#legend of zelda #loz #twilight princess #loz tp #i'm still reeling that someone sent me an ask about this one.. that they took the time to find my tumblr and tell me they liked it #it really meant a lot; thank you to anyone that stops to leave comments like that. they make me happy #but yeah! here's the usual symbolism ramble:#i thought it'd be cool to have the 'spirits' flowing one way and the cats walking through them the other way #to kinda show the difference in life inhabiting the village in the past and present #link's face is covered because impaz was just waiting for 'the hero' so his clothes are what matters; not his face #and it (hopefully) gives a surreal and intangible sense to 'the hero' she could only hope would actually show up #you can feel free to interpret the glowy blue sheikah as ghosts or just as memories of the past! i couldn't decide either way #the one on the bottom left is oot impa since she's implied to be the village founder. so i guess she would be a ghost actually?#fan art #my art #project stuff #and ahhh the book-- everyone's stuff is so beautiful!!#especially the writing. some of the fics made me really tear up and some were so fun and clever. i really love them #a lot of them captured the sheer burden of the role of the sheikah; all of the time and grief and doubt #i know i always say this stuff about every project but. the people i get to work with in these are truly so skilled every time

New idea: Shinsou is supposed to be babysitting Eri but he has to do something so he leaves Denki in charge for a little bit, he comes back expecting the house to be burnt down but instead he finds Eri begging Kaminari to let her re-dirty up her room so they can clean it together again

#kaminari is good with kids i just know it #got this idea while listening to the Mary Poppins classic Spoonful of Sugar #he turns it into a game and she forgets its a chore #at one point he turns it into a race #“if you can clean your side of the room faster than i can clean my side ill get you icecream!”#she excitedly starts cleaning the room and once shes super focused he stops cleaning his side #he was gonna give her ice cream anyway #when she finishes her side he goes “great job! now help me finish my side and we can get some icecream!” and they both work on that side #hes a tricky guy #he may not do great in school but hes still VERY clever #then when theyre done he goes “Okay! You know what gets me about Hancock’s strongroom?

There’s not much actually in there.

Obviously there’s the odd assortment of randomly generated guns & ammo, plus the caps you get from Bobbi. that’s to be expected.

But Hancock practically says that’s not even where he keeps most of his caps anyway when he calls the 1000 caps he asks back for chump change.

The non-generated stuff is two fusion cores, two stealth boys….

But what’s mostly in there are some waters and what amounts to a random assortment of snack foods like Fancy Lads and Sugar bombs. Those are always there.

Right next to a sleeping bag that’s got a few wooden blocks next to it.

Conclusion?

We broke into Hancock’s hangover room that he goes to whenever he just wants some damn peace and quiet.

The analogous colors with complimentary details and the general shift towards #Orange/Green is so pretty! You really get a sense that she feels strongly attached to xxc during the pre-empathy scenes #and that she has a strong sense of loyalty and perseverance with strong survival instinct #but then you see her before all the tragedy and you *immediately* learn she is a clever trickster!#She follows xxc not out of gratitude but out of a sense that this guy is her meal ticket.#xxc is kind and strong but most importantly *noble*#she can smell the self-sacrificing bright eyed hope on this stranger. She knows the mere fact she's a young blind girl means #he will protect her. The fact he gives her a little money doesn't hurt her justification but tbh she would have followed all the same #a-qing is *the* catgirl of all time actually. Follows you for the fact you provide food and shelter. Opportunistic. May grow to be loyal.#That's not even getting into the parallels here between these two characters and wwx (who is seeing these events play out)#the yi city trio are arguably the three split aspects of wwx: who he feels like (a-qing the opportunist) who he wants to be (xxc the noble)#and who he feels seen as (xy the vengeful).#one day I'll write a more robust analysis on that. prob in the tags though #(His a-qing parallels are also tied with the fact they both were street rat orphans who learned how to code-switch to be whoever #they need to be to feel safe. My mood baseline has been like 30% higher than usual this past week, because I'm spending 4h/day reading Dungeon Crawler Carl.

I've had bad luck with recs for 'good books' due to divergent ideas of what is good. But I bet people's ideas of addictive books are pretty convergent.

Please rec me the most addictive books/webnovels you know of. No "it's addictive if you make it past the first 150pgs", thanks. I prefer to spend my textual marshmallow points on nonfiction.

#rambl #i mildly disliked the hunger games as a reading experience and DCC is like if someone removed all the parts I disliked #and jacked up the parts I did like 1000x #the metagame; being coerced to go on talk shows; the clever survival tricks; complex relationships w the other survivors #in between fighting for your life you also get pulled into meetings about the lawsuit about the trick you used to survive last time #which has financial & political consequences for the powerful galactic factions who sponsor & run & fight in the game #very long & only a small % of the wordcount is character focused but what you get of the MC is complex and I find it highly enjoyable #big guy with big blindspots! there's one page in book 3 or 4 where he mentions his girlfriend did [insane relationship thing] not once #but like 10 times #and it suddenly makes you understand something about that relationship & what she wanted from him & what neuroses she had #but does HE understand. no. and it's delicious.
