Netflix, I don’t know how to tell you this but a woman doesn’t have to be self taught to be a strong female character. It’s ok to let her know her limitation and ask for help. It’s ok to let her get angry, it’s ok to let her be jealous, it’s ok to let your female character have flaws and WORK on them. Your female character doesn’t have to become a master on her own to be memorable, it just makes her accomplishment feel unearned.

btw i feel like this shouldn't have to be said but the reason that agatha hates rio is because agatha didn't get to say goodbye to nicky. rio couldn't offer her any more time. and, in rio's mind, nicky going peacefully in his sleep (and even telling him to turn around and kiss agatha goodbye!!) is the one grace rio feels she can give agatha. nicky doesn't suffer. he doesn't fight. he just...goes. he goes on a walk with his mother and kisses his mama goodbye. but agatha doesn't get to say goodbye!!! she doesn't get those final moments with him!! she wakes up and he's already gone.

In short- the bugs of Hallownest did not take it well. Lots of screaming about "The end of the world" and "past sins coming back to haunt them". Elderbug almost had his second heart attack and basically every bug, other than the Pale King children and Quirrel, hid for several hours. (Zote likes to claim he was the first to make contact)

As for why Dewi's Dad is in Dirtmouth? Well, he wasn't very happy when his 11 year old son told him about going into a 'mysterious cave' to see his bug friends. Adult supervision and all that.

anyone else ever think about that scene in episode 7 of sophomore year when ragh found out his mom is dead but she isnt really dead her consciousness was in another body, and he started saying "do all our hugs count? it wasnt her real body but they count right?" and then fig hugs the gem her dad is trapped in and goes "IS THIS NOT A HUG?" and ragh hugs HER and they all start crying and adaine says my "parents never hugged me" and kristen just goes "i hold trackers hand quietly"

im rambling on tumblr because i can't quite ramble on twitter but the thing i love most about butches , especially the more hypermasc ones is how gentle they are . everyone always treats them like caricatures with no feelings besides aggression , but they're honestly so nuturing and caring. you feel yourself slip into this princess like state whenever you're with them . you feel their arm around your waist proudly in public and their teeth slightly kiss your neck and you just wanna melt into them . they'll call you the sweetest names and care for you in a way that comes to them like breathing . its honestly such a pleasure to be loved by them and be able to express your own love in turn . not in a way most lesbians deem acceptable which is this mirrored "do for me what i'll do for you exactly" but a "take care of me the best way you know how and i will do the same"
