still i think the one of the more fun differences drawn between illario and lucanis that was lost would be illario's ability to endear himself to others but serious lack of empathy, vs. lucanis' (self perceived) inability to be charming but how much he cares. it's interesting that the game has gone with the "lucanis' ability vs illario's lack thereof" because i think illario being the dellamorte 'best in show dog' vs. lucanis' attack dog would have made me so unwell.

lucanis is... awkward. he's not unlikable, because he is usually very polite, but he doesn't speak much and only seems to care about the other dellamortes. he once sent viago de riva a knife with no note (who knows what he could have meant by this). he does what caterina asks of him, and by his own admission, cannot say no to her. he is a dramatic and prolific killer, and that makes how untouchable he is even worse.

and the crows like illario, sure, AND he's a good assassin! he's even a good crow! he's so good that he can make lucanis smile, and so he is the charming, sociable one. he's the one that stays in treviso and can be relied upon to care, illario's even the one people prefer over caterina and lucanis!

but illario is decoration. he's the prize poodle, and even if poodles were bred to be working dogs, nobody will ever pick him to protect the house over the german shepherd that regularly mauls intruders. anyways the analogy is getting away from me. the point i'm trying to make is that i want illario to have a different kind of jealousy/hatred that's not just over 'being bad at killing' but also an arrogant loathing for everyone around him that is getting harder to hide, because they've forgotten he can bite and is just itching to rip someone's jugular out. illario is very good at hiding his family resemblance to caterina, while lucanis suffers under his grandmother's, and his own, reputation.

I don’t think I ever asked this, but where does whorror movie take place ? At least the general area, or are the characters pretty far apart from each other on a map ?

Mostly Vaguely southern and midwest united states. I . do not have specifics. :) Vibes Based! Characters are kinda spread out, but they are all mostly travelers and paths cross often!

Parker and Quinn travel all over the US, depending where odd jobs and their whims and their van take them. They both went to college in the south, that's definitely where Quinn was born n raised.

Ghost hunting squad can also travel all over in their van, depending on where the latest interesting haunting story takes them, for their ghost hunting blog, of course.

Domino is more midwest and doesn't travel as far on his motorcycle, he like's to stay relatively close to where his grandma lives. Like he doesn't Live There anymore but he doesn't particularly Not Live there. He's traveling but always comes back. It's probably also only a few states over from the cult he was born and raised in. When his grandma rescued him from that they moved out of state to a suburb little town, but that didn't work too well, they moved again when he was a teen to a more rural area, big plot of land. It worked better for them, being more isolated was nice! Leigh's family were their closest neighbors but even then they were pretty far from each other. And now that house seems.. Abandoned. Hm. Dom will travel around farther with ParQuinn and Ghost Squad at various times.

Speaking of the cult, thats right around where Roadkill was found, by Ghost Squad. She's lived most of her life in an abandoned secluded house, after her mother ran away with her, but not far, from the cult. Ghost Squad eventually gets in contact with Domino (hey, you're clearly both haunted by something, do you know how to deal with this kid?) and Domino brings Roadkill to live with his (secretly both of their) grandma, to try n raise her in a stable environment now.

Who knows where Leigh has gone the past decade or so since running away from his home, but he's sooo back baby. 😏 He's always been a small town boy! (just because the small town didn't particularly like him back, well that won't stop him!) Ahh, his house is just how he remembers it, just, maybe, falling a part a bit more. Just a fun fixer-upper project for him! :)

god if I get to that rewrite I am going to make cadenza an uncanny horror girlie. Doesn't blink nearly enough. Sits eerily still sometimes. Just beautiful and very sweet but also just Unnerving. I want the scene of her father finding her to be really uncomfortable, not just because of the tragedy, but because of the WAY Cadenza acts. The way she talks. I want her to speak in a way children do not speak, but sound calm, turned away from Hayden, still picking the flowers, maybe some soot on her. Then he asks her a question, and she turns around, and she looks at him and there's tears running down her face, but her expression is mostly calm, her eyes wide open, looking into his, as she tells him how her mother and father are burning alive in the village. Clearly something is WRONG with her. And maybe Hayden chalks it up to the trauma at first, the way she responds to the tragedy, but even as she grows up, she's still got that weird stare, that odd way of speaking.
