but also seeing the tags on that post... athena quitting is wishful thinking because we hate copaganda. y'all need to remember the PREMISE of the show was to have 1. firefighters, 9-1-1 operators and police (meaning they won't ever give up the police component of the show) and 2. "america wants to see angela bassett in a police uniform" still one of the most anti-black things i've heard ryan murphy say but no surprise there.
WE want athena to retire bc we're sick of copaganda and she's an otherwise great character. the show has always been copaganda and won't ever stop being copaganda and athena has made it very clear that no matter what happens she is more than happy with her job. this is a woman who defended cops who violated her family to said family. in response to her daughter trying to call her out, she doubled down on how proud she is to be a cop. she is a cop because she thinks like a cop, including all the self-righteousness regarding "defending the law" that comes along with it. she abuses her power because that's what cops do and are honestly empowered to do. her never facing any consequences is how police works in shows and in real life. she does things she herself would arrest any ordinary citizen for. and she she's also made it more than clear that she has no intention of ever quitting. she rejected retirement even after almost being killed on the job multiple times AND amidst the black lives matter movement, that's how much she loves being a cop.
the show can't have her quit or even question her job and replace it with being a PI because it would invalidate all the copaganda it has worked so hard to push down our throats for 7 seasons. they made it an integral part of her character to be a cop through and through and because she's played by angela bassett they expect us to excuse her cop-behavior and abuses of power.
like because i love angela bassett and because athena is fictional i still love her but i can only love her critically and i won't excuse her being a cop ever. what pisses me off more than her realistic behavior in terms of her job is the show putting her in this position in the first place and trying to convince us it's okay and normal and not to be questioned. especially since she is representation and they lean so heavily on her being a cop that they think they can get away with showing less of her vulnerability than many other characters get to show. she gets to be strong, hard and angry a lot but how often throughout the show have we really gotten the chance to see her vulnerable moments, her soft moments compared to other characters?
i just doubt we can expect the show to do better on this front when it's been like this since its conception and so all that's left for us is to fantasize rather than expect
#it saddens me that angela is stuck in this plot/propaganda device type of role the writing of which seems to confine her a bit#she does such an amazing job portraying her and i do love athena and her relationship with bobby and the kids and her protectiveness so much#but god i hate copaganda and she's the only one who can make me watch a copaganda show 😭#we just can't pretend that it isn't what it is#sigh#athena grant#911 abc#athena grant nash#copaganda#acab

Buckle Up, Bitches. This is a long one.
Okay, I've definitely had some gripes with episode 2 and the fact that it took me this long to rewatch the episode to collect my thoughts says something. I even stopped the episode halfway through and got distracted with something else for about 3 hours before remembering what I was doing and resuming it.
...
I didn't like this episode. Unfortunately the bad outweighed the good for me.
First up, Lola, Norman, and Julien.
Why the FUCK did they do a storyline where Lola cheats on Norman?? Their whole introductions/characters in season 2 were about how Norman didn't see her after they had a kid so she went out of her way to force him to look at her by flashing the freeway. Go off Queen.
She gets arrested but she and Norman are super happy and making out, and they even admitted that the situation saved their marriage when Josh and Sue gathered people Maddie helped to convince her not to quit. The cheating storyline is so out of character for Lola that when I saw episode 1 and she was acting weird around Julien, I thought she knew he was a bad guy but he had threatened her off screen or something and she didn't want to worry Norman, not that they were seeing each other???
I thought Julien had just mistaken them for smugglers since they were living on the cruise ship, Lola found out and confronted him, and he threatened her to keep quiet about the operation but didn't get to call off the guys he was working with in time so Lola and Norman ended up getting jumped.
When Norman found out Lola was cheating on him after getting shot and was groaning in pain, all he could do was go into denial and talk about how Lola cheating couldn't be true. Then when he was lying on the poker table talking about the life he and Lola had, 37 years, selling all their stuff with handmade price tags, it made me feel both genuinely sad and angry. Not angry at Lola, angry at the writers for making this storyline for them. If people who have never seen the show go back to watch all the seasons and get to Lola and Norman's episode, they're gonna have it in their mind that their love is a lie and apparently Norman doesn't love Lola enough to keep her satisfied which is why she's cheats on him later. They're gonna see it as Lola being a horrible person this whole time, someone who likes to sleep around, or even just chalk it up to "Women ☕" and that pisses me off! That's not their characters and the fact the writers were portraying them in that light is horrible.
*sigh*
Then we have the whole Hen storyline, and oh boy do I have words about that.
Episode 1 did an amazing job reintroducing the characters to new people (except for Athena, I don't care about Marisol). In fact, if not for the Athena thing, I'll make a post about that later, it would've been a solid 10/10 (9/10 cause Karen wasn't in it lol).
Hen was shown to be a great captain when under intense pressure, going with her gut about which wire the pilot said to cut and even double checking, being a teasing but helpful friend to Chim about the forever dating thing, being kind and knowledgeable with the woman in the hot tub incident and teasing Chim again, and being an ear Athena could rant to when she thought Norman killed Lola. She was absolutely amazing...
Episode 2 ruined all of that.
She's at the car accident and is caring and attentive to the daughter and her mom, but then she's suddenly in a bad mood and making assumptions when it comes to the guy who blew through the light. She sends Chim over to him and when the dude is acting rude, telling them off, and threatening their jobs, she does the right thing and asks if he's refusing care. He says yes, he doesn't consent, so she doesn't give him care. Even in a bad mood she's still doing her job properly. Chim's been a firefighter/paramedic longer than her and should know that if someone refuses care, you can't force the care onto them, so he had no reason to try to make her change her mind about that.
Putting that aside, her words to Chimney really made me upset,
"No, he's done. Why is it that drunks always come out of these things without a scratch?"
Why the fuck did the writers make her say that? What did the dude being drunk have anything to do with it? Also Aisha's delivery is great but the line is terrible. Why put so much emphasis on the guy being drunk?? Hen doesn't act like this. She gets pissed off sometimes, yes, but in season 1 when Bobby had a relapse and she and Buck found him in his apartment, she was empathetic and sensitive to his struggles and has been ever since. You can't tell me if Bobby was the captain on that scene, she would've said it anyway because she wouldn't have. So I'm just supposed to believe that when he's not there, that's how she acts??
I think the thing that really made me upset was the fact they kept going back to the guy being drunk. He could've been completely sober but texting on his phone while speeding, he could've had a muscle spasm that made him hit the accelerator, he also could've just been a dick and decided to run the light for the hell of it. The part about him being drunk or not shouldn't have gotten so much attention, because either way HE STILL REFUSED CARE!!!
They could've still had the whole Hen's intern captain position being paused because it's a councilwoman's son and rich people use money to sue and try to make things go away to keep themselves in a good light with their public image. Like the chief said, all the signs of impairment could've been indications of the brain bleed the dude had, but again, THE GUY REFUSED CARE!!!! Hen says this but still gets put on pause cause rich people.
Buck saying they can't fire her for one bad call is true, but it also wasn't a bad call??? Toxic reports or not, if the guy refused care then he refused care!!! It's not her problem!!! It would've been worse if he refused care, she gave it to him anyway, saved his life, but now she's getting sued for bullshit reasons and can't be a firefighter/paramedic anymore because she went against protocol.
And they're talking so much about how the guy was definitely drunk. So drunk that obviously everyone could smell it off him. WHY DOES THIS MATTER????
DRUNK OR NOT THE GUY REFUSED CARE!!!!!
You might be wondering why I'm repeating myself but I was wondering the same thing watching the episode. Why are they repeating the fact that the guy was drunk??? And then Hen thinks all of them betrayed her because they don't know for a fact if the dude was drunk or not.
Hen's ranting to Karen (omg Karen hi!!! 🥰🥰🥰 I'm so sorry this is your only scene 😭😭😭) saying,
"I just feel like if I was any other captain, I would not have been benched."
Shut the fuck up, yes you would have. It doesn't matter who the captain is, what mattered was who the victim was. I'm sure there's been times where someone refused care and ended up dying because of it. It's like that woman's dying mother with cancer who took a bunch of pills but had a DNR so when Hen and Chim showed up they legally weren't allowed to do anything. Even though the daughter was freaking out and telling them to do something, they stayed professional and said they couldn't. Neither of them got benched for letting that woman die. Hen's getting benched because the dude's mom was a councilwoman, not for any other reason.
Hen's upset cause she thinks Buck, Eddie, and Chim were trying to comfort her because "they assumed she screwed up", then she starts second guessing herself on whether or not she did screw up and goes on about how she thought the guy was an "entitled rich brat" anD OH MY GOD WHY WERE THEY ON THIS FOR SO LONG!!!!!
Entitled or humble, rich or poor, brat or dom, drunk or sober, IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!!
THE GUY REFUSED CARE!!! STOP HANGING ON THE MATTER OF IF HE WAS DRUNK OR NOT!!!!
And then the reports come back and it turns out he actually was drunk plus had drugs in his system. Whoopty fucking doo. That didn't matter nor did it excuse the fact they carried that stupid plot for no reason across the entire episode.
The guy. Refused. Care. That should've been the end of it.
*sigh*... I have a headache.
Sorry guys, I love 911 but this episode was a flop for me. 3/10. If not for the cool action scenes and beautiful transitions, it would be much lower. Hopefully things are better in episode 3.
TL;DR
The Lola cheating on Norman with Julien storyline fucking sucked, and everyone and their mother focusing on if the guy who caused the car accident might've been drunk or not storyline fucking sucked too. He refused care so it shouldn't have mattered if he was drunk or not.

✨My (maybe) Unpopular Heroes of Olympus Opinions✨
(maybe part one??? idk)
-I dont really ship any of the main canon ships in HoO. None of them had any chemistry and most of them are either pedophilic, forced and rushed, or toxic in some way
-Most of the characters that were shoved into relationships (Leo, Nico, and Hazel especially) really did not need a love interest to complete their character arcs and their relationships ended up boring and flat cause Riordan just wanted everyone to have a love interest and it never went deeper than the skin
-Piper took advantage over Jason’s amnesiac state and manipulated him. She really went ‘But what if he has a girlfriend he can’t remember 👉👈 it would be wrong to start a relationship with him while he still has amnesia 👉👈 and cause it was based off lies and fake memories 👉👈 lmao imma just jump all over him and make him fall for me while he’s still amnesiac 🤪’ as if that’s not taking advantage over someone’s mental state
-And then she blamed her relationship being forced on Aphrodite and Hera saying they ‘forced her into a relationship’ and ‘arranged their relationship’ even though Aphrodite never said anything about or did anything to them and Hera gave Piper fake memories of them being a couple but it was Piper’s conscious choice to act out on those memories she knew were fake and her relationship was in no way influenced by anyone (especially Hera and Aphrodite) other than herself
-Shelper and Solangelo were way too rushed and forced (inside and outside of the books) and were only added for publicity, plus it seems like most of the fandom only like them cause they’re LGBTQ+ ships
-I hate Pipeyna and Pipabeth. My girls (especially Reyna) deserve better than some manipulative little girl who went ‘we were friends? no weren’t ❤️’
-The fandom portrays the characters really inaccurately (tweaking them a bit for humor is fine, but changing their entire personality is a different thing)
-The movies actually aren’t that bad when not compared to the books (I mean, you gotta admit- it’s pretty good effects for 2010)
-And speaking of the movies, they did a better job at portraying Thalia and Annabeth’s relationship in one movie than Riordan did in 5+ books
-Speaking of which, Riordan wrote pretty much every platonic friendship that weren’t Thalia/Nico and Reyna horribly and most of them shouldn’t have been friends and wasted all the potential for the good friendships
-Calypso should’ve joined the Hunters, not Reyna
-Annabeth and Piper are horrible friends lmao (separately and together)
-Silena is a hero and deserves redemption, but Luke doesn’t despite most of the fandom agreeing he does (he was a pedophile y’all)
-The fandom over-exaggerated the Tartarus fall, it wasn’t really that bad tbh
-Reyna is stronger and a better leader than Annabeth
-Annabeth’s intelligence is more tell than show (and quite a few characters including Leo, Reyna, and Octavian have shown more intelligence than her)
-Riordan over-glorifies and overpowers Percy way too much. Just cause he’s the main character doesn’t mean he has to be the best of the best after barely 8 months of training (four years at CHB only in the summers is 8 months total)
-Speaking of which, Jason can beat Percy (8 months versus Jason’s twelve years) and so can Annabeth, Reyna, Thalia, Hylla, Luke, Hazel and maybe Frank and Nico. Percy’s skill is overrated and unrealistic
-And I feel like most of the fandom knows that Jason can beat Percy but just doesn’t want to admit it cause they like Percy more
-Same thing with the Greeks and Romans- the majority know the Romans are stronger and can easily beat the Greeks but they don’t want to believe it cause they favor the Greeks more
-Percy and Annabeth shouldn’t have been part of the Seven, they already had their chance to shine. Riordan should’ve brought minor characters into light instead
-And Piper shouldn’t have been part of the Seven either. Riordan really expects me to believe that she’s stronger, more powerful, and a greater/better hero and deserved to be part of the Seven more than Reyna, Nico, Clarisse, Thalia, etc.?
-Riordan’s women line-up of Reyna, Annabeth, Hazel, and Piper was really cheap and boring (Avengers: Endgame women line-up who?)
-Percy (in HoO) and Piper are easily some of the worst, most underdeveloped characters Riordan has ever written
-Annabeth got really bland and weak in HoO and couldn’t do shit for herself without others (especially newbies) having to help and/or save her. She pretty much became exclusively Percy fangirl
-As much as I like them, Frank and Hazel don’t have what it takes to be Praetors and Reyna and Jason should’ve stayed as them
-Jason’s whole ‘am I more Greek or Roman’ arc was dumb af
-Riordan’s bias towards the Romans is also dumb af (the Romans could beat the Greeks in an instant)
-Jeyna is and always will be 1000x better than Jiper
-Hazel is the most powerful demigod (way more than Percy and even Jason)
-My hot take on who should’ve been the Seven: Reyna, Nico, Thalia, Frank, Hazel, Leo, and Clovis (son of the god of sleep puts Gaea back to sleep who?)
-Riordan confirming Piper bi was a cheap move to make her more likable. It didn’t even make any sense. A character is confirmed LGBT only after they become a minor character despite being a main character before and kisses some random unnamed girl only three months after her ex-boyfriend whom she still loved dies??? girl what??? Kinda obvious it was just for publicity. Like- Riordan, honey, the LGBTQ+ community is not a circus you can plop your characters into to make them more entertaining❤️
-The PJ series as a whole isn’t that creative. It’s legit just a copy of exactly what past mythological figures have already done and a bunch of character tropes and clichés shoved into one book
-And in general it’s not even that well-written (like HP, it’s over-exaggerated a lot)
-All of the romantic relationships and platonic friendships are extremely unrealistic. Like they never argue/fight, disagree, etc. (then grow stronger from those fights) at all??? Even if they’re complete opposites???
-Reyna is the best-written character in the whole series and a queen she deserved better and y’all sit on her too much
-Theyna is ✨amazing✨ their dynamic and chemistry was just *mwah Pansexual Muslim blessings to you* and people are allowed to ship them even though they’re Hunters and swore off love
-Rachel doesn’t deserve all the hate she gets. Y’all hate on her cause she crushed on Percy when half of you are doing the same thing and then y’all go and ship Percy with Nico, Jason, Artemis, Athena, etc.
-If y’all want to hate on Jason for ‘not having a personality’ you’d also have to hate on most of the main HoO characters except Reyna, Nico, and Leo (and maybe Hazel) for the same reason cause they have the exact same problem tbh
-Zoë and Bianca’s deaths weren’t actually that sad. We didn’t get to see them enough nor did they have enough development for their deaths to have a real impact. The only sad thing about them was Zoë’s last words and Nico’s reaction
-Thalia needed more time in the books
-Reyna was the only main female character in HoO that wasn’t a boring, bland Mary Sue that all the other characters automatically loved. She was the only one with real flaws and distinct personality traits she’s my queen
-Piper, Annabeth, and Calypso did have flaws but the fact that they weren’t called out by other characters or even noticed are what makes them Mary Sues. It doesn’t matter how many flaws a character has, if they’re not called out by other characters (more specifically, other protagonists who actually like them) they don’t count as real character flaws
-Riordan can’t write female characters for shit
-Clarisse, Drew, and Octavian deserved better than being completely antagonized for no explained reason other than to make the protagonists seem better and to make the readers root for them. Those three had more potential than most of the Seven combined
-The whole ‘Aphrodite kids don’t train’ thing is bs. It’s specifically stated that all the demigods follow a strict schedule and have to follow it or they’ll be on stable duty or smth and the Aphrodite kids shouldn’t (and can’t) be excused from that
-Therefore, Drew should be way more powerful and skilled than Piper, at least enough to not back down automatically from a duel by a newbie who hasn’t even learned how to fight (Drew can control an entire cabin of people at once and Piper can barely control one person at a time, who’s more powerful again??)
-Also I have no idea why Riordan portrays all the Aphrodite kids as weak and girly in the first place. ‘Femininity’ and ‘weakness’ are not synonymous and ‘love’ and ‘beauty’ don’t equal ‘feminine’
-Speaking of which, love is actually really powerful but Piper doesn’t stand for love or ‘inner beauty’ and all her ‘thoughtful/insightful’ quotes in ToA/TBM about love were complete bs
-Riordan using the LGBTQ+ community for the sole purpose of making Piper seem more likable and ‘special’ was disgusting and proves he thinks that straight is the default- “...Or Hera’s ideas of what a perfect couple looked like. Piper finding her own way, not the one people expected of her” my ass. In other words, he’s saying ‘The expectations for love and the idea of a perfect couple are a heterosexual relationship, and anyone who 'finds their own way instead of the ones people expect’ are different’. ‘Different’ and ‘default’ are antonyms, so if you think LGBT people are different, then you think that straight is the default. Aphrodite is the goddess of love not heteronormative bullshit. Like Riordan, honey, you’re the one who thinks that the expectations for love and the idea of a perfect couple are heterosexual couples, not fictional gods from a fictional mythology. Remember kiddos- an author writes their own beliefs
If you don’t agree with some of these that’s fine sis it doesn’t matter if you have different opinions than me❤️

If you could rewrite Saint Seiya, what would you change about it? (In general. But if you want to talk about specific changes in each work, feel free.)
PS: You're an amazing writer and I love your drawings :)
Awww, thank you! You’ll make me cry T_T
Mh... what would I change about Saint Seiya... this is mostly classic + Hades, plus some other references.
I’d definitely make it more mythology accurate when it comes to the gods. As much as I love this work, the fact that Athena is portrayed as this perfectly kind and always gentle deity with no huge flaws is awful in my book. It’s fine when you look at her from an anime point of view, because she is with the good guys so she has to be good, but if you’re like me and have a sweet spot for mythology... yeah, it doesn’t sound right. Athena has done some pretty messed up stuff, and I would have loved to see how the Saint Seiya version would tackle the issue. Same goes for the “villains”. No matter what god it is, they’re always evil, even when they’re not supposed to be. And they always have the same story, just modified a bit. Come on, if you want to put so many villains, at least give them motives and stories that are deeply different. Not just the same soup. So yeah, this is something I would change 100%.
Another thing I would change is the excessive amount of recognition Seiya receives when he’s around. Protagonist or not, it’s annoying to see that he gets full credit for something he barely helped doing, and this happens way too much. The work might be called Saint Seiya, but the protagonists are five. Not one. Seiya is not the only one that does stuff, in fact, his friends to the same and even more. This probably is also the reason why I like more the title “Knights of the Zodiac” in all its languages. It’s ridiculous to have different people that achieve the same stuff, but still wanting to have a single protagonist that gets all the credit. So yeah, that would change to give everyone a fair amount of recognition.
Something else that pissed me off, and that I would immediately change, is how the story handled the Silver Saints and some fights against the Gold Saints. I get that you need the plot to go on, but if you introduce these warriors as tremendously more powerful than simple Bronze Saints, you don’t just kill them off like they’re nothing. I’d give the Bronzes more time to figure out ways to win, instead of bullshitting their way through them thanks to plot armor. Most of the Silvers’ deaths were absurd, either too quick or blatantly wanted by the plot. Get the Bronze injured more, don’t make it seem like the fights are easy, and make them use their brains instead of just their fists, since they’re going against stronger opponents. And, for the Golds... definitely take out Seiya breaking the horn. It’s ridiculous, and it doesn’t have an explanation. It’s literally just plot armor and nothing else. Also, I would rethink the way Shaka acts, for one simple reason: he was there when Pope Ares started mind controlling Aiolia. No way he saw that and thought “oh, this is perfectly normal, a Gold Saint mind controlled by the Pope it’s no big deal, let’s keep trusting him and his judgment”. I might be going a bit too logical here, but... come on. Shaka is not an idiot. No one would see that and think it’s fine.
Generally speaking, I would love to see less “everyone but us Saints is inherently evil” and more “everyone is not inherently evil unless proven otherwise”, because seriously. The majority of the Saints’ enemies are not actually evil. Some are, but the majority of them really just follows orders, and I’m not going to sit here and put the blame on people who are faithful to their leader. It’s the leader’s fault, in most cases, not the warrior. And this has been proven many times, since there’s more than one example of warriors actually understanding the situation and refusing to fight or choosing to die to amend their mistakes. Reducing that to “everyone but the Saints will never be good” is a trend I’m tired of seeing. There’s literally Saints that went berserk, but of course you get redemption. All the Saints get redemption, but not anyone else! They’re not Saint! Ok, I’m really salty at that, sorry. I know it’s not always the case.
Now, some minor details. I hate seeing how useless and skimpy are the Cloths worn by female Saints. It’s armor, is supposed to be a protection, not a sexy outfit. It doesn’t need to cover the entire body, male Saints don’t have that luxury (save for Golds), but my god just give them a normal armor with some normal pants and boots! It’s warriors we’re talking about, dammit. Not even Lost Canvas spared me this frustration, with Yuzuriha wearing close to no armor at all, and wearing very impractical clothes for fighting. Same with Saintia Sho, although this time with their clothes. Why do they need skirts? Yeah, they’re all girls, but why skirts????? I feel like a warrior that tries to fight like that, jumping and zooming all around, would not want to wear a skirt. This is not normal fighting, dammit. If it was, I wouldn’t have had problems with it, after all pants were not widely used in the past! But then again I hate how much “skirt targeted” is the world of girl warriors, so I’m definitely biased. Just give them some pants already!
Another detail I would change, now that I think about it, is how female Saints and female character in general are portrayed. In one way or another, they always end up weak, even if they’re strong as hell at first. I can count on one hand the times this downgrade didn’t happen. One minute they’re strong, the other they’re not anymore, because the plot doesn’t need them to be anymore. Shaina is a good example of this, going from a fierce warrior to... that, just because she fell in love. Repeat after me: love is not a sign of weakness, and women who love should not be portrayed as weak. Same for June, she appeared so badass at first, and the boom! useless. Marin as well, strong at the beginning, forgotten at the end, even though she had a better fate. Saintia Sho actually is a good example of how female Saints should be, compared to male Saints of the same rank. As much as people can dislike it, Saintia Sho did a better job at portraying female Saints than any other media. And they’re literally trying to sell us more women by genderbending the men of Saint Seiya, just so they don’t have to re-write the ones they already have. It’s not a difficult change, really.
This is all I can think about for now. I’m sure I have more things I’d change, but for now this is it. I’m way too tired for my brain to work.

Aight so none of you asked but here’s my Percy Jackson series fan cast
This is the first one I’ve ever done so I have no idea how this works. Also, I like the idea that the children be unknown actors so I only did the adults! Let’s get started!
Sally Jackson
Jennifer Hudson!!! The absolute queen! I think she would make an awesome Sally Jackson mainly because I love her acting and she deserves better after Cats.
Gabe Ugliano
David Cross. Honestly I’m not sure why I thought he would be a good Gabe...I think it’s because he was the bad guy in Alvin and the Chipmunks and that kinda stuck with me. I think he could pull off “jerk face step-dad”.
Chiron
Michael Sheen! Honestly the beard gives me ‘mentor that has been around for thousands of years and is honestly trying to keep this sixth grader from being killed by a “kindly one” on a field trip’ vibes. Also, he can do American accents (Prodigal Son is a great example). Not sure how he’d look as a centaur because my brain will not allow me to view that, so we’re just flying blind here.
Mr. D
So I’ve been a big advocate that Danny Devito should play Mr. D because if you listen to “Another Terrible Day” from the musical, to me that just screams Danny Devito. He could so pull it off!
Hades
Keanu Reeves just seems like he would be an awesome king of the underworld. He would threaten to trap Percy and his friends and I would clap just because it’s Keanu. Gah, I love him.
Poseidon
I don’t know if this is because I associate him with Aquaman or what, but honestly I want to see Jason Momoa as God of the Sea! Also, he could wear a Hawaiian shirt, chill and vibe, and wouldn’t have to go through the dangerous process of having abs on screen, so it would be great for him!
Zeus
GAH! Just... let me see Jeff Bridges as the King of the Gods! Look at him! I may know him as the Dude, the mentor from the Giver, and Kevin Flynn, but I would love to see him as an uber serious god who’s pissed because some kid stole his lightning bolt (we kinda saw that in the Giver and when Kevin Flynn Saw Some Things in Tron: Legacy, but I would like to see more).
Athena
I love Stephanie Beatriz, and it would be really cool to see her as the Goddess of Wisdom who does not approve of Percy, especially when it comes to her daughter. If not her, then I definitely would recommend Adria Arjona. In fact, now that I think about it, I would love to see her as Athena over Stephanie (but I love them both).
Hermes
I really think Tyler James Williams would be a cool Hermes. Also his ending in Whiskey Cavalier (where he presumably died or was kidnapped but we don’t know because it got cancelled) shows he deserves better. I would love to see him in this role!
Apollo
Will Smith would be an awesome Apollo! That scene from “The Titan’s Curse” where Apollo is driving his car across the horizon? I just see Will Smith. He would be so much fun!
Artemis
I just remember that in most scenes Artemis is portrayed as a young girl, about the same age as her Hunters. When I thought of that, all I saw was Erin Kellyman from her role as Enfys Nest in Solo. I would love to see her as Artemis!
Hera
I love Octavia Spencer and she serves “Queen of the gods” vibes at all times. I’m here for it!
Ares
Gonna be honest, this was my brother’s suggestion but I think Terry Crews would be a pretty cool Ares. I’m just curious about how he would pull of the biker vibe...
Aphrodite
I know in the book it says her appearance is always changing and I honestly do not have the strength to assign what actors would make a good Aphrodite so we’re just gonna skip this one.
Hephaestus
I love The Rock, and I would be happy to see him in any role in this series, but my brother suggested Hephaestus and I think it’s a pretty cool idea.
Aunty Em/Medusa
Honestly every time I thought about Medusa, I just thought of the White Witch lady from Narnia, so Tilda Swinton it is.
Mrs. Dodds
I honestly have no idea. For some reason, I can’t think of an actress that can pull off a southern accent that matches my image of Mrs. Dodds. So.....we’ll just move on.
Crusty
Ned Dennehy played Hastur in “Good Omens”, and he did such a good job of making my skin crawl. Those vibes are needed for Crusty the bed seller/ apparent child torturer.
Charon
This is another pull from “Good Omens” but Brian Cox did such an amazing job as Death! His voice just mixed with how I thought the ferryman of the Underworld, so bring him back for another death-related role!
And finally...
Kronos
Okay, so my brother made a suggestion of Andy Serkis as Kronos (since he is mainly just a voice character and ends up taking Luke’s form in the books if I remember right), and I could definitely see that! He voiced Snoke in Star Wars, and was the crazy white villain in Black Panther, but also (because I’m a total nostalgic) I just thought of someone who I could see voicing Kronos that I love so much....
BRUCE BOXLEITNER! For those who don’t know him, he’s mainly known as the voice of Tron in literally ANYTHING in the Tron franchise. He’s got this deep voice that would work so well for Kronos. Also, I miss seeing him in things that I deeply enjoy. Miss you king.
And that’s about it! Thanks for joining my excited rant.
