katsuki bakugou thinks of himself as a rough guy. he doesnt think valentine's day is that important. it's just a stupid holiday. it's not like it means anything important, right?

it's ten till six, and he's just got back from training. after many grueling hours. he makes his way to your dorm (aizawa will definitely murder him, but he doesnt really care).

as he's reaching for the knob, he hears your pretty voice. "it's like.. does he even like me?" he can hear your whiny tone. "i dunno, ribbit, maybe he just forgot." that damn frog. of course she's in your dorm, right when he wants you to cuddle study with him.

he continues listening to the conversation, he's not eavesdropping, just.. being a caring boyfriend.

"tsu, how could he forget? it's constantly in his face! i mean denki 'nd jirou are even going out for valentine's day!" bakugou lets out a soft huff, silently cursing himself for not thinking about this stupid holiday. he didnt forget, shitty hair has been talking about it 24/7. he just didnt think that you wanted him to ask you.

bakugou finds himself standing in front of his mirror, hyping himself up like an idiot. he got flowers, also some chocolates. he spent 10,000 yen on these flowers. he feels pathetic, he doesnt worry about little things like this.

the most embarrassing part of this is walking all the way to your dorm, which is on a different floor, and he obviously has to walk through the common room in front of his classmates. he gives mineta a dirty look when he hears him snicker. "shut it, you damn extra. you dont even have a girl to be your valentine." that shuts up the purple boy, who just pouts like a child.

he's at your door now, his knuckles hovering over the wood before he finally knocks. he hears your voice call out, "coming!" what if you dont like the flowers? what if you shove the chocolate in his face and rip the bouquet apart? oh god--now youve opened the door.

he clears his throat, "uh, hey." he shoves the bouquet into your hands. "kats'? what is this.." he scoffs, trying to mask his nervousness for indifference. "flowers, i know. pretty sappy.." you raise a brow, looking up at him.

"why did you get me these?" "'cause yer my valentine, idiot." he says quietly, his nickname for you. "i am?" youre a clueless thing, even though he's your boyfriend of five months, he's not the most affectionate. you dont mind, because he makes up for it in other ways.

"yeah, you like 'em?" he murmurs, sound almost.. insecure? you nod quickly, "i do! i love them, kats'!" he looks down at you, picking at his fingernails. "i also got you chocolate, but.. it melted in my pocket."

you laugh, your eyes managing to crinkle. "come in, babe."

bakugou sighs in relief, stepping into your dorm. he closes the door behind himself and stares at you. "so, valentine, wanna watch a movie?"

this might be a strange take but as someone who was groomed and who had what i would call an "elitist" mindset towards it, zako really seemed like it was about that mentality. of knowing you were playing with fire but feeling like you were above it. and for that i was really attached to it for the 2 hours it was out. the more logical side of me KNOWS its more likely a play off mimukawa nice try but i would love to believe it was meant to cater to a different audience than loli-cons. what's your take on the fiction vs reality of it? do you think westerners are just overreacting

I think you're interpretation of the song is valid, and pretty interesting tbh! I had not thought about that at all, and it's a case for letting people interpret the song in their own way. Instead of kowtowing to the loudest, most offended people. I also think the fact the creators literally took down the song amid backlash is pretty strong evidence they didn't make a song "for lolicons". They obviously did not anticipate this reaction, Channel admitted to having reservations, and tried to make Yuuki somewhat older-looking in the video. Whether you think she does or not, is up for (good faith!) debate. I do think she does not look like the literal box art version of the character, but that's kind of beside the point.

there is no fiction vs. reality debate because there are no real human beings harmed in the making of this song. Like, full stop. The "well kaai yuuki has a child VA" shit doesnt hold water cuz that person is an adult now anyway, and there are plenty of other songs featuring her that go wayyyy beyond this one. Like it's just something people reached for out of convienence. Same for "it violates her TOS!" like no one gave a fuck about Kaai Yuuki's TOS before it became a convenient cudgel in this particular situation.

The thing is, no one can have conversations about stuff like this in good faith because you are immediately labeled some kind of monster for trying to have any kind of nuanced opinion. Any dissent from "this song/movie/book is irredeemably evil and your sick for defending it" is taken as proof that you are a pervert monster. It's such a clear example of people, willfully and gleefully, diving into reactionary thinking without a shred of thought.

When really, I do think having an actual conversation about lolicon causing you discomfort is totally normal, and it's a pretty reasonable response to this stuff! But people can't just say that, they have to burn the whole thing to the ground, in the name of "protecting kids" or whatever bullshit they come up with. I don't actually like a good portion of Miku art for the same reasons people didn't like Zako! There was art going around on twitter of Miku with a literal binkie in Her mouth like a baby, and that shit was kind of weird! But I just didn't engage with it, that's it. People whipped each other up about the "harms" of this song, when simply not liking or engaging with it at all would have been the normal thing to do.

Freak outs like this do not protect anybody from anything. My big hot take is that having a moral panic about literally anything has more potential for actual harm than whatever it is people are panicking over. You simply cannot make rational, thoughtful decisions that prioritize protecting people from abuse when you are in a panic, or listening to people who are in a panic. You just can't!! It's not how shit works!

I know I have other asks about this, but I'm kind of trying to answer here, definitively, and let the topic dissipate. I'm glad I got the video downloaded, and we'll see what they release to appease all the weirdos who freaked out about the song. People objected to both the video and the lyrics themselves, so I don't know how they're going to come out with a new version that isn't radically different than the original. We'll see.

Feeling rather numb tonight, so to avoid old habits, i decided to channel it into another bit of drabble. No littlespace in this one, just some intimacy that hopefully comes across okay.

Basically Red's feeling numb and empty but doesnt know why. It's a good thing she has Chloe to just be there for her.

**Trigger warning for depression and dissasociation**

Red sat on the ground beside her bed with her back against the wall as she listened to the water running from the bathroom as Chloe showered.

The bluenette had just finished an evening practice that Red had watched from the bleachers as she often did, and so the Princess had retreated to wash up as soon as they made it back to their dorm.

She could hear her girlfriend singing softly and knew from experience that the girl would be taking her time as it was the kind of shower Chloe often liked to relax and enjoy.

But Red didn’t really want to have to wait for her to finish.

The Wonder had been feeling rather numb that day. Nothing out of the ordinary had happened, she hadn’t even been in any kind of bad mood earlier, but for whatever reason, as she sat there listening to Chloe’s soft singing and the shower going, she couldn’t help but notice the somehow heavy and hollow feeling that had settled in her chest.

She wasn’t feeling anxious per say, as her anxiety was usually sharper and faster. This feeling was more… numb.

She didn’t like it, but didn’t have the faintest clue as to what could make it better.

Which was why she wanted Chloe.

As a caregiver, her girlfriend was adept at helping her pinpoint her feelings and figure out how to dissipate the bad ones, even when she wasn’t feeling Little.

But her girlfriend had seemed to be in such a good mood that Red was feeling rather hesitant to say anything, as the last thing she wanted was to bring the other girl down.

She couldn’t help but feel like her negative emotions had been spiking a lot more recently and she felt it wasn’t fair to Chloe to have to keep dealing with them and addressing them over and over again.

Why couldn’t Red just be happy, or content?

But then the other problem at hand was that she had promised her girlfriend she would try harder at being open and honest with her, and that meant informing her of when she was feeling something like this.

It was kind of feeling like the Rebel was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

An almost sorrowful sigh passed her lips and Red closed her eyes as she felt she knew what she had to do.

She took another moment to muster the motivation she needed, and then pulled herself up off the floor to head into the bathroom.

She shed her jacket easily, letting it drop onto the floor and kicked her boots off to let them lie beside it, but she didn’t bother with her shirt and pants, as she couldn’t bring herself to care.

Then she silently padded over to the shower and before she could think too much on it, she pulled back the curtain and slipped inside.

Chloe had been washing her hair, lathering her curls methodically when she’d felt the chill of cool air entering the heated space.

She turned around out of curiosity and her eyes widened when she saw her girlfriend step into the stream of hot water, still fully clothed.

“Red? What are you doing Baby? You’re still wearing your clothes <i>mon amour</i>” She came stepped forward intending to start undressing the girl as a part of her figured that maybe her Little had slipped and needed help undressing, but before she could even tug at her shirt, Red was stepping forward and hugging her, not paying any mind to the fact that Chloe was completely naked, or that she was getting completely soaked.

Chloe instinctively wrapped her arms around her, concern quickly bubbling to the surface when she felt how tense the redhead was, and she knew immediately just from that, that the girl wasn’t slipped.

“What’s the matter, Love?” She asked her softly as she held her close, feeling Red nuzzle her face into her collarbone.

Red didn’t respond, as the rebel didn’t actually feel like she had an answer, but Chloe didn’t push.

“Do you feel little at all Sweetie?” Chloe asked just to be sure and Red shook her head in the negative. She didn’t feel an ounce of fuzziness in her mind. She was completely grounded in her big self.

“Okay Baby. It’s going to be alright. I’ve got you.” The bluenette’s words were incredibly comforting, and Red could feel some of the tension in her shoulders bleed away as Chloe stroked her wet locks.

“Let’s just get you out of these clothes, okay? I don’t imagine they feel too comfy right about now.” Chloe pulled away and Red had to fight the urge to cling to her. Instead she allowed the taller girl to pull her shirt over her head and work her weight jeans down her thighs.

Once Chloe had removed all her clothes, and left them in a sopping pile in the corner of the tub, the Princess then grabbed Red’s loofah that sat beside her own and got to work on cleaning the girl with the Little safe bodywash that she normally only used on her girl when she was in Littlespace.

Red watched her movements as though she were in a trance, letting the caregiver manipulate her as needed until she was able to rinse the rebel off entirely, and once she was done, Red took the opportunity to go back to clinging to her as she had before.

Chloe started humming a soft and soothing tune as she let the redhead cling while she then worked on washing the rebel’s long luscious locks.

Red simply relished in the catharsis of the other girl’s touch as she let herself get lost in her melodic voice.

Before she knew it, Chloe had managed to both finish up washing and conditioning her own hair along with Red’s and soon the water was shut off.

The bluenette expertly maneuvered her girlfriend as she reached out to grab their towels that hung beside each other on the rack right outside the curtain.

Her humming didn’t stop as she worked diligently at drying the both of them off before bringing them out of the tub where she then wrapped and fastened Red’s towel around the teen right under her arms before doing the same with her own around herself.

Then she took Red’s hands and gently led her out into the dorm, making sure to keep watch of both the girl’s monotone expression and where they were stepping so there was no chance of any tripping or falling.

In almost no time at all Chloe got them both dressed, opting to wear a t-shirt and sweats while dressing Red in a t-shirt and shorts from the big side of her closet.

Red still remained silent, simply watching her girlfriend who would occasionally offer her soft and reassuring smiles throughout the whole process.

Finally, after Chloe had taken them back into the bathroom to blow dry their hair before bringing them back out into the room, the bluenette climbed into Red’s bed and pulled the other girl down to lie into her, making sure to snake her arms around the Wonder’s slim frame and hold her close.

“I don’t know what’s going on in that pretty head of yours, but I want you to know that I love you, and I’m proud of you for coming to me.” She whispered the words so closely Red could feel her warm breath against her cheek, and suddenly the rebel could feel hot tears streaming down her face.

“I-I love you too.” Red choked the words out, her voice sounding alien to her own ears, but Chloe still smiled, her warm gaze anchoring Red, allowing the redhead to feel just a little more grounded than she had been.

The Princess softly wiped at the rebel’s tears before pressing a loving kiss to the girl’s forehead.

“Let’s just try and get some sleep tonight, and maybe you’ll be feeling better in the morning.” Chloe told her, deep chocolate irises scanning her face as she seemingly read her soul..

“And if I don’t?” Red whispered the words with a bit of hesitance and uncertainty, but Chloe didn’t falter, her smile even widening just a touch.

“Then I sign us out of classes, and I get to spend the whole day holding you just like this.” She kept her tone just as low as Red’s and a smidge of warmth finally found it’s way into the hollowness that she’d been feeling in her chest.

“It’s okay to not be okay, Red. I just won’t leave your side until you are.” Red swallowed thickly.

“I don’t deserve you.” She croaked, and her words made Chloe’s brow furrow momentarily.

“Impossible. Don’t listen to whatever mean little voice you have up here that's feeding you lies right now.” She gently tapped at the girl’s temple. “You deserve the world, <i>mon cœur</i>, and I won’t stop reminding you of that until you can remember it for yourself. However long it takes.” She promised.

“And if it takes a lifetime?” Red asked nervously but Chloe again just smiled and Red felt the numbness break up just a little more as the bluenette caressed her cheek.

“Then I guess I’ll just have to spend a lifetime reminding you of what you mean to me… And what a wonderful lifetime that will be.”

analyzing Watch Me Soar by Willemijn Verkaik (and Scott Alan) (guys i love Willemijn shes such a great singer and me when her Elphaba and i could rant about her for hours and-) [basically] line by line, here we go

first line and it starts off *strong*. like. 'im not that young girl you once knew, im no longer 12'. thats literally what would happen when Icarus came back, everyone only remembered them from the times before they first died. dropping the age like that is crazy everyone would remember them as that small child (we dont look at Chronicles of Wonder i found this song before that came out guys i promise this is still coded) and the first line just straight up calls that "And I, I have been patient, I have been kind I paid all my dues and I gave up my time I can't be confined to the past anymore My wings have grown"

the first two verses are just about them being Quixis. about trying their best to do their job, trying their best to just do the right thing and come back as fast as possible and- 'i cant be confined to the past anymore' is so- cuz like- theyre not the same person they were as a child. theyre not the same person they were during all the seasons. theyve changed, many things have changed, they want to be better than what they were before, they want to be a good brother, a good friend, not be remembered as the person who killed multiple of their friends, the person who hurt so many of their friends and family. they want to redeem themself and the line 'my wings have grown' is just so- because they dont have wings in the worldport. and their wings are important to them, theyre such an important part of them, and they dont have that in the worldport. and they finally get to experience having wings, experience the freedom of flying

something something Icarus just having to wait and wait and wait. wait for their job as Quixis to be over. with the knowledge that their family doesnt remember them, many of their friends dont even know who they are

now. first two verses are about their time as Quixis again. about how long theyve had to spend, waiting, working, alone. theyve given up so much, spent *so many* years alone, watching over the universes, with no one but a chicken to keep them company

the last two verses are them just being happy about being back. finally being able to do the things they *want* to do not the things they *need* to do they can open their wings again, fly, experience weather, nature, be themself again

"It's my time to soar, yes My time And I don't need you to love me, that's not what I asked I just want you to see that I'm more than my past"

its their time, they can soar the skies, experience things again, make bonds but they dont immidiately ask for forgiveness, they know theyve done a lot of bad stuff in the past. they just want people to see them as a new person, not what they were before, want people to see past the things theyve done. and this just fits so well

theyre so excited to be back, after being stuck for years. they just want to experience joy and do everything they werent able to do before

they deserve to be a happy birb boi me thinks. 'feel the wind press against me as my wings learn to fly' because they would need to get used to that. they dont have their wings in the worldport and theyve spent so long without them, it would take some learning and figuring out muscle memory to fly like they used to

this entire section is just so Icarus after coming back from being Quixis, especially singing to Rae, but just to everyone too- and.. even tho this is the wrong gender, its still *so frickin coded*. perfect ending to this song and honestly im actually amazed how coded this whole song is. especially because i know it only because Willemijn sings it (im normal i promise im not hyperfixated at allll-)

and in general the way this song sounds is just so hopeful, its giving new energy and happiness and just- pure joy of experience, and i love it if you for whatever reason read this all, have a nice timezone<3 hopefully some of my rambles actually made sense <- local guy is eepy and totally not writing this at 5am- totally-

Mizu, femininity, and fallen sparrows

In my last post about Mizu and Akemi, I feel like I came across as overly critical of Mizu given that Mizu is a woman who - in her own words - has to live as a man in order to go down the path of revenge.

If she is ever discovered to be female by the wrong person, she will not only be unable to complete her quest, but there's a good chance that she'll be arrested or killed.

So it makes complete sense for Mizu to distance herself as much as possible from any behavior that she feels like would make someone question her sex.

I felt so indignant toward Mizu on my first couple watchthroughs for this moment. Why couldn't Mizu bribe the woman and her child's way into the city too? If Mizu is presenting as a man, couldn't she claim to be the woman's escort?

However, this moment makes things pretty clear. Mizu knows all too well the plight of women in her society. She knows it so well that she cannot risk ever finding herself back in their position again. She helps in what little way she can - without drawing attention to herself.

Mizu is not a hero and she is not one to make of herself a martyr - she will not set herself on fire to keep others warm. There's room to argue that Mizu shouldn't prioritize her quest over people's lives, but given the collateral damage Mizu can live with in almost every episode of season 1, Mizu is simply not operating under that kind of morality at this point. ("You don't know what I've done to reach you," Mizu tells Fowler.)

And while I still feel like Mizu has an obvious and established blind spot when it comes to Akemi because of their differences in station, such that Mizu's judgment of Akemi and actions in episode 5 are the result of prejudice rather than the result of Mizu's caution, I also want to establish that Mizu is just as caged as Akemi is, despite her technically having more freedom while living as a man.

Mizu can hide her mixed race identity some of the time, and she can hide her sex almost all of the time, but being able to operate outside of her society's strict rules for women does not mean she cannot see their plight.

It does not mean she doesn't hurt for them.

Back to Mizu and collateral damage, remember that sparrow?

While Mizu is breaking into Boss Hamata's manse, she gets startled by a bird and kills it on reflex. She then cradles it in her hands - much more tenderly than we've seen Mizu treat almost anything up to this point in the season:

She then puts it in its nest, with its unhatched eggs. Almost like she's trying to make the death look natural. Or like an accident.

You see where I'm going with this.

When Mizu kills Kinuyo, Mizu lingers in the moment, holding the body tenderly:

And btw a lot of stuff about this show hit me hard, but this remains the biggest gut punch of them all for me, Mizu holding that poor girl's body close, GOD

When Mizu arranges the "scene of the crime," Kinuyo's body is delicate, birdlike. And Mizu is so shaken afterward that she gets sloppy. She's horrified at this kill to the point that she can't bring herself to take another innocent life - the boy who rats her out.

MIZU'S ONE MOMENT OF SOFTNESS AND MERCY, COMING ON THE HEELS OF HER NEEDING TO KILL A GIRL TO SPARE HER THE WORST FATE THAT THIS RIGID SOCIETY HAS TO OFFER WOMEN, AND TO SPARE A BROTHEL FULL OF INNOCENT WOMEN WHO ARE THE CASTOFFS OF SOCIETY, NEARLY RESULTS IN ALL OF THEIR DEATHS

No wonder Mizu is as stoic and cold as she is.

And no wonder Mizu has no patience for Akemi whatsoever right before the terrible reveal and the fight breaks out:

Speaking of Akemi - guess who else is compared to a bird!

The plumage is more colorful, a bit flashier. But a bird is a bird.

And, uh

Yeah.

I like to think that Mizu killing the sparrow is not only foreshadowing for what she must do to Kinuyo, but is also a representation of the choice she makes on Akemi's behalf. She decides to cage the bird because she believes the bird is "better off." Better off caged than... dead.

But because Mizu doesn't know Akemi or her situation, she of course doesn't realize that the bird is fated to die if it is caged and sent back home.

Mizu is clearly not happy, or pleased, or satisfied by allowing Akemi to be dragged back to her father:

But softness and mercy haven't gotten Mizu anywhere good, recently.

There is so much tragedy layered into Mizu's character, and it includes the things she has to witness and the choices she makes - or believes she has to make - involving women, when she herself can skirt around a lot of what her society throws at women. Although, I do believe that it comes at the cost of a part of Mizu's soul.

After all, I'm gonna be haunted for the rest of this show by Mizu's very first prayer in episode 1:

"LET" her die. Because as Ringo points out, she doesn't "know how" to die.

Rewatching Adventure Time, I can't help but think so much Princess Bubblegum discourse would be non-existent if people actually watched the show to completion instead of randomly hyperfocusing on some of PB's bad deeds.

There's a very bizarre and commonly held belief that Princess Bubblegum did terrible things and got away with it, that nobody held her accountable. When the show makes a point, repeatedly, that Princess Bubblegum is well meaning but deeply flawed, and to some characters, straight up evil.

I see fans point to "The Cooler" a lot as proof that PB is an irredeemable character, and while it is her worst act in the entire show.... I think people forgot that that was the point. Near the end of the episode she stops spying on people in Ooo because it was an invasion of privacy. In another episode she's called out for exploiting some aliens and lets them go. She feels ashamed that her own people are terrified of her. She loses her entire kingdom, and realizes she needs to get her shit together.

I'm pretty critical of shows that are way too lenient on flawed female characters but Princess Bubblegum isn't one of them. She's awesome, and heavily misunderstood.

veilguard spoilers regarding a josie romance. but can we talk about the letter josie sends to a romanced inquisitor because. i’m sorry. fucking losing my mind at the fact that the inquisitor and josephine are close enough friends with the guy the inquisitor duels in her romance to be invited to meet his third child. implying they’ve been invited to the other two. at a baby shower and getting introduced as the one who dueled the baby’s father because he was trying to steal your girl. antivan romances insane.

ITS TOO FUNNY. i cannot imagine how they met and how yvette probably was like “teehee…. the man that my sister spurned…. has fallen in love with ME!” and the best/worst part is that ortranto really has. i like to think of them running around with each other and secretly meeting as though their families actually hate each other (they really don’t lol) . the ortrantos would probably be delighted to have their son actually marry a montilyet like they wanted, even better that they’re actually in love and it’s not arranged!

i have this image of josie going like “you can’t marry him. is this a joke, because it’s not funny. i almost embarrassed him! the only reason the ortrantos do not hate us is because he is a very kind man who saw that i was in love with the inquisitor! ….yes i suppose a very kind man like that could love you…….. yes of course i want you to be happy…… yvette gabrielle montilyet, i fear you are not hearing what i’m saying— DON’T SAY YOU ARE ALREADY AN ORTRANTO. DID YOU ELOPE? ah okay. don’t do that. i said don’t do that. yvette come back and listen to me” etc etc

of course i must believe that there was a big scene caused (once again) by a montilyet and ortranto that ends with lord ortranto making a speech where the publicly declares his love for yvette in front of all of antiva city to see and hear. so there’s no backing out from this one. in my mind there’s a rehash of the big “BECAUSE I LOVE HER!” (ortranto, desperate but genuine), “you do?” (completely aghast josie who has somehow missed the fact her sister has been giggling even more than usual), plus an “OF COURSE HE DOES!” (a thrilled yvette) that reminds josie so fondly of her own love story that she's immediately relaxed (and suddenly accepting) about this whole thing <3

Stillborn? No, still born au -- Dani Phantom! Clone girl herself. :]

She can't exist in this au. And it's not that I don't want to add her -- although I'll be blunt, I don't, I'll be the first to admit that I think she's more often than not nothing more than a narrative deadweight used to prop up Danny and I don't like adding characters as props -- but her existence quite literally goes against and muddies the Vlad and Danny dynamic I have for this au. Ellie's existence in canon itself states that she was created -- and Danny's other clones too -- because Vlad gave up on trying to convert him to his side and decided to just make a son instead.

Something that just, doesn't happen in the stillborn-still born au. See, for folks who are only just hearing about this au or didn't see my post about Vlad in this au, he and Danny have a complicated love-hate relationship where they mutually want to adopt each other, but their morals and way of doing things -- mainly Vlad's insistence on getting revenge against the Fentons -- gets in the way of them being able to do that in full.

Vlad knows Danny wants him to adopt him, and is only fighting him on it because he refuses to let Vlad kill the Fentons for essentially killing the both of them. He's succeed in 50% of his goal. Canon Vlad never even made it to 1%. With that in mind, stillborn Vlad has no reason and sees no reason to clone Danny, he has his son. He just needs to convince him to let him avenge them both.

Dani simply has no place in the stillborn-still born au. And in fact, if Vlad did decide to clone Danny -- for whatever reason, -- it would damage his relationship with Danny damn near beyond repair. That's because Danny would view it the same way he views Damian's existence; as a replacement for himself. He would become beyond furious and hurt, and not for the typical 'I can't believe you cloned me, you creep!' reason, but for a 'I can't believe you cloned me, you said I was your son!' reason.

I am not pulling any punches here when I say Danny wants Vlad to be his dad just as much as Vlad wants Danny to be his son, there's just a lot of factors getting in the way. They are, as the french say, ✨mentally unwell.✨ Danny has a ton of abandonment and trust issues due to his experiences in foster care. He would immediately become jealous, insecure, and incredibly furious and hurt. He'd despise her on principal and want nothing to do with her, or Vlad for that matter. He'd just fucking haaate her. It's not her fault she was made but Danny doesn't really care, he's lashing out and pushing people away because he's been betrayed yet again.

The only way they could get along or for Danny to actually like her in any capacity would be if it was his idea to clone himself. Which is like, kinda obvious but considering most clone plots tend to be non-consensual it's kinda gotta be said. He has to have a hand in creating her, that's the only way I can see him liking her in any way. Or if someone other than Vlad created her. If Vlad clones him though, all bets are off the table and he'll despise her.

TL;DR: Dani can't exist in this au because she goes against the narrative I've got for the two most fucked up half-dead could-be-father-son duo in existence, but if she did exist Danny would despise her.

Determined and head strong, can out-stubborn the Batman, has a strong moral-backbone and does what he thinks is right regardless of what anybody else says, Robin. Jason who was sassy and quippy and made crude jokes with a smile on his face. Jason who hid in Bruce's cape and whispered gossip to him. Jason who, if Bruce refused him something, could keep bothering endlessly until Bruce caved. And also dramatic Jason. If Bruce tells him no, it becomes a whole theatrical show; a monologue, a narration, embellishments, and falling onto the floor in his grief upon the fact his cruel father has denied him once again.

(Jason who has suffered through abuse and homelessness and poverty and starvation, who is the Fight out of Fight or Flight, who's built up defenses and walls and when pushed and triggered responds with the thing that's always protected him; anger. He's sweet and kind and funny, and when he sees a pimp hitting a prostitute he gets furious and responds with violence.)
