I wish canon had focused more on Nico and Hazel being plunked straight out of the 1940s into the modern era.
Alright, so Nico was younger, and he's had more time to get used to things than Hazel. But he's been living mostly at one of the camps or in the Underworld. He should still be surprised by some thing in the mortal world.
And Hazel, oh, Hazel....Nico brought her out of the Underworld to Camp Jupiter, which has very little mortal modern things (there might have been a gap of a day or two while they traveled, but not that much, considering Nico can shadow travel and there's an entrance to the Underworld in California), and she barely left until SON. She should be surprised by everything in the modern mortal world. The quest in SON should've had a lot more "This food cost how much?!" and "Do all cars look like that? How do they go so fast? Why are there so many? You mean there are busy highways like the one outside camp everywhere?" and "What kind of boat is this? It looks so strange," and "Phineas is by those food trucks, you say? What exactly is a food truck?" and so on.
the thing about nico is that he was memoryless when he re-appeared into the modern world. that and 10 y/os aren't too wise about inflation. so like, to him, whatever he saw that half-year in westover (plus whatever he remembered from the casino which was rather updated in tech) is what he assumes is the world now. by the time his memories pop-up again, then he'd probably just think of the old world as antiquated
there's one thing I'd point out as shocking and that's the speed at which the world moves these days. ask your grandparents, great-grandparents if you have them, they lived polio times and then like two decades later the man went to the moon.. the way new tech advances would blow nico and hazel's mind right off!! nico has the same phone since 2012 and is like 'it works, why'd I change it?'
hazel would be freaked out about the world, tho, she actually has memories to compare it to. not just money-wise, but society too, my US knowledge is limited at best but wasn't she from a hella racist part of the country? she'd be happy about having y'know.. rights

So, out of curiosity, what's Zoe's set up in the Zodiac Heroes story? Is she still Chloe's half-sister, or are they full siblings? Is she a stepkid, an affair baby, or maybe an orphan/adopted kid the Bourgeois family adopted for good PR and only really picked her specifically because she just happened to look like she could fit in with family (appearance wise)
So, this answer will also extend into the future Rewrite, as Zoe's whole thing is (from what I've heard and gathered) is really vague, confusing, and inconsistent.
But Zoe I'm ultimately going to go with being a stepsister, as, ultimately, it really feels like Audrey and Andre should just straight up be divorced. And Zoe just wants to keep and get along with her stepsister, which is why she joins her stepmom to Paris to connect with this extended family.
I think that's the best solution working off them being sisters, and the messy relationship that is Andre and Audrey, and working off Audrey being gone for so long. Especially as the wife of the mayor of Paris, I would expect the spouse of a big political figure to be more present. So them being divorced just makes sense, and it can work off Andre spoiling Chloe even more to make up for it, plus she's now the remaining precious family member in his life.
I will say, I did consider having Chloe and Zoe being cousins, having Audrey's last name be Lee and Mr Lee is her brother; but wasn't really sold on the idea. I think I'd rather do that for the Couffaines, especially as I did think Jagged was potentially Anarka's younger brother and he just felt younger than her (so canon's choice of making him the dad was so awkward, and from the little I've seen, I don't really like it so I'd rather skip out on that romantic history from Anarka and Jagged, just overhaul it).
And, yeah, recently, adoption came to mind, given what I learned recently on how s5 ends. Only thing, by set up, that can give Zoe a lot of attention and investment plot wise, and this is a character I just don't really have strong feelings for, and I'm not that interested in her at all. I also don't like the outcome of Andre adopting Zoe.
Like, wth ML crew.
I know Mr Lee isn't really brought up much, and we don't know anything about him as a person or parent, but he was established. But you can't just hand wave away his existence so Andre can adopt her. If this is keeping Zoe in Paris, just have her attend school abroad.
And I also call bs on Andre dropping the monster of his own creation for a "better" child. I know Audrey gets a lot of rightful blame for how Chloe turned out, but between the two, I blame Andre more as he's the active parent in her life, and we see he spoils and enables her. To me, he's more at fault for how Chloe came out as he actually raised her. He can't just wash his hands of her and have a different kid. That's not how it works.
Especially when this show confirms over and over again how terrible he is as a person. Honestly, this whole family sucks. Andre should've just ended up in jail for corruption. I don't like this route of him being a victim/the good Bourgeois cause no, he's terrible. He's freaking ending s5 kidnapping a kid. And given his history of parenting, I'm not sure I'm going to like where Zoe ends up.
Anyway, the adoption thing could've been better if Mr Lee didn't exist and Zoe was an orphan and picked for publicity and because she looked like she could fit in, but they didn't plan far enough ahead for that. And I guess decided they liked Andre enough to be officially adopt Zoe?
But that set up does mean she should get a lot of attention for her situation and I am just not invested in her that much.
So, stepsisters it is!
Attending school in Paris for at least a year (for ZH anyway, not for Rewrite as Zoe is not going to stay) and to get a chance to bond with her sister. It just makes the most sense to me given her initial intro, Audrey and Andre's relationship and them being divorced just makes more sense, and you can still get that same sort of drama you expect between the two very suddenly now sisters.

Which bendy protagonist do you like more? Henry stein or Audrey drew?
Having played BATIM and BATDR back to back and trying to block out the bias of BATIM...
Henry.
Don't get me wrong, I do like Audrey, but her story simply fails her in so many ways. When we stepped into the world of the studio in Henry's shoes, we were seeing everything for the first time and that was taken into account. It's been a long time since he's been there, things have grown out of control in his absence, and he's just as confused as the viewer is.
BATDR is made with the assumption that we already know the world of BATIM, but Audrey is a new character coming down this rabbit hole, if BATIM was a story Joey was telling her, she should've been remembering things about that story along the way, but she wasn't.
While he's quiet and reserved for the sake of the players' reactions taking priority over his own, they do speak their own volumes as he is a man who, whether he knows it or not, has grown used to this chaotic limbo as he himself no longer screams in the sight of monsters.
Audrey's characterization on the other hand confuses me. She's not in a loop, so why doesn't she freak out more often? She has a model of her own unlike Henry which to me implies that she's her own person instead of a named vessel which we use as our guide like Henry was, but that. is. not. utilized! Also part of me kinda hates that we got a canon human Henry design. Don't get me wrong, it's not *bad* but its existence in general undoes part of the fun about Henry being just a voice we could move.
Where Henry's ties to Joey exist for the purpose of leading him to hell, Audrey's ties to Joey exist for the purpose of badly sweeping Joey's issues under the rug and she lacks proper ties to the true antagonist of this story: Wilson. Audrey might be Joey's daughter, Wilson might be the son of Nathan Arch, but these two do not have a proper connection other than passerby coworkers so it makes little sense for him to be the one who leads her to the ink realm unless the connection of their fathers is properly utilized. ...Which it wasn't.
Honestly, I just feel bad that BATDR Failed Audrey so much. Imagine if she got to remember the repeated story of her childhood instead of just random things that might not even be HER memories, imagine if she had the chance to resent her father for the crimes against everyone, including her brother, imagine if the ties between her and Wilson meant more than 'I need your heart to make my OC real', imagine if the section in Wilson's mansion was MORE than a fetch quest interrupted by Malice...

getting nice b-movie comments yahoooo
i'm really happy i'm writing b-movie like i know my interpretation of bobby and his past is probably far from the norm or typical headcanons, and yeah although campster isn't 'canon' it's still a wealth of information and goldmine for the other campers. i think it's important to explore what's left to extrapolate from how bobby and other kids are perceived in-game and on campster because it gives more personal tidbits in to why they act they way they do. clem's father is abusive, so he hides his cynicism behind a veil of humor. elka clings to nils because she doesn't want to fall apart like her parents, as she saw it firsthand with her foresight, how they will get divorced, and maybe feels like she brought their reckoning for revealing the affair. just going back to bobby and raz, they share a commonality in familial issues, and the fact that bobby reacts so swiftly to raz venomously saying, "circus freak," is incredibly telling. how he stops on a dime to really listen to someone who can understand him and how he feels about being rejected for his powers is such a great, minor character moment. it's the way that they *could've* been friends based on those similarities, based on how bobby seems to have gone through a wringer just like raz both inside of camp and back home.
but bobby is not like raz. he is not someone who reaches out for help. he is not someone who looks at a problem from all angles. he's angry and stubborn and full of malice that he wants to spread to others through bullying, for a chance to laugh at a loser and know that he isn't in their spot. he just sees raz as someone who got everything he wanted, spying from a distance, without ever coming close to see what was really happening - and raz, too, wouldn't let him because of his own frustrations toward bobby. i think writing that inevitable build-up of bobby's stress and strife and self-loathing, finding the worst possible outlet on raz, was a choice that i'm glad i made. because bobby won't reach out his hand. bobby would rather lash out and assume and blame others while knowing it's still himself deep down and letting that feeling fester in his head.
and when his only outside persona is someone cruel, it's only natural others would continue to perceive him that way and misinterpret the only good friendship he ever really had. because bobby's walls are too high, and he had to be the one to throw tomatoes at anyone trying to reach him whose name wasn't chloe. except raz is not like bobby in that regard. it doesn't matter how many tomatoes bobby throws, whether it's himself or the culmination of his misery now actively taking a roll in harming raz - raz is not someone who got everything he wanted like bobby had thought; raz is someone who really wants to offer his hand to someone he realizes should've been helped sooner, even if he never said anything.
#RAMBLING ASIDE - i was gonna have this all in the notes but then i went off#bobby's b-movie#raz#bobby

Re: your impeccable review
I thought the same thing about the FBI, why wasn't there the typical canon conflict between feds and state or even a mention of the related offices like you said for some realism to the nature of this case? I mean there were FBI agents at the freaking house working in the background, why even have them there then?!
I loved that Sam Waterston had more screen time and lines. I like that they got his real daughter to be on the show and act in the role. but her character omg, i feel it's not even close to being in Mccoy's bloodline as a lawyer with her obvious ignoring of the law and teary eyed pleading in her role as defense attorney and response to Jack when losing the case. also, as @connie-rubirosa already brought up, she's a lawyer and nobody heard about this before? Jack would be telling everyone that since she was in law school, come on. (and even Jack didn't know she's trying murder cases now?)
the "damn you" at the ending from Rebecca just played weird for me, too soap opera like, and ugh seems so overt without any real justification. the writers didn't offer anything to make that anger/ hurt more believable. the emotional absence and Jack's focus on work is the most plausible relationship strain, as you said, but why is there so much hostility from Rebecca when what we last heard from S18 - 20 was that they were on better terms.
Nolan's past traumatic experience was an obvious bias, so I don't think he really should've even been trying the case in the first place. then he needs a recess due to his own emotional reaction and goes further downhill. where is the basic premise of we only look at the case and the law and we prosecute? This caselaw was cut and dry. then they write Nolan to fail to even have a reality check on how much he's failing at doing his job with his clouded judgement. I thought Sam should've stepped in and finished the trial, if he couldn't handle it. trauma is completely valid but Nolan should be able to compartmentalize something at his job or know to step away from the case.
Price's cross examinations are weak, imo and never point out obvious facts from the case that establish intent, guilt and obvious support of the prosecution's charge. I'm always talking to the screen, now saying, are you going to mention this Nolan? the video about coming back for the car, and the lake bit weren't even brought up! The summations or lack thereof on the revival is so disappointing. those strong thoughtful closing arguments are where key points can be made.
Like what you wrote!! all of it was so great, and those dialogue bits got me missing Michael Cutter tenfold!!!!
For all TWO (maybe THREE) of you in the Law & Order fandom.
A review of Law & Order, Season 22, episode 22...
This episode left me absolutely frustrated.
We got a manhunt, a red herring, and a chase in the first 20 minutes!
I feel like the assassination of a United States Senator was, again, way too big for the show. You'd think the FBI would be involved? I mean, even Jack and the NYPD Commissioner being on the phone with the US Attorney General would have been NICE, maybe having a bit of an argument about jursidiction would have helped.
I was skeptical about the cop-half being done in 20 minutes and… my skepticism was right.
Things I can appreciate: The increased screentime for Sam Waterston, who was allowed to show his acting chops this particular episode. He did a hell of a job as usual. The pain on Jack's face was palpable at the end.
The casting of Katherine Waterston as his daughter? Also really appreciate.
It's hard saying who this episode was written for becaause, unless you watched the series prior to the revival, and followed Jack's life through the bits of info that were peppered in, the hostility between the McCoys was too implicit? What we know about Jack is: While he certainly wasn't abusive like his own father, he probably wasn't as involved or emotionally available as a parent because he was so career-driven (and let's not forget the three other relationships he had with his assistants that did not lead to marriage). This was probably severely exacerbated when Jack and Ellen got divorced. Could I see Jack absolutely prioritizing a case over his daughter's dance recital or soccer game? Yeah. And let's be real, I'd imagine the types of cases Jack handled probably wore him out emotionally as well.
So, I loved the acting and conflict between the McCoys and the Waterstons did a great job ACTING. But the writing…
First of all, I cannot suspend my disbelief that Rebecca would talk to Jack and ASK Jack for a favor regarding a case where they are on opposite sides. Okay, Jack McCoy was not the paragon of good and ethical behavior, but he's the DA now. Her going through Price? Yeah, I think that's fine. Second, why would she think her dad would cut her any kind of break in this case. A UNITED STATES SENATOR WAS ASSASSINATED?! Her anger at her own father really clouded her legal judgment. I was really kind of hoping for an "Under the Influence" moment where she realizes just how ineffectual she was and ask for a mistrial or something. But nope.
Second of all, Price needs to be fired. That Man 1 Plea would have gotten Jack tossed from office so fast. If your legal judgment is clouded for personal reasons because you witnessed the immediate aftermath of a mass shooting… maybe you shouldn't be prosecuting the case (I miss Cutter).
What's frustrating is this episode had a real chance to be good and the acting was great. It's just the writing, like the entirety of this revival, has rarely ever matched the level of the acting the cast can bring.
I got SO frustrated while watching this episode I started writing snippets of dialogue about how Michael Cutter would've handled this case in Discord DMs with my best friend (we watch the show as it airs).
Jack & Mike talking after arraignment.
Cutter: Has your daughter talked to you about the case? Jack: … Cutter: Jack, I gotta subpoena you. Jack: What the hell are you talking about? Cutter: If she approached you, ex parte for anything, that shows a conflict of interest in this case and it's easier to remove her as a defense attorney than argue for a change of venue.
Now let's say that didn't working and the hearing goes against the state, Mike and Rebecca talking in the court after the judge has ruled.
Rebecca: What the hell are you doing, Cutter? Cutter: Trying to protect your father. Seems to be I'm the only one trying around here. *walks away*
Cutter cross-examining Quinn. Yes, this is badgering but that's like… normal for the show.
Cutter: You weren't in your right mind? Why did you turn to run? Quinn: I don't know. Cutter: Why did you run to the park, then change direction and blend into the city? Quinn: I don't know. Cutter: Why did you wait the night to come back, when no one was around, for your car? *plays video* Quinn: I don't know! Cutter: *Pauses video of him getting into car* Looks to me like you knew exactly what were you to try to evade capture. Quinn: I STILL GOT CAUGHT! Cutter: Only because you're not a pro. But isn't that the point, Mr. Quinn. That these weapons *holds up gun* can make even the most amateur individual an assassin? Isn't this what you fought against? Isn't this why you became a gun control activist? Rebecca: OBJECTION Cutter: Withdrawn! Nothing further.
Cutter's closing argument, partial.
Cutter: Mr. Quinn's anger is justified, yes. His trauma is valid, yes. But that doesn't not give him the right to kill someone in cold blood. At the end of the day, he was an angry man. Angry at the world. Angry at that the society that wronged and failed him. Valid feelings or not… isn't this the basic motivation of every mass shooter the last 30 years. Isn't this what Mr. Quinn's crusade as a gun control activist supposed to stop? I can't think of any bigger perversion of one's crusade than becoming what you fight against. You can have empathy, for Mr. Quinn. You can sympathize for him and regret the pain he feels. You can feel angry at the government, at society, at the NRA. But what about empathy for Senator Chandler's family. His daughter? Who saw her father gunned down… at her own wedding. Are we supposed to ignore the pain of the victims? Mr. Quinn certainly felt people were ignoring his pain, like many mass shooters have… and like many mass shooters, he turned outward and inflicted it on everyone else. And that… is not diminished capacity. That is not mental defect. That is not, "I don't know." This was planned. He had time to think about it. To realize his own anger might make him do something terrible… and still went ahead with it. And tried to hide after he killed a man in front of his own daughter. That's murder, plain and simple.

For the ultimate ship meme pairing: Katniss and Peeta
Ohh this is going to be fun. I'm not sure if I should do this as canon or my version of Everlark. Let's see how it goes.
General:
Rate the Ship - Awful | Ew | No pics pls | I’m not comfortable | Alright | I like it! | Got Pics? | Let’s do it! | Why is this not getting more attention?! | The OTP to rule all other OTPs
How long will they last? 4EVA
How quickly did/will they fall in love? It wasn't right away for Katniss. For Peeta, it was definitely infatuation at first, but I think the more he got to know her, the harder he started to fall. For Katniss, it was Peeta's constant shows of affection and his gaining her trust that caused her to slowly fall for him. Then one day, it just clicked.
How was their first kiss? Very public. To them, however, their first kiss in their home in Victors' Village was the one that counted.
Wedding:
Who proposed? Him...then her...they kept proposing to each other until one day they decided to go to the Justice Building and just do it. Effie was pissed and insisted on throwing them a real frou-frou wedding in District 12. For sanity's sake, they both agreed...until Katniss saw the diamond-encrusted wedding train.
Who is the best man/men? Haymitch, but he wears a poppy in his lapel for the men who should've been there.
Who is the braid’s maid(s)? Annie. She insisted since Katniss helped her during her wedding. Also, she gives Katniss the veil she wore during her own wedding.
Who did the most planning? Effie
Who stressed the most? Haymitch, because of Effie's nagging. Also, Katniss because the thought of being looked at freaked her out.
How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big.
Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? Everyone was invited. Including certain individuals in District 2. Unfortunately, said person was unable to attend due to work obligations. He sent a bouquet of primroses to the bride and jade cufflinks for the groom to wear.
Sex:
Who is on top? Katniss first, but once things get really heated, Peeta fully takes control. Katniss never realized how much she enjoyed being dominated until that one time...
Who is the one to instigate things? There are little signals that each of them gives when they're in the mood. Katniss will wear his pajama tops and nothing else when they go to bed. Peeta will tease throughout the day, a kiss on the neck or a slight brush on the bare skin at her waist.
How healthy is their sex life? - Barely touch themselves let alone each other | 2 | 3 | 4 | Once a couple weeks, nothing overboard | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They are humping each other on the couch right now
How kinky are they? - Straight missionary with the lights off | 2 | 3 | 4 | Might try some butt stuff and toys | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Don’t go into the sex dungeon without a horse’s head
How long do they normally last? When it was just them, they could be in bed for hours. When the kids are born, as quickly as they can come before one of the kids wakes up and runs into their room.
Do they make sure each person gets an equal amount of orgasms? Yes. Their motto is You Come, I Come.
How rough are they in bed? - Softer than a butterfly on the back of a bunny | 2 | 3 | 4 | The bed’s shaking and squeaking every time | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Their dirty talk is so vulgar it’d make Dwayne Johnson blush. Also, the wall’s so weak it could collapse the next time they do it.
How much cuddling/snuggling do they do? - No touching after sex | 2 | 3 | 4 | A little spooning at night, or on the couch, but not in public | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They snuggle and kiss more often than a teen couple on their fifth date to a pillow factory.
Children:
How many children will they have naturally? 2, but they're trying for another.
How many children will they adopt? If the opportunity arose, they would gladly do it.
Who gets stuck with the most diapers? Peeta, because Katniss had to carry them. It's only fair.
Who is the stricter parent? Katniss, but she caves once they crawl on her lap and kiss her.
Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? Both, especially because their girl is a real rebel--wonder where she got that from...
Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? They pack them together.
Who is the more loved parent? Both
Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings? They would both go.
Who cried the most at graduation? Peeta, but Katniss did right before while she was helping the graduate get ready.
Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? Katniss--don't f**k with her kids.
Cooking:
Who does the most cooking? Peeta. Katniss tries but it always ends up being a mess.
Who is the most picky in their food choice? Neither, because they know how it feels to be hungry.
Who does the grocery shopping? They do Costco runs together.
How often do they bake desserts? Daily for Peeta.
Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? Both.
Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? Peeta, but Katniss will surprise Peeta with dinner reservations.
Who is more likely to suggest going out? Katniss, especially after the roasted chicken incident. She never figured out why the bird exploded.
Who is more likely to burn the house down accidently while cooking? Katniss.
Chores:
Who cleans the room? Katniss
Who is really against chores? Neither.
Who cleans up after the pets? Both, but Buttercup always leaves little surprises around Katniss' things.
Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? Both
Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? Neither.
Who found a dollar between the couch cushions while cleaning? Peeta
Misc:
Who takes the longer showers/baths? Katniss. On bad days, Peeta will draw her a bubble bath.
Who takes the dog out for a walk? Both, it's when they have the best talks.
How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? Christmas is a definite. However, Peeta is known to go all out for Valentine's. Katniss is definitely trying to go for the scariest house on the block during Halloween.
What are their goals for the relationship? To support and make one another a better person and parent.
Who is most likely to sleep till noon? Peeta, especially after a busy day at the bakery.
Who plays the most pranks? Both, on Haymitch

i have created a chart of dsmp parallels i have noticed
/rp /dsmp
explanations below
dream -> skeppy
this ones weird, but if you watch early dsmp clips it makes sense. dream indirectly learned to use emotional attachments over people because of skeppy, and skeppy showed signs that are similar to dream's current character before dream did. i.e. expressing a desire to manipulate tommy (albeit skeppy nor bad acted on this despite discussing it with eachother) and explicitly promoting war and chaos.
adding onto this, skeppy has always wanted control over the server. this is something he basically proved with his own words. (he clarified that the discs have all the control on the server, and then proceeded to try and trade for all of the discs from dream right after saying that using spirit's leather) he also, much like dream, has no emotional attachments but his one exception is badboyhalo as far as we know
bad -> dream
this one is pretty obvious in eggpire bad. in fact, it's so obvious that puffy even writes in her captain's log that he's starting to act like dream- because he is. eggpire bad is very openly manipulative, but what's ironic is that bad before/after the egg arc was manipulative anyways. (l'sandburg, badlands stuff basically, that shit apology he gave for the egg arc that was literally just him dealing with guilt in the worst way possible aka scapegoating ant)
a lot of his parallels to dream are essentially the same parallels that dream makes to skeppy, but there are still some small extra ones. for example, bad canonically steals a lot of people's things and keeps them in his vault... but unlike dream he tries to avoid taking things that are emotional attachments.
also he's broken the rules of his own faction before. l'sandburg was voted to be an outpost by ant and sam (which would overrule his vote to make it an embassy, because that's how their direct democracy or whatever works) only for him to keep stating that it's an embassy and that it belongs to him and skeppy specifically... which is just an abuse of power tbf, my guy is kinda a tyrant-
also bd island is similar to the skeppy jail. ironically. my guy isolated skeppy on an island because the skeppy jail and the egg freaked him tf out when he literally just made the equivalent of the skeppy jail and then pulled a mild exile card on skeppy and basically refused to tell him why he was taking him there except for "you are bad at minecraft" (and no this was not presented in a lighthearted manner. this was presented in a "bad is trying to make skeppy feel inferior" manner.)
bad -> skeppy
this should've been expected. but besides everything mentioned in the two paragraphs above, there is actually more than previously mentioned. bad literally parallels early egg arc skeppy throughout the entire second half of the egg arc. they both deal with loss in reckless ways that ended up affecting most of the server because they can't just fucking communicate or cope properly, they both get very possessive and controlling of eachother if they feel threatened by any external force, they have the same goals and methods, they deny any sort of claim by anyone that they are mistreating eachother (skeppy yelling at puffy when she said he wasn't being emotionally supportive enough to bad, bad yelling at foolish when skeppy apparently wanted to move out (which was a lie btw haha))
karl -> red skeppy
red skeppy is marked as a seperate character here because 3/2 (a bd island stream) establishes skeppy and red skeppy to be two completely different individuals with their own thoughts and feelings about things. this parallel though is extremely obvious if you have watched bad's 4/18 stream and quackity's 11/27 lore stream. karl and red skeppy are both characters who act like absolute dickheads to their loved ones because of their brain being messed with. in karl's case, it's his memory loss from time travel, while in red skeppy's case, it's the egg literally possessing him (3/2 bd island stream has literally expressed the concept that the egg can physically take over c!skeppys body even if he's conscious and speaking. freaky shit.)
quackity -> bad
okay when i first started seeing this parallel back during the egg arc i was genuinely fucking scared. news flash: quackity paralleling him STILL scares me. i really shouldn't even have to explain how obvious 11/27 made this parallel, with them both losing a loved one to lava and having a serious argument with a loved one in one stream as already a major one. but something that's clear (and this is the part that scares me) is that quackity sees bad as this individual that can do no wrong when bad definitely is an individual who has done shitty things, and that's why im terrified when i see him essentially... following into bad's footsteps. because it makes me think, if he ever comes to the conclusion that he is acting like bad, and then has the conclusion that bad can do no wrong, what is that going to say about quackity's morals? like he's already pretty gray but how much would that belief allow him to justify far worse shit that he could possibly do in the future? yeahh...
sapnap -> happyduo
unironically picks up a lot of behaviors from these two. the pet killing probably came from skeppy as they both have a history of threatening/harming animals. despite that, sapnap has a ton of emotional attachments to pets just like how bad does. all three of them also don't really pick sides, but in happyduos case it's more like they're their own respective side and do whatever benefits them while sapnap properly does the people > sides thing.
quackity -> wilbur
pretty sure this has been pointed out like 6363663 times so im too lazy to explain it
sapnap <--> quackity
they do be kinda paralleling eachother like how happyduo does and im also too lazy to explain this either might edit this later
possible parallels:
sapnap - -> wilbur
has quoted him before for some reason, he called el rapids an "unfinished symphony" for example
wilbur - -> bad
has also quoted him before and nobody noticed it, him talking about there being a power vacuum with dream being in the prison and "turning over a new leaf" are both things eggpire bad has literally said
sapnap <- -> foolish
honestly i just want this parallel so bad. as characters they have a lot of similarities so far but i wish there was more. they both have a close individual in their life with memory issues, they both have a history of violence that they've been identified with by some people, they both have actively tried to be peaceful but now they can't, they both have sorta iffy relationships with their parents, they both have a relationship with an elemental power (sapnap is associated with fire, foolish has canonical lightning powers), and both have a ton of pets.
foolish - -> dream
this one barely counts but all i need to say is lmanburg and lsandburg and both of them making plans to kidnap skeppy coincidentally
other than that they're nothing alike, foolish is more of a victim in lsandburg than anything

hi to one of the top pezberry queens on here!! i was curious when you started shipping them and what made you start doing so? i remember you saying that at one point you didn’t like rachel so did you not like pezberry back then as well or just not rachel as an individual character?
Okay I'm so dumb I was like doing research into my own history with the ship lmao. Going through my blog archives to see the earliest Pezberry posts I made. It was mostly just reblogging a gifset here and there, plus I got quite a bit of Pezberry aesthetic requests, which was nice. And then once my blog turned about a year old, the Pezberry posts just increased like tenfold lol. From maybe a couple a month to like ~20 a month average
But yeah actually I think that I started shipping Pezberry and that made me like Rachel more, not vice versa. Because I made a character ranking in November of 2019 and Rachel was number 19 out of 25 characters lmao. She's certainly shot to the top since then. I'd probably have her as my fifth favorite character at this point
And I remember back in high school when I first watched the show, being like "I ship F*nn and Rachel bc I hate them both and I don't want them to bother anyone else" and then maybe there was a period of a little Faberry shipping in there until it was like oh, no, actually Pezberry are soulmates and you can argue with the wall about it 🤪
And honestly I don't remember having any strong Pezberry feelings when I originally watched the show. I was probably too busy freaking out about Klaine to have room for anything else lol. Which I think is good and bad for me bc on one hand, it would've been nice to experience that part of the fandom in its heyday when there's all sorts of new content just pouring out. But also it would be devastating to get swept up into such a great ship just to be disappointed when it inevitably wasn't made canon in the end. And I mean it's still disappointing but at least I know the whole story and there's no way to get my hopes up with a bunch of "what ifs"
But now the what ifs are the fun part. Canon can set on a shelf collecting dust while I map out how the show should've gone lol. I guess that makes it more fun 🥴

Sans x Self Insert Week-Day 6 [Missing You]
She should've gotten to him faster. Fought faster... But he dusted in her arms before she could even summon her magic. It had been days since then, but every inching second felt like forever. There's no doubt Papyrus blames her. But she'll do what she can to make sure he's safe. It's a promise she's willing to keep.
this is not canon for KingdomSwap, but is an idea i like to play around with once in a while. more info will be under the cut since it's gonna be very lengthy...
prompt belongs to @selfshipperapproved
KingdomSwapAU, KingdomSwap!Sans, and OC belong to me
Dragons were forced to spread out and keep their identities unknown. And because they're magic, they can create a human form for themselves. Since they started hiding, not many (in their regular forms) are ever seen by common folk. Over time the only knowledge and stories told of dragons were those by knights that stated they were evil and dangerous. This led to people being benign about dragon slaying.
Micoria (oc's name i finally freaking named her dhdhskdgdh) is mildly associated with a group of dragons that actively seek out to end the tradition of being slain by knights. One mission planned was to prove their innocence by arriving in the kingdom in dragon form and doing nothing to harm anyone. Whoever went would become a martyr, one way or another.
Around this time, Micoria had meet Sans and Papyrus but still held a(n) neutral/unfavorable stance towards them. So in a room full of nervous dragons, she hesitantly volunteered to fill the role.
As she flew over the buildings, Sans had spotted her as he exited his brother's bakery. Noticing her head towards the center of the kingdom, he sprinted in her direction. But by the time he caught up to her, she was bounded to the ground with ropes and the king was approaching. The king, upon seeing him, gave Sans the order to slay the dragon.
In a moment of hesitation, Sans swings his sword at the ropes and freed her. Micoria immediately bit his scarf and pulled them both off the ground to fly away. Sans demands they go back for Papyrus since he had just committed high treason, and they would immediately go after his brother
So they leave the kingdom and travel to escape the king. Eventually, they get caught. Unbeknownst to the surrounding knights, Micoria is in her human form and they think the dragon got away. A fight ensues, thus resulting in Sans getting badly hurt. [non canon break] Micoria wasn't able to save him in time, his only request for her to promise to protect Papyrus.
This leads to now, where they await sentencing for associating with a traitor
