AUGUST/SEPTEMBER UPDATE

Heya everybody! We’re back for a double episode of, “The Monthly Jayce Myles Comics Updates”! The reason why August wasn’t fulfilled like normal was due to college and how busy I immediately got when entering in, which is what I figured would happen so I’m not too surprised with it to be honest. I took some time in order for me to make a fulfilling update instead of doing a rushed one to pump out yk? We’re now gonna get to the updates and bonus content I’m gonna show.

Buckle your seat belts, close your eyes and take your hands off the wheel cuz this is gonna be a ride~

THE COMIC

The comic’s gotten slower due to college, however, I really needed a break from it in general so I could prioritize my personal life and also refresh myself on drawing what I want to instead of rushing my age physically and turn 78 years old when I haven’t even reached 20 yet. Nothing much to say but showing the w.i.ps because of the slower progress, it’s getting there though. We got to 30 pages! Which means that the first section is sketched out (calculated to be approximately a fourth of the full chapter done, it could go lower or higher in the numbers depending on what I want/vision). I’m hella proud for getting 30 of them pages done honestly. A huge accomplishment for doing this story for a long while.

Ya’ll don’t really know, but I am indeed changing things here and there about the story where I’m shifting small details, doing redesigns, and reboots with other small things overall. I would be honest and say that’s where I’m progressing the most and not the debut chapter, I’m able to have a clearer vision of the story in my head and on paper when doing future chapters yk? I won’t go into details about redesigns or those details being changed since they’re hella spoilerish and a bit unnecessary considering that the JMC hasn’t even debuted yet. Ya’ll will get those details later when the comic functions and I will reveal more in future updates!

Also, last month Jae, no you haven’t drawn the turtles yet. However, we’re close to their debut for the chapter so keep strong! You’re doing great! :3

BONUS CONTENT: Jayce Myles Over The Years

Many of you know that Jayce Myles, whose name is in the title of the series, is our protagonist for this ROTTMNT comic! She’s my OC that I’ve had when going through my senior year of high school. We’re gonna be getting into a deep dive with her as a character and how their designs came to be during the process!

This is the first ever drawing of Jayce that I’ve done, the day I made it is so vivid in my head because I was going through it… I was in my Pre Calculus class and I had failed another test after multiple attempts through the school year. My initial idea was to cry (which I did) but then I just started doodling on my phone and I created this drawing, then from there it was history. This was in 2022, not too long ago. I became a Rise fan a couple weeks after the movie came out (which I didn’t know at the time, it was a pure coincidence) and I wanted to create a Rise OC for a while. So that day in Pre-Calc, I was able to take advantage of my mathematical suffering and create my magnum opus (exaggerated). She didn't have a name at the time so it was actually a stand in for me. Jayce got their full name until a couple days later.

EVOLUTION OF JAYCE MYLES

(October 2022- February 2024)

As you all can see, Jayce did indeed have lots of designs and ideas being sketched out while I created her as my official Rise OC. I had ideas for them to have an androgynous look from the start based off of my own self! I knew they were gonna have a Rise comic, but there were ideas for them to originally come from the 2012 TMNT universe with their "serious demeanor". It was quite interesting but there isn't much media of those ideas since they were cut a bit early on.

Their signature color looked like it was gonna be this denim blue for quite a while but then I scrapped it cuz I thought it wasn't showing their personality like how I want it to. There was also another scrapped concept where Jayce's demeanor would be more monotone and "soft" (as in a blank slate, which doesn't give her a true personality). It was cut because it made me think that I wasn't giving her the best potential as the protagonist then I should've been giving them. Jayce was more introverted and quiet, but now they're much more expressive and full of personality. Ya'll will see in a more better light when the comic debuts, I'm not holding back with Jayce's personality anymore.

There were lots of pitches and concepts for the JMC over the years too, where lots of storyboards got drafted and one of the first of those drafts got their first page completed. However, I'm pulled a Richard Williams and kept being like "No, I don't like this" and kept going back to the drawing board. I like to look back on these old drafts especially after seeing the older interactions and how different they're gonna be in the official comics. I for sure was learning over 2023 and 2024...

Now finally, we're gonna touch on the last thing for this update~

JMC'S FINALIZED PILOT (ADDITIONAL CHARACTER)

We are going to talk just a teeny bit about the debut chapter but I'm able to become vague without spoiling too much since lots of the older pitches were scrapped. But yes, this was when I came up with the idea, "What if Jayce had a job?"

That's where the idea of Jayce working at a deli joint came from. Where she would have to get a 9-5 and possibly fired, it was pretty funny when doing the drafts since I never knew how a real deli worked and my dumbass just used my mom's experience at Denny's as referenced (she walked out and quit after almost a year).

Thus, our pilot was born.

The shop itself was based off of a friend's film back in junior year. He made a FNAF parody called, "Five Nights At Fernando's" and it was such a stupid assignment but that gave me the idea of making use of the dumbass "Fernando's Shop" and make it a reality. So then Fernando's Taco Shop was created and we had the shop Jayce worked at. We already talked a bit about Archie and his deal in the first JMC Monthly Update and I can't say anymore due to spoilers but he was also involved of the creation of the pilot.

The older pitches had a cashier or a manager be like some NPC ahh character that never was gonna be brought up ever again but something in me thought it would be a cute idea to create an actual character for this manager that wasn't a stupid bossy ass hoe. It was very sweet in the drafts so I thought I could create more with that concept in mind.

Introducing: Rogelio Andazola!

His design is one that is the most consistent when compared to the rest of the roster, I guess that I hit the nail with his because I couldn't imagine him any different. There are only minor changes like his gray strands disappearing (bro reverse aged) and his facial expressions are much more expressive after I played around during the soft reboot. Once again (and as annoying as it is), you will all see where I'm coming from when the debut chapter releases! Rogelio as a character has also altered his personality, he's based off of my grandpa, can't wait to show you how that comes into play in the story!

Thank you all so much for sticking around for this very heavy update! I worked way too much for the photos to be sent on here and dug up lots of my old art in order for this to become a reality! It was actually insane that I kept lots of it instead of making it turn into lost media, I'm happy I got to show lots of it instead of having to make it the fuck up by memory (which I wouldn't have done in the first place and is an exaggeration). The comic is slaying in the runway and I'm working on it here and there at my own pace. Maybe next time I can finally show ya'll the turtles in the next W.I.P in the comic section. * i finished redesigning my main iterator ocs ... this is the trinkets group and while i dont have proper full names for all of them i do have nicknames

* everyone in the trinkets local group has some sort of point of interest that they study / research / create !

1. "Parade" (he/him) - second oldest of the group, point of interest - slugcats . creates a concerning amount of slugcats , redesigned his Guts (as in the superstructure interior) to be slugcat-safe , even changed his name and slightly modified his puppet to reflect slugcats . his favorite is the byproduct which was an accidentally created slugcat-like blob organism resulting from trying to make a beetle cat lol . cut off the rest of the group cuz in his eyes they were pestering him to stop doing what he loved )basically the QUIT HAVING FUN image) (his original (as in pre-redesign not in-universe) name was Parade Of A Thousand Slugs in reference to thousands of slugcats Parading in his superstructure lol)

2. "Flicker" (it/they) - youngest of the group (along with skies) , point of interest - ice (and the safety of its friends) . has a little purposed overseer that they send into the others' cans to check in on them , really doesnt think abt ice that much but its half of the two's shared can is very cold

3. "Skies" (she/they) - youngest of the group (along with flicker) , point of interest - fire . her half of the two's shared can is very very Hot . got a Fire Slugcat from parade as a "i dont wanna talk to you guys anymore but im not dead" gift or something . dating breeze . also likes picking on flicker and is a bit impulsive and has a short fuse

4. "Comets" (she/star) - oldest of the group , point of interest - unknown, assumed to be pearls . unlike everyone else she doesnt make use of broadcasts and instead replies to everyone using pearls delivered by her freaky little messenger star named bubblegum . everyone ( especially flicker) is worried star'll collapse soon bc of her age ... sends most of her pearls to flicker . seen as serene and wise

5. "Breeze" (she/her) - a little older than skies and flicker , point of interest - vultures . has a "pet" vulture named charlotte and a dedicated overseer for making sure shes safe named pixie . just thinks birds are cool !! dating skies . im still kinda workin on her . very jolly

6. "Stones" (they/them) - aged somewhere between breeze and parade .. point of interest - the rot . Uh so basically they used to find it super fascinating and eventually bc of research caught it themself and shrugged it off as "oh yay i get to do experiments on them now!!!!" and lets justr say . letting lots of rot cysts crawl around your can is not a good idea! somehow their puppet rotted on the inside and it severed their head . regret regret regret

I recently redrew my subclass ocs! Every. Single. One.

So here's all of em

oh also some of the Svs have outfit changes or little things added on or like bits of redesign

also warning:there's gonna be mentions of death and ways people die so just a fair warning

here's Nyx, Kuro's subclass! They died in the Trojan war as a bystander (why was Kuro in Greece?... I don't know man...) so now they kinda go and do their own thing but they go to bother Kuro every once in a while. They often travel during the day by wearing tons of white (for less sun absorption) and covering all of their skin. They also have a bad habit of talking without thinking.

next is Amira who's Hugh's subclass! She died in a car "accident" shortly after her kid passed away. She's quite motherly towards the people around her and her bag contains anything you could possibly imagine.

Then it's CeeCee! (Fun fact I've drawn her 4 years in a row) she died because she was in a witch trial [she rejected a girl {this was prior to CeeCees transition} and the girl accused her of witchcraft] and she's very attached to JeJe and is all over him half of the time. [Mikuni is jealous... Little does he know JeJe has no interest in women {hc} and CeeCee has a gf]

Then there's Irene who's Freya's subclass! She died in a war because she crossed dressed to get in and died on the battle field [forgot to give her an animal motif...] due to her injuries she has to wear hearing aids and she freaks out about loud noises and paints to cope

Next is Jonathan! He died because he got drunk one night and might've accidentally outed himself... So... He was murdered... He also likes to cook a lot and he owns an immortal puppy (don't ask I can't handle him losing a dog.) named Diablo! He's also a massive hopeless romantic.

Now there's Anita (pink) and Catherine (red) ! They're Ildio's subclasses! Anita died because she was a lady of the night and a client made her uncomfortable w his requests so she refused and he killed her. Now she's kind of hostile to really anyone new around her. She's also a massive chain smoker-

Catherine was arranged to be married to a mentally and physically abusive man who killed the actual love of her life. So on her wedding day she shot herself and now enjoys praying on people for blood so- but she's a lot nicer than Anita.

This is Lilian she's Lily's subclass and honestly looks like a ghost Victorian child. My friend suggested making a character albino but I might have made her too white.... But I thought it was interesting and made her stand out more so I kept it. She died due to starvation and neglect form her parents. Her older sister who was only about a year or two older was doing her best to keep her alive but there was only so much she could do. Now the two live in the mansion and her sister works there and is still alive.

Lastly we have Wisteria who's Tsubaki's subclass! They died by oding shortly after their family was brutally murdered. Now they kinda people watch for fun and flirt with Tsubaki for shits and giggles and is purely here now for the ride.

And ways this concludes my redesigns on my ocs and redesigns on some of the Svs (let's be real it's like almost all of them)

His Hell name is Sci,as he is an overlord who shares his territory with his twin brother,who’s hell name is Ninja. They’re both called the Bloody Twins and imma explain why but individually,starting with Ninja who’s the oldest.

Now I hope you don’t mind the fact that I made these in gacha but I rlly like their designs- they’re actually redesigned bc I originally made them differently in a more cringy way like in 2021- idk if you wanna see those but I doubt it- anyways

This is Ninja,his full over lord name is The Bloody Ninja as seen in the screenshot.

His human name when alive is Liam Marie-Jeanette- I’ll explain their parents later

When alive,he was the golden child out of him and his brother,his parents favored him more while leaving his brother to basically fend for himself. Liam stayed around his brother the most,absolutely adoring him and helping him grow up with a decent childhood. At the age of 14 he killed his father (I’ll explain in a bit) and both him and Sci were orphaned. Out of the two twins,he started working at an early age as an assassin. Around the age of 20,he found a woman,married her and had a kid with her. The reason he’s called the Bloody Ninja is because he leaves his murder scenes EXTREMELY bloody and the fact that he used every Japanese weapon because they looked cool asf and it just felt right. About almost 10 years later,its December 31st,1929. He’s running from the person he’s supposed to kill,he fell off a taller building and landed on a smaller one on top of a fuck ton of firework rockets,his left eye getting stabbed by one of them. The fireworks exploded and he got severe injuries and third degree burns,he died from his injuries.

In death,he started gaining a bit of power. New technologies from the different demons that were there from different parts of the world,upgrading his weapons at a constant,the thing is….he died on new years,the day when the extermination happens. Bro grabbed angelic weapons and forged Japanese weapons,Nina stars,katanas,etc,out of the metal.

Now let’s move onto his brother and my main oc lol.

That is Sci,The Bloody Scientist,seen in his screenshot.

His human name was Lucas Marie-Jeanette.

He was the forgotten twin mainly,his parents hated him because they only wanted one kid,they didn’t expect two. Lucas spent most of his time reading,anything that his parents taught Liam,Liam would teach it to Lucas. That’s where he learned how to read and write and talk and walk. As he grew older,he found science related books,physics,chemistry,botany,biology- everything! When he was 14,he was just using a chemistry kit he bought himself with his own money that he found and managed to earn in his earlier kid age (10 thru 13). His mother walked in and because she just hated her second crotch goblin,she grabbed his science books and his chemistry kit and threw them away. Lucas got mad,so he grabbed a nearby glass shard and slit her throat with it. His father just so happened to walk past and he grabbed him and started trying to drag him out of the house to throw him out and leave him in the streets,this is where Liam comes in and kills him. Liam didn’t want his shitty father to throw away his only pride and joy of that time.

Now orphaned,the boys do what they have to do in order to survive,they taught themselves to cook and do the chores,Lucas already know how to do most of them because of his mother making him do it. While Liam bounced from job to job,earning money,Lucas took care of the house,buying the groceries when they had enough and also helping his brother when he needed the help. At the age of 16,Lucas was already about to graduate from university,thanks to Liam saving up since they started earning money. Already at the age of 20,Lucas had just graduated from his doctorate in science and he was Liam’s best man in his wedding. Out in town just on a walk,grabbing different items from shops he ran into a rather odd fellow. A famous radio host from that very same town in Louisiana! (Sound familiar? Yeah cause its the smiling deer man himself when alive lmao I wrote it in Sci’s bio I still find it funny when I read it)

They end up starting a conversation due to Alastor asking why he was undressed,which confused our young scientist.

-“Whatever do you mean? As far as you and I are both concerned,I have all the required garments.under and over,that would show that I am not undressed in any sense.”

-“What I mean,my dear,is that you’re not smiling! You’re never fully dressed without a smile,my masculine fellow!”

They walk down the streets while discussing back and forth on why this is even a topic. They end up knowing more about each other and well,they become acquaintances. Lucas returns home,he’s still living with Liam until he can get his own place,and Liam asks him what took him so long while holding his sweet baby girl in his arms,letting his wife rest.

-“What in gods green earth took you so long? You had me worried sick. God Lu. You need a better grasp on time management.”

-“I apologize,Liam. I seemed to have bumped into the famous radio host New Orleans has to offer and well…he asked me a rather conflicting question that had no logic to it.”

Lucas proceeds to fucking explain everything in precise detail of what happened between him and Alastor.- Liam keeps it stored for now in his mind and just tells him to go wash up because and it seemed that Lucas didn’t notice that he was all sweaty- of which he then goes to shower.

Time passed and Lucas seemed rather fond of the radio host,though,having a stern,unchanging poker face,he never seemed to show it. Alastor would try to make him smile in every way,shape or form. Which then leads him to realize….he’s growing fond of the scientist- but not in a friendly manner,oh no….its more than that.

One faithful day,in fact,it was Lucas’s turn to celebrate his birthday,becoming 21 years old was a big deal for Liam,not so much for Lucas,Alastor wanted to make Lucas smile finally. He proceeded to go to an antique store and he found a very lovely gold pocket watch (the watch Sci has in his hand). He buys it,puts the box in wrapping paper and puts a lovely bow on it. He took Lucas on a picnic in a very lovely area. The scientist proceeded to just thank him for doing something nice like this,despite not needing to.

-“Oh but I wanted to,my dear! …Here. I got you a little gift for this festive day.”

He gave Lucas the box,who opened it,confused. He grew up not knowing what love and affection and happiness was…but he learned what they were thanks to his brother and now,Alastor. He saw the gold pocket watch and he froze,proceeding to pull the watch out and looking at it as it said on the front of it “New Orleans,Louisiana 1890”. Oh but that wasn’t it. He proceeded to tear up as he turned it around and saw a small A+L on it. His face grew red and he looked at Alastor with tears in his eyes before he gave him a small,but happily loving smile. He thanked him and hugged him tightly. That was also the day they confessed and the day they became….”roommates” ;) (and they were roommates)

It was the Great Depression. And it’s also the year that Lucas became a cannibal alongside Alastor. Imma quickly say…the reason he’s the Bloody Scientist is that he used random (non innocent) people as guinea pigs for his experiments and they would mainly explode suddenly and leave the room all bloody. Anyways. Lucas and Alastor were now cannibals but they were also switches (ahEm. Their favorite place to do it was the office on the desk,taking turns, also sub!Alastor supremacy like cmon man. AHeM) :).

But not everything good lasts forever. The year was 1931. Lucas was walking with Alastor into the dark woods in the middle of the night. He lead him to a delightful scenery,Lucas was besides Alastor when all of a sudden he stepped on a branch and it alerted a nearby hunter who shot him twice,in his neck and in his chest. Lucas died in Alastor’s arms but not before smiling widely and cupping his face.

-“You…were the best thing….that ever….happened to me…..I love you…thank you for being here for me…never forget me..”

Once he arrived in hell,he immediately remet with his brother,they hugged each other tightly before proceeding to wreak havoc and chaos on Hell. They quickly rose the ranks.

The king of hell himself was surprised when Lucas suddenly appeared in his mansion/palace. He formally introduced himself and he quickly became a favorite of the sweet princess of hell,she started calling him uncle. Which made Lucas,now Sci,very emotional,reminding him of his sweet niece of whom he attended the wedding of. He knelt down to Charlie’s height,which made Lucifer be on edge before being surprised that he hugged Charlie as tears rolled down his face. It made him curious of the sinner so he allowed him to be Charlie’s adoptive uncle.

The way Sci kills sinners is mainly with his needle tail that’s filled with a lovely serum that makes them combust into blood and never recover because he added angelic weapon metal flakes to it and it makes it very lethal.

The twins met a very interesting fellow one day who offered them power beyond their imaginations before they became overlords…..they’re both on a leash.

More than 80 years later,a knock stumbled upon the hotel’s doors. Charlie was the one originally expecting the person that knocked,so she happily opened the door and let them in,much to the confusion of the others,including deer man himself. The figure walked in and Charlie gave him a small tour of the lobby before starting to introduce him to the people in the hotel. Pentious knew who he was so he immediately geeked out as he is a fan of this specific demon. Nifty of course is her usual self. Husk,kinda knowing who he is,offers him a drink to which he agreed to. Angel,trying his usual seduction tricks,got denied in the most….polite way that made him apologize which was unusual. Vaggie,knowing who he was,was skeptical but trusted Charlie and was surprised when she said he’s her adoptive uncle. She went to introduce him to Alastor but Alastor was silent which was unusual for him and he examined the fellow before being his old chipper self. Though after introductions,Sci pulled out a gold pocket watch to check the time,much to Alastor’s surprise who froze right then and there and surprised everyone else from how he’s acting.

-“I’m sorry,my dear….but where did you get that beautiful watch?”

-“This old thing? My partner gave it to me on a very special day. Why?”

-“May I see it?”

Sci quietly closes the watch and hands it to him. Alastor proceeds to examine the watch before turning it around and freezing before looking at him,smile almost gone before quietly going.

-“Lucas..?”

His voice without a radio filter sounded just like him when alive. Lucas quietly examined him before freezing,grabbing the pocket watch,putting it away and hugging him tightly. Charlie awws at the scene. Everyone is confused before Alastor explains.

-“wait..radio pimp did get laid?? Oh that’s fuckin’ rich!”

When the war against heaven happened,he was killing angels effortlessly and with glee as Ninja watched alongside the V’s,mainly ignoring Vox.

He was worried when Alastor suddenly disappeared but enjoyed watching Lucifer beat the shit out of Adam.-

He very much enjoyed helping Charlie rebuild the hotel and he was even more happy when Alastor returned,smiling at the scene and hugging him tighter than everyone.

Months later,he finally reveals in front of everyone,why he wanted to lead Alastor out before he died. He pulls out a box from his pocket,gets on one knee and fucking proposes to him right then and there,making him CRY IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. Alastor says yes and about 4 weeks later,they get married.- now onto kids.

Sci knows that guys can’t have kids- but who said that’s stopping him from making ways on how to get kids.- bro literally makes a serum that he injects himself with before him and Alastor…get it on- and he manages to get himself…pregnant- I know- what a sudden twist- but but but. When he does have their little creation,they have twins- oh what a coincidence because he himself IS a twin- he names the twins Juniper and Berry- because he loved picking juniper berries to make poison with. Nicknames his baby girl June and absolutely loves Berry as well- June is the exact copy of Alastor with Sci’s eyes and Berry is a perfect mix of both-. Sci pulls the serum stunt again and they have another baby- a baby girl who’s basically the exact copy of Sci with hints of Alastor’s palette and she’s a fucking dorable.

Now let’s move onto the shit parents. Their parents aren’t really American- their dad is French,their mom is British,(I can imagine Al going nuts for a French British s/o 👀),both of them were pedos. Because every fucking friend they brought over,they would sexually harass and sometimes manage to non consensually no-no them. So they made them be loners.- they meet their boys again in hell- only to get absolutely slaughtered by ninja and sci’s new powers- alongside Al and him and sci’s kids- so in the end its a happy ending for everyone except the shit parents :D!

Day 3 - Old OC(s) ! uhm i made these three originally pre 2018 (all at the same time), but I did reboot their story sometime in this decade before redesigning them and, i guess, also designing them lmao. before then only iam (ghosty girl with the long hair) had actully ever been drawn, though sindy i've always had the idea of a blue dress and pigtails. originally they were 6-10 years old and existed in short stories i would write. they also have one superpower each. but since i grew up and they never had a real like continuity or anything, when i decided to use them again i aged them up to highschool and using my memory of this longer story i attempted once, gave them a falling out in their friendship and decided to write about how they all die.

i wound up scrapping the death thing later but it's incredibly funny that i immediately was like "how about i kill them" and tht stuck around for a while until i looked at sindy's death and thought i could make like a nice theme out of her NOT dying. so. yeah.

Sindy was always the youngest and bubbliest one of the trio. her power is foresight, though originally she could only see up to a few seconds into the future. I upgraded this to a week and came up with her seeing her own death and being able to do nothing to stop it. which is actually a really neat allegory in hindsight considering how she died. take a gander at her death. For her younger design she's always looked something like that. gave her mary janes bc those were like the only shoes i could wear as a kid. For her older design... yeah idk i just wanted to keep her more childish still with an increase of black spread throughout. yknow. for depression.

amelia is the oldest* and most mature of the group. artificially mature. her power is teleportation! i don't recall any drawbacks but it was probably that she could only teleport short distances at a time. but she like. just did chain teleporting to get around this lmao. sounds like something i would design. originally she died by earthquake. like she was hit by a rock just as she was teleporting out and then she was just an electric current. pretty neat idea. For her younger design... Amelia initially had no design. just long brown hair. I think she was designed to be more modest in order to reflect her personality, though? I'm not sure. I like giving characters boots. For her older design i thought "rebellious teen". one of the "popular girls". with certified angry depression. i probably should've mentioned that i was following the bad end version of that longer story.

iam (originally a name i made the fuck up pronounced "i am" but i guess you can pronounce it how it's actually pronounced. bc it IS a real name) is intended to be an age between sindy and amelia but she's part ghost. so. anyway her power is that when she dies, she respawns as a ghost in a cave her first incarnation died in. and after a while of being a ghost, she respawns there again, fully alive. kinda like when you bubble a friend in co-op mario. but worse. her personality was very feisty and temperamental. because she was a kid. she mellows out after her imaginary boyfriend got banished to a parallel dimension. actually no she doesn't she gets the tears depression. they all get different depression. gotta catch em all? she didnt have a specific death. actually her death is old age bc thats the only way she can die and then get reincarnated. i decided that at some point.

for her younger design i always just drew her looking like that. not the scars, maybe, but she had raggedy clothes and frizzled hair. because she just keeps dying. it's like sport for her. for her older design... yeah no that's just a natural evolution no notes. actually 1 note. i think it would've been neat to keep it relatively the same design and have her not really age when a ghost. but that's a bit too tragic and allegorical of grief for me right now

I just wanted to add more to his design because he was kind of lame and boring before 😝😝😝 I also wanted him to look more like his mom since I actually have a design for her now

This is his mom she does not have a name yet ( neither do any of the others that are going to be in this post ). I think she's lovely I actually like her a lot. Worlds most stressed mother and the one kid who isn't even there to cause stress is the main cause of it anyway.

This is Paeden's sister 😝 she's adopted but her and Paeden are still technically twins because they hatched at the same time. It's like girls and their periods syncing up. I am kind of tempted to name her Peyton because I think it'd be funny to give them basically the same name but I'm probably not going to do that because it'd be very confusing if I was ever talking about them out loud.

This is the leader of their group she's got those freaky colors. She never really liked Paeden. She saw a darkness in his eyes. She's cool though I like her. I say like I didn't design her.... She lost her arm to a braviary protecting some kids a while back. Animalistic food chains exist in this world.

This is the kid that Paeden fought that was one of the final straws to him being exiled because he was deemed a danger to others 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Classic mediocre bully. Might be the leaders kid I haven't decided yet. this is also an older drawing bee tee dubs.

I AM SOOOOOO GLAD YOU ASKED...get ready for a long answer

Please note that all of these headcanons are cowritten by @sector-v and some of the kid OCs are his. I'll say which ones.

Let's start with Wally and Kuki

They foster kids, so a lot of kids have lived with them over the years, but three kids ended up sticking around. The two younger kids were adopted by them, and the older kid came into their home as an older teenager, so she just spent the rest of her childhood years with them.

Here they are:

Kat and Dirt Bug are in Sector V. I think Dirt's pronouns should be they/them instead maybe...I'm still developing these three, they're the newest of my kid OCs by several years. Dirt's name is like that because Wally let them name themself.

Kat- VERY energetic and impulsive. She's a bit sensitive, full of love and wonder, and prone to getting herself into trouble. She's very protective of her friends and siblings. She's also very into sports.

Dirt- Very curious and has absolutely no sense of danger. Also energetic, but mostly follows Kat around. Both Kat and Dirt LOVE bugs and collecting them. Dirt plays by their own rules, which they never share out loud. They somewhat live in their own reality, a lot like Kuki does.

Xue- She was in the foster system her whole life, so she's understandably standoffish around new people, including her new family. Her best friends are all internet friends. Wally and Kuki are trying to encourage her to get out more. I need to figure out more about her still.

Now for the Hoagie/Abby kids

I will admit my bias- Naomi is my favorite of all of them. Garth is @sector-v 's OC. Garth is short for Hogarth, making him Hogarth the Third!

Naomi is the leader of Sector V. Garth will join the KND too, but they won't be in Sector V at the same time, because of their age difference.

Naomi- Takes after both her parents to an alarming degree, but she has more energy than both of them put together. She loves inventing and engineering and is a huge extrovert. She's a natural leader who sometimes has a tendancy to be controlling. Her parents support anything she wants to do, so she's a very well-rounded kid with infinite resources. She's brilliant both academically and socially- and is a huge nerd...though she hates to be called one.

When she gets older, she's probably gonna start going by she/they

Garth- I don't know much about him yet, but he's definitely a typical younger brother in many ways.

Now...Lizzie and Nigel

They're a mixed family. Lizzie was married before she started talking to Nigel again, and she has one son from that previous marriage. His name is Joshua and he's @sector-v 's OC. Nigel becomes the Step Dad, but he hates being seen as the "parent" (he's got baggage about that). Lizzie and Nigel later have a child of their own, Monty Jr, who is also @sector-v 's OC. Actually this entire paragraph- pretend @sector-v wrote it, because these are all his ideas.

Joshua eventually joins Sector V, but was hesitant to at first.

Joshua- He and Naomi are inseparable best friends. Naomi got him to come out of his shell and pushed him to be more adventerous. Being raised by Lizzie, he's kind of meek and studious. He's a very well behaved kid, and Nigel doesn't know what to do with that.

Monty- I dunno he's a baby!

I could say more, but I think that's plenty! I have so many story ideas planned that feature them, but I have no idea if I'll ever draw them.

lalalala 4 month old reference piece thingy of one of my ppg ocs, Lucifera ! for some funny reason i've become deeply invested in her and my other oc's design/bio so theyre um 3 years in development at this point but if you've seen the older images of her well now theyre outdated as she's had a slight redesign :9 still changing things up but read more for a shortened bio !

Lucifera was born with naturally green skin to a party animal lady turned god fearing woman (she thought she was being "punished" for her ways) she attended a religious school for a while but that didn't go so well and the school eventually just kicked her out due to being a "distraction" (families + staff complaints, other children's teasings of her being disruptive) she got shit for merely existing and had teachings shoved down her throat and became more sympathetic towards the rising evil in Townsville in her teens from everything and would occasionally fantasize about becoming a Gangreen Gang member or at the very least some sort of villain...after getting expelled for getting into a violent fight at school her mother was about to send her off to a boarding school but Lucifera decided to change her looks (finally got out the gothy clothes she bought long before but feared wearing around her mom) then ran away that night and lived on her own for a bit. eventually she'd run into the Gangreen Gang after witnessing them rob a gas station which initially got her in trouble with them until she helped hide them from the Powerpuff Girls. They all then stuck together but ofc got confronted by the puffs every now and then. Another gal would eventually join (Serpentine) and other lovely things would take place, but Luci wouldn't always have things great after all this...more info TBA!

A concept that I wish I got around sooner, yeah Zenny is trans.

And I really hope I can give their story the time and thoughtfulness it deserves. (CW: Slight blood, shaving cuts)

At first the concept of working backwards for their design was really interesting since it was basically me going back to my old old Zenny designs for when they were just a guy I would use to insert myself into. Here is where Zenny and Emi looked a bit more similar with how they both have similar hair dangles on the side.

Then life happened and well, the previous concepts I had for Zenny being a femboy turned into being trans. Eventually I did a massive redesign so I can just doodle the simplified version of that little goblin as a clear distinction between me and Zenny

This was when I started to give Zenny more of an owl motif to their design

I eventually settled on this design before going more indepth with how much like an owl they should look since they looked a bit more like a moth than anything.

(Then I remembered how gravity worked on the cloak)

Then comes the more recent development with Zenny's design with the hair underhighlight.

Skipping ahead a bit this is the current design for Zenny that I still need to make a proper character sheet for since people can't tell that they straight up don't have a head.

CW: This is the part where I talk about really dysphoric shit like getting cuts while shaving and blood

Zenny and Luna are basically my first two OCs, so I wanted them to have some sort of interactions now that Luna and Robo Luna are separate characters.

At first it was a silly little love story similar to Pumpkin and Rosa's where they both don't feel like they deserve each other's love because of many reasons. For Zenny it's their gender dysphoria and how the version Zenny presents isn't the version they want Luna to love, and if I'm being real here I got nothing for Luna just yet, she could just be really hard time properly expressing her love and with how the story is set up to where she wouldn't be able to confess before the Hard Light Incident happened separating the two.

A few more ideas workshopping would help, right now I have it to where Luna and Zenny are childhood friends. Family stuff happened with Zenny and they didn't see each other through out middle school.

They would go to the same highschool together but couldn't see each other as often with how this was when Zenny started to discover that they were trans and how they're not in the same class as Luna in completely different friend groups. They cherish the times they are able to hang out together though.

Pre-HL Zenny was basically me subconsciously going back to older concepts I had for them and went about giving it a more subtle closeted trans change to it.

A quick personal story, as I was shaving my legs I got a small cut because I didn't use warm water. Even though it was just small cuts, it just kept on bleeding. And it was just a really stinging reminder of my own body. Then I thought "Who would comfort Zenny in this scenario?" Which admittedly is a bit messed up that I thought of this before myself but Zenny is basically a part of me, all of my characters are parts of me.

So it was just really cathartic (I think that's how you use that word) to have Luna comfort Zenny as she visits their home.

I intent to base parts of this story from a lot of my own personal life, not down to the exact details mind you but down to the important stuff.

IdLS is a project that I want to use as an outlet for my own life, and if somehow in the future this project gets popular enough and gets theories speculating what's going to happen next in the story.

I hope people can respect my privacy and don't dig up my old personal stuff that floats around the web. It's wishful thinking seeing how the internet works, but hey it doesn't hurt to have this sentiment out there.

OC-tober Day 3: Old OC

You know we gotta talk about the oldest OC(s) I've got: Sage and The Sages (worlds worst band name lol). This one's gonna flow real nice into tomorrow's, which will include new art! But for now, lets check out their og versions.

Sage is my actual oldest OC. She's the green weirdo. The Sages, named after her, are all ghosts that live inside of Sage (sage is also a ghost but she got a new body. and now she has to share it). That's the short version, that's all the context you need.

Here you go, I tracked down the first time I ever drew the Sages, circa 2016. Never before seen image.

Truly, nothing has changed.

Oh, except those names. So, initially, the Sages were intentionally 2-dimensional. The lore reason (though i dont remember if I had it written this far back) is because they're incomplete ghosts, called fragments. They literally only remember the tiniest bits about themselves, and that's what they act upon. So, I gave them fittingly simplistic names. I ended up changing this as I expanded their personalities, and also because they (quoting past me) "sound like edgy 7 dwarves." There was also a brief period where their names were Anger, Anxiety, Intelligence, and Insanity, but those were too pretentious even for me. Referring to them by color still conveys that lack of identity, without putting them in weird little boxes.

That "incomplete memory" thing is also why they all look like Sage. They forgot what they actually looked like, so their memory pulls from Sage's appearance instead, since they live in her body now.

Idk if ever talked fully about this, but this seems like a good place to do it: the Sages didn't start out as an equivalent to DID. They were based on a coping mechanism I had in middle school, which was more Inside Out if anything, and I didn't know a damn thing about DID. As I got older and wiser, there was a brief period where I tried to somehow do a "multiple people in one head" thing while trying to stay as far away from real disorders, but I'm fully leaning into it now, I've been doing my research. That's why their redesign was so important! I wanted them to be their own people, not just one-note personalities. Course, I'm still no expert, and they're still technically just ghost nonsense, so don't go taking my weirdos as actual representation. But I'm doing my best!

Wow, this really wasn't about Sage much. Uhhh did you know she started as a minecraft oc? Those are enchanted diamond boots in that first picture. Cool stuff!

Jae was 17 when she first joined, and 19 when she met 1,007, Niki, and Eliza, and now she was promoted to Captain once she turned 20 and married 1,007. Unfortunately due to a miscarriage into the two lover’s marriage, Jae grew afraid of being a mother. However once Mera joined and Jae learned that Mera’s and her older brother Dorian’s parents passed away she immediately adopted the two.

Niki joined at the age of 16, and gained a close bond with the Squid Sisters. Once Cuttlefish and Jae returned with Eliza in tow (she didn’t know her name was Eliza at the time she still couldn’t remember everything), Niki quickly fell in love with the octoling. Later one Niki asked the shy octo out and the two have been a couple ever since. Niki is 18 years old once Mera joins, and becomes quick friends with her. However learning of the true nature of Mr. Grizz from Mera’s story she immediately quits her job at Grizz.Co.

Eliza is 16 when she falls into the metro, losing her memory. Due to her jumpy and cautious nature, she doesn’t quite fit in the metro. She grows a familial bond with Marina and Pearl, through the texts on her communicator. However once she escapes the metro the nightmare of the place follows her around. She becomes friends with Jae and Niki and stays with Marina and Pearl for a while. During that time Marina has Eliza go to a psychiatrist, where she’s diagnosed with PTSD. Later on when Marina and Pearl go on tour, Eliza moves in with Niki. The two soon become girlfriends, but Eliza’s past memories still escape her. That is until one day when she’s out with her friends that a black octoling, tackled her in a hug. The octoling claims to be her older sister, Maggie, which triggers something, allowing Eliza to remember much more, including her name. Later on, Eliza is leading a much happier life as she recovers from the traumatic events of the metro, she’s 18 when Mera joins and finds comfort in knowing another Octoling who had to go through a similar experience she did. However Eliza’s adventure isn’t over yet, just wait till side order…

1,007 is a sanitized octoling, around the age of 22 (he doesn’t exactly remember his age). He was around 19 when he first met Jae, while she was sanitized. He was assigned to show her around since he was still redeeming himself from a little outburst towards his fellow sanitized. As soon as he met her, he was absolutely smitten. As they walked, they got to know a bit about each other, Jae still having some sense of who she was during her temporary sanitization. He asked her “So after all this whole, wiping the world clean thing, do you wanna go out?” And she answered yes. After the weapon was destroyed and Tartar was defeated, he was one of the rare Octolings to survive. He wasn’t set much on taking over the world, so now that he didn’t have to help in that he found his way to Inkopolis. He was reunited with Jae and the two fell in love all over again. The others were harder to accept him (especially Eliza) but he proved himself to be a very nice guy. Much later he was recruited as Agent 7, and worked alongside his lover. At 20, Jae proposed to him and the two were married. However once the miscarriage happened he was thrown into despair thinking he had failed his lover. However once he met Mera he immediately took a liking to her, being like a father figure. He immediately accepted adopting Mera and Dorian once Jae told him about it. He’s now an excellent father and adores his adopted kids.

Mera joined at the age of 15, placing her as the youngest agent to join. Her upbeat and energetic attitude keeps everyone on their toes! She has a little buddy she named “Francis Pineapple” who follows her everywhere! She was very excited to assist Cuttlefish, and was very excited to help Jae, Callie, and Marie. She gained a close bond with Jae, hanging out with the captain whenever she was bored. She becomes good friends with Deep Cut after the whole thing with Mr. Grizz. She lives with her 19 year old brother, Dorian, who takes care of her since their parents both passed away in a car crash. Jae and 1,007 learn about this and immediately adopt the two of them. Mera loves her found family and enjoys her role as Agent 3, learning from her mother. Mera later becomes friends with a strange octoling named, Daleyza, or as she prefers the nickname Del. (But we’ll get into her later)

After considering for a long time, I caved in today and decided to create more Twinsomnia OCs!

This little kids’ name is Leon! He’s a 5 year old adopted kid who’s obsessed with anything and everything space related. Because he’s an orphan, he’s def got some of that mandatory secret traumatizing backstory that haunts him but I haven’t concluded what exactly. Yet 🙂

At first, I wanted him to have this toy space helmet that he wears 24/7 and have him have poofy hair that takes up space (pun intended) in there, but I wanted to try something else for fun, so I gave him braids instead because braids are cool 👍🏾 I also switched his little star onesie for an astronaut one ‘cause that’s what he wants to be when he grows up!

I played with his shape language a couple of times to see how unique I can make him look, however I got stuck so I’m ultimately going with the classic “tiny body big head” look and will hopefully redesign him more along the way.

(P.S: I know it says his name’s Louie on this drawing but I eventually switched it to Leon because it just. Fits him better 🤷🏾‍♀️)

This is Nicole! (For now…or not, I haven’t decided quite yet). She’s 12 years old and the older sibling of Leon, who’s adopted to her family, and uh…she’s pretty much your average stuck-up teen girl in children’s coming of age movies. ✨With a soft spot!✨

The first time I drew her (sketch on the right)—well, I liked it, but the way she turned out wasn’t what I was trying to go with. She looks 16-17 in this one, and I specifically wanted her to look a bit younger.

Designing her was kind of a hassle, especially because she either A) Didn’t look the exact age I wanted her to look in my eyes, and B) Her hair made her look like Megatron from the Transformers G1 series.

But EVENTUALLY, I came across a design that I absolutely ADORE! I just changed her hair a bit from straight to a lil curly and BAM! My favorite character of this trio <3

And now the Shadow Thing…I don’t really feel like posting my process for this thing because I despise it for existing and tormenting Leon and Nicole. And because I ran out of room to add more photos. The closest thing we can get to a design process of it is from my Twinsomnia detective “episode” post.

I didn’t plan on making it an actual OC at first, but I eventually came back to it when I needed a character interpretation for the fear of the dark. The Shadow Thing is basically similar to the Boogieman in the sense that it desires to feed off of children’s fears until they’re left traumatized. Yay. Fun.

Aaand to top this whole thing off, here’s some fun facts about these three! (mainly Nicole and Leon)

Nicole is Jamaican American (she has a Jamaican father and American mother) and Leon is African-American (The ethnicity of his past parents are unknown).

The Shadow Thing has similar shape-shifting abilities as the twins, except it can only take the form of anything scary.

Nicole has braces! And she hates it. She’ll attack anyone who reminds her that she does both physically and mentally. Even Leon.

The reason behind Leon’s left eye being hidden is because there’s a nasty scar on it. The eye already has a bandage over it, but he still hides it because he’s embarrassed by it :(

Speaking of eyes: Leon and Nicole originally were supposed to have each other’s eye shape, but I switched them up last minute!

Leon adore’s the twins. Nicole hates them. (I say hate but we all know she likes them deep down <3)

Nicole’s a complete phone addict and kiiiindaaa spoiled. She was having the time of her life being a pampered only child before her parents adopted Leon. Now she gotta learn to be humble >:(

Yeah, that’s pretty much it. Now Alex has more OC buddies!

Yo, I redesigned my OC Gero! (Or Lil Bean)

I changed him into my version of a yellow bellied slider, and made him a tad older. He's around the age of 6. He's a mischievous and troublesome kid, but is still very sweet. When he's sorry about something, he's real sorry.

He's known to get injured quite a bit due to how hyper he can be and as such, the turtle sisters often are always patching him up and chiding him.

They call him Bean mainly when he misbehaved or he's in trouble oddly enough since they know he hates being called that. Though sometimes, they use it affectionately or just to tease or annoy him. <3

He was a regular turtle egg that Angela and Rafa found one day while hanging out, and Rafa decided to sneak it with them despite Angela saying to "let nature be."

So when they got home, Rafa secretly tried to take care of the egg, hoping for a new turtle to keep with them as a pet, but little did she know she would get that, but not like she expected.

She one day has her drink with her as she's watching the little egg, (in my version of events, the girls must drink some mutagen shake to keep themselves stable, so that's what's in her drink), when Angela suddenly bursts into her room, wanting to ask Rafa to help her and Donna with something. Unfortunately, Rafa spills her mutagen drink on the egg. She desperately tries to hide it away from her sister, but she soon finds out why. She exclaims she thought she left the egg alone, and Rafa tries to defend herself, before stopping in her tracks; the egg has clearly touched mutagen, a substance known to mutate any being into something it's last contacted.

Quickly, the two rush to Donna. Donna is confused why they have a turtle egg, and is soon filled in ob the events leading up to here. She expresses that Angela has a point of leaving things the way they are at times, especially with nature, but also tells them that now they may have a new baby in their family.

She does tests and an ultrasound on the egg and it shows the baby inside has already begun to mutate. She says that the mutation would likely happen over time slowly (much like that of a human pregnancy) and that the baby would now take longer to hatch due to the events. Angela is still disappointed in Rafa, but more than happy and willing to help out and care for the new addition. Donna says the egg must now be monitored very closely to make sure that nothing bad affects the baby inside since this is the first case (that they know of) where the mutant was mutated before birth.

Oh boy, I found some really old art. From my Mac Book days. I only chose a few of them that would result in some quite deep cuts.

The first image is of Carbuncle Cookie and Tune Cookie. I think I based Carbuncle Cookie off of the Ruby Beast Carbuncle card I had for a long time. It's gone now, fml. ;w;

This was based off a comic series of Cookie Run?? And she was named after a sheep from a slightly dark Sanrio movie?

...Thank god she was salvaged into Sugarsnap Cookie.

Man, I doubt most people remember that AU. Apparently it was a Demon AU for Cookie Run, but it starred mostly children characters. If it's still going on, you guys can let me know.

But yeah, he and his older design (Monk Cookie) were scrapped because we already have a Monk Cookie.

Apparently the one on the right is supposed to be a dragon? I dunno. I'm running out of things to talk about.

So apparently these two are Pearl Cookie (left) and Blue Raspberry Cookie (right).

I think I based Blue Raspberry Cookie off of Snap from Chalk Zone? I recall that being a bit of an influence in their design.

So, fun fact: I have two (three if you count Edge!Inanimate Insanity and Edge!BFB as separate AUs) on my Photos application on the Macbook side. All characters archived, and safe.

I bring this up because I think the original creator deleted their old art? So now nobody can find the old AUs. At least, on Tumblr that is. I might prove myself wrong later though.
