushed her head forward, lightly bumping her nose against his, touching their lips almost imperceptibly.
"Make love with me. Show me how sorry you are. Show me how much you love me, Matt. Please." She begged softly, her eyelashes caressing her cheeks as her eyelids fluttered, hiding her orbs.
Matt felt his breathing stop, his mind seeming to process what she asked. He curved his spine higher up the mattress, sealing his lips on Y/N's quickly, before pulling away, but not enough to lose the warmth of his face against his own.
"Are you sure? I don't want to take advantage of your vulnerability." His tone, despite being anxious, had hints of hesitation, not wanting to invade his girl's space after such a traumatic event.
"Please, Matty. I need to feel you. I need you to love me." Thick tears rolled down Y/N's cheeks, her tone full of anguish and lust, a strange mix, but one that matched perfectly at that moment.
Matt didn't blink, pushing himself up off the floor before kneeling on the mattress, helping Y/N lift her upper body.
He rested his right hand on the bed while his left one gently held his girl's jaw, as if she was made of glass and could break at any moment.
The boy brought his face closer to hers again, taking her lips in an intense kiss. His blue eyes closed at the sensation, his warm tongue caressing Y/N's bottom lip, asking for entry, which was quickly granted.
Their tongues started a beautiful dance, the taste of tears mixed with saliva. Whimpers escaped Y/N's throat, her hands flying to the back of Matt's neck, lightly tugging at the curly strands.
Matt moved nimbly onto the duvet, kneeling between his girl's legs and using both of his hands to guide her down, squeezing the spot below her breasts, just above her ribs, so that her back lay against the mattress again.
He bent his torso over Y/N's chest, keeping his weight supported on his right hand while his left one caressed her cheek, never once breaking the kiss.
Y/N snaked her hands around Matt's shoulders, squeezing the tense muscles caused by his position, desperate for contact.
Her fingers went down her boyfriend's abdomen like warm water, grabbing the hem of his t-shirt, pulling it up slowly. Matt broke the kiss for a second, allowing her to pull the piece of clothing off his body.
His large hands worked on ripping off Y/N's hoodie gently, admiring every bit of her exposed skin, and mentally thanking her for being braless.
He dropped the heavy piece to the floor, lowering his spine again and sealing her lips, their tongues now in a slower pace, pain giving way to love.
Matt ran his right hand down Y/N's breasts, caressing her nipples just momentarily, before moving further down, trailing his fingertips across her stomach and navel, leaving a trail of goosebumps behind.
He touched the waistband of her sweatpants lightly, breaking the kiss momentarily to draw in air, which filled his lungs like water on dry ground. His eyes wandered over the girl's hopeful expression, taking that as a go-ahead.
Y/N lifted her head from the mattress slightly, pressing their mouths together again, craving the contact.
Matt smiled against her sensitive lips, finally running his hand through the layers of clothes, moving down until he found Y/N's pleasure point.
His fingers rubbed circles around the already swollen clit, receiving nasal sighs from the girl below him, who raised her hips in search of more contact.
He took his fingers further down, slipping a finger between her folds, her wetness helping him to move better. He gathers a bit of it before slowly introducing two digits.
Matt pulled his lips away from Y/N, his blue eyes traveling over her features contorted in pleasure as she felt his long fingers going deep inside her. He felt like he could admire her like that forever; cheeks flushed from all the crying and pleasure, mouth slightly open - from where gasps and sighs escaped -, brow furrowed and eyes closed.
That was his private paradise.
"Matt, please." Her voice came out in a faint whisper, a silent plea for more.
The boy didn't take long, lifting himself onto the mattress to have greater access, dragging the sweatpants and panties down his girl's legs slowly, not wanting to hurt or rush her.
He removed his own pants and boxers, returning to his initial position between his girlfriend's legs. Matt lowered his torso, spreading small, wet seals across her belly toward her breasts.
His hands gently held Y/N's heels, pushing them so that she bent her knees and placed the soles of her feet on the mattress, opening her legs wider.
A breathy moan escaped the girl's lips as Matt gently kissed one of her nipples, the slightly chilled air of the room hitting the saliva on her hot skin, goosebumps rising through her body as a result.
"Is it good, baby? I'm making you feel good, hm?" Matt questions knowingly. "Y'so pretty. Even when you cry. My pretty girl."
He stroked the skin between the valley of her breasts with the tip of his nose, before moving up further, managing to see Y/N nod her head repeatedly in response, her cheeks wet from her tears.
Matt pressed his forehead to hers, their heavy breaths mixing as he looked down momentarily, taking his cock in his right hand, pumping it a few times, a wince escaping his lips at the sensation.
His blue eyes met hers, silently asking if he could continue. In response, Y/N's right hand snaked up his torso towards the small of his back, pressing down lightly, while her left hand squeezed the biceps of his occupied one.
Matt lowered his hips, brushing his red tip between her folds. He moved his hips gently, slowly pushing into her. A unison moan escaped both of their lips, Y/N closing her eyes tightly at the feeling of invasion while Matt kept his open, taking note of her every expression.
The boy eventually started picking up his pace, going with slow and shallow thrusts, sighs escaping his mouth, accompanied by breathy moans from Y/N.
"Matt- Oh." Her mouth opened in a perfect O as she felt Matt hit a specific spot inside her that made her see stars. "D-don't stop. Please."
"I won't, my love. I'll never let you go. Never again." Matt promised, his hips moving to deepen his thrusts.
Tears fell from Y/N's eyes due to the overwhelming sensations, the weight of the previous events still hurting in her heart, mixing with the immense pleasure that the boy was presenting her.
Matt sealed each of her tears with his lips, whispering sweet nothings and little apologies, along with huge declarations of love.
A sob escaped Y/N's mouth, her teeth working to clamp down on her lower lip in an attempt to stop the loud, ugly sounds from keep escaping.
"Hey, hey, sweet girl. I'm here for you. You're so important, the best girl out there. I love you so much... M'so sorry." He murmured against her lips lightly, his own heart aching with each tear that fell her pretty eyes. "Do you want me to stop, sweetheart?"
"N-no, please. I need you, I need to feel you." Y/N responded desperately, shaking her head, lifting her head off the mattress and sealing their lips in a messy kiss.
"It's okay, it's alright." Matt responded gently against her mouth. "I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere."
His movements never stopped, Matt alternated the rhythm between slow and deep, reaching places inside Y/N never reached before, feeling her hot, spongy walls pressing him into a delicious tightness.
"Oh fuck, fuck, fuck." Y/N moaned against Matt's chin, their faces moving messily against each other from the now faster movements. "P-please." She cried.
"I love you so much, so fucking much." Matt panted back, fucking her with a little more urgency, chasing her and his own orgasm.
It didn't take more than five thrusts, and Y/N felt her entire body tremble, her legs instinctively wanting to close - being blocked by Matt's hips - while her belly contracted. Her chest rose slightly from the mattress as her spine arched from the intense pleasure that hit her.
Her eyes saw little stars as she rolled them tightly, Matt's name escaping her lips like a mantra.
The sight and feeling of his girl's body shaking against his brought Matt's orgasm to the surface, hitting him hard. A moan escaped his throat as he buried himself deep inside her pussy, feeling his cock throbbing against the walls that seemed to want to crush him.
Matt pressed his nose against Y/N's cheek, breathing in her scent as he felt the sensations of his orgasm slowly subside.
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." Y/N whispered, still in a post-orgasm trance, her eyes closed and her breathing ragged, her legs still having small spasms.
Matt kept his eyes fixed on her face, watching her come down slowly, rubbing his thumbs on her hipbones to ground her.
"Y'with me, babe? S'all for you, my love. Always." Matt slurred, pressing his lips against his girl's warm, flushed cheek. His left hand went up her body to her face, wiping away the traces of tears. "I'm so sorry, petal." He asked again, his chest still aching.
"S'okay, I forgive you." She nodded, kissing his left shoulder lightly, her eyes heavy with sleep from exhaustion and excessive crying.
"I'm going to fill the bathtub and give you a relaxing bath, okay? M'gonna take care of you, sweet girl." Matt spoke softly, moving his hips slowly, taking his cock out of her, receiving a small sound of discomfort in response. "Shh. I know baby, I know." He whispered. "I'm gonna grab some snacks from the kitchen, so you can eat while I wash your body. How does that sound, pretty girl? Hm?"
"S'good. Please." Her voice came out in an almost incomprehensible whisper, her eyelids serving as curtains for her heavy eyes. She could feel her head floaty and her heart beating in a rhythmic rhythm, her skin warm with euphoria.
Matt sealed her forehead with his lips for long seconds, closing his eyes and breathing in the natural scent of Y/N's skin.
He still felt the guilt eating him alive, promising himself he would never again let his emotions get the best of him. He would take care of her, his best girl.

WHEN YOU FANTASIZE, AM I YOUR FANTASY?
!: sfw, a bit of morally grey! Ellie, infidelity.
?: Ellie can’t seem to leave Jesse’s girlfriend alone..
Ellie is not a bad person, she swears she isn’t.
“You have a nice lip shape..” you murmur absentmindedly, smudging out the lipgloss on the sides of Ellie’s ajar mouth with your thumb, eyes looking anywhere but directly up at where you hover over her. This feels sweetly intimate, she thinks, palms directly on your sides as she steadies you on her lap, pretty much since you need a comfortable position to apply products onto her face; The room is warm, rainfall falling lightly on the windowsill rhythmically as the dim lampshade casts a golden hue on your face.
Her eyes finally fall on you and she hopes you don’t notice the slight dilation in her ivy orbs, her affection for you running rampant while Jesse’s game echos where he lounges in the living room a few rooms away from where you two currenly sat in her bedroom— on her bed.
She liked you, you had spunk that none of Jesse’s previous girlfriends had; more importantly, you actually acknowledged her existence living with him, rather than seeing her as a nuisance or a 3rd wheel, always making her feel involved when you two would just chat it up.
Guilt gnawed at her heartstrings whenever you’d go out of your way to be polite to her, often times shushing Jesse when he’d interrupt whatever she had to say, your undivided attention on her as you closely listened to her, even scooting closer.
She practically went to bed with you on her mind; and god, was her appetite and both jealousy maxed out on the nights you would sleep over, perversely having her ear up against the door while you and Jesse fooled around, closing her eyes and imagining it was her around your arms and not her longtime friend.
When her fingers slowly trail up to your baby blue, lacy bralette, you’re pulling away slightly, making small distance,
“Ellie, we’ve talked about this—
“You don’t even like him like that.” She immediately retorts, croak in her throat expanding when you don’t allow her to get anymore closer than she already is. She looks nothing short of pathetic right now and she knows it— you know it.
“Just one kiss..” She attempts to negotiate, eyes pooling with desperation, “I can’t move on fast, you know this..”
She’s down-bad to the point she doesn’t even see the corner she’s put herself in; even if you were to potentially take up her offer and put an end to whatever was left of your relationship with Jesse, you’d still have to actively see him everyday. Lost in your thoughts, Ellie’s burying her head in your lap while you mindlessly run digits in her hair, massaging her tender scalp like you did all those nights you two spent together as you form a conclusion.
“and what about him?” You whisper, humoring the idea, but she doesn’t respond, eyes trained on the shadow moving underneath her door and additionally, way too comfortable in the warmth you held to give a response. She eventually mumbles something but it falls incoherent before she completely goes non-verbal, just focusing on the massaging of your honeyed fingertips.
It was a sickly sight, to say the least, and Jesse would agree.
He stands near the wall adjacent of Ellie’s bedroom door, heart racing as it all dawns on him why she’d been so fond of you and not the others. What he’d just witnessed through the small crack of her door has just completed changed everything, and yet explained it all at once.
A small part of him doesn’t blame Ellie, as he’d fallen for your charms too but, why specifically you? Why not the countless other girls she’s passed up under the guise of ‘not being for a relationship?’
His throat dries up as he, himself, comes to a bridge,
Was she truly not ready for a girlfriend, or was she just getting ready for his?
He stands defeated as he watches the one girl he’s ever liked have more of a connection with his bestfriend than he ever did with her; to add more salt to the wound, he finally notices,
she’s aware of his presence.
She doesn’t acknowledge it, simply letting you pet her like a docile pet while her relatively warm gaze burns into him, a telltale sign she’s trying to get the message across that she’s won whatever this was.
For sure, Ellie Williams was a bad person.

off limits (6) II a.putellas x león!reader
part one part two part three part four part five
off limits (6) II a.putellas x león!reader
"ale where are we going?" you laughed, leaning back into your seat more as your girlfriend sped down the highway. "stop asking me princesa, it is a surprise!" was all you got in return alongside a toothy grin as barcelona raced past her window in a blur.
you adored when alexia was in moods like this; so jovial and free spirited, lowering her stern serious facade and allowing a more bubbly and playful one to shine through.
as a friend, team mate, role model, footballer, sister, captain, lover she had many sides to her and you'd argue till you were blue in the face that some of those she reserved only for when it was the two of you, such as the childlike joy which currently oozed from her.
you'd only been back from training long enough to shower and change before she'd cornered you in her living room, grabbing your hand, twirling you and kissing her way softly up your arm, informing the two of you were to now go for a drive together.
you hadn't questioned it, well you hardly had time to before the taller girl had thrown you over her shoulder and smacked your ass, stating you needed warmer clothes as she tossed you down on her bed.
she'd shut up your questions then by throwing herself on top of you with a grin and peppering your face with kisses, biting your cheek playfully and murmuring in catalan that all would be revealed soon enough.
your heart soared to see her so carefree and happy that afternoon, the two of you bundling up a little more and leaving her apartment hand in hand. unable to show much affection all day you were both admittedly touch starved, making sure at all times that at least a centimeter of your skin pressed against the others.
alexia going as far as to challenge you to a race once you entered the carpark the two of you sprinted off laughing like children as you beat her there, rewarded by her pressing you against the vehicle and kissing you so hard it had stole the air from your lungs.
now as the two of you drove away to an unknown final destination you looked at her with a soft smile and hopelessly lovesick gaze.
her ever alluring and warm hazel orbs stayed hidden behind her most favorite pair of sunglasses. you once teased she liked them more than you when she'd tackled your sister to the ground to get them back as mapi stole them off her head after training one afternoon.
no one but the two of you knowing the truth behind your relationship at that stage you'd left separately, quickly meeting up at your apartment where you'd taken your turn to steal her glasses. the taller girl chasing you around and around till she'd finally caught and taken you down to the floor as well, your combined laughters filling the cosy atmosphere of her apartment.
grinning up at her you'd simply slipped the sunglasses on and pulled her down into a passionate kiss, pretending not to notice how eager she still was to take them off your eyes and hide them away in her pocket, not breaking the kiss for even a second as she did.
now back to your pining stare toward her in the drivers seat her pink hair fell down her shoulders in gentle waves, gradually fading back to blonde with each wash much to your insistent bothering that she should dye it pink again, but you knew you were fighting a losing battle.
the top of her head was tucked away beneath a black beanie, loose strands of hair whipping around in the wind from where her window was wound down. the late afternoon sun was glorious and bathed her in its golden glow, highlighting her tanned sun kissed skin and sharp jawline which as far as you were concerned could have been carved by the gods themselves.
her plump pink lips stayed curled into a cheeky grin, white pearly teeth flashing out at you as one hand stayed on your thigh and the other gripped the steering wheel.
at alexia's insistence you had on matching nike hoodies, hers a pale pink and yours a mint green, the midfielder ignoring your teasings about how cute it was that she wanted you two to match, shutting you up with a loving kiss.
"take a picture, it will last longer than staring at me bebita." the older girl smirked, her laughter bouncing around the car before being snatched away in the wind as you grabbed your phone and did exactly that.
"i am not staring, i am admiring my beautiful girlfriend." you retorted happily seeing a slight blush creep up her neck at your words, her eyes darting off the road for just a fleeting second to look at you, shining with a type of tender adoration she'd not felt warm her heart before you had turned her world upside down.
"okay amor put this on por favor, but backwards so you cannot see anything." alexia reached down beside her and handed you a bright pink balaclava. "why do you have this?" you'd laughed so much your stomach hurt, clutching at your aching abdomen muscles.
"it is albas! just put it on before we get there, i told you it was a surprise and you are going to ruin it!" alexia whined with a playful grumpy pout. you rolled your eyes but did as she asked, your girlfriend waving her free hand in front of your face a few times to check you really couldn't see.
"if you are taking me somewhere to murder me i must warn you that i have not written you into my will yet so you will get nothing." you'd smirked beneath the soft fabric of the balaclava hearing a raspy chuckle beside you.
"if i was going to murder you cariño it would not be for your money, i have more than enough of my own." alexia shook her head in amusement as you felt her take a few turns, the road a little bumpier now.
"okay la reina sorry i forgot you could just sell one of your millions of trophies. how much is a ballon d'or worth on the black market? if i make it out of this alive maybe i will just rob you. i have a balaclava now they will never know it was me." you mocked her, squirming as she pinched your leg for the teasing.
"are we nearly there?" you groaned, starting to feel a little ill as the car turned and bumped and you stayed in the dark. "si niña bonita, soon." her fingers interlocked with yours, bringing the back of your hand up to her mouth and kissing it sweetly, repeating the tender gesture over and over until finally you heard gravel crunching and cracking under the tyres and felt the car still, engine cutting off.
she let go of your hand as her door opened and closed, still unable to see you jumped as yours suddenly opened next, your girlfriend reaching over to unbuckle you. "can i take this off now?" you asked, alexia grabbing your hand before you could.
"almost." she helped you up and out of your seat, arms locked around your torso and helping you to walk, steadying you as you tripped a few times, her lips kissing your neck apologetically.
"joder." you hissed quietly with a wince as suddenly she yanked off the balaclava and sunlight pierced your eyes. "sorry." she mumbled with another kiss to your cheek this time, still wrapped tightly around you as her chin came to rest on your shoulder.
"oh alexia." you smiled in surprise as your vision adjusted, the two of you stood at the lookout of turó de la rovira, a 360 degree view of barcelona greeting your eyes.
golden hour almost over and the sun starting to set the sky had turned a soft coral, streaks of bright orange and yellow dashed across it like god was painting the sky just for the two of you.
"do you like it?" your girlfriend mumbled, hugging you even tighter as you nodded. "i love it, its beautiful. i have not been here since i was little." your smile was nostalgic and soft, alexia melting at the look of awe and wonder on your face.
"buena hermosa." alexia sighed happily, your hands finding hers and intertwining, her arms still tightly encasing you as the two of you watched the sunset together in a peaceful and comfortable silence.
in that moment you were certain that you'd never felt more loved by someone. never more appreciated and tenderly adored than by the tall catalan hugging you tightly and lazily kissing your jaw, whispering soft confessions of just how much she adored you over and over in your ear.
never in that moment did you once think things between the two of you would end up how they had right here right now.
"my contract is up this year with barca ale, and i will not be renewing it."
sat across from her in the physio room you watched your ex lovers heart physically break as you delivered the final blow, unveiling a secret which had haunted you for longer than you dared to dwell on.
"what do you mean you are not renewing it? I-" alexia struggled to get out her words as you looked on, eyes swirling with a storm of guilt, relief, pity and empathy. "barca is your home. you cannot go somewhere else!" she forced out, fists balled by her sides.
"that is why i am here so late, i just had my final meeting with jonatan about it. the decision is made alexia, there is no going back now." your voice was firm though not unkind, despite what was going on between the two of you this news was not something you would ever use as a means to make her feel guilty.
"no no no por favor amor por favor." within a second she had wedged her body back between your legs, clasping your face in her hands, tears welling up in her eyes.
"it is done, the lawyers were there and everything." your voice was barely above a whisper as you squeezed your eyes tightly shut, unable to bring yourself to look into her broken ones any longer. your heart felt like someone was closing it in a tight fist as you heard her try to stifle back her tears.
"oh ale." you sighed, wrapping your arms around her neck as she moved to push her face into your shoulder, her hands tightly gripping your hips as if she could hold you to stay there forever.
you held her for as long as she needed, there was more you wanted to explain but you knew she needed time to process what you'd already said.
you weren't even sure if you'd processed it yourself. there was still six more weeks of active games in between breaks, and you would still be on the team for each one of those.
but the fact that after that this would no longer be your home, no more would you don the infamous red and blue colours of your team, surrounded by girls who you looked at like family, was a terrifying prospect you refused to think about just yet.
"sorry." alexia mumbled, pulling herself away and wiping her nose, the two of you letting go as she moved to sit back on the bench opposite you.
"where will you go?" she questioned quietly after she'd taken a moment to compose herself, embarrassment now joining the boiling pot of emotions bubbling up inside her. "that is the other thing." you exhaled deeply, shifting uncomfortably at the rest of your news as alexia frowned curiously.
"i won't." you started simply, fiddling with your hands in your lap. "i do not understand." alexia's frown deepened as you sighed again, forcing yourself to look away from the floor and back into her eyes.
"i am not moving to any other team ale, after this season i am retiring from football all together."
"que? why?" was all the older girl could manage to spit out, her head a spinning mess of questions and thoughts and feelings, all far too dizzying for her to make sense of any of it.
"because of me?" she followed up quietly, daring to allow her eyes to look at you for a moment before they moved to look at the wall beside your head. "not completely, i promise there is much more to it than that." you answered honestly.
"but what happened with us is a part of it." alexia stated more than questioned as you nodded, now the one to push yourself off the bench, moving to stand in front of her and gently grabbing her hands as she flinched momentarily in surprise.
"i love barcelona more than life. i love living here, i love that my friends and family are all here, i love how it has been playing football and a name for myself here, and I will always be a culer till the day I die-" you started softly, squeezing her hands to get the girl to look at you.
"-which is why i could never play for another team. but i would be lying if i said just because i love living here doesn’t mean it feels like home here anymore alexia, because you were a big part of that feeling and now you are gone from it." you forced out, hating the way her face fell at your words.
"i am not gone, i am right here!" alexia whispered desperately. "then why does it feel like you are so far away?" you smiled sadly, knowing your words would hurt her but needing her to hear them none the less.
"a part of me will always love you alexia. but that same part aches that as much as I love you, you are not mine to love anymore." you paused to take a shaky breath, hands still tightly holding onto hers.
"like i said i am so tired. i am so tired of fighting with you, arguing with my sister, feeling angry all the time is exhausting. and so is being unsure how to fix and mend relationships which mean so much to me, while still trying to get over how much it hurt for them to break in the first place." you poured your heart out honestly.
"football has always meant a lot to me but i need more, i crave something out of life that football can no longer give me. and i promise i was thinking about that before anything happened with us." you spoke sincerely, again not wanting her to blame herself for a decision that held a lot more meaning to you than you were currently able to explain.
"i hope that with some time and some distance to grow maybe we can be friends again one day ale, I know you will always be in my sisters life as her best friend and she will need you when i leave." you smiled, wiping away a stray tear which threatened to fall.
"you have not told her?" alexia asked, struggling to process what you were saying, struggling to breath as with each word you spoke the room seemed to feel smaller and smaller.
"no, not yet. and i am trusting you one last time not to tell her about this, not to tell anyone. i will tell them when i am ready and in my own way." you requested, again squeezing her hands gently in yours as she nodded.
"i cannot change your mind, can i?" she returned it with an equally sad smile of her own. "no, nobody can." you confirmed, letting go of her and taking a step back.
"but if barcelona is not your home anymore, then where do you plan to go?"
~
"hola." mapi looked up in surprise as you stood in front of her, already changed after training with your bag slung over your shoulder ready to go.
"hola hermana." your sister greeted slowly, taken aback by the casual nature of your approach, not having properly spoken to her for well over a week now.
"would you and ingrid want to come over for dinner?" you asked with a raised eyebrow, the norweigen sat a few lockers away glancing over hearing her voice, tapping aitana's leg signalling she was no longer listening as the girl spoke with her.
"tonight?" mapi asked, eyes wide in shock as your own rolled. "no next week. si maria, tonight." you replied much more curtly, tapping your foot impatiently when you didn't receive an answer.
"we will be there." ingrid answered you with a soft smile when her girlfriend didn't. "buena, come over whenever." you sent her a smile and shrugged then with that you were gone.
"estás bien mi amor?" ingrid moved to sit beside her girlfriend who seemed lost in her thoughts, mapi nodding that she was okay and bending down to continue lacing up her shoes as aitana handed ingrid her bag with a smile, wishing them both goodbye.
"see i told you, you just had to wait and to let her come to you."
~
dinner had been going as good as it could have been so far.
things were a little awkward and frosty at first, but with ingrid acting as a buffer you managed to settle into a much more comfortable conversation style.
you'd dished up dinner, grateful to have cooking it as a distraction as you encouraged your guests to do majority of the talking. the two planned to go to norway soon during international break as she had national team commitments.
they were going to see ingrids family and take a few days to themselves in between games finishing and needing to return to barca, and spent time telling you all about what they had planned to do and see there in the short while.
ingrid had of course extended the invitation for you to join them, your sister also eager for you to come. you'd met ingrids family before so you knew it would not be an issue, however you had already committed to malta and wouldn't put it past the younger putellas to track you down in another country to drag you there with her, having been texting you repeatedly about it.
so you waved off the invitation, grateful for it but making a series of jokes about not wanting to third wheel as you ate. though eventually you could no longer stomach the polite conversation and you knew you needed to come clean, the longer you avoided it the more nervous you'd become.
“ingrid, maria. I need to tell you something.” you blurted out much more abruptly and awkwardly than you'd intended. the entire plan you'd spent the afternoon creating all gone out the window, as had your prepared speech.
her smile dropped at the use of her full name, attention now entirely yours to command as you glanced at ingrid beside her who nodded to you to continue, seemingly just as concerned.
“i’m not renewing my contract with barca.” your voice was barely above a whisper but your words fell on your sisters ears like an anchor. you flinched as her cutlery fell to her plate with a loud clatter and she shot to her feet.
“what the hell do you mean you’re not-“ she started with a scowl leaning across the table, ingrid firmly squeezing her leg and giving her a pointed look, nodding to where you sat across from them staring down at the floor, anxiously playing with your fingers as you awaited her oncoming wave of rage.
swallowing the bitter anger and frustration which was rapidly bubbling to the surface knowing that was not what you needed right now, mapi took a deep breath and slowly sat back down.
“hey, look at me.” the girl ordered as you nervously glanced up to meet her eyes which to your shock were glazed over with worry. “what do you need from me hermana?” she asked softly, her reaction catching you a little off guard.
“not to hate me.” was all you managed to breathe out as you crumbled and the tears you’d been fighting off began to well up in your eyes.
your sister quickly moved around the table to sit by your side as you collapsed into her awaiting arms, tears wetting her collarbone as she cradled your head tightly.
“no I could never ever hate you niñita, never. I promise.” the older girl assured softly, murmuring it over and over as she held you tightly as you tried to calm yourself.
not wanting to overstep ingrid quickly gathered your empty plates, moving to the kitchen to wash them up and giving the two of you a moment of privacy.
you pulled away from her and wiped your eyes with your shirt, a little embarrassed at your emotions as ingrid returned, handing you a few tissues. "come, we need to talk about this." your sister encouraged, nodding for you to all move to the sofa.
"so you are leaving barca." she sighed a little as you nodded after you'd all settled in. "to where?" she asked the same questions alexia had. "not another team." you started, the confused faces staring back at you also mirroring that of your ex lovers.
so with a shaky inhale, you repeated the same words you had to her.
"retiring?" with that your sister could hold her tongue no more, once again shooting up to her feet.
"are you injured?" "no." "do you still like football?" "yes." "have you been told you need to stop playing? forced into this by someone?" "no."
"mierda i have just named all the possible reasons for retiring!" the tattooed spaniard snapped, ignoring ingrid who tried to reason with her.
"not mine." you replied calmly, the two words catching your sister off guard as she faltered for a second and fell quiet, slowly taking her seat again and wordlessly waving for you to speak as ingrid moved closer in an attempt to comfort her.
"i am not happy anymore." you started simply, moving to cross your legs underneath you and turning your body a little more to look at the couple sat a few feet away whose faces softened at your words.
"si, i like football. no, i am not injured or being told i cannot play anymore. but i no longer love football, i do not have ambitions to win awards or trophies or tournaments. i cannot represent my country anymore, i cannot continue to pretend like i feel the same when everyone speaks about these things." you began to explain, feeling lighter with each word you got off your chest.
"i have always done what you have. you played football in the backyard, i played football in the backyard. you played for the junior national teams, i played for the junior national teams. you played for barca, i played for barca. you stood up for the way we were being treated, and i stood beside you." you recounted, the look on your sisters face not easy to decipher what she was thinking, though she remained quiet and allowed you to continue.
"but now, now i need to figure out what i want and what i need and what i love. barcelona does not feel like home anymore and it will always be so special to be but i need more." you sighed, rubbing your face with your hands and taking a pause to reset.
"i need to feel like i am giving more, doing more, like whatever i leave behind is worth something. i just want more from life." you sighed, struggling with your words as to not undermine anything or anyone.
"this has been the hardest decision i have ever made. all i know is football, all i am associated with is football, all i know i am good at is football and that is no longer good enough for me anymore." your voice broke slightly and you wavered, taking a deep breath.
"it hurts more than i can explain and i am terrified but i am also just so tired. i am tired of fighting with alexia, i am tired of feeling like i need to walk on eggshells around the two of you. i am tired of worrying about injuries or playing well or not playing well. so si, i will play the rest of of this season with barca and then i will retire, everything was made official today." you rambled on, stopping yourself before you could spiral any further and falling silent.
the couple shared a few looks as if speaking without words which made your stomach knot up again with nerves, anxious for what they would both have to say about it as they gave one another a small nod and turned back to you.
"okay." your sister started softly, a small frown creasing into your eyebrows. "you're not mad?" you asked, still apprehensive for her reaction. "no hermanita, how could i be mad at the cost of your happiness? i am disappointed that the fierce barca legacy of the león sisters is no more, but that is only on the pitch." she started with a smile.
"i am not mad but i am worried about you, why did you not come and speak to me about it? about any of this?" she asked, her hurt disguised in her voice but not in the glint of her eyes.
"actually after everything i can see why, and that is my fault." mapi quickly corrected, forcing a pained smile.
"i am so sorry for not being a better sister or making you feel like you could come to me about this and about your relationship with ale. i have blown up a big part of your life and i will never stand in the way of you trying to start a new one again." your sister promised sincerely as you nodded.
"if not barcelona anymore, where will you go?" ingrid finally spoke, sending you a kind smile as she grabbed her girlfriends hand. "i am going to volunteer with the united nations. they have a six month program that sends you around the world wherever aid or help is needed." you answered, both older girls across from you with wide eyes at your words.
"wow." mapi breathed out. "how did you-"
"alba helped me. she has a friend who heads the recruitment, got me in touch and put in a good word. i actually only heard back yesterday with an offer for a spot." you responded somewhat shyly, still trying to wrap your head around the opportunity.
you didn't have time to say another word, two bodies launching at you and wrapping you tightly in a hug as your sister kissed your cheek repeatedly mumbling about how proud she was of you.
"bueno bueno! thank you for the support but get off." you laughed, unable to even begin to describe the sense of relief at the weight which was melting off your shoulders finally having come clean, and it having gone a lot better than you worried.
"have you told mami? or the team? or your-" "si, mami knows. alba knows. alexia knows. the barca staff know. but i am not ready to tell the team just yet, por favor." you pleaded, both girls assuring they would not tell.
"so you spoke with alexia then?" ingrid asked cautiously, unsure if this was something you'd wish to speak about. "yes. we had an....honest conversation." you sighed, settling back into the sofa.
"the two of you..." mapi trailed off now, also with an air of caution not wanting to overstep. "no. i do not know what could be done to fix things now, the damage is done and it is there and it still hurts. but with some time apart, maybe we could become friends again." you forced a smile, trying to remain optimistic despite the dull thumping ache in your chest any time you thought about the blonde.
"okay hermana. are you still going to go to malta? pina mentioned alba convinced you to go, and we know alexia is also still going." your sister asked with a raised eyebrow, the two of them not going as norway had two games to play during the break which mapi planned to go and support ingrid at.
"yes, we still have the rest of the season to go and i do not want to have to keep arguing and avoiding her. i think after our talk we have a sort of, understanding." you winced slightly, knowing no matter if you wanted to go on the trip or not alba would be forcing you.

Summary: You took one look at Kim Leehan and thought you had him all figured out. But oh he was so much more than that and somehow he became a stable point in your uncertain future.
Warnings: stage names are used, OC refers to Leehan as pretty boy and is annoyed by him in the beginning, OC has one neglectant comment about harassment against boys but regrets it immediately, Leehan has this popularity thing going on with all its consequences, people tend to touch him without his consent and it does bother him but tends to play it off, he also reveals an insecurity about his looks at one point
Words: 7.8k
Author’s note: this is also the product of the amount of Ann Liang books i binge read recently, the instagram algorithm and @restlessmaknae’s marketing for Zico’s kids. partly inspired by who! trailer film and Leehan’s iconic “how can she not like me when i look like this?” title is from Leo’s One Look
despite all the spoilers i hope you like it @restlessmaknae <3
read Taesan’s companion piece here
The first time you met Leehan, he said you were his girlfriend.
Not to you but to another stranger, a girl very obviously flirting with him and you felt like an awkward third wheel standing there with your camera in hand.
“Oh,” the girl with thigh socks and manicured fingers pouted after giving you a once-over as if cataloging what she lost against but then she mumbled out a sorry and made a beeline towards her friends in the back of the room.
The boy next to you let out a relieved sigh and that was what managed to snap you out of your stupor.
“Did you just use me to get out of having to say no?” You hissed and glared at him despite the height difference. Lucky for him you weren’t a fan of public humiliation, so you didn’t call him out on the lie loudly while the girl from before was still so close but it didn’t mean you supported his rude behavior. However, the boy didn’t look like he was feeling guilty.
“I did say no. Twice. She was being pushy,” he explained, letting out a frustrated huff as he looked down at you. “I know her type, this was the easiest and kindest way to let her down.”
“You talk as if you had so much experience,” you snorted, the urge to roll your eyes too strong but nothing could have prepared you for the boy’s reaction.
“Well… yeah,” he simply confirmed with a small nod after barely hesitating and just pointed at his face. His stupid handsome face because if you wanted to be honest, he looked exactly like the type of guy girls your age would be daydreaming about. His hazel brown, longer locks framed his freckled face nicely and his orbs reflected the blue lights of the aquariums around you behind his stylish glasses. You weren’t even sure he needed those or if they were just a fashion item like his baggy jeans and plaid shirt were. He looked like the kind of boy who thought they were too good for everybody.
“Alright,” you muttered, sarcasm dripping off your tone before turning your back on him and heading towards the tunnel under the shark aquarium because you wanted nothing to do with the likes of him. Briefly you wondered whether the girl from before saw this and thought you were the jealous kind of girlfriend but you had better things to do than worrying about that.
Unfortunately, the pretty boy didn’t get the memo and managed to catch up to you quickly. His stupid long legs easily kept up with your steps.
“Hey, wait up. It would be weird if we went separate ways and she found me again.”
“Not my problem,” you reminded him and the guy had the audacity to look like a kicked puppy with his doe eyes. It was unfair. You sighed. “Whatever. Just stay quiet.”
The guy did not in fact stay quiet. He babbled about random fun facts about the sea animals you were seeing, pointing out cool hiding ones you would have missed otherwise and he seemed to know more fish species than you ever heard of in your life.
“How do you know all this?” Your curiosity got the worse out of you at one point when he was talking about the coral reef and star fishes in such detail your past Biology teachers would have been ashamed of their own knowledge.
“Oh. I come here a lot,” pretty boy answered with a shrug and a big smile, his pearl white teeth glittering under the fluorescent lights. “Would you like me to take a picture of you? It’s one of the last rooms.”
Out of instinct you were about to tell him no because you were used to taking your own pictures but thinking about it for a moment, it was only right. He lied about you being his girlfriend and stuck to your side, so you couldn’t film like you planned. The least he could do was to take some pictures.
“Sure,” you handed him your camera and stood in front of the colorful aquarium, posing naturally, then you turned towards the fish and poked the glass between you. The boy didn’t even complain and later you had to admit that he did take it seriously. The photos came out nice enough to set one of them as your new profile picture.
“I’m Leehan by the way,” he said as he handed back your camera and as if on cue, your phone started ringing. You glanced at the caller’s handle before answering, sandwiching the phone between your shoulder and ear to take the camera back.
“Hi, mom. I will be out in a minute,” you said, waving the guy goodbye just to not be rude while you listened to your mother explaining the location of the parking spot she found. You might not meet ever again but you could be well mannered about it even if his previous attitude still bothered you.
When you were younger, you wanted to become many things: idol, actress, tv show host, news anchor… You had always had the passion of performing and ever since you had won the beauty pageant in your region when you had been 4 years old, you had kept hearing that you had the face for these things, too. As if having been a pretty baby helped much with teenager pimples and acne scars.
It was a bit more than three years ago when you decided to take your fate into your hands and do something with this interest of yours. During the summer after your middle school graduation, your family moved to Jeju, so your parents could oversee the opening of the new branch of their business. Not knowing anybody around there but loving the beautiful spots, you started making weekly videos about your days, studying, discovering bakeries and stationary stores. A term passed and life brought you to Gwangju, then Daegu, then last time Daejeon. Over the years your content changed a bit focusing more on realistic high school life portrayal, aesthetics vlogs going around new towns and skincare tips you learned while your subscriber numbers increased gradually. By now, you were an established content creator with a loyal following and some long term sponsors. You only had one more year to graduate and then you could do this full time.
Unsurprisingly senior year had found you in a new city too, this time Seoul, and your viewers had been eager for new exploring types of content, so you had done your research and headed out to look around a bit before the upcoming term made you busy. That was how you had ended up at the aquarium too, not that you could salvage any footage from that day after meeting the arrogant pretty boy.
But oh, how wrong you were about not seeing him again. He was literally on the poster advertising your new school when you went to pick up your school uniform with your mom. Suddenly Seoul seemed to be a much smaller city than you expected it to be.
Small mercies though, at least you weren’t classmates. Not that it saved you from hearing the girls gush about him or his other popular friends. It was a typical high school thing, everywhere you went, school cliques and dynamics were all the same. As the new transfer student you fit in alright, but you had experience in that, in being the new kid in town. You got yourself some popularity too after one of the girls asked for your IG and saw your followers’ number and another classmate was watching your Youtube channel apparently. You didn’t become an outcast nor were you caught up in classroom drama, so it was all good just how you liked it to be.
It happened a few weeks into the term, on a nothing special Tuesday. You were sitting in the canteen with some of your classmates you befriended, spooning fried rice into your mouth and listening to Eunjoo squealing about the new Olive Young discounts, when you looked up and your eyes met a familiar set of brown eyes. The first thing you noticed was a sly smile on the boy’s lips then the second that he wasn’t wearing glasses, so either you were right about them being fake or he wore contact lenses.
You forced yourself to look away despite feeling his gaze on you and focused on the girls’ chatter about Innisfree’s new skincare collection, agreeing to go with them later to check it out. Suddenly, you heard a creak of chair legs dragged across the floor and the canteen quieting down for a long moment before the murmurs picked up. Then an empty tray with only remains of the daily lunch menu was slid onto the table across you and Wonhee on your left gasped.
“Hello, girls. Hello… Y/N,” came the now familiar smooth voice and you caught Leehan pointedly looking at the name tag over your uniform before locking eyes with you. “I didn’t know you go here.”
“I just transferred this year,” you said, unfazed but you couldn’t help but observe how different vibe did the boy give off now compared to the aquarium. Maybe it was the circumstances or maybe it was the uniform’s doing, the suit well-fitted, his necktie nicely made and the fabric’s tight stretch empathizing his broad shoulders. Nothing about him now indicated how laid back he had been back at the aquarium, how relaxed, if not for his lazy smile. Here he was composed, seemingly aware that each of his movements were followed by curious eyes. Huh, maybe he did have as much experience rejecting girls as he had claimed despite his age.
“Do you know each other?” Eunjoo chirped in, cutting your train of thoughts short.
“We ran into each other before,” you explained briefly and while it didn’t seem to satisfy the girls' curiosity, luckily Leehan didn’t seem keen on elaborating either.
“Well, it was good to see you again,” he nodded towards you then flashed a charming smile at your entire table before taking off, leaving a trail of whispers and gossip in the wake of his steps. You looked after him and wondered what Yongsan High’s prince wanted from you.
That could have been it. Acknowledging each other’s presence, greeting each other on the school hallways, nothing less, nothing more. That was until Principal Im called you into his office, offered you tea and mentioned that ‘it was brought to his knowledge that you were some sort of Internet persona’, his words, not yours. It felt weird talking about it with a teacher because none of your previous schools had a problem with it. But as it turned out it was quite the opposite. The principal wished to use your ‘expertise with standing in front of a camera’ to the school’s benefit. So that was how you ended up doing a photoshoot for the school’s Open Day with none other than Kim Leehan.
Although you had no actual modeling experience, the principal reassured you that you didn’t need to be professional for this kind of shoot. He was even delighted by the idea of you vlogging the experience for more exposure. So on the day of the shooting, you headed to the classroom assigned for the shoot right after classes and talked with the photographer about recording the entire session and set up your camera. You were doing last minute adjustments with the brightness and white light with the new angle after filming getting your hair and ‘no makeup’ makeup done by the stylist the school hired (like woah, they took it seriously) when Leehan showed up.
It was obvious that he had experience, he moved around the lighting and photography equipment with ease, charming everybody with his easy smile and kind greetings. He sat through getting his makeup to not glow or look tired on camera without a word of complaint and instead chatted with the woman about her dog. You caught yourself staring at his genuine smile a little too late.
“Y/N!” Leehan’s smile widened slowly, a little cheekily, showing his dimple and he shot up from his chair to walk up to you and your camera. “So it’s you.”
“It’s me,” you confirmed but you weren’t sure why he looked so giddy about it. Was he worried it would be some clingy fangirl of his?
“I heard you’re Internet famous,” he noted and then looked pointedly at the camera. “Are you going to film the shooting too?”
“That’s the plan. If that’s alright with you,” you looked at him, questioning. Even if he said no, you could record your solo parts and use just that and the preparation during editing. You wouldn’t have wanted to make anybody uncomfortable with your filming. Leehan however didn’t seem to mind at all.
“Sure, you can even put my face on the thumbnail,” he winked at you, teasing, right before the photographer called for you.
Even with all his playfulness, Leehan took the job seriously. Whether it was experience or natural talent, he had a knack for easing into natural behavior despite the constant click-clack of the camera and knew how to smile into it when it was needed to make the photographer satisfied. You took a bunch of photos depicting school life at Yongsan High: flipping through text books, fake writing essays, solving equations on the board and working in pairs on a task. You honestly weren’t sure why they needed so much for a simple Open Day brochure but it was a one of a kind experience and not at all bad.
“Thank you for your hard work,” the principal’s secretary distributed drinks for everyone when the shooting was wrapped up and you bid goodbye to every adult with polite bows before dismounting your own camera.
You didn’t expect Leehan to wait for you but for some reason, you weren’t all too surprised either.
“Want some?” He held something out for you and looking down you saw that it was a pack of shark shaped gummies. So random.
“No, thanks,” you shook your head and put your tripod and camera into your bag, ready to go. But you couldn’t without making a comment. “You’re pretty good at this. Modeling, I mean.”
“Hm. It’s good for extra pocket money,” Leehan shrugged between chewing two pieces of gummies. You were sure it wasn’t the first time he heard it from somebody. “And no, before you ask, I wasn’t paid for this either. I mean in general.”
With his face and overall good looks you weren’t surprised to hear that. Not to mention it was a positive thing that he had already found something to earn money with.
“Do you wanna do this after graduating?” You asked, suddenly curious because you realized that you didn’t know anything about him other than his fascination with sea animals, that everywhere he went girls just fell in love with him at first sight and that he acted like you were friends for a while when you had been nothing but strangers.
“Nah. Maybe as a side gig but hopefully I will get into a uni with marine studies,” he said and you knew that it was very judgemental of you to be surprised at his career choice, especially after seeing how enthusiastic he was at the aquarium but it only proved your stance that you barely knew each other. And apparently Kim Leehan kept surprising you.
“That’s cool,” you mumbled, not wanting to voice out your surprise in case he would think you thought of him as an air-headed pretty boy even if there would have been a tiny bit of truth in that.
“What about you? Will you turn content creation into a job?” He nodded towards the tripod in your hands. He didn’t ask about it in a way some of your more distant relatives did, condescending, like you were a child they needed to warn about how unstable of a career it was. He seemed genuinely curious, so you gave him an honest answer too.
“Well, I will try to. But I plan to get certificates for digital marketing too and maybe help others boost their online presence too,” you said because while your plans might not have been unheard of in this time and age, you knew that it was far from what your conservative country encouraged. If nothing worked out, your parents would have been glad to welcome you at their company too but you didn’t voice that out because you would have preferred paving your own way.
“That’s pretty cool, too. What’s your account’s name by the way?” Leehan asked, fishing out his phone ready to look it up and his eyes sparkling with curiosity which was unfair really because it made it hard to say no to him. “Oh come on, I’m sure I could ask any of your friends.”
You knew he was right, he could even just search your name on Naver and find it. You weren’t sure why you felt so self-conscious thinking about him checking out your channel or other socials. Plenty of other people did.
“Fine,” you sighed, telling the boy your IG handle and in a weak attempt of not seeing his reaction, you swung your bag onto your shoulder now that you were all packed up and headed towards the classroom exit.
“Cute,” you heard Leehan’s comment, quiet and unexpected, from behind you just before he caught up to you with his long legs. “You set the photo I took as your profile picture.”
You hummed because what else could you have said? It was pretty obvious. Leehan seemed surprised at first though but then his mouth tilted in a teasing way.
“Where’s my credit?” He singsonged, easily keeping up with your walking speed.
“In your dreams. I don’t want dating rumors,” you told him. You weren’t famous in a way you would have to worry about people dissecting your life but so far you had managed to keep your family and relationships out of the public eye and you wanted to keep it that way. If you captioned the photo with ‘taken by the pretty boy I met at the aquarium’ some of your followers surely would have gotten way too invested in your non-existent love life. Plus, you had thought you wouldn’t see each other again.
“What if it’s not a rumor?” Leehan asked just to tease. It was easy to tell from his tone or the way his eyes glinted when you looked at him.
“Says the guy who lied about having a girlfriend when asked for his number,” you deadpanned with an eyebrow raised, challenging him to disagree with you but the boy only cackled.
“Touché.”
He followed you on Instagram and after one cute animal post in your DMs, you followed him back. You didn’t text much at first, just sharing some memes over Principal Im’s mild reactions to your photo shoot and random sealife content. Then the principal asked the two of you to greet the parents at the school gate on the Open Day which made you bond over mutual annoyance over responsibilities like this. You would never understand what difference it made to have two students offer brochures by the door instead of stacking them on a table free to take to the overall experience of parents, but there you were, on brochure hand out duty on a fine Friday.
“Do I have a sign over my forehead saying ‘touch me’ or something?” Leehan grumbled after the nth parent thought it was appropriate to place a hand over his shoulder or touch his cheek just to coo about how handsome boys attended this school. You got some comments on your looks too but the aunties were impressed by Leehan’s visuals way more and neither of you could say anything because that would have come off as disrespectful and wouldn’t have done any good for the school’s reputation.
“Do you want to take a break? I can cover for you,” you offered because seeing him at unease twisted something in your stomach. Honestly, both of you were there mostly just to look pretty, so if he left to be alone a bit, you would have been fine still.
Leehan seemed taken aback by your offer though if his widened eyes and slow blinking was anything to go by.
“No, it’s fine. Thanks though,” he shook his head eventually and put on his fake smile when the next batch of parents filed through the entrance.
But something shifted then between you, some sort of unsaid understanding over vulnerability. Something that made you think that maybe you could be more than just two people in the same boat. You could have been friends talking about stuff friends did.
Maybe that was why, when you were done and ushered to your respective classrooms, you brought up the first neutral topic that you could think of to fill the void while walking on the empty hallways.
“Hey, are you friends with the school radio club leader?”
Leehan seemed lost in thoughts, so your question made him falter a bit, his eyebrows creasing, confused about the sudden topic.
“Taesan? Yeah, why?” He asked tentatively, turning to look at you briefly and see your expression.
“Is he dating my class’ president?” You asked because even though you weren’t one to bump your nose into others’ business, based on what you saw, you could barely believe it wasn’t common knowledge. Leehan must have been on the same page because his eyes immediately shone with excitement.
“Oh, you noticed too!” He pointed out, giddy, and it was nice to see him smile so wide after how uncomfortable he had looked before.
“It was kind of hard not to. I was at the senior interview last week and they kept glancing at each other,” you said because honestly, they must have thought that they had been subtle about it, always looking when the other hadn’t but it made you feel like a third wheel.
“That’s just great! I can’t wait to tease Taesan with it,” Leehan grinned, bouncing a little on his feet, his soft-looking hair falling into his eyes behind the glasses he decided to put on that day too. “They aren’t official or anything. Taesan was actually convinced for a while that pres hated his guts but as far as I know there has been progress.”
You weren’t an expert at love by any means but based on what you saw, your class president was far from hating the other guy, so you just hummed in acknowledgement. Leehan misunderstood your silence though.
“Are you jealous?” He asked, more astonished than teasing as he jogged in front of you, so he could look at your face while walking backwards. An unnecessarily hazardous thing to do, so you halted your steps when you reached the corner of your classrooms' hallway.
“What? No,” you furrowed your eyebrows because where the heck did he take that from?
“So you don’t like Taesan?” Leehan asked as if it was something he needed to confirm, best friend duties or whatever. Even if you liked his friend, you wouldn’t have talked about him with Leehan. That kind of behavior just didn’t make sense to you.
“No, gosh, I was just trying to start a conversation,” you sighed exasperatedly which exuded a chuckle from the boy.
“Cute,” he noted and absentmindedly reached out towards your head. You froze in your spot the same moment his hand stopped mid-air too having caught himself. You felt heat rush into your cheeks thinking that he wanted to… what? Ruffle your hair or pat your head? Either way, Leehan smoothly recovered as he pulled his hand back and ran his fingers through his own silky locks, waving goodbye to you before heading off to his class.
It was silly how something so small and insignificant like that suddenly made you nervous around the boy. Well, nervous might not have been the right word. You would have liked to think that previously you were indifferent or slightly intrigued at most when it came to Leehan. He was just another boy after all, just one more face that you wouldn’t see anymore when your family moved again. You had become great at not getting too close with anybody after the constant goodbyes had become too much to handle. Yet, you caught yourself waiting for the boy’s random animal fun facts and felt yourself getting flustered when you caught him as much as looking in your direction at the school canteen. It was getting ridiculous.
When you mentioned to Hyewon that one guy made you feel this confused, she told you that it could be just because you weren’t used to being friends with boys and that you needed to get out more. That's how you ended up at Wonyoung’s house party that weekend. The cheerleader welcomed you with a wide smile despite not talking more than ten words with you before but you guessed that it was normal. The more the merrier and all that jazz.
You had never been a party person, it was too loud, too chaotic. You weren’t sure how this was supposed to help with your problem but Hyewon seemed to have fun, especially when she made Gyuvin dance on the dance during a round of truth or dare. You talked with some people from class and strangers both and it wasn’t bad, you did have a good time but after a while it was a bit too much. Very unlike your usual Saturday night when you usually edited your videos to the tunes of your feel good Spotify playlist.
You needed some fresh air after being in the stuffy house for hours among dozens of other sweaty bodies and luckily Wonyoung’s parents’ house had a back garden, perks of living in the suburbs. From outside, the party’s music was muffled through the walls, toned down but still audible. You closed your eyes and let the night breeze cool your face. You only snapped out of it when you heard the sound of movements from the other side of the terrace. Initially you thought that it must have been a cat, so you were quite surprised when behind the huge kimchi jar there was none other than Kim Leehan.
“Jeez, what are you doing here?” You put a hand over your rapidly beating heart after such a jumpscare and eyed the guy sitting against the wall.
“What does it look like?” He asked, sheepishly for once with a scratch on his nape. It was so unlike his confident persona that charmed half the girls in your year. There was something lovely about it though, that he allowed you to see him like this.
“Don’t tell me you’re hiding? From girls?” You asked in a hushed voice and at first it was supposed to be a teasing joke but considering Leehan’s silence there must have been some truth in it. “Seriously, you are like 180cm, what can a bunch of girls do to you?”
You blurted it out without thinking but the moment it left your mouth, you realized how ridiculous that sounded. It didn’t matter that he was a guy or he was this tall, nobody deserved to be made to feel uncomfortable.
“Sorry, that was insensitive of me,” you apologized immediately, not wanting the boy to get defensive or hurt due to your unnecessarily harsh words. “But if they bother you so much, I’m sure there are better ways to deal with it.”
Obviously you had never been in his shoes but you wanted to help, you wanted him to feel comfortable enough around you to share the burden, to not play it off when things got like this.
“Most girls are fine, they are respectful and I don’t mind being looked at,” Leehan sighed wistfully, leaning his head back against the wall, looking up at the sky, starless from all the light pollution in the big city. “But… some are too much.”
You felt your fingers twitch, sudden anger rising in your chest thinking about scenarios of what could have happened that made him come out to hide there. Did they grab him or touch him in a way he didn’t want to? Did some drunk girl force themselves upon him when he just wanted to have fun with his friends?
“Are you okay?” You asked, worried, keeping an eye closely on the boy’s facial expressions.
He hummed. It was not a very elaborate response but it was better than nothing. In the following silence though you weren’t sure what to do with yourself. You looked back at the door, wondering when tipsy high schoolers would stumble out to smoke and to break this idyll. It must have looked like you were about to leave, not wanting to bother him because he spoke up, rushed as if he could miss you any minute.
“Can you stay?”
The depth of his voice was more apparent when he talked quietly. Or was it because of the dim light and the open space? You could practically feel it vibrate through your cells. There was no way you would have said no to that.
It was you who just hummed this time, not trusting your voice, and you squeezed yourself next to Leehan, into the space between him and the kimchi jar, the house wall cold against your back. It made you shiver lightly because in the recent lovely spring weather you forgone wearing an extra layer. The boy noticed though, he shrugged off the plaid shirt he wore over a white tee and covered your back and shoulders with it.
“Thank you,” you mumbled, suddenly surrounded by his warmth and the smell of sea salt even after he pulled back his hands.
“Tell me something,” Leehan whispered and despite initially not knowing what to say, you ended up telling him about your inexperience with parties and how moving around a lot affected your relationship with people and your sense of home. You told him that you were thinking of getting your own place instead of moving with your parents to a new city next time but you were afraid because you had never lived alone and you weren’t sure what your parents would have said either. You were so young yet the last few years had been so uncertain, a constant countdown until the next destination and you wanted to settle down for a bit, to call a place home for more than a few months. You wanted to get to know people without the constant fear of eventually losing touch with them.
Leehan was a good listener. He asked the right questions and shared his own perspective of things. There was nothing arrogant in the way he said that distance didn’t matter with the right people. At one point, once the heaviness of the topic subdued into a lighter conversation about your favorite places to be, he leaned his head on your shoulder, his locks tickling your ear and his closeness turning your cheeks rosy.
It was cozy, staying there with him, just talking. You didn’t even notice the party sounds dying down until Haewon called you to ask if you had already gone home without her. It could have been embarrassing how you didn't even notice time passing in Leehan’s company but you felt nothing of that sort. Shyly, you handed him back his shirt and wished him good night before catching up with Haewon.
You should have known that the girl famous for her intuitions wouldn’t leave it just like that. You were ambushed the moment the two of you were alone on the night bus.
“Sooo… where did you disappear off? Were you with Leehan?” She singsonged casually while you almost choked on your spit because you had never told her that the boy making you feel conflicted was Leehan. The pretty, popular boy of your grade, the prince of Yongsan High. The one almost everybody wanted. So cliché, so unnerving. And yet…
“Wh– what? How?” You spluttered, flustered but it only made Haewon giggle and coo at you.
“Please, I have seen how you look at him.”
“Oh, gosh, is it that obvious?” You groaned, hiding your face in your hands. You didn’t think you were that gone. Scratch that, before the party you wholeheartedly believed that it was just curiosity and being friendly on your part. Maybe Haewon was right and you had no idea how simple friendship worked with boys.
“It’s cute. And don’t worry, I don’t think Leehan noticed. He’s used to more… aggressive type of love declarations.”
“I’m not declaring my love for him!” You objected because that was too much, too soon. You just realized that you liked him and you haven’t decided yet what to do with this new, fuzzy feeling spreading in your chest.
“Why not?”
Why not indeed? Was it not wanting him to lose this fragile safe space he found with you just because you couldn't stop yourself and fell in love when all he needed was a friend who understood? Or was it your usual mindset of keeping everybody at an arm’s length to not get too emotionally attached? You had no idea and it was too late into the night to figure it all out then.
Summer was approaching fast. It meant humid and sunny days, and way too many term end tests. It also meant two months without seeing Leehan which planted a kind of dread in your chest whenever you thought about it. At least you weren’t moving this time, not with your CSAT exams coming up in the second half of the year, so you had a bit more time to decide whether you wanted to stay here even if your parents moved away after your graduation.
Things only subtly changed after that party at Wonyoung’s. You didn’t necessarily look for each other’s presence at school, probably because both of you knew the rumors would be a pain to avoid if you did otherwise. You did text more though and not just about the previous neutral topics. Having been in Seoul for longer, Leehan started recommending places for you to visit for your YouTube channel and he knew that you wouldn’t belittle his complaints when he was annoyed by the way he was treated. He was also the perfect person to turn to when you had a bad day because he would listen and then he would make you feel better with his odd little jokes. He was such a dork under that popular pretty boy surface and you loved being able to see this side of him too. He also made sure to keep you updated about the school radio leader’s and your class president’s progress.
On a particularly hot June day, it was Leehan who nudged you in the side when he walked past you in the hallways.
“Let’s get ice cream after school,” he suggested casually as if it didn’t make your heartbeat go crazy, so you walked two blocks down from the school while arguing about the best Baskin Robbins flavors and went over the popsicles section of the corner convenience store only for Leehan to dig out the most artificial green colored one for its alien packaging. You laughed about the color of your tongues and the icy dessert melting all over your fingers and you had so much fun that for those few minutes you forgot about all the uncertainties in your life. Nothing mattered, just that moment with Leehan.
Haewon’s question (why not?) echoed in your ears at times like this.
It became a new habit sweeping well into summer: hanging out outside of school, looking for places with refreshing desserts to beat the heat. It was Italian-style gelato one week then bingsu or hwachae the next. You didn’t film but you kept posting pictures on your Instagram and you really underestimated the curiosity of your followers because one blurry reflection on the window was enough for people to conclude that you were on a date.
You knew for a fact that Leehan had the habit of stalking your comment section ever since he got so worked up about somebody making a mere comment on you gaining weight, but he didn’t say anything about this incident, which was probably for the best because honestly, you weren’t sure you could have played it off as coolly as when you had talked about not wanting dating rumors back in the day. Because what if it wasn’t rumors?
Next time you met up, Leehan pointed a finger at you in accusation even before he sat down at the table you already occupied.
“You went to an ocean-themed cafe without me?”
You blinked up at him in surprise, trying to make sense of what he was talking about when you remembered what you posted earlier to your Instagram.
“I was cafe hopping and found it by accident,” you explained that it wasn’t planned. If you knew, you surely would have told him about it. Even when you found the pretty coffee shop, you were so excited to tell him about it but then you had to remind yourself to tone it down, to not make your feelings too obvious.
“Still… Next time, you should take me with you,” Leehan said, pursing his lips a little child-like and you wanted to pinch his cheeks just above his adorable dimples. You curled your fingers into your hand to stop yourself.
“I’m not used to filming in company,” you told him because it was kind of a principle you had to fully pay attention to the people you were with instead of focusing on snapping pictures or recording. Maybe it was because your parents didn’t like it that you had your camera on you when you went out with them on those rare occasions they were free to give in to your request. With Leehan though, he might not have minded it but you were sure he would be distracting in the most heart-fluttering meaning of the word. You couldn’t take your eyes off him and it would be a mess. Your viewers would notice the same way Haewon had noticed too.
“Please~” The boy pouted (unfair!), fluttering his eyelashes under the loose strands of his long grown fringe and you felt your resolve weaken immediately.
“Just because you are pretty, it doesn’t mean you can just do that and I will give in,” you blurted out a protest in a weak attempt of keeping your composure. You didn’t even notice your subscious slipping through until Leehan’s pout turned into a content smile.
“Oh, so you do think I’m pretty.”
“I… that’s not the point!” You protested but Leehan seemed oddly satisfied with the new knowledge. He was whistling to the tone of a 2nd gen kpop song under his nose when the ahjumma came to take your orders and both of you were embarrassed because you didn’t bother looking at the menu since you arrived. The ahjumma smiled fondly and mumbled something about young love which turned you crimson but you hoped Leehan didn’t hear and didn’t notice. Luckily (or not), he was still hung up on your previous slip up.
“I thought you were immune to me,” he mumbled and he sounded so serious that you couldn’t even find it in yourself to joke about what kind of virus he would like to be then.
“What?” You blinked at him, not sure what brought this up but while you were confused, Leehan looked like this was something that had been on the tip of his tongue for so long and now that it was finally out he had a lot to explain.
“I mean, it’s not a terrible thing I guess. I like it that you treat me like a normal guy from day one, that you don’t swoon just because I walk past you on the school hallways and you aren’t afraid to call me out on my bullshit when I’m too much but then I kind of want you to be swooned by me. I know it doesn’t make sense but sometimes it bothers me so much that you don’t like me the way I like you.”
“I…” You gaped at him like a fish, speechless, but couldn’t even finish your clumsy excuse of sentence because Leehan was still rambling.
“Like look at me. How can you not?” He finally looked you in the eye and pointed at his face.
His all too lovely face with the warmest shade of brown in his playful eyes, the prettiest hair you would like to ruffle and the smart line of his rosy lips. At that moment he looked so young, so boyish, the teenager blemish barely visible on his face because in your eyes even the flaws made him more handsome.
“Leehan,” you said his name slowly, forming each syllable like it was an answer itself. Suddenly it wasn’t so scary to be honest because you now knew that he was just as unsure around you as you were with him. “I do like you but no offense, it has nothing to do with your looks.”
If you wanted to be honest, his looks were one thing you disliked about him in the beginning. You had known popular boys before who knew they looked good and they had always had the kind of ego that made their handsomeness turn sour in your mouth. But it became clear over time that he wasn’t one to use his good looks to get away with things and take advantage of girls’ feelings.
“Y/N,” Leehan called your name in a similar manner to the way you had done, a confused little frown sitting on his forehead and you wanted nothing more than to smooth it out. “There’s so much to unpack in that sentence.”
“Like?”
“Like when you say you like me, do you mean it in a friendly way?” He asked and he sounded so nervous asking it that you couldn’t help but giggle. He had said it first in his ramble, he wasn’t weirded out by your confession either nor did he brush it off and gosh, he sounded outright hopeful, so the relief made you feel giddy.
“Sure,” you smiled before casting your eyes down. “If wanting to hold hands with you and going on cheesy dates is a friendly thing to do.”
There was a moment of silence that made you so nervous you had to look up again and what you saw was better than seeing any breathtaking sunrise.
“Really?” Leehan whispered, his eyes shining with little stars in them.
“Really,” you nodded shyly before remembering his previous claim about so much to unpack and you cleared your throat. “What else?”
The soft smile melted off the boy’s face and something insecure flashed through his eyes as his fingers fumbled with the napkins on the table.
“And… does it mean that you like me but not the way I look? Like… am I not manly enough or–?”
“Hey, no, that’s not what I meant,” you interrupted quickly but not quickly enough because you never wanted him to feel that way to begin with. You scrambled to find the right words to explain this time. “I like you because you are caring and kind, you listen to my vents and try to help, you make boring stuff fun, you make me feel at home with you in a way I haven’t felt in a long time. It doesn’t matter how you look but to tell you the truth and not just to boost your ego, you are the most beautiful boy I have ever seen.”
“Oh, okay,” Leehan muttered but then giggled and the tips of his ears peeking out from between his wavy locks reddened adorably. You couldn’t believe what you were seeing. Kim Leehan getting flustered in front of you, because of you?
“Hold up… are you blushing?” You teased, softly, playfully and wholeheartedly smitten.
“Shut up,” Leehan mumbled but there was no edge in his tone, just a smile playing on his lips. So cute. “I like you too. A lot. In a friendly way if walking you home and kissing you goodbye is something friends do.”
This time it was your turn to flush, a cherry color appearing on your cheeks. You were pretty sure that that’s why the ahjumma turned on her heels when she walked up to your table again without asking about your orders. The menu cards were still untouched next to you.
You got to hold Leehan’s hand that day when he did good on his promise and walked you home. He also kissed you on the cheek by the gate because you both got shy but it was fine, you had the entire summer and all the time in the world. There was no need to rush anything.
Your first official date was at the aquarium for old time’s sake and it was the second time Leehan called you his girlfriend. You got distracted reading about the ‘Nemo fish’ and you didn’t realize that the boy wandered further away staring at a big tank full of fluorescent jellyfish as if it hadn’t been there before. By the time you caught up with him, there was a girl there, handing him her phone, smiling coyly. Last time you didn’t feel anything if not mild annoyance for being dragged into it but now you could feel your chest swelling with a new emotion. You had thought before that you would be jealous but what you actually felt was pride. That there was this beautiful, amazing boy and he liked you and he seemed proud of it too as he shot an apologetic smile towards the girl then saw you over her shoulder and his forced smile softened, its edges lifting up until his dimple showed.
“Sorry, I have a girlfriend,” he said and this time it was real.
He bowed politely towards the stranger then reached for your hand, lacing his fingers through yours and you hid your smile in his arm as he pulled you farther away.
“Are you good?” You asked quietly, just to make sure that the girl didn’t make him feel uncomfortable because otherwise you might have had to go back and lecture her on basic manners.
“Never better,” Leehan replied, smiling against your temple with a brief kiss before pointing at a tank you passed by. “Did you know that angelfish mate for life?”
“No, I had no idea,” you chuckled and listened to your boyfriend tell you all about this species of fish you had never heard about before. It was perfect. You could have listened to him all day.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
She stirs awake in a quite hospital room morning, the soft hum of medical machinery the only sound to greet her. The sun has barely started to peek through the blinds, casting a faint, comforting glow across the stark white sheets. Her eyes blink open slowly, adjusting to the brightness that seems too harsh for such an early hour.
Her gaze lands on the sleeping form of Bruce Wayne, slumped in the chair beside her bed, his strong jawline slack with fatigue and his chest rising and falling in the rhythmic pattern of deep slumber. He had been there for hours, ever since she had been wheeled into the delivery room, his hand clutching hers as she had gritted her teeth and pushed through the pain.
With a gentle smile, she turns her head to the side, her eyes seeking the tiny, swaddled figure in the clear-sided bassinet next to her. There she is, their baby girl, her little cherub, with a shock of dark hair standing up in soft peaks and a button nose that looked as if it had been pinched from a doll. Her heart swells in her chest at the sight of her. She reaches out a hand, her fingers trembling slightly, to touch the soft, velvety skin of the newborn's cheek. The baby's eyes flutter open, revealing a pair of piercing blue orbs that stare back at her with curiosity and a hint of recognition.
"Good morning, my little love," she whispers, her voice hoarse from the exertion of the previous night. The baby's eyes widen, and a tiny, perfect hand emerges from the fold of blankets to grasp at her mother's thumb. She feels a rush of warmth, a bond stronger than any she has ever known. This is her daughter, her flesh and blood, the culmination of a love that has weathered many storms.
Bruce stirs awake with a deep inhale, his eyes blinking rapidly to focus on the scene before him. He sees his wife, the mother of his children, and his heart fills with a tenderness he never knew existed. Her face is etched with exhaustion but glows with the kind of joy that only a new mother can understand. He stands up, careful not to disturb the fragile moment, and leans over to press a kiss to her forehead.
"How are you feeling?" he asks, his voice a low rumble in the quiet room.
She looks up at him, her smile widening. "Tired, but... happy." she looks back to the little baby, "Look at her, Bruce. She's beautiful."
Bruce nods in agreement, his gaze never leaving the baby's face. "Just like her mother," he murmurs, his thumb tracing the curve of her cheek.
Suddenly, she expression shifts, a shadow of regret passing over her features. "I'm sorry again for lashing out last night," she says softly, her voice thick with emotion. "And for... threatening to... kill you." she smiles awkwardly.
Bruce chuckles, the tension in the room easing. "It's all forgotten, honey," he says, "You were in a lot of pain. And I love you, but I don't think you could take me on, especially in your current state." His eyes dance with humor, the corners crinkling with affection.
She laughs softly, the sound music to Bruce's ears. "Well, maybe not," she concedes, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
Bruce carefully lifts the baby from the bassinet, his strong arms cradling her with a tenderness that belies his usual stoic demeanor. She nuzzles into his chest, making a contented little sigh as she's held by her father for the first time.
With the baby now in Bruce's arms, she shifts slightly in the hospital bed, making room for him to sit beside her. He lowers himself onto the edge, his one arm coming around her shoulders to pull her close. The warmth of his body and the solidity of his presence provide a comfort she hadn't realized she needed until this moment. The three of them form a small, perfect circle, a new family unit that feels both foreign and incredibly right.
As Bruce holds their daughter, he presses a gentle kiss to the top of his wife's head, his lips lingering there for a brief moment. She closes her eyes, savoring the touch, feeling the weight of the past few hours lifting from her shoulders. The love that flows between them in this moment is palpable, a force that seems to fill the room and push out any remaining shadows of doubt or fear.
"Thank you," Bruce says, his voice a warm, rumbling baritone that resonates in her chest. He doesn't have to elaborate; she knows he's thanking her for the baby, for their family, for choosing him despite his dual life. her eyes well up with tears, and she nods, her voice too choked to form words. She's thankful too, for his unwavering support and love.
The quiet of the moment is broken by the soft knock on the door, and a nurse peeks her head in. "You have visitors," she says with a knowing smile that reaches her eyes, which are kind and gentle. Her heart skips a beat, her sons have finally come. Bruce had called they late last night that they should come over in the morning, guess they couldn't wait very long.
Dick Grayson, the oldest of the bunch, is the first to enter, his eyes immediately darting to the small bundle in Bruce's arms. He's followed by Jason Todd, his face a mask of curiosity and wariness. Tim Drake brings up the rear, his gaze flicking between Bruce, their mother, and their baby sister, his expression a mix of excitement and uncertainty. And Damian, who had been in on the secret, stands slightly apart, his arms crossed over his chest as if bracing for the reaction of his brothers.
The room is filled with a tension that only families can create, a thick silence that stretches out for a few heartbeats before Tim breaks it with a nervous chuckle. "We're calm, we promise," he says, his voice a little too high.
She can't help but laugh at the sight of them all, so serious and unsure. She holds out her free hand to beckon them closer. "Come and meet your little sister," she says, her voice filled with warmth.
They quickly shuffle closer, their movements tentative, as if afraid they might shatter the delicate scene before them. Dick's eyes are wide with wonder, Jason's with a smile, and Tim's with a cautious excitement. Damian, ever the stoic one, watches with a hint of a smirk, enjoying the rare moment of unity.
Bruce carefully passes the baby to Dick, who takes her with the same gentle care he uses when handling the most fragile of gymnastics equipment. Dick's eyes light up as he looks down at her, and the room seems to hold its breath as he whispers, "Hi, sis." The baby's tiny hand opens and closes, reaching for his face, and Dick's heart melts.
Jason, standing beside Dick, watches with a soft smile, his hand reaching out to gently brush the top of her head. The gesture is almost imperceptible, but it speaks volumes about the bond he shares with the child he had no part in creating, yet feels protective of. Her heart swells as she sees the tenderness in Jason's eyes, knowing that despite their tumultuous past, he has a place in their family. "She's so tiny," he says, his voice filled with awe.
Tim's hands are clenched at his sides, his knuckles white with the effort to contain his excitement. "Can I hold her?" he asks, his eyes wide and hopeful. She nods, and Bruce carefully passes the baby to him. Tim holds her with a mix of reverence and fear, as if she might break. His movements are stiff at first, but as the baby snuggles into his chest, his body relaxes and he beams with pride. "Wow," he murmurs, looking down at her. "She's perfect."
Damian, who had been watching from the sidelines, steps forward. He's the youngest, but often the most serious and guarded. He's been looking forward to this moment, to see if the bond he felt for his brothers would extend to this new member of their unconventional family. He holds out his pinky finger, watching as the baby's tiny hand wraps around it, her grip surprisingly strong. He can feel the warmth of her skin, the rapid beat of her pulse, and something within him shifts. The fiery protectiveness that fuels his nighttime escapades as Robin flares to life in his chest, and he knows that he would do anything to keep her safe.
Bruce, sitting back down with his arm around his wife's shoulder, watches his sons interact with their new sister. He's proud of them, each in their own way. Dick, the eldest, who has stepped into the role of a leader, guiding them through their training and life outside of the Manor. Jason, who has come so far from his rough beginnings, now a strong and capable ally. Tim, the youngest of the three, who has proven to be a quick learner and a vital part of the team. And Damian, his own biological son, who is learning to navigate the complexities of his identity and heritage.
"We're sorry that we sneaked out," she says to the boys, her voice tinged with a hint of apology. "We didn't want you to worry."
"We're also sorry," Dick says, his voice thick with a mix of affection and understanding, "for being overly protective."
"Yeah, I guess we went overboard," Jason admits. They've always been a tight-knit group, but with her pregnancy, they had all felt the weight of their responsibilities even more acutely.
Tim nods, still cradling the baby with awe. "But she's worth it," he says, his voice filled with pure happiness. "Look at her, she's a miracle."
"We promise to be more supportive next time," Dick says, a hint of humor in his voice, looking between Bruce and their mother.
Jason nods in agreement. "Yeah, no more jumping to conclusions or freaking out," he adds. She laughs, the sound light and airy.
"I'm glad you boys aren't mad." she says, looking to her eldest sons.
"Mad?" Tim repeats with a smile, "Are you kidding me? We're pissed." His words hang in the air for a beat, the humor in his voice unmistakable. Dick and Jason laugh, the tension in the room dissipating like a popped bubble.
"But we think we can find some way in our hearts to forgive you," Dick says, his grin widening as he glances at Tim, who nods solemnly, still holding the baby as if she were a fragile treasure. she laughs, her eyes shining with love for her sons.
"Okay, my turn," Jason says, his voice a mix of excitement and nerves as he steps closer to the bed. Tim carefully transfers the baby into Jason's arms, who holds her with surprising gentleness, his eyes never leaving hers. The baby stares back at him, seemingly unfazed by the exchange, and Jason's heart skips a beat. It's a moment he never thought he'd experience, being a big brother to a little girl, and he's overwhelmed with emotions.
"Hey there, you're just a cute little baby aren't you?" he says, his voice taking on a high-pitched, playful tone that seems to resonate with the baby. She responds with a gurgle and a kick of her tiny legs, making them all laugh.
Alfred, the Wayne's loyal butler, steps into the room with a tray of breakfast, his eyes immediately going to the newest addition to the family. "Ah, Mrs. Wayne, Mr. Wayne, and... the newest little Wayne," he says, a warm smile spreading across his face as he sets the tray down on the bedside table.
"Still working, Pennyworth?" she jokes, the nickname, a playful jab at Alfred's uncanny ability to appear whenever needed, brings a chuckle from the normally stoic man.
"Just ensuring that everyone's well taken care of, madam," he responds, his eyes flicking to the baby before he retreats to give the family their space.
"Alfred, come join us," Bruce calls out, his arm still around her shoulders. "You're a part of this family, too."
Alfred nods and approaches, his smile growing wider as he looks down at the baby. "Congratulations," he says sincerely, his British accent a comforting presence in the room. Hesitating for just a moment, he reaches out a gnarled hand to stroke her cheek. The baby's eyes follow his movements, and she coos contentedly.
Damian, who had been standing back, his arms still crossed over his chest, finally unclasps them and takes a tentative step forward. "May I hold her?" he asks, his voice softer than her has ever heard it. Bruce nods, and Tim carefully hands the baby over to Damian, who holds her with a mix of awe and trepidation. The baby seems to sense his uncertainty and reaches out a tiny hand to grasp his finger, holding on tight.
Damian's face relaxes into a smile, and she can see the love in his eyes, despite his usual stern demeanor. "Hello, little one," he whispers, his accent lilting slightly. "You've got quite the family to keep you safe." The baby looks up at him, seemingly responding to the strength in his voice, and Damian's smile widens.
As the boys continue to coo over their sister, her mind drifts to the future. The thought of raising a daughter in a household filled with so much testosterone, with Bruce's demanding schedule and the constant shadow of the Batman looming over them, fills her with a mix of excitement and trepidation. But she knows that with the love and protection of her sons, she has nothing to fear.
"What's her name?" Damian finally asks, breaking the comfortable silence that had descended over the room. She looks up at Bruce, who nods at her to go ahead. She takes a deep breath, savoring the moment. "Her name," she says, her voice strong and proud, "is Meillia," She glances to Alfred with a smirk, "Penny Wayne."
Alfred's eyes widen in shock, and his cheeks color slightly, a rare sight that brings another round of laughter from the room. She had always had a cheeky side, and it was moments like these that made her feel like she truly belonged in this strange world of masks and heroics. "Well, Miss Meillia Penny Wayne," he says, his voice filled with affection, "you certainly have an interesting family tree."
The laughter fades into a comfortable silence as the boys take turns holding Meillia, each one whispering promises and secrets into her ear. She watches them with a mix of pride and awe. They were her guardians, her protectors, and now, her brothers. Her heart swells at the thought of the adventures they would all share together, the love and chaos that would no doubt come with raising a daughter in the shadow of the Batcave.

He was in awe, straight up ogling over you. But he knows he doesn't have a chance. You're the prettiest, sweetest, most popular girl in school, and he's, well, him. He watches from his spot at the lunch table, and you perched on top of the seat by the "popular" seats as they all call it. You chat away with friends, and he almost squeals as you lock eyes with him. His face flushes red at the sight of your gorgeous eyes meeting his ice blue orbs. When he looks up to check if your still looking, he blushes more as he sees you still looking, raising a hand, he waves shyly then looks down immediately as you reciprocate it. He hears your voice faintly then notices you start to approach. He starts to mentally curse himself and forces a smile when you mutter a soft, sweet hello. "Hey- uh...can I, can I help you?" He asks softly and you chuckle. "May I sit?" You question as you gesture to the empty seat next to him.
"U-uhm-" he nods as he scoots to offer a bit of extra space. He watches as you sit down, the small expand in your thighs, the tiny arch in your back, the way your backside expa- "Hey? You with me?" You ask with a soft chuckle as his face floods with redness as you mention his zoned out expression. "Yeah- sorry uh....if I may ask, why did you wanna sit with me?" He inquires with a tilt of his head. "Oh! Right I was wondering if you could tutor me in math. My grade is low and I'm struggling bad-" You retort with soft flushed cheeks. He smiles, finding your small bit of embarrassment cute. "Yeah, if your fine doing it at my house cause I usually do better in my own homely environment" he replys with a nod as you nod as well. "Okay, meet me in the school parking lot and I can drive you to my house..." he says softly and you nod, getting up and returning to your original table. God he can't wait till schools over now.

It was last period, and as soon as the ball rang, signaling schools ended. He grabbed his books and papers, darting out the classroom to his locker. He places his stuff in his locker in an organized manner, slipping his bag over his arm and walking out of the building towards his car where he sees you, sat on the bench on the sidewalk near the parking lot. "Hey!" He says with a high wave to signal him. He chuckles at your reaction, a small gasp but a smile growing as you jog over. "Okay, you ready?" He questions, and when you nod, he leads you to his car, casually opening the door for you without thinking. When you sat inside his vehicle, he shut the door and round the car to get into the driver's seat. His hand inserts the key into the ignition, turning it as the car starts. He pulls out of the parking spot, and before you know it, you're down the road. You can't keep your eyes off his hands, the veins exposed from his tight grip on the wheel, the way he casually drives is hot to you. No, not him? Why are you ogling the nerd of all people, damn it, you need to stop. You are pulled out of your thoughts at the soft call of your name. "Hey? You okay, you zoned out~" Matt mentions as he pulls into his driveway.
-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-
It has been about an hour since you and him arrived, and all you hear is "blah blah blah" when he talks. You never thought you'd be in awe of the schools nerd, but something about him just makes you wanna shove the book off his lap and smash your lips on his. "Hey? Did you write that down?" He asks as he taps the equation on the paper. "Oh- uh yeah...one second," you nod as you quickly copy down the problem. "Has anyone ever told you that you look cute in glasses?" You compliment without thinking, and when it clicks in your head, you go red, matching Matt's face as well. "Uh, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to say that I-" You stutter out in embarrassment. "Hey, uh- y-your, fine, I just...wasnt- expecting that?" He reassures shakily with a small chuckle. "Let's just uh- get back to work." He says as he looks back down to the thick textbook on his lap. "But uh...thank you- and uh...you are really pretty-" he mumbles in a barely audible tone, but you still hear him, both of you red as a tomato. "But uh, let's just keep working..." you mumble and you both nod. It may not feel like it but this might just end differently than both of you thought.
-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-✦-
It's now the next day at school, throughout the morning you both exchange small glances in the halls. It has now hit lunchtime and he's is in shock when you sit your tray on the lunch table and sit down next to him. Why weren't you sat with the popular kids? "Uh, hey~" Hey says softly, praying he doesn't mess this up, nor make you uncomfortable. "Hi, uh I know I should've asked before I sat down but...may I sit?" You ask with a chuckle. "Yeah I don't mind at all" he chuckles as he takes a bit of his food. "Okay, thanks...my friends are being dicks so, figured I'd sit here~" you admit with a sigh, making him frown a bit. "Why? What did they do?" He tilts his head. "Oh they are just making fun of me for talking with you and shit but it's fine." You take a bite of your food, him doing the same. "Well, I wouldn't mind if you hung out with me more~" he admits with a grin and you reciprocate it. "I'd love to hang out more Matt, it'd be fun" you chuckle as his cheeks go bright red. "Well uh...same time for tutoring?" He nods, "yeah, same time works, just meet me in the parking lot again" he smiles, watching you stand up and leaving the lunchroom. He doesn't mind being your tutor, hell, maybe he might get a relationship out of it cause of how it's going but he can never be sure~

Always & forever | H. Jisung
pairing: Jisung x fem!reader
summary: silence in the air, it was odd. Something changed, he changed. Or maybe it was her who changed. Maybe, it was something else.
word counts: 1k words
genre: angst
a/n: I seriously think that physics is the main cause why I write so many angst stories. Never thought physics had that effect on me>>>. Also let me know what you think!
Shutting his eyes, his head remained on the headrest while a low but audible sigh escaped him. His hands had fallen from the steering wheel, finding comfort by his side as the wind from the air conditioner played with his hair. His heart heaved at the thought of starting the car and heading to the place — the one he knew by heart now.
The car suddenly sank, followed by a soft thud from the passenger’s door, but he remained still as a doll. His breath was stolen momentarily upon the sound.
No…he must have misheard it.
He unfolded his eyes and slowly turned his head to the side, his gaze clouded with a vague feeling, a feeling that she couldn't quite point. Feelings that rarely painted on his usually soft features.
She closed the door and beamed a small smile toward him — a smile oh so warm that could light up his days, once a beacon in his unknown path.
“Are you okay, Jisung?” Her hand reached for his hand and gently grasped it.
But her hands felt cold. Hollow of warmth.
A sharp pain struck his head and his hand jolted back, dropping out of her grip. His hands began quivering as they found their place on the steering wheel, gripping them tightly. Everything around him closed up, emerging into each other, creating distorted images. His chest raised in alarming rhythm as he tried to calm himself and gained control over his breathing again and she only could…watch.
Nothing else.
Stuck in the seat without any way to comfort her broken lover.
The sound of his phone pulled him back to reality. Picking it up, he hastily slid the green icon to the side and placed it to his ear.
“Hyung…” his voice echoed in her ear, a tone nearing breaking down, but he held on as long as he could. As long as the latter won't worry about him.
“Jisung, are you sure you're fine to go there?”
“Today is our anniversary, hyung. She will be happy to see me there”
The latter sighed “Alright, be careful. If anything, I’m here. ”
“I appreciate it, hyung”
He placed his phone back into his pocket and glanced at her once more before pulling the break, feet lightly stepping into the gear and leaving the house.
“Jisung..?” Her words hung in the thickening silent air.
No reply or bubbly humming, like he usually did.
He was an arm's length away from her.
But it felt like a concrete wall had built itself between them.
He was unreachable.
Her eyes searched for any remaining love in his orbs, but she found none. As if the person beside her was a stranger.
The radio was playing silently in the background. She raised the volume, and immediately, her eyes widened, looking at Jisung with excitement as the familiar beat bounced in the car.
“Hey, it's your song! I remember how nervous you were when you said this song is about me” A giggle bubbled out from her, but it faded when she saw tears pricking in the corner of his eyes; it hung there and never fell.
He was still holding on. Even though the thorns had embedded in his heart, causing it to bleed and slowly fall apart.
“It's our song, baby. You never accept that although I say it millions of times.” He whispered to himself. His heart ached at the memory, her giggle and smile.
She slumped back to the seat, hugging herself as the temperature around her dropped. The faint smell of the flowers wafted in the air — it was her favourite flower.
Soon, a graveyard rolled into his view and he parked the car beside a tree. Picking up the flowers on the back seat, he trudged his way to a place. She followed him closely from behind.
His steps stopped at a grave and the tears finally poured down to his cheeks.
The bits of his heart that he was collecting had fallen. He couldn't hold it anymore.
Her smile wavered as she peeked at her name carved into the gravestone.
Jisung settled on the grass, leaving the flowers beside her grave.
“Happy anniversary, baby. I’m sorry I was late. If I’m a bit early, you’re officially my wife, right?” He sniffled and smiled, a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.
“How are you? I hope the angels are taking care of you. They probably take care of you better than I am” he chuckles dryly, a slight sympathy to himself.
She kneeled beside him and wanted to wipe his tears off but her fingers just slipped through his face.
Ah. Could someone give her another chance to take care of him again?
“I’m sorry, Y/N. I didn't save you”
“Why are you blaming yourself, Jisung? You try to save me…”
“If I cut my leg that day, will you be alive by now?”
“Baby…none of this is your fault.”
A conversation with death always ends up pointless. They couldn't reply to you but at least it would help you to move on, wasn't it?
The flashback of that day winded back in his head.
They were on their way to their wedding ceremony.
Moments later, their car was tumbling out of the road, rolling off the cliff.
His legs were stuck under the heavy tree branches but he was breathing, barely
One glance to the side, his bride was unconscious, shattered glasses stabbing her in various places.
He blinked and he was back at the grave, forced to stare at her grave again. Yet, she was still by his side, staring at her name and her death date, unmoved. Her heart was begging for her to stay
But she knew she couldn't stay here any longer. Not where she no longer belonged to earth.
Wrapping her arm around his waist, she rested her head on his shoulder, eyes closing as she felt herself vanishing, bits by bits, from reality.
“I love you, Jisung. Always and forever”
A warm wind brushed his cheeks out of sudden, bringing a fond smile to him amidst the running tears. Raising his chin, his gaze was met with the soft blue sky. A white butterfly landed on his cheeks, its wings flipping graciously and swiped the tears off.
A light giggle escaped him as he closed his eyes, the thorns in his heart had untangled themself, letting his heart beat with ease. After a while, the butterfly flew away.
“You're here earlier, aren't you? Thank you for the comfort. I love you, always and forever, Y/N”

ON THE ROAD.
PART II
Bangchan, Han & Jeongin x reader. (s,f,a)
Chapters: Part I
Synopsis: A group of friends going on a road trip that, little did they know, will change their lives forever. (12,1k words)
ON THE ROAD PLAYLIST
Author's note: Sorry for the late post. Hope you enjoy this one too x
For a split second, you think, oh, this is it, this will be the last moment in your life as the car spins out of control then bam!
There's a moment of silence as everyone tries to comprehend what just happened until they know for sure that they're still breathing well and alive.
The first thing that Chan does the second he comes to his senses is check on everyone with a raspy voice tinted with concerns.
"Is everyone okay?"
Han helps Jinnie lift the cooler box that hits his foot, "We're okay, yeah," he answers for both himself and Jinnie.
"Can someone please check on my sister!" He pleads while lowly groaning in pain.
Han scrambles on his seat to look at you, "Are you—"
"I'm okay," you answer as you sit back and hold the side of your head from bumping into the headrest in front of you.
"Oh, thank God!" He breathlessly sighs.
Chan checks the one sitting next to him, he puts his hand on his shoulder and finds Jeongin with his hand pressed to his forehead.
"My head hits the window but I'm okay," he assures him.
Chan is pretty shaken after the accident, but luckily it's a minor one and the most important thing is everyone is fine. The concerns should be on Chan as Jeongin notices there's blood on his chin.
"Your chin," Jeongin points out.
It only occurs to him that he feels a stinging pain under his chin, he uses the back of his hand to touch it but Jeongin is quick to stop him.
"It's bleeding," he says, pulling a tissue from the box and gently, pressing it to his bleeding chin.
So what happens to the car is that one of the front tires hits a rock and it's slashed the whole thing until the rubber is completely torn, there's nothing anyone can do in this situation but call the road assistance to get it fixed.
Although they're all rattled, the car accident could have been much more dangerous than it was, and they are all extremely grateful for that.
"They'll be here in an hour," Chan informs as soon as he gets off the phone.
Jinnie comes up to him, gently grabs his hand, and makes him sit in the car, "Let's take care of your chin first," she says.
"I'm okay," he says to her yet he keeps his hand away from his chin.
Jinnie ignores her and gets to the back of the car to retrieve the first-aid kit. She returns a while later with it and turns the flashlight on her phone.
"Hold it for me," she hands the phone to Chan.
Chan obeys her, steadily holding it so Jinnie can start tending to his wound.
"It looks like you hit the steering wheel so hard it tears the skin," Jinnie says as she dabs ointment with so much carefulness.
"Is it that bad?" Chan asks, hissing as the ointment seeps into the wound.
"Well, you don't need stitches so that's a good thing," Jinnie says, tearing open a band-aid and then covering Chan's wound with it.
The constant sighs tell Jinnie that Chan feels guilty, he must be feeling that he caused all of this and being hard on himself about it. She checks the band-aid one more time and keeps her hand there, cupping his jaw.
"Hey, look at me!" She soft mutters.
Chan licks his lips and does what she says, looking at her and the orbs in her eyes.
"It's okay. Everyone is safe and you're safe, it's okay," she assures him.
The hand pressed to his cheek offers warmth and comfort, Chan feels it's useless now to worry about things that have happened. What matters is everyone is safe, including him and he should be thankful for that.
He puts his hand on hers and smiles at her for offering him comfort without him asking for it first and most of all, being a good friend she is.
"Thank you, Jinnie," he sincerely.
She lets out a shy chuckle and rushes to put everything back into the first-aid kit, "No need to thank me for that."
"Ahem..." you clear your throat and do it in exaggeration, knowing that you're interrupting a tender moment.
Jinnie turns on her feet to see you there, "Hey, are you hurt?"
"No, just want to check if there's a can of soda left in the cooler box?" You ask.
"I'll get it," Chan drags the box and rummages inside without looking.
A second later, he manages to take out a can, "It's the only one left."
"Thanks," you quickly mutter, taking it from him.
"I'll leave you to whatever it is you guys are doing," you add, getting a glare from Chan for that.
Carrying the can of soda with you, you make your way to Jeongin who sits on the grass on the side of the road. He's been rubbing his forehead since the accident and maybe a cold can of soda will help with the bump.
"Found the last can of soda in the cooler," you say, holding it out to him.
Jeongin looks at it in confusion but takes it from your hand nonetheless, "Thanks."
"I hope it helps for the bump on your forehead," you add, then sit on the grass next to him.
"Oh?" He seems to be surprised that the soda has another purpose, he holds it sideways and presses it onto the bump on his forehead.
"Is it still cold?"
"Not really."
Here comes the hesitation again. You want to say so many things to him but at the same, you feel like it's better to stay quiet and wait for him to start the conversation.
Someone joins in and takes the space next to you, Han with his pack of chocolate cones, "Do you want some?" He offers.
"I'm good. Thanks," you kindly refuse.
The road is rather empty, so far, only four cars have passed by since the accident and there are no buildings or houses in sight, nothing but trees and a field of grass.
Noticing that you're hugging yourself, Han quickly takes his jacket off and drapes it around your shoulders.
"Don't catch a cold," he says with slight concern, "We're going to see The Hare tomorrow, remember?"
You lowly chuckle at that and nod, "That's true."
Han leans back and props both hands behind him, head tilting up to see the night sky with the moon shining so brightly like one giant light bulb.
"Is it just me or does the adrenaline make you hungry too?" He sighs.
The road assistance came a little later than promised in the phone call, and they insisted on towing the car to the nearest car shop to fix it. As the mature figure in the group, Chan consults about the vehicle with the mechanic and he looks a bit displeased when he comes to face everyone.
"So guys there's bad news and good news," Chan announces.
"Does it matter? For all I know the good news might be a lie," Han jokingly answers.
Sadly, everyone is too tired to laugh at that and leaves the decision to Chan again.
"Bad news is the car can't be fixed until next morning," he informs.
"But that won't be a problem, right? Do we still have enough time to drive to the gig?" Han asks with a changed tone knowing that his possibility to see The Hare depends on this.
"Thankfully, yes," Chan answers.
"Then that's not bad news," Han says with a sigh.
"Okay, maybe I mixed that up with the actual bad news," Chan says, he seems to hesitate to continue talking.
"Just spill it, God! Christopher!" You impatiently say to him, not in the mood for suspense.
"I know that I said I booked us a hotel but based on circumstances, it seems like we have to sleep someplace else," he finally announces.
"That's not bad news!" Han protests again.
"The owner knows a cabin we can rent for the night and he offers to give us a lift there," Chan adds.
"See? That's not bad news after all!" Han comments again.
Everyone has to carry their belongings since the car will stay in the shop until tomorrow and turns out, that the bed & breakfast is located not far from the shop.
Seeing a diner across the street, Han's eyes light up and he grabs Chan by the sleeve of his t-shirt, "Can we grab a quick meal? I'm so hungry."
"Han, I think everyone is tired," Chan says while taking his bag out of the trunk.
"To be honest, I'm also hungry," you say, then adjust the strap of your bag on your shoulder.
Chan looks at you and then at Jinnie to seek her opinion, "I'm kind of hungry too," Jinnie says.
A grin blooms on Han's face knowing that Jeongin has no choice but to go with the majority, he can taste victory on his tongue even before Jeongin shrugs in defeat.
It's not even a restaurant, it's a karaoke bar and they're lucky that the kitchen is still open when they walk in. Everyone orders a meal right away and sits in one of the largest sitting available in the room.
"I shouldn't be eating this late..." Chan sighs as he sits next to you.
"Oh, my God! Your abs won't go anywhere!" You tell him with a sassy eye roll.
Yet Chan is the one who enjoys his dinner the most, he even blatantly steals some of your fries and you let them have it. You start to think that maybe it's right, the adrenaline rush from the accident caused everyone to get hungry after.
A pint of cold beer is something you don't know you needed and it feels so rewarding to have it after such a long, fulfilling day.
"We'll leave after we finish this round," Chan tells everyone.
Han who just came back from the bathroom, stopped by the table to gulp his beer, he looks like he's in a rush to do something.
"Finish your beer quick!" Chan says to him.
"We're leaving already?" Han asks with his round eyes widening.
"Why? You have something else to do?"
He wipes his hands down his jeans, "Yeah, I just signed up for a karaoke?"
"What?" Chan gasps in disbelief.
The stage lights up and someone gets to the mic, "We're having someone here who wants to sing a song for all of you," the man announces being greeted by a faint applause.
"Han! We need to leave," Chan scolds him.
Han finishes his beer and then takes a step back from the table, "I swear, it's just one song!"
"No. Get back here!" Chan scolds him more.
It's too late to stop him as the intro of the song starts to play and Han walks backward, his hands may have raised in defeat but a triumphant grin plastered to his face.
Once Han gets ahold of the mic, he looks at you and says, "Please wish me luck!"
You laugh and cup your hands around your mouth to shout, "Good luck!"
You must admit that Han looks good standing there and sings a rock song that suits his voice well, but what makes him stand out is his confidence as he carries the song, making it sound like it's his own.
"You're just like an angel. Your skin makes me cry..." Han sings directly to you and you get flustered at how he smiles at you after.
"But I'm a creep..." Han croons.
"Hannie is a creep," Jeongin chants after with hands in the air.
"I'm a weirdo..."
"Hannie is a weirdo," both Chan and Jeongin chant this time then burst into laughter.
Han is unbothered, he keeps on singing and carries the tune perfectly until the music fades out and eventually ends it with a rasp, low singing.
Despite them making fun of him in the middle of his singing, everyone gets to their feet and gives Han a big round of applause for his singing.
Han brightly smiles, teeth and gum and all, then he brings his mouth close to the mic as the intro of the next song plays.
"Chris, I lied. It's not just one song," Han admits with a stupid grin on his face.
Chan punches the air and exclaims, "I knew it!"
And despite the unpleasant incident that happened earlier, the day ended on a good note.
-
Everyone wakes up at noon the next day.
With no time to spare, Chan and Jeongin collect the car from the shop and pick up everyone afterward.
Breakfast and lunch become one and it's one hell of a chaos in the car as everyone eats and drinks. You open the wrapper before feeding it to Chan so he can take a bite of his chicken sandwich.
"Here, big brother," you say, using this as a chance to coddle him like a child.
As expected, he bites almost half of it in one bite and chews on it heartily while keeping both hands on the steering wheel.
"Fries!" He demands, opening his mouth so you can feed it to him.
You start to regret feeding him. You should know that as a brother, he knows to take advantage of the opportunity. You grab a few fries and shove them into his mouth.
"Mmh..." he hums in delight while you roll your eyes at him, annoyed.
"Drink!" He requests next.
"It's right next to your hand," you sneer, pointing to his drink sitting inside the cup holder.
You keep feeding him until there's nothing left but the food wrapper and as a good sister, you make sure he has nothing around his mouth by wiping it with a napkin.
Chan glances away for a second to grin at you, "Thank you, baby sist," he says in a sing-song tone.
From the back, you hear Han saying, "That should have been me."
"Keep dreaming!" Chan says while looking at Han through the rearview mirror.
You throw the trash into the plastic bag and dust off the crumbs on your lap, then reward yourself with a cup of dessert even though the ice cream is melted.
The day turns into a shade dimmer as it enters the afternoon hours, the road is somehow crowded and that's probably because you're not the only one heading to the secret gig. Seeing a big truck driving next to the car, an idea comes to mind.
"I heard that no one asks trucks to honk their horn anymore," you mutter at Chan.
"Why don't you try?" Chan says without looking at you.
Taking that as a challenge, you roll down your window and wave your hand to get the attention of the driver. After a while, he looks at you and you hurriedly make a gesture of pulling a lever with your hand to him. You doubt he'll do what you asked him but a second later, he honks the horn and it startles Han in the back.
"Whoa!" He shrieks in shock.
You and Chan look back at each other and burst out laughing at the same time. You give a thumbs-up to the truck driver as a thank-you and he honks one more time in response, sending Han startles on his seat again.
-
The secret gig seems to be not that secret with how many people come.
The venue is an outdoor amphitheater and half of it is already occupied with people. Chan and Jinnie are away to get drinks for everyone and the rest are waiting inside, sitting on the lower tribune.
Using Chan's absence as an opportunity to take another shoot at you, Han fixes his hair and puts on a smile for you before tapping your shoulder to get your attention.
In a second, you turn your head to the side at him, "Yes?"
"Have I told you you look beautiful today?" He asks.
"Thank you, Han," you say with a low chuckle and grip the edge of your seat, "You look great as well."
He cutely tilts his head to the side, "Yeah?"
Your eyes shift to his hair, noticing that he styled it differently today, and say, "Yeah, I like it when your hair is slightly tousled like that."
The smile on Han's face grows wider and brighter after hearing your flattering words.
"Does it make me look cool?"
"Yeah. It gives you that cool edge," you comment.
Han is already confident as he is but you make him feel like he can walk on water too. Everything becomes possible to him now, including getting to date his best friend's sister.
"I want to ask you something," he mutters to you, keeping the conversation low so Jeongin can't hear it.
You remove the strand of hair caught between your lips, "Okay. I'm listening."
"If Chan can call you baby sist– wait, I mean, he obviously can because he's your brother," he dillydally his way to the point and he knows if he keeps going, he'll turn into a blabbering mess.
"But since you're not my sister can I just call you... baby?" He finally asks with his hands balled into fists on his lap.
"You ask if you can call me baby?" You rephrase his question to confirm if you hear him right.
He nods and quietly gulps air.
You keep the side of your hair as the wind keeps making it a mess and pin it down to your shoulder.
"Sure. Why not?" You answer with a smile.
Han is aware that it doesn't mean that the two of you are officially dating but he's getting close to that, much closer and he holds the urge to not punch the air in triumph.
"Okay, yeah, baby," he says while awkwardly wiping his hands on his jeans and a foolish grin that plastered to his face.
The gig hasn't started yet but Han can already tell that it's going to be a good night.
-
It's called a secret gig for something as the band shared their unreleased tracks with the crowd that gathered under the starry night sky in an open amphitheater.
Chan is happy to be a part of it but not as happy as seeing his friends are there too and looking as happy, sharing this fond memory.
A hand linked around his arm and Chan turns his head to the side, seeing Jinnie smile at him.
"Oh, I'm so glad we came here!" Jinnie exclaims with a smile that shines brighter than the full moon in the middle of July.
He may be in the middle of a crowd but whenever Jinnie holds him, it suddenly feels like there are just two of them in this space and it's special.
Chan realizes that if he wants to make this even more special, he should tell her about his feelings and how he's been thinking of her more than just a friend.
The fireworks that go off in the sky light up the night, painting the dark of the night with bright, vibrant colors that dazzle all the eyes that witness it.
Next to him, Jeongin elbows Chan on the side and whispers, "It's a great time to tell her how you feel," he says.
Chan is stunned for a moment because it seems like Jeongin read through his mind. He considers his suggestion and it's at the tip of his tongue, begging to be uttered into spoken words.
"Jinnie?"
With a scintillating smile and sparkling eyes, she looks at him, "Yes?"
He muster up the courage to say all the things he's been hiding from her and tells himself it's time. He opens his mouth and says, "I want to say—"
More fireworks are setting off in the sky and the explosive sounds are so loud that he can't almost hear the song the band is playing at the moment.
When it finally quiets down, Jeongin sighs and lowly mutters, "Welp. There goes your chance..."
Chan might have missed his chance to utter his feelings but the night is still young and who knows? He may get a better chance as the night goes on.
-
Everyone is buzzing after the gig ends, smiling and laughing. Everyone is in an exceptionally good mood, everyone is high on dopamine.
On the way to the parking lot, Chan walks side-by-side with Jinnie, talking about the gig meanwhile Han tries to match his pace with you.
"Wait for me, baby!" He says to you.
You stop walking and chuckle at that, you hold out your hand at him, "Okay. Come here!"
He smiles back at you and then confidently puts his arm around your shoulders, "The new songs sound so good, don't you think?"
"Yeah. I like the uh... I forgot."
"Was it the second song?"
"Yes."
"I like that one too."
As for Jeongin, he's trailing behind his friends and watching them all from the back, feeling genuinely happy that everyone is just as happy.
The drive home feels like a float ride through the clouds. All windows are rolled down, letting the breezy summer air fill the car and making everyone feel like they're flying through the night sky as the car glides through the streets.
Arrived back at the rented cabin, everyone steps back into reality by putting their feet back on the ground but that doesn't make them less content. If anything, it feels like they have completed a rewarding, fulfilling day, one that they'll remember for life.
Except for Chan, he has one thing to do to fully define his day.
While everyone else heads straight into the cabin, Chan places his hand on the small of Jinnie's back, making her stop on her track and look at her.
"Do you want to hang out with me for a bit?"
Jinnie doesn't even think for a moment but says yes to his invitation, "I'm too excited to sleep anyway," she says.
There's a creek not far from the cabin and at this hour, it's so quiet that he can hear the faint sound of the water streaming down the river from the front porch.
"Guess what?" Jinnie asks.
"What?"
"It's just us two again," she answers.
For this time, they're alone because that's how it's supposed to be but Chan smiles at that nonetheless.
"We're like the parents," she says with a soft chuckle, "The others are sleeping and we're the only ones still awake."
This isn't the first occurrence, Chan feels like a father the whole road trip and Jinnie is always there to take some load off his shoulders like a dependable partner. This is one of the reasons why he's so sure that he finds a match in her.
"Anyway..." Jinnie continues as she rubs her hands together in front of her, "Thank you for this road trip. I'll treasure this for life."
It's good that Jinnie keeps talking because Chan still needs another moment to prepare himself for the big question. He turns his head to find Jinnie lets out a pleasant sigh then smiles at him.
One look at her eyes and Chan gets the conviction he needs, he swallows air, then gazes into Jinnie's eyes.
"Jinnie?" He softly calls her name.
Jinnie holds his gaze and says, "Yes?"
-
It's been a long night and physically, you're tired but mentally? You feel like you're still in that amphitheater with the other hundreds or so people, singing and cheering, having the times of your life.
In other words, you're overflowed with excitement to lay still and sleep.
There's only one bedroom in the cabin so the boys have been sleeping in the middle room, on the pull-out couch and sleeping bags. You come out of your bedroom and find Jeongin is still awake, in contrast to Han who seems to be deep in slumber from how loudly he snores.
"Hey," you lowly greet.
Jeongin looks like he's deep in thought when you come, his head snaps in your direction, and smiles when he realizes it's you.
"Hey," he greets back.
You hug yourself to shield yourself from the cool night air and join him in the kitchen, "Can't sleep?"
"Can't sleep when you're sleeping next to a drilling machine," he playfully answers with his head making a gesture at Han.
You softly laugh and rummage through the plastic bag to find anything to snack on, you find a can of lukewarm pineapple juice instead which you believe belongs to Chan.
"Where's Chris?"
Jeongin's head gestures the other way, to where he's looking out through the window, "He's outside," he answers.
Ah, that's why Jeongin is sitting on the window sill, he's eavesdropping on their conversation and no, you're not going to judge him for it because you walk up to him to do the same thing.
Through the window, you see Chan and Jinnie sitting next to each other on the steps of the front porch with the moon and stars shining down on them.
"Did he uhm... make a move yet?" You ask, lowering your voice so your presence remains hidden behind the window glass.
"Barely," Jeongin whispers since you're standing close to him.
You quietly sip your juice and hold it in both hands, unconsciously feeling nervous for him but at the same time, you know he can handle it. He's your big brother, after all, a reliable and trustworthy one.
"Grow some balls, Chris," you mutter, hoping that it'll telepathically deliver the message to him.

The night is getting late and Chan knows that time is running out.
There's no other way of doing it but by trying to fathom his thoughts and feelings into words and he'll try his best at doing it.
"Have you realized that when there's just the two of us we feel like we're more than just friends, because I do," Chan starts.
Jinnie's eyes falter a little but he guesses it must be from the shock that comes from hearing his confession.
"Years of friendship and one day, this new feeling appears that I know for sure is not something a friend feels to another friend and..." he pauses to draw a breath to not let him tremble in between words, "I don't know how to utter it because I don't want to lose you as a friend."
Chan can no longer read Jinnie's expression, her shock is mixed with something else but in her eyes, he can see that she's looking confused. She's not the only one, Chan has been confused by what he's feeling for so long.
"I miss you and I think of you when you're not around. There's not a day when I don't" Chan shares while bravely staring into Jinnie's eyes, "And tonight, in this lovely, starry night, I'm not confused anymore."
He licks his lips and finishes his sentence with the one question that begs to be cast out of his mouth.
"I like you, Jinnie, I like you so much."
It only makes sense if Chan gives her a moment to process so he gives her exactly that, he lets the words hang in the air between him and her, lets her catch it when she's ready.
Jinnie blankly stares at him then looks down at her palms, she puts a thin smile at him and says, "Thank you for telling me that, Chris."
However, Jinnie suddenly plants her face in both hands and cries.
It seems like she's not yet ready to answer so Chan smiles back and gently places his hand on her wrist, "You don't have to say—"
His first thought is that his confession makes her uncomfortable, he immediately puts his arm around her and tenderly rubs her back.
After a while, Jinnie lifts her head and he can see the tears rolling down her cheeks, glistening under the pale moonlight.
"I do have feelings for someone," she says between her sniffles.
His gut feeling says that he's not going to like what he's going to hear next but he keeps his head high and listen to the rest of Jinnie's sentence.
"I've been hiding my feelings for someone. I'm sorry," she apologizes again with fresh tears coming out of the corner of her eyes.
"But it's not you," Jinnie continues.
All the life seems to be drained out of Chan the second he hears Jinnie's confession and he's sitting there, skin and bones, a mere vessel. He can't even look at her anymore without hearing the sound of his heart breaking and shattering inside his chest.
"It's not you that I have feelings for," Jinnie says, hammering another nail that goes right into his heart.
"It's Han."
There goes another nail that goes deeper into his heart but instead of pain, Chan feels nothing and he doesn't want anything, anything but nothing.
"I have feelings for Han," she mentions the name with her glassy eyes reflecting the longing in it.
The picture may not be the one Chan hopes to see but once the pieces come together, it becomes clear to him that he's the one who's been missing the clues. Chan is so busy looking at Jinnie that he doesn't notice where her eyes are looking.
It makes him realize one thing: He may have been there for Jinnie all along but her heart is nowhere close to him.
-
The breath caught in your throat as you waited for Jinnie to answer Chan's question.
You hold the urge to chant "Say yes, say yes, say yes," so Jinnie can just go ahead and accept Chan's feelings and everyone can celebrate.
It's looking hopeful until you see Jinnie cry into her hands and what follows is devastating to hear.
"But it's not you."
You hear her say and all sorts of hopeful wishes vanish into thin air. But that's not even the worst part of it all.
"It's Han. I have feelings for Han."
It comes as a shock, not only to you but also to Jeongin. But you can't imagine what it feels like to be Chan, having to hear that his longtime crush likes someone else and not just someone, but his own best friend.
"I'm sorry, Chris," Jinnie cries, burying her face into Chan's neck.
"It's okay," he meekly says to her as he puts his arm around her.
Even with his heart obliterated, Chan still chooses to be kind. He wraps his arm around Jinnie and holds her close. You can't even tell whose heart is breaking and who's trying to console who.
That has been Chan's problem: He has a kind heart and a kind heart is prone to heartbreak.
Oh, your heart aches so much that you can't watch anymore, you close your eyes like it would make it disappear and instead, you feel hot tears start streaming down your face.
Jeongin gently grabs your elbow and pulls you into his arms, shielding you from whatever it is that makes you feel sad. Are you crying for your brother or the fact that Jinnie likes Han? He doesn't know but he hopes his warm embrace is enough to console you.
Out of everything that happens, no one notices that Han stopped snoring a while ago.
-
The silence that lingers in the cabin is deafening. Everyone is lying in their space but it's unclear if anyone is sleeping.
It's not her fault that she doesn't have the heart to love your brother back but as she's lying on the bed with you, you can't look at her without thinking of her as the girl who broke your brother's heart.
Through the window, you see the sun show the slightest sign that it's going to come out soon. You get up from the bed and quietly make your way out of the room.
As expected, Chan is not where you thought he was. He's not on the front porch so you try to find him in the back, going out through the kitchen door and that's where he is, sitting by himself on the wooden steps. You walk up to him and then gently place your hand on his shoulder to not startle him.
Chan seems surprised but kind of expects that it's you, he scoots to the side to make space for you to sit.
"What are you doing out? It's cold," you say, standing on the steps instead of sitting.
"Can't sleep," he simply answers.
If you were him, you wouldn't be able to sleep too. He doesn't have to say anything for you to know that he's not okay. However, it feels wrong to talk about it right away.
Besides, the sun is about to rise and it's only fair that you give this moment to the sun that's about to reveal herself and claim the day.
"Want to take a walk?"
He draws a long breath and then lets it out, "Yes."
The two of you follow the path that takes you to the creek and sit on a boulder together, enjoying the warm rays of the sun that slowly climbs its way high to the sky. You link your arm with him and slowly, you rest your head on his shoulder and let the silence settle in one more time.
"Hey, do you want to know something?" You ask out of the blue.
"What?" Chan asks back.
"Why I don't want you to call me baby sist anymore?"
He hisses with a grimace on his face, "No. I actually don't want to know."
You pull your head away from his shoulder and pout, "Okay. Fine."
Chan pulls you by the arm, not letting you get away from him, "Baby sist, please, tell me why?" He teases you.
You look at him and smile before answering him, "Because I'm not a baby anymore."
"That's disappointing," Chan sighs, disappointed by your answer.
"That's the main point. I'm a grown woman now."
"Wait, are you...? You're not pregnant, right?"
He is sad yet he still can make a joke and that only makes your heart ache more for him. You slap his arm hard enough that it makes a loud slapping sound.
"Ouch! That hurts!" He shrieks in pain.
"You deserve that!" You tell him and land another slap on his arm.
"Okay, not pregnant, noted!" He says as he rubs the mark on his arm from the slapping.
Since he ruined your mood, you refrain from talking further and sulk. He nuzzles his head into your neck and hugs you from the side.
"Come on. Tell me," he says with a grin on his face.
"No. You're just going to make fun of me again," you grumble.
He pokes your cheek with his index finger and tickles your ear after, "Come on! I'm listening!"
You shrug your shoulder but he holds your arm close, not letting you get away from him.
"Just stop calling me baby sist!" You demand.
"If you tell me why, I'll do what you say," he offers his pinky finger at you as a token of promise.
You cave in and let out a sigh, "First is because I'm not a baby anymore and you don't have to protect me all the time."
Chan's forehead wrinkles in question because your answer is not far different from your former answer, "You said that—"
"Also because I want you to know that I'm big enough to protect you now," you cut him off with a heartfelt statement.
It's hard not to get emotional when you speak from deep within your heart, and it's even harder because you rarely have deep talks like this with him.
"I want you to stop hiding things from me cause I would know when you're hurt, sad, or angry..." you pause to swallow air to keep the lump in your throat down.
"You can come to me, Chris, and I'll protect you," you tell him with your eyes glossy with tears.
The grin on Chan's face disappears in a second, the glints in his eyes dim and it feels as if he just decided to drop the veil and let himself be seen.
"I'll protect you," you say again as the tears get
A sad smile appears on his face and you know that he's thankful for it but a part of feels guilty for sharing this sadness with you because as a brother, it's in his nature to only want to share only the good with you, not the bad, bitter part.
"Come here," you say, putting your arm around him and pulling him close.
The second Chan lets himself be vulnerable, he melts right away into your arms and lets himself drown in your warm embrace. People rely on him a lot and he often forgets that sometimes, he needs to rely on someone too and he finds that someone in you, his own sister.
"It's going to be okay, Chris," you mutter as you rub his back in soothing patterns.
He must admit that it feels good to just let go and let someone else bear the pain together with him.
"It'll pass," you mutter again with a gentle squeeze on his arm.
He looks at you with eyes that overflow with fondness, "Thank you, sist."
You let out a low chuckle, "You're very welcome, big brother."
This moment of vulnerability reminds him that what makes him stronger is not how much he can take but how well he can overcome things.
"Want to listen to music?" You offer while taking your phone out of your jacket pocket.
Chan nods and then watches as you scroll through your playlist to pick a song.
"You have a lot of playlists," he comments.
"These are all from Han's," you inform.
He turns your phone screen to him to read the title of the playlist, "Han's Special Mix vol. 15. How many of these did he send you?" He asks in disbelief.
You scroll to the very bottom of the list and read it out loud, "The last one he sent is vol. 34," you answer with a chuckle.
"Gosh! He's so pathetic," Chan groans and looks away.
"No, actually he has great taste in music," you say with a sly smile.
Chan lifts his head to glare at you, in disbelief that you just defended Han instead of him.
"And he has a good sense of humor, unlike someone I know," you sneer as you continue scrolling.
"I can't believe you defend him rather than your brother," Chan complains.
"I'm not defending anyone. I'm simply stating facts," you correct him.
"Yeah, but I bet he can't be as half as a good brother I am," he cockily remarks.
You chuckle again and look at him, "That's true."
Most of the time, he would take your answer as sarcasm but he knows you mean it and he feels acknowledged, moreover, he feels loved.
He feels a sudden cuteness aggression, he pinches your cheek even though you're whining and begging him to stop.
"I think this song fits the atmosphere," you say, hitting the play button
The second the song begins, you put your head against him and both of you decide to be present in the moment, absorbing everything with all of your senses from the beautiful view, the fresh, morning air, the warm morning sun, the sound of the trickling water and the company of another human being next to you.
"Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life?"
The song makes him realize that everything in his life that he's been building could come crashing down at any time and pain is inevitable, but that shouldn't stop him from being grateful for everything good in his life.
After all, there's no good without the bad. Every moment in his life is made of those two things, a mix of both good and bad, most of the time, one is dominant than the other but that's life.
"Well, I've been 'fraid of changin' 'cause I've built my life around you. But time makes you bolder. Even children get older. And I'm gettin' older, too."
But there's one thing that Chan fears in his life: Change. He holds your hand tighter because, after today, he can feel that things are about to change.
-
The sun shines through the windows hits Jinnie right in the eyes and forces her to wake up from her slumber.
There are four other people in this cabin but it's so quiet, not even the sound of Han's snore or Jeongin playing games on his phone, nothing. She washes up in the bathroom quickly and immediately checks on everyone's whereabouts.
The living room is empty, there are only pillows and blankets strewn on and around the couch. The kitchen is bare except for a pot of coffee in the middle of the table. She reckons everyone is outside so she opens the front door and finds Han there, standing and looking out at the view.
"Morning," Jinnie softly greets as she walks up to him.
Han turns his head to the side and a soft smile blooms on his face, something different about the gaze though, it evokes something in her that makes her heart leap.
"Where's everyone?" She asks, standing next to him and also looking at the row of trees swaying along to the gusts of wind.
"Chris and his sister taking a walk to the creek," he informs, shifting his weight to one foot and putting his hand against the wooden pole.
Jinnie must admit that she feels good about not seeing Chan, she already feels bad for rejecting him and she can't bear to see him after what she did last night. Knowing that she's in the presence of the reason why, she remains calm.
"And Jeongin?"
"He uhm..." he pauses to scratch his chin, "He went to buy breakfast."
"You need to shave," Jinnie says, noticing the growing stubble with his hand unconsciously reaching for his chin.
Han immediately catches her hand before she gets to touch him and their eyes meet in a gaze, a gaze that unlocks the windows to the soul.
It's the first time that Han sees Jinnie eye to eye and he can finally see the secret that lies deep within. Hearing what she said last night makes him come to a realization that he indeed has feelings for her too but he knows better not to entertain it because Chan is the man for Jinnie, not a loser like him.
But now he knows that there's no such thing as a right or wrong person, it's a matter of heart and who it speaks to and who it calls and yearns to be answered.
As for Jinnie, her smile fades as she realizes that he sees right through her now, he sees the yearning and the longing, the echo of her feelings that were left unanswered for only God knows how long. She's been comfortable hiding that the moment Han gives her the eyes, she feels bare and exposed, as fragile as a flower on a windy day.
"Han, I—"
Han cuts him off with a smile and says, "I know."
He then takes her hand and lets it drop between them, slowly, he slips his fingers through the spaces of her fingers and laces their hands together and it feels right, it feels as if he should have done it a long time ago.
Han looks at her and smiles, let it be known that he has answered the call of her heart.

A WEEK LATER
This is why Jeongin doesn't like being the middle man but he has no other option. His friends haven't been talking to each other ever since that road trip and he's the only one who can settle this down. Also, he'll be going abroad soon, he can't leave his friends like this.
Jeongin takes the high road and decides to visit one of them, trying to assess what the issue is. Well, it's obvious that it's because the two of them started dating each other but he needs the main reason why they can't be normal friends again despite the change of relationship status.
Jeongin takes the train to get to where Chan lives, he knocks on his apartment door and keeps doing it until he opens the door.
"Oh, Jeongin," Chan says in a rather surprised tone, "you didn't tell me you're coming."
Jeongin doesn't wait until Chan permits him, he enters his apartment and finds that he's packing his things.
"Just like you didn't tell us that you're going somewhere?"
Chan closes the door and sighs, "I'm not going anywhere."
"Then what's all this?" Jeongin asks, pointing at the stacks of books tied together.
"I'm not going abroad like you, I mean," Chan corrects himself.
He sits down on the bare bed and puts things into a box, "I got a job offer so I decided to also move into a new place closer to where I'll be working," Chan explains.
He stops packing and moves the box to the side with his foot, "I told you guys in the group chat."
"Well, yeah, that's the problem, you only texted us that you got a new job and that's it."
"What else am I supposed to tell you guys?"
"I don't know. Maybe a new foreign movie you just watched and liked," Jeongin mindlessly answers.
He leans against the study desk and plays with the stress ball in his hand, "Have you ever thought that maybe we want to know how are you doing?"
Chan lets out a dry chuckle and sighs again, he looks not well but not bad either, what obvious is he has a lot on his mind.
"Are you okay, Chris?"
"If I have to be honest... no, I'm not okay," Chan honestly answers.
As expected, Chan is not okay and that was what caused the group's equilibrium to be askew. He's the one who leads, guides, and makes the call for everyone, he's the real glue that sticks everyone together.
"But I will be... eventually," Chan adds as he rubs his forearm anxiously.
"The thought of them together bothers you?" Jeongin carefully asks.
"No," he answers without a beat, "I just need time. I need more time."
"And space too, apparently," Jeongin adds, ignoring that it may offend him.
"Nah... yeah," Chan doubtfully answers.
Understandably, Chan needs more time to process everything, especially in this case where the girl he likes ends up dating his own best friend. Must be hard to see them together and trying to be okay with it.
That thought leads Jeongin to something else, he doesn't know how else can he ask it but since it's around that topic, he figures it's normal for him to ask.
"And how's your sister doing?" Jeongin curiously asks.
Chan picks up his socks and rolls them into a ball, "What about her?"
"You know, is she okay about seeing them together too?"
"Huh?"
"Huh?"
Why this is confusing? Chan only needs to tell him if you're doing okay or not. But it seems like he needs to explain it to him too.
"She looked heartbroken that night," he shares.
Chan's eyebrow raises in question, "Wait, do you really think that she likes Han?"
"Wasn't it obvious?" Jeongin asks back with an awkward laugh.
Chan is the one who's laughing now, he shakes his head and props his hands against the bed frame, "She likes you."
Funny that he doesn't expect to hear it from Chan but that doesn't make him less surprised. You were so close with Han, you joked a lot and looked comfortable around him, in contrast to whenever you were with him like there was this invisible line that you didn't want to cross.
"I–I don't think, I..."
Chan laughs again and looks at him, "She likes you and I know you like her back."
What Chan said gets Jeongin tongue-tied, he didn't know that Chan would find out about his feelings for you because he's been hiding it well.
"I didn't really mean it when I said I don't want any of you to date my sister, if anything, I want her to date a good man like you," Chan earnestly says.
The chance is there, the permission has been granted but time, it's time that shatters the dream. Jeongin will be leaving and it's too late to tell you how he feels now.
"I'm leaving soon, Chris," he reminds him.
"I know," Chan clasps his hands together in front of him, "but let me ask you something."
Jeongin stands on his feet as if he knows that this question will determine his life. He waits for Chan's question in anticipation.
"Are you willing to wait for two years to tell her how you feel?"
As Jeongin stares back at Chan, he gets reminded of the lesson that he learned from Chan's experience, he can't risk keeping his feelings to himself for too long. He needs to take that leap and regardless of what the answer may be, at least, he'll have no regret doing it.
"You know what, I'll text you her address," Chan says as he's picking up his phone.
-
It's his third time knocking on your door and Jeongin thinks that if he knocks one more time, you'll find it annoying. He has your numbers and he can easily call you, but his fingers hesitate to press the call button.
"It's now or never," Jeongin reminds himself.
Time is running out, he only has today and tomorrow he has to leave on a plane. He fumbles to hit the call button and the phone almost slips out of his hand when he's about to press it close to his ear.
It could be a coincidence but he hears someone's phone rings and the sound is getting louder and louder, coming toward him.
He walks to the stairs and finds you climbing the stairs, carrying boxes in front of you which explains why you can't pick up the call.
Jeongin hurriedly hangs up the phone as you arrive at the top of the stairs.
"Jeongin? Hi!" You greet with a confused tone.
"Hi! It's me. I'm the one who just called you," he says, instantly regretting not stopping at 'hi'.
"Oh? Well, I... are you?" You put down the boxes on the floor so you can unlock the door to your apartment.
Once the door clicked open, you push the door open and keep it ajar to let him in, "Come in!"
Jeongin follows you inside and awkwardly stands in the kitchen as you place the boxes on top of the counter. He has something to say but doesn't know what to do.
"Have you been waiting long?" You ask.
"No. Not long," he nervous answers.
"I need to collect my packages at the post office," you explain as you saunter to the fridge, opening it to showcase a selection of drinks to him, "Juice? Soda? Beers?"
"Just water," Jeongin answers and feels bad for choosing something that isn't in your offers.
You close the fridge and open the cabinet to get a glass, talking as you pour water into it, "So, how are you?"
"I'm good. You?"
"Just busy working, I guess," you answer, coming up to him to give him his glass of water.
"Thanks," he mutters.
Jeongin takes it and takes a small sip just to be polite, he's actually too nervous to do anything. He's not the type to dillydally, he comes for one thing and he's going to do it.
But you're already turning around to get yourself a glass of water too.
"Chris said you'll be leaving tomorrow," you say while leaning against the kitchen counter.
"Yes," he hastily.
"Oh?"
Maybe this is why the invisible line exists because Jeongin never gives you any signs that he has feelings for you and he's been doing the opposite instead.
But right now, he dares himself to cross that line and approaches you.
"I have something to tell you," he says.
"Oh?" You lowly exclaim, noticing the serious expression on his face and hurriedly put your glass down.
Jeongin quietly takes a deep breath and muster up the courage to speak out not just mind, but also his feelings.
"I like you," he blurts out.
"Oh..." you say while blankly staring into his eyes.
Not the reaction he expected but maybe he needs to say it again to let you know that he means it, every word of it. He tries again and this time, he takes your hand and holds it in his.
"I like you. I don't know for how long but I like you and I'm sorry that I didn't make it known that I have these feelings for you, I just..." he can't believe that he finds himself at a loss for words.
"Afraid of my brother?" You wildly guess the rest of his sentence and crack a laugh.
That makes Jeongin laugh too and he's glad that you don't take it seriously, he's already nervous as it is.
"Yeah, that too," he playfully answers.
His hand reaches for your face and endearingly, he brushes your hair away from covering your face, "I'm just not sure if you have feelings for me too."
You nod and softly smile at him, "I like you too," you simply answer.
"But...?" Jeongin pokes fun at you.
"There's no but, but... knowing that you'll leave soon, I just didn't think that you'd say it and I'm obviously too cowardly to say it to you so..." your words trail off and you end it with a small shrug.
Jeongin likes how open you are to him and that makes it easier for him to communicate his feelings with you, there's no beating around the bush, it's just two open hearts talking to each other.
Jeongin drags his hand down your jaw and cups it, "Well, I like you and I want you to like me too."
You hold the hand holding your jaw and smile, "I like you too."
Jeongin doesn't waste a second to lean in and kiss you, a kiss that is such a long time coming, a kiss that he dreams about either asleep or awake. A kiss that answers his doubts and worried mind. A kiss that makes his wait finally come to an end and a kiss that makes two hearts become one at last.
-
The afternoon sun casts a hazy glow on your naked body as he places kisses on every inch of your skin, from head to toe, marking it as his as he knows he'll yearn and long for it soon.
As his lips land on your inner thighs, he finds your moans become heavy and hoarse, and that's how he knows he kisses you on the sensitive part of your body.
"Oh..." you breathlessly moan as his lips inch closer to where you want him the most.
He ignores the hand that tugs at his hair and tries to stop him from keeps going, he places a long kiss on your inner thigh before finally landing a kiss right on your clit, ever so gently.
"Oh, God..." Your waist lifts off the bed, reacting to the stimulations of his tongue repeatedly running down your slit.
He retracts his mouth only to touch you with his fingers, lightly circling your clit with just the tip of his finger.
"Do you like that?" He softly asks you.
"Yes," you answer with an eager nod.
The answer makes him eager to please you more, he sucks and licks, using his slick tongue to make you even more drenched than you already are.
Jeongin dives deeper into you, his nose pressing on your clit so good you keep arching your back, seeking more of him. He curves his arms under your thighs and lays his hands flat on your abdomen, keeping you down as he opens his mouth wider to take more of you.
He uses his tongue and swirls it as he goes deeper into you, he's only teasing your entrance but it's enough to take you closer to your release.
"Oh!" Your breath hitches as he sucks hard on your clit.
Your hand tugs harder at his hair as he relentlessly sticks his tongue in and out of you, and at times, pressing his nose on your clit for the utmost pleasure.
"I'm close. I'm close," you breathlessly mutter to him with your eyes closed.
Jeongin doesn't respond but keeps going, using his lips and tongue, alternating between sucking and licking until you come undone against his mouth.
"Oh, Gosh!" You cry as you grip the sides of your pillow with your eyes screwed shut, overwhelmed by pleasure.
He places gentle kisses on your thighs and one last kiss on your clit before crawling over to you. He kisses your open mouth, kissing you hard and deep until your head falls onto the pillow again.
"That was so good," you murmur against his lips with a sly smile.
"Yeah?"
"Mmh-hmm," you nod, kissing him back on the lips.
Jeongin smiles hearing that he did a good job of pleasing you and now, he's enjoying your kisses and the kitten licks in between as his chin and mouth are coated with your essence.
Your hands are roaming around his body and feeling him all over, your soft hands on his warm skin and lips that are constantly locked with each other.
Eventually, your hand meets his hardening member, and not hesitate to wrap your hand around it, slowly stroking it as you continuously return his kisses.
You break the kiss to say something to him, "The condom is in the bedside drawer."
He pecks your lips and answers, "Okay."
"I'll get it," you offer, twisting your body to the side to be able to reach the drawer. You rummage inside to get a condom out of the box.
He takes it from you and carefully rips the foil wrapper open with his hands, not risking accidentally tearing through the rubber. He put a lot of focus on putting it on his length next.
"I hope it fits," you say.
"You think it won't fit?" He asks you as he rolls the rubber down his length.
"I just think that yours is bigger than average," You say with a nonchalant shrug.
That shouldn't make him blush but he can feel his ears get hot and he guesses they're reddening as well. He decides not to respond and continues to focus on the task at hand.
All of a sudden, you grab his chin and kiss him so hard on the lips that your teeth almost collide with his.
"You're so cute when you're shy," you say with a smile.
And that only makes him flustered.
"Do you need help?"
"No, it's done," he says after making sure he puts the condom on properly.
As he sits on the bed, you put your legs on each side of him and your hands on his chest, then you stare at him with fondness pooling in your eyes.
"We've been waiting too long for this, don't you think?" You ask him, your hand glides down to his chest and rests it there, right on his beating heart.
"Too long," he answers, then leans in to give you a long, lingering kiss while sending you to lay on your back again.
With the soft sunlight that shines through the window, he can see your body in all its glory, the ample flesh that invites him to grab at it, and miles of silky skin that tempt him to touch. They're all heavenly, every inch of you is made in heaven.
However, what Jeongin finds the most arousing is the sly smile and the intense gaze that you're giving him right now. He can see the lust, want, and greed in them but if he looks deeper, he can also see the fragile part of you that needs to be treated gently and attentively.
He lowers himself on you and your arms welcome him, his lips instantly locked with yours again, baked bodies tangling around each other on the mess of your bed.
A loud gasp slips out of your mouth as he slowly enters you and his focus is divided between pushing his length into you little by little and making sure you're okay.
"Okay?" He asks you.
"Mmh-hmm," you hum in answer with your mouth parted open.
He looks down and sees that almost all of his length disappeared into you, "Just a bit more."
Your hand grips his shoulder with your nails dug into the flesh, also looking down as Jeongin pushes the remaining length into you.
"Oh..." he lets out a raw groan the second he bottomed out inside you.
The slightest movement and you can feel each other, his whole size inside you and the way his cock wrapped tightly in your velvety walls.
Jeongin closes the gap between your bodies and your legs hooked around his waist, lips locking, skin brushes against the skin, hands intertwined, and bodies connected as one.
He is high in pleasure from the moment you let him in, and he's getting higher and higher, he feels untouchable. But the only thing that keeps him grounded is your lips that continuously lather his.
The room is now filled with skin-slapping sounds mixed with both your moans and the occasional creaks of the bed from the excessive activity.
"You can go harder, baby," you tell him.
He can't which one makes him blush more, the fact that you've just called him by a name or you letting him thrust into you harder.
Flustered, he handles it by kissing you as he quickens the pace, making him lose more of his self-control. How you clench around him isn't helping either, he's holding on to his last shred of sanity.
A rough kiss lands on his neck, he can feel your teeth grazing his skin too. Then you press your mouth close to his ear to whisper filthy things.
"Oh, you're so deep inside me."
"I can feel you all over me, baby."
"Don't stop, please!"
Jeongin is on the brink of losing it all but he remains steadfast, using all of his strength to keep going. Somehow his body only knows how to follow the desire within and thrusts into you even faster than before.
"Keep going, yeah, baby," you encourage him, pulling your knees higher to provide him more depth.
He glances down and sees his cock slipping in and out of you, and at the same time, feels how good you are around him. Oh, and you take him so fucking well.
Sensing that he can no longer hold himself back, you place a haste kiss on his lips and say, "It's okay. You can cum, baby."
With that being said, Jeongin lets his body take over and control him and lets his desire take him where he needs to be: to his release.
You hold him tightly as he comes into his high and let him bury his head in your neck as waves of pleasure wash over him.
With such affection, you cradle his head close to yours and kiss the top of his head, "So what do you think?"
Exhausted and flustered, he turns his head to look at you, "Huh?"
"Sleeping with your best friend's sister is kind of hot, huh?" You poke fun at him.
Jeongin sleepily smiles with his eyes forming two lines, he props his elbow against the mattress and then looks down at you. For a second, he can't believe that he's here and he's with you, naked under the cover together, and you look at him, your eyes shining only for him.
He lovingly kisses you with all of his heart and pulls away with a soft smile, "Wait for me, okay?"
You smile back at him and say, "I'll wait for you."
-
The airport is bustling with people dragging their luggage around as you sit on the bench, waiting as Jeongin checking in.
You've been texting Chan to let him know what time Jeongin has to board the plane and that way, he won't be late. It's unclear whether he'll come or not, he's not responding to your texts since this morning.
"I forgot my neck pillow," Jeongin says when he returns.
You get up from the bench and stand in front of him, "I'm sure we can buy one from one of the shops."
"Nah, it's okay," Jeongin says as he shoves his ticket and passport back into his backpack.
"Let's wait near the gate," he says, offering his free hand for you to take.
Both of you walk through the crowded airport hall toward his boarding gate, holding hands with Jeongin dragging his luggage behind him.
The two of you spent the whole night together and it felt so short. You feel sad because you want to spend more time with him but you know he's going for something he's been dreaming of doing.
It would be unfair to ask him not to go, he earned this and as a good partner, you have to support him as best as you can. Ignoring that you're in a public space, you put your arms around him and pull him close.
"If I told you to not go, would you do it?" you jokingly ask.
"No," he answers without a beat.
"Good call!" You say with a pout.
He places his hand on the small of your back and places a quick peck on your lips, so quick that it feels more like a graze on the lips.
"You're going to leave for two years and that's what I get?" You complain.
He lets go of the handle of his luggage to properly hold you, pulling you close until there's no gap left between your bodies. He looks around to see if anyone is looking his way and witnessing this public display of affection.
"What should I do?" You ask in distress.
He looks down at you and asks in confusion, "What is it?"
"I miss you already," you say with a sly smile.
He finds you cute when you're smiling for him, only for him and he wishes he could fold you, and then tuck you into his suitcase to take you with him.
"I'll call you," he convinces.
"Every day?" Your voice is muffled as your face is buried in his chest.
"Not every day but maybe once every two days?" He jokingly says.
You slap his chest hard enough he yelps in pain, "Just know that Chris will break you into halves if you break my heart," you warn him.
His shoulders shake as he laughs, he tilts your head and without warning, he presses a kiss on your lips. His lips gently brush yours and he uses his tongue next to pry your mouth open that way he can deepen the kiss.
Jeongin puts all of his heart into that kiss so you can keep it and soon, he'll come back to retrieve it.
"What the fuck am I seeing?" Someone exclaims from behind him.
Jeongin reluctantly breaks the kiss to see who it is and finds his friends there, Han and Jinnie with their hands intertwined.
"It's such a strange scene," Han sighs in disbelief as he comes up to him for a friendly hug while you do a quick cheek-to-cheek with Jinnie.
"I liked her but then she likes me and then I like her back and then you like her and she likes you back," Han says with hands busy pointing at everyone as he speaks.
"Just shh..." Jinnie shushes him and he shuts his mouth right away.
"Wow, finally! Someone to tame Han!" Jeongin sarcastically says.
As everyone exchanges pleasantries, you nervously check your phone to see if Chan has responded to your texts. He can't possibly miss the chance to see his best friend before he leaves for two years, right?
"Where's Chris?" Jinnie asks without the slightest awkwardness in her voice.
"He uhm... he's on his way, I guess," you doubtfully say.
Jeongin takes your hand and squeezes it, he leans into your side and lowly speaks, "I'll understand if he's not coming."
"No, he'll come," you say, more like you're convincing yourself with it.
"Yeah, he'll come," Han confidently says and you wish you had his confidence.
But after a while, there's no sign of him, no text and he's not answering your call, and Jeongin has to enter the gate soon. You realize that you should stop believing that he'll come and use the remaining time to properly say goodbye to Jeongin.
"You know what, I think you're right, he's not coming," you say as you brush your hair out of frustration.
Jeongin pulls you to his side and places a kiss on the top of your head, "I told you it's okay."
You go into Jeongin's arms and let him hold you for as long as possible, drinking in his scent that offers you a sense of comfort.
"Am I late?"
Recognizing the voice, your head snaps to the back and finds Chan there, bending down with his hands on his knees, running out of breath.
"Where have you been?" You scold him, feeling like crying to finally see him there but instead of that, you land a slap on his shoulder.
"Ow! I went to the wrong gate," he concisely explains.
"I thought you—" You stop yourself from finishing your sentence, it's not your place to let his friends know how he's been handling things.
"You didn't reply to any of my texts and my calls!" You scold him more and pinch his arm.
"Stop hurting me!" He yelps in pain.
Chan stands up straight and walks up to his friends, "It's been so long you guys," he says with a smile.
"Chris..." Jinnie says, her eyes are glassy with tears.
"We missed you, man," Han says with a relieved smile.
Jinnie can't help herself anymore, she goes to hug Chan and Han follows suit with Jeongin as the last one to join in, turning it into one big, group hug.
In the end, there's no such thing as love over friendship or vice versa, because in a friendship, you have to have the heart to love, and to love is to give and not ask in return.
You feel lucky to witness something as pure and genuine as their friendship, and lucky that you find love in something pure and genuine.
When it's time to leave, everyone takes turns to give Jeongin a hug and you're the last one to give him not just a hug, but also one last kiss that makes your heart hurt.
"Take care, okay?" You say to him with a sad smile.
"I'll be back soon," Jeongin promises and leans in for another kiss.
"This is so weird," Chan comments and looks away.
"I know," Han says, but he intently watches as Jeongin kisses you like a pervert.
You take a step back after and Chan kindly takes you, putting his arm around you as everyone waves their hands at Jeongin.
"See you guys," Jeongin says with a warm, hopeful smile and then leaves his friends with an eased heart.
This is just a matter of distance and everyone knows that their friendship can survive this too, whatever it is, as long as they're together.
"You okay, sist?" Chan asks, genuinely concerned for you.
"I'm okay," you answer with a smile.
Han gets ahead of everyone to announce something, "Guys, I just signed a deal with a label," he casually drops the big news.
"What? That's amazing!" You exclaim in joy, coming to hug him.
You elbow Chan's side to make him congratulate him too but instead of that, he says, "Are you saying you're going to treat us to lunch?"
"Oh, yes, let's have something expensive for lunch," Jinnie says, getting in between you and Chan and linking her arms with both of you.
"That's a great idea!" You say with an eager nod.
Han's eyes widen in horror but his being outnumbered only means that he has no other choice but to fulfill his friends' request.
"But I-I only received like half of... the sum of the..." Han stammers as he explains.
"Oh, come on, one lunch won't be that expensive," Chan says, grabbing his arm to walk together out of the airport.
After a moment, Chan stops walking and everyone has to stop walking too.
"What is it?"
"We have to walk to gate 8 because that's where I parked my car," he says with a grimace.
"And where are we?" Han asks in confusion.
"We're at gate 4," you answer with also a grimace.
"Oh, fuck!"

Got it Bad
Poe Dameron x Fem! Reader
Summary: You are a medic aboard the Anodyne, a Resistance frigate frequented by one Poe Dameron. He often comes to see you when he is injured; you assume this time to be no different, as he is reckless in the line of duty and could do with your healing touch. But you have underestimated him; he has to show you something. Will you entertain his request?
Warnings: Explicit / NSFW 18+ for: Heavy petting, cunnilingus, PiV sex, kissing, blood and injury, premature ejaculation, dirty talk, medical scenarios, and mention of death in wartime. Contains: fluff, a liiittle bit of angst, smut, humor, and “love” confessions.
Notes: This is my first time writing for Poe Dameron! Dedicated to @allsystemsblue, because she was the one who told me to! Poe is all over the place in this, but always about consent!
Word Count: 8.1K
Divider and banner by me.
“How many times has it been, then?”
Doe brown eyes blinked once, twice, spidery lashes that may as well have been made of gossamer, or silk, gracing tawny skin with a kiss. Poe Dameron stared blankly at you as you dressed his wound, this being one of the numerous occasions that you were tasked to do so.
You were one of the many medics aboard this particular Resistance vessel that patrolled the Outer Rim. Stationed not too far from D’Qar and the principal base of General Organa herself, this reckless, daredevil pilot had a tendency to bless you with his presence after what you would call less than routine missions.
Not desiring to arrive to his superior a bloodied mess more than necessary, Poe frequently docked his T-70 star fighter in your frigate’s docking bay for safekeeping, allowing his droid companion free rein of the halls. Moments earlier, BB-8 had been offered a recharging station, Dameron left in your expert care as his ball droid rolled off and out of sight, following closely behind a member of the maintenance crew. The conversation between the two had been amusing to witness.
“Don’t worry, buddy! I’ll be right here waiting for you. Maybe. Possibly.”
BB had issued a series of complaints and reprimands in Droidspeak, causing the pilot to wince as if being scolded by his mother, or the general herself.
“All right, fine! I’ll come and find you then. No sweat.”
Satisfied, the orange and white orb had swirled on its axis, wheeling fluidly across a duralloy floor, leaving its master alone to suffer the consequences of his actions. Though Dameron did not seem to care, remaining somewhat unbothered by the gash across his forehead from where a piece of shrapnel had sent Black One into a spin. Before he could regain control, Poe’s head had crashed into the yolk of his X-wing, leaving a two-inch rent in his flesh.
No, he had not been wearing his helmet.
Despite his foolhardy nature, you thought it curious. With such a varied assortment of medical personnel living and working on the Anodyne - a modified Nebulon-C escort employed by the Resistance for the express purpose of being a mobile hospital - it was a wonder of yours why Poe always chose to search you out.
Not considering yourself to be anything in the way of special, at least the skills you possessed were adequate to put him on the mend. But, somehow, this visit seemed different, even if sticky crimson coated his handsome features.
You had come to notice that Poe was spending less time talking and more time staring, a thing you were not accustomed to as his gaze was unrelenting, the commander scrutinizing every facet of your appearance. He had seemed to limit himself to the surface area of your face, wandering, probing, exploring the curve of your nose, the outline of your lips, and finally the warmth in your eyes.
“Y-you didn’t answer me,” you commented, applying bacta to the injured man with a dabble of your fingers, your voice having lost its normal confidence as Dameron uttered a single, muted question.
“Huh?” he asked, as if only now realizing he was indeed a person, and that he could be perceived by others. He sat up marginally in his chair, those unyielding, heavy-lidded eyes almost vacantly looking through you, or so you thought.
You were beginning to wonder if this had anything to do with the fact that he might be mildly concussed. You were also becoming self-conscious, trying to keep the conversation on track despite Poe being so close to you with his blood staining your hands. “How many times has it been that you have come to see me these last few months? Don’t you know how to stay out of trouble?”
“No,” he answered without thought, leaning forward once more in the chair serving him for his examination. That sole syllable had been expressed in a dilatory fashion, soft and airy, only inches from your mouth.
You let out a breathy exhalation, surprised by this turn of events, yet nothing had happened. The cocky pilot dared to bite down on a rather pouty bottom lip; he watched you intently, gauging your reaction as he dallied there, finally adding more in the way of a response. “That’s why I’m here. Again.”
“Yes, right, obviously,” you managed, trying to restore some semblance of equanimity over yourself after having been caught off guard.
“Obviously,” he echoed, the word a whisper in the all too quiet room. However, this would not last as more wounded boarded the ship at intervals, soon the medical bay filled with a bustle of activity.
Unwanted activity.
Poe glanced around, assessing the situation. You had just finished bandaging him up when his hand reached out for yours, gently clasping your wrist.
“Doc, I’ve gotta show you something. I’ve got it-- bad.”
“It?” you inquired incredulously, your own glance taking an appraisal of the room. His voice had lowered again, as if this topic of conversation was not meant to be overheard. His expression appeared serious, deep-set brows knitting together in a visual show of his concern. You mimicked him, a rather human way to show empathy in this case, though not entirely sure what for.
“It,” he confirmed, gently pulling you forward toward himself, as if you weren’t already close enough. Your breathing picked up as you posed a follow-up question, a simple one, and straight to the point.
“What?”
He did that thing again, the staring, as if you were a sheet of transparisteel and he was looking beyond it to the other side. You scanned his face, those ruggedly attractive bits of him that you had tended to time and time again.
“Um—” he paused, as if not knowing what to say, like his words had failed him, which was not out of the realm of possibility as you could confirm this uncommon pilot flew by the seat of his pants. You canted your head, expecting some sort of answer, your gaze trailing to Dameron’s fingers latched gingerly around your forearm.
You took note of their thickness, their length, his nails surprisingly trim and immaculate for being a fighter pilot, though you doubted he spent that much time on solid earth when he craved the sky; realspace; to soar among the stars. Catching yourself quickly, it had not gone unnoticed, Poe matching your tilt of the head with one of his own as he peered up at you with those unwavering, expressive eyes.
“Rash … Inya Prime … Think it might be serious,” he informed you, causing you to retract and sit up straight. You tugged yourself loose from his grasp and frowned, turning to wipe your hands off the best you could on an otherwise clean towel, wishing he would have told you this before you had gone and touched him.
“Well, let’s see it then,” you offered, swiveling back around to face him. The pilot pursed his lips before biting down again, his foot beginning to tap against the floor; the motion was almost sultry, like this whole charade was planned.
For some reason, you doubted that assumption.
“It’s … I can’t show you here,” he confessed, lowering his head as he turned it to the left and right, giving the medical bay another sweep with his eyes; it was as if he was suddenly your conspirator, Poe carrying and guarding an important secret.
“Where then?” You compelled an eyebrow to stay level, it wanting to raise of its own volition. It was your turn to stare, Poe taking up each of your hands again, regardless of the fact you had just tried to halfheartedly clean them. He placed them gently atop his knees; he held you there, and you dare not move. Then, the man bore directly into you with his hardened gaze, nudging his head toward the exit door.
“Exam room, down the hall. It’s, um – it’s private.”
You gave him a reproving look. “Why were you on Inya Prime in the first place?” you asked, your fingers twitching beneath his. You were caught between wanting to relax and to allow this to happen, or to jerk yourself away for fear of someone getting the wrong idea.
“Reconnaissance,” he replied without missing a beat. You supposed that seemed logical enough, though Inya Prime was a small, boring, terrestrial planet of little to no interest to most.
That explained the civilian clothing, whereas most of the time Poe arrived to you in his bright orange flight suit, standing out like a ray of sunshine among the dark, depressing backdrop of space.
“And how did you get this rash?” you inquired curiously, wondering why it was he could not show you here instead, or just how bad it might be.
“You don’t wanna know,” he stated with a sense of finality, eyes searching yours, as if he was trying to penetrate your thoughts with a Jedi mind trick. You held his gaze a moment longer than expected before quickly standing to your feet; you felt the need to break physical contact, Dameron’s hands warm, rough, and—
“Fine, let’s hurry. There are others who need tending to.” It was the truth, yet you could feel your heartbeat betraying you by thumping loudly in your chest; you were sure that Poe could hear it.
“Right, let’s,” he said, standing. He walked a pace ahead of you then turned back around. He lingered, making sure you were going to follow him before he started out the door.
The man seemed nervous, slicking back a ringlet of dark hair that refused to stay in place. He ambulated somewhat awkwardly around the corner, then waited for you to unlock the examination room with a clearing of his throat. It then occurred to him he was standing in your way; he opened his mouth to say something but thought better of it, moving to one side as you gave him an inquisitive side-eye, using your badge to unlock the facilities.
He nodded, just a small movement of his head, eyes darting forward as if thinking hard on something before he entered the small space. It was fitted with a table for patients to lie on - equipped with a step stool and stirrups - a cabinet filled with various medical supplies, a curtain for dressing and undressing, a scale for taking a patient’s weight, and blood pressure detection equipment, among other things. It had all those items necessary and then some, though depending on your diagnosis, you imagined you might need to prescribe him an antifungal ointment of some kind.
“All right, we’re here,” you offered with a gesture. “Now, show me this rash.”
Poe gave a jittery laugh, answering you with a nervy “heh” as he ran his forefinger along the clean sheets of the table laid out before him as if he was checking it for dust.
“Yeah, about that,” he finally spoke up, walking full circle around the bed-like object before he arrived behind you.
“You see, doc—” he began; you craned your neck, looking over your shoulder at him, wanting to know why you now felt trapped, barred to the only way out as he had sandwiched himself between you and the door. “It’s right here,” he said, placing his open palm against his chest and giving it a tap.
This time you were the one to clear your throat, tossing back your hair as you straightened up to appear more professional, or perhaps dignified, forcing yourself to not think about how you were about to come into contact with, or at least see, Poe Dameron’s bare breast.
All things considered, he was an attractive man. You had thought that the moment you laid eyes on him; the time he had come to you battered and beaten with a black eye and a sprained ankle – he had taken a tumble down the side of a rather steep hill on some backwater, jungle-planet and only made it back to his X-wing thanks to members of Black Squadron. His foot was so badly swollen by the time he reached you, it was a miracle he could walk - or hobble – at all.
A thought occurred to you. “I should wash my hands before we begin,” you declared, moving toward the small sink stationed with a cleaning solution that was meant for disinfection as much as it was for washing away dirt and grim.
Poe looked taken aback momentarily, words caught in his throat as he gave another nod, this one more exaggerated. “Yeah, right, OK,” he shot back, as if for some reason this had been a surprise to him.
You began your task, one hand over the other as you lathered yourself, peeking back at him. “Why don’t you take off your shirt?” you suggested, not able to help the way saying that made you feel, like this was anything more than a clinical procedure.
You could hear the rustle of fabric as Poe began to undo the buttons on his dress shirt, getting the feeling that he was watching you, studying you, bent slightly over the basin in which you were cleansing yourself of his blood. It swirled around the drainage, leading to a reserve tank that purified and recycled what little water was aboard this frigate; you knew that every drop was precious.
Finishing quickly, you refaced him, Dameron’s broad, naked chest staring you straight in the face, though he had not bothered to remove his button up all the way; its two panels were parted and pushed off to opposing sides.
Firm pectorals were spattered with a thin sheen of dark curls, matching the scruff of a beard that had just recently begun to form on his perfectly sculpted cheeks, running its course down to a chiseled jawline. Beneath wisps of black was smooth, golden skin - as if kissed by a main sequence star that orbited some planetary paradise - the happiest of trails leading down and beyond the waistline of his trousers.
You watched, entranced, the rise and fall of his stomach with every breath he took, in and out, slow, and almost deliberately so. You swallowed to remedy the dry sensation in your mouth with what saliva you had available, wondering if your face appeared as red as you felt it must be.
“Right, OK. Rash,” you announced out loud, purposely making an effort to look up and back into his eyes.
Again, he put his hand up, over his heart. “Here,” he repeated, “Right here. You see—”
Poe stepped forward, and you stepped back, each move he made a calculated risk, but one worth taking. “— my … heart,” he said, voice lowering an octave, then promptly continuing, “it… burns, itches, when I can’t … see you,” he emphasized. “And. You. You’re the cure, you’re the—”
He walked another pace forward, looming above you as you found yourself pressing back against the wall of the exam room. “—the only one who can make it better,” he breathily muttered, so close now you could smell the scent of the shampoo he used; it was reminiscent of citrus, but not overpowering.
“W-what—?” You felt you couldn’t believe your ears, your neck lifting back and up as you analyzed his intense facial expression. “Poe, I—”
“Shhh,” he sibilated with a press of his index to your lips. Then, he changed the subject, however momentary. “I lied to you, by the way. There is no rash, I—”
“—Yes, I’ve figured that out,” you interrupted, though your words came out weak, quavering.
“Sometimes, I pretend to be sick or hurt just to come see you. That headache last week?” He gave a short, sharp laugh. “More like … heartache,” he finished, encapsulating your chin between two fingers as his lips met yours.
Your body froze; you were immobile, unable to breathe, unable to speak, and unable to comprehend exactly what was going on. Granted, you may have imagined this moment once or twice – every guy, or girl aboard this vessel you assumed had done so at one point or another. There was more than one reason Dameron was referred to so aptly as “Flyboy,” though you tried not to let that tarnish the present moment.
The only thing you could articulate was a soft moan of acceptance, melting despite yourself against the durasteel partition behind you. Ruddy fingers traveled upward, this time tangling themselves in your hair, palm cupping the back of your head as he gently drew you into a deeper kiss.
“Poe,” you gasped against him, your own hand rising to lightly push against his rock-hard pecs; it was a mistake on your part, this simple act of touching his unclothed chest the catalyst from which your loins stirred. “What—”
“—It,” he murmured, bringing the conversation back around from when he had coaxed you to this place. “—the thing I’ve got it bad for. It’s you,” he conceded, Dameron’s tongue slithering past full lips to gently prod at yours that stood partially agape, ready to accept another kiss.
You easily allowed him entry, that warm, wet muscle dancing in a figure eight, the pattern slow and rhythmic as he lapped at your suddenly hungry mouth. But you would not let lust overtake you, you were a woman of scruples, principles, and a practitioner of medicine; there was a time and place for this sort of thing and now was not it.
“Dameron,” you began again, this time managing to put just enough space between you so that you might think straight, Poe’s eyes immediately overtaking yours with a primal, excitable energy that penetrated you to the depths of your soul. He was so eager, you thought, so attentive, the man hanging, waiting, willing, to hear anything you might have to say.
“I believe you’re concussed, I think it’s best that—”
“I’m fine. Better than fine. Everything’s perfect,” he interjected, pressing his mouth against yours once more.
“—Why?” you blurted out, the question having clawed its way out of your chest. It was common knowledge that the man before you got around, not able to imagine that this meant anything more than an attempt at a quick hook-up.
“Because. I can’t. Stop. Thinking. About you. You.” He spoke your name, a tickle in your ear that sent a tingle of excitement prickling down your spine, leaving goose pimples that were undeniable to the naked eye.
“I can’t explain it. Maybe it doesn’t make any sense; you, me…” he trailed off, the butt of his thumb running over the curvilinear shape of your ear. “I watch you. Sometimes. Not to… sound creepy,” he added quickly, giving a somewhat apologetic look. “… You’re incredible. Calm in the face of danger, in the face of uncertainty. And. You’re not afraid,” he emphasized.
“Besides—” Poe bent down low, brushing his lips across yours, featherlight, causing a feeble mewl to escape before you had the time or the wherewithal to rein it in. “— what if we die. What if this is the only chance I ever get to tell you?”
He was right. What was the use of pondering the future, what could or could not be, based on the assumption that you were going to live another day, or two, or three. With the First Order threatening to undo all the hard work of the New Republic, your lot was on the run, your fierce and beloved leader the only thing keeping this small resistance group together, albeit haphazardly organized.
You feared for the general every waking moment, taking your orders come what may, keeping your head down, the only thing breaking the monotony of your day besides the constant fear of attack or death being this charming, handsome man who now held your attention, and had done so on more than one occasion.
“Kiss me again, then,” you begged, any objection you may have dared to make fleeing irrevocably to leave you open and vulnerable to the onslaught of his affection sans your better judgement.
“Mn, yeah?” he coyly asked, the fingers of his hand, dormant for your short discussion, reactivating to knead the base of your skull as he gently pulled you forward, Dameron once more inserting his crafty tongue into your waiting mouth.
His movements were thoughtful, tongue writhing and contracting in a measured orchestration that seemed rehearsed, yet special to this instant. Each loop was intricate, never so much as to be distracting, Poe’s delicious kiss spurring you to action.
You lifted your hand, allowing your fingers to clutch tufts of his hair. You moaned against him, his arms instinctively tightening around you before he pulled away, gasping for breath.
“Can I touch you?” he bashfully asked, hands smoothing over your back to descend in a downward sweep across your waist and hips. “Please, baby, please say yes. Please, please,” he whined, ardent pecks of his velvet lips only a bonus; you had not planned to turn him away regardless.
“Yes,” you sighed out lasciviously, thinking this entire situation was too good to be true. But why not embrace it for what it was? You deserved admiration, affection, love.
“Thank you,” he expressed with gratitude, as if you had given him his greatest wish, Poe adjusting himself accordingly as he gifted you with another lush, sensual kiss; it was tender and languid, feeling the movement of Dameron’s hand shift from the edge of your hip to the drawstring of your pants.
You were adorned in scrubs, a stark reminder of your station and position, yet you could not help that you were human with needs and urges to be fulfilled. Hell, you hadn’t even known you wanted this until it was happening, though life was anything but predictable - it was sporadic. And if Poe was anything, it was that.
You admired that about him. He had an almost childlike whimsy, taking all things in stride, even his injuries when he acquired them. He cared about others so often and so much he frequently forgot about this own ails. It was a good quality to have in a leader, and although he was often rebuked by his superiors, Dameron was an honorable commander and an even better pilot.
“Keep going,” you implored as you felt your desire building upon itself, pooling in the seat of your belly. Desperately, you wanted him to touch you, Poe inclining his head to one side as he broke apart from your pleading lips.
He made heady eye contact, the way he looked at you both dizzying and intoxicating, the man licking his teeth as he quipped a hushed “Yeah?” alongside the act of his fingers trailing to just below the hem of your waistband. They slipped down, down, two braver than the others as Poe’s index and middle finger disappeared beneath the front of your pants and past the soft, cotton layer of your panties.
Dameron groaned a sound, as if performing a task that was somewhat arduous, yet it was meant to evince appreciation for the soft bed of fluff that greeted him, all prim and trim. His breathing picked up, his probing appendages creeping further inside your undergarments; he whimpered against your throat, feeling welcomed by the warm slick that saturated his thick digits as he parted those soft, pillowy lips that lived between your hips, aligning the underside of his forefinger against the protuberance of your clit.
“Mn, you want this just as much as I do,” he teased, his words husky and sensuous, yet not at all meant to be disrespectful. He was the playful sort; you were glad it translated into other areas of his life, namely intimate moments like these, as it eased the tension you were feeling; the thought you were doing something you should not be doing; something wrong.
“Mhm,” you muttered, the interjection a dulcet susurration upon your partway puckered lips. It quickly devolved into an immodest moan as his thumb joined in, aiding in spreading your folds to allow him ease of access to your shrouded pearl.
“That’s it, baby,” he encouraged you, his tone coated in sugar sweetness as Poe continued to cheer you on, “you’re so soft, and warm, and— ohhh,” he cut himself short, feeling embarrassed for not only the sizeable boner he was jabbing into your leg, but the fact that if he did not control himself he might very well cum in his pants.
“I—mmn. Admiral Ackbar naked. Admiral Ackbar naked," he intoned at low volume; you proceeded to laugh, though Poe did not, a look of stern determination on his face. Still, that did not stop him from pleasuring you as he gingerly thumbed that little nub betwixt your thighs, concentric circles close-knit and diligently applied as you trembled enticingly in his arms.
“Is this OK?” he rumbled in your ear, his voice a throaty purr that made you pitch ever so slightly forward with the goal of kissing him again.
“Y-yes,” you managed, your body mildly spasming as you sought after his tongue, Dameron ever so subtly picking up speed in the way he massaged your swollen clit. It thrummed beneath his finger; he tested uncharted territory, gradually inserting his index inside you to the top of his second knuckle. You were already so wet there was barely any friction to speak of, Poe once more moaning aloud to impart his satisfaction to whoever was there to listen – you.
“Oh, you feel- you feel, so, so good,” he rattled off, priming that digit to curl just inside and against the anterior wall of your sex; you gasped, though you had known what was coming, you just didn’t know how amazing the sensation would feel until he was already pushing you toward an orgasm.
“Don’t stop,” you entreated anxiously, the pliant underside of his thumb continuing its mission as it stimulated your glandular bundle of nerves; they twitched faintly, pulsating under his proficient hands.
“OK, yes. Yes. Tell me. Tell me what you want, baby,” he affirmed. You were quick to answer.
“Another kiss,” you adjured, Poe indulging you before the words could die on your lips. The passion he brought to your embrace, the delicate way in which he held you, the rhythmic pattern of his tongue inside your mouth – it drove you to a quick release, Dameron sucking the heavy breaths from your lungs as he attempted to engulf you, so zealous was his appetite for your quiet, though rapturous praise.
You briefly closed your eyes to regain your composure, breathing ragged, then gazed upon his face as you struggled to recover. He pulled away to stare at you, the feeling of his forefinger sliding out of your soaked cunt something not to be ignored.
You gasped again, a tiny sound. Poe admired you with a twinkle in his eye. Then, he gravitated forward, bending so close to your ear. “I can do better.”
“What?” you questioned, confused, trying to curtail your panting breaths. The twinkle in his eye was infectious, spreading to his mouth, Poe’s pretty lips outstretching into a broad, mischievous grin.
“Wait,” he stated.
You observed as he bent forward into a crouch, sneaking along the wall toward the automated entry. Staying to its right, he was careful not to trigger its motion sensor, using the nearby keypad to lock it from the inside. This time, you did quirk a brow, Poe lowering the lights manually to off, but not before making sure the shades were closed to the rectangular window that gave you a mundane view into the hall. However, you may as well be seven feet tall in order to see out of it, and there were species that tall aboard this ship.
Overall, you felt stupid for not having done this before, yet everything had occurred so quickly. What if you had been caught by a co-worker, or your boss? You had no idea how to explain being fingered by Poe Dameron in a room that could otherwise be utilized to someone else’s benefit.
Then, the man came forward, standing to his full stature as he joined you where he had left you, haggard and still somewhat discombobulated from what just happened – that’s when he picked you up, bending at the knees to wrap both arms around your waist as he carried you aloft, your entire body remaining upright and vertical.
“Poe! What are you—”
“Shh, shh,” he endeavored to keep you silent, walking around the corner of the examination table to place you gently upon it in a somewhat forced, seated position. He immediately got to work, as he had started with your footwear, taking it upon himself to remove one shoe at a time.
“Are you a screamer, or are you a whiner?” he asked with another cheesy smile etched across his face, “because I don’t mind either, but the screaming may draw attention, and I assume that’s something you don’t want.”
“I-I don’t—”
“-know?” He shook his head as if in disbelief, though somehow not surprised. “Ooh, we’ve gotta set you straight, doc!”
You meant to argue, but with your shoes gone, Poe began to roll down your socks; it was one of the most intimate things you had experienced, watching with rapt attention as he pushed the fabric down bit by bit, replacing it with moist kisses along the top of your foot and up toward your now bare ankle.
“You don’t mind, right?” he asked offhand, Poe repeating the process on the other side; this time he enveloped your big toe, intaking it into his mouth as he teasingly sucked, mimicking a poi fish who wanted to dine on what it perhaps thought was a worm.
You involuntarily squirmed, pushing against the tops of his shoulders. “That tickles!” you declared, Poe gazing up into your eyes as a “pop” resounded upon release.
Then, with that same unapologetically severe, impassioned stare, Dameron rose to half-stand on his knees as his hands found your hips, fingers digging into the loose band at your waist. He pulled, softly but with enthusiasm, hypnotizing, chestnut-colored eyes once more drilling a hole straight down into your core as he tugged one pant leg off, then the other, followed by a move that would rid you of your underwear.
Partially naked, and on top of your own examination table no less, you instead tried to forget what repercussions might follow suit of your actions and leaned down to kiss the man again. He rose higher, forcing you to straighten your neck and back, Poe’s broad hands encasing the breadth of your face within them to hold you so, so carefully as he returned your gesture as naturally as if he was drinking water.
Come to find this was a tactic, the man releasing you after stealing your breath away a second or third time, hands sliding to lightly shove you back by the shoulders as he lay you down. At once he disappeared from your line of sight, leaving you faced with a view of the ceiling directly above your head; you idly wondered if you were both getting too far ahead of yourselves.
“Poe, I don’t think we should be—” You exhaled noisily, words caught as you choked on a breath, your overactive imagination unable to be controlled as you envisioned the intense kiss you had experienced earlier being reenacted between your legs. The man had pinned you by your hips, kissing once, twice, - feverishly - the inguinal groove that connected your abdominal wall to your thigh, not wasting a moment’s time in making your briefly held fantasy come true.
“Hm? Mmmn,” Dameron hummed, his response muffled by your flesh. Your body stiffened before relaxing as he licked your already soaked slit with the flat of his tongue; it effortlessly slipped between the folds of your labia, Poe toying with your clit, running circles until the whole thing delved inside your opening.
The man pulled you forward by your thighs, closer to the edge of the table; you could feel the paper bedsheet sliding beneath you as he lapped at your cunt like it was a second mouth. He moaned into you, his breath hot on your skin, the scruff of his chin chaffing your legs, but you did not once complain.
“What’s that, sweetheart?” he whispered, the tip of that furled muscle retracting to glide upward along your delightfully slick vulva before it once more found the nub that was begging to be touched; it was already so sensitive.
Your chest heaved as a ripple of pleasure quaked through you, Poe beginning to suck the hard bit that was the recurrent object of his focus. At that moment, you felt blessed, belting out a sound that was a cross between elation and ecstasy, the final product being nothing more than a subdued pule from downy lips.
“Oh, fuck,” you crooned, your thighs progressively closing around either side of Poe’s head as you instinctively tried to brace yourself against your coming climax.
“That’s what I thought—ooh, hey,” the pilot protested, not liking one bit the sudden fettering of his movements. He dislodged himself, then pushed down with both his hands, parting your legs again to make sure he had unrestricted access to your cunt.
Then, he had an idea. “That’s not happening again,” he informed you with an impish smirk, Dameron lifting you up by the underside of your ass as he dragged you even closer, this time making use of the equipment made available to him, though this wasn’t exactly a gynecological exam. The scoundrel picked up both your feet, one after the other, making sure each one was secured in turn, having positioned you spread eagle with your shamelessly wet pussy put on full display.
“Ohh, this is beautiful. Perfect. You’re perfect.” The man had stopped to stare at the exquisite view before him, a hungry look overtaking his winsome visage; you had barely lifted your neck, perhaps meaning to address him, before you were forced to expel a mousy squeak following a show of near desperation on his part.
Poe had darted forward. Now hands-free and having situated you in stirrups, Dameron plunged his tongue back inside of you while clasping his fingers behind his back as he liked to imagine himself in binders. He tongue fucked you as your chest expanded and contracted with each euphoric breath, deep and slow, before he redirected all his energy back to your eager bud.
Then, his head joined in, bobbing back and forth as he enthusiastically ate you out like a man starved, consuming his first meal in weeks, months.
Wet sounds invaded your ears, Poe miming a hound lapping water; it only caused your clit to pulse, your right arm lowering for impatient fingers to latch onto his raven locks; you were careful not to disturb the dressings on his forehead even so, not wanting to let your hard work go to waste.
You held him steady; you pulled him closer, thighs trembling, though your legs still remained forced apart with knees jutting out to either side. It was the dirtiest, nastiest you had ever felt, yet at the same time Poe had made you feel alive. Alive, and not just waiting around to die.
You moaned lewdly as you gently bucked your hips, your body convulsing in rapture as his focus was laser sharp, the full expanse of his thick, skillful tongue caressing you softly from the cusp of your vagina to the vertex of your throbbing clit – over, and over, and over again.
The pattern he applied was slow and methodical, Poe’s cock beyond hard as he gently humped thin air. The man himself was groaning, speaking breathlessly against the soft flesh of your mound, even as he continued to dine.
“Baby, you taste so, so sweet. So, so, good. Mm, be a good girl, yeah? Nice and easy for me. Nice and easy…” The pilot’s words trailed off, that gentle lapping turning toward a precise, calculated stroke with just the tip, this being the very thing that drove to you the point of no return; you came again, one hand still buried in Poe’s hair as the other clasped at your breast.
“Mmmn, oh shit, oh fuck, Poe,” you cursed again, your entire being writhing in unbridled bliss as you rode out one of the most intense orgasms in recent history, this only encouraging the pilot to keep at it until you physically had to push his head away, albeit with caution.
Poe looked up at you with those emotive, gorgeous brown eyes, lips glossy with your excess; you panted heavily, looking down on what could only be described as a shit-eating grin. You took a few more moments to recuperate, then made a demand of him that even surprised yourself. “Fuck me, right now, please.”
That cocky smile faded, Dameron staring fixedly at your face. He searched each part of it, as if measuring the seriousness of your words, then sat up fully on his legs before standing completely to gaze down at you, chin glistening and damp, not noticing the red welts spattering the inside of your thighs from where his stubble had left its mark.
“Since you said please, and so, so nicely might I add,” he joked, undoing the holster at his waist with lightning speed as he let his Glie-44 blaster pistol fall to the floor at his feet. You sat up on your elbows, enjoying the show, Poe unzipping and unbuckling his pants and belt with such wild, feral vigor, it was as if they were presently on fire.
“Mn, sweetheart, would you hate me if I said I’ve been dreaming of this?” Poe questioned, though you were unable to get a read on if he was being sincere or just full of hot air. You did not answer him, instead reveling in the desperate way the pilot kicked his boots off, witnessing his undressing between your parted legs.
They felt like jelly, still held up by the stirrups. You smiled salaciously, feeling oddly playful as you began to sway your knees back and forth to emulate the fluttering of butterfly wings; you amused yourself by fondling your overstimulated clit for his pleasure and your own, waiting ever so patiently for him to finish.
It only slowed him down; you almost laughed again, this man proving to be predictable as far as men go, spellbound by the fact you were touching yourself, and in front of him, no less.
Poe let out a laborious, rasping breath, as if his throat might be closing in on itself, pearly whites once more finding rose-colored lips as he chewed timidly on a plump bottom rung. At that same moment his pants fell down to his knees, leaving Dameron in his tight white underwear, his package so hard and compact it looked ready to burst free of its cotton prison.
“Fuck, that’s hot,” he professed mostly to himself, yet loud enough for you to hear him. He stumbled forward, releasing himself of the pants that still clung to him with every step, wide, warm hands placing themselves upon your knees, one for one.
“Mn, baby, for me?” he asked in a diffident tone, Poe’s cheeks burning hot as he was drawn in by the sexy spectacle before him. After a moment or two of getting lost in his own thoughts, he scrambled for his aching prick; it felt like it was going to erupt any moment now. Already it had leaked droplets of precum, the tip wet and sticky as it sprang loose.
The pilot began to pump himself as he was glued to the rhythmic stroking of your fingers; you teased him by inserting one within yourself, Poe moaning almost instantly as he came up to you all the way by the edge of the bed, gently batting your hand away. He aligned his dick against your slit, eyes laser focused, then he abruptly stopped what he was doing to lift his head and stare at you.
“You sure? What if-” he hesitated, wanting reassurance.
“I’m protected,” you whispered, at once your feet lifting so that you could wind your legs around Poe’s waist like a serpent coiling about its prey. You squeezed lightly, drawing him in, Poe helping on his end by gently nudging the head of his cock against the lubricious entrance to your vagina.
Dameron shook this time, his body tremulous against you as he sank deeper and deeper into your warm center, guiding it slowly, his girth spreading you open as you gasped, arms overtaking him in addition to your legs; you wanted his chest pressed against yours, beckoning the man to lower himself to the proper height so that you might kiss him, fingers once more gathering in his shaggy mane.
“You f-feel, ohhhh… Like, like. Like clouds,” Dameron stammered, commenting on your plush, tepid walls as he finally bottomed out. He was slow to retract his hips, then slow to press them forward again, “It’s like breaking atmo; that euphoric feeling you get when—”
Poe cut himself off, lips compressing against one another to form a concentrated line. He closed his eyes, his pace deathly drawn-out, tortuously so, each stroke of him inside you sending pinpricks of pleasure throughout your nerve-endings, both from without and within.
It was endearing. Not knowing of all the nuances comprising this pilot’s personality, this one surprised you. Poe had always seemed so high-strung, so exuberant; it was a change of pace to see him take his time on something - you.
With a tilt of your neck, your mouth found his, your tongue slithering between his teeth to taste yourself on him. You sighed fervently, pulling him closer by the meat of your thighs, in turn interring him deeper within yourself.
“I won’t break,” you informed him softly, having pulled away to encourage Dameron to rise above his stupor and fuck you like he meant it. Poe gave a slow, deliberate nod of his head in return, as if trying to find his center and a place of calm before he would be able to continue.
“Right,” he finally said, intaking a sharp inhalation of oxygen as he rocked forward, pitching his hips so that they were flush against yours. He dipped back again, repeating these motions in a syncopated rhythm, and you finding it impossible to keep your mouth from hanging open as he hit his stride.
“Just like that,” you cooed silkily, your breath warm and wispy against his ear. This alone sent Poe to a higher plane, somewhere you were sure you could not reach him, causing Dameron to make a helpless, needy sound.
You felt a warm gush; a spurt of something that was unexpected this early in the game. Poe’s face contorted pleasantly into a look of ecstasy. You watched, fascinated, the pilot coming inside you after only a few pumps. Hell, you didn’t even mind; he had given you yours twice over. You felt a kind of privilege bestowed upon you; the knowledge that your pussy must be made of solid gold. That, or he really did like you.
“Oh fuck, ohh no, shit, I-I’m sorry,” Poe stuttered, his tone indicative of embarrassment. You tried to lighten the mood with a joke, dotting tiny kisses along the corner of his mouth in an attempt to quell his mounting anxiety.
“What was that about setting me straight?” you teased, Poe forced to laugh despite himself as he tried to catch his breath. He shook his head, brawny biceps propping him up just above you, jet-black strands dangling down to brush against your nose as he sighed a dejected sigh.
“You’re just so pretty, and I was excited, you know? I- It’s- It’s been a while,” he clumsily explained, “haven’t had the time to actually masturbate, being in the middle of a war and all—”
You cut him off with a kiss, a forceful press of your lips to his. It was your way of shutting him up, aiming to put a stopper in all of his excuses; it did not matter to you.
“Poe, it’s fine,” you affirmed, cradling the antsy man’s refined jaw in the crook of your palm, “these things happen. I’m not upset. You already got me off twice; that’s more than most men for the entirety of a relationship.”
You had exaggerated that last part for a bit of dramatic flair, this particular white lie having no purpose other than to bolster Poe’s self-esteem and to make him feel better. He smiled at you, a genuine, honest-to-God smile, as if coming to terms with the fact he had no need to worry, and that he might just get a second chance one day, contrary to what he had at first believed.
“So, uh—” he started, lifting gently up and off of you; his cock incrementally eased its way out of you, the remnants of his seed thick and sticky as it flowed freely out and onto the exam table.
He scrunched an eye, as if still ashamed, Poe sucking on his bottom lip to alleviate the mental anguish he was suffering before he sheepishly asked you a question, “Now that we’ve gotten to third base, would you care to visit first?”
You propped yourself up on your forearms, quirking a brow as you rose to sit. He assumed correctly, thinking that you did not take his meaning, Poe following up to explain more succinctly. “Dinner, maybe? Or—”
Sirens began to blare, a red alert sounding all throughout the Anodyne. A voice rang out over the internal comm; Dameron and you were quickly put on edge.
“Attention, all personnel: report to stations. This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill.”
Your face fell, as did Poe’s. He gazed at you a moment, ignoring the awful clamor in the background as people began to race throughout the halls just beyond the door. It was as if time stood still, and you were unable to break away from Dameron’s dark gaze. The man, who was so amiable and easygoing, now looked browbeaten and worn, knowing that any minute now he would have to find BB-8 and return to his X-wing when he had wanted nothing more than to relax in your company. Wishful thinking, he mused.
You were the first to move, rushing to get up. You found a towel and cleaned yourself up, collecting your clothes from off the floor; somehow, your tunic had remained intact, though you would hold out for a future time when Poe might touch those parts of you, too. It was hard not to want to imagine him with his soft lips puckered about your nipple as his stocky fingers massaged and revered your breasts.
“Attention: all pilots, return to hangar. Repeat: all capable pilots return to your ships.”
“It was just as well, huh?” he asked solemnly, referring to the abrupt end of your impromptu rendezvous.
“Go,” you commanded, Poe’s stare lingering, amber eyes piercing you with a look that was ironically impenetrable; resolute, yet somehow somber, wistful.
He broke away, finally, and with difficulty, scrambling to adjust his briefs before throwing back on his pants and buttoning his shirt. He hitched his holster around his hips, the boots made to go on last. You observed as he hopped around on one foot, once more finding him to be endearing as you turned to rush toward the refresher, steadfast in your desire to use the sonic, if only for a moment; you needed to rinse off before returning to the med bay, as was your duty.
Poe called out to you by name; you whirled to face him. The man’s fluffy eyebrows were stitched together as he could only stare at you again. Then, he seemed to finally come-to, stepping the few paces forward that separated you.
“I’ll comm you later?” he asked more than stated, the backs of his knuckles running the length of your cheek. You could only nod, leaning up to kiss him one last time.
“Come back in one piece, OK? I don’t want to have to stitch you up again; be careful,” you urged him. He smiled that charming, boyish smile that made your heart race, as radiant as ever; his mood could change so suddenly.
“No promises,” he replied, meaning it in jest, yet you knew there was some truth to it.
You parted ways with the best damn pilot in the galaxy, hope being the only thing left to you both now. Hope that he would never have to step foot back aboard this frigate, but that if he did, it would be for some better reason, and not because he had failed to heed your warning.

at least we did one thing right
a/n: this one has been sitting in my inbox since forever and i managed to stir up this cute little thing. ciwyw is one of my favorite tracks of reputation and i can't wait to get the re-recording of this (hopefully soon!!!)
The party was in full swing, and by party you meant all of your close friends who are gathered in Steve’s living room and kitchen entertaining themselves while you and Steve hid away in his backyard like a routine.
His gaze flickered through the sliding doors, mock concern etched on his features as he mutters under his breath, “I swear to god, they better not pick the pineapple off the other slices.”
You turned your head to see what he was going on about, and sure enough the teenage boys were ravaging the kitchen like they hadn’t eaten in days. At this rate, they were like bottomless pits, and you weren’t quite sure how they were able to put away a portion of food without blinking.
Still, you snorted, swatting a hand over his thigh and garnering his attention back to you.
“They’re growing boys and their appetites are different from when they were twelve. We can order another if they’re still hungry.” You shrugged.
He shook his head, shifting to pull your legs over and across his lap.
“I ordered pineapple for you, and you should at least get to have one slice of it.” Steve insisted, though your orbs were too clouded with heart eyes to see the irritation he wore for the innocently selfish boys.
You pursed your lips into a tight smile, hooking your arm over his bicep, tugging yourself closer to him, “You’re so cute for someone who hogs all the blankets at night.”
He looked down at you, shaking his head with a mushy smile coming over him, “Hey you’re the one who likes the house freezing!”
Steve rumbles a string of laughter into the air, using his free arm that’s not being clung onto, to drape over your frame, practically wrenching your whole body onto his as you begin joining in the amusement. You give up on trying to get the upper-hand, letting yourself sit comfortably in his lap, your joined hands resting on either side of your bodies and you lean down to lay your head on his chest.
You snuggled deeper into the fabric of his shirt, inhaling the lingering scent of his cologne. It’s a simple pleasure of yours to be wrapped up in his arms, high above the whole scene, in your own little world like nothing else mattered.
“You’re my portable space heater, got all the warmth I need,” you declared, pressing kind kisses over his chest feeling his lips brush over your hairline.
Steve thought he must have done something right in this lifetime in order to give himself to you in a way he hadn’t given anyone else before. He doesn’t care that it’s simply you two sneaking away just to act like corny teenagers again. All of that fades into nothing when you look at him the way you do.
But before you could savor the moment, a familiar voice interrupted from above, followed by the squeak of rusty wheels gliding across the frame.
“Are you guys having fun out here without us!” Robin shouted, ringing out closer as she approached you both, but of course not without the presence of Eddie by her side.
You sat up, laughing, while Steve groaned and craned his neck to greet them. “You guys have to stop sneaking off to do whatever this is,” Eddie teased, gesturing between you both with a lighthearted smirk.
Steve grunted, “You’re just mad you don’t have a girlfriend to love on,” he shot back, pulling you down by the wrists to meet his lips in a messy kiss that left you giggling.
Eddie feigned revulsion and quickly retreated back inside, while Robin settled beside your bodies, her eyes twinkling with affection. “I still think you guys are adorable, even though this sneaking off thing is getting old.”
Robin had always been rooting for the two of you — there was just something about you both that made perfect sense, and when you finally bit the bullet, it was safe to say she was celebratory about the whole thing.
“We just don’t want to bore you guys with our public displays of affection,” you teased, sharing a knowing smile with Robin who threw her head back and laughed at all the times your friends would scold you both to cut out the lovey dovey acts.
Steve interjected, “Last time we cuddled on the couch you kicked us out of movie night…in my house!”
Robin rolled her eyes, pointing an accusing finger at him. “That’s because we could all smell the sexual tension between you guys. Seriously, just get it out of your systems before we get here.”
You slapped your hands over your flushed face, groaning behind them, “Noted. We’ll remember that for next time.” You promised, shaking your head.
Steve couldn’t contain his laughter, his eyes crinkling as he turned to his best friend with a pleading look. “Now, can you please leave and let me make out with my girlfriend in peace?”
She rose up out of the lounger with a grin, “If there’s one thing you guys did right, it’s each other… and I don’t mean sex!” With that she disappeared back inside, leaving you both to yourselves.
Steve gently pulled your hands away from your face, his soft smiling easing away any idling embarrassment that you knew was all in good fun. He brought your hands closer to his lips, spreading kisses across your knuckles that made your stomach flip with warmth.
“Well, at least did one thing right,” He murmured, raising his brows up at you as you blushed and nodded.
“We sure did.” You whispered, before cupping his cheeks and bringing yourself down to him.
Your eyes fluttered shut, closing the distance between your lips, fitting themselves together like a daydream. The jokers and the drama queens could take all the swings and call it whatever they wanted to — as long as you and Steve knew it was love.

Can you elaborate on that thing you said about the elemental Wu being training wheels for the monks? It sounds interesting.
I think they get a feel for the movement of the chi and how their Wu channels the energy, and gradually, subconscious pick up how to mimic it on their own. I think that's a big reason why they're recommended certain Wu to start practicing with as their signature weapons once they reach apprentice level and beyond. (Credit to @writerkatsblog for the groundwork here!)
There's this very gradual but noticeable progression of the kids' abilities as the seasons go on.
Back in Dreamscape, Omi used the Orb of Tornami to create a wave to get the logs moving. Or we see lots of time where Omi is shooting the water out of the Orb like a hose.
By Chucky Choo, Omi can hold up the flow of an entire waterfall on his own. Or we see in The New Order that Omi's very capable of just shooting pressurized water out of his own hands without the orb.
The first time Kimiko used the Star Hanabi to shoot and aim a proper fireball, she was absolutely floored by it.
By Hannibal's Revenge, she's whipping up enough firepower from the palms of her hands to level a whole forest on her own at will.
Clay used to need the Third Arm Sash to construct a fist out of stone.
By Bird of Paradise, he's making them himself, and they're way stronger than the ones he could make with the Sash.
Raimundo used to use the Sword of the Storms to whip up gales and winds or to fly.
By Bird of Paradise, Raimundo's making them from the palms of his hands, and the ones Raimundo makes himself are both stronger and can be more deliberately controlled and aimed. And he's flying solo with a lot more control, too.
Tangentially, I think observing and mimicking the qi and energy to master their powers probably explains some of Chase's abilities too, and why he says he views Shen Gong Wu as "crutches".
A lot of his abilities (standing on vertical ground, telekinesis, flight), are identical to things some of the Wu do, after all. If not learning from using the Wu back in his days as a monk, then learning from observing and fighting the monsters that were sealed into those Wu. Sort of like humans learning bending in atla from the animals with the abilities.

Lightning Makes The Roots Grow Deep
Basil Stilt x afab!Reader • Rating: 18+ pals Masterlist• ao3• want to be tagged? | request info • Kinktober 2024 Masterlist • Kinktober 2023 Masterlist • Day 19: Voyeurism
Summary: There's something watching in the woods.
A/N: This was meant to be for kinktober 2023 (I'm so sorry). I don't know how this became what it is.
Warnings: sort of magical realism, Basil becoming a sort of Green Man, plants growing out of people, cut to black sexy times, please let me know if I have missed a warning!
Word Count: 1101
It had started when leaves began to grow from the scar tissue along Basil’s face. It wasn’t painful, just odd. But then again most things had been strange in the last few days… months? How long had it actually been?
He often woke with berries on his eyelashes, the small red fruits falling when he first opened his eyes to the new day.
He ate less. Began to just sit for hours by the window to soak up the sunshine. On rainy days he opened them, hung out bowls and cups on string to catch the rainwater and drink it down. There was nothing else like it. No other food or liquid, even tap water sustained him in the same way, nothing else quenched the deep ache in his chest.
After a long time, when the vines from his skin had begun to twist and creep down along his arms and across his chest he had left. Finally.
He wasn’t sure where the energy had come from, the drive. He just simply walked out of his flat in the dead of night.
His car, the poor thing had sat dormant for years, started the second he got in and put his hands on the wheel even though his keys were still somewhere upstairs in the reminiscence of his old home.
He drove for a long time. Out of the city and further still. He wasn’t sure where he was going, but something pulled at his nerves, an urge he could not deny.
Basil didn’t know the name of the place when he arrived, surely a national forest of some sort. But it was the right place.
As he walked further into the trees his muscles relaxed, the cobwebs in his lungs cleared. He was home.
.
“Are you sure there’s no bears?” Elizabeth asked sincerely, and Barry laughed.
“No fucking bears, I promise.” He grinned.
Elizabeth didn’t look so reassured. “Are you 100% on that?”
Jamie, her boyfriend wrapped his arms around her. “No bears.”
“Hmm.” She didn’t look so impressed.
“I wouldn’t be here if there were.” You say, trying to comfort her.
She gave you a brilliant smile. “Okay, you I trust.”
You laugh, all four of you saying goodnight as you went to your respective tents. Elizabeth and Jamie shared, Barry to another, and the last was yours.
Part of you was sure that this whole trip was secretly Jamie’s and Elizabeth’s attempt to set you up with Barry. He was nice but there was something you couldn’t put your finger on. Something just didn’t seem right.
It’s difficult to sleep. You’d expected the cold and had packed well for it. It was the noise that was getting to you. This forest seemed louder than any you’d ever been to before. Busy. As if it was teaming with life ten times the usual amount.
Somehow you manage to get to sleep for a while. A little after 2am you wake, needing to pee.
You sigh and pull yourself out of your sleeping bag and grab your torch. Even though you were just going to duck behind a tree didn’t mean you weren’t going to get lost. People who got lost were people who thought they couldn’t get lost.
You stepped as quietly as you could, not wanting to wake the others and walked around the back of a large tree and peed quickly.
You’d just finished disinfecting your hands when there was a snap from the distance. You jolted, looking up in the direction quickly and shining your light. There was something there. Between the nearest outcrop. Like… light? Soft glowing orbs of dark pink and red. They floated like bubbles, a seemingly high pitched soft sound emanating from them.
You don’t remember following them, one moment you were there by the campsite and the next you were deep in the undergrowth, mud high up on your jogging bottoms from your journey.
“What?” You frown, blinking hard and trying to shift the wave of dizziness that floats next to your eyes.
Panic doesn’t grip you, doesn’t sink in despite you not knowing where the hell you are. Instead, you feel sort of… warm.
There’s a faint light blue glow up ahead filtering through the trees. A ranger’s station or something. You walk further in, closer to the light and…
You stop in your tracks.
The forest is glowing. All manner of plants, flora you have never even seen in a textbook cover the clearing. Soft moss lines the floor. You lightly touch the bark of the closest tree, it’s warm. Not uncomfortably, not in a way that would make your skin crawl. It’s nice, soothing.
It’s only then that you notice the figure in the middle of the clearing. You pause, swallowing as he looks at you.
He says your name softly.
“How… how do you know…?”
“I’ve been watching,” he pauses, turning his head so you can see the leaves growing from his face. He moves closer, seeming to float across the moss. “You… and the others.” Lightly he touches your cheek, you can feel the vines that run along his fingertips.
“What… are you?” You breathe, unable to take your eyes away from his skin, how the ivy twists in his hair and the moon seems to glow in one eye, his other dark like the night itself.
He leans forward, pressing his lips to yours and opening your mouth with his own. You moan, shiver as his hand trails down your neck, his hand resting just above your heart.
You pull him closer when he licks into your mouth. He tastes like fruit, sweet and heady and when you pull back small flowers have budded and bloom along the side of his face.
He places his hand on your hip and minuscule vines grow and slip under your clothes, pushing them from your body and tearing them away with small thorns that do not touch your skin.
You gasp, heat rising to your skin.
“It’s alright,” he whispers, kissing your cheek and jaw. “You’re safe. I promise.”
“I…” You swallow, words escaping you as he sucks a love bite into your skin, pulling you flush against him while he traces his hand down and lightly teases your nipple.
When your mouth opens in a soft moan he groans, letting his fingers sink further down your body and stroke along your centre. You can feel the vines from his hand run along your skin, start to twist and stroke along your thighs.
He licks into your mouth the same moment he sinks his fingers inside of you.
