Love that stupid hairbrushing scene where Padme pretends to brush her curly hair. It's so doll-like, but the doll she's playing with is herself. Putting on a performance for her husband, but really acting out a fantasy for herself.

day 290

so today's art is not a drawing, but a cosplay prop for my jane doe! this doll i thrifted came with a cute dress, but it was in a bright floral pattern and didn't really match the spooky aesthetic. so i seam-ripped it apart, salvaged the lace inserts, and used the rest as a pattern to make her a new one! (i also had to, yknow, behead her and patch up the neck hole.)

but she's great!! i am so pleased with how the dress turned out, and she even has a little music box inside her that i think is great for the overall ambiance

I like thinking that Vee must be so happy and relieved that her Mama came back unharmed, sure she's going to give that one hell of a conversion about Luz and Hunter, but first Camila will need to survive several minutes of a bone crushing full body hug from an almost adult basilisk :)

Also I imagine Camila somehow got her a hexes hold'em deck, because that's still her favorite snack.

i like imagining that a nearly-adult vee would hug just like hooty. full anaconda-style wraparound. camila is getting SNUGGLED and her back is getting CRACKED.

I've been watching old Project Runway episodes and my take is: whatever they were paying the fat models to participate in the "real woman" challenges just so the contestants could throw dramatic fits over how much they despise fat bodies? It was not enough.

My halfling witch found her parents after 30 years today :) She'd been found alone on a trail covered in blood as a baby with her familiar, her parents missing.

And now their heads are in her bag. Because that's all they were. Heads.

Digitalised + coloured + redesigned version of my Suiren and Vaatu sketch from two days ago, as promised!!

Coming up with Suiren’s design was a very long process of trying and failing because after you’ve drawn 9+ different versions of one character, the creativity starts to run a little dry, but I’m actually really proud of this one, she looks absolutely adorable <3

(Also yeah I did mostly just scribble Vaatu’s pattern because who has the energy to draw the all out accurately. Not me, that’s who, I’m chronically tired. People who draw him on the regular have my utmost respect. He’s still a funky little guy though :D)
