Fancasts From Atop Visenya’s Hill
-> Nell Hudson as Dancy, a worker at Chataya’s
Tyrion had no doubt that Dancy would be a lively handful. She was pug-nosed and bouncy, with freckles and a mane of thick red hair that tumbled down past her waist.

Bechloe Week 2020 – Day3: Drunk Texts
We were bound to be together
An au where Beca didn't get together with Jesse and that allowed her relationship with Chloe to grow.
or
The way Pitch Perfect 1 should have gone ;)
Set during Beca’s first two years at Barden; everything goes as it should, nothing angsty happens and everyone is happy. Just a sloppy falling-in-love story between two college girls, told through their drunk texts, kind of...

She took my arm, I don’t know how it happened
 After Hood Night, Beca was lying on her bed; the weird buzzing in her brain caused by alcohol made it hard for her to fall asleep. She wasn’t used to drinking and partying with strangers until late night, but she had to admit it wasn’t the worst thing she’d done. That Jesse seemed nice after all, a little pushy maybe, but Beca knew she needed a push sometimes, maybe she should give him a chance-
Her phone buzzed on the nightstand
CHLOE BEALE: Im so glad that I met you xx
BECA: Yeah, you kinda mentioned that…
Beca bit her bottom lip and a bright smile formed on her face. There was something about Chloe, that didn’t make Beca want to push her away. On the contrary, it was rather a pull, that made Beca want to get closer to her.
She placed the phone on her stomach, letting out a heavy sigh, smile still present on her lips. Beca couldn’t believe she actually auditioned for an acapella singing group, just because a crazy – naked – girl told her to, after crushing her shower and forcing her to sing with her; it was a situation that normally would have made her run for the hills and yet, she went to the audition – and she got in – and to the following party. Beca didn’t even know how that happened, Chloe had dragged her into this whole new world, and she was kinda okay with that.
It confused Beca; for the first time her instinct didn’t tell her to push this person away, it told her to get to know her better, to become her friend, but most of all Beca wanted Chloe to like her, she wanted to impress her. She checked her phone to see if Chloe had texted her anything else, but there were no new messages, so she let out another sigh – a disappointed one this time – and put the phone away.
Maybe Chloe was still with shower guy, they seemed to be pretty close at the party. Her stomach twisted and Beca huffed again; the way Chloe had grabbed her arms and how close she got to her while talking, gave her some vibes, for a moment she’d thought that the redhead was flirting with her – a thought she wasn’t completely opposed to – but then she saw her with that guy while she was busy talking to Jesse, and kicked herself for being so delusional, she was well aware they were having sex in the sowers, they were obviously together.
Beca shook her head and rolled her eyes to herself, turning to her side to try to sleep.
  I felt it in my chest as she looked at me
  CHLOE: Admit you had fun tonight! :P
Beca was a bit more tipsy than usual – okay, let’s say she was drunk – but it wasn’t her fault; Amy arrived there with the clear internet of getting the brunette drunk that night. She dumbly smiled at her phone and almost gave in, but then she remembered their bet.
“I don’t know why I let you drag me to this stupid party” she spat out when they arrived at the ΣΒΘ frat house.
“Come on, I bet you’re going to have fun” cheered Chloe making Beca roll her eyes.
“I doubt it” stated the brunette.
“We’re here bitches!” screamed Amy going straight for the alcohol table, followed by Stacie.
When her head started to spin, Beca realized that maybe she’d let Amy fix her one drink too much, but she didn’t care, not when Chloe was leaning in so close to whisper things in her ear – shout actually, to be heard over the loud music – and had one arm wrapped around Beca’s shoulders; the weight of Chloe on her felt amazing and the way Chloe looked at her made her heart do funny things in her chest.
Beca definitely blamed it on the alcohol, but deep inside she knew it was the same feeling she had the first time they met at the activities fair; that smile Chloe gave her and those blue eyes, so deep that Beca felt like she was drowning in them, knocked all the air out of her lungs and she felt her heart racing.
Even if she did run away that time, Beca just couldn’t stop thinking about her, until that girl jumped in her shower, making Beca incredibly frustrated and embarrassed. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t help but looking – more than once – at the girl’s naked body and her mind wandered without her permission. Chloe was undeniably beautiful, and her confidence made her even hotter.
Beca should have known then that she was gone, but – always oblivious to her own feelings – it took her several weeks of parties and rehearsals to know that she had, in fact, fallen head over hills for the redhead.
Suddenly Beca felt Chloe stepping away from her and saw the girl launching herself into Tom’s arms. The brunette found herself downing the remains of her drink and accepting a new one from Amy. The rest of the night is still a blur, she vaguely remembered Jesse helping her through her dorm room door and saying good night, at which she believed she grunted before the guy closed the door behind him.
Beca frowned at the memory and looked back at her phone; there was a new message on the screen
CHLOE: you disappeared tho. Stacie said you left w Jesse :(
BEC: yoy wr wit Tom
CHLOE: I told you I was going to say hi and when I came back you were gone >.<
BEC: are u tofether?
CHLOE: No, I’m alone
BEC: no I mwan ar you datingm
BEC: ?
Chloe started typing and deleting and Beca started to freak out; she’d known this girl for less than a year, she saw her with Tom from day one, she had no right whatsoever to be upset about them dating, even if Chloe had been sending her mixed signals from the start and was annoyingly touchy and loving and not-so-unintentionally made Beca’s head spin more than alcohol did
CHLOE: No, he’s not my boyfriend. We used to be fwb but I ended it a while ago because I started to like someone… :)<3
  Just keep your eyes on me
 The following day Beca felt like shit; her head hurt, and she felt nauseous, that’s why she was immensely grateful to Chloe for dragging her to that stupid party the night before their special rehearsal’s session.
“Remind me to kill you when this is over” she lamented when Chloe greeted her with her usual bright smile – the girl clearly didn’t drink as much as Beca did the night before – and a quick hug
“Can’t wait” winked the redhead, making Beca’s blood boil in her veins.
Chloe really looked amazing that morning and was clearly making an effort to be noticed by the brunette; she managed to make even that idiotic hostess choreography look beautiful. It wasn’t just the dancing, Beca found every movement Chloe made incredibly sexy, maybe because of that half confession she had made the night before, or maybe because Beca knew Chloe was doing it on purpose; she knew it because Chloe basically never dropped her eye contact with Beca, almost like she was trying to cast a spell on her, and maybe she did.
“You’re on a mission today huh?” Beca hushed to her during a break
“I don’t know what you’re talking about” answered Chloe wearing a shit eating grin
“Well, better for me then, I’m enjoying the show” she shot back without thinking too much about it and regretting it right away, but the fire it lit in Chloe’s eyes told her she’d said just the right thing.
“What’s with all this eye fucking?” suddenly spat out Amy, making the room giggle. Except for Beca who became bright red, and Aubrey who cleared her throat glaring at Chloe, who innocently smiled biting her lip.
“Did you finally hook up or something?” asked Stacie in amusement
“Can we focus on the damn choreography?” asked Aubrey grinding her teeth.
  Deep in her eyes, I think I see the future
 Beca’s plan was simple: to go to college for one year, convince her dad that she tried and have him send her to Los Angeles the following year to finally start working towards her dream of producing music. However, something along the way went incredibly wrong, or rather incredibly right, and now all she wanted was to stay there with those nerds who somehow became her family.
The look on Chloe’s face when they won the finals made Beca realize that her future wasn’t in LA, her future was right there with those girls, with Chloe. In that moment Beca felt like she belonged there; she saw her next few years at Barden, with the Bellas, and in the hug they shared, Beca felt that Chloe would be part of her life forever.
The girls celebrated in the Bellas’ sorority house and they all, even Aubrey, got incredibly wasted. Most of the girls had already moved there from their dorms and wouldn’t have to go anywhere after their party.
During the night Chloe made sure to let Beca know, more than once, how sad she was that the brunette had decided to really leave for Los Angeles in the end, instead of moving in with her, and she never left her side the whole night. They drank together and laughed and danced, and they almost kissed, but Chloe pulled away last minute confusing Beca. When Beca asked her why, Chloe mumbled with watery eyes “you’re leaving, what’s the point?”, but immediately cleared her throat and dragged Beca to dance with the others. In her inebriated state, the music and Chloe’s body moving rhythmically against hers, were enough to distract Beca from that statement. Only later, walking back to her dorm, it carved its way back into her mind.
BEC ♡: I not gng to LA
CHLO: ???
BEC ♡: im stang heee
Chloe’s reply was a string of emojis Beca was too drunk to interpret followed by
CHLO: yoy styng w the bellassssss
BEC ♡: im staying fr you
CHLO: were gnna be cocaptnsss!!!
  This woman is my destiny
 Beca’s second year at Barden started out completely differently from her first one; she was living in a sorority house along with eight other girls and was co-captain of the acapella group she led to victory the year before.
Her relationship with Chloe evolved in a strange way; they acted like a married couple now, but they never crossed the line, both too scared of ruining what they had. With Aubrey gone, the Bellas were their responsibility and Beca knew that was what mattered the most to Chloe, so she chose to focus on their acapella group. For Chloe, not because she was scared of fucking things up, obviously.
Their mutual pinning was clear to all their friends; some of them – Amy – teased them  about it, while others desperately tried to help them figure it out.
One night, during one of their let’s-get-drunk-because-why-not nights, they were playing truth or dare
“Beca” started Stacie “truth or dare?” she asked with a wicked smile, making Beca sweat
“Truth…” tentatively answered the brunette
“Do you have more than platonic feelings for anyone in this room?” asked Stacie raising an eyebrow. Chloe held her breath at that and Beca was the only one to miss it, too occupied freaking out
“Dare” blurted out Beca “dare, I meant dare!” Beca’s heart started beating dangerously fast, hoping that Stacie would have let her change her reply, but the girl’s eyes twinkled and Beca knew she’d fallen right into her trap.
“I dare you… to kiss the girl you have the biggest toner in the world for and release us all from this ridiculous sexual tension you two generate” commanded the tall girl rolling her eyes.
Beca felt all the air leave her lungs. Everything was silent around her and all she could hear was the uneven beating of her heart. She swallowed hard looking at Chloe to see what her reaction had been and the girl’s hesitant smile calmed Beca a little.
Beca wasn’t one to back down from a challenge and the alcohol in her system only made her more competitive, but most of all, there was nothing in the world she wanted more than to finally kiss Chloe, so she crossed the circle they were sitting in to reach the redhead on the other side of it. Chloe was biting her bottom lip in anticipation and Beca could see in her eyes that the girl wanted to kiss her just as much as she did.
Beca gently rested her palm on Chloe’s cheek. They didn’t speak, but they didn’t need words to communicate; their eyes were saying all they needed to say. They expressed how much they both wanted to do this, but only if the other was okay with that, and that it was going to be okay. They completely forgot they weren’t alone.
Beca leaned in and kissed her, Chloe wrapped her arms around Beca’s neck and pulled her closer, letting out a sigh that made Beca’s heart flutter. They stayed there, kneeling in the middle of the living room, kissing slowly and deeply, their lips moved together as if they were dancing. Beca wasn’t sure who deepened the kiss, but as soon as their tongues touched, a million fireworks went off in her brain, covering the sound of their friends whooping and clapping and wolf whistling – Amy – and making her forget her own name.
Beca couldn’t have enough of Chloe’s lips. When the kiss ended and Chloe tried to move away, Beca desperately chased her mouth and started kissing her again, gaining a chuckle from the redhead. The two girls were only separated by Amy accidently bathing them in tequila while waving a bottle in the air, shouting that they had to drink to that.
After two – or was it three? – Bhloe drinks, as Amy had named them, Beca was still snuggled up next to Chloe. They shared some quick kisses during the rest of the night and when they decided to go wrap it up, Beca really wasn’t ready to sleep. All she wanted to do was kiss Chloe all night long and the morning after, and for the rest of her life. When Chloe pulled her in for another kiss, she was happy to welcome Chloe’s tongue in her mouth again
“Good night, baby” whispered Chloe against her lips before leaving.
Beca was lying awake in her bed; she could still feel the ghost of Chloe’s lips lingering on hers. She took her phone and started typing.
BEC ♡: I lied at trth o dre I dont have a tner for you
CHLO: Bec…
*CHLO IS TYPING*
BEC ♡: Im crazy abt yoy! youre my destiny
BEC ♡: you’re
CHLO: you jst gve me a heartattack yoi asshole1

CHLO:  I jut wanna slp

Lessons Learned
A/N: Hello lovelies!!! I hope everyone is doing ok even tho the world is really goin through it. This is probably one of the most self indulgent things I’ve ever written. Also natasha might seem a bit ooc since I’ve never written for her before. Hope you all enjoy my fic!! also plz excuse all grammer mistakes i tried to get rid of all of them T-T
Warnings: N/A (other than ✨gay✨)
Summary: As a teacher, you try to emulate as much Ms. Frizzle energy as possible. Ms. Natasha Romanoff, the principal, has taken notice.
Teacher!Reader X Principal!Natasha Romanoff (WLW)
Tumblr media
You walked into your classroom, the bags under your eyes feeling heavier than ever. To say your morning had been going bad was an understatement. A spilled coffee on your lesson plan, a broken pair of earrings, and a traffic jam made it feel like the world was against you. Trying to keep some type of composure before it was 7:30, you took a deep breath and got to planning out your lesson for the day and the activities that went with it. Your cherry earrings swayed on your ears as you went about your routine, organizing bookshelves and grading papers. It was then that you noticed you had a small present near your computer mouse, its red bow shining in the artificial light. Considering that your students knew your taste, you knew it was either some sort of school supply or a pair of earrings. You had amassed quite the reputation as the ‘teacher with the earrings’, a proud achievement as a woman loving woman but also as someone who wanted to exude as much Ms. Frizzle energy as possible. As you were about to open the present, you heard the bell ring, the sound of teenagers walking through the halls going with it. Since the present had no note, you decided to just wait for your lunch break to open it, some of your more punctual students knocking on your classroom door.
The day went on better after that, your students being on the calmer side and winning your daily roast battle with Mr. Wilson from across the hall. “Those papers should be in my inbox no later than 11:59,” you reminded the students as the lunch bell rang. Letting out a long sigh as you sat down for the first time in five hours, you went to grab your lunchbox when your eyes trailed to the gift on your desk. None of your students mentioned the present and no one from another period has visited your classroom. You thought it could be a student from another grade, but none of your pupils said they gave it to you. That’s when you realize it couldn’t have been a student because it was on your desk before school had started, and no students were allowed in the halls until the morning bell rang. The curiosity in you began to build before a small nugget of hope bubbled in your stomach. Your hands moved to grab the present before you heard a knock. The small window in your door showed a vague redhead, and a question formed. You got up from your desk, your expression surprised as you opened the door. “Good afternoon Ms. Romanoff,” you said, trying to mask your nerves with a smile, “how can I help you?” Ms. Romanoff greeted you with a small smile on her face. “I told you to call me Natasha, Ms. L/N,” she replied, almost embarrassed. You laughed nervously out of habit, your finger reaching for your earring to fiddle with it. It wasn’t that there was a problem with Ms. Natasha Romanoff, per se. The problem was that she’s the principal. The very attractive, cute, intelligent, and gay principal. Who also happened to make your heart race any time she was in the room. Which was very often considering you worked together. But that's besides the point.
With clammy hands, you held the door open for her, the scent of her perfume grazing your nose. “Did you need something Ms.Ro- Natasha,” you winced at the unease of your voice. Natasha leaned against one of the desks, her eyes moving from your posters to your whiteboard casually.
<><><> Natasha’s POV <><><>
Natasha didn’t need anything. She also definitely wasn’t the one who left the present on your desk, which judging by the bow that was still untouched, hasn’t been opened. Plus the note she wrote with the present wasn’t there so you wouldn’t even know it’s from her. This also makes her coming here even more strange since most of your communication is through email or weekly faculty meetings. She also hopes you take note of her lipstick, which you complimented last week. And for you to ignore the yearning she looks at you with. But yknow: what’s being gay without a bit of disaster. That won’t stop her from trying though.
Nat takes a mental deep breath, trying to keep her cheeks from blushing too much. Glancing at your computer, she manages an excuse. “Just wanted to make sure you got my email, for the guest speaker.” Your eyes widen in recognition before going on to explain the response you were planning to send, but Natasha is not paying attention. Not because you were boring, it was actually the opposite. Everything about you was too interesting. Your themed and often silly earrings, the matching outfits, your dedication, the energy you brought into a room, it was all so you; she couldn’t help but stare.
The strangest part was Natasha always had a plan. If she didn’t have a plan she had five backup plans, being a principal and trying to run one of the best middle schools in the district. You were the one thing that made her scatterbrained and lay all of her cards on the table. She guesses that’s why most call it ‘falling in love’ and not ‘a gentle float into love’, though she amends it’s more of an extremely strong like. She could feel her confident mask crack every time she was near you, her words stuttered and embarrassed, and even more so when you were alone.
 “...and I’ll need to make the copies of the permission slips, but after that everything will be ready.” Natasha blinks out of her reverie, trying to look like she was paying attention to what you were saying. She gives a nod in approval, her cheeks warming without her permission. “Sounds like everything is handled. You’re doing a great job Y/N.” Natasha smiled warmly, mentality throwing herself out of a window. All that was running through her head at this point was ‘leave leave leave leave’.
><><>< Your POV ><><><
You couldn’t have helped the smile on your face even if you wanted to. Getting a compliment from your boss felt good but getting a compliment from Natasha felt great. That still didn’t kill your curiosity though. Normally she’d just ask you these things through email or even before school started. The strange behavior and hope swirling in your head pushed the words out of your mouth before you could stop them. “Were you the one who left me a present before school?” You immediately regretted asking as Natasha’s face morphed into one of embarrassment, her face as red as your cherry earrings. “You know what never mind I’m just being silly, I’m-” Natasha interrupted you, her voice wavering. “No no you’re fine I was the idiot who forgot the note and I didn’t want to make it weird or anything.” You went to speak but Natasha took a deep breath and continued. “And then I came here to see if you liked them but then I saw the note wasn’t attached and realized it must’ve fallen off, and then you just…” Emboldened by Natasha’s rambling, you gently grabbed her hands, her chest moving up and down with deep breaths. “Nat you’re fine,” you said reassuringly, your thumbs brushing against her knuckles, “I haven’t opened it yet but I’d probably love anything you’d give me.”
Natasha looked shocked for a bit before she cleared her throat, her breaths starting to even out as she squeezed your hands. “I just don’t want to fuck this up,” she said, a small matching smile on each of your faces. You let out a small laugh as you nodded, “I think we’re doing pretty well.” Your eyes looked into hers, all happiness and mirth. Nat let go of one of your hands, but only to reach over to your desk and grab the present. She looks at you, her confidence filling her features. “All that being said, I still want to see your reaction.” You give her a small nod, your hands gently unwrapping the bow and gently lifting the lid. The heart earrings shine in the artificial light of the classroom, the silver edges adding an air of elegance. Your eyes widen and immediately give Natasha a hug, your arms wrapping around her neck as her arms settle at your waist. Natasha fills the silence by explaining, “I saw you looking at them during last week’s meeting, and I know you’d wear them more often than I do.”
You hold Natasha in the hug for a moment longer, hoping you can somehow express your gratitude and happiness into action because you are at a loss for words. Separating from the hug, you move your hands onto Natasha’s cheeks. Emerald eyes lock onto yours, warm filling your hands as her cheeks continue to flush. “I- I don’t even know how to express how much I love this Nat. How are you so good at this?” Natasha laughs in incredulity, shaking her head as she leans in to touch your forehead with yours. “Are you joking? I was a mess just walking in. And you have no right to look this cute in my stuff.” You giggle at her compliment as your eyes lock again, light emerald green eyes staring into yours. Her eyes jump from your eyes to your lips before jumping back, asking for permission. Letting the spur of the moment drive you, you both lean in. Your breath stalls in your throat as your lips nearly touch, the red of Natasha’s lipstick looking very enticing... but like all things in this world, nothing can be perfect. The bell rings loudly in the empty halls and classroom, the sound of students filing the hallways as you and Natasha jerk away, her arms still around your waist. Natasha coughs lightly, her blush now reaching her ears. You’re the first to break the silence, the silhouettes of your students already outside your door. “We should probably get back to work.” Natasha nods and takes her arms off your waist, her hands flicking off imaginary dirt. You playfully school your expression into a serious one, your hand going out to shake hers. “I’ll send that email to you later today Ms.Romanoff,” you say with a wink. Natasha snorts a laugh before a smirk takes its place on her face. With all the confidence and snark only Natasha can pull off, she replies, “I’ll be waiting, Ms. L/N.”
You start to make your way towards your desk before Natasha tugs you towards her and lands a solid kiss on your cheek. In shock, you start to stutter a scold towards Natasha, but she’s already got her hand on the door. She throws a wink over her shoulder before she starts greeting the students at your door as they start trickling in. You realize two things at the same time: 1. Natasha Romanoff might kill you from embarrassment and 2. You really like the way Natasha said your last name.
And if the students noticed a red kiss stain on your cheek, they didn’t mention it.

FULL NAME: Tapeesa ‘Timber’ Wilde
APPEARANCE: 6’2, and by virtue of her height is the second tallest Xiaolin Dragon (second only to Clay, and even then it’s pretty close).
Floofy blonde hair. It is usually worn long but it is currently cut short with parts of it dyed forget-me-not blue. Tan skin. Brown almond-shaped eyes. Often wears a black toque/beanie, and has a taste for punk, grungy, and “woodsy” type fashions like leather jackets, plaid, distressed denim, etc.
Current outfit is as follows: Long sleeve black shirt with Canadian maple leaf design. Plaid overshirt. Ripped jeans, black socks and black boots. Fingerless black gloves. Single piercing on her nose, multiple piercings in her ears, and a forest green jacket with brown fur lining on the hood. Jacket is designed to make the wearer look like a wolf. This is Timber’s trademark jacket and her most recognizable article of clothing.
GENDER/SEXUALITY: Female. Pansexual. Polyamorous and proud.
PRONOUNS: She/Her/Hers
ETHNICITY: Mixed race - her mother is an Inuk woman from Labrador, and her father was an Irish-Canadian man from Newfoundland.
BIRTHPLACE/BIRTHDATE: Born and raised in the province of Newfoundland, Canada on November 2nd, 2003. Scorpio. 16 going on 17.
GUILTY PLEASURES: Cigarettes. Food. Weed. Food. Sneaking into places she shouldn’t. Food. Saucy reading materials. Food. Pretty girls. Food. Feisty boys. Food. Abusing her powers to be lazy, get what she wants and take shortcuts. Food. Loud music. Food. Singing. Food. Sneaking out at night. Food. Petty vandalism. Food. Street hockey. Food. Regular hockey. Food. Skateboarding. Food. Tagging property with her own unique brand of art. Food. Cute dogs. Food. Taking lots and lots of selfies and candid photos, as photography is her biggest passion and addiction ALSO FOOD DID I MENTION FOOD YET BECAUSE THAT’S A BIG ONE SHE IS ALWAYS HUNGRY
QUIRKS: Constantly takes photos. Constantly gets distracted. Constantly wanders off. Bites her lip when she is anxious or about to lie. Takes great pride in her hair and prior to her forced haircut took good care of it and grew it out long, thick and messy. Her wild hair is a trademark of hers and she doesn’t like people touching it or doing anything to it.
Is well known for having a nervous tic in the form of shaking hands. She claims it’s due to bad medication - and may even in fact believe her own lie - but in reality, it’s completely psychological in nature, due to her undiagnosed PTSD and trauma from a formative life event when she was 8 years old. It is always present, worsens under stress, and at times affects her motor skills so intensely that she cannot tie her shoes or pick up a spoon. It is a great insecurity of hers and she does her best to hide it.
TRIGGERS: Mentions of her family, being called “crazy” and being near the ocean or on water.
FUN FACTS:
When visiting a new place, Timber will build or draw an inukshuk and take a photo of it to commemorate the occasion. She has been doing this since she was small, and she continues this ritual in honor of the loved one who taught her how to do this.
Her real name Tapeesa means “arctic flower” in the Inuktituk language, but most people know her as Timber. Earned the nickname ‘Timber’ from her father when she made a tree fall as a young girl due to her Wood elemental powers revealing themselves. Answers only to the name ‘Timber’ in his memory.
Really loves blueberries. She likes all food and eats like a starving animal but she gravitates to blueberries and blueberry flavored things. Her trademark favorite food though is blueberry pancakes with blueberry jam, as per her father’s recipe.
COLORS: Blue and Green
ANIMAL SYMBOLISM: Moths 🦋
PHOBIAS: Several, actually.
Going home.
Losing the one “friend” she has.
Being alone for the rest of her life.
Being an outcast for the rest of her life.
Not being able to fulfill her deal to Sun and complete the one mission that has kept her going for YEARS.
Being open and honest and vulnerable with other people.
Trusting other people.
Other people.
But the one thing she fears more than anything else is the ocean. Deep water in general makes her very uncomfortable and she slowly loses it when in close proximity to beaches, docks, and boats. She. HATES. Being on water.
And she has every reason to hate it.
WHAT SHE WOULD BE FAMOUS FOR: Timber Wilde is the first Dragon of Wood in centuries, a “Wilde” card that even Wuya herself was not aware of before she made herself known. And due to the complicated history of the Xiaolin Dragons and the Dragons of Wood, that alone is more than enough to have everyone from the Xiaolin to the Heylin hunting her down. Inexperienced in actual combat, but with enough raw power and natural talent that exceeds even Raimundo and Omi’s Shoku-level abilities, Timber Wilde is cunning, powerful, creative, and above all, unpredictable.
Timber Wilde is also currently the owner of the Crown of the Monkey King, the most dangerous Shen Gong Wu in existence. What’s more, she is also the faithful and long-suffering servant, student and sometimes host of the evil that resides in it.
Along with her traveling companions, Jack Spicer, the reluctant Dragon of Metal, and Jermaine Thompson, the kung-fu prodigy that was trained by Chase Young himself, Timber Wilde currently travels the world in an ongoing journey, keeping her secrets close, her “enemies” closer, and searching for a way to free her master in exchange for her one and only chance to rectify the greatest failure of her life.
She will do whatever it takes to reach this goal. Even if she has to burn down the whole world to do it. After all...a deal’s a deal, right?
WHAT THEY WOULD GET ARRESTED FOR:
Theft. Arson. Disturbing the peace. Possession and underage usage of tobacco products and marijuana. General teenage mayhem. Destruction of property. Aggravated assault. Vandalism and trespassing.
...Treason.
WHO DO YOU SHIP THEM WITH: Timber is polyamorous and has a lot of romantic potential with a few different characters. I feel like she’d be happiest in a polyamorous triad with Jack Spicer as one of her lifelong partners due to how well they connect and compliment each other, but jury’s still out on who would best complete their OT3.
She’s 100 percent into nerds tho. Nerds and angry types and red hair and blue eyes. All she wants is to be topped by someone smarter than her. She just needs a feisty bookworm who can put her in her place and teach her things.
CHARACTER MOST LIKELY TO KILL THEM: Everyone is out to get Timber but sadly her worst enemy is in her own head. Literally. He’s in her HEAD.
FAVORITE BOOK/MOVIE GENRE: Historical/documtary type stuff because she’s hungry for knowledge of the world outside her small seaside town, but she also has a secret soft spot for shojo mangas and saucy romance books.
LEAST FAVORITE MOVIE/BOOK CLICHE: Sad endings, or stories where the dog dies.
TALENTS/POWERS: As the Dragon Of Wood, Timber Wilde has power over every form of plant life, and once again she’s nearly above Shoku level with her abilities. In addition to manipulating and accelerating plant growth, she can also....
Gift plants with sentience and speech,
Use pollen and scents to confuse, manipulate, charm or take out foes,
Create bioluminescent plants and fungi
Create armor for herself from plants
Use plants for camouflage, disguise, defense or offense
Create her own food source
And much more.
But the most important skill as Dragon of Wood she has is, above all, her healing abilities.
With the power to use the medicinal properties in her plants to heal almost any wound or illness, Timber Wilde’s healing powers make her invaluable in battle.
She also has learned one more technique from Sun, one that allows her to “borrow” another person’s power for her own.
But we can discuss that later.
WHY SOMEONE MIGHT LOVE THEM: Despite her many flaws, Timber Wilde isn’t that bad of a person. Deep down underneath her tough, nihilistic, cold exterior, she’s just a sweet, silly, mischief making teenager who just needs and wants a friend. She is a dreamer. She is an artist. Though she has long since lost faith in people she still has an eye for beauty and finds it everywhere in the world around her. She thirsts for adventure and wants to live life to the fullest and experience everything the unknown has to offer.
At her best, Timber Wilde is a lively, incredible, inspiring soul who is passionately devoted to everything and everyone she loves. She will go to the ends of the earth for anything and anyone she cares about, even if it costs her her own life.
WHY SOMEONE MIGHT HATE THEM: Timber Wilde is a deeply complicated person who has a lot of inner pain and fears. And like a certain other redhead, these feelings cause her to lash out at the world around her in less than ideal ways.
Timber lies. Timber keeps secrets. Timber can get very defensive when you poke past the casual front she tries to keep up and start asking her real questions. She has a loose sense of morals, and a survivalist mindset. She doesn’t reach out to other people. She doesn’t trust other people. In fact, the only person she puts her faith in is an evil entity trapped within the Shen Gong Wu she wears on her head. And because of his influence, her view of reality is severely warped.
She genuinely believes she has no real place in this world amongst other people. She genuinely believes everyone is out to get her and that everyone disappoints each other eventually and to make yourself vulnerable or to have faith in others is to invite hurt and heartbreak. And despite the fact that she holds her own needs and desires above everyone else’s, she thinks very, very lowly of herself.
She cannot forgive herself for past mistakes. She cannot let go of what’s already gone. She blames herself for the fate of her family and the untimely demise of the most important person in her life and this has taken a severe emotional and mental toll on her. And due to this loss, she has ONE goal in life that she chases after with all her heart and soul, and the way she tunnel visions in on her mission often means she leaves others to the wayside, though not always without guilt or regret.
Timber is....complicated. Like a wildfire, she burns and burns and burns, and each and every day she burns a little more out of control than before.
But fires don’t burn because they want to hurt people. Fires burn because they don’t know how else to keep from going out.
Timber Wilde knows her actions have consequences. But seeing no better options, she forces herself not to care. She lies to everyone, including herself.
HOW THEY CHANGE: Spoilers.
But I think a certain someone, or two certain someones, can help her change.
Power of friendship, baby.
Why You Love Them: Because she fulfills several of my wishes for what I wanted to see in Xiaolin Showdown.
A) She’s a female character
B) She’s a female XIAOLIN character
C) She is or will be a true blue ally and supportive friend to Jack Spicer, a boy who desperately needs friends
D) She’s a Dragon Of Wood and
E) She is a girl with grit who gets swept up into a magical life changing adventure

Five times kissed - misguidcdghosts for Audrey. Even tho we haven’t actually done anything with them yet 😂😂 but we’ve discussed and rlly it’s everything SO
five times kissed // accepting // @misguidcdghosts (for audrey)
one: scream!au
“oh my gosh, it’s you.”
at first, audrey wanted to sigh. having people from in and out of town come in here and exclaim something like ‘it’s you!’ when they saw her behind the counter had gotten really old, really fast. in fact, it was tiring her out and pissing her off. she was sick of getting treated like a damn zoo exhibit just because she survived two murder sprees.
she really wanted to put piper and kieran (they’re both dead, those movies are over, roll the credits and leave the freakin’ theatre!) behind her and she couldn’t do that when—
“you’re the one didi writes poetry about.”
—wait, what?
the tiny indian girl - audrey estimated her age to be around fourteen - had a toothy smile that could rival the sun and big, brown eyes. the red haired girl next to her, all blue eyes, freckles and scrapes on her arms, rolled her eyes: “sorry about madhavi. ever since her older sister broke up with her boyfriend and it didn’t work out with a family friend, she’s obsessed with playing match-maker.”
it was a slow day and so far, those two had been one of the few costumers of the day so audrey could indulge them. for once.
“don’t worry,” madhavi beamed at her, “she likes your butt and your fancy hair. i’ve read it in her diary!”
that was, apparently, the redhead’s cue to tightly grasp her friend’s hand in hers and swipe the tickets off the counter with her other hand: “oookaaaay, that’s about it! we’re just here to see descendants two, madhu, not to start a dating service! c’mon, let’s go!”
“but georgette!” madhu whined while her friend dragged her away from the counter. “georgie!”
audrey chuckled to herself when she heard the redhead - georgie - huff: “lilo and stitch, really?” and called after them, just in case they didn’t know or forgot: “it’s the first door on your left!”
georgette was the one who called back while madhu sulked: “thank you!”
one hour later, the door chimed again. audrey briefly looked up from refilling the popcorn machine before continuing with the task at hand while her blue eyes occasionally flitted from the popcorn machine and the huge bag in her hand to the girl.
the girl that walked in was, without a doubt, madhu’s older sister. she had the same brown eyes, warm like her favorite quilt, except audrey had seen a penchant for mischief in madhu’s eyes earlier and there was none of that to be found in the eyes of the kid’s sister.
audrey’s heart lurched painfully as she thought of rachel and gina. one dead, the other out of her life completely.
(while she understood where gina’s fear and the way she reacted to that fear came from, she’d been tired of constantly having to justify why she spent time with emma and brooke. so they had broken up a few months ago, which was…something gina hadn’t expected.)
what if the same thing happened to other girls she would ever date? what if things wouldn’t work out?what if they, too, would die because of her? fuck, those thoughts made her sick to her stomach.
the girl had moved to sit down on the nearest chair, effectively snapping audrey out of her thoughts. the girl had been looking at her, concern written all over her face. audrey stopped filling up the popcorn machine and promptly hauled the huge bag back towards the storage room.
“you’re early, the movie’s done in about fifteen minutes.”
it’s not at all what audrey wanted to say when she came back to the counter but she couldn’t stand the silence. the girl didn’t seem to have that problem, up until audrey spoke, she’d been softly singing along to dua lipa’s thinking about you.
brown eyes met blue and the girl blushed but flashed audrey a warm smile nevertheless.
“well yeah,” said the girl, “that’s true but i’d rather be too early than too late anyway.”
the last time she flirted with someone during work was the time haley stayed behind when she worked the graveyard shift and then haley decided to pull a prank on her and because of that haley’s idiot of an accomplice got stabbed, audrey knew, but was it too late to quip about how she also knew that the slender fingers that were currently tapping along to the beat of a new song also wrote poetry?
“i’ve got a thing for you.”
audrey’s head snapped back towards her so fast it was a miracle she didn’t get a whiplash.
a million things ran through audrey’s head ranging from a flirty that’s forward of you to a surprised wow and okay and somehow none of these things made it past the lump in her throat.
“in, uh, the literal sense of the word,” added the girl quietly as she got up and walked towards the counter. oh. with a strangely deflated feeling in her chest, audrey briefly glanced away while the girl rummaged through the pockets of her jacket and fished out a small envelope.
she slid it over the counter. their hands briefly touched. audrey took the small envelope, which brought a grin back to her face. “that’s adorable.” she tucked the envelope into the pocket of her jeans and tried to ignore how much her heart hammered in her chest from just that simple touch.
“i try,” chuckled the girl as audrey willed herself to look into her eyes instead of at her lips. “i hope you’ll like it.”
audrey was going to say something else but the door chimed once more and other costumers came in while the door on the far left opened and a lot of parents, older siblings and kids made their way towards the door.
“is your name didi, by any chance?” audrey asked quickly because ever since she met her kid sister, the question’s been eating at her.
“no,” the girl grinned now, all teeth and gentle eyes filled with mirth. “it’s mohini, but mo is the nickname most people know me by. didi means older sister in hindi.”
and that was as far as their conversation went: audrey had to help the other costumers and mo saw georgie and madhu in the crowd and quickly waved them over, asking them if they had fun. georgie nodded: “evie was so pretty!” madhu was quick to agree, “so was uma!”
mo glanced at a very busy audrey for the last time and then steered the two girls towards the door.
later, when audrey came home, half exhausted but also exhilarated, she changed out of her work clothes and into something more comfortable. the tiny envelope had fallen to the floor and audrey picked it up. her mouth was dry when she opened it and her fingers shook.
she walks, draped in moonlight, with the kind of grace i could never possess.eyes as blue as the sea and skies combined, i must confess, keep me up at night.her smile shines just as bright as the sun. yet her name, i know it not.
there’s a lot of things that i don’t know about you and there are plenty that i want to ask, should we ever meet again, but until that moment, i’ve written a list for you about the things you may want to know about me:
1) as stated before, i’m mohini banerjee. most, if not all, people call me mo.2) i really do want to get to know you better.3) i think that you’re the most beautiful person i’ve ever seen.4) this is my number, call me if you’re interested. or if you need a friend and just want to hang out. i swear, i won’t send you any cat memes either way.5) i’m in a band and i’m the bassist.6) i can’t draw smileys. i can’t draw at all, actually.7) i’m sorry, i got distracted by the mere thought of you and the way you make sarcasm seem like art; this poem started off strong but ended up all over the place :P
before she fell asleep, audrey saw that the poem was signed and sealed with a kiss.
come morning, however, audrey would wake up to a text from an unknown number: how cute, says the first one, maybe i should cut off her fingers one by one, says the second text, so she’ll never write for you again.
two: harry potter!au
mo’s breath caught her throat the moment slughorn revealed the batch of amortentia to the class. shit, shit, shit shit. she’s always been more susceptible to potions that can alter one’s emotional state.
what a ravenclaw she was. had mo not gotten lost in a daze of mangoes, fresh books and leather jackets, she would have laughed at herself.
she knew how amortentia worked, after all. she knew how the potion managed to get such a visceral reaction from everyone. her parents worked as potioneers when they still lived in india. she’s been around them from day one. then they relocated to the uk and mr. and mrs. banerjee started a grocery store for wizards and witches and wixens.
“mohini,” audrey’s voice cut through the daze like a sharp knife and it was only then that mo became aware of the slytherin’s hand on her shoulder. “c’mon, the lesson ended ten minutes ago.”
her eyes cut from audrey’s concerned face, back to the cauldron. “you’re super pretty,” breathed the oldest banerjee, “even when you’re worried.” rationally, mo supposed that she could understand why audrey had been worried but really, the potion smelled so nice…
“no, no, no,” audrey grabbed her by the hand now, “no more potion sniffing for you. let’s go.”
the pull of the potion lessened the more steps they took away from the dungeons. after a while, mo let go of audrey’s hand, who asked if she was all right for the final time and when mo nodded, audrey bid her adieu and went over to one brooke maddox - gryffindor extraordinaire - who had been waving at her short haired friend.
mo herself retreated back to the common room. or at least she wanted to but then imagined that she could run into rajiv kumar and noah foster (who had been an infamous hatstall between hufflepuff and ravenclaw) and promptly turned around, heading for the owlery.
she didn’t see audrey until dinner that evening. which was a good thing; it had given mo plenty of time to freak out, calm herself down and freak out once again when she told the story to her bandmates. it was olivia, emma duval’s niece, who gently told her that she ought to thank her.
if it hadn’t been for audrey, who knows what would have happened, right?
so here she was, walking towards the slytherin table which was dotted with red, yellow and blue as well; the rules about sitting at your own table? bullshit. according to them, anyway.
“um, audrey?” man, mo hated how pathetic she sounded. even to her own ears!
audrey was in the middle of telling or re-telling a story to noah but turned around at the sound of her voice: “what’s up?”
“i wanted to thank you. y’know, for back there,” mo inclined her head towards the dungeons.
noah arched an eyebrow as mo continued: “i mean, if i stood there for a moment longer, well…” she heard what mo had blurted out, hadn’t she? “…i just wanted to say thanks.” and before she lost her nerve, mo stepped closer, around the table, and kissed audrey on the cheek.
three: the tomorrow people au
“audrey, we just had a new breakout,” cara told the girl who was currently lounging on one of the many couches in the lair, an old and abandoned subway station under the streets of manhattan. “i need you to get to her before ultra does.”
why can’t brooke— audrey started to think but cara cut her off: “brooke is training with stella yamada and emma just found out that one of the newer breakouts is related to her. noah, jake and stavo are training scott, wendell and charlie respectively.” audrey scoffed and got up. honestly, fuck telepathy. and fuck this entire gig, she didn’t sign up for supernatural babysitting duties!
grabbing her jacket from where she’d thrown it over a chair, she called back over her shoulder: “where do i need to be?”
“hudson cliff. it’s an elementary school for sick kids and kids with learning disabilities.” what the hell? the last time they had such a young recruit, john rescued her from the citadel.
“oh, and audrey?”
“what?!”
“hurry.”
with a soft pop, audrey turned on her heels and then she was gone. she appeared in the old, abandoned subway station and rushed to the surface. top-side, they all called it. with cara literally in her head and the fact that she knew the route by heart, audrey got to the elementary school in what could be considered record time.
she’s inside, cara’s voice echoed, be careful, ultra’s already on her tail too. try to get to her before they do but if it gets too hot, i want you out of there, understood?
yeah, like that was going to happen. audrey scoffed again. quieter, this time. she was here now. might as well stick it out to the bitter end.
a loud scream shattered audrey’s telepathic reply to cara into a thousand tiny pieces and the ultra agents sent to subdue the new breakout came flying out of the nearest classroom, their guns skidding across the hallway as they smacked into the wall and slid down to the floor where they laid, in a crumpled heap, unmoving.
another scream. the hairs on the back of audrey’s neck stood on edge. she was ready to fight or flee if necessary. audrey stepped over the threshhold and that was as far as she got.
“no! stay back! stay back!”
in the middle of the classroom sat a girl about her own age, tears and blood splatters all over her, cradling another girl into her arms. a kid, audrey realized while her stomach churned and she almost gagged. fuck, she was going to be sick.
how she got the words out, she didn’t know: “i’m…my name is audrey jensen. i’m—i’m like you. and you’re not safe here. shit, i know it’s the last thing you want to do right now but i need you to come with me now. more men like the ones that are now lying in the hallway are coming for you and they won’t stop until they have you. they work for an organization called ultra and i’m so fucking sorry for your loss and i hate to do this but we need to go.”
“let them come,” snarled the girl. her eyes met audrey’s and for a brief moment, their minds connected and audrey was awash in a whirlwind of emotions, primarily consisting of years of anger and a whole lot of grief and sadness and pain. pain, pain, pain that was hers and wasn’t hers at all. “let them,” the girl repeated again, “i’ll kill them, it’s what they deserve. it’s what they all deserve for killing my younger sister!” hindi swears spilled over her lips like a waterfall.
tears ran down her cheeks and she looked like she was struggling containing another scream.
a memory that wasn’t hers flitted before audrey’s eyes; the little girl took her hands and pulled her towards central park, crowing that she finally managed to make it across on the monkey bars and that she wanted to show her: “c’mon, mohini! i practiced real hard!” it was like a butterfly or a snowflake; one moment it was there and then it was gone but it was enough to have tears spring to audrey’s eyes. she blinked them away and cleared her throat.
cara, audrey’s eyes flashed from the crying girl on the floor to the remnants of what was once a well kempt classroom. i’m here. the new breakout killed two ultra agents after they killed her younger sister.
audrey heard cara curse in her head. she heard it so clearly that the brunette might as well have been standing right next to her: do you think you can make it back with her on your own? russell needs my help with something else. if not, i can send stephen to meet you halfway.
no, audrey thought, it’s okay, i got this. but do tell stephen that he needs to pick up the…the kid. fuck, they killed a kid, cara! they killed a fucking kid! she’s, what, seven?! they got to a kid!
cara told her that she was sorry and that they’d talk about it when the two would get back to the lair but as of right now, the fact remained that audrey had twenty minutes left. the clock was still ticking and ultra was still hot on their heels. she swallowed audibly and knelt down. gently, she placed a hand on her shoulder. the girl, whose name audrey now knew, flinched visibly.
“it’s mohini, right?” audrey’s voice was low, hopefully soothing and almost a whisper.
“most people call me mo,” she croaked back, “but yeah, it’s mohini.” she sniffed. her eyes met audrey as she said: “we can’t leave her here. she needs to be cremated. and my parents—”
oh gods, her parents. what would her parents say?! what would her family do if they found out about this?!
long black hair shielded mo’s face like a curtain as her body shook with barely contained sobs.
after giving her a hug, audrey brushed mo’s hair back and gave her a kiss on the forehead. she didn’t know what else to do or to say. it was something that her mother used to do, before she got sick.
“we can’t leave her here,” mo repeated, quieter, as if all the life had been drained from her too.
“we won’t,” audrey assured her and gently helped her stand up. mohini carried her sister to the bed in the corner and tucked her in. it looked like the little girl - madhavi, or madhu as those close to her called her -  was merely sleeping instead of dead. “i know someone who will make sure your sister gets back to your parents in time for the…the cremation, i swear.” mo nodded. “c’mon,” audrey said and swung an arm around mo’s shoulders. “let’s get you outta here.”
four: teen wolf au
while the jensen family wasn’t as esteemed as the calavera family or the argents, they were still good hunters - mrs. jensen had been from a prominent hunting family too - in their own right. though her mother put the hunting life behind her when she got pregnant and then again when she got sick, her father continued on for a while; he even taught his daughter the basics.
just so she could protect herself while he retired. audrey took to it like a fish to water. after rachel died, she swore to herself that she would do everything in her power to avenge her and to protect her group of friends consisting of a banshee (brooke), a werewolf (jake), a human much like herself (noah), another huntress (emma) and someone with a penchant for drawing horror scenes who was something else but didn’t exactly know what (stavo).
and things were all right until they weren’t because this is beacon hills and, inevitably, shit goes down here. this town had weathered many storms, this town would continue to do so. but all of that would wait, for beacon hills would have to deal with a supernatural band first.
stella yamada was a kitsune. brooke got the information out of her easily with a smile and a wink, an offer to stella that sounded like sure, i’ll totally help you familiarize yourself with beacon hills; i’d love to hang out with you! which was not only a way to help out audrey but also because the blonde truly wanted to hang out with her.
her father was one too, stella had said, munching on curly fries. after the death of his previous partner, he spent a long time mourning her before he eventually found love with leila penn and gained not only a second chance at love but a bigger family; leila, who was as human as they came, had split up with her ex-husband and won custody over her two youngest boys, tim and tom, while their oldest girl - clea - occasionally dropped by to visit.
olivia white was a huntress that wasn’t cut out for that life at all. soft and pliant and sweet, she spent her time reading and researching and had taken to helping out doctor deaton’s and the cats and dogs - but mostly just cats in her spare time. she was also related to emma who learned how to handle a gun because it became a matter of life and death back in lakewood.
then there was scott pickett who was, much like noah, as human as they came. but he was quick as a whip and quite knowledgable when it came to lore and surprisingly easy going. he and wendell “wen” gifford, a leprechaun, were nine times out of ten, the brains behind plans.
charles “charlie” delgado easily befriended stavo. other than their heritage and a love for comic books, they had other things in common. charlie was sure he was something other than human but he wouldn’t be able to tell you just what he is if you asked him.
lastly, there was mohini “mo” banerjee. named for one of vishnu’s avatars and skilled with a bass guitar, noah thought she was a garuda at first. an avian shapeshifter. he wasn’t wrong. while mo wasn’t an avian shapeshifter, she was a shapeshifter in every other sense of the word. you see, mo was an apsara - a shapeshifter with an extra pair of arms that could look like any other person out there, though their voice, abilities and gait remained the same.
“the apsaras of old could probably fly and control the air with less difficulty. i can’t do either. my mom can fly, though, and i’m pretty sure that my younger sister’s going to surpass me one day.” her father, a gandharva - which was like the male equivalent of an apsara - had no flying abilities to speak of either, mo added after a while, but he was musically inclined.
“what can you do?” asked audrey while mo continued to gently move the huntress’ fingers about, lacing their fingers together. mo shrugged: “i can sense changes in the weather and i’m pretty good with instruments.” audrey didn’t understand why her hands enthralled mohini so; they had been stained with death and had seen cruelty and violence too many fucking times.
mo pressed a kiss on both hands before she let go of them. “just call me your personal weather woman.”
audrey laughed, thoughts of weaponry and the next threat to becon hills were forgotten for a while.
five: no killer!au
olivia had been right, mo thought, the carnival really was the perfect way to spend their off season. this way, she could get to know her aunt and niece a little better and stella had been begging - well, not really, but olivia knew how much the lead guitarist wanted this gig - to play at lakewood’s annual carnival with their original numbers and covers.
and really, the other band members only had to look at their faces to give in, laughter on their own lips and fondness in their eyes. mo was one of the first ones to say okay to it all, the others soon following suit.
besides: winning an actual version of the battle of the bands, small though it was? against mikayla skeech and her own band? that would look great for their repertoire. (and mo was living for every moment that proved just how much talent lemonade mouth really had!)
that thought, as well as wen’s promise that he’d get her some cotton candy after their performance, kept mohini’s spirits higher than her height of 5′6″.
they had time to spare - more like time to kill, in mo’s opinion - so the band scattered, each one promising to be backstage half an hour before, just in case they needed to go through their set-list or just in case things changed. olivia reminded them all to keep their phones on.
(the carnival was also a way to remember nina patterson and her boyfriend tyler who passed away in a freak car accident at the start of the school year.)
“you look lost,” chuckled a voice to her right when mo passed the food stalls once again.
“don’t we all at some point?” was the first thing out of her mouth.
“i suppose.” the owner of the voice was a girl with short, black hair and a wide, sarcastic grin.
she was dressed in black, had the bluest eyes mo had ever seen, was shorter than the bassist and had a video camera on her person. lemonade mouth had been in the song business for a while now so cameras didn’t freak mohini out anymore. they used to, before.
“i’m audrey,” said the girl, “i’d shake your hand, but—” she was holding her video camera.
“mohini, though you can call me mo. and it’s okay, i’ll just shake your other hand.”
“that’s smart,” audrey drawled and mo winked: “i got sorted in ravenclaw on pottermore.”
“i don’t have any nicknames other than aud or auds,” she said, “and i’m not much of a harry potter fan but congratulations.” mohini shrugged, waving a little at audrey’s camera, “that’s cool. i prefer roshani chokshi anyways.” honestly, mo would sell her soul to write half as well as that lady.
they were silent for a while and then mo said: “if you’re still in the market for a nickname or two, i’d be happy to oblige. i do love a good challenge.” though, really, knowing her and her penchant for flowery words and sentences, audrey would probably go home with a poem about her and her name, filled to the brim with a thousand compliments and then some.
mohini’s phone buzzed. it was a text from charlie, saying that she needed to get to the main stage. she showed it to audrey who said: “maybe later, after your performance. that is, if you’re sticking around.” rachel hadn’t. they had broken up shortly after the start of the school year. it was a clean, mutual break up and it was for the better - rachel needed time and space to focus on herself and the way she saw herself and needed a change of scenery after the video - but audrey still missed her sometimes. they had been friends before they dated.
“oh, i am,” mo assured her, “i’ll be here for three weeks, if not more.”
another text. this time it was scott, wondering why she wasn’t responding and why she wasn’t on her way to the main stage already.
“you should go.”
“i should. will you be there when lemonade mouth takes your little town by storm?”
“sure,” audrey grinned widely at mo as the latter finally stood up. “i can’t not check you guys out. you look like a bassist.” blue eyes met brown. audrey blew mo a kiss after she said: “and, y’know, i’m pretty sure i’ll see you around either way. break a leg out there, will you? i really don’t like mikayla skeech and the scene.”

Young God
Karolina’s Playlist (1k Followers Celebration Challenge)
Prompt: Young God by Halsey (linked to a YouTube lyric video)
Pairing: Lucifer x Meg, Lucifer x Rowena (and Meg really lusting after Rowena)
Word Count: 2222
Summary: politics AU of sorts, where Lucifer is a corrupt lawyer and Rowena and Meg are a part of his household. Meg has plans for revenge and Rowena helps her make them happen. Might end up being a series eventually. (This was a bit rushed because I just couldn’t get the ending right... I knew what I wanted but it wasn’t coming out. So I just wrote it down as best I could and posted it. I’m already later than the original deadline.)
Warnings: emotional, physical, and sexual abuse; graphic depiction of character death; murder (technically it’s manslaughter tho); Meg’s pansexual lusting; semi-graphic rape
Tags: @loveitsallineed @devsfan55 @itsallintheeyeofthebeholder @zzzett (I don’t know who else to tag so feel free to reblog and tag people)
The pool, like everything else at the house, was large and elegant, and it was almost far enough away from the party in the ballroom for the voices to be silenced. Meg walked barefoot along the edge of it, her shoes abandoned on a deck chair along with her suit jacket. She rolled up the sleeves of her well-tailored suit shirt, deep purple giving way to scarred skin. Sitting on the end of the diving board, she dipped her toes into the water and leaned forward to pull up the cuffs of her pants. The night was just warm enough that the contrast of the cool water sent pleasurable chills up her spine.
A noise at the other end of the pool drew her attention. Another woman stood there, looking almost otherworldly in the diffracted light from the pool. Her red hair gave her away as Rowena MacLeod, the daughter of a local small-time politician, who was looking to move up in the world by becoming Lucifer Morgenstern’s wife. Meg had scoffed when she’d first heard of the young woman joining the household. Just another fly in the famed senator’s web.
“You’re Meg, right?” Rowena’s voice was soft, barely heard over the ever-present lapping of the water. “Meg Masters, the head of security?”
She laughed, the sound almost genuine. “Sure, yeah, that’s what they call me.”
“You’re not actually the head of security?”
“Nope, not me. It’s just a joke in the household.” She noticed how stiffly the woman held herself and motioned to a deck chair. “Take those fancy shoes off, Rowena, and enjoy the water.”
The redhead hesitated, then slipped off the heels and sat at the edge of the pool, careful to keep her long dress from trailing into the water. “So why do they call you that?”
Meg smiled, admiring the long pale legs that were now exposed to her view. “I’ll answer that after you tell me what Luci told you to get you into that fucking ugly dress.”
Rowena’s eyes went wide. “It is not ugly!” But the other woman wasn’t buying it, so she sighed and looked down, picking at the fabric. “You’re right, it’s horrid. The color doesn’t suit me at all.”
“So what’d he say to you to convince you to wear it?”
“He said, ‘You want to be queen, yes? Then you do what the king says.’ I couldn’t say no.”
“You’re here because you’re trying to get into the political scene, right? Think being the wife of a powerful senator will get you fame and fortune?” The redhead nodded and Meg smirked. “Have you tried talking to the women who’ve previously been ‘courted’ by the Morningstar?”
“Women? I hadn’t heard…”
“There’s a reason you haven’t…” The butler interrupted then, saying that Rowena was missed in the ballroom. Meg helped her up from the edge of the pool and got her a towel to dry her feet off, knowing Lucifer would be expecting to hear that she’d helped. As the redhead was walking back to the party with the butler, she spared a glance back at the dark-haired woman, her face thoughtful.
Later that night, Meg stood outside the door to Rowena’s room and listened to Lucifer yell at the woman for asking about the others he’d promised things to. “You don’t get to ask questions, bitch,” he snarled. “You wanted to matter, to be important, so now you pay the price. You’re human, you can break, and you’re mine now. If you think this ends well for you…” He chuckled menacingly. “That’s just the sun in your eyes.”
Then he stormed out and locked the door behind him before grabbing the untied ends of Meg’s tie and dragging her to his bedroom to fuck her raw. No tears fell from her eyes, she was used to it now, and later she laid used on his sheets as he stared at the moon through the window and muttered to himself about being a god.
~~~
Meg found a sort of peace at the bottom of the swimming pool. Even if there were other people in the water, all sound was muted. She was weightless, using a weight as an anchor for as long as she could hold her breath. There was no Lucifer to abuse her, no other women to worry about keeping safe. Just herself and the thoughts of rebellion she only allowed to grow when she was in the water’s embrace.
Today, her peace was shattered by a golf ball sinking past her in front of her face. There was a smear of red on it, probably either lipstick or nail polish, and she let go of the weight to grab it and allow herself to float back up to the surface of the water.
Rowena was waiting for her, like she expected, and she shook her hair back from her face, grinning at the other woman. “What’s up, buttercup?” she asked, resting her elbows on the edge of the pool and rolling the golf ball around in her hand.
The redhead, dressed today in a fashionable pantsuit for some sort of meeting Lucifer had gone to, sat down in front of her, legs tucked to the side. She took off a thin silk scarf, revealing dark purple bruises on her neck, clearly in the shape of fingers. “I can’t do it,” she said softly. “Not any more.”
A pang of sympathy ran through Meg, but she pressed her lips into a thin line as she checked the surroundings for signs of waitstaff before speaking. “You have to. You don’t have a choice now.”
“I always have a choice.”
“Not while he’s alive.”
“Exactly.” Those dark eyebrows rose in surprise, and Rowena’s lip curled slightly. “I’m going to kill him. But I need help.”
It took Meg less than a second to decide, her bottom-of-the-pool thoughts returning. “You have mine.”
“Tell me, first, why you’re called the head of security when you’re not.”
“Because ever since I joined the household, I’ve been in Lucifer’s bed every night. So the security guards joke that I’m in charge of security because I keep the ‘closest eye’ on him.” She used air quotes, her distaste for the title evident in her tone and face.
“How disgusting.”
Meg nodded and then grinned. “You should join me in the pool. Nothing like a good swim to clear your mind and find some peace.”
Rowena raised her eyebrows. “But I don’t have a swimsuit yet.”
“Who cares? You’re at Lucifer’s house, you could skinny dip for all anyone would care.” A blush rose high on the redhead’s cheeks and Meg laughed. “You’ve got a bra and panties on, right? How different is that from a bikini?”
“I suppose you’re right…” She still seemed hesitant, so Meg smirked and pushed away from the edge of the pool, floating on her back leisurely.
“It’s up to you, princess. Don’t let anyone say I forced you to enjoy yourself for a little bit.” She closed her eyes and drifted, grinning after a few minutes when a splash sent a wave to jostle her slightly.
When the sun started to set, they abandoned the pool for the hot tub. Meg stared at the petite figure before her, her eyes were inexorably drawn to the curves of the small of the back and the graceful neck. Rowena ordered the butler, who came out to bring them to dinner, to have their meal brought out to the hot tub. Together, they drank champagne and watched the stars and plotted.
~~~
Meg slowly grew closer and more devoted to Rowena, and she knew it wouldn’t go unnoticed by Lucifer. As expected, about a week after they made their pact to bring him down, she was cornered by the senator. “I don’t know what you think you’re doing,” he growled, caging her in with his arms by her head. “But it needs to stop. You remember why you joined me, right?”
“I wanted to find the people who killed my sister,” she answered quietly, face carefully composed.
“And you never will if you betray me. You’re just as disposable as the rest of them, don’t think you’re different just because you’re the one in my bed every night. That’s just you earning your answers.”
Meg couldn’t help the small smirk on her face as she nodded. “Understood, Senator Morgenstern.”
Lucifer’s eyes narrowed but he moved back, watching her as she walked calmly away. Meg already knew who killed her sister; she’d known from the moment the tall man in the white suit had squeezed the life from her. The real reason she’d joined the household was to have her revenge, and now, years later, she’d finally get it with help from Rowena.
~~~
Rowena walked into Meg’s room, shutting the door behind her before dropping a pile of papers onto her desk. “It’s done,” the redhead said quietly, a triumphant smirk twisting her lips.
Meg grabbed the papers and skimmed them quickly, excitement growing in the pit of her stomach. “Perfect,” she said, looking up. “Then tonight, we make our move. Remember how we’re playing it. You’ll have to let him hit you a couple times for this to work.”
“I remember. I’m not the dumb bimbo he says I am.”
“I know, I’m just double-checking everything. The plan has to work as smoothly as possible for it to succeed.”
“It’s practically foolproof, stop worrying.”
“I’m going to worry until that son of a bitch is dead and you’re in charge.” Meg’s face softened and she smiled at Rowena. “Thank you.”
The redhead frowned slightly. “For what?”
“The opportunity to get my revenge.”
A grin crossed her face. “We women have to stick together in a man’s world.”
~~~
Lucifer paced his room, rage clear on his face as he spun back to face Rowena. “How could you?” he yelled. “You changed my living will and forged the signature?”
The petite woman stood her ground in the face of his anger, her composure as carefully controlled as always. “Yes, I did.”
“Why?”
“Because I’m a greedy bitch,” she said, raising her eyebrows.
Despite the fact that he had most likely been thinking it, Lucifer hadn’t expected her to outright say it. His anger quickly caught up and he smacked her across the face before turning away and heading for the door. “I am going to take care of this… insubordination, and then I am going to deal with you.”
Rowena ran in front of him to stop him and planted her feet, swinging up with her fist to punch him hard in the jaw. As the man stumbled backward, shocked by the blow, she winced and shook her hand, preparing herself for what she knew would come next. Lucifer recovered quickly and launched himself at her, grabbing her around the neck and pushing her to the floor. He didn’t notice the door open and shut behind him, didn’t hear the lock click or Meg’s footsteps on the floor because he was so focused on exacting his anger.
Meg had one of his belts in her hands as she stepped up behind him, quickly looping it around his neck and pulling backwards. His hands flew up to claw at the leather and so released Rowena, who coughed as she crawled away from him. Meg dragged Lucifer by the belt, drawing it tight as she crossed it over and pulled. She put all her strength into it, making sure his airflow was completely cut off.
Lucifer fought against her, as she expected, but as the seconds passed, he grew weaker. His fingers, scrabbling at the belt, grew clumsy and faltered, eventually falling still as his hands dropped to the floor. Blood dripped slowly from his nose and the corner of his mouth, eyes bloodshot. He was dead.
The dark-haired woman dropped the belt and his upper body fell with a thump. Meg’s heart raced with adrenaline, breathing fast as she stood over him, triumphant. She felt powerful, and looked over at Rowena with something like a smile on her face. The redhead was staring at her in awe, as if she was divine. A goddess dealing justice and revenge for those who could not take it for themselves.
~~~
They went to court, of course, because no self-respecting detective sees a person’s fingerprints all over a belt next to a body with neck bruises and thinks it was an accident. And Lucifer’s most loyal men didn’t want a woman suddenly in charge of all of the lawyer’s estate. However, Rowena and Meg had planned for this, and they combined their knowledge of the judicial system with the scars and bruises each held as evidence of Lucifer’s abuse.
Meg plead guilty to killing Lucifer, claiming Battered Person’s Syndrome. She was still sentenced to prison, as she wasn’t his current victim of abuse when she killed him, but the term was only for three years, with parole available on good behavior after two. She floated light despite the cuffs around her wrists, knowing she’d be back to help Rowena run the estate soon. And she’d be able to become a goddess of protection, not just justice and revenge.
“Your place will be waiting for you,” Rowena said softly through the two way phone line.
Meg smiled through the prison glass, nodding. “I know.”
