Ky's subclass oc where he was originally Freyas subclass but then Ky made an au where he's human and Tsurugi adopts him and he's a single father (not for long as we can see) and his name is Lee and I love him dearly (thank you Ky for creating the silly.)

Man subclass disk horse must be absolutely crazy like you’d have them having very serious talks about whether “Melancholy privilege” exists because of their ability to walk in the sun and live relatively normal lives unaided and whether it would be more sensitive to call it “Daywalker privilege” because singling out a group of subclass whose criteria for being made is “abandoned by society through no fault of their own, often suicide or abuse victims” reads as. Uh. Not great!

And then you’d also have like. wank that is not entirely unfounded about Lusts being a privileged class of vampire because of their safety under the Alicein and others going “dude what the fuck? Those are abused kids” and the actual topic about how there’s not enough infrastructure support for all of them gets lost in the resulting bajillion call out posts

You’d have subclass with shit like “melancholies DNI!” In their bio or “DNI if you ever lied about your prime to get access to the SNS” or some guy who had a bad experience with a Greed painting the whole group with a super wide brush and ho-lee SHIT can you imagine the discourse about Wraths and “being held accountable for your war crimes” or like the random subclass who’s really uncomfortable to be around because they’re so dead set on martyring themselves for actions they took as a human or worse. A kinda shitty person a human but got some perspective after dying having their old life uncovered and it being used as a mark against subclass as a whole. I’m crying just thinking about it it would be awfullll

The human desire to group together and also create an “acceptable target,” especially in online spaces cannot be understated nor ignored but subclass twt would take it to the next level because WOW that is fresh, that is a whole new community suddenly rocketing into the online space and dragging their intracommunity feuds with them; it would be a glorious explosion of genuine attempts to navigate the hardship of being undead warped into pseudo activism for the sake of bullying 10/10 I’m so glad subclass twt isn’t real and can’t hurt me

I know mahiru is often seen as not smart (his official stats from the guidebook give him a 2 out of 10 for tactics and I think the mental stat is more about mental stability?) and sure he's not a tactical genius like mikuni or touma (both have 10/10 in tactics) but mahiru is extremely socially/emotionally intelligent, which is an intelligence often overlooked in favour of "classic" intelligence (like being good at math or things like chess).

But unlike other characters mahiru knows when to stand his ground and when to lay low and change a person's view slowly over time.

Misono wasn't on his side in the beginning, even saying mahiru could be his servant when mahiru agreed to work with him, but mahiru quickly picked up on the fact that misono was lonely and offered to be his friend. Now misono trusts him completely and recognizes that mahiru's strength lies in gaining allies.

Shuhei openly hated vampires and treated them as things and mahiru responded by humanizing them, listing examples of vampires acting just like normal people, laying the first stone for shuhei to stop wanting to kill all vampires.

He was the one who proposed the idea that tsubaki would come to rescue lilac because tsubaki sees his subclass as family and he was right.

Neither lawless nor licht were overly impressed by him when they first met him, but by the time he asks them to rescue tsurugi especially lawless is one of his biggest supporters.

In C3 he understood that he wasn't going to be able to move if he opposed them and joined them instead, allowing him and the other eves to meet. He also correctly concluded that getting tsurugi on their side was key because he was central to C3's/touma's plans and in the end it saved his life and allowed him to stop touma.

Mahiru consistently trying to protect tsubaki's subclass might also come in handy soon. They might not like C3, but both lilac and sakuya can vouch for mahiru as a person they can trust not to kill them and to aid them in stopping tsubaki from destroying himself.

And stopping tsubaki by convincing him to stop is perfectly logical. A servamp can't be killed as far as we know. Combat only gets you so far. If C3 want to create a lasting co-existence between vampires and humans getting both sides to stop killing each other and to learn to forgive is the only way.

Trying to solve this conflict through conversation and not violence is neither shortsighted nor childish, it's the only reasonable solution.

Given that Servamp is almost over I doubt it'll happen, but I'd sort of like to learn more about subclasses. Like, apart from the Melancholies, Lily's and the few "major" character subclasses we barely saw how each Servamp treats theirs and how they feel about it. Kuro had the right idea ngl-

Like, imagine you die and get revived as greed subclass, and now you're stuck with cleaning up the mess of a chaotic overly emotional 18-year-old for the rest of your basically never ending life. The fact that they have costumes implies that they've been keeping up with the shit he does. Guil, okay, he's been his caretaker since they were humans and pretty much volunteered to watch over him, but what about the others. Were they just like "okay this is my life now I guess"

I feel like all of the Servamps and the adult Eves have a bet over it and the majority vote goes to Mahiru. They all go even further and try to guess how he would.

Also after the war and everyone's chill, theres no way tsubaki isn't going to tell everyone about that one part of the Waterpark Drama CD where Mahiru called Sakuya "Sakkun" and the poor boy nearly exploded over it.

The Mother of Wrath only takes soldiers who fell in the battlefield. Japan has been at peace for quite some time with no war touching its soil. And yet, the amount of Wrath subclasses does not stop increasing.

C3 is aware of the cops, of the yakuza, of teenagers who died in street wars because they were stupidly eager to prove how strong they were. The Mother of Wrath takes no account of their morality when she makes someone her kin. She doesn't care of who they were, she cares of what they can become.

C3 isn't aware of that part.

Another thing C3 isn't aware of is that there are wars happening all across Japan, wars where neither vampires or mages have any stakes in. C3 finds out recently that The Mother of Wrath takes journalists in too. Those who died trying to expose corruption, be it for justice or personal glory.

"Good morning, everybody!" A woman with scars all over her face greets cheerfully in front of the camera. Nobody can tell who she is, not from how she looks. But her voice is familiar to everyone who grew up in the early 2000s. "My name is Shio Ayumu, but you might know me better by my stage name Mizuhara Ayumu. 11 years ago I was murdered alongside the politician Ogawa Takafumi. It wasn't because I was involved in anything shady! I just happened to be convenient because of my rising popularity!"

"They were planning to frame it as a murder-suicide by a jealous mistress, unfortunately whoever was in charge of killing me got a liiiiittle too excited by how I looked." She gestures empathetically to the scars littering her face. "As you can see, this kind of marks screams 'victim'. A woman who got involved in a man's infidelity deserved to die alongside him, but a beautiful woman who died because of a psycho would just get the nation demand for justice."

"So they got rid of my body and said I went missing after committing the deed." She shrugs animatedly. "But I'm here now to clear my name and to grind Takaguchi Shido's name under my heels!"

She smiles, showing all her fangs and the red eyes that indicate she is a vampire.

"You won't get away with it this time, motherfucker."

Oh right another thing before I forget

Guide book confirms that neither subclass nor Servamps have any reproductive capability 😔 no Alicein dhampirs for me <-probably going to ignore that bit as it suits me anyway

At the same time, Strike says that vampires in and of themselves are more like illusions than living beings and their appearance and even bodily functions rely on both self perception and outward perception soooo (example: if you or they believe they have a heartbeat or should have a heartbeat, they will) TECHNICALLY, a vampire MIGHT be able to self suggestion themselves into having the necessary components to have a child. Although it would prooobably require a steady diet of blood to maintain any significant changes they want to make to themselves or their body…?

Apparently this is also why characters like Belkia and Higan can undergo such drastic physical changes, becoming a literal doll and a much younger version of himself, respectively. Also related to the weird ways their clothes work, like Lawless’s scarf appearing after he has a mental breakdown over Ophelia, and later the way it starts to mimic the wings on Licht’s backpack as they get closer, Ildio’s tattoo changing shape, Kuro’s coattails moving, Freya’s dress changing from one panel to another (I think), Sakuya’s suspenders, and the Wrath pair’s badass wardrobe change in general.

If a vampire wants to badly enough, they can change anything about themselves, if I’m understanding what was said correctly (does this mean Belkia’s hair isn’t actually dyed? I’m choosing to think it is and he instead uses a vampire’s ability for illusions and hypnotism to hide when the roots are coming in lol)

Presumably this would also mean that Higan and Hugh aren’t the only vampires who can adjust their physical ages to some degree. I’m still uncertain whether Lily’s baby appearance was something he did on purpose, a side effect of inner turmoil with his demon, or related to the contract in some fashion. The reason I’m not sure if it’s a contract thing despite him making it pretty clear he could understand everything around him perfectly when he struck out at Tsurugi that one time is because Strike also revealed the distance limit consequences for the other pairs, and Lust’s was stated to be turning into an infant, so?? Not to mention Lily is the only Servamp whose Item wasn’t broken specifically by Tsubaki. Shrugs??

Anyway, I wonder if they can only go to ages they’ve experienced…? Hugh is an odd case where his body never grew up but the personality in control of that body absolutely got old lol. Oh man, now that he can use Tetsu’s coffin to grow up… Does that mean there will come a point when he stays an adult a majority of the time to care for his aging Eve… My heart……

But yeah, uhhh basically what I’m asking is… If Sakuya wanted it badly enough, could he grow up alongside his friends…… Could he act out the life he never got to live originally and do so knowing it’s not a lie because the people that matter already know the truth.

Okay, but seriously what is up with jeje's body.

He might not have hands, instead he's picking things up with his gun:

He claims to always cover his face because the outside is too bright, but most of the manga takes place at night and when a servamp is hit by sunlight they turn into their animal form so why is he constantly wearing something to cover his face? If it's not just an excuse because it made mikuni act like a kid his age for once or he's secretly ashamed of his face.

And unlike servamps who do bleed there is no blood here either.

Just what did the count do to him? We know the count went through several experiments to perfect the creation of immortal beings. Kuro was spontanious and there weren't as many humans sacrificed as the count would have liked since the village was small. Kuro was unstable and couldn't control his powers at night. Hugh was created by transfering a dead man's soul into the body of a child. Jeje's body seems to have been replaced with an artificial one and for some reason all his eves become insane. Freya was based on a werewolf. Lawless, ildio and lily seem to have been created like kuro as far as we know, but they are more stable, maybe he sacrificed enough people this time. And then something about tsubaki enables his subclass to stay in the sunlight.

Did he replace most of the human body hoping it would make jeje a better immortal?
