Tf 141: Mafia AU! - Ch 2: Mini Epilogue
{A/N: I might make this a regular thing 'cause I love character development} Link below to the 2nd Chapter :DD
Graves never knew he could laugh that hard.
It was like he got left hooked by that hooker again. Swift and out of nowhere- knocked him out of his knickers really. (Yes, he did wake up without it after being knocked out cold.)
It was said so nonchalantly and off-handedly like it was natural for you to assume that he was the 'boogeyman incarnate.'
He was just so amused by you blatantly and ever so confidently insulting him, right in front of his face.
He was quite surprised himself, usually- if someone had insulted him right in front of his face- a barrel would instantly be between their eyes, or a quick flip of his knife would find itself lodged right besides one of their ears-- whichever he was in the mood for really.
But you.
The glaring exception that he stumbled upon when he just wanted to do a quick smoke at his favorite spot at the bakery.
Before he even entered, he heard murmurs echoing, waking him out of his tired stupor and sobering himself up as he prepares to- potentially- make contact.
It might be that stupid cat that hates him whenever he goes to this spot, but with all the clearly pronounced non-cat like "meows-" he guesses it would be a person, playing with that ridiculously hedonistic cat. (He knows that plump white cat gets spoiled by Nonna and Nonno when they see 'em.)
So he rounds the corner, silently, steps carefully calculated with the intent of dodging anything that would make a sound.
Yet he pauses, taking a better look at you.
âWho the hell were you?â
Why was there a stranger at his Nonna and Nonnoâs place? There was no way you were a thief, judging from the looks of your outfit and how utterly careless of a job you did if you ever infiltrated this place.
AlsoâŚwhy a bakery? Were⌠you that hungry?
Maybe⌠he could provide a better source of income for you, instead of living the live of an unruly street rat.
Even if you were a new face, you had to know the rules of the street.
So he asks, and just like that cat- you jump and unceremoniously land on your ass. Yewouch.
He keeps the grimace to himself, keeping his guard up as you seem toâŚ
not?
be intimated?
by him???
What is going on.
Now, he definitely has to get your ID and papers from the border patrol at the edges of the city. There was no way that someone from this city would act like this, especially if they have been out and around.
He wanted- no... that wasn't right... needed to know who you are.
You were like an itch at the back of his head that he couldn't scratch. Whether you were a threat or not, a new person in town never bode well for the families.
His gut tells him that he discovers a new cog in this creaky old machine he call his home.
So, he follows you through the back door, but was unfortunately stopped by that dreaded cat that was waiting for to lower his guard enough to assault him from the shadows.
He definitely needs his vengeance on that cat.
Once he gets away, he slicks back his hair in a huff as he went in and watch you absent-mindedly wash your hands.
"mio figlio*!" {A/N: Italian for "my son"}
He turns and smiles, "Nonna! I miss you!" opening his arms for a hug but all the old woman did was click her tongue and cross her arms.
"I'm surprised you didn't call me old hag," she sends an unimpressed look to him who reacted sheepishly, "why are you here?"
He pouts, "'cause I missed you and Nonno obviously."
"sure," she deadpans, "you're always welcome here son."
"I know that."
She irks at his confidence and proceeded to lift her foot, aiming for him until she sees at the corner of her eye- you, washing your hands for the umpteenth time now.
Connecting the dots and seeing where her son just came from, she smirks and lowers her foot.
"So you met cara?"
He raises his brow and nods, "did you find your new housekeeper from out of town?"
Seeing as how you had the bakery's apron on, he knew that you worked here, as well as the point that you looked a little too comfortable in the well-guarded space of Nonno. (Nonno's kingdom is the kitchen and anything the light touches in that space, anything outside of it is out of his control.)
Hence he charted it up to you being affiliated to either of the hags, and since Nonna just freely strolled up to him-- he'll take his chances.
But she shrugs, making him frown.
"Just came in last night," she begins explaining, "with John and his boys."
Graves sighs, another factor he did not want to think about at the moment.
"John's friend then?"
She shook her head again, making his creases grow deeper. If you weren't related to John, then how did you get to this place? By accident? This spot is so secluded in already desolate part of town, there was no way you came here intentionally. So, he continues gathering information from Nonna.
"Poor cara bumped into Kyle and was so sick that she couldn't get up," Nonna sympathizes, "had to let her stay for the night and let Johnny take care of her 'till the morning."
"Johnny?" He asks a bit astounded, "took care of a stranger?"
She raised her brow, "you think he did it willingly?"
He lets out a short laugh, "you're right."
"She's been cleaning her hands for the 10th time now," Nonna points out, "I think she still haven't sweated the sick off."
He looks at you, and-- lo and behold, you still were, eyes clearly in a daze as you stare at the wall, hands in an endless cycle of washing and drying off.
"You still say that?" He smirks at her shrug.
"Its true."
Graves watches his Nonna turn around to leave, only to get pinched by her again after scrutinizing your hand washing technique. (A++ for thoroughness.)
"Go and snap cara out of it," she nudges his signature mug in his hand, giving his Nonna a thanking smile while she just rolled her eyes- knowing that he could handle the situation that is you.
And so he does, and your reaction is as skittish as ever, even more so than that blasted cat-- maybe he should just call you 'micia.' {A/N: Italian for cat/kitten}
Although your quips immediately erased that thought, how DARE you call him-- a what?
'a boogeyman incarnate?'
First it was a tombstone (he knows that fairly well) but this?
THIS?
This is new.
And... he doesn't quite mind the light, fuzzy feeling in his chest when he got it.
A new refreshing face you are indeed, making him feel things he hasn't before.
So he tries to explain, why he was so apprehended before you left, despite the wheezes that seemed to be never ending.
He wants it to stop but it feels like he walked into a room filled with laughing gas, and it was quite... addicting.
Now he finds himself staring at you, working both the front and back of the bakery like it was a routiened thing ingrained in your brain. Maybe you waited tables before? You looked experienced, both in terms of service and communicating with customers.
He had half a mind to listen to his Nonna's rant about Nonno and the state of this place, but the other half was on you.
You with the messy hair, a food-stained apron, deep bags on your eyes, frame quite frail, hands shaken-- yet a smile stayed so bright like the sun above you in the alleyway.
Now he genuinely wonders how you found yourself here.
Were you like him? Needing a place to call home?
He hums, letting his thoughts spiral until it lands on you again. The you that snapped out of your rhythm and talked with a snark to John and his gang, quite similar in the manner that you did with him- making him grin quite a bit.
Nonna sees this and smirks, patting Graves' shoulder before standing and calling out to you.
He sees the color pop in your eyes, sparkling in wonder as you ask what Nonna wanted before it fully opens in shock at her words. He knew that the old hag likes messing with her kids.
Wanting to know what you were so shocked about, he approached the table with a smirk, a nod in greeting to the others while you were still in a panic, shakily holding onto Nonna's shoulders as you begged her for an explanation.
"Why don't you finish the lunch rush first, cara?"
So you resigned and nodded, having no choice but to comply to finish that part of the list. One ticked off, another tick to do.
As you finish that part of your shift, albeit more slowly now as fewer people entered and finished off their plates, you did a final check up and removed your apron with a relieved sigh.
Sitting with the rest, right in the middle of Suds and Nonna, as you held onto your own mug of cuppa.
You first listen in to the conversation, letting them lead the conversation as you think of ways of how to convince Nonna to give you minimum wage.
Even if it was a single bill for an hour- you'd take it. You just needed to start somewhere, and you would use this stumbled-upon-opportunity to the utmost possible way.
Once the conversation redirects to you and your situation, you took a sip and decided to explain what happened last night.
"That apartment's been run down for years..." Gaz, who you now learned was the kind man who took care of you last night, mentioned softly-- hands fidgeting above the table as he glanced at you and Price- the big boss man- nervously.
"Aye," Soap- you'd like to still call him Suds for fun- agreed with furrowed brow, "ye' said that ya friend lent it to ye' while ya' find a job 'ere?"
You nod, "that's the gist."
"Quite a ways away you are then," Price frowned, "this bakery is at the opposite end from where you need to be, hun."
You groan, sliding further down your seat- thinking of how the unlucky streak you've had has been fucking you up in more ways than Britney has 99 problems.
After a quiet moment of reprieve, you sat up again and down your shot of cuppa courageously.
"I have a proposal."
Nonna gleamed, arms crossed and an ever so present smirk on her face (just like Grieves.)
"Go on then, cara."
You inhaled and nodded, "I know I'm not in a position to ask but while I finish the list, can--"
You hesitated, knowing the heat of their gazes was crawling under your skin and making it itch, but you decided what you had to do-- whether it would to good or bad results thereon.
"-can... can I ask if its possible? Possible to get minimum.. wage.."
She perks up, and this makes you feel that you have to explain more--
"wh-what I mean is that--"
"You want to work here then?" She smiles, her voice soft, quite different from how she's talked to you so far.
You better consider her words now, thinking if it meant what it truly meant.
You nodded and she sighed in relief.
"Good," she pats your arm, "I was starting to feel guilty from how good you were working."
"So you did feel bad!" You glared at the old woman who simply laughs it off, ruffling your hair as your pouted.
"I did, but a job needs to be done."
"And I happen to be here- I know."
You both giggle and finally feel a bit more relaxed, that tension of holding onto that issue now gone quickly as soon as it was brought up.
"What if I contributed to that minimum wage?" Graves suddenly offers and you both turn to him in shock, one in confusion while the other in appreciation.
"Why?"
"I knew I raised you right mio figlio!"
Graves smirks, leaning back onto his chair with his hands in his pockets, "just want to pitch in to the cause."
You huffed, "I'm not a charity case...sir."
He chortles again, knowing that it was hard for you to deny the extra pay as it goes against your morals.
"No, no-" he corrects, "think of it as a son, helping his ma."
He wraps an arm around Nonna's shoulders, making her snuggle into his embrace happily while he looks to the four smugly. He knew that- with this proposal- he'd have more opportunities to... get to know you better per se.
"Then we want to help to," Price proses as well, making Graves throw him a quick pointed glare that earns him the same from the other three.
If he knew John as if he was his brother, then he knew he has a card hiding up his sleeve.
But its still to early to look into that, so he lets it happen.
You, on the other hand, were quite in a predicament of accepting it or not. You still wanted to repay both Price, Nonna, and Nonno (for lodging and food)- but it would be quite awkward if you did so through the means of their own money going back to them.
Although, from the looks of their faces, it seemed like they weren't going to stand down so you nodded- checking in with Nonna if that was alright with her and she simply grinned, an enthused reply of "yes! My sons are the best~!" coming from her.
"So," you cleared your throat, "I start today?"
Nonna thinks about it for a moment, "I don't see why not."
You internally cheer at this.
"Which means you have to know about the family business!"
The table shakes as the men stand in protest, but she pays no mind to it as your focus gets directed to her forcing eye-contact with you by grabbing both your cheeks.
"The family...business?"
"Yes!" you could hear the others scream but you could only hear the next words coming out of her mouth as she whispers...
"we're... a mafia family!"
Hearing this, the color- which is ironic as it is already colorless and pale- drains from your face, making you slump and faint in shock- brain shutting down as you.exe required a self-reboot.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP! THE WHOLE LOT OF YOU!"
Nonno enters, now pissed off at the mess and was going to ask you until his brows raised in question at his wife, carrying you by the face- was shaking your limb body awake.
Once again, you regret taking the offer of someone trying to 'un-fuck' your week.
A/N: A little long bit this time hehe (i enjoy writing Graves being one of the first charas that gets "enamored" by you, just because he sees you as an oddity in the city. He actually went to visit Nonna that day because he was so tired of his current life, that he needed a change of pace. He was thinking of helping around for a bit before exploring his options but, lo and behold, you appeared and presented a different kind of opportunity of experience he has yet to feel <//3) All of the boiyos are touch-starved and sometimes- in their moments of weakness- they ache for it hehe Thank you for reading! Next chappie will be up soon (im havin too much fun with world building this au)

Something something, Kaeya developing a simultaneous pyromania-pyrophobia after Le Confrontation
#hc; kaeya#//Him developing an obsession with fire shortly after#//Both bc it reminds him of Luc & misses him; but also bc there's something about controlled fires he's set that gives him a sense of safety#//Fires he's set or otherwise has a handle on; Kae finds soothing; feels oddly peaceful and content in the face of them#//Fire was once a source of nothing but solace for him; after all. The one thing he was sure would never hurt him bc of their wielder#//On the other hand; he also feels a massive aversion to fire if it gets to close to him/he feels the heat a bit too much#//Whether bc he didn't realize how close he got; or something else was the starter/source#//Outright burns can send him into an anxiety attack or worse; depending on severity and how aware he was of them prior to it#//Even flickers of fire at the corner of his vision set him ill at ease; and he might even be More aggressive as a result#//Friends like Amber and Klee with Pyro Visions are safe; though. He might get a bit uneasy around Amber; but Klee he trusts entirely#//He knows Klee would never intentionally hurt him; if she ever does accidentally; he would never get upset nor trust her less#//If anything; he'd be more scared FOR her; acting like SHE was the one who got burned; making sure she's completely okay#//Amber on the other hand wouldn't get away with hurting him so easily; even accidentally#//She would be on the receiving end of a venom-laced; yet honey-sweet scolding she may or not feel holding that extreme malice#//He would never go out of his way to hurt her; but she might find her patrols far more aggravating and even a little more dangerous#//All within reason; of course; he'll swoop in if she's truly in danger of dying. But his spite knows few bounds#//Diluc's flames themselves make the pyromanic-phobic sentiments war#//Leaves him almost seemingly petrified in place (in awe or fear; even he doesn't know) more so the closer those flames are to him#//Kae's eye will always linger on them for a few moments upon manifesting; no matter what dangers are about him#//Tends to get himself and sometimes even others hurt if he doesn't snap himself out of it fast enough. Typically himself though#//Then gets him annoyed that he had such a reaction; and will play it off as himself being a idiot or gaslighting anybody who asks#//He is always quite tempted to try and goad Diluc into turning his flames against him again; make him feel that same fear from that day#//Thinks it might fix him if he gets a second dose he can properly process; esp since he'd fully intend to get such a reaction#//Being far more mentally prepared bc he was actively asking for it; he reasons#//But he can't bring himself to; no matter how badly he wants to kick that wasps' nest sometimes; esp in his lowest moods#//He fears what would happen if that ends up severing things between them for good#//He'd rather keep Diluc annoyed at him and always feel that itch; then scratch it and be cut off from him again/permanently#//He copes with letting Klee sets off sparks in his hands--harmless enough to not make him spiral; enough to sting a bit and make him FEEL#//Calms him; it does. On the plus; it helps him help teach Klee extreme Vision control. So he has an excuse if questioned#//Will probably never fully trust Diluc's flames near him ever again. Deffo doesnt't like having Amber's either

Iâm sure someoneâs already headcannoned this, but Bruce having pet names for the Batkids? Man, those are his babiesâyou can bet your ass he has pet names for them. He might not be the type of man to show much affection beyond a shoulder pat or the occasional forehead kiss, but heâs determined to parent the crap outta these orphans, and pet names are an easier medium to show that he cares.
Dick is both âchumâ and âsweetheartâ depending on the context. When Bruce is feeling playful and comfortable (the easy, âyour mine and Iâm just happy to be here with youâ kind of love), heâll stick with âchumâ and Dick absolutely loves it. But when Dickâs sick or has a nightmare or got injured during patrol? Itâs sweetheart. Itâs default mode for Bruce, because seeing Dick in pain brings up so many raw, intense emotions (Bruce gets scared, goddamit) that itâs easier for him to say âIâve got you, sweetheart, itâs okay, just keep your eyes on mine,â then it is to say âIâm so terrified that Iâm going to loose you, I love you, youâre my everything.â
Jason isâJaylad.â But itâs less of the name thatâs important and more of the story behind it that is. For the first few months that Jason was in Bruceâs care, Bruce didnât dare call him anything other then his name, in fear that heâd scare him away (he was already so distrusting, so hesitant, so fearful whenever Bruce talked to loud or moved to fast or got upset), but at the same time, heâd seen how pleased Dick had been at being called âchumâ and wanted to bestow a similar endearment on Jason. Butâhe didnât want to go to far. So instead of calling him âladâ like his own father had once called him, Bruce calls him âJaylad.â Itâs a little more impersonal, but it makes Jason more comfortable. (But when Bruce cradled his sonâs broken body he said âno, darling, not you, donât leave meââ because just how Dick is âsweetheart,â Jason has also always been âdarling.â)
For Tim⌠itâs more complicated. He shoved his way into Bruceâs life and heâs forever grateful, but it wasnât the same as it was with Jason and Dick. He sees Tim as his son, of course, but their relationship was built on the darkest, most despairing part of Bruceâs life. But even in that terrible season, Bruce would look over at Tim working on a case or cleaning his suit and say, âGood job, sport.â It doesnât happen often, but Tim is âsport.â
Cassandra is âlove.â Bruce has never said it to her, aloud, but he knows Cass can read him well enough to hear the unspoken endearment, to see how much he longs to protect her, bring her joy, fill her heart with all the love sheâs filled his with.
Steph is âduck.â And not necessarily because Bruce decided that it was, but because 9 times out of 10 he finds himself screaming, âRobin, get down!â because Stephanie will not for the love of God follow his orders, and end up right in the line of fire. To save time he eventually just started saying âDuck!â It keeps Steph from getting whacked to high heavens and saves Bruce (another) heart attack, but over the years itâs also become somewhat of a ritual to say âduckâ whenever Steph walks in the room. Bruce secretly wants to call her âduckyâ (which is what his mother called Kate), but heâs never worked up the nerve.
Duke is âkid.â By the time heâs in the family, Bruce has loosened up and lightened up, especially with everyday affection (which is to say, heâs not avoiding it like the plague). Heâs quick to say âGood job, kidâ whenever Duke had an accomplishment or ask âhow are you today, kiddo?â when they see each other in passing in the Batcave.
Damian, lastly, would never allow Bruce to call him anything other then his name. But every once in a while, Bruce can get away with saying âson.â And itâs the best thing in the world.

â donât blame me
jealous batboys x f!reader
requested by anon
Dick
As his partner, it was expected for him to cling around you. No matter where you went, he was there. Your apartment, the supermarket, outside your work area- anywhere really. He doesnât mind if you get along with his friends and family, heâs very happy that you get along with them. But if Dick sees someone he doesnât know, smiling and spending time with you. Thatâs when he gets jealous.
Today, he went on his usual routine by fetching you from work but then he spots you with a man he doesnât know.. Dick leans towards you, his arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you close to his body as he interrupts the conversation. You raised your brow at the sudden gesture but he ignores you.
Dick glances at the man that you have been talking to, narrowing his eyes slightly. He doesnât say anything to the man, for now. Instead, he glances down at you, a small smile on his face. âHi, babe.â
âDick this is-â he immediately cuts you off âUh, huh.â He nods, completely ignoring the man as he keeps his gaze fixed on you. âI was just looking for you.â He pulls you even closer to his side. âI missed you.â He murmurs, his hand on the side of your waist, gently massaging your hip.
You looked at him skeptically âYou just saw me an hour ago?â you crossed your arms. He tilted his head. âAnd?â A slight pout formed on his face. âCanât I miss my girlfriend?â
The man in front of you two chuckled âWell, my name is Romhelle, I was her former classmate back in high school.â he explained. That made him immediately stop pouting. His eyes darted towards Romhelle, silently sizing him up. His grip around your waist tightens ever so slightly.
âOh? You two go way back then, huh?â He tried to sound as casual as he could, but clearly, there was a hint of jealousy in his voice. âNot so.â Romhelle replied âWe werenât that close.â he added. You glared at Dick âSee? You donât have anything to worry about.â
He chuckled quietly, glancing down at you before his gaze returned to Romhelle. âOh, Iâm not worried. I know sheâs mine,â His hand moved from your hip, and to your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. After bantering with the guy, he immediately got along with him. He was laughing, talking with him like they were best friends and as if he wasnât jealous a moment ago. You only stood there absolutely baffled.
Jason
Jason doesnât like sharing unless it's with you. Stephanie asking if he could share the cookies he bought? Nope, itâs his. Tim asking if he could borrow his controller? Just use your own. Damian borrowing his equipment? Absolutely not.
He would especially be Jealous if you got along with his family members. The way you laughed and enjoyed your time with them made him feel so petty. He doesn't know why he was like this, but he always hated it when you interacted with them. He would always try to find reasons to pull you away from them, whether it be 'training' for a mission or going on patrol.
He huffed as he leaned back into the couch. His eyes are not leaving you talking with Damian. He knew he should not be jealous over something so small. He was his little brother after all, why is he so worked up about him? I mean, heâs so much better than some kid. When Damian left, you finally noticed what was up with your boyfriend.
âWhatâs the matter?â you asked. He looked up at you, arms still crossed over his chest. He let out a huff, avoiding eye contact as he talked. âIâm not jealous.â You only chuckled âI didnât ask if you were jealous.â
You sat on the floor with him and cupped his face, squishing it a bit âCâmere. Tell me what's wrong.â you coed teasing him a bit. He pouted more when you squished his cheeks. He tried to look annoyed and upset, but it was hard not to feel happy with you. âNothingâs wrong.â He looked away, mumbling. âItâs stupid.â
You looked softly at his eyes âCome on, tell me.â
âMn? Why not?â you asked.
âBecause theyâre annoying and obnoxious. Why are you getting along with them so easily?â
You caressed his face âHey, there's no need to be jealous. I just enjoy their company, that's all. It doesnât mean I enjoy yours less.â you reassured him. âIâm not jealous.â He mumbled, he scoffs. âI just donât know why you like them so much, itâs pissing me off.â You only chuckled softly âOh, come here you.â
You grabbed his face and placed a hard kiss on his cheek. He huffs, his face was dusted pink as he refuses to look at you. âYouâre embarrassing me.â he said as he leaned to your touch anyway. You placed another kiss on the same spot âThatâs the point.â
He couldnât fight the small smile that tugged at his lips as you continued placing kisses on his cheek. He felt a warm sensation spread in his chest.
Stephanie walks in the two of you, her gaze darkened as she looked at the two of you with a scowl. âGross, get a room!â she exclaims. Jason glares at Stephanie as soon as he notices her standing there. âWhy donât you learn how to knock, Blondie?â
Bruce
Bruce doesnât really get possesive, he knows heâs yours and you know your his. If a guy would hit on you, he would just tell them to back off. But if someone way out of your league has your attention, thatâs when he gets jealous. Why would you enjoy your time with a lame person?
When he introduced you to Clark, he had never been this Jealous his entire life. How did you get along with him so easily? He doesnât get it, he literally has a reporter salaryâŚ
On the drive back to Gotham, you noticed he was more silent and brooding as usual. âWhatâs wrong, love?â you asked. âNothing.â he grumbled, his hand tightening on the steering wheel.
âYou know you canât lie to me, Bruce.â You said, rolling your eyes. He stayed quiet for a few moments before letting out a sigh. âClark.â he muttered under his breath, a scowl on his face.
You raised an eyebrow at him, trying to hold back a snort. âWhat about him?â you asked, pretending to be clueless. Bruce's scowl deepened as he shot you a sideways glance. âYou were getting along with him pretty well.â he grumbled, his tone laced with annoyance.
You couldnât help but laugh at his jealousy. âAre you...jealous?â Bruce's grip on the steering wheel tightened even more. âJealous? Me? Of Kent?â he huffed, trying to sound nonchalant. âPlease.â
You placed a hand on his thigh, trying to calm him down. "Don't worry, love. You have nothing to be jealous about." you assured him gently. His body immediately relaxed at your touch, and he reached down to cover your hand with his. "I know." he muttered, his scowl softening slightly. "It's just... Clark has a way of getting under my skin."
"You were laughing at his jokes," he remarked, "...You never laugh at my jokes."
âBut you donât do jokes.â
"I can do jokes," he protested, "I just... choose not to."
You smiled, finding his grumpy expression endearing. "Sure you do," you teased, patting his thigh. He let out another huff of annoyance.
"It was... annoying."
âYou think everything Clark does is annoying." you pointed out.

The Mysterious Visitor 2
Batfamily x batsis (platonic!)
Synopsis: The unknown child evokes conflicting feelings in Bruce Wayne, who once again finds himself needing to deal with Talia's life problems. The girl only wanted the simple desire to see her brother again, unaware of the danger she had put herself into on her journey.
Warnings: The reader is 13 years old and is Damian's twin sister; the tone of the story is somewhat sad; Bruce is intimidating; Hugo Strange mentioned.
Word count: 2.8k
Note: I feel like maybe I could have developed a more emotional scene between Bruce and the reader, I also want to delve deeper into her thought process, but I hope to make up for that in the next part.
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6
Alfred could finally check the exact time now that he was standing in front of Bruce's room, admiring for a few seconds the clock in the corridor's decoration, which showed 4:17 am. He prepared to knock on the door, but suddenly a thought crossed his mind: would it be more rational to wake Damian instead of his father? Throughout his life, he had faced unusual situations thanks to the Wayne family; hardly anything would shake him now. His concern, however, was not for himself, but for Bruce.
Talia was a persistent shadow in Bruce's past, still haunting him, and although he had tried to convince the butler many times that the only link he had with her now was because of their son, Alfred still doubted it. Their relationship had been complicated in many ways, either because of her ambiguous nature or Raâs al Ghul's insistence on trying to persuade Bruce to join the League of Assassins, making Alfred fear that Bruce's morals might deviate because of this passion at the time.
Alfred raised his fist to knock three times and waited patiently as was his custom, but it seemed that was not enough to wake his master. He knew the door was open and knew he was allowed to enter without knocking, so just this once he used the liberty the young man had given him over the years; because in the end, Bruce Wayne was just that, a young man, and would always be seen that way by him.
Inside the room, he turned on the light, and the intense glare made him close his eyes to avoid the sting of the brightness. Approaching the bed, he sighed at the sight of Zolpidem pills left on the nightstand. This had been the only way Bruce found to stop spending sleepless nights, reluctantly since he was too stubborn and preferred to patrol in the darkness. Waking him would be a difficult task.
"Master Bruce," he called, waiting for a response, but got nothing. Alfred felt sorry for waking him, seeing how he finally seemed to be resting. "Master Bruce," he called again, this time nudging his shoulder. The pills must have been wearing off because he started to stir on the mattress.
"Whatâs going on, Alfred?" Bruce asked in a hoarse voice while rubbing his eyes to relieve the discomfort from the lamp. He sat up in bed, leaning his back against the headboard, blinking several times to see the butler in the corner. One of the room's curtains was open, and he saw the snow falling outside with the dark sky, showing that it was still night. "Is it Hugo Strange? Has he shown up somewhere?"
"Unfortunately, or fortunately, no, sir." Alfred paused, then licked his lips, preparing to continue and finally revealing, "There's a young lady downstairs who claims to be Master Damianâs sister." Direct, as always.
"Sister of Damian?" Bruce repeated the information, still not fully comprehending its meaning. He needed some time, just standing there absorbing the words. It seemed to be taking an eternity, but Alfred wouldn't interrupt the moment of clarity he was having.
He squinted, pushed the covers aside, and picked up the shirt he found nearby. Buttoning it up and getting out of bed, he continued, "When did this happen?"
"Just now, sir."
"Did Damian bring her here?" The question had a bitter tone but never crossed the line of respect that was drawn between them, and Alfred knew he should prepare for his interrogation. Bruce saw the alarm clock and, like the butler a few minutes ago, checked the time. "He never mentioned anything like this."
"Nor to me." Alfred suddenly extended a coat for him to take. Bruce held the fabric between his fingers, confused. "This coat is hers. Thereâs a map of Gotham City and a letter inside. I recommend you take a look at the addressee."
Pulling the papers from the right pocket, Bruce noticed a map folded into many smaller parts and a letter witch was still sealed, though the corners were noticeably crumpled and marked by small fingers. Carefully analyzing the cursive handwriting, he read. "I had no idea Damian still had contact with his mother. Much less that Talia had a daughter," he said, still drowsy, staring at the name 'Talia Head,' to whom the letter was addressed and recognizing his sonâs elegant handwriting. Apparently, she still used the alias surname.
"It's not surprising considering you only discovered your son after so many years." The statement could have easily been interpreted as irony, but it was acidic. "She didnât seem sure Damian lived here; I suppose she found out because of this letter."
"You left her alone downstairs?" he ignored the previous comment.
"I left her in Master Dick's care."
Bruce stared at him for long seconds and hurried out of the room. Halfway down the stairs, he could already see some glimpses of Dick's hair over the back of the sofa, talking to someone, or rather, laughing with someone.
"Dick?" The voice quickly caught his attention, turning his face to see his father approaching. When Bruce stood in front of the fireplace, he could finally look at the child beside the boy. Dick began to say something, but Bruce couldnât hear.Â
He stared at the girl, analyzing everything about her, from the way she intertwined her fingers nervously to her deer-like eyes. Her iris were shining, as if she had cried, and her swollen and bruised lips were quite noticeable. She had definitely been outside not long ago, shaking and rubbing her hands together constantly to warm herself up. She seemed too sweet, but Bruce knows that appearances can be deceiving.
His gaze passed over the pendants hanging from her bracelet, a simple detail that caught him off guard. Two crossed swords and a demonic head, he understood well what they meant; they were some of the symbols of the League of Assassins, the third was a simple "T" surrounded by a moon. He shouldnât have been surprised, Talia was a possessive woman and he knew that the "T" was her way of marking property.
"Her name is Y/n," he heard Dick say after a long time.
You noticed how this man's eyes went dark while he watched you and couldnât help but shrink back on the sofa. It was impossible to hold his gaze, and you began to feel ashamed of being stared at for so long.
"Y/n, this is Bruce Wayne."
"What do you want?" That came out ruder than he intended, but his aversion to the League of Assassins stirred a certain anger. The idea that this could all be a trap crossed his mind. You might be young and exude innocence, but you must have enough understanding to participate in their malicious plans.
"I just wanted to see my brother," you said with sadness in your voice, questioning yourself if this whole situation was worth it. Bruce knew the best way to confirm if this was all true would be by his sonâs word, but the signs were so explicit that it might not even be necessary.
You donât look anything like her, at least at first glance, but you wore her favorite colors and clothes so perfectly matched that no girl your age could choose yet, exactly to Talia's taste and with the appropriate youthful touch for your age. The pendants, the cut of your hair, literally everything had her touch. It was impossible for anyone to convince him otherwise.
"Go get Damian." He said, and Dick understood that the message was for him. Bruce needed to make sure you were telling the truth, or at least needed to make sure you werenât dangerous. This could still be a League scheme or some plot by your mother.
"Can I see him?" Your voice was the loudest you had spoken that night. The excitement was clear, and it was so much that irrationally you stood up to follow Dick, but a calloused hand suddenly wrapped around your torso and stopped you, making your back hit a slightly prominent belly. You looked up and saw the old man again, his expression was not happy, and you realized it was directed at Mr. Wayne, who had an arm extended towards you but that never managed to touch you.
Like his face, his arm was tense, with visible veins and contracted tendons. You didn't know what his intentions were, but by the way the old man grabbed you to prevent him from laying hands on you, maybe he wasn't as good as he or Dick. It was a very scary sight., making you feel that this man could be dangerous. Trusting the old man, you turned to hug him, hiding as much as possible. Mr. Wayneâs aura was dark, very unfriendly, but you still saw how he recoiled with his face displaying a certain sense of regret.
Dick noticed Alfred's sudden movement behind him before he could leave the room. He glanced at their faces and for a moment considered whether it would be appropriate to turn back and mention the conversation he had with you to the butler in secret, but then his eyebrows furrowed thinking of Damian. Maybe he should confront the little demon first.
"Donât do anything stupid, Bruce." Dick thought.
Frantically he knocked on the boyâs door. One, two, three, four times until he lost count. At no point did he hear any noise inside, so he began to turn the doorknob, only to find it was locked.
"Of course heâd lock it, that brat..."
"What are you doing?" Suddenly Tim's bedroom door behind him opened abruptly, making a sliver of light from inside illuminate the opposite wall. He was obviously irritated at being woken up but still had that tone of seriousness he carried most of the time.
"Where's his room key?" Dick completely ignored his brother's attitude.
"Forget it. I heard him sneak out to patrol again." Tim's voice sounded tired.
"And you let him?!" Dick snapped but reminded himself to contain it, remembering that Jason was sleeping in one of the rooms in that wing and that you three downstairs might hear the commotion. "Why didnât you stop him?"
"And what good would it do? That boy is too stubborn." Tim tried to defend himself. "Besides, I have his location right here. Heâll be fine." He opened the door a bit more to show one of his computer monitors tracking the trajectory and heart signals of a green dot on the streets of Gotham City.
Dick looked both ways down the hallway before pushing Tim back into his room and closing the door.
"Hey, what's this? Why are you acting so weird?" Tim was startled by Dick's unusual behavior, feeling anxious as he watched him go to the computer to check Damian's exact location, observing the dot on the screen moving. Dick pressed a button, likely an emergency notification to get Damian to return home. Then he turned to Tim, gripping his shoulders and looking at him with intense seriousness.
"Tim, what I'm about to tell you might be a lot to take in, and I need you to try to understand as much as possible." Dick pointed a finger in his face, waiting for confirmation.
"You're scaring me like this. What the hell happened?"
"No questions and no interruptions! Understood?" Dick's tone was authoritative, stepping back only when he saw Tim nodding affirmatively.
"Why the hell is everyone awake downstairs? Did someone die or something?" Jason barged into Tim's room without ceremony, trying to make a joke, but when he saw the ghostly expressions on their faces, he quickly shut the door again, this time with him inside the room. "My God," he exclaimed in shock. "Can I join in on your little secret?" he asked ironically.
"Did you see the girl?" Dick asked Jason nervously, with a certain expectation.
"Yeah. I saw a girl with Bruce and Alfred. But they didn't see me, since I went back upstairs. The mood down there is pretty tense." Jason threw himself on the bed, making the mattress bounce and Tim frown in displeasure. "I think Alfred is going to give him a lecture afterwards."
"She's Bruce's daughter."
Jason propped himself up on his elbows, and Tim had to sit in the computer chair. His mouth formed a perfect 'O' as he struggled to believe Dick's words.
"With who this time?" Jason seemed to be reacting better than Tim to the news, even letting out a light laugh. It was a typical, caustic Jason response.
"That's not all." Dick ignored his comment. "She said she's Damian's twin."
Tim let out a short whistle, processing the idea like a complex calculation. "Tell this story from the beginning, Dick. Why did she show up now?" He finally managed to rejoin the conversation. It took a while for the shock to pass, but now he had his usual rational demeanor.
Dick rubbed his hands over his face, trying to recount the night and organize the information. "Apparently, she doesn't even know Bruce is her father. And he doesn't know about it either."
"Damian also never mentioned having a sister."
"Damn. Hiding one kid for a decade is something, but two?" Jason stared at the floor as if it were the most interesting thing in the world, a strange sensation taking over the room. But seeing the melancholic expression on Dick's face, his curiosity grew even more. "What else do you know, huh Dick?" He questioned him, sensing there was something much deeper behind this, and his brother just gave him an enigmatic look.
"She said she came here to see Damian. That she found out where he was because of a letter he wrote to Talia..." Dick suddenly froze, pulling a little box from his pocket as if it were a dangerous bomb. "While we were talking, she said a man had helped her get here. He gave her a map and asked her to deliver a present to Bruce, but she gave it to me to deliver." He handed the beige little box to the two, but it was Tim who took it.
Whatever it was, it was very well wrapped.
"Is it right to open it?" Tim asked. "I mean, it's for Bruce, isn't it?"
"I already opened it." Dick said bluntly. "I thought it might be a trap, I was careful."
"Give it here." Jason took the small box from Tim's hands. It was the same size as an engagement ring box, perfect for carrying in a pocket. He pulled the lid off and took out a card, freezing when he read it.
"What does it say?" Tim was curious, taking the card from his hands and reading it out loud:
'I sent your daughter home as a demonstration of my benevolence. Merry Christmas, Batman. Signed, H.S.â
"Holy shit," Jason exclaimed, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees. "That bastard figured out Batman's identity."
"Even worse: he knew about her before we did." Tim added reflectively, his voice barely a whisper. "That means he knows much more than just Batman's identity. He might know other things, including our identities. He probably suspects we are also vigilantes."
"I want to hear the whole story properly." Jason's intensely serious voice broke the silence that had settled in the room, determined to fully understand the appearance of this girl and how she got involved with Hugo Strange.
Dick took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts before speaking. "Alright, here it is. Minutes ago, Alfred and I woke up because a girl showed up at the manor claiming to be Damian's sister. She told me that she had a map of Gotham and a letter addressed to Talia from Damian. Alfred brought Bruce to her, and then I went upstairs to call Damian, but I discovered that he's out on patrol. And now we're here."
Tim interrupted, "Wait, so Damian's been in contact with Talia and didn't tell us?"
"That's what it seems like," Dick confirmed, rubbing his temples. "The girl didn't even know Bruce was her father. She mentioned that a man helped her get here and gave her a map along with a present for Bruce."
Jason leaned forward even more. "And this man was Hugo Strange."
"Not xactly, he could have sent someone else." Dick nodded. "The present was that card. Strange knows about her and about Bruce being Batman. He sent her here as some twisted gift."
Tim, processing the information, asked, "Did she say anything about why Strange would do this? What does he gain from sending her here?"
"She didn't seem to know much about Strange's intentions," Dick replied. "She just wanted to see Damian. But itâs clear that Strange knows a lot more than he's letting on. He must have some larger plan in mind."
Jason clenched his fists, his anger palpable. "So, this girl is just a pawn in his game. We need to figure out what his endgame is."
"Agreed," Dick said. "But first, we need to make sure she's safe and find out everything she knows. We also need to talk to Damian and see what tell us about all this."
Tim nodded, adding, "And we have to stay vigilant. If Strange knows this much, we can't underestimate him. He could have more moves planned."
Jason stood up, his determination evident. "We need to get to the bottom of this before anyone gets hurt."
"But what about Talia? Did she just let her daughter go out there, be deceived by a stranger, and then simply come here?" Tim pointed out. "And you, Dick? Are you going to tell Bruce?"
Suddenly, the sound of someone tapping on the window glass was heard. The three brothers turned their heads to see Damian, clad in his Robin attire, asking to come in. "Open up already, you idiots."

a/n: short little thing, but this feels like the cutest thing i have written in a while. if you enjoy it, please consider reblogging or leaving a comment <33
Joel sighs to himself as he scrapes the remnants of Rosemaryâs lunch into the bin of food scraps beside the kitchen counterâthe neighborâs chickens were in for a real treat tomorrow morning when he dropped them off on his way to patrol. He had just about coaxed his two and a half year old daughter into eating the crust of her jam sandwich when Ellie walked into the kitchen with a soccer ball tucked under her arm, a trade he was fairly certain sheâd made more for the toddlerâs sake than her own.
She was sixteen now, spent more time with her friends than she did with her family lately, but her soft spot for the little girl always, always brought her back home.
âHey kid, look what Iâve got,â Ellie had grinned, holding the ball out for the child to see. âWhat do you say we go out back and kick this thing around? Sound like fun?â
He frowned, the creases between his brows deepening.
âEllie, canât you see Iâm in the middle of feedinâ herââ
But it had been too late.
Rosieâs dark brown eyes widened, and she squealed in delight. âDown! Down!â she had exclaimed, whacking her teeny hands down on top of her wooden high chair on either side of her plate. âDaddy! Down, want down!â
Joel decided to put his foot down.
Well, he had tried to put his foot down, anyway.
âNot âtil youâve finished every last bite, babygirl. Yâgotta finish your sandwich and eat all your carrots, alright?â
âMâall done,â sheâd insisted, placing both hands on her belly. Although Joel would have preferred she clean her plate, you had taught him to honor her fullness cues.
âWe have to listen to Rosemary,â youâd told him. âIf she says sheâs full, then sheâs full. The last thing we want to do is force her to keep eating when sheâs not hungry, Joel. Her relationship with food starts with us, after all.â
âYouâre startinâ to sound like that goddamn child rearinâ book,â he had teased you, earning himself a stern glare.
He liked to give you a hard time about it, but the truth of the matter was, that parenting book you found in the library turned out to be pretty helpful for both of youâwhile this wasnât Joelâs first rodeo, the last time he had been around a child this young was over three decades ago. With Sarah, heâd flown through her childhood by the seat of his pants, went through a lot more trial and error scenarios than he liked to admit.
Often, Joel found himself feeling guilty. He tried to give some credit to the clueless young man in his twenties, the one who had been left to raise his baby girl all on his own when her mom couldnât take it anymore after one year. Things turned out alright, but whenever he sees you with Rosemary, takes in the way you pour your entire heart into being a good mother to yours and his daughter, he canât help but reminisce on his first life, on all those moments he felt so hopelessâall of those moments when he didnât know what to do, and had no one to turn to for help. No one to lean on.
Oh how he wished Sarah could have known what it was like to have both of her parents at her side.
Like Rosie does.
Sighing, Joel places her plate in the sink, along with his own. He turns and glances at the clock on the wallâitâs half past noon, and he knows your early morning patrol group should be arriving back to the townâs main gates any minute now. Sure, caring for Rosemary had served as a decent distraction, but every so often, his anxieties would creep up on him. He worried about you being out there on the other side of the wall. And if you being out there wasnât bad enough, you were out there without him.
âIâm back on the patrol roster next week,â you informed him one evening while the two of you were cleaning the kitchen after supper. You winced when he dropped the plate in his hands into the sink, the loud clanking noise bouncing off the walls. You wasted no time in pleading your case. âItâs been almost three years, Joel. I have to get back to pulling my weight around here. As much as Iâd love to, I canât stay home forever, and you know that as well as I do.â
Slowly, heâd spun around to face you, the muscle in his jaw tickingâhe wasnât happy. âFind another job,â he bit through his teeth. âSomethinâ in town. Somethinâ safe.â
âJoelââ
âYouâre a mother now!â he hissed, angrily.
âAnd youâre a father,â youâd countered without missing a beat. Knowing Joelâs reaction was only coming from a place of concern, you walked up to him and placed a hand on his heaving chest, right over his racing heart in an effort to calm him. âLook, Iâm just capable of getting myself home safely as you are, alright? And if it makes you feel any better, Iâll be partnered with Tommy. Heâll have my back.â
Heâd found very little consolation in that.
Joel sighs again and reaches for the faucet.
âUh, Joel?â Ellieâs voice comes from behind him.
âWhat?â He turns around, his jaw dropping open when he sees her standing there, carefully holding Rosemary out towards him by her underarms. Sheâs covered from head to toe in mud. âWhat the hell did you do to her?â
âYou know how it was raining for like three days?â Ellie shoots him a sheepish smile. âThe ball went into a mud puddle, and well, she sorta went in after it.â
âJesus Christ, sheâs filthy!â Exasperated, Joel narrows his eyes at her. âWhy werenât you watchinâ her?â
âI was, but she was too fast! Kidâs a little speed demon, man. Arenât ya, Rosie?â
Rosie giggles and kicks her dangling feet, mud dripping off her tiny, leather oxford shoes and onto the floor with an audible splatter.
âSheâs gonna be home from patrol any minute now,â he says, shaking his head. âIf she sees Rosie like this, sheâll have my ass, and yours.â Carefully, he takes Rosemary from Ellieâs hands, holding her out and away from him. He jerks his chin towards the dirty floor. âClean up this mess while I take her upstairs and give her a bath. We might just be able to get away with this.â
She gives him a thumbs up. âYou got it, old man.â
âCâmon, Rosie Posie. Letâs get you all washed up before mama gets home and puts all three of us in a timeout.â
She gives him a wide, toothy smile. âOkay, daddy.â
Groaning, you shove through the front door.
You had underestimated how difficult it would be to get back in the saddle of a horse after almost three years of not being in one.
It would take some getting used toâagain.
âFuck,â you hiss, closing the door and leaning against it for support. Your knees. Your thighs. Your lower back.
There isnât a single part of you that isnât aching.
After taking a minute to collect yourself, you push away from the door and toe off your old, brown leather boots, leaving them there near the entryway. You call out, âIâm home!â
âOh hey!â From seemingly out of nowhere, Ellie comes speeding down the hallway, skidding to a stop in front of you with her backpack slung over her shoulder. âJust the person I wanted to see! Mind if I head over to Dinaâs for a while?â
âHow long is a while, El?â
âShe invited me to stay for dinner.â
You raise a knowing eyebrow at her, a smirk tugging at the corners of your mouth. âAgain?â
Flushing, Ellie nods. âYeah.â
âDid you ask Joel for permission?â
âAw come on, man! Do I really have to ask Joel?â She huffs and rolls her eyes. âI can hear him bitching at me already.â Dropping her voice several octaves, she starts to mimic him, accent and all. âYâbeen spending every fuckinâ night over there. Donât you forget youâve got a family, kiddo.â
Amused, you chuckle and lightly nudge her shoulder. âI have to take his side on this one, Ellie. It would be nice for the four of us to have dinner together. You know, like we used to before Dina came into the picture?âÂ
âIâll stay home for dinner for the rest of the week,â Ellie swears, clasping her hands together. âPlease?â
Sighing in defeat, you step aside. âAlright, go ahead. Iâll hold you to your word though, alright?â
âThank you!â she grins as she breezes past you and out the door, slamming it shut behind her.
Shrugging out of your jacket, you hang it up in the hall closet and then head upstairs. âJoel? Are you up here?â Thereâs no answer. You pass by Rosemaryâs room first and peek inside only to find it empty. Furrowing a brow, you head a bit further down the hallway into yours and Joelâs bedroom. Thatâs when you hear his voice coming from the en suite bathroom.
There, you find him kneeling on the tile floor beside the tub, his back to you as he gives your daughter her bath. Hours ahead of her normal schedule, you realize.
Casually leaning against the doorframe, you cross your arms over your chest, and quietly watch them, your lips already curling into a smile.
âWhatâs this?â Joel asks her, holding up a yellow rubber duck. Itâs almost comical how small it looks in the palm of his large hand.
âDuckie!â Rosemary answers, enthusiastically.
He nods. âSâright, honey. Itâs a duckie. And what sound does a duckie make?â
Craning your neck, you catch a glimpse of her sweet little face as she stares at him, her expression a mingle of equal parts curiosity and confusion.
âCâmon now, babygirl,â Joel prompts her, handing her the toy. âMama taught you this already, remember?â
She looks at the rubber duck and thinks, thinks, thinks.Â
After a minute, Rosie gasps and shouts, âQuack!â
âSâright! Good job, Rosie,â he praises. Leaning over the edge of the tub, he presses a kiss into her damp, dark brown curls. âThatâs my girl. Youâre so smart.â
âQuack!â Giggling, Rosie lifts her chubby arms over her head, bringing them down into the water with all of her might, splashing Joel. She does it over and over again, soaking his face and the front of his denim shirt as she chants, âQuack, quack, quack!â
âAlright, alright, alright!â Joel laughs, shaking his head. He lifts an arm, wiping at his face with the sleeve of his shirt. âSâenough, my little duck. Daddy already had his shower today.â
Grinning, you saunter up behind him, and with a bit of protest from your back, you bend over to kiss the top of his head. You say in jest, âWithout me?â
âMama!â Rosie cries happily, reaching for you.
âHi baby, I missed you!â Leaning down further, you kiss her cheek, the soothing, calming scent of her lavender soap invading your senses. Drawing yourself back up to full height, you glance down at Joel with suspicion. âIs there any particular reason youâre giving her a bath so early today?â
You can tell heâs contemplating lying to you. That is, until your eyes flicker over to her muddy clothes, which lie in a heap next to the hamper.
Heâd forgotten to get rid of the evidence.
âJoel? What happened to my child?â
âWe, uh, we had a little problem earlier this afternoon,â Joel explains, his ears burning red. âShe was out in the backyard playin' with Ellie and she got into one of the mud puddles.â
âRosemary Miller!â you playfully scold her. Placing your hands on your hips, you ask,âIs that true, young lady? Did you get into a mud puddle?â
Rosie beams. âYeah!â
Rolling your eyes, you laugh and shake your head. âYou silly girl.â
âThought youâd be mad, darlinâ,â Joel admits, peering up at you in relief.
âJoel, all that I ask when I leave her alone with you and Ellie is that I come home and sheâs still in one piece,â you tease him.
Dipping his hand into the water, Joel splashes you, and of course, Rosemary decides to follow his lead and she does the same, bursting into another fit of giggles.
âGet her, Rosie, get her!â he encourages her.Â
âHey!â You jump backwards, almost tripping over your own feet. âCut it out! Youâre getting water everywhere!â
About an hour later, once both Rosie and the bathroom floor are dry, Joel puts her down for her long overdue afternoon nap. He heads back into the bedroom where youâre digging in a drawer for a pair of clean leggings and a sweatshirt. He comes up behind you, his arms snaking around your waist as he nuzzles his nose into your neck. He inhales deeply.Â
âEw, Joel, stop it! Iâm all filthy,â you say, wiggling to get away from him.Â
Joel holds you tighter. âMm, I love it when youâre filthy, baby,â he smirks. âCâmon. Sheâs out for at least an hour. Weâve got some time to ourselves.â
âIâm so sore,â you whine. âFrom riding a horse all day.â
His lips find the shell of your ear and he whispers, âToo sore to ride me, darlinâ?â
Biting back a tiny whimper, your head falls back onto his shoulder as wet heat pools between your thighs. He lightly nips at your pulse point, his teeth scraping your tender, delicate flesh.
âJesus,â you breathe when he presses into you. You feel him against the small of your backâheâs already hard. âCan you at least let me bathe first?â
Joel hums. âIâve got a better idea, baby.â Spinning you around, he reaches for the buttons of your shirt. âHowâs about we save some water and shower together?â
âThought you already had a shower today,â you remind him of what heâd said earlier.
He pushes your shirt off your shoulders and licks his lips. âIâm sure as hell up for another one.â

You may request A batboys reacting to the death of the reader
First time writing for Tim, so heâs probs ooc in this one.
Dick feels as though heâs failed you.
He tries to act like he was fine but he was far from it and everyone knew it as they stepped on eggshells with him during this time.
Dick would often find himself sat on the very rooftops where heâd take you on countless dates or just to star gaze and talk as though you were still with him.
It was his own way of comforting himself with your loss but that was never enough to stop the tears that fell from his eyes when he spotted a bright star heâs never seen before until now, and laughs humourlessly.
âI see youâve finally made your way amongst the stars huh sweetheart?â Heâd say as your star would twinkle in response, making him chuckle. âYouâre so beautiful, the brightest of your kind.â He adds sombrely as he wipes his eyes with the back of his hand as he felt his heart sing out for you, only to receive nothing in return.
Reality was often disappointing but with you it was a fairy tale.
Waking up to you was a dream within itself and getting to do mundane things with you before heading off to work was something that could only exist in a daydream.
He knew Hayley misses you as badly as he does with how heâd hear the poor dog whine and whimper at the door, as if waiting for you to walk through it and tackle her with kisses and love like you always did, only to get nothing for hours.
âI know, I miss them too.â He says against Hayleyâs fur as she whimpers and whines at the door. âI miss them so fucking much it hurts.â He adds as he allows himself to mourn for you alongside his dog long into the night.
Jason blames himself for not being fast enough or strong enough to keep you protected and safe.
The apartment you once shared with him that only recently had started to feel like home to him now felt cold and haunted with the ghost of you, so much so to the point he avoids it at all cost.
Nothing felt right without you, everything felt wrong and unjustified that he became more ruthless then before on patrols just to let off some steam and would come back from them more beaten and bruised then normal.
He didnât care, he couldnât feel anything anymore with how numb he became after loosing you.
Dick and Roy would stop by to see how he was doing but each visit was the same with Jason refusing his older brother and best friend entry as he held one of your plushies tightly against his chest. He knows they mean well but he just couldnât find it within himself to hear the same thing heâs heard from everyone else; It just felt disingenuous after a while and didnât feel as though people truly understood the impact that you had on him throughout your time together.
Jason would become more destructive with himself and going headfirst into danger without a second thought and damns his teammates for dragging him out by the scruff of his neck as he fights and kicks out of their hold. He doesnât want to be saved! He just wanted to be with you again, why couldnât they see that?!
After loosing you Jason becomes more prone to angry outbursts and often lets them out on the wrong person but he couldnât care less at this point, his favourite person was gone and he was left back where he was before you.
Lost and deeply afraid.
Tim would retreat from everyone and everything by cooping himself into his room, rarely to come out.
Heâd rather rot in his bed and on his phone, looking through all the photos youâve taken together and seeing just how happy you both were, all the while a pit in his stomach grew at the thought of all the plans youâve made but would never get to do.
He hated how easily he gave you his heart and hated it even more at just how easy it was to loose you that he wishes that he could stop himself from meeting you for the first time, just so he could selfishly save himself from the best moments of his life and the inevitable heartbreak heâd soon suffer.
Tim would do anything in his power to get you back but knew that it just wasnât possible.
He knew Jason was given life by the Lazarus pit but he wasnât willing to subject you to that even if he was held at gunpoint. Heâd rather you rest in peace than force you to live with the knowledge that you should technically be dead.
Tim would remain in his room, wondering about the what ifs and the what couldâve beens if you hadnât died. Would someone have taken your place? Was your death an unchangeable fixed point in time that was meant to happen?
He would only be reunited with you in his dreams where he has saved you and you had gotten to live out the rest of your life happily, rather then left for dead in an alleyway not too far from the place where you were originally going to meet up for date night.
Damian dedicated his life to getting revenge.
He had lost the light in his life, so why should he think his adversaries should live when you werenât even given the option?
There will be more bodies pilling up on the streets of Gotham at a faster rate than normal whenever Damian is on patrol, much to Bruceâs dismay.
His anger and grief was all consuming and that left little to no room for logic to make him stop and see what he was doing was no better than the thing that took you away.
Life was black and white for a long time for Damian and you were the colour.
You were the air he breathed and without you he was gasping.
He knew about the Lazarus pit in his grandfatherâs possession and its mythical properties and how it gave Jason a second chance at life. However he was at a cross roads on using it for his own selfish gain, on one hand he could have you back and everything would be fine again, but on the other hand you wouldnât be the version of you he fell in love withâŚ
Damian didnât know what to do. The grief, the anger, the sadnessâŚit was all too much for him. He felt as though he apart of him was missing and he would never get it back, it just wasnât possible.
Bruce feels as though nothing has changed since his parents death.
He may be older, faster, stronger and wiser but that didnât mean nothing in the face of death, and your death only proved that to be true as he held you in his arms, holding you close to his chest as he quietly sobs into your cold neck.
Much like Tim, Bruce doesnât take care of himself anymore and it was up to Alfred to make sure that he doesnât keep over and die unexpectedly.
âThey wouldnât want this for you sir.â Alfred would say as Bruce slams his hands down on the surface of his desk. âAnd what would you know that they want for me Alfred, y/nâs dead and itâs my fault.â He would bark and bare his teeth at the only father figure he had in his life, a father figure whom has seen this expression bore on the young masterâs face more times then he could count, but it still hurt him to see Bruce in pain and heartbreak.
âThey would want you to take care of yourself, sleep proper hours, eat full meals, shower, reach out to anyone,â Alfred began to walk towards Bruce and place a hand on his shoulder, where he could practically feel the unbridled anger and pain radiation through him that he kept under control. âThey wouldnât want you to wallow in pain alone, Gotham needs you.â
âAnd I needed them.â Bruce replied sharply, aggressively wiping his eyes with his hand as he looks over at a framed picture of you that he always kept nearby. âAll I wanted was them.â He adds softly this time as he looks at Alfred, lost and confused at what to do now that his anchor was gone. âI miss them so much Alfred.â
Alfred brings Bruce into his arms, much like he did when he lost his parents, when he lost Jason and now you, allowing him to burrow his face into the Butlerâs shoulder and softly sob into the fabric. Alfred felt his heart break even more as he rubbed Bruceâs back in an attempt of bringing him comfort. âI know master Bruce, I know, but youâd be doing their memory a great disservice by destroying yourself.â The older man started as he looked over at the framed picture of you and smiled soberly, you were a beacon to Bruce and Alfred wasnât afraid to say that he viewed you as his in law with how happy you made Bruce and that was all Alfred could ever want for him.
Now that you were gone, Alfred couldnât help but feel that the manor got just that little bit lonelier without you.

DEAR DIARY, DAY TWO OF HAVING A GIRLFRIENDâŚ.MIGHT DIE.
pairings ââ jackson!ellie williams x reader
warnings ââ tooth rotting fluff I fear
synopsis ââ you like Ellie, ellie likes you, she grows enough tit to ask you out and surprise! you said yes! yet somehow youâre more nervous around your girlfriend than when she was your crushâŚAGH!
authors note ââ did I go ghost for a year? yes. did I hear someone ask for more fluff/angst amidst freaktober on tumblr? also yes. I have come to provideđŤĄ
IMPORTANT note â if you wanna request an Ellie or Abby fic, just pm me! I think coming up with all the fics on my own is the reason I burnt out but send me any ideas you have that arenât smut bc I SUCK at writing that. Im also considering writing for arcane?? So yeah!
Cleaning horse shit isnât the sexiest job in the world, which is why you were eternally grateful your girlfriend had been assigned to go on patrol with Tommy this morning. Even the thought of âyour girlfriendâ sent shivers down your spine and a red hot blush on your cheeks. You sniffled and wiped your cheek against your shoulder, conveniently the jacket your girlfriend, Ellie, had given you last night.
Again, you fought back a smile as the words âmy girlfriend, ellieâ popped into your head. Just 48 hours ago you were accepting the fact that you might have to yearn for the brunette from afar for the rest of your lives, and today you were biting your lips trying not to look too happy shoveling actual shit.
âHey girlie!â Called out the man in charge, his big gut making itâs way into the shed before his head did as he leaned against his favorite horses stead. âYouâve been relieved. Tommy and Ellie are on their way back, just put the girls back where they belong and Iâll feed them, get it?â
âGot it.â
âGood.â He replied quickly before raising the pitch of his voice and cooing down at the large horse between his palms like a baby.
You snickered at his actions but couldnât resist the speedy pace you walked at as you grabbed your hanging bag and ran towards the shed bathroom. As soon as you locked the door behind you, you immediately shoved off your almost knee length rubber boots and changed into your cutest (aka least creased) boots. Despite not having any perfume like they did back then, you did make sure to grab a special bar of soap before you left your house and scrubbed the lavender scent into your arms like your life depended on it. Looking in the dirty mirror, you tried to vaguely make out whether or not you looked presentable. You tried lowering the v-cut shirt you were wearing but immediately shook your head and decided against it.
Just as you were in between hyping yourself up and finding an escape route, the guards on top shouted out, stating that the doors were opening.
You were a nervous wreck. Constantly pushing your hair in front of your forehead and then behind your ear while simultaneously walking towards the front of Jackson where your girlfriend would be making an entrance.
With the sun beaming behind her head and shining her brown locks into a beautiful golden color, you had to raise your hand above your eyes to protect yourself. Has she always been this beautiful or are the Godâs reminding me how perfect my girlfriend is?
âMillers! Youâre back early.â A nearby card player called out, kicking his feet back against a wooden barrel with a cigarette hanging half out of his mouth.
âYeah well, Ellie was killinâ them things left and right. Wouldâve thought she had somewhere to be.â Tommy joked, sliding off his horse and giving you the reigns with a smile. For a second, your heart skipped a beat, believing she mightâve told him on their journey.
âHey, if youâre a lousy shot, just say that.â Ellie teased him back with a shrug, remaining on her horse with no movement towards getting down. You looked up at her in confusion but as soon as your eyes connected, you immediately looked away, feeling your face burn.
âYeah, next time I go out on patrol I know who to call.â The man chuckled
âThank you, man.â Tommy beamed
âNot you, dipshit.â
You and Ellie let out a surprised cackle, and while you tried covering yours up with a cough as Tommy glared in your direction, Ellie couldnât hold back her hearty laugh. She slapped her thigh and wiped an invisible tear from her eye as Tommy rambled on. While her uncle turned his anger to the card player, she caught your eye and motioned her head towards the stables.
âLead the way.â
You nodded and lowered your gaze again, mentally freaking out as you guided Tommyâs horse back into her stable with Ellie following close behind on her own. Whilst you removed her gear gently, you could hear the clanging of Ellie following suit behind you. And when she finished, she simply watched you.
âYouâre so gentle with them.â You jumped at her words, not expecting her to be so close as she leaned against the entrance of the stable. âSorry, didnât mean to scare you.â She chuckled lightly.
âNo, youâre good I, uh, I have thisâŚidea that theyâre so on edge from being outside that they canât really tell when itâs time to relax and when itâs time to work. So I just try to make the transition easier, you know? No loud noises, extra treats, stuff like that..â You answered, giving the olâ girl a nice rub on her sides.
Ellie hummed and leaned her body backwards, looking both ways to see if anyone was around before stepping into the stable you were in. Her steps were slow as she approached you and you resisted the urge to step away, not for any reason besides you literally thought you might combust being this close to her.
She stood in front of you, eyes staring deeply into yours while her hands remained at her sides. âIâve been thinking about you all morning.â She said in a low voice.
âReally?â
âOf course.â Her head lowered to find your hands, she clasped both of your hands in both of hers as she admired you. âHow could I not?â
Your mind was screaming, blaring alarms, and throwing burning papers in the air as the people in your head attempted to regulateâŚwell everything.
You let out an airy chuckle and looked down bashfully. âWell, youâre lucky you didnât see me an hour before.â She gave you a confused look, so you continued. âI was cleaning up after the horses.â
Ellie looked up at the ceiling and thought about the vagueness of your words before a smile grew on her cheeks. She lifted her hand to cup her cheek to look her in the eye. âI think you wouldâve looked beautiful anyway.â
âShoveling horse shit?â You snorted
She shrugged. âAs long as it doesnât get in your mouth, no harm, no foul, right?â
âEwww!â You whined as Ellie laughed at your reaction. You shivered at the thought. âToo early.â
âOkay, okay, I get it.â She surrendered, admiring your entire face for a minute before looking behind her quickly. âHeyâŚâ she whispered, almost nervous in a way.
âHey.â
She moved closer to you, reaching up to stroke your cheek and hoping you wouldnât notice the way her hand shook the entire way up. âCan I get a kiss?â
Your heart leaped. Your vocal chords were nowhere to found, so you attempted a simple nod. But Ellie smiled at you and shook her head.
âCan I hear you say it?â
You gulped. âPlease kiss me, Ellie.â
With a wide smile, she leaned in and connected your lips so gently, you felt like you were being kissed by a fairy. She let you both grow comfortable in the kiss before pulling away lightly, giving you the same chance, and leaning in once more when you chased after her lips. The two of you remained in a tight embrace, neither pushing the others boundary too much but putting enough pressure to know she were there. For a minute, you forgot where you were.
âHey girlie!â A voice boomed
The two of you pulled away in shock, looking between each other before you quickly looked around at your surroundings and hurriedly threw a brown bag in Ellieâs direction. She caught it in both arms before spinning around to face the burly old man who sauntered over.
âWilliams. What are you doing in my shed?â He questioned her.
You popped out from the other side of the horse and patted her side. âSorry, sir. She wanted to give the girls some treats for their hard work out there.â
He looked between you two suspiciously before crossing his arms over his chest and staring at Ellie with a look you couldnât put your finger on. âSo youâre the one whoâs been sneaking my girls extra snacks, eh?â
Ellieâs mouth opened and closed for a second before sighing and handing him the bag as if sheâd been caught. âYep, itâs me. Sorry, man.â
He sucked his teeth and snatched the bag out of her hand, reaching inside to grab a red apple and bite into it. âYouâre lucky youâve saved my ass more times than I can count, Williams.â He pointed at her and then to you. âAnd you, stop beinâ so damn nice. Yâall are gonna fatten my horses up. Now, get.â
You and Ellie swiftly made your way out of the horse shed, walking side by side inconspicuously throughout Jackson. Your hands occasionally bumped each other and you both resisted the urge to grab it. Ellie, because she didnât want her business out to the whole world, and you, because your hands were probably dripping from how sweaty they felt.
Youâd never felt this nervous around anyone. The secrecy of your relationship made it all the more wild. And yeah, it would be nice for everyone to know that Ellie is yours.
Itâs also just nice being able to tell yourself that Ellie fucking Williams is your girlfriend.

Synopsis: After losing so much, Spider-woman learns to just keep moving. Only for her to end up somewhere far from home. Her first agenda is figuring out where she is, and how to get back. The only problem is that she ended up somewhere fictional (to her). Playing hero with Batman was not in her bingo cards this year. Hopefully she will be able to make it back home before she catches unwanted attention.
Masterlist: Prev; Next;
Chapter 5 - No Time to Waste
Itâs been a week and a half since the last power surge incident and so far everything was quiet. Too quiet for Batmanâs liking. It definitely increased his paranoia which in turn causes him to be extra moody. The culprit? Whoever was behind the power surge in the Narrows. They became an anomaly to Gotham. Unwanted, an eyesore in the eyes of Batman.
And the issue is, there hasnât been any news at all. No sightings, no suspects, nothing. Bruce felt challenged in a way. Something is in Gotham, living in his city and he feels like heâs still so far from discovering who or what it is. For the world's greatest detective is having a hard time solving this case. How frustrating.
With no news of another quantum breach, big or small, nothing. Itâs frustrating. Whatâs even more of a headache about this unsolved case, is another thing that has come to his attention- thanks Jim.
Bruce started hearing more reports of a new âvigilanteâ. But there are no pictures, no camera footage, no evidence, just testimonies, occasional sightings and witnesses. Nothing concrete, nothing solid, just no proof. So frustrating.
And there is a pattern.
What he does know is that they are always quick and efficient, never staying too long, leaving once or before the police arrive, and itâs always low level crooks like muggers or thiefs. Respectful and polite (from those they saved) and they mostly keep to the shadows of the night.
Whoever this new problem is, is trying to stay hidden and Batman doesnât like that at all. Not. One. Bit.Â
Despite the Narrows being Dukeâs territory, he is just one person who patrols in the daytime, so some of his sons and daughter help patrol at night. But it seems this newcomer has incredible luck and scurries off everytime they are even close to their location.
But this doesnât mean Batman will just let it go, oh no. Of course not silly, heâs going to find this new vigilante and see what they are about. Heâs going to evaluate them, judge them, and all it takes is one mess up. Just one and he will make sure they are locked up in Arkham.
A bit extreme, possibly. But he will take no chances, not when it comes to the safety of his city. Gotham is his to protect and defend, heâs keeping many eyes out for this intruder. Watch your back.
âSorry to interrupt your brooding hour B, but I have something I think you want to know. Also you have a message from Commissioner Gordon.â A new voice spoke through his comms.
âOn my way.â He replied.
âNo, I think itâs best you go with-â
âI am fully capable of handling it myself just fine. I donât require fatherâs assistance.â a third voice snapped. âIâm here with Kent, weâre fine Drake.â And the line was turned off.
âExplain.â Batman demanded.
âSo you seeâŚâ
-
After the failed attempt at contacting Miguel, you spent a couple of all nighters in advancing your beacon. This time, it would require even more energy but now it wonât cause a potential blackout. But it will notify the bats of your location like last time.
You know you have to be extra fucking careful this time. You might have gotten lucky those days ago in not getting caught, but you know your luck is shit anyways and Batman is one paranoid mother fucker. Him and his wards.
You have to be very cautious in where you go and how you will do this. This new connector is a bit more sturdier than the lightweight one you made before, but this time it also wonât require you to be stuck in one place. Actually, your signal will ping in more than one location. It will bounce off the cell towers and throw a fake location.Â
This will certainly tip the scales to your favor in avoidance of detection. Now, you wonât have to rely on your (shit) spider luck!Â
All you have to do is to connect it to a phone or computer, and connect that to any service in the area and manually set it off- which you can easily hack. There is only one tiny itty bitty problem. Guessed it yet? No? Well itâs simple, the only problem is- YOU DONâT HAVE A PHONE.
You could theoretically use the library computer but with civilians around you is a big major no. Youâre also pretty sure the library closes at like 8 or something.
No worries. You have a solution for this baby problem. Is it build one yourself? Pfft- fuck no. You donât have time to build a phone and even less for a computer, you still have to tweak your god damn watch for fuck sake. So, youâre just going to buy one.
And with what money- I hear you ask. Simple. Youâre going to make some. Time to become Spider-woman again.
Only until you have enough for a decent phone- you said. Itâll be easy- you said. Until you were proven wrong.
You spent two days hunting and defeating crooks, webbing the worst ones up, while the not so bad but are making shitty choices were let go (with the promise of hunting them down should they go back to doing bad stuff). Some advice here and there, pickpocketing criminalâs money, you know, the usual shabang.
Canât forget youâre avoiding all cameras so as to not give yourself away. Though you almost got caught by the police once, haha. You never stick around long enough to get spotted by the bats or the cops.
Until one night, dressed as a normal civilian, you were coming back from a shelter, turning a corner and you were immediately surrounded by a group of thugs wanting to rob you. You literally have nothing, so the only thing they would be robbing is your backpack with extra clothes and your suit. And maybe like two granola bars.
You tried to charm your way out of this situation because first of all, youre fucking tired, two, you donât have time for baby shit, and three, youâre about to start tweaking. Of course the five men didnât take your sarcastic remarks lightly and decided that their knives would do the talking.
So you beat them up. All five of them. 60 seconds was all it took. So to recompense wasting a minute of your time, you loot their cash discreetly.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) a well dressed man popped out of nowhere, getting close to you and you warned him you would break his wrist if he touched you- he still came but didnât touch you. Holding out a black card he presented it to your face.
âYou fight well, kid. If you want to make money fast, real money, call me and go here.â
âUm, Iâm not a k-â
âYouâll make hundreds.â He cut you off. Rude. âAnd if you impress the boss like you did me, you can make more.â
Spider luck?
Oh well that got your attention. Eyes narrowed. âFast money, how?â
âDid no one ever teach ya about âstranger dangerâ? Itâs a fight club, if you will. A tournament if youâre interested.â
Spider luck.
After pondering it for a quick second, here you are, getting a card with a free invite to a ring, probably filled with big, crazy, and most likely wanted criminals, and you get paid to beat them up? Sign me the fuck up. âIâm very interested.â you nod.
The man gave a crooked smile. âPerfect. Iâll see you tomorrow, kid.â
âIâm not-â The man walked away and inside a white limo car. Fuck you.
So you went the next day. Making sure you wore your normal clothes, just sweatpants, a sweatshirt, and your face mask, you called the guy.
Meeting him was uninteresting, conversations were nothing exciting, just asking you your fighting style, can you take on a big guy, and whatnot.Â
Upon entering the place (behind a well known bar) you were led to a ring, two fighters going at it. You watched how one was clearly more experienced than the other, while the other guy was battered and bleeding but still fighting. Blood spraying everywhere with every hit until he hit the ground cold.
It certainly is a sight.
It was that very day that you had your very first fight.
Stepping into the ring with no prep, no bandages, no helmet, nothing, this was a raw fight through and through, you were immediately booed and laughed at. Tough crowd.
Of course you were not going against a stereotypical big muscular guy that looks like he could bench press a tank. No, in fact you were against a young military deserter as your first opponent. Scars and all. Across his neck laid an identification tag (also known as dog tag). Christopher Conner.
The man in front of you sneered, laughing at you. âNo way they sent me a kid. I will break all your bones. Donât start crying too soon.â he cooed.
He taunted you and the crowd loved it. You, on the other hand, were pretty bored and unimpressed.Â
âIâm not a kidâŚâ you huffed behind your face mask.
What was able to be seen on your face must have told him that because he didnât like being ignored.Â
So he swung, a clear hit to be a knock out. You swerve.
This time he kicked, you parried.
He did not like that. Soon a game ensued. Hit attacking and you either blocking or dodging. You didnât even need your spider sense, you got this in the bag, honestly this was quite sad. The crowd went from booing you to insulting Christopher.
âWhat the fuck man?!â
âHit the kid!â
âMy moneyâs riding on you dickface!â
âDonât you dare lose motherfucker, or Iâll shoot you!â
It seems their insults were getting to the man. You on the other hand kinda started to feel bad.
âStand still you fucker!â Christopher growled, throwing punches.
You scoffed, âMy aunt throws faster punches than you Chris.â You can almost taste the bloodlust seeping from his pores. âHey man, it's been three minutes, surely you can end this, right?â
Chrisâs jaw clenched in anger. He was about to explode. A voice called out your name.
âNada! Stop wasting time and finish it kid. Or you wonât get paid.â What? What a scam! Youâre trying to entertain yourself too yâknow, guess this will be a way to relieve stress.
Facing the military man you didnât give him a second to process when you blew him a kiss and then a fist made contact with his chin, effectively knocking him out the second his back hit the ring walls. âIâm not a kid.â
The crowd was silent before chaos broke. Half the crowd booed and threatened the fallen man, while the other half started cheering.
With how unsatisfied most people were, you had to fight three more times. Each time, you won, with no scratches on you (you did pretend to get hit at times for realism). Each victory secures you cheers and hype.
By the end of your last fight, it was dark out and you were walked off by the same man that brought you here. âGood job kid. I know you were the right call.â
âIâm not-â A thick envelope was thrown. Catching it, you opened it up to find money, lots of money. âWoah.â
The man in the suit chuckled. âLike it? You can make more the more you win.â
Still entrance by the stack of green you nodded. âSame time tomorrow?â
âSame time.â The man walked off and you stared at the money.
âBooyah baby!â
You bought a phone the next morning.
And so itâs been five days since then. You werenât in a desperate need for money anymore, so you cut your fights down from five to two a day. You still needed time to continue fixing your beacon. Spider-woman sightings have also significantly decreased the more you noticed the increase in security.
You were not taking any chances.
Walking towards the somewhat empty bar, you greeted the bouncer and headed inside to an âemployees onlyâ door to meet the guy in the suit. He did tell you his name, but you call him âSuitâ in your head regardless.Â
âHey there Nada,â He hears a sigh from behind the mask. âListen, kid, youâre one of my best fighters, but I need you to lay low for a while. Here.â
Catching a burner phone you tilt your head for an explanation, pocketing it. âCops?â
âWorse.â he sighs, slicking his hair back. âBats.â
Fucking spider luck.
Like a bucket of ice and cold water was dumped on you, blood turning cold. You froze in terror. You should have guessed that a hidden fighting ring would not be kept hidden for long. The criminals that you fought and were downright nasty, you made sure they were caught outside and far away from this location.Â
And it was random from a list you composed. Enough to make sure you werenât a suspect. But fuck now you have to erase your presense here. Youâre a nobody, Nada, nothing. Guess it really is time to lay lower than low, like a ghost. âI wonât come back then.â Voice serious and cold.
He laughed, pulling out an envelope from his suit's inner pocket. âSâthat so?â Handing it out for you to take, his eyes burn into yours. âThen Iâll just have ta hunt you down, kid.â
Taking the envelope (it felt thicker and heavier than usual) and placing it in your pocket you chuckled, cold, fake, calculating. âTry. Iâm good at hiding.â Walking away, hands in pocket, feeling both the envelope and the burner phone, turning your body to avoid bumping into a familiar guy speed walking in. âIâm not a kidâŚâ you mumbled to yourself.
You didnât bother glancing at the man you dubbed âSuitâ, real name Jacob Sullivan Jones. It seems itâs time for JSJ to have a run in with the Gotham City Police Department.Â
It is truly fortunate that Jacob doesnât know where you're staying. Although he might not know about the warehouse inside the junkyard, he does know you are not a resident with no permanent home. He had stalked you for a bit after the first meeting (the bouncer was so easy to spot really), believing youâre homeless, alone, and a nobody (someone who nobody would miss or look for). Youâre using that (somewhat of a mis)information to your advantage.
Leaving the desolate bar, thoughts consumed by the written list of criminals you drafted and plan to anonymously give it to the GCPD. How you got the other criminals caught was simple, you always used a payphone and gave anonymous tips. That wonât work here. At least not fully. Knowing the corruption, maybe you should hand it to the one of the cops you know isnât corrupt.
Now, do you hack the police and email it? Print it/fax it and send it? Or hand it directly but as spider-woman? Well for starters, the second option is garbage because if the right person doesnât see it first, it will just get covered up. Hacking into the GCPD and emailing it directly doesnât sound like a bad idea, the only issue is, if they decided to forward that information to the bats, youâre fucked because then you know theyâll dig in and somehow find out about you.
It seems like going in as Spider-woman is the best bet, but then again, the bats are real close, too close for comfort. Should you take the risk? But if you donât turn these criminals in, it will stay in your consciousness of letting innocents down. Guess you have to suck it up and do it then.
âThis sucksâ you mumbled, deep in thought.Â
Suddenly you felt your body freeze. Feeling your spider sense go haywire, you looked up and hard swerved to the side, avoiding bumping into a stranger.
It seemed that your sudden change in direction caught the strangerâs attention and the person next to him, both heads snapped towards you.
Hands out of pocket awkwardly waving in embarrassment. âIâm so sorry!â Taking a look at the one you almost bumped into, he is tall, with black hair and vibrant blue eyes.
Taking note of your embarrassment the stranger chuckles, looking into your eyes, âNo worries! Nice reflexes though!â
The strangerâs partner scowled in your direction and you could feel his eyes burning you alive. âWatch where you walk, you buffoon.â Venom.
âDonât be rude, Dame.â
âDonât call me that. We donât have time for this tomfoolery.â
Alrighty then, guess itâs time to fuck off. âYes, thank you- again, so sorry.â You donât even spare the other guy a glance, quickly scurrying off. Your spider sense hasnât shut off and you donât like where this is going. âGood bye.â
âHey wait a minute!â
âWhat are you doing Kent? Our priority is there.â
Not turning back, you quickened to a brisk walk away from this nauseating area. This whole goddamn experience is so nauseating. You just wanted to go home. Was that soooooo much to ask? Regardless, you did not want to know what those strangers wanted, and you were taught âstranger dangerâ and it certainly applied here.
After a certain distance later, your senses dulled into a small buzz as you turned a corner and entered the public library. Taking your usual empty seat, you let out a deep sigh. This was what you were used to since coming into this world. Since being yoinked from another dimension and plopped in this universe, your senses never really shut off. It was like everything in this world was a danger, and it only spiked when reacting to blood lust, danger of a certain radius, and people who are incredibly strong.Â
Recalling that one stranger, who looked too innocent enough for it to be bloodlust, just that their presence caught you so off guard. But your senses screamed at you, and it terrified you to an extent. This is why you can never really relax being here, even when youâre alone in the warehouse, you just feel so out of place, and in danger constantly. It was beginning to eat you up honestly.
You miss your innocent youthful days. God you sound old. But you really do miss having a home to go back to. A home where once you step inside, itâs warm, and two people would always greet you like a warm embrace.
Now itâs cold and desolate, barely anything inside, empty and lonely.
But now, you canât even go there anymore. Even if it was painful to live in the same home that had more members, then reduced to just you, it was still home.Â
You canât even go home.
Remembering the words Jacob Sullivan Jones spoke to you earlier, you fish out the envelope. Taking note of the weight, it was decided to open it and find more than usual.
Picking up a small zip-lock bag, your eyes widened. It was an ID, an ID and a passport. Just what the fuck was Jacob going to do with giving you this? Why did he make this for you? What were his plans? No, you canât think about that. This is a blessing for sure, and youâll take it- but, you have to put Jacob in prison. Now.
This is a gift and you know that with criminals, all gifts are never for free. This is a âyou owe meâ gift. âFuck, this sucks.â You just want a moment of peace.
Think, you have to think. Now you have an identification, but, you donât know if youâre in the system, since once again, incase you forgot, you donât fucking exist here. Whatever Jacob was thinking, you definitely donât want a part of it. Youâre going to put a stop to this now.
Though, recalling the two strangers earlier, you donât bother with the rude one of the two, more focused on the one with blue eyes. Something about him just stuck out to you. He looked vaguely familiar.
Okay, letâs take this from the top. You felt a strong sense of precaution, thus causing your spider sense to alert you. Your sense only went away when you were a considerable distance away from those two, so you know itâs about the strangers. Bases covered, perfect. Whatâs next?
You only really focused on the one who you almost touched, so letâs continue from there. He is tall, a welldefine body, black hair, and vibrant blue eyes. Thatâs all you remember seeing now for what you heard. His friend/partner/acquaintance/fellow party member said âKentâ, this could be his name or surname but the name âKentâ makes your throat clogged. You only know of another Kent and itâs a superhero.
It couldnât beâŚright?Â
Turning the computer on, you started typing away, fingers trembling, heart thumping loudly, head spinning, and body sweating. Please, please, please, be wrong. You prayed.
The window search lands on a somewhat recent news. Superman and Superboy save hundreds during bridge collapse! By Lois Lane Kent.
In the photo, on the front page was a scene, both Superman and Superboy. The older one was holding a piece of a bridge while the other younger one was using his heat vision. This was Supermanâs son. And you came into contact with him.
You were royally fucking screwed.
Fuck- fuck! No, no nono!Â
All the anxiety you tried to lock away came like a tsunami. You were reminded of how small you are in this world. How easy it is to find trouble even without looking. You wanted no part in this world but it seems the gods wanted to fuck you over and over again.Â
And, as much as you wanted to curse out the Spot for yeeting you far faaaaaaar from your universe, you only blame yourself for latching onto him and getting lost on the way to his next destination.
God this sucks! You wanted to curl up and cry, but you canât. Youâre a big girl and so, youâll deal with this fuckery later. After all, your best trait was putting your issues to the side and focusing on the bigger picture. This- meeting Supermanâs son can wait. After all, you havenât run into any bats besides Signal- yes you researched him when you had free time (you only knew of him but not really who he was), so for now, your spider luck has been blessing you thus far.
You need to focus on the bigger picture, getting Jacob and the other criminals caught.
Getting to work, you begin to type away your list that you memorized, the location of the bar, the owner of the bar was still a mystery but the one who runs it is Jacob, schedule of the bouncer shifts, and the names and alias of those who you encountered as well as the situation of misguided teens. You type it all, making sure to keep your real and fake identity out, you did put in your alias Nada, as a picked up street kid. Enough for it to be a âmisguidedâ teen situation but not enough to catch someoneâs attention unless they were looking for it.
Now that you know you ran into Clark Kentâs son (a deduction), you know you canât risk encountering him as spider-woman. Knowing that Superman can (somehow) memorize and identify someone based on their heart beat or whatever, so fuck no are you going to parade as spider-woman any time soon.
You swear to god that you will do everything you can to avoid meeting them in both their civilian personas and alter egos.
Calming yourself, you get ready to hack the GCPD, and leave a message.
âThey know. Scatter.âÂ
It hits you. The epiphany of why Jacob had an ID and passport made for you. They were moving locations. Abandoning fort, and taking anyone who they wanted. Basically a trafficking ring for those who werenât onboard, and a new opportunity for those who they saw potential in.Â
Shit, you should have stopped this when Jacob found you, but you didnât know anything then. Now it could be too late. But Jacob did say to lay low, so theyâre mostly biding their time. Probably erasing, hiding, and misplacing real and fake evidence.
They need to get exposed now, âstrike while the iron is hotâ as the saying goes.Â
It seems like itâs time to meet the commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department, James âJimâ Gordon, as Spider-woman. How funâŚÂ
Way to contratic your fucking promise so soon. Well, at least itâs a civilian and not a hero/vigilante. âThis fucking sucks.â
-
Damian scoffed when Tim wanted to force his father the Batman into his lead. Itâs not that he doesnât want his father, itâs just this is an undercover sort of situation. He got a lead when he went to interrogate a pathetic military criminal. He can handle this mission on his own.
âNo, I think itâs best you go with-â
âI am fully capable of handling it myself just fine. I donât require fatherâs assistance.â Damian heard Jon chuckle, most likely overhearing this conversation with his super hearing. What a nuisance. Â âIâm here with Kent, weâre fine Drake.â And the line was turned off.
âWell that was something. So, whatâs the plan that you didnât want Lizzie to be involved in?â
âFocus, Jon.â Damian explained their stakeout first, before going to don their costumes. Deep in their conversation, Damian caught sight of one of the suspects speed walking past them. He brings this to Jonâs attention. âIt's him, the mercenary Christopher Conner.â
âOkay, so this bar is the place. Let me check real quick.â Using his vision, Jonâs eyebrow furrows. âNext door is styled like a wrestling ring, only two exits. From here and from an office. This is the place.â
âThen weâll change and apprehend the criminal. Watch and hear what he is saying.â Jon followed Damianâs lead when someone jumped out of his way like he was burning them, causing Damian to also turn his head.
âIâm so sorry!â Despite the mask covering their mouth, their voice of this buffoon sounded androgynous, their clothes didnât help to differentiate a gender either. But what he can see were this strangerâs eyes, and he canât look away.
It seems neither can Jon as he chuckles and waves off the encounter. âNo worries! Nice reflexes though!â Jon makes it very obvious heâs staring hard.
Just what is it about this total insignificant stranger that caught Damianâs undivided attention? From what he can see, they look normal (canât really tell with that face mask though), but there is just something that has him unable to take his eyes off of them.
Jon has the same issue, and Damian narrowed his eyes in suspicion and scowls. âWatch where you walk, you buffoon.âÂ
Jon, without breaking eye contact, scolds Damina. âDonât be rude, Dame.â
Snapping out of this trance, he snaps back,â Donât call me that.â Thatâs right, they are on a mission, no distractions allowed. âWe donât have time for this tomfoolery.â
Jon looks at Damian, as he too, regains his focus, eyes staring into each other as if communicating, he nods. They can come back to this after they finish their assignment.Â
âYes, thank you- again, so sorry. Good bye.â The stranger quickly scurried off.
Caught off guard Jon impulsively extended his arm out to grab their shoulder. âHey wait a minute!âÂ
Damian acted faster, grabbing Jonâs arm. âWhat are you doing Kent? Our priority is there.â Pointing towards the bar with his head. This isnât good, theyâre getting sidetracked.
Jon didnât turn to look at Damian, no he was still staring at the stranger. âI just wanted to askâŚâ He trailed off as he strained his ears, focusing on their heartbeat, their breathing patterns, anything he could to commit to memory. âFor their name.â
Damian, too, side glanced at the retreating figure, dissecting the way they moved, their tensed shoulders, everything until they were out of sight.
Jon wanted to ask their name. Was that weird? Their situation didnât require him to ask their name. How would he even go about it, âSorry for almost bumping into you, hey can I ask for your name?â Yea, no.
âDamian, I-â Jon began before getting caught off.
âI know. Weâll deal with that later,â His eyes narrow, glancing at the bar. âFocus.â But he too was entranced. But he was much better at pushing that to the side, but he knows he wonât be able to hold it off for now. The best he can do is rein in Jonâs attention to the assignment.
Moving to a cafe nearby with a good view of the barâs entrance, they ordered some drinks. This wasnât Damians idea but heâll let Jon have his way for cooperating.
Jon nodded, getting back into focus, using his super hearing to overhear the conversation inside the bar.
His stomach tingles at the thought of asking the stranger for their name.
Hand discreetly on his year Damian spoke, âDrake, look into the time of now and send it over to me.â
âHey- wait-â Tim was caught off guard, âWhatâs this about? I thought you didnât ârequire assistanceâ for this.â He teased.Â
âI donât.â He shut the comms off. Now, back to work. âWhatâs going on Jon?â
âThis is our guy. Heâs getting assigned to deliver a package. This is serious. Heâs upset.â
Damian clicked his tongue. âTt. Follow.â
Jon tunes into the conversation again.
âThe police arenât the issue. Itâs the costumes that have been spotted close. We already lost a couple of our men to the cops.â
âAnd you donât think thatâs suspicious? We have a traitor!â
âYou donât think I donât know that, Chris? Ever since Sebastian was caught by the fucking commissioner, the others have been getting caught like flies here in Gotham. Heâs spilling, so I need to silence him.âÂ
âThe usual?â
âNo, not you this time. Weâre leaving so I need you to focus on one more thing.â
âIs it about them, the one you want to recruit?â
âYes, I want them-â a phone rang interrupting the conversation. âItâs the boss. Dismissed, Iâll send ya the rest later.â
âUnderstood sir. Iâll deliver the packages tonight.â The mercenary walked off, no longer as upset as earlier.
Jon, processing the information, becomes visibly upset. âTheyâre recruiting, and based on the conversation, it's the runaway and homeless teens that have been reported by the shelters. This is bigger than just Gotham. I think theyâre leaving, moving somewhere else.â
âLetâs follow.â Damianâs attention was caught at the mercenary leaving the bar. âThere.â
âThe guy he was talking to said he would âsend the rest laterâ, I think it will be on his phone.â Jon informed.
Damian absorbed the information. âWeâll follow and catch him red handed.â
âWhat about âthe packageâ?â Jon questioned.
âWhat about them? Iâll forward the intel to the rest. We focus on this guy. The evidence on his phone is all we need.â
âDame, I canât with good conscience leave those vulnerable kids on their own.â Stressed Jon.
âAnd weâre not. The others will take care of it.â Damian replied. âWhen we apprehend the mercenary, acquire the intel, we go after this guy while the others detain their accomplices and rescue the runaways. They will all fall tonight, Jon, so focus.â
Jonathan Kent wanted to bite back, but he knows Damian ran this plan at least three times before bringing him along. Damian is just that strategic. And he places his full trust in him, god does this leave him unsatisfied. He knows those kids are trapped somewhere and if taking this mercenary and the manager from the bar out gets them safe faster, then he will do as he is told.
Something just feels out of place, this has been too easy so far. âAlright, heâs heading north.â
Damian nods, slipping away to change into his suit.
As if connected, Damian as well feels like things have been progressing smoothly. And when it comes to crimes committed in Gotham, when things are going good, then something isnât right.
Ever since the first the GCPD have been arresting some low and decent levels of this new crime syndicate, news of some human trafficking organizations have been slowly getting uncovered as if by overnight. It started around five days ago, low level members were caught, and just two days ago, a higher member was arrested.
Ever since his father the Batman (he tagged along) interrogated him, he spilled like a waterfall. Since they have been cracking down on the case, they know this criminal organization is trying to get on the levels of Black Mask or The Penguin.
The only issue is, this was only exclusive to Gotham, now based on what Jon relay to him, this is just a small base, there are others. He refuses to let this go on any further. Not to his city, or his people. Yet, there is this itch in the back of his head. These captures were by far too easy, and these people arenât sloppy. No, they had been operating for some time, and yet they were getting caught like moths to a flame due to anonymous tips being called in. Someone out there is deliberately getting these scumbags caught.
And Batman believes it could possibly have a connection to the other pressing issue thatâs consuming his thought. There has to be a connection to the quantum disturbance from a little over a week ago. Itâs just too coincidental for it not to be.Â
Something is happening in Gotham, and he will get to the bottom of this.
-
You know, people say to plan for everything, thus making Batman a force to be reckoned with since he is the master of having contingency plans and backup plans for those backup plans. And yet, here you are, with a plan and life just wants to fuck you over and expects you to just deal with it.
No.
After coming up with spider-woman handing the commissioner Jim Gordon a list of criminals and misguided teens, you just needed to go and change. But here you are, running into a situation if you will.Â
You see, after running away from Superman's son, and a printed list folded neatly in your pocket as you head âhomeâ, you started to feel the icky sensation of being watched. Years of experience and knowing how not to tip off that you know, you head away from your place of operations and head up north.Â
Though despite not giving signs of how utterly fucking tense and anxious you are, you rationalize that it can not be any of the birds because you havenât done anything suspicious. That, and the fact that your spider sense isnât screaming at you of danger so for now, thatâs calming you down.
On the other hand, you still have no clue who is following you. It was like, thirty minutes since running into the super, and no call from the burner phone. This whole âbeing followedâ is a fucking nuisance, putting a wrench in your plans.Â
The only good thing is that, since you are technically surrounded by civilians walking about, they canât really do anything to you, unless they want to cause panic amongst the innocents. Though, that wouldnât stop someone from shooting you if they wanted you dead.Â
Still, regardless if you are wanted dead (highly unlikely) or alive (for whatever reason) you donât want to lead innocent civilians into this, so away you go! Informing Jim Gordon can wait (not it canât), youâll lose your pursuer and then catch them!
Turning a corner, into alleyways, zig zagging, you hear their footsteps pick up. Persistent.
While running away, you form theories. We crossed out the batsonas, you havenât done or got caught with anything to be on their radar afterall, it canât be a random crook because for one, you look poor too, and second, theyâre chasing you for a reason. Another idea was maybe it has something to do with Jacob. But that doesnât make much sense since you just got a burner phone.Â
Something just isnât adding up.Â
Your spider sense spiked as you turned down a corner. Despite this, you kept going straight, ready to take on whoever was going to appear in front of you.Â
With a very good distance between you and your pursuer you took this chance to discard your mask and sweatshirt (thank god for having a tank top) ontop of a parked motorcycle as you turned another corner, there stood a man near the end of the alleyway, tall and (once again) wellbuilt, with black hair just standing there, phone in hand.
Quickly you jogged towards him (he glanced your way) and grabbed his arm, startling him. âSorry, please play along!â you whispered and pulled him.
The stranger only had one second to figure out what was happening. In that split second though, he heard a plea for help. The next thing he knew, he had his free hand on the wall above your head while the other one was moved to your waist. Back towards the wall and having his big frame engulf yours, you let his arm go and wrapped them around his neck, pulling him towards your face.Â
It's only then that you take in his appearance, handsome from what you can see, and your heart dropped. âIâm being followed,â you muttered, noticing the strangerâs eyes roam your face before settling on your eyes. âI donât know who they are.â
The man in front of you nodded, kept in place as footsteps hastily turned the corner, running past the both of you. Your body tensed up watching the hooded figure stop at the end of the alleyway. Taking the chance to observe the guy, he pulled out a phone while looking both ways before exiting from your view.
While you were distracted the stranger in front of you pulled back, making your release your hold. He was quiet. âOnce again, Iâm so sorry! Thank you!â You nervously backed away, in the opposite direction your pursuer went.
He grunted, watching you walk back away. He opened his mouth to speak but the phone in his hand began to ring. He glanced down at the caller before looking back up.Â
You were already gone, picking up your sweatshirt and mask, donning them on and running away. Your heart was pounding so loud, it rang in your ear. That was Jason mother fucking Todd. You ran into the Red Hood. What the fuck was he doing in the Narrows?!
Recalling the words Jacob spoke earlier, it echoed through your head. âBats.â Thatâs right. The fucking bats are intown, and this was too close for comfort. This sucks balls!
âFocus, focus. Officer Gordon, here I come.â To the junkyard you go.
-
Jason watched the very pretty woman leave him with his thoughts. Getting pulled into caging someone against a back alley wall was not in his cards today, but with Gotham, one always has to expect the unexpected.Â
Speaking of the unexpected, he let himself momentarily get distracted recalling the bold stranger from earlier. Something about this woman, rendered him quiet. But at the same time, he took note of just how anxious she was. Tensed body, eyebrows furrowed, worried expression, scared eyes, and over all the way she held onto him while losing her pursuer. He wondered just what kind of trouble found her. It seems crime really doesnât stop during the daylight.
He committed her face to memory, and will touch upon her situation once he finished his current assignment.Â
âYou still there?â the voice spoke from his phone.
âYea, Iâm still here. Iâm in the Narrows, following the lead.â
âGood, while Damian follows the mercenary, you got the manager. Iâm seeing some suspicious moments. Turn on your commlink, Bruce is already moody as he is.â
âWhen isnât he like that.â Jason rolled his eyes as he walked back to his bike that he parked further in the alley. Before taking off, he glanced in the direction the stranger went. Her actions and the sound of her voice repeated inside his mind like an echo, burning itself in his memory.
Prev; Next;
I realized everything I wanted for this chapter did not happen. So now it's split into two parts- oops. Side note, this will not be a yandere series, though I do think they get 'possessive' sure, not yandere though. I finally know how I am going to end the Act, the issue is the in between that I struggle with.
Yay, you met Jon and Jason. Next up are Cass, Steph, Dick, and Tim the only ones left.
Web Bound Secret Corner!
Spider-Woman had an eidetic memory.
Spider-Woman does not know about the trafficked kids.
Spider-Woman did not notice Damian.
If Spider-Woman had to choose between saving a life and going home, she'd save the life.

She had been wound up tight all week - always was when Joel was on patrol somewhere, made worse by the fact that the way back had been cut off by an unexpected, small avalanche.
She was worried about whether he was safe up there with Tommy. He would be. Joel was good at surviving things, she gathered that much from the little talking he had done with her.
He was an interesting man, only too quiet, never liked to talk about his past too much, so she had gathered everything of importance from Ellie or Tommy once they had become a little more serious.
Of course heâd be fine.
But if she had known heâd be gone for a little over a week instead of a day or two, she never would have promised him shit before he left.
âDonât you dare touch yourself, darlinâ.â He had said to her before he left, his rough, calloused palm on the softness of her cheek. âWanna see her dripping and needy for me when I come back.â
Oh, dripping and needy she was. And it was even now, having fought the urge back ever since day three.
Day one was easy, two became just a little annoying, so used to having his thick length buried inside of her almost daily. Unless he had to patrol, which really was the only time he didnât fuck her.Â
Because even when he was too exhausted, she would simply turn him onto his back and bounce on his dick until she was satisfied. Much to his amusement.
On day three, the throbbing between her legs became more than annoying, it bothered her, clouding her thinking. It was tempting to just sneak her hand into her underwear at home and get herself off with her fingers.
But she didnât, only squeezing her thighs together to find some semblance of relief.
After that, things had only gone downhill.
So when he was finally back, safe and unharmed, it hadnât taken long to go from sweet kisses by the entrance to demanding ones in their bedroom.
Ready to burst right here.
Joel had barely managed to take his thick winter coat off before she had dragged him there, his large hands now opening her flannel, then wandering beneath her undershirt to feel her warm skin.
A hiss left her, caught by his mouth as he pushed his tongue against hers, goosebumps breaking out on her skin at how icy he felt. Pressing himself against her as if to warm himself.
He was fucking freezing, his fingertips a little numb despite his thick gloves, and she was so damn warm, he just couldnât help himself.
âFuckinâ missed you, sweetheart.â Joel rasped, hands leaving her skin to open her jeans as quickly as he could, slowly regaining the feeling in his fingertips. âBeen a good girl for me?â
She hummed affirmatively, stilling when he shoved his hand down the front of her jeans.
âOh, baby, sheâs desperate.âÂ
His cold fingers pressed against her clit over the wet material of her panties, the change in temperature making her shiver. That was almost enough to make her cum, her hand coming to claw at his wrist.
âNot like this- Fuck me, Joel.â She whispered, desperate and impatient.Â
Surprised that he just pulled his hand back out, now hastily working to get her undressed, her own hands started working on his pants.
The air felt even colder when he had her naked, pushing her onto the bed, leaning over her to kiss and nip at her neck, then down to her chest.
His beard scratched over her skin, her hands in his grey hair, slightly wet from the snow.Â
Like a man starving, he sucked bruises into her skin, bit at her until small imprints showed. Showed she was his.
Joel knew he didnât have to worry, there were no signs she would ever stray. Not with the way he fucked her, the way he took care of her.
She had it too damn good with him, he kept the creeps away and generally kept an eye out for her.
Still, he liked to show she was his, that no one else could have her, even if they tried.
His tongue found her pebbled nipple, sucking it into his mouth while his hand squeezed and pinched at her other breast, making her arch into his touch with a drawn out whine.
She was always so responsive to his touch.
So cold but so good, goosebumps on her skin, hands tugging at his hair.
âStop teasing.â She whispered breathlessly, earning a harder bite from him, his dark eyes finding hers as he looked up at her. So hungry.
âSomeoneâs impatient.â His mouth wandered lower, despite his words, hands staying on her breasts when he found her wet heat.
Joel's tongue dipped into her and made her moan, just about ready to burst. Especially with the way his tongue flicked over her clit, sucking on it before letting the tip glide over it again.
Joel noticed how quickly her legs started shaking, her fingers curling into his hair tightly, his own digging into her thighs as he spread her open. Feeling her muscles spasm below her skin as he kept licking at her, eating her out like she was his last meal.
It happened way too fast, throwing her head back as the coil inside her tightened and snapped so suddenly, her body shaking as her orgasm rushed through her unexpectedly.
âOh fuck- Joel-â She moaned, her legs fighting against his broad hands but he kept her spread open, working her through it.
Too worked up from him having been gone that she just couldnât last any longer, feeling a little self conscious about just how quickly he had pulled her apart already.
âSeriously, sweetheart?â Joel asked when he lifted his head, looking up at her from where he kneeled between her open thighs. His beard was wet with her, a ravenous expression on his face. âThat was way too damn short, darlinâ.â
His words burned on her skin, unable to look him in the eyes so she stared at the ceiling instead.Â
That really was embarrassingly fast, her fingers carding through his silvery hair.
âSorry, Joel. Iâve been so damn horny all week and-â
He shushed her, pressing his lips to the inside of her thigh. His beard scratching her, making her shiver.
âLetâs go a little longer, Iâm not done with you yet.â His chuckle was deep, tongue finding her middle again with a hum.
She whined, still a little sensitive as he worked his tongue over her clit repeatedly, back arching and her fingers curling back into his locks.
The heat came back immediately, settling in her abdomen, his tongue now moving down to find her soaking entrance, pushing inside.
Feeling her pulse around him when he fucked into her, his nose bumping against her clit in time with his movements, making her whine.
âRight there, Joel, yes!â She breathed, already feeling another orgasm approaching rapidly. âIâm close already, fuck. You feel good.â
Pushing her over a second time, he made her cry out, her legs shaking as he once again worked her through it.
But he didnât stop.Â
Joel just kept going, not giving her time to come down from her high, the buzz steadily moving through her body.
It was then that she realized he really was far from done with her, looking down at him with furrowed brows, while the glint in his eyes told her everything she needed to know.
âJoel-â She whined, feeling another rush coming, trying to scramble away from him somehow but he had an iron grip on her thighs.
He hummed against her, shaking his head No. She could swear he was grinning, doubling down on his efforts, tearing another orgasm from her.
The pleasure bordered on pain at this point, every nerve feeling like it was on fire as she shook, his tongue alternating between her clit and her pulsing hole.
God, he could be such an asshole, going on until tears were in her eyes, right on the brink of the fourth one.
Leaning back and licking his lips while he looked at her, squirming and shaking. A gasp left her when he worked two of his thick fingers into her, her legs clamping shut around his arm as he began to pump them in and out of her.
âTold you Iâm not done with you yet, darlinâ.â He rasped, using his other hand to open her legs again, teeth sinking into the soft skin before his tongue soothed over the marks. âSheâs hungry still, mustâve been starving the whole time.â
Her hands fisted the sheets, head rolling from side to side as he built her up, scissoring his fingers before pushing into that soft spot inside of her again.
Then he let her fall, pulling his fingers out, laughing at the long whine that left her, the tears that rolled down her cheeks.
Like she didnât know what she wanted, to cum again or to be left alone.
âOh, sweetheart, donât cry.â Joel chuckled, like he was mocking her. Somehow she liked it, the pulsing between her legs becoming worse, feeling empty. âThought Iâd give your little pussy some lovinâ, she must have been so neglected.â
She lifted her head, trying to glare daggers at him but failing when his fingers rubbed over her clit, once again building her up just short of the peak, then removing them, his hand finding her breast, groping and squeezing at it.
What wonderful sounds she made, first feeling too much and now too little.
Maybe he should leave for extended periods more often, she clearly enjoyed the way he treated her right now, making up for time lost but also depriving her of what she really wanted.
âYouâre mean.â She gasped, his thumbs brushing over her nipples.
She looked so fucked out already, yet he hadnât even gotten his fill.
âI can be mean, sweetheart.â Joel said, letting go of her again and standing up, just watching how she writhed, deprived of his rough palms. âWouldnât like me when I am.â
âJoel, please!â She cried, one of her hands wandering over her stomach and to her aching pussy. But Joel was quicker, grabbing her wrist tightly.
âDonât worry, baby, gonna get what you want when youâre fucking patient.â He said, letting go of her, moving to take off his pants. âSpent a whole week without me, can wait a couple minutes longer, canât you?â
She watched him, growing frustrated at just how slowly he seemed to take off his jeans, then his underwear.
Then, finally, his hard cock was springing free, head glistening with precum.
Hovering over her, he nestled in between her legs.
She squirmed more, her hands running over his arms, feeling his muscles flex beneath the skin, coming up to cup his cheeks.
âSo, so needy.â He chuckled, taking himself in hand, hitting her sensitive clit with the fat head of his cock a few times. The action made her whimper, fingers curling into his arms.Â
Shooting electricity through her, her whole body taut, just needing him to push inside of her.
âJoel, can you fucking move?â
The corner of his lips curled slightly upwards, finding her entrance before pushing inside with one fluid motion, knocking the air out of her at the sudden intrusion.
His lips attached to her neck with a groan, feeling how tight she was gripping him. Like she wanted to strangle his dick, always so damn tight.
âDonât get mouthy with me, sweetheart.â Joel said, hooking her leg over his hips, squeezing the soft flesh.
ââM not.â She gasped, feeling so full of him, ready to burst again.
Slowly he began to move, shallow at first before thrusting deeper.
Pushing her up higher on the bed with each thrust, making her cry out and hold onto him, her head too dizzy and hazy as he fucked into her, letting out the weekâs frustrations.
All that escaped her were incoherent ramblings, slurred whimpers and moans as she threw her head back, exposing more of her neck to him, his lips still dancing over the skin.Â
âShut up pretty fast with some cock in you, sweet darlinâ.â He chuckled, voice strained and clearly losing himself slowly. Her wet pussy and her cockdrunk face were too much even for him after heâd been away from her that long.Â
Heâd gone without it for longer, but now that he could fuck her every night, even just a day had seemed like an awfully long time.
âJoel-â She mewled, voice high-pitched and so, so desperate.
âYeah, tell me who makes you feel this good.â Joel said, lifting his head to look at her, one of his broad, rough hands coming up to wrap around her throat. Making her gasp as he squeezed the sides lightly, feeling her pulse throb in time with her sweet hole around him. âSay it, baby, keep sayinâ it. Whose cock is feeding your starvinâ pussy?â
She opened her eyes, finding his dark ones.Â
âYou- Yours, Joel!â She cried out, feeling her head become lighter as he cut off the blood flow, hazy smile on her face, jaw slack as he fucked into her. The words caught on her breath as she forced them out, stuttering. âYour cock, fucking- Fucking me so good!â
Joel almost snarled, thrusting harder, losing his rhythm. Jaw set so tight she could see the veins throb on his neck.
âThatâs right, pretty girl. Hungry little pussy, what a poor thing.â He groaned, grip tightening around her throat, grinning at the way her eyes rolled into the back of her head. âCâmon, be a good girl and let me feed it.â
The coil inside her snapped again, almost painfully as she sucked in a shaky breath, her cries muffled by his mouth when he bent down to slot his lips over hers. Her heels dug into his lower back, pulling him deeper as she trembled, nails digging into his skin.
Everything hurt as he kept pounding into her, her veins filled with fire, his skin against hers hot, like it was burning her, her clit too sensitive as the coarse hair above his dick kept brushing against it.
But she loved it, the pleasure that wasnât bordering on pain anymore, but actually hurt her in the best way possible, her entire body too stimulated.
It didnât need much more for him to break, stilling inside her with a hiss that was swallowed by her mouth as he spilled himself inside of her, giving her exactly what she needed. Filled to the brim by his cock and his cum, humming as the pulsing of him didnât seem to end, his hand around her throat just tightening a little more.
He loosened his grip when he felt her legs falling away from his waist, moving back to look at her face, blissed out while her body became boneless beneath him.
âMy good girl.â He said, seeming less tense as he hovered above her still, the corners of his mouth slightly curled upwards, his hand moving up to brush some hair from her damp forehead. âBeen too hungry.â
She giggled, catching her breath, feeling the blood rush back into her head as she laid there, feeling him soften inside of her.
âNot anymore.â The words were barely more than a quiet mumble, her weak hand coming up to cup his cheek, his coarse beard biting into the soft flesh of her palm. âReally missed you, though.â
In the quiet afterglow, the worry finally crept back in. She had been too pent up, too excited when he had walked into the door earlier, relieved to see him back but her need for him drove away all the worries of the past week.
Joel saw the change in her face, kissing her forehead tenderly.
âBeen at the lodge when it happened, donât worry, sweetheart.â He said, seeing her nod in understanding.
Silence fell between them, and she grew tired as she looked up at him, her thumb brushing over his cheekbone. Joel had worn her out pretty well, boneless and spent.
After pulling out slowly, he helped her get under the covers, his body finally warm again as he pulled her against his chest.
âYou can take longer patrols, you know.â She said, her hot breath fanning over his neck where she had buried her face. âHated you being away but if you fuck me like this every time you come homeâŚâ
Her words trailed off into the silence, making him chuckle.
âBut no avalanches.â He said, making her giggle. âLove when sheâs starved for me, sweetheart. Will see what I can do tomorrow, yeah?â
She nodded, eyes closing and enjoying his warmth again, his firm body against hers, strong arm wrapped around her waist.
Yeah, if he fucked her like this every time he came home from a long stretch of patrol, she definitely could manage being away from him for some time.
Starving for his touch and his cock.

Super Phantom
Writing prompt #3
Danny reveals his ghost half to his parents and they took it well accepting him. As a result the doctors Fenton then backed out of the weapons deal they had with the GIW and are actively protecting Phantom from them.
The GIW donât give up even after the anti ecto acts are being repealed and sabotaged the gas tank for Nasty Burgerâs grill. This causes the explosion that would Kill Dannyâs family and friends there for Jazzâs graduation celebration. Clockwork foresaw of a Dan event happening and froze time to take and de-age Danny, Jazz, Sam, Tucker and Vallarta. (Clockwork is a jerk and frankly blames Jack and Maddie for making the he portals that caused both Vlad and Dannyâs halfa status and a lot more work for him. He is letting those two die.)
Clockwork then sends the Deaged to babies/toddler to different places in the Yong Justice cartoon DC universe. All the kids are liminal and have powers.
Jazz now a 3 year old is sent to Hippallita on Themescira. (Excuse my spelling) liminal powers make her strength on par with Amazons.
Sam, age 1 as well and sent to Giovanni ďżźZattarra. Three year old Zatana gets a younger sister that also has the gift of magic. Especially nature/plant magic.
Tucker I had a hard time deciding but eventually chose Lucius Fox. (If you can think of someone better go ahead and make suggestions.)
Vallarie was Supposed to be sent to Ted Kord, but Lex Luthor was trying to tap into the watchtowerâs zeta tubs but accidentally got clockworkâs portal instead. It cased he basket to be dropped instead of gently set down. Startled, two year old Vallarie instinctively activates her ghost tech armor. Now that is a curious unexpected asset Lex will find a way to utilize.
And finally deaged to one year old Danny is sent in a in a basket with a solar system print blanket with a envelope sitting on top. The portal opens and the basket is carefully set on the table with the note. Then clockwork places a folder thick with other papers of to the side. He retreats into the portal closing it behind him just as the apartment door is opening.
Clark Kent has just finished his third week of work at the Daily Planet, the evening patrol and even grocery shopping. Thoughts of the paper he needs to write and turn in the morning are on his mind as he enters his apartment in time to notice a Green glow wink out of existence from his kitchen door. He drops the now forgotten grocery bags when he hears the tiny heartbeat and rushes over to the basket on the table.
A sleeping baby. A baby! Wha- how had anyone. When his brain stops stalling he notices the letter. It reads:
Superman,
The boyâs name is Danny. You are the most likely to survive him learning to use his powers as they emerge. His parents died trying to protect him. It is not safe for him here.
I have already forged the legal documents naming you as his godfather and a cover story in the attached folder. Also three gold coins will be sent to you each month as child support. If anyone else looks at this letter the text will change to simply read that you are the godfather of this recently orphaned boy.
Clockwork.
Clark stood in shock rereading the letter in shock a dozen times. Before Lois snapped him out of it.
âHey Smallville, it may not be Gotham but even in Metropolis you shouldnât just leave your door open.â She called as she entered from the hall. Then she noticed the spilled bags of groceries on the floor. And came in. âAre you ok? You may be a klutz but you always pick u- Oh My God, Thatâs a Baby!â
Well that is enough for tonight. I will add on more later. Wonder how quickly this would grow if I donât tag anyone? Eh just a few. @bloggerspam @confusedshades @hypewinter @zylev-blog @kizzer55555
#dpxdc#dp x dc#dc x dp#dcxdp#danny phantom#the Pham are deaged and sent to the DC universe.#being liminal means they all have powers#Clockwork is a jerk#Danny and his friends will be raised and sidekicks to DC heroes#Danny raised by Superman#Jazz Raised as an Amazon and thought to be a gift from Greek god Kronos#Sam will be Zatanas little sister#Tucker raised by Lucius Fox around Wayne Enterprises#oh ho Valarie ends up with Lex#but that may not turn out how you think it would

Crush
a/n: soft jackson ellie ily.
not proofread, if you see any mistakes look away lol.
She couldn't stop staring. Sitting on a cold bench in front of Jackson's little schoolhouse, she hides behind the astronomy book she'd recently found while out on patrol. Frozen fingers flip to the next page every couple of seconds, far too fast to actually retain any information. She watches you lead Joel to a particular part of the fence that has clearly seen better days. The wood is rotting and splitting apart in certain spots. No longer safe for the children who play nearby. You nudge the post with the toe of your boot, eyes widening when it topples over.Â
Her eyes follow the curve of your neck as you throw your head back, laughing at something Tommy said. Your smile lights up your entire face, sending a flutter of giddiness through her body, almost as if it had been directed at her. She bites her lip, averting her eyes when you crouch down to inspect the damage. Where you found jeans that fit you like that in times like these she'd like to know. One more quick glance and she contemplates walking away, leaving Joel to get dinner by himself.
"What are we looking at?" A familiar voice whispers behind her, causing her to almost drop her book. She clutches it to her chest.
"Nothing!" She whips her head around to find Jesse and Dina behind her. The pair plop down on either side of her watching while the two men try to make the broken piece work until Joel can come back and replace it later. You stand off to the side chatting, not wanting to get in their way. Ellie marvels at how pretty you look under the street lights. Your hair a messy halo of waves, making you look angelic.Â
"So," Jesse knocks his knee against hers "Are you ever gonna actually talk to her?"
"I talk to her!" Ellie scowls. "She comes over to Joel's for dinner once a week."
"Oh, we know." He interrupts "We've been invited."
"It was brutal."Â Dina winces.Â
The couple quietly tease Ellie, reminiscing over that night a few months ago. She had begged them to come and serve as a buffer between you and her. They spent the whole night watching Ellie try and fail to not make a complete fool of herself. Stumbling over her words and cracking lame jokes that left her screaming into her pillow later that night in embarrassment. Jesse's foot kicking her under the table when she stared for too long. Ellie listens with a pout on her face.Â
"You guys are the worst." She groans. Her eyes travel back to where you stand, widening a little when she sees you already staring. There's a tiny smile playing on the edge of your lips. Heat rises to her cheeks when you send her a little wave. Sorry, you mouth, gesturing to Joel and Tommy.
Dina's giggle seems to catch your attention. You shift from Ellie's flushed face to the brunette beside her. The two of you share a look, seemingly having a conversation with just your eyes. There's a sly smirk on your face when you finally look away. Her brows furrow in confusion. In that moment, Ellie wishes she spoke girl better.Â
"You know what? Surprisingly, I think she might like you too." Her best friend pats her thigh as she stands. "Do something about it before she finds someone else who will actually make a move."Â
She grabs a confused Jesse by the hand, leading him in the direction of her house. The two whispering as they go.Â
Ellie digs the heel of her sneaker into the ground, the thin layer of snow crunching underneath her foot. Most of the people in her life knew about her little crush. The way she offers to take your patrol shifts if it was too cold. Always on the lookout for things that would brighten up your small classroom. Volunteering when you ask for help with random little tasks during town meetings. She isn't as subtle as she thought. There's no way you don't know she's spent the past year and a half pining after you and haven't said anything.Â
Not only is she ridiculously awkward, Ellie speculates your disinterest also comes from the three year age gap between you two. At twenty four, you probably see her as a little girl with a crush.Â
She can see how much you enjoy spending time with Joel, especially after your grandfather's passing. She would hate to ruin that for you. It's better for everyone if she keeps her mouth shut.
____
It isn't until a week later that Ellie sees you again. She's shirtless in the middle of her makeshift home in the garage just feet behind Joel's house. There's a small pile of discarded tops sitting at the foot of her bed. She huffs, trying to find one that nice enough, but doesn't make it look like she tried too hard.
You stopped by the stables in the morning, making plans with Joel for dinner and a game of poker. Ellie hid behind Shimmer, trying to think of a way to get out of tonight when a look from Joel told her she had no choice. She fumbles with the last couple of buttons on the flannel, too lost in thought to hear the sound of the door opening.Â
"Ellie, food's read- oh!"Â
"Shit!" She spins around to find you standing in the doorway, eyes fixed on her panicked face as she pops the last button open. Ellie shoves her arms into the sleeves of the maroon flannel she'd borrowed from Dina, knowing it probably matched the color of her flushed cheeks. At least she'd thought to put on a bra.
"In my defense, I knocked twice." You state as you slowly make your way around the room, pausing to inspect the posters hung on her walls. She watches you pick up the comic she'd thrown on the coffee table earlier. Your eyes light up in recognition. "Oh hey! My grandpa used to read these to me. I think I have some you're missing if you ever wanna see them."Â
Her breath catches in her throat at the prospect of spending more time with you. "Really?" She grins. "I'd like that."
You nod, walking slowly towards her. Your footsteps loud in the quiet room. Ellie watches the way your piercing gaze roams her face, slipping to her exposed torso for just a second before locking eyes with her. She hopes you didn't hear the embarrassing way her breath hitches when you replace her clumsy fingers with yours. Ellie basks in the warmth radiating from your body as you button up her shirt, your warm breath hitting her temple.Â
"Cute." You smirk looking down at her. "Really makes your eyes pop." Tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, you step back towards the door. "Don't make us wait too long."
Ellie stands frozen, heart pounding in her chest, listening to your retreating footsteps wondering what the hell just happened. ââ
After another slightly awkward dinner, she was shocked when you showed up at her doorstep again that night, this time waiting until she opened the door. Giving her a shy smile, you'd held out a box full of old comics, letting her know there was no rush on returning them. Ellie still remembers the grin that bloomed on your face when she'd invited you in.Â
The two of you rarely left each other's side after that. Your friendship blossoming in the months that followed. It helped that you liked to talk and Ellie liked to listen to you talk. Most nights were spent together, either at your place or hers. She loved it when you read to her while she drew in her sketchbook. Some nights she would attempt to teach you how to play some of her favorite video games, enjoying how cute you looked when you were pouting after losing to her. The two of you had even started growing a dvd collection, always fighting over what movie to watch (she let you win almost every time.)Â
She couldn't believe how quickly you'd become such a big part of her life. Ellie still had the urge to pinch herself on the mornings when she'd wake up to you sleeping soundly next to her. And on the nights where she'd stay awake, late into the early hours of the morning, memorizing every inch of your face, the magnitude of her feelings for you scared her. She'd do anything for you.Â
Which is how she finds herself standing in the corner of the room nursing a drink, doing what she does best - watching you. You've been looking forward to the winter dance for weeks, begging Ellie to come with. The sweet look on your face when she walked through the door sent a rush of excitement through her.
You stay by her side all night until one of your friends pulls you to the makeshift dance floor, managing to get Ellie out for one song before she quickly retreats back to where she was despite your protests. You're glowing under the twinkling lights, dancing and singing your way around the room. The navy blue sweater she'd gifted you for Christmas last month fits you like a glove.
"So where's your girl?" She looks up to find Jesse standing there, his face covered in a thin sheen of sweat from dancing. Dina's laugh sounds off from somewhere behind him.
Ellie chokes on her drink "She's not my girl." She says through a nervous chuckle.Â
"You mean to tell me you follow her around like a lost puppy and you'll sleep in her bed but you won't tell her how you feel?"Â
She shifts nervously from one foot to the other. "We're just friends. I sleep over at Dina's all the time."
"You don't look at Dina the way you look at her." He sighs looking out at the crowd of dancing people. "All I'm saying is it's only gonna get worse the longer you ignore it. Are you prepared to be her friend while she dates someone else?"
Ellie's eyes follow to where he's currently staring. Bile rises in her throat as she watches you dance with someone else. Twirling around with another woman, her hands where Ellie's had been just minutes before. Her hand grows clammy around the glass. The blonde kisses you. Her lips far too close to your mouth for it to be friendly. Before she knows it, she's pushing past her friend and rushing out the door.Â
The chilly January wind bites at her face as soon as she steps outside. Blood rushes in her ears as she quickly walks back towards her house. She's mad. Mad at Jesse for being right. You for leaving her standing there alone. But mostly she's mad at herself. What had she been thinking? That she would just get to know you more and not fall even further? Her cold palms press into her eyes, trying to alleviate the stinging sensation. This crush was going to ruin her.Â
She stops just feet from her door, digging into her pocket for her key. Footsteps that are not her own pound on the snowy pavement behind her. "Ellie!"Â
Her eyes squeeze shut, regretting not walking faster. She wants nothing more than to freak out while buried underneath her covers. For the first time ever she doesn't want to see you.Â
Your hand grips her bicep, spinning her around to face you. "Els what's wrong?"Â
"Nothing 'm jus tired." She mumbles shrugging you off and taking a step back. Your lips pull down into a frown at her actions.Â
"Why didn't you tell me? We could have come back together."
She scoffs. "You seemed a little busy. Didn't wanna bother you."Â
"Ellie-"
"Caroline's great." She interrupts. "Word around town is she has quite the crush on you. If you wanna go back don't let me stop you."
"Oh my god shut up." In the blink of an eye she find herself up against the wall, your body caging her in. Your hands fly to the back of her head, fingers tangling in the short strands of her newly cut hair. You tug gently, forcing her to look up at you.
"She kissed you." Ellie whispers looking like a kicked puppy.Â
"And if you had stayed long enough you would have seen me brush her off." You cup her face, slowly dragging your thumbs across her cheeks in a soothing manner. The tenderness in your eyes will forever be ingrained in her mind. "There's only one person I want to spend my night with and she's right here."
"Really?" You nod, brushing the tips of your noses together.
"I don't want to be just your friend Ellie," You whisper against her lips, your breaths mingling together. Her ears ring at your confession, and she hopes you can't hear the way her heart is pounding. "and I know you don't either. I've been waiting for you to make the first move, but I'm real tired of being patient baby."Â
Your lips press against hers in a soft kiss. It's hesitant at first, giving her the option to pull away. You see her eyes flutter shut, shaky hands wrapping around your neck. She whines quietly, wanting more. Her fingers slip down and hook onto your belt loops, pulling you in and deepening the kiss. Your tongue is soft and warm in her mouth, sliding against hers as you press her further into the wall. She shivers when your cold hands caress the warm skin of her lower back.Â
Ellie's head goes fuzzy at the feeling of your thigh slotting in between her legs. Her hips seem to have a mind of their own as she slowly rocks back and forth on it, the seam of her jeans giving just enough friction to provide some relief.Â
Her soft mewls and the wet sounds of your mouths fill the air. Somewhere in the back of her mind she realizes you two are still outside, where anyone walking by can see. You need to go inside. She just can't find it in her to care at the moment.Â
Hands slide from their place on your hips to cup your ass, squeezing harshly, drawing a groan from you. "Hmm. Do you wanna know how many times I've caught you staring at it?" You ask as your mouth pulls back to kiss down the column of her throat. Teeth nipping the soft skin there. Ellie laughs breathlessly in response, somewhat lightheaded from the lack of oxygen. The dazed look in her eyes sends a jolt of heat through you.Â
"Ellie?"
The two of you rip apart at the sound of Joel's voice. He stands just outside of his back door, the concerned look on his face vanishes when he spots you and Ellie off to the side of the garage.Â
"You two alright out there?"Â
You want to laugh at the clear discomfort and amusement in his voice. "Fine Joel, just walking her home."
"Uh huh." He doesn't sound convinced. "Well, best get inside before the snow picks up."
"Right. Good night!"Â
Ellie rushes to unlock the door, pulling you in and slamming the door shut.Â
"How did you know?" She asks, playing nervously with her fingers. Her freckled face deliciously flushed. A love bite peeking through the collar of her hoodie.Â
"You weren't good at hiding it. I had my suspicions." you giggle, intertwining your fingers with hers. "Dina also might have put in a good word. Said I would love you if I just got to know you better."
"And?"
"She was right."

"Lex Luthor's latest character flaw" poll winner, "deciding he wants grandbabies and giving Robin a cloning lab about it". Behold, a new WIP strikes!!
âWhat,â Tim says, staring blankly at the brightly-lit and airy sunroom full of very obvious cloning technology in the very expensive penthouse that Lex Luthorâs bodyguards just dragged a handcuffed Red Robin and Spoiler into after kidnapping them straight off patrol in the Diamond District in the middle of an active crisis situation with the League of Assassins and disabling all their tech and every single one of their trackers six and a half hours ago, down to the bastardized Kryptonian-tech ones in their back molars and two more in both of their suits that Tim didnât even know existed, plus the one he put in Stephâs collar that she didnât know existed. Babs is probably just about feral by now. Bruce is definitely feral by now.Â
And Lex Luthor is drinking what appears to be a neon purple protein shake out of a rocks glass while sitting at a neatly-arranged desk in the center of the sunroom lab, looking idly bored and scrolling through whateverâs on his phone with his free hand.Â
Alright then, Tim thinks carefully.Â
âThere you are, I was starting to wonder if Iâd gotten al Ghul riled up for nothing,â Luthor says, barely glancing up from his tablet.Â
â. . . which al Ghul,â Tim asks with wary dread.Â
âAll of them,â Luthor says, setting down his tablet to give him a pleasant smile.Â
Well, now Tim knows why nobodyâs dropped in a skylight to rescue them yet. And also why half of Gotham is currently on fire.Â
âUh,â Steph says, glancing around the sunroom lab. âSo like, lead-lined glass in here, then, or . . . ?âÂ
âWeâre in Connecticut, so no,â Luthor replies dismissively. âAnyway, the Boy Scout always gets suspicious of too much lead in one place. Which I personally find darling, since anyone in Metropolis without at least a lead-lined and soundproofed bedroom is essentially asking for Kryptonian voyeurs, whether intentionally or not on said Kryptoniansâ parts. Also, privacy laws exist for a reason. As do patents, copyrights, attorney-client privilege, HIPAA . . .âÂ
âConnecticut?â Steph repeats incredulously. âWhat the frick is in Connecticut?âÂ
âCurrently, us,â Luthor replies matter-of-factly. âHope, Mercy, do me a favor and go check the security systems manually, just in case any invasive species of vermin have gotten into them. Also, yes, there is kryptonite, and no, there is actually much more than youâre theorizing.âÂ
âYou have literally no idea how much kryptonite weâre theorizing,â Steph says as the bodyguards both leave with an affirming nod. Luthor gives her a pitying look, then turns his chair a few degrees towards Tim. Tim immediately expects the inevitable threat or ultimatum, and braces himself forâ
âIâd apologize for all the fuss, but I donât actually care about inconveniencing you and donât see the point in pretending I ever would,â Luthor informs him. Tim stares blankly at him again. What is even happening right now? âNow then, what are your intentions in regards to âSupernovaâ, as I hear someoneâs started calling himself now. âThemselfâ? Iâm not sure if âSupernovaâ is meant to be gender-affirming or more a âtoo old to stick with âSuperboyâ but there are already three âSupermenâ active and the whole, you know, general stubborn individualism theyâre so fond of. Or âheâsâ so fond of. Whichever."
Tim stares at him.Â
âIs this supposed to be a trap for Supernova or a shovel talk for me?â he asks, because a) heâs not telling Lex Luthor anything about Konâs gender or personal choices that Kon hasnât publicly stated, and b) only Lex Luthor would actually kidnap two active vigilantes in the middle of a crisis heâd apparently pre-arranged to give aâwell, no, Bruce would also do that, definitely. But this is not a Batman talk, either way.Â
Batmanâs âtalksâ all involve tests, for one thing, so actually so far this is an improvement.Â
âItâs an engagement present,â Luthor says pleasantly.Â
Timâs brain crashes, then does the slowest reboot of his life. Heâs recovered from concussions faster, heâs pretty sure.Â
âTheyâre . . . not engaged, though?â Steph says skeptically. âOr, like, even dating?âÂ
âRed Robinâs commitment issues are his own problem, not mine. Iâve got a schedule to keep,â Luthor replies dismissively.

VICIOUS â Theodore Nott
pairing :: theodore nott x f!reader (implied Gryffindor!reader but never mentioned)
summary :: (enemies to lovers). when you and theo get paired up for the nightly prefect-patrols, the yearlong hatred between the two of you may come to an end. or not.
based on the song vicious by sabrina carpenter
warnings :: angst!! she/her pronouns, use of y/n & y/l/n (only a few times), lots of cursing, british, mentions of killing someone (not serious), smoking, drinking, typos probably, 4.1k words
a/n :: english isnât my native language so please donât mind any mistakes and feel free to correct me! this is my first story published on tumblr so iâm a bit nervous. my requests are open, feel free to share your ideas and Iâll come up with something!!
âAs a result of the ongoing danger in and outside of Hogwarts, the prefects will now walk around in pairs during their nightly patrols after curfew. And to show that Hogwarts and the witches and wizards attending this school stick together in such times, we have decided to pair up prefects from different houses.â
Harry, Ron, Hermione and you sat on your usual seats in the great hall as Professor McGonagall made the announcement. The boys and Mione didnât really care about the announcement, considering none of them are prefects. Hermione at least listened to what the professor was saying, sometimes poking Ron in his arm to make him stop bickering and start listening, too.
You however, you didnât take the news as easily as your friends.
Once you realized that being friends with Harry had its downsides, you started to appreciate the everyday repetitiveness. The homey things.
Ignoring the strength of the dark side in the wizarding world, you found comfort in the mornings at Hogwarts that were always the same. The fun you had at lunch with the boys and Hermione and the quidditch trainings and matches you could always look forward to.
It gave you a sense of normality in an abnormal world, just like your nightly patrols did.
Whatever may have happened during the day, you could overthink it during those few hours you had for yourself as you walked through the dark corridors of Hogwarts, occasionally greeting and having small talk with the other prefects or scolding the little amount of students you would catch sneaking around from time to time.
Those patrols were your way of coping with stress, wherever it may have come from. Usually school, or the cognition that Voldemort wonât be scared to lift his wand against you and your friends the next chance he gets, whenever that might be. Not very soon, you hoped.

âTheyâve got to be kidding! Thereâs no bloody way I can go on those patrols with this assholes every damn night.â
You were furious. Taking away your alone time was one thing, but pairing you with none other than Theodore Nott, the biggest dickhead to ever walk the corridors of Hogwarts, that just had to be a sick joke.
You hated his guts. You hated his manwhore-behavior and his obnoxious superior complex. He thinks heâs too good to attend any of his classes and simply uses his prefect-advantages to take points from Gryffindor students for fun. You doubted he knew what playing fair even meant.
Every damn house party, he somehow felt the need to judge either you outfit, you hair, your makeup or just anything else he can find to complain about. And as if that wasnât enough, he loved taking advantage of your resentment towards hookup culture, never failing to somehow end up right next to you while one of the many girls who seem to be kissing the ground he walks on was hanging on his lips as if heâd remember her name tomorrow.
And donât get started on quidditch. the amount of times you leave the pitch with at least a dozen new bruises just because of him almost makes it seem like having pushed him off his broom that one time wasnât enough yet.
In comparison to you and Theo, Harry and Draco were just two puppies occasionally fighting over who gets to play with the stuffed animal first.
âLook- maybe it wonât be that bad, maybe youâll even, I donât know, start getting along?â Hermione tried to cheer you up, already knowing that âpossibilityâ isnât that probable.
âOh come on Mione, Nott just has to look at Y/N and she basically explodes with anger. We have to be careful she doesnât accidentally kill him one night.â
âShut it, Weasley, this isnât helping. I have to go and talk to professor McGonagall. Mione, come with me?â you asked.
âIâd love to, but curfew is about to start. I donât wa-â
curfew only meant one thing: the nightly patrol
Ë Âˇ ⢠. ° . Ë Âˇ ⢠. ° .
He was different than you thought. He wasnât that bad. Not when you two were alone. A few months had gone by and, even though the first nights were a bit rough, you both managed to get along well. Really well, actually.
It became a wordless understanding that in the depths of the night, in the comfort of the quietness, when the only source of light in the castle were your wands and the lumos spell, you two werenât hateful classmates. You were friends. Good friends even.
âIâm so tired, and why is this damn school still freezing cold at night? Bloody hell itâs juneâ you yawned. It was almost midnight and you and Theo had decided to sit down on one of the stairs. Itâs been a long day and night, the younger students seemingly wanting to be outside during the warm summer nights. Understandibly so, you thought.
âYouâre shivering, want my jumper?â
He handed it over to you after pulling it off of his body, accidentally showing a tiny bit of his toned stomach. You couldnât help but look, slightly biting your lip to hide your smile.
You happily accepted the offer and slowly pulled the jumper over your head, your stomach suddenly feeling warm and fuzzy when you smelt his cologne. You breathed in and mumbled a small âthanksâ to be boy next to you.
It wasnât the first time he had given you his jumper. And it also wasnât the first time youâve felt this fuzziness in your stomach because of him, and you knew what it meant.
And he felt it too.
Theo never liked you either. He hated your goody two-shoes behavior in front of the professors and the way you would scrunch your nose in disgust whenever you saw him smoking. Sometimes he lit his cigarettes near you just to annoy you.
It all started when in fourth year, you accidentally kicked him off his broom during a friendly quidditch match. He didnât get seriously hurt, he just felt humiliated. Even worse, by you, a girl he had been convinced to dislike ever since you befriended Theoâs best friendâs sworn enemy, Harry.
You wanted to say sorry the next morning during breakfast, but he strutted away right after seeing you on your way over to him. He was mad at you for embarrassing him, and you found his behavior childish. You both wouldâve sworn that this hatred was going to be endless. Until now.
And that scared him.
He couldnât possibly fall for the girl he had despised all these years. It wouldnât work anyway. Their houses, their families and their friends just wouldnât allow it. And their egos wouldnât either.
Who was Y/N to fall for someone who treated other girls so poorly? Someone who dared to call her best friend worthless and walk around in school he as if he was just better than her and her friends.
But in intimate moments like these, with your head gently placed on his shoulder and his warm jumper wrapped around your body, you both forgot. You forgot about youâre prejudices, about your friends and your families. It was just you two.
Sometimes you wondered if he felt the same way. You doubted it.
As soon as the sun rises, the birds start singing and the castle starts awaking from its tranquil sleep, the peace between you two stopped. His smoking annoyed you. At parties heâd still sneak around with girls. After quidditch matches youâd be still fuming with anger.
Therefore you wished you could stay like this forever. You felt safe in moments like these. Perfectly at peace.
Even though the feeling in your stomach when he looked at you or when you smelt his cologne was the same as always, tonight felt different. The usual comforting silence felt awkward and tense, like something that was yet to be said already made things harder.
âY/N?â
âHm?â
Theo sighed.
âMy friends would kill both of us if they saw us like this.â
âSo what? I donât care about you friends.â You scoffed. âI mean, they canât know.â he said, almost in a whisper.
âKnow what?â you asked as you slowly lifted your head from his shoulder and your eyes locked together. His gaze drifted from your eyes to your delicate lips and the air surrounding you was suddenly filled with a heavy tension and desire.
Your breath hitched and your whole body felt like it was on fire as he carefully started to caress your cheek. He leaned in and finally, his lips touched yours. The feeling of your soft lips on his slightly chapped ones was intoxicatin. The kiss was gentle yet passionate and in that exact moment, nothing else mattered.
All doubts you had suddenly left your mind, the only things you could think about being the feeling of his lips on yours, and the fact that you never want this to stop.
You wrapped your hand around his neck as the kiss deepened and it went on like this until you both pulled away to catch your breaths.
And ater that kiss, everything changed.
For the worse
His gaze landed on your eyes once again. And as your expression softened, his became harder. And darker. And the eyes you found yourself lost in just seconds ago suddenly turned cold.
âDid I do so-â
âGive me my jumper. I want to go to bed.â
âWhat?â You huffed. He canât be serious right now, right?
âGive it to me, Y/L/N. Our job here is done and Iâm tired.â
You scoffed and quickly pulled the emerald green piece of clothing over your head, breathing in his scent for the last time that night. He snatched it out of your hands and left without another word, leaving you alone on the huge staircase, confused and upset.
Ë Âˇ ⢠. ° . Ë Âˇ ⢠. ° .
The next morning was even weirder. Your friends had to basically drag you out of bed and once you were seated in your usual seat in the great hall, you just couldnât stop trying to catch his eyes.
But he seemed ratherâŚ. busy. Either you were imagining things or Pansy Parkinson was currently seated on his lap. At breakfast. You frowned and slowly picked at your food with your fork, never taking a single bite.
âY/N, I think thatâs your owl!â Hermione said, the daily prophet in one hand, a teaspoon in the other to stirr her tea. Once the letter dropped onto your lap, you swiftly opened it before quickly patting the owl on its head as a goodbye.
âItâs from professor McGonagallâ
âWhat does it say?â Harry asked, seemingly interested.
You squinted your eyes and Hermione immediately went to look over your shoulder, reading it too as you turned the letter to show her.
âIt says that she took notice of my complaints about the pairing and that changes will follow quickly. But I never went to complain about it. And we also never talked about it in class.â You scoffed. The letter was clearly directed at you, and professor McGonagall wasnât exactly known for making mistakes like sending letters to the wrong person.
Meaning, someone else mustâve told her.
âAt least you donât have to spend any more time with that snob.â Ron chimed in, chewing on his breakfast. You just nodded.
You stopped listening to the conversation as Hermione started to complain about Ronâs table manners and you let your mind wander back to Theo. It mustâve been him who somehow told McGonagall about your complaints. It wasnât that hard to believe him, considering the professors already knew about the hateful relationship you and Theo had going on.
âIâm gonna go tell Alex, maybe Iâll get paired with her.â You said, getting up from your seat. The trio hummend and waved at you, already being used this.
It wasnât the whole truth. Yes, if Theo wanted to be a bitch then you definitely wanted to be paired with Alex instead of anyone else. But she also was the only one who knew about you and Theo, and you definitely needed to update her on whatâs going on currently. You didnât dare to tell the Gryffindors, afraid of how they might react. Maybe cutting off contact with you wasnât so stupid of him. But it was so vicious.
Alex and you have already been friends before you even received your Hogwarts letters. You confided in her with everything, hence she also knew what had been going on between you and Theo these past few months.
She waved you over when she saw you walking towards the Hufflepuff table, letter still in hand. She raised an eyebrow, waiting for you to sit down. You exchanged quick hellos, and then you began talking, sharing every so tiny detail about last night. And the letter. And the still ongoing situation he had with Pansy Parkinson on his lap, giggling about something he said. You wanted to look away, but you couldnât. And he didnât spare you a single look.
âThat fucking twat! He canât just kiss you and then pull shit like this! You should beet him up, honestly. Even better, kick him off his broom again.â Alex suggested, maybe a bit too loudly, as you were on you way towards potions. Breakfast had already ended and because you didnât want to keep sitting where everybody could hear you, you decided to leave a bit earlier and take the longer way to the classroom.
âYeah- I donât know Lex, this is so weird. I used to hate him all this time and now- now Iâm crying after him? This is so stupidâ, you murmured, âmaybe itâs better this way. Everything will go back to the way it was before and Iâll just- forget.â
But it didnât go back to how it was before. He didnât go back to calling you names. And whenever he saw you in hogsmead, he didnât wait for you to cross paths to light his cigarette anymore like he usually did to annoy you. He just ignored you. And that frustrated you even more. Why couldnât he just act normal? Why did he have to suddenly act as if you died? As if you just didnât exist anymore? Why did he have to constantly remind you that something between you did change? How were you supposed to forget it about it like this?
Even in classes, when you dropped something, when you gave the wrong answer or when your potions turned into nothing more than a weird bubbling brown liquid and Snape scolded you for it, even when you embarrassed yourself in front of everyone, he wouldnât comment it. Draco would mock you. And Mattheo would laugh. Occasionally, if he saw you on your way out, Blaize would annoyingly remind you of whatever had happened in class. But Theo? He wouldnât look. He wouldnât react. He wouldnât care.
But, to your luck, every last Saturday of the month, the students threw a party with all students from every house invited. Only if they were of age. The houses always took turns on whose common room the party will be held in, and July was Slytherinâs turn. Meaning Theo would definitely be there.
Originally, you didnât want to act so petty. But you felt used after all these months of him pretending. So, there was only one thing you had to keep in mind for a few more weeks;
revenge is a dish best served cold.
And you managed. By now, you had already told Hermione about Theo and even though she didnât like the thought of you and him at first, considering you spent lots of time together, it made sense. After all, she said it herself when you first got the message of having to go patrolling with him. Maybe youâd start getting along.
So, for the next party, Alex, Mione, and you came up with a tiny, harmless plan. You didnât know if it would work because his ignorance towards you was still going strong, but it was worth a shot. And a little jealousy never hurt anyone anyway, right?
Ë Âˇ ⢠. ° . Ë Âˇ ⢠. ° .
You dressed up. You needed to break his façade one way or another. A tight-fitting, almost-too-short red dress and your favorite jewellery delicately hanging around your neck and wrists with a few rings around your fingers.
You werenât overdressed, but you didnât usually go to parties like this. You just went there to have fun with your friends, get drunk and take your mind off of things, never to catch anybodyâs attention. You were beautiful dressed up or not, boys always tried to ask you out at those parties no matter what you were wearing, but you always nicely rejected.
Today, you wouldnât.
After you finished off you makeup with mascara and lipgloss, you put on your heels and finally made your way over to the dungeons, Hermione and Alex right next to you. The boys went first, you assumed theyâve already had some drinks, so hopefully the vibe wouldnât be too bad.
âThis is so embarrassing.â
âItâs not.â
âHe probably wonât even look at me, just like he did the whole past monthâ you sighed, suddenly not feeling as confident anymore.
âIf you wonât catch his attention, then surely someone elseâs.â Hermione tried to cheer you up once again. âAnd itâll at least help you take your mind off of him.â Alex added.
They are right, you told yourself. Just go inside, drink something to calm your nerves, and donât focus on him.
Easier said than done. The moment you stepped a foot inside the common room, decorated with green lamps and lights, dark leather sofas and with loud music beaming through your ears, your eyes immediately searched for him. He was sitting there, hidden in a dark corner with a ravenclaw girl all over him, but his eyes focused on you.
You locked eyes.
Your breath hitched.
Goosebumps formed all over your body.
You looked away.
Your eyes settled on Harry who was calling you over, a drink for you in his hand. You took it from him, ready to just enjoy yourself and have a good time. For now.
You were more than just tipsy, stumbling over your words and your own feet. Your feet started to hurt in your heels and the guy youâve been flirting with started to annoy you. His hand was steady on your hip and his lips grazed your neck as he whispered things into your ear you couldnât comprehend, mind way too hazed.
Meanwhile, Theo felt as though he was going fucking crazy. He couldnât stand it anymore. He tried so hard not to think about you. He tried so hard to finally get you off his mind. To finally make these feelings for you disappear.
He was supposed to enjoy himself tonight. Make out with yet another girl and then forget about you completely. Some alcohol would help, wouldnât it? But no, you just had to show up in that tiny fucking dress, showing off your legs for everyone to see. And as if that wasnât enough, you let that guyâs hands and lips wander over your body as if you belonged to him. Youâve never done anything like this before. You never dressed up like this, and every bloke who ever came too close to you would be hushed away in a second and now you basically bathed in those boysâ attention.
He knew he wasnât one to judge. Not when he acted the same exact way every single party he went to. But the way you wouldnât react to his smoke, the fact your nose didnât scrunch up like it usually would, the way all of your attention was on that guy and not on him, it made him fucking feral.
âUhhhm you know, you- you look good and all, and we should reaaaaallyyyy continue this another time, but I need some fresh- fresh air right now, so Iâll go.â You hickupped, actually feeling like his weird perfume would suffocate you if you didnât leave right fucking now.
âIâll go with y-â
âNono, donât worry, Iâll- Iâll go alone.â
You hurried away, not wanting him to follow you. You needed to get out of this huge castle, go somewhere you could actually relax, because the alcohol, in fact, did not help and finally come to terms with the truth; Theo never once left your mind. And your plan sucked too, having achieved absolutely nothing.
You felt way too hot, the smell of that horrible perfume mixed with smoke and alcohol overstimulating your senses. Plus, your mind was racing. Why couldnât he just talk to you? Tell you what he was thinking that night, tell you what made him lie to your professors about âyour complaintsâ, tell you what fucking made him run away after such an intimate moment.
âFuckfuckfuck these shoes are fucking killing me!â you whined once you reached the exit.
âThen take âem offâ
Your eyes opened wide and the cold rain drops falling onto your skin one after one made you shiver.
And so did his voice.
You knew he was standing behind you, but you didnât dare to turn around. You stared ahead into the nothingness until you felt his presence next to you, arms brushing against each other. His cologne and the fresh air cleared your mind, sobering you up slightly.
âWhat do you want, Nott?â
âWe need to talk.â
âFinally grew a pair or what took you so long?â
Theo exhaled. He turned around to stand face-to-face with you, his blue eyes piercing into yours. And finally that night, you held his gaze. The tension was palpable and you couldnât help but fiddle with your bracelets and necklace, feeling overwhelmed with the sudden change of atmosphere.
âListen, I- I know what I did was stupid. And absolutely, in no way, was what I did okay. I just- Iâve kissed a lot of girls before, we both know that, but that kiss between us- it felt so different and t-â
âSo you left? And ignored me? And lied to McGonagall? And proceeded to let a girl sit on your lap during fucking breakfast the next fucking morning? Thatâs a low bow even for you, Nott. Stop behaving like a slut and then maybe weâll talk.â
âOh and how did you behave tonight? Youâre allowed and Iâm not?â His voice was low, his head bending teasingly low towards yours, eyebrows raised, awaiting your reaction.
You scoffed and dodged his gaze. Guess your plan did work out. âComplaining, Nott? One bloke I flirt with and suddenly youâre after me again? Well maybe next time you should think before leaving me! Because, believe it or not, to one of us that kiss actually fucking meant somethi-â
âYou seriously think it meant nothing to me?â He yelled, frustration growing in his eyes. âI left because I was scared of what our friends would think if they saw us together! I- I know it was stupid and I got unnecessarily rude after but Iâve never felt anything like that before and that,â he huffed, âI guess that scared me.â
âSo when itâs me you care about others opinions, but when itâs that Ravenclaw, or Parkinson, or just any other girl, then you donât?â You asked, acting as confident in front him as you could.
âFor fucks sake, itâs because I like you Y/N, donât you get it? I genuinely like you! I left âcause youâre not like those girls. âCause youâre actually important to me!â
You pondered for a second, lowering your eyes to look at your heels instead of his face. Your heart thumped loudly inside your chest.
You looked up again.
Took a step forward.
And smashed your lips against his.
Your eyes closed as he didnât waste any more to kiss you back and finally, you felt safe again. With that fuzzy and warm feeling in your stomach and his lips against yours.
âThis dress looks so perfect on you.â His hands steadied on your waist, pushing you lightly against the wall. He kissed down your neck, your skin feeling hot. You began playing with his hair as your body relaxed under his touch. You didnât care about the rain wiping off your makeup. Or about you clothes being absolutely drenched. Nothing mattered other than having him close to you.
âI like you too, Theo.â
His lips parted from your neck, instead he gave you a small peck on your lips, before embracing you in a tight hug, smiling into your hair.
And neither of you let go.
âYouâre shivering, want my jumper?â
âRed doesnât go well with green.â
âNah, I think it does.â
last part makes more sense as gryffindor!reader but whatever, I hope you liked it!

love tropes with the bat family
characters: bruce wayne, richard "dick" grayson, barbara gordon, jason todd, timothy "tim" drake, stephanie brown, cassandra cain, duke thomas, and damian wayne
bruce wayne
arranged marriage
⢠the marriage was arranged by his parents and your parents to merge the two most powerful families in gotham, providing both financial stability and social influence. bruce only went along with it because he wanted to honor his parentsâ last wishes.
⢠initially, there's a distance between the two of you. heâs so consumed by his quest for justice and his role as batman, that he doesnât really have the time to truly get to know you. meanwhile, youâre just trying to understand your role in his life.
⢠publicly, the two of maintain the appearance of the perfect, high-society couple, attending galas and charity events. behind closed doors, the two of you sleep in separate beds and barely talk to one another.
⢠alfred becomes a mentor and confidant to the both of you, helping your navigate your new life together and offering uncle iroh level advice.
⢠it isnât until you get hurt, that he begins to realize the depth of his feelings for you.
⢠DEFINITELY says the, "who did this to you?" line.
⢠this marriage brings a new dynamic to his life. you have your own skills and resources and you become an integral part of his crime-fighting efforts.
⢠your presence in his life helps him heal emotionally, offering him a sense of family and home. this support strengthens him, making him a more balanced and effective hero.
⢠you both work towards a shared vision for gotham, combining your immense resources and influence to create lasting change, honoring the legacies of both your families. <33
richard "dick" grayson
you fell first, he fell harder
⢠charming and attractive, itâs hard to not fall in love with dick grayson. heâll flirt and send compliments someoneâs way, effectively tampering with their feelings. itâs no surprise when you find yourself having romantic feelings for him.
⢠despite your best efforts to keep your feelings hidden, dick starts noticing the little thingsâhow you laugh at his jokes a bit too eagerly, how your eyes linger on him a bit longer, and how you're always there to lend a hand.
⢠as you spend more time together, you can't help but be more obvious about your feelings. you find excuses to be near him, offer to help with his missions, and bring him coffee during late-night patrols.
⢠one day, during a particularly dangerous mission, you do something reckless to save him. thatâs the final push he needs to confront and confess his feelings for you.
⢠ANGRY LOVE CONFESSIONS>>>
⢠he never noticed you. but now that he had, he couldn't un-notice you.
⢠once you find your way into his heart, itâs hard for him to let you go. more and more, he starts finding himself constantly wishing for your presence.
⢠he constantly tells you how much you mean to him and how he can't imagine his life without you.
⢠this man met you, fell in love with you, and has been falling ever since. <33
barbara gordon
the korrasami trope (i didnât know what else to call it)
⢠both of you had feelings for dick, but he ultimately chose you. after he made his decision, she began to act extremely cold towards you.
⢠despite this, you constantly went out of your way to ensure that she didnât feel left out. you included her in activities and made an effort to show her that your relationship with dick didnât have to affect your friendship with her.
⢠she becomes jealous when she sees you and dick together and for the longest time, she thought she was jealous of you because you were him. she soon realizes that she was actually jealous of HIM because he was with you.
⢠during the times when dick was busy with his duties as nightwing, the two of you would often find yourselves alone together. these moments of forced proximity brought you closer, and thatâs when she started to develop feelings for you.
⢠you start to notice subtle changes in her behavior around you. she becomes more attentive, goes out of her way to spend time with you, and shows a genuine interest in your well-being.
⢠she struggles with her feelings for you, torn between her loyalty to dick because of their friendship and her growing love for you.
⢠girlie is down HORRENDOUSLY for you. <33
jason todd
enemies to lovers
⢠you hate jason, he hates you. just the thought of him irritates your whole being, shakes your bones in anger, his name leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.
â˘this man will NEVER stop bothering you, he likes to see you stressed out and angry, but he lowkey thinks itâs cute thatâs why he likes to piss you off.
⢠you intrigue him, when he started to bother you he was legit hating on you but as time flew by, he somehow liked your attention on him.
⢠being an annoying piece of shit= your attention.
⢠despite your differences and the fact that you and jason mixed like oil and water, on in the field, you guys grudgingly tolerated each other, working together to take out your enemies.
⢠the tension between the two of you is so thick that during mission briefs, bruce has to seat you guys across the room from each other, unless he wants to hear mumbled insults back and forth and glaring between you guys.
⢠the rest of the bat family teases the two of you relentlessly because theyâre convinced that you guys are the perfect match for one another (theyâre absolutely right).
⢠when he finally realizes that he has feelings for you, he tries to convince himself that he doesnât in fact like you romantically but that he was just admiring your skills in the field.
⢠he actually finds himself looking out for you on missions, even though he wonât be upfront about it.
⢠he becomes somewhat awkward to be around, and the rest of the bat family immediately capitalize off this to bully him with it. but regardless, he finds himself drifting towards you a bit more, and picking up on some of your habits. as much as he hates to admit it, he wants to know more about you. <33
timothy "tim" drake
friends to lovers
⢠tim heavily values trust and loyalty. as friends, youâve always been someone he can rely on, whether it's sharing secrets or working through problems together.
⢠despite being one of his best friends, he isn't overly expressive with his emotions. he shows his affection through small, thoughtful gestures â bringing you coffee, remembering your favorite snacks, or staying up late to help you with something.
⢠he gradually comes to the realization that he has feelings for you. once it hits him, he begins to avoid you, trying to process everything.
⢠however, he starts to get like physically sick because he misses you so much. plus, you called him to ask if they'd done anything wrong and the pain in your voice was too much for him to bear.
⢠it was impossible to ignore the change in his behaviour. for one, he couldn't speak to you in person without his face turning blindingly red. plus, not only does he struggle to look you in the eye, but he is also CONSTANTLY stuttering around you.
⢠when you decide to confront him about it, he kind of just blurts out that heâs in love to you. much to his genuine surprise (but literally no one else's), you told him that they loved him too.
⢠sometimes, he feels like an idiot for not saying or doing something about it sooner. you frequently tease him for not having picked up on his own feelings soonerâ but for once, he graciously accepts it. <33
stephanie brown
fake dating
⢠after your ex breaks up with you, steph devises a plan to get back at them and make them jealous.
⢠the two of you were already best friends so it couldnât be that hard. right? RIGHT?
⢠youâre both aware that damian doesnât buy your little arrangement one bit. he just doesnât believe that the two of you are dating because youâre such good friends. (and they were roommates!!!)
⢠steph has this raging pride when it comes to damian, so sheâs made it her personal mission to convince him that you and her are actually dating.
⢠it takes a while for you two to get into the hang of it, but once you do, itâs like a regular routine.
⢠steph would definitely fall for you first. sheâd hide her feelings behind your little charade, until the fake dating stuff starts extending into the time you two share together when no one else is watching.
⢠she still gravitates towards you on the couch when everyone has left after dinner at your place, pressing kisses to your cheek when she leaves even though everyone else is already gone. thereâs no need to continue acting like this but she does.
⢠the fake dating thing really starts hurting her because she thinks that you donât really like her like that (you do) but its nice to pretend that you do in those moments, that itâs all real even though it's not.
⢠the people who know of your secret knows that steph has fallen for you (except for steph herself, and you because you refuse to believe it).
⢠like, come on, sheâs your BEST FRIEND (side eye). the two of you are idiots in love.
⢠the moment she realizes sheâs in love with you is on another one of those dates that you both know you donât have to go on but still choose to have anyway (your ex is already clearly jealous).
⢠sheâs been getting this small tugging feeling with you a lot over these past few months.
⢠now she finally realizes itâs because sheâs in love with you. <33
cassandra cain
childhood best friends to lovers
⢠growing up, you became adept at reading her body language and expressions, creating a deep, intuitive understanding between the two of you.
⢠as kids, you both trained together, pushing each other to become stronger and better. these sessions were filled with friendly competition, laughter, and mutual support.
⢠you two had a secret hideout where you would escape to whenever the world felt overwhelming. it was a place filled with memories, laughter, and dreams for the future.
⢠whenever she had nightmares or struggled with her past, you were always there to comfort her. your presence became a source of peace and security for her.
⢠you both shared a love for a watching old martial arts films and cooking together. these activities brought you even closer over the years.
⢠once she was settled into her new life with the bat family, she reconnected with you over lunch and there was a moment where it all clicked. her heart nearly gave out the moment she saw you walk through the cafe door and smiled at her.
⢠she was in love with you. she had been for a while now. but back then, she had taken your presence for granted. it was something she just expected to be there. but now? now it was different. now it made sense.
⢠it was a very natural progression from a friendship to a relationship. she felt safe with you, and she never had to worry about being misunderstood. after everything that sheâs been through, you were the person who stood by her through all of it. <33
duke thomas
brotherâs best friend
⢠one thing about you and duke is that you can both take a secret to your grave.
⢠no one ever finds about him sneaking out of your brotherâs room during their weekend sleepovers, to cuddle up to you on your bed.
⢠no one finds out about the secret dates you go on in the next town over, so that you donât get caught.
⢠no one finds out about the secret phones you both use to contact each other.
⢠if you have to be in the same room together, heâs not even making any eye contact with you. itâs better to ignore each other in public.
⢠it would be WAY too obvious that the two of you are dating.
⢠when you guys are seven months into the relationship, cuddling on his bed, he asks "how long do you want to keep us a secret?"
⢠to which you reply, "not any longer than you want to."
⢠so yeah, you can both keep a secretâ until you decide you want to share it to the world.
⢠your brother is disgusted, but happy for you. emphasis on disgusted tho. <33
damian wayne
academic rivals to lovers (except heâs been in love with you this whole time)
⢠damian has always admired you from afar. everything from your biting wit to your competitive spirit always made his heart flutter. falling in love with you was almost inevitable.
⢠sarcastic, creative remarks as comebacks to one anotherâs argument, teasing and joking words that lead to banters and bickering.
you: "are you reading?"
damian: "itâs amazing how you have eyes but never see the use of them."
⢠you donât know if itâs due to your clashing beliefs and ideas that you two just canât get along. or is it because he just refuses to do so? eitherway, he still irks you off in multiple ways. even when itâs just the sound of his breathing.
⢠the two of you compete against each other in terms of being the best among you, as such your relationship is treated as something simply born and made by a competition, an unnatural way to form a connection with another but thatâs just how it is.
⢠the fact that you two work really well when it comes to projects and research is something that canât be denied. even when there are countless arguments being shared because of differences in opinion, you two still end up getting the work done flawlessly.
⢠despite everything, there was never a time that you two have touched on a sensitive subject while arguing or have you two have said anything personal and mean that it crossed the line. itâs just some useless and close-to-nothing banters that always occurâ becoming a part of your daily routine.
⢠and of course, the two of you donât lose your sense of academic "rivalry" when you two start dating. <33
