Looking in the notes of my posts, I didn't realise everyone in this fandom liked math so much. But a very mention of the number 4, and everyone likes square numbers and math puns. Go figure.

I can't stop thinking of an AU where instead of killing Lenore Dove, Snow has her arrested for her 'crimes' and sent to the capitol to become an avox. A fate that, to her at least, is probably much worse.

Maybe Snow has her work in the tribute center too. Every year she can see Haymitch, and he can see her, but they are not able to touch, or talk. No comfort, just a reminder of what you can't have.

It is a threat, how he keeps Haymitch in line. The reminder that he can, at any time, make Lenore Dove's life worse. Haymitch spends years and years trying to think of a way to get her out, to save her, and keeps coming up with nothing. At least until the main trilogy.

Wouldn't that be, like, the worst, most fucked up, and tragic AU?

i guess the sweetrobin stuff hits hard for me because bran and tyrion aren’t SICK they are physically disabled and this does come with it’s own illness issues (like some of tyrion’s pain issues) but it’s very different from sweetrobin’s epilepsy. the next seizure could kill him. they affect his development, and then a lot of his behavioral issues worsen because lysa babies him, so everything is doubling down and getting worse.

when we get him through catelyn’s pov, there’s just a very sick feeling to the whole thing because of her prior relationship with lysa but with sansa, she had no opinion of any of them, this is how they’ve always been. and with sweetrobin, what she sees right away is he’s just like, this sick kid. and this mom is killed and now he’s just this sick, sad kid. and i think sansa loves him in a more or less functional way, for probably the first time in his life, so she gives him structure and sets boundaries that sort of force him to start emotionally & behaviorally maturing finally, but he’s still just a small sick kid. the seizures will always be a problem with the knowledge of medicine they have. he’s going to be sick forever and everyone thinks that means he’s better off dead, and then here comes sansa who thinks to herself that she hopes his wife will like his hair - she sees a future for him, at least. just one person who isn’t quite literally waiting around for him to die and all because he is not dealing gracefully with his seizures, as a child.

The Crown Keeper and Fearne&Orym reunion is going to be very interesting because you have Fearne, who hesitated to take the shard because of the impact seeing dark!Fearne had on her, possibly seeing Opal again.. like this. She gets a front row seat to one of her very good friends heading down that path of corruption that she herself was scared of.

Then you have the Crown Keepers just seeing the toll these last few months have had on Orym and Fearne. I wonder if there would be any guilt from Dorian, knowing he left and came back to such a drastic change.

That Orym did get the answers he was looking for and he is crumbling under the weight of them. That Fearne has had to experience so much more loss and anger in these last few months than she had in over 100 years and she still doesn't know what to do with some of these feelings.

Batfam timeline

I made a timeline for the Batfamily and it worked out surprisingly well:

In short/ words:

Bruce was 8 when his parents died, 20 when he took in a 9 year old Dick. Barbara became Batgirl a year later with 13. Dick moves out with 18 and Bruce gets empty nest syndrome and adopts an 11 year old Jason.

Jason dies with 16 and Tim forces his way into becoming Robin with 12. Stephanie becomes Spoiler a year later with 14 (so she's a year older than Tim) while Bane breaks Bruce's (35y/o) back. Cass becomes Batgirl a year later with 15, she's a year older than Tim and 3 younger than Jason.

A year later Jason returns to Gotham with 19 and tries to kill a 15 y/o Tim. Two years later Damian enters the family with 10 and tries to kill a 17 y/o Tim.

The next year Bruce 'dies' with 40. Dick is 29 when Bruce is 'dead' and he takes care of an 11 year old Damian (Bruce was 29 when he took care of an 11 year old Jason).

Duke joins the family when Bruce returns the next year, he's 16.

So at the present (let's ignore Alfred's death) Alfred is 71, Bruce 41, Barbara 33, Dick 30, Jason 23, Cass and Steph 20, Tim 19, Duke 16 and Damian 12.

...but I feel like this is not just a "I'd have two nickels," situation, I think Renji really is the designated shouter for situations where everyone wants to stand around and do a two-page spread look cool. Is it because he won the All-Gotei Trash Talking Championship, or is this one of those things like tenteikura and opening senkaimon that are just traditional lieutenant duties? He's the only lieutenant present in the first situation. In the second, and in the second, he's the only lieutenant whose...captain is present?

He's also very tall and projects well. Ikkaku is also good at hollerin', but he this happens two panels later, so it's unsurprising that he's been banned from spokesperson duties:

I ask because I've seen a lot of people saying that reading the books for the first time in Chronological order ruins the experience. I find this interesting because I just finished reading them for the first time in Chronological order and I feel it heightened my experience.
