One of the reasons I want an Athena-focused game so badly is because of her dynamic with the judge. Often times the penalties from the judge or dismissals from the prosecution feel unfair, but then we get someone like Athena who is just immediately taking off with the most out of pocket bullshit from the word go and— even when her own co-counsel thinks she’s lost it— the judge is like nah. Let her cook. And then she turns out to be right

Apollo says “can we please agree that the blind 14-year old didn’t shoot a revolver that has a kickback that would break a grown man’s arm?” and the judge is like “no and fuck you for even suggesting that” and then Athena walks in with a record holding amount of HIPPA violations to go ask someone about their crush and make a bondage joke in full earshot of the entire courthouse and the judge is like “yeah sure that’s fine. This’ll be funny anyway please continue”. He lets her get away with so much and I want a whole game of her shenanigans

The frustrating thing is so many kids think Shakespeare is boring because it’s being taught badly to them. These were PLAYS. They weren’t meant to be read, they were meant to be performed and viewed!! If you read the screenplay of your favorite movie, it’s still not going to have the same impact as watching it! Start with teaching the students the basics of understanding the language, then watch a fairly straight forward adaptation of the work, then read the work, then watch a more wild adaptation that really stretches what you can do with the Bard (Romeo + Juliet, She’s the Man, Throne of Blood, etc.) THAT is the way to get students to engage with Shakespeare.

I don't think Oak exactly understands that he's Dain and Liriope's child, and was raised by Oriana, Heather and Vivi, and not Cardan and Jude's lovechild. Delilah probably? Goes to school? (Maybe she does? she has homework) so I keep thinking about her getting into like, a school play or something. They're doing hamlet, she gets the role of Claudius (Anji thinks she should've gotten Hamlet), they're going over her lines together at home and Baiken is occasionally tuning in to bits and pieces like a dad who pretends to not be interested in whatever you're watching but is still invested anyway.
